As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is virtually the top, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the evaluation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Zoo.
I know they're moving to larger premises soon (hopefully that helps) but even so this was a very disappointing visit. We'd seen everything that we could see within 20 mins, did a few more circuits to make it worthwhile, and they started the kangaroo/tortoise feeding just as we were going to leave after 45 mins. That was pretty fun but hard to see how the ticket prices and drive are justified.
We absolutely loved our experience at this zoo. We expected a basic reptile exhibit but it was so much more. The interactive part was the best and the bat exhibit was simply amazing. Also the place has a great personal feel to it that makes it so much more enjoyable than the larger zoos. And the zoo workers are great with their enthusiasm and insightful information. Highly recommended and a big thank you to all the staff for a great experience!
Great place. They take excellent care of their animals. Great place for a kid's birthday party.
Don't be fooled by thinking that it's downtown because the address says it's on bank street. It's quite far, like over 10 minutes south of the airport. It's well worth the trip nonetheless. The biggest surprise is that they're all rescue animals! Even that massive snake and huge crocodile... What were these owners thinking really?! Kids loved every bit of it. Good for kids, young and big, my daughter, who is two, wasn't afraid to have the African emperor scorpion crawl on her hand a little bit
Small Zoo with friendly staff. 5 star for the work they do rescuing animals in distress.
If you do anything, go to see the sloth. Place is pretty awesome.
Kids love that place.
even though this place was small, you can tell that there was a lot of work that went into the care of these animals and that the people working here truly love what they are doing. the hands on shows are excellent while still giving the animal space and respect. i wish this place has the funding and attention it deserves. it’s a great place to bring children there too, as long as they can understand and follow the instructions given by the keeper!
Wow very nice and interesting
We were there for a birthday party. A host took us on a guided tour that was interesting for the adults and the kids (3yrs to 8yrs).
Birthday for our 2 yr old was wonderful. Very friendly staff, and a good value for the full birthday package! Thanks little Ray's!
We had a great time. Looking forward to their new home although its across the city from where we are now.
Wonderful staff. Very friendly, knowledgeable and ready to teach. Zoo was amazing with a lot more animals and diversity then expected.
The place runs educational shows about how the animals leave and eat - feeding and petting shows. You can pet a python or a crocodile, and see a boa constrictor being fed a rat. Or 300 tarantulas co-habiting in a large glass tank. Turtles and snakes. Fish too. Come and see.
A little too expensive
Great programming for kids to learn about animals. Lots for them to see and do. Staff are informative and friendly.
Very friendly, helpful and informative staff. All exhibits were clean and animals well cared for. Great variety of reptiles. Very educational.
Great place to come with the family! Loved the hands on and feeding shows, and all the animals inside and out. Came here back when they first opened, and it has only gotten bigger and better since then.
Attended a birthday party here. It was great. Toured the zoo and then got to see and touch some of the animals up close. Saw feedings for a snake and a chameleon. The kids all had fun.
Great place to take kids. They are an animal rescue center for reptiles that doubles as a zoo. Lots of fun. My 2 year old really liked it
Loved the presentation and interaction!
Interesting demos
I mean.. we got to touch a baby sloth. It doesn't get much better than that. Fantastic place to bring the kids. No where else like it around. Very informative, lots of neat animals and wonderful staff. Do not judge it by it's exterior. Inside is amazing
The staff is excellent: well-informed, friendly, and entertaining. They have a good variety of animals to see, and the shows are fun for kids and adults.
Always fun to visit a cheap zoo, mostly kids there but staff are super cool to us older patrons regardless
Staff where friendly and knowledgeable. My family enjoyed every minute of their visit. Thank you
great presentations with good info and humour throughout the day (we went on a Saturday). animals are healthy looking, space is clean and tidy. lots of staff, volunteers etc to answer questions and tell you more about the animals.
Just had my daughters bday party here. The host was amazing. Very knowledgeable and perfect for kids. We were only scheduled until 2:30pm but we took too much time eating and unwrapping gifts. The host continued past the scheduled time to finish the show. Was worth every penny Highly recommend it 100 per cent Thank you little rays reptile zoo
Amazing experience... From the petting to the feeding to the presentation... This place makes me feel like a kid all over again. Brilliant idea for a museum.
Fun spring/summer place. Would love to return next year. You get to see and explore many different species of reptiles. Also in summer they have a few animals outside.
Great visit! Got to pet and feed their tortoises , rabbits and kangaroos! Also got to view and pet their reptile friends as well as their two-toes sloth! Big thanks to their employee Josh for showing us around and answering any questions we had.
Absolutely loved it.. amazing presentation, verry professional and educational. Thank you for an awsome visit, i will remember and talk about it for a long time
Amazing staff, kids loved it!
Surprisingly entertaining and educational for all ages, not just young kids
I have to say we always love going. The problem/reason we've only been a few times is because of the cost. And if I'm being honest, the souvenirs too. For the most part, the souvenirs are dollar store quality, and I have nothing wrong with that other than they cost waaaaay more than $1.50! The truck we bought lasted until we got home then broke.... I paid almost $15 dollars for it. And I can see why they'd need to charge a high fee to be able to care for the animals appropriately. But if the price was lower more people would come, which could make up the difference. Anyway.... I'm sure we'll go back in a couple years once I've forgotten the cost of entry :)
Great staff and very educational. Recommend being there for the group presentations.
I visited with my two year old daughter this morning and I can't say enough good things about the experience. The staff were amazing, the interactive show blew my daughter's mind, and the animals are all rescues which really made me appreciate what they are doing. It's a small place so I would budget 1-1.5 hours including the show but it's well worth it and very reasonably priced. It was a perfect morning out and I can't wait to come back every year so my daughter can learn about the animals.
Well run, educational, with opportunities for live interaction.
Had a fantastic time! Really love their dedication to being a rescue and educating visitors.
Little Ray's is one of my family's favourite places to visit in Ottawa. The feeding demos and meet the animal presentations are fascinating. We all learn something every time we go. We've also had them come to 2 of my son's birthday parties. The kids and the parents had a great time. I love this place!
Good place for a party for the kids - they have all sorts of little critters and snakes etc... there for the kids to see and learn of.
Kids loved it. All animals are rescues, and the information on pet care & ownership was on point. Meet & greet and feeding session with animals was exciting for the kids. One of which said "I didn't know this place would be fun".
Not crazy about any kind of zoo, really. Would be nice if they had more space for bigger enclosures here, as many of the animals seem cramped and stressed. They tout themselves as a "rescue" organization, for which I commend them, but as such, I'm not sure why they breed the animals they have. Aside from that, the staff seems knowledgeable about the animals and their care, and there are many opportunities for interaction with some of the animals.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. I went on their last day at that location. They moved to 2781 Colonial Road, Sarsfield, ON, K0A 3E0. But they are not yet open to the public. Their grand reopening is TBA. You can call them to book a show of their animals at your location or for a great Science show, book them to bring Radical Science to a location of your choice.
A lot better then I expected based on the external appearance of the building. Great fun and friendly staff let us get up and close with the animals.
Really enjoyed the presentations! The staff were extremely friendly and the reptiles seem well taken care of the employees. I would definitely go back...thank you for a fun day!
The kids , big and little, love the joint. Gonna be moving to a bigger place so keep aware.
Great place to take kids. Perfect for birthdays. Been there many times. Great knowledgeable staff and hey care about the animals
What an amazing experience! Employees were just amazing! And bilingual! Not too expensive and very educational! Would definitely recommend!
We had a great birthday fun feeding the reptiles and petting them.
A wonderful little place to see and interact with reptiles, great snakes,be sure to take in a feeding.
Best place to go if you are into reptiles. Lucy the alligator is just amazing but unfortunately he will be gone soon according to the staffs.
Loved it but I can't wait to see the new place cause it's kinda small right now
My kids just loved this place and the staff is super knowledgeable! So many reptiles and just a great time for the kiddos
I had so much fun there with my step children.. Will definitely be back.
Great place to take kids for an afternoon. The pet show is very interactive and informative. Kids can touch certain animals ( scorpion, snake, turtle..)
This is undoubtedly my favorite place to learn. There are many cute, interesting and unusual animals here. The staff know far too much to take in in a single trip. And to top it off, for a fee, you can even get a one on one with a sloth and feed it and if they arnt just the most amazing animals! Would always recommend this as a great place to bring the kids or the adults that want to learn a little more about animals and have a blast doing so!
Loved it. Not our first visit and not our last. Only criticism would be for the helpers there to be a bit more approchable and willing to answer questions.
Small, but well laid out with neat exhibits and great interactive presentations. Changing locations soon for more space.
Great place, great animal variety, they all seem well taken care of
Great experience, knowledgeable staff. Kids had a blast...and the adults too!!! :-)
Omg awesome. Got to pat reptiles, turtles, talk to the keeps, loved it...
Great place to bring your kids and waste time. There are some cool reptiles in there that you get to learn about and experience with. there are also other animals on the outside, got to see a kangaroo majestic balled eagle and more
Staff is incredibly knowledgeable!!!!! Very educational for the animal lover. Hard to stay for long periods of time as it's very warm inside (for the reptiles)
Had a birthday party there. Nice staff. They fed a frog and a couple of snakes in front of us.
Great little place to take the family. its unfortunate that they are moving, but hopefully its for bigger and better things!
Lots of great things to see! Had a wonderful time with my 2 year old. Got to touch some of the animals during a show and saw the alligator being fed! We will definitely be returning soon :)
Love this place!!! The live shows and hands on experiences are like no other.... He also rescues these animals which is not like other zoos.
Thank you for the wonderful private sloth encounter. The staff is devoted and you feel they love their job. Big thank to Conor. Will come back to visit the new location for sure and say hi to Roger :)
Nice for a 1-2 hour visit. Staff are respectful of the animals but still allow for some hands on experience. Thanks!
A great time for families with kids. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and so friendly. Our visit lasted 3.5 hours. Kids had fun interacting with the animals and watching the feedings.
Amazing spot! Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the hands on aspect is great. Very fun and educational!
This was an absolute blast for my two toddlers. Both loved getting to pet different reptiles and cuddly creatures. The staff was friendly and very informative and great with the kids.
My grandchildren, daughter-in-law and myself thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The staff were very polite and informative. The reptiles were fascinating and the place was very clean and tidy. Staff interacted great with the children. Definitely will go back.
Great place to bring the kids for an afternoon. Lots of different reptiles and the staff put on a few demonstrations throughout the day. Be sure to head out back and see the kangaroos, lynx, and eagles!
I felt sorry for the lynx, being hemmed up like that.
Staff is super friendly and helpful, the place is very clean and the animals look like they're well cared for. I went three times. Loved it every time! Highly recommend!
Great place to take take kids to see reptiles and other exotic animals.
Little Ray's is a shining example what a great interactive rescue/zoo is all about. It's fun, educational and always engaging. The kids absolutely love our visits to Little Ray's. It's sad to see them move to a new location so much farther away but I know my family and I are excited to see what kinds of things they can do with all that extra space.
Great place for kids. Very friendly staff. Lots of different reptiles and other animals. They bring animals out for you to see
It's neat but it's small and feels grungy to me. The staff members however, are all friendly and really interesting - in a good way.
The gentleman with the Australian accent was great with the kids!
Its not a large complex but they pack a lot of animals into a very small location. I've been twice and on both occasions the employee who provides the 'hands on' and 'feeding' shows did an excellent and extremely informative show. My 6 and 11 yr olds loved it both times.
The staff were wonderful! it was a little crowded and warm but it's to be expected on a Friday of the long weekend! Great shows and animals were awesome too! Wish I could remember his name that did the shows but he was great! Definitely looking forward to going back! :)
Nice little zoo that sometimes takes in animals that no one else wants and would be destroyed such as the alligator the staff is very friendly and teaches things about the animals
Amazing birthday party experience! Hands-on experiences for a crew of 8 year olds, plus pizza, cake, and even some education. Worth every penny!
I was born and raise in Granby Qc where we do have an amazing Zoo. Although I went to the Zoo thousands of times I have learned so many new interesting facts about Reptiles (especially Canadian species). Yesterday we had, once again, Little Ray's Reptile Zoo and our end of the year school events and they were Amazing! The presentations is well tuned, the show is family friendly, very affordable and you will not be disappointed.
It was great for my 3yr old grandson and great for all of us in between. Great place. We're going to be going again! Looking forward to the new location this summer.
The people who run this place are the kindest souls! My friend's 5 year old daughter Eva got badly bitten by a big dog and spent almost two weeks in hospital. Since most of her injuries were on her face and head, she was very conscious of the stitches and bruises, feeling like she was ugly and not wanting to see anyone. Knowing how big of an animal lover she is, I thought an animal show might cheer her up. I called the zoo explaining the situation and asking if it would be possible for them to have the show at the hospital. Not only did they agree to do that, they decided they'd do it pro-bono! We ended up having the show at the family's apartment upon the Eva's release from the hospital and it was AMAZING! Dallas was so engaging and fun, and she picked the perfect animals for the show. Eva was absolutely ecstatic and talked about the show non-stop during the next couple of days. She seemed her usual happy and chatty self, thanks to the kindness of Little Ray's Zoo staff. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts! You, guys, are the best and we will no doubt be seeing much more of you now. ❤️
Super friendly and bilingual staff, lots of different presentations, great for learning and seeing various species of animals. Will definitely visit the new location once open!
We had my daughter's birthday party at the little ray's reptile and the kids had a blast !!!!!!!! Josh was are guide and he was great.... he made it very interesting and memorable for all !!!!!!!! We ended the party with good pizza and a amazing cake.... I would definitely recommend this place !!!!!!!! A big thanks to u guys!!!!!
Friendly and informative staff. It was great to pet the animals. That sloth Lilo is sooooo super cute! Great for young children and when they get older they can hold the animals at the camp.
Awesome is a member we have had a wonderful time super duper
Great place for kids. Very knowledgeable staff members.
A fantastic little gem. If you want to overcome your fear of snakes, tarantulas and touch them and see them in their habitat, well, this is the place to go! They organize interactive shows for kids... and adults! You learn a lot and it is a fun experience!
Great fun, lots of hands-on and consistently friendly and knowledgeable staff. We have been coming here on and off for over 15 years, I think. The exhibits change fairly frequently, so there's always something to see. Little Ray's has always done a crack job of hiring excellent staff. Everyone there is an enthusiast, and they are all helpful and friendly. There are frequent hands-on demonstrations and feeding demonstrations throughout each day, and the caretakers don't mind spending time with the visitors to make sure everyone is getting something out of their visit. There are also education programs available for kids, and I think the summer camp is still going. My understanding is that close to 90% of the animals on display are rescues, so a lot of what you will see are unwanted exotic pets. This is great because, of course, the animals are given a second chance (and a great home) and also because you never know what you might see.
My son loves it here.
Great place to bring young teens. The staff was very informative and they have shows going on during the day that are part of the walk in price.
He puts on a good front when you hire him for an event, but after hours he is very rude and will only give you the time of day when you're putting money in his pocket or trying to get in your pants. If you want to see reptiles and friendly people, I would recommend going to your local zoo.
My children had a wonderful experience at Little Ray's. They really enjoyed seeing all of the animals and getting to learn about some of the new additions to the zoo. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Great with little kids! A highly educational experience. Get the family pass - you won't regret it!!
excellent facilities. cool talk and show. good collection of animals in decent cages. great price. 2yo daughter had a blast. love all the rescued animals
A great little spot that is worth the drive from the city! The staff is knowledgable and energetic. The animal shows are well organized and informative. The animals are well cared for. My kids loved it!
Love the animals and great staff
Been many times. Always something new to learn and to see! Love this place! Continue with the great work! From Pembroke
This is a great place to visit, our little boy absolutely loved it, it's also a charitable place as they take all the reptiles people don't want, so it's not just a zoo. We were there 3 hours and saw two talks about reptiles, Inc feeding a snake and looking at other animals close up, absolutely great, well done.
Excellent presentations and clean exhibits. Staff is courteous and knowledgable. Great place for kids however the alligator exhibit needs more viewing windows. Difficult for children to see when crowded.
Great experience, especially for kids! Reptiles are well treated. There are lots of feeding and petting shows, which are a big part of the experience. The only 'downside' would be that I found the zoo to be rather small than I expected, but still a great family experience.
Little Ray's reptile zoo is a great place to learn about reptiles. The zoo has caymans, snake, and various lizards. The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals they are caring for. A lot of the animals have been rescued from people who are not prepared for the demands needed in the care of these exotic animals. In the outside part of the zoo are rabbits, turtles, 2 kangaroos and a Siberian lynx. A great place to take the kids.
Amazing! Our daughters and us as well were in awe. Got to feed the kangaroos and tortoises, and whole lot more. Highly recommend.
my daughter loved it and is now going to start volunteering there in the summer!
Good amount of creatures to see. Place is kept clean. There are also short demos and shows, the shorter length is great for younger kids that can't sit as long.
Cool place, lots of interesting animals, friendly staff. Would recommend visit if you like animals. Their kangaroos are super cute
Sam did a great job showing me the exhibits. Knowledgeable and very good at explaining facts about the critters!
My daughter and I go to Little Rays very often. She just had her birthday party there and everyone loved it! The cake that was provided in the birthday package was really cool. Even some of her squeamish friends "saw the light" and now actually appreciate reptiles and see how amazing they really are. Thanks so much for the priceless experiences. We love how passionate the whole team is about the animals and their well being
Amazing zoo of reptile rescue efforts. Learn about reptiles, which ones make good pets and why some were rescued. Even an opportunity to touch some of them.
Well, the Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. And the animals were really nice. I was expecting it to be a little bigger, but hey, its still a good place for family visits and recommended summer camps.
A good experience, with great staff. The hands on show was the best! We even got to pet a baby sloth! Really looking forward to them getting into their new location soon!
I just saw a Little Ray's Reptile Zoo demonstration/show at Elmvale Mall with my 3-year-old daughter and it was wonderful. I would call Dawson not only a reptile handler but also a very fine educator. He was terrific with the kids and showed a lot of respect and care for the many animals he presented. He was also a wellspring of information on these interesting creatures, and is clearly passionate about his work. Based on this experience, I would definitely visit their zoo and nature centre. Well done!
My family and I had a great time here today. Your staff member named Natalie was excellent. She made our visit. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the animals really shone through. We will definitely be returning.
Fun place to visit! Our granddaughters really enjoyed it!
We got to see animals get fed and we got to pet/hold multiple animals. Small zoo with a nice variety of animals. Great for kids.
Great place to spend indoors on a weekend
What a great place. They house rescued and abandoned animals (mostly reptilian) but a few others also. They seem to take really good care of the animals more so than I have seen in other small local zoo's. The shows they put on are very educational and interactive, I will go again with the kids for sure!
Visited the Little Ray's tour in Reed Deer today. Admission prices were very fair, the shows were informative and really well done. Loved the interaction with the various animals after the shows, and the exhibits were easy for everyone to see. The staff were very personable and knowledgeable, and easy to approach. Definitely worth going to for an up close, personal encounter for animals you can't see everyday. Thank you so much for such a great afternoon!!
Great place very fun
Interesting place, and super friendly people. The owner is very interested in providing financial accessibility, and the establishment is dedicated to enriching the lives of children through education about animals. Highly recommended for all ages
8 year old kept busy for almost 4 hours. Yes it's a small facility (currently) but the staff were amazing. Helpful, patient and didn't dumb things down for kids. Little guy will be going back for camp this summer after his one short visit - and auntie and grandma weren't bored either ;)
I volunteered here for a few weeks ! Friendly staff and such an awesome atmosphere !
Educational.Respectful staff. You can tell they really care about animals. A must!!!! LEE is just amazing Extremely respectful towards me and my fear of tarantulas. He is just delish !!! He is so funny and that accent. .OMG I could listen to him talk all day (wink wink) haha. Thank you to everyone over there ! I had a wonderful time !!
Educational and fun
Small facility but enough animals to see for my 3 year old. The show was very engaging and my kid loved it. Great experience!! Aim to spend 1.5-2 hrs here.
Fantastic customer service ! Would visit again :)
This place is awesome ,very educational an would recommend a visit if your tourin around the area .The staff are friendly an happy to answer questions what every it may b on the subject of their facility.
Worth the cost if you enjoy seeing wildlife. Staff was friendly and it was nice to see all the reptiles and other animals they have.
Great place for hands on
Had a great time with my 2 year old daughter. Very friendly staff!
Small size but with a lot of exhibits and animals. They have small shows at least once a hour. So if you show up you are bound to see something cool. The staff is vary helpful and knowledgeable on the animals. You could spend a hour there or more easily.
Kids loved it. Just make sure they wash their hands before they get back in the car!
I got to hold a
Meh, it's just okay. They have a few critters to see but for the price point we expected more. If you visit, make sure you view the demonstrations otherwise there is not much to see...
Looking for something out of the ordinary? Come check this place out. Lots of free parking and a great way to spend a few hours, rain or shine. Even if your not a big reptile fan, they do have other exhibits as well.
Very polite staff respectful and intelligent their was all being said about all the different types of animals a lot of stuff I was shock to hear about like the skunk how they only spray only for certain reason and they take up to so long when they can spray again very useful information I took my kids to the Cobourg community centre where they had the animals the price was good and goes to good place for animal rescue
We really enjoyed our visit.
Had a great time. Great staff and shows
Unbelievable entertainment value for the money, great staff, very passionate and informative. Took my nephew, best birthday ever.
Great place to bring kids. It is humid inside, so dress appropriately
Fun if you are a little kid. Kind of expensive but interesting. Could use a deep cleaning inside.
Tons of fun.
My 2 boys, 4 and 7 years old, love a visit to Little Ray's. Lots to learn, the demonstrations are awesome and the staff are knowledgeable.
Awesome reptile zoo with a few hands on sessions (one with a baby sloth!). Really fun for the kids.
Must see for kids and teens. Staff is amazing. Great customer service!
Awesome adventure. Got our own personal show at the end. Thanks Little Ray's
Loved it. Connor was amazing. What a great way to spend the morning. Very cool animals. My family loved it. Thanks
OMG this place is amazing! We were lucky enough to watch them feed the croc! Wow! All the animals are looked after very well and the staff is very knowledgable about all the residents in their care. Would highly recommend people going to see this totally worth the visit
Amazing place to celebrate birthdays. I recommend the night party experience. Josh was a wonderful host! Fun and educational :)
Fun experience. Got to pet and hold different reptiles. I loved to see that they have young volunteers. They're friendly, informative, and offer services in French and English.
Great place to bring kids very informative and Interactive.
Lots of fun for the kids and very educational.
