REVIEWS OF Lion Habitat Ranch inc IN Nevada

Nicole Harrer

My boyfriend and I loved this place, it was a great experience on our visit to Vegas. You can watch Ozzie the giraffe-supposedly the only giraffe in the state of Nevada-paint and pay a little extra to hand feed him. Adorable. We got to visit all the lions and watch their enrichment and a hand feeding with chili and pepper, who their trainer has been working with since they were just Cubs. Good place to bring your kids.

Judie Pokakaa

Great day out with the family. We went on world lion day. The animals seem well cared for. I will visit again. I liked that there was not just lions there.

Sarah Capo'

Beautiful Large Cats! Make sure to see Ozzie the Giraffe paint a masterpiece and the lion feeding demonstration. Small park with a huge heart. You can feel the love walking through this place. These animals are all loved and well cared for by loving caretakers and volunteers.

Megala Thula

Really cool! This is a neat spot to know about as a Vegas local as it is perfect for an activity to take visitors to. The lions are all rescues and the staff will tell you all about all of them and their history. They have a giraffe that paints and it's like twenty bucks for a ticket, it's hard to beat that.

Miss Jayne

No one should support these animals being confined in cages like this. What's wrong with humanity ? Does anyone have compassion for the way animals feel these days? This places makes me sad...

Jordan Schwartz

Bad roadside attraction with cramped cages for big cats. Do not give them your money! Much better off visiting places with large, open habitats and healthy animals.

coco brown

The staff was extremely friendly and informative. The habitat is great for young kid's.

Alva Valencia Morfin

It not all that. animal seem sad. Baby daughter didn't like that. Animal crawled at her.

Stardust Santiago

This was such an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this as a stop on any trip or if you're a local. Hidden gem in a place full of lights and distraction.

Molly Jacobs

It's nice the MGM lions have a place to retire. They also take in other animals with the limited space that they have: A painting Giraffe and some cool birds.

James Knight

I love lions

Butch bord

$25 a piece to get in but you are helping the Lions very beautiful lions but I'll show you the giraffe he was cool

Barbie Kendrick

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My hat goes off to you having to deal with people that growl and scream at the lions, antagonizing the poor things. Speaking as a parent, there were several parents that needed the "pick your switch" conversation for not teaching their children to be respectful. Not only to the animals but also to the staff whom had to keep asking them to stop their inappropriate behavior.

Indiana Batista

The staff is very knowledgeable and give you lots of history and information on the lions!

Ellen Koch

So great to see the lions! Property was super clean, volunteers were really friendly. Enjoyed feeding the giraffe (extra charge). My two year old loved it.

Dee Golightly

Much better than the old Las Vegas zoo. They have a bunch of lions, a giraffe, and a few birds. They make efforts to get the animals moving around, feeding them and having the giraffe paint. It's all pretty small, though, and it takes about an hour to see everything they have.

Sara Aguinaga

Our car club paid a visit to this little known gem March 22, 2019. Not only do they house the lions, there are exotic birds, turtles, ostriches, and the star of the show, Ozzie. Ozzie is their majestic and comical giraffe. The volunteers who take care of the animals are the best, and very informative. During your tour you can feed and pet Ozzie and he'll also show off his artistic abilities for you! They have a gift shop and picnic tables available, so plan to bring your camera and lunch and spend a leisurely afternoon.

Angela Bacon

Ask questions, the volunteers will teach you a lot about each lion.

JJackie Andes

We had a wonderful and very educational experience. Very clean and the animals were just awesome! We"ll be visiting again without a doubt.

Paul Jorgensen

Nice set up for viewing, knowledgable staff. Very informative

Susan Fryman

What a wonderful place to visit. Such a friendly staff!

Brenda Hain

A must see, lions live nice lives and the giraffe Ozzy is a hoot. Bought one of his paintings

Michelle Leverton

Great place. Grandbaby loved it and the staff was awesome. Loved the Lions roaring together and Ozzy the giraffe painting.

John May

What an amazing spot. Loved the Habitat. Is nice that there is a military discount. Staff was fantastic, knowledgeable and obviously invested in thier work. The lions were amazing. The painting giraffe was very cool. But again, the lions are definately the center attraction. The fact the are self supported nonprofits, also makes a great cause into a very pleasurable and informative stop for the whole family. Will be stopping in again for sure. Highly recommend for sure.

grrouchie serge

Amazing place with some fun shows. My toddler loves watching the lions be fed and loves feeding the giraffe.

Mark Mark

Went a few days ago... they clearly care about the animals. I was lucky to see Ozzie paint and got to feed him, too. However i went during a bad time where almost all the lions were slumbering in their boxes due to heat... the most action most of us saw was a lion pissing so we all congregated to the one lioness. The place overall is about one neighborhood block... for the price i paid i was disappointed. Would have been nice to have a discount based on time of day or something.

Adam Kelley

Fun place to go as a family. The admission cost is fairly high for what you get. Mostly lions and a giraffe. Kids enjoyed it overall since opportunities like this are rare in Las Vegas.

katarina zivkovic

These animals are not rescues. They are bred in captivity for profit. This is animal exploitation. These animals are imprisoned for entertainment. Donate the $25 cover to lion conservation instead of to money hungry people who keep wild lions in small cages where they get no mental stimulation and can't even run for exercise. They dont have trees for shade. They have nothing that resembles a natural habitat. They are in literal prison cells. They are exhibiting signs of stress and boredom. They TELL people to tease the garaff with food for pictures. Shame on these people. What an appalling place. Absolutely disgusting

andrea s

Really cool place, lots of lions and ozzie the giraffe

Ann Azfer

Very clean and animals are well looked after.

William Hargraves

Most amazing experience you can have in Vegas

kevin abrams

Friendly and knowledgeable staff help keep these rescues safe and comfortable in the sanctuary. A variety of rescues live here and provide once in a lifetime experiences. Lions, ostriches, a giraffe and a few other species make up the inhabitants. Not a lot to do here, but stopping by helps keep the animals cared for and healthy.

Gigi Y

I've been to so many zoos, and this one is definitely worth to go! You can see lions in really close distance!

Sébastien Dubois

Great place with alot of information on all of the animals in the park. It is obvious that they really take care of their residents. Lions are huge and the girafe is funny. I would recommend it for familiers, kids will just love it.

Heather Mutter

Love the giraffe experiance but unfortunately all the lions were sleeping and staying in tveir dens as it was so hot.

Cesar Castaneda

Wonderful place for the whole family. Facilities are extremely well kept and organized. The animals are in great shape and trainers seem to care a lot for them. The Lions are huge and very imponent, they all look healthy and well fed. For extra fees you can feed and interact closely with them, a little pricy but I think if you can afford it, that will make your visit unforgettable. Bring comfortable shoes and be prepared for lots of sunshine, it's all outdoors. Bring a good camera if you want to take amazing shots of this magnificent animals.

Curtis H

Small but interesting place where the old MGM lions are kept, along with some birds & one giraffe.

lisa brewer

Amazing place. The work they do is incredible

Michael Upton

There are a lot of lions and 1 cool giraffe that paints.

Mutant's Dad

Very nice little zoo. It used to be where the lions that were on display at MGM were kept before the management of MGM decided to be d-bags and remove the lion display and charge for parking. The lions' owner decided to have the facility become a zoo. The focus is still lions with a small number of other animals. This sort of limits what one can see and do there though. But the facility is nice and clean and the animals are well cared for. Great for kids.

Christopher Huddleston

Very fun place! Animals are well loved and taken care of. Ozzie the giraffe paints some masterpieces, and of you're lucky, you can hear all the lions start to roar all at once. Your chest will be vibrating it's so loud! Employees and volunteers are super informative and very helpful.

abby letellier

The facility was nice and all of the animals were so cute and sweet

Brian Preis

A simple role plays providing retirement for MGM lions.

Samantha Londo

The staff and volunteers are amazing people. Filled with knowledge about all of the animals too. Ozzie the giraffe was awesome, my 3 year old got to feed him! This place is small, but amazing. Highly recommend you come here if you come to Vegas!

Sarah Smith

Volunteers and staff were super friendly and knowledgeable! You can tell the animals are well cared for! Feeding the lions and painting with Ozzie are things I will never forget! Definitely well worth it!!

Adam Barbee

Loved it, because of Ozzie The Giraffe. The lions were sleepy, because of the heat. #ozziethegiraffe

Janay Richardson

More up close and personal then a regular zoo. The giraffe is the star though. We go a couple times a month.

Kurstin Mantia

It was pretty good. A bit pricey considering it's small size and limited events, but all the money goes towards the animals. All of the animals looked very well cared for and the attendants were very friendly and informative. Feeding the giraffe is a great experience as well as watching the lions eat so I think it's worth the visit.

bobmidwest1

Great place to view the Lions from the former MGM awesome volunteer Olivia, made us feel very welcome had a great time!

Devon Alcala

Great place for kids

Kristine Brundage

Great experience, informative staff and volunteers! Loved Ozzie the giraffe's painting demo!

Nathan kernaghan

Amazing getting to feed a giraffe and watch them feed the lions

Tifftravelstheworld

Highly recommend! $20 for locals. Great volunteers. Cute cats and giraffe. Ostriches are alright too. Turtles and quail too!

Annalise Tingler

Enjoyed our visit to this little gem! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. It was really nice to get to see these amazing animals close up. The animals were all very happy and the place was very clean. Well worth the visit.

Marti Duhon

Great experience for all of us!

Jonathan Luzi

We easily spent over an hour at this place. Had fun learning and feeding the animals. Ozzie the Giraffe was my son's favorite lol.

Dianna Kelly

This is Las Vegas’s best kept secret!! My trip to the ranch amazing. There is so many beautiful lions, exotic birds and many other animals to see such as a giraffe. Check it out, you will be happy you did.

Katie

I got to meet Joe, the trainer who basically saved his coworker in 2008 when one of the Male lions got.... grumpy? Speaking with him was a wonderful learning experience, except it was too short because I arrived late. Even tho I was still wandering and trying to find the exit after 2, I rounded a corner and notice 2 of the employees hand feeding the Male lions. Even tho it was in fact after closing, they said I could observe. As two of the lions were being fed, another got agitated and turned toward them...leaving me behind him. Guess who got sprayed? And I'm not even mad. These lions are incredible and their humans are wonderful. I want to go back so much!

Leah Mead

Amazing place! The animals are very well cared for and you can tell that they are happy!

Crystal Thomas

Horrible small areas for the animals and the giraffe is so lonely! They care more about money than loving these lions!

Elisha Marie

This is a great place to visit all of the retired lions from MGM corporation are here!!!! These lions are beautiful and amazing to look at!! They also have some bird species they've rescued and a giraffe named Ozzie that paints!! GO VISIT THIS PLACE!! There is also a retired trainer that helped train the MGM lions that works here and he has so much info to tell you he was great!! ( if you do go there Maps is wrong there's construction on that street Bruner so you have to go down to Bermuda down to Bruner and the lion habitat Ranch is there ) ;)

Darylisha Berrymon

Our tour guide Mellie was AMAZING! She really knows her stuff about the animals. They seem to be really lived and cared for.

Christopher G

Great place to take kids, you'll definitely see lions.

Joshua Kolbe

My son loved the lions and interacting with the giraffe.

Lynette Agahan

We had a blast! Ozzie

Elvira Martinez Lopez

I wish these Lions had more room but it's beautiful

Rick Hagar

It's a great place in Las Vegas where you can get up close and personal with a number of lions, exotic birds and even a giraffe that paints. Great if you want to kill a couple of hours!

DoxtorWho

Great place to go to see some lions in the desert! The staff here are knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell they really do care for the animals here and have a bond with them. The animals look very well maintained and do not look remotely starved. They even have a giraffe Ozzie that is still growing! Pay $10 cash or $20 on card to hand feed him as well!

W.E. Strong

The staff was friendly and helpful. Once in a lifetime opportunity to feed lions & Ozzie the giraffe. We were so impressed by our experience that we decided to paint with Ozzie the giraffe.

Rene Allison

Super helpful staff and great close ups of the animals. Plus bottled cold water for just $1.

TNL

We absolutely loved this lion habitat. The lions are well taken care of. We saw the giraffe paint a pic. Def worth the small amt you pay for all you get to see.

Lauren McKinney

A fun way to spend the afternoon! Come early in the morning to beat the heat and watch the feedings and live painting show with the giraffe. Staff is really friendly and went out of their way to share lots of information about each cat to us. The price is a little more than I expected for what the attraction had to offer, but they say the cost goes back into feeding the animals.

skriko bill

Fricken loved it .good people and all the animals were vibrant and well..great job being done here

the coyote pack

It was relly good

Richard McQuatters

Very nice establishment. Cages were clean. The staff and volunteers were extremely nice to everyone. They let my girlfriend and another little kid feed the giraffe and take all kinds of pictures. Was an awesome experience.

James Newman

This place it great! It is very small but fun to see the lions and the giraffe. Best to go when there are not too many people. Keep an eye on their hours, they change them depending on the season.

Johnny Stephenson

Was a fun experience and didnt cost a lot

Vernessa Altman

Love all of the animals. The staff were kind and caring.

Junior Oconnell

The ranch was well organized, appropriately priced and soooo educational! Thank you for taking such good care of the beautiful lions and Ozzie the giraffe. The volunteers were all so helpful and open to answer our many questions. Superb ! Loved when the lions were talking to each other. Bentley, Benny, Golden Girls, and Cheeto were some of favorites!

Karla Moriel Abduljabbar

There is so much to learn about lions, you can see them up close and learn all about them. There was also a giraffe experience and we got to see the giraffe create a painting. The staff really cares for the animals.

Danielle Winskowski

We had so much fun here! The animals are beautiful and very well cared for. The workers are super great with the kids. We learned a lot and really enjoyed ourselves!

J Buchbaum

Great work and very helpful and informative keepers. We went there on our POGO pass. The lions are beautiful and the keepers are more than willing to talk and educate you about the animals. One of the keepers was feeding Bentley (a 13 year old Barbary Lion) and fed him in such a way that we were able to get some beautiful photographs. The Guinea fowl were very pretty and the highlight was the giraffe. Compared to the animal preserve we had been to in Camp Verde, Arizona, it was very small, but just as impressive, for the work they do. The gift shop was small, but nice as well. We bought a few things, knowing it all goes to support the conservation work. We plan on going back in a week or two, just because.

Hannah Hensley

What a fantastic experience! Watched a trainer interact with a lioness, and watched a giraffe paint. Fascinating birds as well!

Clint Breasure

Great place. Clean. Informative and two feet from the Lions.

May May Crafts wenk

I had the opportunity to visit the Ranch last week. The animals are well cared for and there are volunteers that can answer any question you might have about anyone of the animals. My greatest joy was meeting Ozzie, the giraffe.. Ozzie is still a youngster and loves to entertain. Ozzie paints, and for a extra fee you can feed Ozzie lettuce..Very gentle..

Kim McIntosh

36 beautiful lions great trainers! Giraffe, ostrich and emu. Loved it!!!

Jazine Joyce

This was something we stumbled upon and I'm so glad we stopped in! The staff was informed and friendly. It's a small facility so you won't spent the whole day there. 2 hours was good for me. 1 giraffe, 2 tortoise, 3 adult ostriches (and a baby!). All the rest were lions and lionesses. Stunning animals!

Catrina Haith

It would be awesome if, it had more things to do.

J Kerezman

Excellent experience. Can't wait to go again!

David Rubel

Fun place to visit. Ex-MGM Grand lions and other animals

Giovanna Santoyo

For the person that says no animal deserves to be confined, that is true but is it better to have them dead in their habitats and be killed by poachers, there have even been incidents of lions being killed by poachers in sanctuaries. Educate yourself before making a conclusion. They are safer in places that are sanctuaries for them than the wild, and that is humans fault, now that is sad.

Eric Wilson

The staff is very dedicated to the care of these animals and interact well with guest. We will be back many times.

Alli Carmichael

My family and I loved our visit to the Lion Habitat Ranch. We were introduced to a handful of lions, birds and our personal favorite Ozzy. We feed Jesse, watched Ozzy paint, visited the gift shop and loved the staff. We'll visit again once it's warmer.

Samantha Dollens

You can hand feed a giraffe here! Also the giraffe paints on a canvas and you can buy the pictures. As you walk around there are tons of lions just a few feet away both males and females. The workers are all very nice and answered all our questions. Theres also an enclosed glass area where you can sit down and it feels like you're inside the cage. Love it will definitely go back.

Kris

We visited as volunteers. We get to clean the habitat and help feed the lions. The staff is very knowledgeable and passionately dedicated to the animals. We get to tour the back and front of the house. It was a very productive and educational morning.

ATM LV

They have a Giraffe, the only Giraffe in Vegas... They have about 30 Lions, a couple Emu's and Ostriches, and a few exotic birds... The Giraffe is a painting artist!!! Children can get hands on activities ( feeding ). They hsve a small gift shop... Great place to take the children for the day.

Jesse Floirendo

Fun place. See all the lions and watch Ozzie the Giraffe paint and buy the artwork to support the habitat

Logan Krohn

This is an amazing place! And very kid friendly!! Worth the money.

Gregory Dark

This facility is much smaller than a zoo and feels more private. You likely won't spend all day here, but makes for a nice short trip. Feed a giraffe, take photos & get up close to the lions. You can also feed the lions for a fee. There is a small gift shop near the middle of the grounds.

bryan armstrong

This place is awesome. The lions are super cool, and Ozzy the giraffe is amazing. A great place to spend some time and help support a local nonprofit organization

Christopher Defayette

It a great place to spend some time with the big cats. Very educational and the staff is super friendly. If you want to get away from the strip and all the noise go check this place out.

Jim Ginny

Great for those who love lions!

Veronica Capiak

What an incredible experience. We signed up for the behind the scenes tour as well as lion feeding and custom giraffe painting. It was great being able to come in before the park opened and have the entire park to ourselves and the trainer. The trainer/guide has worked with the lions since they were at MGM Grand. He knew every lion, has helped raise them and has an obvious love for them. All of the staff were great and you could feel the love the staff and volunteers had for the animals. The entire place was spotlessly clean. There wasn't even an poop in the enclosures. The lions had obvious affection for the trainer. It was just an awesome day. I highly encourage you to do the behind the scenes tour. Our tour went from about 9:30-11:30. When our tour ended the park was open to the public and there were a ton of people coming in but it didn't look like the got the one on one treatment we got where we got to meet each and every lion individually. Oh, and Ozzie the Giraffe was so sweet and I love my new painting :)

Britt Senecal

Love doing the tour and seeing the animals

P Brown

#letsguide This was the best experience. My grandchildren got so much joy learning about the lions and seeing the baby emu. Of course feeding Ozzie the giraffe and watching him paint was pure #joy

Denise Norman

Great visit and very accommodating staff. Highly recommend!!

Nancy Summers

This was such a fun experience! The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable about their animals. You could tell that they really cared about them and I love that. Ozzie the painting giraffe made me so happy!

Tina Hoefert

Great place to take the family. We loved watching the painting giraffe and watching the lions feed. They had a baby ostrich that was so super cute as well.

Shelli Lange

Wonderful! wonderful! wonderful! We went for my bday so that I could feed and pet Ozzie! I've never been so close to a giraffe. Absolutely loved it. The habitats and grounds are very well maintained. Definitely going back

Shannon Loeser

Super cool experience watching Ozzie paint

Bella Colibri

Awesome place! Took my kids here all under age 8. They loved it. We loved walking around reading each lion's name and watching them . And it's so neat to hear them roar and make their noises because your so close and can just really feel in the zone. When we went there, there was a baby giraffe and it was so cute, it painted a picture. You can take pictures with the "little guy" with a small price. The place is pretty small but it is a great place to visit and walk around to see all the lions they have. Really enjoyed it and will go again. The kids loved it. They are beautiful creatures.

Skyler Trujillo

I took my family to see what this place is all about. The ranch has many enclosures with all the different lions. It was great to see their efforts to keep these animals alive and to save the respective species. You can get very close to the lions and it’s amazing to experience. They also had knowledgeable staff who were always accessible to answer questions about each of the lions, their backstories, and how they are working to conserve them. They also had a fun encounter with the resident giraffe where you could watch him paint, learn about him (and giraffes in general) and even feed them if you choose.

Mark Y

A retirement home for lions, where they can live a comfortable life in their dotage. They also have cubs, ostriches, and a new baby giraffe to keep everyone entertained. Affordable unless you want to interact with the animals, but even then the prices are in line with most zoos. The owners are wonderful people who truly care about the the animals and the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. It's a regular stop for us whenever we're in Vegas.

Georgia Minx

Amazing Little Adventure with the former MGM lions and friends. It was a very hot day but we had an amazing time. As we walked in, we were greeted by Emu's and Ostriches. The Ostrich pen had some eggs laying about and that is when we noticed the wee baby Ostrich running around. It was the cutest thing and we stayed there until I realized I was getting the stink eye from momma ostrich. Next we had lions. Most of the Lions were resting in the heat though we did happen to get to interact with one on the photo truck. For another $10 we were also able to feed the Giraffe and watch her paint. All of the volunteers and staff were knowledgeable about the cats and very helpful. All in all, a great little adventure.

danielle yorker

I enjoyed my day here you can the staff really loves the animals. Seeing all the Lions and learning about them was so cool and also freezing the giraffe was fun

Shannon Moreno

Amazing facility doing great things to protect endangered animals!❤

elora parija

small place with lot of lions ..30 min is enough to look around this place.

Notgoing ToTell

I had so much fun at the lion habitat ranch. You get super close to the lions and it's really nice cute little place to go at the family.

Ototoxic

This place is great. They clearly care about these animals. It's very clean and looks like they keep everything safe for their animals as well as their guests. They are very educated on their animals and will not hesitate to share that knowledge to anyone who's willing to listen.

Jason Kidman

Ozzy the giraffe is so cool and the family loved watching him paint. The lions are amazing creatures. One wish is that we were hoping for some baby cubs that could be petted but there's not any. Regardless this place was alot of fun a bit pricey but also understand it costs alot to keep a non profit like this operational. Hands down a site to see.

Kevin Schmidt

Went for World Lion Day. The habitat is well staffed with volunteers and employees ready to answer questions about the animals. Would recommend for a good way to spend some time in Vegas doing something unique and educational.

drkk

NOT WHAT IT SEEMS, MISLEADING I went to the Lion Habitat Ranch today with my family. My purpose of this review is not to try to convince others not to go. I simply want to share my experience and share information so others can decide for themselves; because after going on the website I feel people are misinformed as to what this place is. 1. None of the Lions are rescued. I incorrectly assumed that these lions might be rescued or retired from shows in Las Vegas or even for illegal exotic animal trading. Nearly all are bred on site solely for display purposes. 2. The lions are kept in small square chainlink fenced enclosures. There is basically nothing in the cage except dirt on the floor and a wood box for the lion to sit on. There appears to be no stimulation or engaging activities for the lions. It's really hard to imagine it spending its entire life like that. Some lions are alone, others are paired. The giraffe enclosure appeared to be a corrugated tall metal shed. 3. The term Habitat Ranch is completely misleading. There is no habitat and no ranch. It is literally off the 15 freeway in a concreted area next to some track homes. Quite bizarre and quite sad at the same time. 4. Non-profit is also misleading as it implies some kind of mission to help these animals. This place is basically a very poor zoo akin to what you would see in third world countries keeping lions in cages. 5. The people that work there are genuinely friendly, and the lions appear well fed. In short I left feeling extremely sad for these animals and perplexed as to how it received so many positive reviews.

Monica Munster

It's a very small park with a lot of lions - pretty self-explanatory. Entry fee for local adults is 20$ and you have to sign a waiver before you come in. Might seem steep for a small park but it's nice and supports a good cause. All the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. The lions are gorgeous and enormous and quite literally a few feet away. There's also an adorable painting giraffe, several birds including giant ones like ostriches and emus. The only downside, which is not the parks fault, is that during summer every lion was pretty much checked out. It's 109 in Las Vegas today and was 114 earlier this week. Probably not great for the animals - even ones that typically live in this kind of heat in nature. There are some mist-makers here and there, and a small outdoor ac room. My only gripe/recommendation would be to change that outdoor room so that it is somewhat enclosed in summer, because the ac was running hard but you could barely feel it. And maybe more mist makers too - but maybe that's to come in the future. A mostly very nice experience and I'll be back.

Essence Plummer-Crittenden

I love it! Great for the whole family!

Jane Williams

Love the up close experience, be careful though if a lion turns it's back and lifts its tail...you will get sprayed.

Kris dJ

This park hosts the remaining Barbary Lions in existence. Beautiful animals. Too bad they're extinct in the wild. A great place to spend an afternoon with the kids or a few hours volunteering. This place needs the public support because - what would happen to these lions if this place shuts down? It would be extremely difficult to re-introduce these lions in the wild. I think there's only 35 of them. They're all domesticated.

Bio Haz Response

Love this place got to see more then just lions. Recommended you go at least once

Laylah Gharib

The staff and volunteers are amazing people. Filled with knowledge about all of the animals too. Ozziy the girafe was great, my 9 year old got to feed him! This place is small, but amazing. Highly recommend you come here if you come to Vegas! must visit

Patti Stewart

The MGM lions are still in Vegas! Who knew. Awesome place. Staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. Will take kids back.

Marisa Jimenez

Best hidden gem outside of Vegas. Came from Los Angeles to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday and this was a perfect family outing for my whole family to spend time together. Will definitely come back soon to feed ozzie.

King Kody

Kids & I loved this place!! Got to feed Giraffe & see animals up close!! Everyone was very friendly!!!

Adrian Lomax

This was an amazing gem hidden outside of Las Vegas Strip. It features a nice and cozy "retirement area" as the senior handler called it for the animals. There are few attractions such as Lions, Emus, and Giraffe but on our not so busy day, we were surprised with photos and special tricks performed by the animals. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves and if I could rate higher I would.

Donna Bien

My husband and I were HIGHLY recommended by our daughter to go. My husband didn't really want to go but I did and he absolutely and positively loved it. He said that it was one of the best things we did on our vacation. I would rate it on a scale of 1-10 a 20. Keep up the GREAT work you do. The girls that were with the lioness' and the lions were very interesting to listen to.

Amanda Parmley

Wish they had people walking around to help control traffic.. other than that I loved the lions and Ozzy!!

Naz jawwad

It is good place to visit and see the lions, parrots and some other birds and the one and only giraffe of Nevada "Ozzie". They have specific events on a daily basis where they feed the Lions and Ozzie "The Giraffe". You can also feed him and can buy a ticket for that on the spot. I really loved that part and enjoyed feeding him. They also do a seesion with "Ozzie" where he does the painting. The entry ticket is $25, I purchase from Viator with a discount so it cost me $22.76 each.

Sudheendra Bhat

25+ lions, exotic birds, giraffe all well taken care of. Decent 1hr worth of attraction. Kind of pricey 30$ but all for good cause, so no complaints.

Devin Brennan

Wonderful habit for the lions. Great customer service. The giraffe paints and you can buy some art from the giraffe at the gift shop. Some of the lions are from MGM. Nice place to go. Would definitely recommend this place.

Danni Ackerman

Such a fantastic experience! We love the stories behind each lion there.

Anna Tsai

Makes for a fun family outing just outside the city. Plenty of lions to see. You can even feed the lion for $100. They also have a giraffe, ostriches, and various birds. The ranch is fairly small, probably only takes 30-45min to see the whole thing.

What a great place to learn about the lions and giraffe. It's really clean and the staff is great. Just make sure if ya see the males backing up that means they're going to spray. So make sure you step left/right not back. Signs are posted but saw a group get sprayed a bit.

It is expensive to get in ($25 a person), but the habitat is pretty cool. They have 36 lions, most of which are descendants of the original MGM lion. They said that species of lion is now extinct in it's natural habitat. The volunteers there are knowledgeable, and love what they do. They also have a giraffe that paints, as well as tortoises and several species of birds (such as emus and cockatoos).

The staff here are great, and the lions seem really happy, well worth putting up with the midday heat to see!

Amazing! Every one that works there was great. Bring the kids. What a wonderful learning experience for a good cause..

Suzette Sanz

Really enjoyed the habitat, beautiful animals, the kids had a blast!

This place was pretty small but I would feel wrong giving an animal rescue less than five stars. The animal seem very well taken care of with space to run around. I'll see you at the giraffe was cool to see and they had a lot of lions.

Kayla Spence

It was an incredible experience and the complex was very clean. The volunteers and staff were friendly and happy to share the lions stories. All proceeds went to the animals. Loved it and it is perfect for any family.

The Lion Habitat is a great place to go for an hour in Las Vegas. This was simply the best place I have ever visited to see Lions this close (RIP MGM Lion exhibit). The animals are well taken for and the trainers are very knowledgeable. You can feed the giraffe for $10. My five year old enjoyed it! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you can see everything in under an hour.

Enforcer Torres

Great experience for the family and ozzie is so cute and funny.

Bryce Bertola

Great daytime activity if you're looking for something off strip. The lion habitats were informative and hand feeding the giraffe was an awesome experience! Definitely worth the slight detour.

Tracy Bass

A getaway place for kids that is not on the strip

Jasmine Biggers

Very cool! All the animals are interactive all day long!

Found out about this place by accident, read up about them from their website and saw they were a rescue and decided to head out to see them as our plans had fallen through. I read some reviews and it sounded amazing. I have to say, I am a puzzled by all the raving reviews. All these magestic animals are housed in small, barren cages with dirt floors. No trees, grass, ponds...nothing even trying to pretend to be a natural environment. I was heartbroken to find out that they are STILL BREEDING these lions...a reputable rescue would NEVER breed. What I realized is this place is a group of people who used to exploit these animals at MGM, but they did away with the lion exhibit, so they moved them out of town and continue to exploit them as a "rescue." They just found a different way to profit. If they really cared about these animals they would move them to a proper sanctuary with land where they can feel like lions, not caged animals being stared at by people. I saw lions pacing back and forth, growling, and one male that sprayed the guests that were looking at him. I didn't blame him. They also have one giraffe all by himself which is NOT how giraffes live at all, absolutely broke my heart. For $10 you could feed him lettuce leaves and they told the people to hold onto the lettuce and not let him have it so they could pet him longer...so tease the lone giraffe with food for your personal enjoyment. Mixed in between the lions cages are different parrots, all living alone and all showing signs of stress and boredom, no enrichment in their cages and no cagemates. So sad. There were a couple tortoises in a tiny run, a couple of emus and ostriches that to feed you had to throw the food over the fence to them. I don't know how all these reviewers can look at the magestic animals in these small cages and rave about how clean they are? Looked like a prison, which it is. They act like they have the well being of the lions at heart by supporting other charities but if they really cared they would STOP EXPLOITING AND BREEDING these animals, find a reputable job and let these poor beasts live out the rest of their lives in a real sanctuary with acres of land, trees, streams and room to roam. You should be ashamed of yourselves continuing to profit from their suffering. This is not a rescue. This is a prison.

Love this place...giraffee actually paints
