Had a great time taking the kids to the zoo. It's nice to have a zoo in Montana. We lack so many things like this so not having to go out of state to see a tiger is pretty awesome. The presentation going on while we were there was very informative and engaging for the kids.

We had a wonderful time! I don't understand the negative reviews. I've been to many of the large animal habitats across the country and I found Zoo Montana to be thoroughly enjoyable. Almost all of the animals were out and my daughter got to howl with the wolf pack as well as see a bear, a tiger, bison and a very playful river otter. It was the perfect morning outing.

Nice clean zoo. Animals are kept in nice, clean enclosures. Layout is easy to walk and they have 2 play areas for the kiddos to play in as well.

Been here many times but not in the last two years. Great improvements since then. Animals is a much happier space and as a bonus the newer enclosures have even better sight lines than before. Go first thing in the morning. Pretty much everyone was out and active, including the pair of wolverines who were completely kinetic play fighting.

So cool to see all the people here for events like the Renaissance festival. The zoo looks better every time I visit. And I got to see the wolverines this time and the red pandas are adorable.

Very fun for afternoon. They have really done a lot of work since I was there several years ago. The bison exhibit was really great and all the animals were out. Saw a sign for beaver but did not find them, wish the pond was full for the otters but still great after noon with my kid.

Lovely place. Zoo is not the best description for this place — it's more of a wonderful botanical garden that also has wildlife home nestled in. Lots of lovely walking, and interesting animals that appear well-cared-for. Very, very pretty grounds.

As a concert venue the Zoo was great. Good sound, plenty of room on the grass, a pavilion and food trucks. I'll definitely be going again. Downside is trying to leave the parking lot after the concert, everything bottlenecks down to one exit. Get dropped off there and grab a ride home afterwards from across the highway, you'll save time and frustration.

We've got this zoo in a town of 120,000. How could you possibly complain? This may be the only opportunity to see a Siberian tiger and not get stuck in traffic to get there.

It is a small zoo but I seriously love how more of the natural environment the animals habitats are from others that I have seen. This is the only place vs Minot & Bismark where I can see the Red Pandas. Love the garden area as well. Great photo opportunities.

Members only night was not crowded for princess day and the was really nice. My only complaint would be that their were only 4 princesses. 2 years ago when we went their were quite a few more princesses. But overall our girls had a good time.

Lots of shade and benches exactly when i needed them to help me enjoy the whole park without suffering too much from asthma. The animals all really seemed to enjoy being around people too... I love going to zoos and I was surprised to see so many up front and really close. In large exhibits I usually rarely find camouflaged animals sleeping behind rocks or trees or they prefer being behind the scenes where they recieve their food... that was not the case here. One of the Bison moved closer when it heard children coming. The Tiger even got up and did a couple walkbys by the glass panel. Definitely one of my most memorable visits to any zoo.

A cute little zoo. This isn't a bad way to see Rocky Mountain-native animals. They don't have many animals you might expect to find at a zoo (zebras, elephants, etc.) because those animals wouldn't be happy living in Montana, which I think is nice. Don't expect to spend all day here; we sauntered all the way through in 2 hours.

Beautiful grounds to walk, but unfortunately I pay to see animals with my nephew and all of them are hiding from the heat or sleeping. We saw about 2 animals, not including the owl who had nowhere to hide. The highlight of our trip was seeing shaved llamas.

Great zoo! Some really cool animals here. Even has some playgrounds for your kids to run off some energy! Definitely recommend a stroller for the little ones because it's a lot of walking in between the animals! Some of the animals were hit and miss because the exhibits were so big that the animal was often in the very back and you couldnt see them.

Overall a nice zoo. Some of the habitats seemed small for the species of animal it contained. Like the Bobcat enclosure. The Tiger enclosure had no water in the bathing area. As did many of the areas that were supposed to have water, The sensory garden, the duck pond.... If others looking to find something to do in Billings are reading this please reach out and donate some time and money to this Gem in Billings.
