Here you have the opinions of real people who purchased the products of Endangered Wolf Center (Zoo) around Missouri area.
Right now the firm has a rating of 4.8 stars over 5 and that score is based on 254 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is practically the best one, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can conclude that the evaluation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Wildlife park.
Our host guide was very knowledgeable and interesting however there were quite a few kids in the 5 yr old range and they lost interest pretty quick and just wanted to view the wolves and fox. She did hold the interest of the older kids, however, along with us adults!
Yes! Great place to go I highly recommend it to people who live in St. Louis.
Awesome place to bring groups of kids
The work these people do is amazing! It is good to know people are trying to keep animals alive as opposed to just hunting and killing for trophies! It was a learning experience that I truly enjoyed. This is my second visit. I learn something new every time and enjoy the stories that come with every visit.
Way cool. You will be amazed at the differences between these wolves compared to what you think they look like. Very educational.
Awesome knowing people really care.
Kinda sad. But have neat animals. One wolfs pen was nasty and had very very poor water quality for the animals.
Staff members were welcoming and friendly. Very knowledgeable and clearly care about the animals a lot.
Great experience, nice tour, great time to save the animals
Excellent place!!!
Very informative and friendly, caring staff. Thanks for working so hard to save these beautiful animals. Got to see several wolves and was lucky enough to see one bark. A great afternoon trip.
The EWC is open to the public by reservation only and great place to spend a couple of hours. Here you will see and learn how this local center has been helping with the rewilding of wolves around the world aince the late 1960's from the their experienced and passionate caretakers. Afterwards, swing by Sugarfire off 141 for delicious BBQ or if you still have energy to burn stop into the World Bird Sanctuary for a hike through their birds of prey. Bother the EWC and the WBS are unique to St Louis and a must see if you live here or are passing through.
We had a great time. Hopefully all goes well with the new pups that will be arriving soon. Would recommend for family's.
very informative, of the beaten path, ding great things, beautiful animals, great tour
When hiking here it was awesome.
Very informative, passionate staff, loved it.
I love wolves.
This place is very well-run. They have two species of wolves as well as African wild dogs in very large enclosures. Many of these wolves will hopefully be released back into the wild. You can visit them on by guided tours which can be reserved online. Tours last about 45 minutes.
Took my son here for his birthday to coincide with his wolf fascination, and he certainly wasn't disappointed. The welcome/retail center is in an old WWII ammo bunker, and is a very interesting, well utilized space! I don't think a better tour guide than Matt exists, he's truly passionate about keystone predators and ensuring their survival for years to come. We were able to see a maned wolf on a leash, which was quite the sight to see... a wolf on a leash taking treats from a human. It was one of the ambassador animals that is taken out to highlight their conservation efforts. The enclosures are set up so that the animals are visible to visitors, so there's no disappointment in being unable to see them during the tour, as sometimes happens at the zoo. Matt had the patience of a saint with questions ranging from those regarding the various wolves to Fortnite, answering each honestly and sincerely.
We would love to go back in the Winter! Matt Fox was an awesome tour guide! He made our experience so much better!
It was such a great day for everyone. I was a vendor there and the sales were great. The music, the food just everything was great.
Wonderful place to bring the kids. Big fun out there
I Have not been yet but I wish there was some way to adopt a wolf but I don't have a permit and not much experience with wolves or a good place for it to stay at the time hey but a boy can wish
The wolves are in very small enclosures with two fences separating you from them. I had expected them to be in more open areas. They said we might need binoculars so we had figured we would be viewing from a higher point in their larger spaces. It was very disappointing. Happy that the proceeds went to the refuge, but you'd be better off going to the zoo (for free).
Once in a lifetime opportunity very educational and friendly staff. We will be back!
Family friendly and very good information on wolves.
Really cool to see the wolves and hear about the programs to release some back into the wild, I recommend comfy walking shoes
Wonderful and knowledgable staff. Definitely going back.
Very cool. Got to see 23 baby wolves!
This is the best place ever if you are an animals lover and advocate of endagered species! The children would really enjoy it as it is also educational and fun.
Greatest visit!!!!!!!
I love anything animals and anywhere that is helping them..it was amazing to actually see them in their habitats and even got to see 13 pups all playing together and bheard what they sound like...loved it so much
We took out girl scout troop here to earn a badge and they did not disappoint. The volunteer guide walked us around, showed us the animals, and was very knowledgable about everything. He also didn't mind the 200 questions that our girl peppered him with the whole time we were there. They did a great job.
It was a fun educational trip, and I learned so much about wolves.
We visited the Endangered Wolf Center during our vacation in St Louis. It was a great place to visit for a wolf and animal lover. We enjoyed the tour, animals, gift shop, and facts we learned! Neat place!
Wonderful staff, and an amazing experience
Good place to check out and learn about wolves and a little Missouri history. The classroom could have been cut a little shorter imo but it is geared more towards children. Wolves and painted dogs are interesting to see. We did an enrichment activity which wasn't super exciting but it was interesting and you get to talk to the trainers who work with them on a daily basis and ask questions.
We went out for a Wolf howl where we heard the roar bark of the Maned Wolf, listened to stories about the different wolves and the wonderful work they do at the center while sitting around a campfire enjoying hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows!
There is something magical about sharing space with these amazing wolves, foxes, and my favorite African Painted Dogs.
I went there with my husband and we had a blast! It's very educational, great for kids and adults alike. It also involves a 1 mile walk which was a nice pace for us. The animals looked well cared for - I recommend!
Wonderful place.
Really fun!
Such a fun tour. Kids and adults love it.
First time visiting last Saturday. Tour guide was Isabelle. Very good
Awesome
We love this place. Being a member is awesome!!!
Awesome and informative guides excellent experience phenomenal program
Really awesome place can't wait to go back every member of staff was awesome and it was a great experience
They do amazing things. Great summer camps and education out-reach. Call ahead to visit, especially for a night howl.
They are doing a great job helping to save these beautiful animals! The staff is wonderful!
So! Much! Fun! We did a wolf howl. And man was it cool. Bon fire then when it started to get dark we went out down the road. The wolves started going nuts right off the bat! Very fun! We will be going back!
An excellent learning opportunity for all ages
Amazing place, doing some incredible work to support and rehabilitate important endangered species.
Wonderful place! Doing great work!
This place is amazing, definitely recommend it. I had no idea this was in the area before going here for a yoga event.
We at Joe's Affordable Tree Service love working at the Center. When they need trees removed or trimmed in and around the habitats, it's always a learning experience. We're lucky enough to get up and personal with some of the animals while we're there. We love the Endangered Wolf Center!
Neat place lived in STL my whole life (39yrs) and never knew this was out there. I would go back in spring to see the new pups.
Very educational. I learned a lot and enjoyed the tour.
Went out for National Trail Day. Lots of fun. Went on a hike up to the cave. It was very beautiful but pretty steep trail. They served lunch after and brought a red fox out for us to meet. Would definitely visit again!
We went to a Campfire Wolf Howl. It was somewhat informative, but I think a little more depth on what they do and why they do it and what you could do to help would be nice. I had the impression that we would come back to the campfire after the howl for hot cocoa and s'mores, but not sure if it was too cold or the norm, but we ended up going back to a building and having hot cocoa, coffee, and girl scout cookies. It kind of took away the outdoorsy theme I had envisioned. The wolves will howl back 9 out of 10 times you go, but we ended up there on the 1 in 10 chance and they didn't howl. A little bit of a let down, but what do you do. We plan on going back and taking our 3 year old to one of the day tours.
My wife and I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. We will definitely be back.
Knowledgeable and friendly folks here, really fun visit, my daughter (and the whole family) loved it.
Great experience, well worth the price, great tour guide
So beautiful and amazing
We scheduled a personal tour of the different canines they are helping. Very interesting stories from the guide too. It was an easy hike in the woods. Great for those who like animals, esp dogs, and nature.
It was such an amazing experience! I definitely learned more about these amazing canines here than at some zoo! Our tour guide was also very nice and informative.
This place was so awesome and has amazing history. What they do there is great. I have lived my whole life in St.louis and have never been here. Whether you live here of visiting this is a must! You must make a reservations but it is definitely worth it. They also do kids birthday parties that are great!
I
Well, call ahead or get there early because to participate in the demos and classes you must be pre-registered. ( A lesson we learned : ). They still let us in so we could visit the gift shop, which is also a classroom, both of which are very cool. Thank you for that EWC! I gave five stars because of what these wonderful people do for these beautiful creatures. Thank you!
Fantastic! This place and the people here are saving several species of wolves from extinction. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to actually see many, but we got lucky and they were all out and active. Even got to see the cute little fennec fox that's living there!
Interesting and informative. The animals, mostly wolves, are rescued from other countries as well as the States. I was fascinated by the Painted Wolves that were rescued from Africa.
interesting but hard to take photos all the animals are behind 2 fences which blurs the photos
My family and I love to visit every year to see all the beautiful critters they're helping.
Had a great time. Our guide did a great job
A must-see in STL!!
Great conservation efforts. Employees and volunteer staff are wonderful and provide great education on the center's successes and efforts.
Fabulous!! They are doing great work there
This is worth the visit. I loved learniing about the different species of wolves and what is being done to preserve the line of wild wolves.
Really liked how informative that it was and were will have to try one of the weekend howls.
Was very hot. Not much to see. Staff very knowledgeable.
Daughter did a camp this summer and loved it!!
Family friendly and the employees are nice and knowledgeable. Once you get off the highway its NOT easily seen from the exit and easy to get lost the first time because there are is no signs to direct you.
What a wonderful place the staff their do so much for the endangered wolves very open spaces and family oriented gift shop and have a tour guide and just a great organization
A wonderful institution helping to breed and rehabilitate endangered species of wolves!
Cool place!
This place is very cool.
Amazing facility!
Loved it. Great time with family
I woild have liked to get closer to the animals, however I understand why we can't. The staff are incredible and knowledgeable. They have a wide array of different species of wolves, fox, and coyote. This is really a fun place to see these beautiful animals! There is a lot of walking and some gravel roads.
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G place to take your kids
Very educational and so neat to see the endangered wolves!
Great tour guide, good program protecting the species.
I love to see the wolves, the volunteers are knowledgable, always fun
They have a unique conservation program as well as excellent education events. The animals are well cared for, the staff is very knowledgeable about the animals, and it is clear that everyone who works there is passionate about saving these animals.
An excellent place that is doing excellent things. My visit was beyond my expectations. The tour was well-led and there was a lot of information to be learned. Extremely proud to be a member and to have adopted a member of this amazing organization. Highly recommend going on the tour. If you can, ask for Nick! The 9am and the 3pm tours are the ones with the most activity from the animals. Hidden gem of Saint Louis! Will be back again this fall !
I liked to see the wolves and learn but I didn't enjoy seeing how small their area is.
Love working as a volunteer here for the beautiful animals I love
Awesome very friendly staff and beautiful animals
This place is amazing. From the animals to the tour guide.
They're doing good work.
Beautiful animals, beautiful scenery, wonderful staff, gift shop, class room. We've been twice and plan to make it a yearly tradition.
Amazing
Informative, but not much to see.
Seems like a cool place for boy scouts and tours. I had my wedding reception here and many things they promised me had a problem the day of. People threatened me with losing their jobs and they had to ask permission from someone's tío give me the alcohol I was paying for at the end of the night. All I asked for was to have tents up by 1230pm, didn't happen until after 4pm. And I asked for the speaker which allowed a tablet to be hooked up for music. Both things they said were not a problem, but apparently became a problem. Most of my guests left because there was no music until 840pm which had to be played from a car. Finally, after 10pm they found the cord for my tablet to be played... They are friendly people, but when it comes to events they do not have any clue what they are doing. Go during the sunset hour for a tour and hear the wolves howl, its pretty cool. They are doing good things for wildlife and deserve credit in that area. Just don't plan events through them.
Awesome tour. Really interesting to learn about the old army base that the sanctuary is built on and Wolf Scanctuary itself.
Like the World Bird Sanctuary (which is in the same area and I'd recommend anyone visiting check out), the center is located within beautiful and deep forests. The facility itself is highly educational and very focused on the betterment and reintroduction of endangered Canid species (hence the name).
Great field trip
Another must see on St Louis
This place is beautiful and the staff and volunteers are extremely nice and knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you have.
We had an amazing experience with the Engdangered Wolf Center. Not only was our tour guide, Matt Fox, exceptionally knowledable, he was also clearly passionate and devoted to the animals. Every volunteer we encountered was friendly and happy to contribute more information regarding the fascinating animals. The animals themselves were unique and definitely a “must see!” I cannot recommend this establishment enough. For us it was a stop along a road trip but without a doubt one of the highlights of our vacation!
This was a first time for me and I loved it. We went for the campfire howl. The wolves did not howl very much but there were multiple expecting wolves that are due any day so think they were getting ready for puppies.
(Translated by Google) Great conservation work of Red Wolf and Mexican Wolf as well as other species. (Original) Gran trabajo de conservación de Lobo rojo y Lobo Mexicano así como otras especies más.
This is a great place to visit. The staff are very knowledgeable about conservation and their mission to help the animals.
They hosted a messy play day for toddlers as well as tours of the wolf pens, a great experience. Super friendly staff and volunteers who were very knowledgeable. Lots of good work being done here.
Great sights
Went on a hike here for National Trails Day. Moderate level hike with some steep climbs on a beautiful trail, as well as a visit to a cave, catered lunch, raffle, and a visit from one of their resident foxes. Staff and volunteers were extremely friendly and helpful. This was our second event at the center and both have been very enjoyable, I highly recommend it!
awesome place to humanely rehabilitate wolves back to the wild
Love wolves
It was cool seeing wolves, I wish I could have heard them howl.
Feel this great spirit energy.
Beautiful property and fun activities. We got feel different pelts during the tour and see many animals.
My son's friend had a birthday party here. Its really cool got to see the wolves and hear them howl
Beautiful animals and worthy conservation efforts make this destination a must!
Awesome experience. Would highly recommend.
Great experience!
Make a reservation. I recommend attending more then 1 event. Educational and enjoyable!
An awesome Time today hiking the Trails and seeing the Caves and Forests. Bunkers still there from Army use during WWI band WWII
We had a great time at Wolf Fest!
These people are saving wolves. And getting them to safe habitats. Not sanctuaries- which, of course, also serve a purpose
Fun place to take the family but not stroller friendly.
A truly special place. My son and I loved it.
Helping save endangered wolves what a great place
What a wonderful educational tour. Learned about numerous species of wolves.
What an amazing experience! We came all the way from Michigan to visit as a surprise to my boyfriend for his bday. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable! This is not a zoo and we came with the knowledge of their rehabilitation and wanting to learn. These are wild animals and not meant for spectacle. Thank you to our great tour guides Erin and Shawn and to the keeper Sarah for answering all of our many questions! All of your guys dedication and passion is empowering!
Great non profit place to ser many varieties of wolves. Very kid friendly. The walk is a total of a mile. $16 adults $13 kids
Generally not open to the public. Good place to do an Eagle Scout Project
I learned so much. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I would like to go back someday and take one of the other tours they offer.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We learned a lot. I didn't know this place even existed until we went. Very inspiring to learn about the impact of predators, specifically wolves, on the ecosystem.
Tour guide was too long winded in my opinion. We were there for an hour and a half before we got to see any wolves!
Wolf Fest was fun!
Awesome place
Such a fun experience. I can not wait to do the howl
This year at the wolf-fest, the general parking was different from years past. We drove down the outer road (SW) at Antire and a very big field.
Amazing scenery. Highly recomended! Are they the same makers of Wolf Quest? I love it!
I had to go here because of my job. I had never heard of it before then. But let me tell you I do plan on going back. That place is beautiful. If you like the wilderness then you should go. They said in the fall they are open at night and they do a big fire with hot chocolate and you get to listen to the wolves all around you. Don't worry the wolves are in a big cage.
Great place to go and they have a wonderful mission they are trying to accomplish. The day I attended was for members only as my family donates. We got to see a maned wolf within 20 feet. Did not get to see the 14 newborns, but expected not to able to. If you have the ability to go, please do.
