I can't wait to come back with my nephew! What an amazing place to have available for the St. Louis surrounding area. Seeing exotic animals in a traditional zoo is amazing but being able to touch and interact with these incredible animals is a completely unique experience. Not to mention they only ask for $6/person- absolutely worth it. I can't encourage anyone enough to make the trip.

I'd give this place a higher rating if I could! The staff was all so friendly, the animals were well taken care of, everyone- kids and adults alike had a lot of fun. Watch out for the camel though, that butt will steal your feed cup right out of your hands.

This is an awesome place to go to be able to pet a wide variety of animals. Feeding them right from your hand is a fun experience. The prices for everything is very reasonable You can tell that everybody that works there really loves their animals and that they're well taken care of.

All in all it’s a great place to bring family the kids love it!!!we have been a few times and never had a problem we have had fun each time.... but we were there Sunday July 28 and the lady in the reptile house was very rude!!! My daughter who is 5 had a bird feeder stick and she fed it to paco(he kind of stole it from her but she was close enough that he could get it) as soon as she did she tried to get it back but he was to strong for her well the lady started talking to us like we knew he wasn’t supposed to have it and she kept saying over and over well thanks a lot he can’t have that know you are going to make him very sick!!! I apologized and she just kept saying it and rolling her eyes and my daughter felt bad because she didn’t know and started crying because the thought the bird was going to die:( the lady also said that they tell you at the front desk not to feed paco however we were not told that if we had been I would have never let her give it to him to get close enough he could take it I also looked to see if it was posted where he was at and it wasn’t I wanted to make sure we didn’t miss anything!!! Everyone else there made up for her bad attitude which is why you are getting 5 stars but it should be posted and she should learn how to talk to a 5 year old!!!!

Love this place! Much Much better than the zoo or grants farm. SSHHH don't tell anyone ...I don't want this over run with people! It is a PERFECT place to bring my grand kids!! They beg to go to CRITTER LANE every time I care for them! OH...and its inexpensive too!

LOVE this place! The prices are very reasonable. It's very clean, indoor bathrooms, food, and plenty of parking (although, it's never been crowded when we've gone). There is a large variety of animals spread out across the property, so you can really spend quite a bit of time there. The animals are awesome! But the people are what really make it so special! I have a severely Autistic son, and every time we've gone, they have gone above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience! And, it's not just us! They treat all of their guests with so much kindness, patience and generosity. We are grateful for this awesome place!

Critter Lane is a great place. The animals are amazing but the staff is even better. You can see the love and care the have for their animals. They love to tell you all about them even the funny things that make them personable. It really is a great place to take your kids and let them interact with animals. From feeding a goat to holding a bunny or maybe even petting a snake it truelly is wonderful!

Cindys Zoo canceled 10 minutes before a scheduled birthday party. I had over 30 people in my yard waiting to see animals. It was absolutely horrible. My son was so disappointed. I didn't hear from Cindy till several days later. Very unprofessional to say the least.

Very neat place for people of all ages. The animals seemed well taken care of and there was a large variety to see. You can feed most of them. Food refills are only $1.50 a cup.

I had a wonderful time friends from out of town! The people were friendly and their were so many animals to feed/pet. You can't get that experience at their price of admission at a zoo! Super friendly, great prices, amazing place to spend an hour or your whole day with your family or by yourself if your a loner and love animals! My favorite was the Elk, my wife's favorite was holding the baby kangaroo! Kids favorite was riding the camal and miniature pony!

Very cute little petting zoo! It isn't bad in pricing at all with $6 a person and kids under 2 are free. It isn't the fanciest petting zoo, but it's local and fun for kids!

Visited with my 11 year old nephew and we loved the place! Very friendly staff at the front counter. Not too many staff members throughout the park, said we could hold a snake but no employee ever came in the reptile house. But loved feeding all the different animals and loved Maynard the Mammoth Jack!!

It is a walk thru park that can delight children as well as adults. Feed is available to purchase to feed most animals. Camal and pony rides are available. Plenty of benches for sitting but not to handicap accessible.

I commented on their post about white tigers coming to the petting zoo, concerned for their quality of life, and within minutes my comment was deleted. Now I am blocked from commenting on anything on their page. White tigers are not natural. They are inbred and have genetic problems. Not to mention, traveling wild animals almost always have a very poor quality of life. If this place was truly about the quality of life of animals, they would appreciate my concern for the tigers and answer my question instead of blocking me from helping to educate others on how these beautiful animals are so often mistreated. To be fair, I do not know of the quality of life of the animals that live at their facility. However, if quality of animals' lives is a top priority, even above human entertainment, as it should be, there is no reason to delete my comment and ban me from commenting on anything on their page. If you have nothing to hide, why would you try to silence people concerned about animals, especially if animals are your passion too? Clearly good reviews, money, entertainment, and profit are more important to them than the quality of these animals lives. It's unfortunate and sad that this company chooses to delete any seemingly negative reviews, comments, or even concerned questions, to give others a biased review of their business. And because of it, animals will suffer. Shame on them.

I wanted to go here with my boyfriend because I love animals and he let me. I loved it but I think, because of the heat, some things were harder to get to. The pond was very dirty and many of the animals needed water. I don't know their water regimen or any of that but otherwise the staff were friendly and the place was allover amazing!

Hi, yesterday October nineteenth I was fortunate to go with my friend kim and her three youngest children who are fantastic and I consider them as my grandchildren. ZERO STARS Went here on a field trip and was highly disappointed. The animals are not well taken care of. They were VERY hungry like they hadn't eaten in days and some of the enclosures were downright disgusting. It broke my heart walking around there. The "playground" is dirty and unsafe. The seesaw had a broken part - leaving sharp pieces of wood exposed. The metal tractor had sharp pieces of metal sticking up everywhere - one boy actually cut his finer. It was tetanus waiting to happen. We paid a head of time per child for the field trip, but then when we got there, were expected to pay extra everything else - bird feeding sticks, tractor ride, the questionable swing ride. What about the kiddos that didn't have parents there? That should have been included in the fee we already paid or don't offer the extras. I will not be back and plan on contacting someone regarding the living conditions of those poor animals.

I prefer the St. Louis Zoo, I feel more comfortable there. The workers at critter lane make my family and I feel unwanted and uncomfortable I guess we dont "look" like were from the area even though we are.. I dont know. It is an awkward feeling walking into pay and it gets really quiet no welcome hello how are you thank you have fun nothing, then when you move on you hear those same things said to other customers, Its strange. I may continue to give them my business because my kids love it there but I prefer the zoo and try to go as much as possible to avoid here. Sad because it is actually a great place for kids we love it here.. just dread walking in and walking out.

Hidden gem outside of St. Louis! Family owned and operated, the staff are friendly and great with kiddos. We visited on Easter and they had an egg hunt with candy and prizes for the kids. Extremely affordable and the animals are well cared for and loved by the owners. We cannot wait to go back!

Went here with my toddler and family for the morning. It was so incredibly fun! My son loved feeding and petting all the animals. His favorites were the goats and the baby kangaroo (a little joey). They have an amazing amount of animals and the staff was so incredibly friendly. The place is well maintained and the animals are very well cared for. Definitely worth the drive. Oh, and the cost couldn't get any friendlier. Highly recommend for all ages! We'll be back again.

Very cool, costs a little but no parking fees. So by the time you go to stl zoo and food you spend way more and they get boatloads of tax money. Plus here kids pretty much get to feed everything. Looks like there improving little by little.
