This Zoo corresponds to the category of Zoo.
Definitely a small zoo and saw everything in one morning (coming from NC where our zoo is 500 acres- a different story ☺️) but we really enjoyed it! Staff was friendly and we got discounted admission through reciprocity with our NC zoo membership. It was quiet, no real crowds, plenty of animals to see. The lioness was roaring a lot which the kids loved (although she almost seemed disturbed by how vocal she was- not an animal behavior expert though!). We didn't take advantage of the splash pad but it appears very popular for a hot day! The playground outside the entrance was a nice bonus.
Great little zoo! I was surprised to see 3 big Lions and they had my favorite a Red Panda that was very active. Kids under 2 are Free and there is a nice playground right outside.
Very nice zoo! The girl working the giftshop/ticket entry could use some customer service training but the zoo itself was excellent! Small but definitely was worth the ride from NH and wasn't pricey either.
Zoo was small but the animals were very active on a 40F day and appeared to be well cared for. Zoo staff were friendly and answered questions we had about the animals. I took my boyfriend and we spend a lot of time looking at each animal and it took us a little under 1.5 hours to see it all (some places were closed for the winter). Make sure to pull up a map on their website because it would be easy to miss exhibits without it.
I took 2 children 2+4 this is a great little zoo.
Small zoo that you can walk through in an 1-2hrs. Great for little ones.
Great place for kids to be introduced to wild animals.
The animals were kind of limited. But the animals they did have were great.
Quiet and cool.
LOVED this zoo! It might be smaller, but it is amazing. We loved all the animals and enjoyed the fact that it wasn't flooded with people. Come support this zoo! (side note...we loved their buffalo chicken from the cafe area)

A fantastic zoo for the family. Like many others have said, the zoo isn’t large. But the zoo is well-maintained and very clean. The enclosures are excellent as well. Prices are very reasonable, and if you have a pass to Franklin Park Zoo or the Museum of Science, you get a heavy discount. We’ll be back again soon.
Such a fun place to take the kiddos for the day! There is a zoo, a splash pad an also the park is right next to it. We had a wonderful day! Definitely going back soon.
Excellent Zoo, all of animals look very healthy and well cared for and live in a clean environment. Great place to visit.
I went to get a membership as a birthday gift. It will be great fun for a full year. Zoo, playground and splash pad. Fresh air !
Great little zoo! I was surprised to see 3 big Lions and they had my favorite a Red Panda that was very active. Kids under 2 are Free and there is a nice playground right outside.
The grounds and plantings are lovely
Capron Park is a hidden Gem! great for walking a great zoo and awesome farmers market all summer. If you go tell no one
Best zoo in New England!
Always a great peaceful time here, plus the scenery is lovely, friendly people in the neighborhood as well.
Perfect for summer trips! Kids love the splash pad. Lions are beautiful.
For what it is (a very small zoo) it does it very well! Their main attraction is the Lion Den, but they have a good variety of animals including a nocturnal exhibit. They have a large playground just outside the zoo (free to public) and inside the zoo a nice splash pad. It is perfect for younger kids that might not have the stamina for larger zoo. Season passes are great for repeat short visits on nice days.
Inexpensive convenient and well cared for. Truly a diamond in the rough.
Great place for an easy local day
Love Capron Park (zoo) go all the time not alot of animals but what they do have are nicely taken care of, the new rainforest is great, the best around - relatively inexpensive- great for walking also the grounds are beautiful, they do a great job!!
small zoo but the animals are more close up than Roger Williams Zoo. my 2 year old loves it
Just the perfect size zoo with the most active animals I've ever seen!!
Great local zoo, great for the young or young at heart.
Great little zoo my daughter loved it.
Been coming here for 50 years. Now I bring my daughter. Beautiful park
First time at the Capron Park Zoo and came out very happy. Many animals and birds to appreciate.
Great little zoo right in the middle of Capron Park! It's small enough to walk through in an hour, but has some of the best exotic animals! Lions, kangaroos, otters, meerkats, and some very noisy and boisterous lemurs. Great for kids and adults alike, and very, very affordable!
Great small, fun zoo
Very nice zoo! The girl working the giftshop/ticket entry could use some customer service training but the zoo itself was excellent! Small but definitely was worth the ride from NH and wasn't pricey either.
Cute place to bring kids. And is small,so it's perfect for letting the kids walk themselves. The splash pad is fun. A lot of the habitats are small and I feel bad for the animals. But overall it's a good place to bring the kids
It’s nice to have such a great location in Attleboro for family’s to enjoy
clean and cute a nice place to go for a walk and view a few critters you don't see to often. obviously great for the kids
When the weather is nice, this is a place worthy of your money. There is an astounding array of intercontinental animals, right in Attleboro! There also seems to be a water-splash area for the kids. The park itself is clean and beautiful. This is a true gem for the Attleboro area. Give them a few extra dollars when you visit!
Nice short walk.great place to relax and see some critters
Great place for the family peaceful walking
Zoo is really clean and the animals seem really happy
Great place to bring the Grandkids
A good amount of childhood memories were made here. I could go on and on about them; but i am sure you don't care. Anyway, its a good park for kids and has a sweet Zoo.
Love this little hideaway. Small enough to go through in about an hour, but nice enough to keep coming back.
Best 9 dollars I have spent in a long time! Great way to spend a couple hours with the whole family!
One of many parks we visit
It's a great place to visit
Clean and a lot of variety to enjoy
Went to Capron Park Zoo over the weekend to enjoy the weather and see some animals with my daughters. The price for admission is not bad and if you live in Attleboro you save $1.00 on each admission. All together it is an okay zoo. They have a beautiul wooden bridge you can walk across a man made pond stocked with koi and other fish and there are 2 islands on each side of the bridge that have lemurs living there when the weather starts to warm up during the night. It is a smaller zoo which i dont mind but i feel that some of the larger animals like the lions definitely need much more space to run around and be active than they have. I observed mabey 2 or 3 African Lions in a very small enclosure. :( I felt bad for them. A few other animals could definitely use more space as well. Thats why i gave 4 stars instead of 5.
Had a great time at the birthday party held by the zoo staff with 3 animals chosen by the birthday child to learn about and pet. Unfortunately we didnt get to see the zoo animals, a high heat index caused them to retreat to cooler buildings. We (including the adults) cooled.ourselves at the splash pad.
Very nice place and lots to see
Aside from the zoo, includes a beautiful park with walkways, a monument and a rose garden.
Great zoo to take toddlers too. They have a volunteer zoo keeper who walks around and will talk about the animals at the zoo. It’s very clean and easy to get around. It was a very hot day and the use of the splash pad was perfect.
Wonderful,Clean... This is one of a few beautiful staples of the Attleboro's . My memories as a child with grandparents who lived in this small town city are endless. I now visit with my children on occasion....
It's a small zoo but smartly designed. You see animals immediately and everywhere you turn. They are well taken care of and the zoo is involved in a lot of conservation programs. Most exciting of all is the animal encounters. I did the red panda encounter and it was incredible. Animal interaction is not guaranteed, but we were lucky to see them very active, running all around us and even putting paws on us to check us out. The money goes toward conservation. It's a worthy cause and an exciting experience.
It's a small zoo and I would recommend if your not expecting to see a bunch of animals or local
The best unique variety and popular known animals, reptiles etc. Very well maintained. Also a nice playground. Open grass area's for ball playing.
It is a small zoo. Good for quick trips if you are looking for a good place to spend just an hour or two. You could spend the whole day if you wish but you can get around quick if you need to. The staff seems friendly and helpful. The animals were easy to see. There are a multitude of play areas just outside the zoo itself in Capron Park which is also quite nice.
Too hot for animals
Cheap place to enter. Small splash pad for little ones. Very little for food. Not a big place. Will only take 1 hour 1 and1/2 tops to go through. nice park directly outside
Wonderful,Clean... This is one of a few beautiful staples of the Attleboro's . My memories as a child with grandparents who lived in this small town city are endless. I now visit with my children on occasion....
It's a small Zoo but fun and beautiful place
Good zoo, small but nice
Not justified the amount paid 5 $
Loved it looking forward to going back
Great little zoo
I loved it and the kids loved it not to big plenty to do. A playground outside and a splash pad inside. They have a food court if you get hungry. Great place for a day out with the family if your close to Attleboro
Better in summer but we enjoyed it!
Small exhibit.. sice Park area.
It's a small zoo, reasonably priced. It's great if you want to see interesting animals and not walk too much.
It's a small park and zoo. The place is very well kept the ground keepers and zoo staff are very nice people. The animals are so beautiful and specially the lion ....
Love this zoo! Small, but a lot of animals. Lions, red pandas, sloth bears, and leopards are highlights!
Took my three year old to the zoo relatively small zoo compared to others but still had a great time. Took us about 45 minutes to walk around the whole zoo which had lions red pandas and my favorite a sloth bear really cool but it is inexpensive and a great way to spend a couple hours with your kids.
Great place to go!
Been going since I was a baby, a city land mark and so proud to be from Attleboro. Used to here the lion from my parents house. The farmers market is awesome addition in the warm weather
A fantastic little zoo. Not huge, but large enough to enjoy a few hours looking around and seeing all the animals. A great day out for the little kids and at a very good price.
Love the splash pad and park for the kids.
Nice playground equipment. However, it could use some sprucing up, more mulch. There is exposed concrete.
Super cute and small. Price was very reasonable!! Their setup made it so we could get really close to the animals (through glass). I'm excited to book a red panda encounter and go back!
So many activities for a family fun whole day!
A small but well maintained zoo in the heart of Attleboro. The star attraction is the White Lion. There’s a leopard, a couple of red pandas, kangaroos, an emu and river otters too. An hour is good to cover everything to be seen here.
Great zoo, playground
So...yeah. It is a clean zoo with a decent assortment of animals but it is very small compared to the majority of other zoo's out there and probably not worth the money. The food court is extremely slow.

Great zoo to take the kids too without breaking the bank to do so
Nice zoo. Small but very clean. Has a small water splash area for kids during hot months.
Close to home never been there have to put on my list lol
They refused to sell me a ticket at 4:03 and the girl who went to the door when i knocked was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes when i asked if there was any way I could buy one and she slammed the door in my face. Overall horrible place to bring your family and not even worth it.
It's a great family day trip to see a wide selection of animals, even pet and feed a few. But the food isn't recommended.
Got a season pass to this place, love it. Wear a bathing suit for the splash pad! Casual walk, animals all look well cared for.
Best time I had with my family great place to bring a family and friends my 1st time there and it will not be my last I have fun Great time
Such a great little place to visit for the day! Small little zoo but cute and will definitely go back again!!! The lion was amazing and so was the golden lion monkey was just so adorable!
A good portion of the animals were "sick" according to staff, some seemed very uneasy of people around them and most exhibits are WAY too small for them and are not properly cared for, this zoo in general is way to small for the animals that are there to actually strive at under 9 acres total. Take the drive to Franklin park zoo where they have 70+ acres and the animals have the space they deserve to roam and feel safe. The animals here deserve better and its not fair.
Great family zoo kids playground splash pad in season and snack bar, gift shop
Really fun Halloween event great for young children!
My niece loved it
Great small zoo with clean safe splash pad for a quick cool off. Plenty of shade covered walk ways. Just a nice place to visit!!
Such a great little place to visit for the day! Small little zoo but cute and will definitely go back again!!! The lion was amazing and so was the golden lion monkey was just so adorable!
Fun time ... something different to do
Love zoos, this one is just fine.
This place is a hidden gem! Not very big but it is enough for a child under 10 to walk the whole place and not be exhausted. We absolutely loved this place. It was under $10 to get in and even cheaper for a child. Consessions are extremely reasonable as well. Plenty of animals
Great free park, playground & splash park! The zoo itself is on the small side but great for a couple hours of walking around and enjoying the animals. Knowledgeable staff willing to help & share fun facts. We go a few times a year! Price of admission is low so go and enjoy!
I really enjoyed it.
It was nice seeing all the new changes that have been made since last time there. Great staff.
We visited as part of Free Fun Fridays. We expected a large crowd and that's what we found. There are quite a number of wonderful animals here. My favorite was the leopard. She was quite beautiful! We were disappointed to learn that we could not bring a picnic lunch into the zoo. There really wasn't a lot of tables or spaces to enjoy it even if we had been allowed.
Cute, small zoo. Very manageable for small kids for a few hours. Our kids loved the splash pad.
It's a great local zoo
Had a lot of fun. Very friendly staff, husband is an veteran so there was a discount to get in, already a very low price, zoo animals were all awake and playing. The lemurs were yelling the lion roared and the goats were hungry. Had a great lil family outing
Great local zoo! Price very reasonable for groups and families.
Great little zoo and park, also a great price
Conservation for the animals is key. Nice habitats.
Cute little zoo for the kids and nice place to take a walk. We live close by so it's good in the summer to come by and use the splash pad and play in the park .
Small but adequate. Friendly staff, and great the right amount of fun for my 2yr old
Great place, not expensive, not so commercial that why are trying to sell you something on every corner. You actually see the animals pretty close. Splash pad is great on a hot day.
Fun for the whole family
A good portion of the animals were "sick" according to staff, some seemed very uneasy of people around them and most exhibits are WAY too small for them and are not properly cared for, this zoo in general is way to small for the animals that are there to actually strive at under 9 acres total. This isn't a bad little local zoo. The staff is friendly - but I think the price for adult admission was a little high. I also found that when we went, some exhibits were closed.
Small zoo but many animals not found at other zoos in the area. Great splashpad and the park just outside of the zoo is great.
Has a fun splash pad for kids!
Nice quiet place to sit for a lunch break
I've read that alot of families loved this place! I will be checking it out in a matter of minutes. First time with my kiddos. And they don't know ❤️❤️ I'm excited
Great for a family outing. Not so big that you have to spend all day there. You can take your time and see everything in less than 2 hours. There's also a splash pad for the kids, so bring those bathing suits.
Fun zoo with lots of animals. Cool splash pad for the kids.
Very disappointed with this experience half the attractions were closed due to remodeling and was notified of this after paying for admission. A life long resident I have seen this zoo go from a kids dream day full of Adventure to a shell of itself
Great Farmers Market!! Music, veges, seafood, sandwiches & wares!! Support small business!!
Our favorite zoo! These animals have such personality and are very interesting
A cute little zoo with a nice splash pad
Great for field trips. Splash pad if awesome
Great place to bring the kids to. Even when the zoo is closed 4 season they have a playground and great place to take walk with pets
Great little zoo! Very clean, and the animals are well taken care of. Can’t wait to go back in warmer weather!
Not everything was open because it was early for animals who like hotter weather. Still the kids enjoyed seeing the different animals and really enjoyed the nocturnal display as well as the rain forest. Lions were active, always a plus! Great little zoo! Can't go wrong with the park playground and the water pad when weather is hot.
TThis zoo is very small. They charge $9.00 admission fee for a adult. Food stand is expensive. For a hamburger hot dog onion rings 1 large soda it cost 20 bucks! Animals are cool to see. I think enclosures for them are too small. This zoo is ok. Just too small for the money.
A real small zoo, but don't let the size fool you at all. This is very charming place and the animals here are fantastic to watch. And the staff here are great!
If you are not from Attleboro, price beware!! If you are, the price isn’t too bad, as long as you bring your ID. If you are a Museum of Science member... FREE!!! It’s cute and has a bigger variety and nicer set up than you might think for such a small place. Kids seem to love it time and time again. The bad: if you happen to be when they have 1-3 (out of 6 or so) sections of the Zoo shutdown due to renovations... they give you no warning, they charge you full price and they offer no apology. So maybe ask before you enter if you are from out of town.
Great little zoo. The Lions are the star attraction. If your lucky Ramses will give a good roar and let everyone know he's the boss.
The animals have very reduced spaces and are notoriously stressed. The leopard is walking in circles for hours, the bears are trying to make a whole in the door, and the poor fennec fox is running from one side to another the whole day. Let's not forget the monkeys have the saddest pose ever. It's very sad to see.
Very nice place to go enjoy with your kinds
Best zoo around. Has everything, from tegu, to cranes, red pandas, lions, sloth bears, to giant tortoises. Water park area for the kids to cool off. Indoor areas for birds, lizards, general nocturnal animals. Kids had a great time, and we did too. We had a season membership, but day passes are relatively inexpensive. You won't leave disappointed. We've been going now for almost 20 years.
Great Zoo for this size town. Nice to see animals from around the world.
We always have fun there small zoo. It's right prices for its size the splash pad is great ib the summer. And the kids love the play area just outside the zoo it's a full day of assorted fun
Farmers Markets I love it, can't wait for next saturday.
It's an amazing little zoo. It has different habitats to explore and fun events. They have a fun play ground. And a variety of animals. Roaring Lions, and cute furry bears. Adorable red pandas, and kangaroos. They have a rainforest and nocturnal habitat. Plus much more. Perfect for little ones. A great environment for everyone.
Kids loved it
This place is great. The entrance fee is reasonable and the animals are great. My wife, our daughter, and I went and we all loved it.
Small zoo but always a nice family place to go and have a gr8 day!
Small, well cared for zoo. Great for kids and seniors, limited walk in a comfortable atmosphere. Leisurely stroll on a sunny afternoon allows view of zoo animals and well cared for landscaping. Reasonable admission price and pleasant surroundings.
Easy to get to, plenty of parking.
Free concert on Thursday nite
Awesome playground and great zoo
Great place to spend your day
Winter nights Festival at Capron Park. hot chocolate, coffee and munchkins or chocolate chip or sugar cookies. Here are some pictures I had some awesome video but can't figure out how to upload that seems like it will only let me send pictures too bad the videos will pretty cool
My cat was on the floor at my house. It was fun
Great little zoo. Easy walk for littles and great half day adventure.
great place to take kids
We're visiting from Cleveland Ohio to see our granddaughter. Our son and daughter-in-law found this little place and it's just the perfect size for young people and old people like me to walk. They turn the water splash pad off 15 minutes before closing which really bummed me out. That was the last thing we were going to visit and as soon as we got there they turn the water off.... boo!
This place is great. The entrance fee is reasonable and the animals are great. My wife, our daughter, and I went and we all loved it.
This is a small quaint zoo which is perfect for a brief outing. The splashpad inside the zoo and the playground outside the zoo are an added bonus. The lions and the bears are the biggest animals you will see, but they have a good variety of other animals for a small place. The rainforest room is a highlight.
Have been going since I was a teen and now taking my grandchildren. Always getting better.
Not very big but enough for my toddler kids, they love it!
Great place for the family. Beautiful and well taken care animals.
Great local zoo. My son loves the splash pad in the summer.
Very affordable. Clean, friendly staff. Good if you dont want to do the full blown Roger William's type of adventure. Theres an incredible playground there, which is near the entrance, and it seems many kids would choose the free playground instead of the zoo if they had to pick- seems our little rascals would rather play with monkey bars and chuck themselves down small plastic planks than see some of nature's best and exotic animals!!
Very well maintained enclosures. This was reflected in the overall appearance of their animals. A very cute place to go and very reasonable prices. They had a great range of animals and neat facts about them.
An old favorite of mine.
Nice place for kids
Live across the street, very relaxing
Had a great time.
Clean, well maintained, employees takes pride in the park and with their jobs. A real asset to this geographic area.
Always a great time.
Small but awsome
Inexpensive and great local zoo. It had more animals than I ever would've imagined from looking at the outside. Great fun for the kids, too.
Small place bit a good amount of animals. Lions in the center!
Nice place to take the family! Animals all look good and happy!!
Its a fine small zoo, great for toddlers. Has a splash pad, snack bar and picnic area. Animals include lion, kanagroos, red panda, sloth bear, lemurs, nocturnal animals, birds, otters and more.
This is a hidden jewel kinda place... Good animals, Lions are very rare in zoo... Capron zoo has 3... Superb splash pad for kids and is perfectly priced unlike some super expensive zoos... good place to have 3-4 hour hang out...
Love it!!!always great time for the kids and us adults also...
Not a huge fan of animals being in captivity for entertainment. But it was quite surreal to be so close to lions... my first time. It was really cool to check them out at such a close distance!
Small, but great for little ones
A really nice little zoo, our 2-yr old grandchild had a great time. Disappointed that the otter exhibit was closed. Good playground too.
Easy affordable fun! Winter months are even a blast as there are buildings to dip in and out of to explore and warm up. Not a huge place, but easy fun! Oh and summer time splash pad!
Our family loves Capron zoo not just for the animals and exhibits but the splash pad is such a hit along with the beautiful park outside the zoo.
I was a bus driver. Kids had fun. Thank u for welcoming special need kids
Small but still really nice ! They have plenty of animals and also if you plan on going during the summer there is a splash pad for the kiddos that is a great build in feature as well the only complain I have is the food service I got 1 drink and 1 cheesy fry it took almost a hour to get my food I would understand it if it was busy or the orders where big but neither applied also everyone's orders was incorrect so for that reason I would not order food I would bring my own .
Great place for the kids
Beautiful place to take a walk.
Had a wonderful day here. First timer. My son, age 5 had an amazing time. We cant wait to go back.
Great place! Zoo and a splash pad. You can buy a bag of sand and at their water table, sift for treasures. They also have a playground! They have picnic benches where you can bring a lunch and you can buy ice cream there.
