REVIEWS OF Animal Adventure Park IN Massachusetts

Michael Singleton

We love Animal Adventure. My wife and I take our son there a couple times a year. It has grown so much over the years and is a great place to see a lot of different animals up close and personal. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the animals too.

DogMom60

It was an awesome trip. I went mainly to see the giraffes again but just loved all of the animals. I did the Aussie Encounter too and that was so great! The staff was so kind and informative. I’ll be going back annually probably for the rest of my life. When you find a place in this world that brings you peace. Go for it!

Lynn

I went to Animal Adventure Park yesterday. What a fabulous place. I hand fed all sorts of animals. Including 4 HUGE giraffes. I can't say enough how very special this place is. The Staff is wonderful. It was very obvious how well the animals were taken care of. But, that same staff was interested in you, took time to chat with you...explained anything you wanted to know about the animals. And the animals were "friendly". They almost seemed (at least to me) that they wanted to know you. Clean..spotless... Thank you Jordan and your team. Your efforts in the field of conservation are so important. May the park continue to grow and thrive.

Jennifer Harrison

I first visited the park after Taj was born and could not wait to visit again. I took my grandson today and I have to say I thought the park was great the first time but I was in shock at the difference today. The changes in the park in the last 2 years are amazing!! The staff is great the park is so clean the new gift shop is amazing. The animals are so well cared for. The animal enclosures are so roomy and nice. I will be back

April Foulds

Love the hands on experience with the animals. The special events (Drafts with Giraffes, Wine for Wolves) are awesome! The staff answers any/all questions with friendly and knowledgeable demeanor. I have NEVER had a bad experience, and have visited many times!

Jamie gowan

It had many species of wild animals and clean and informative! Great for kids!

Fred Amey

A great day with the animals. Did not know that there was so many animals there. Very fair prices, friendly people, loved it.

Aiden Thomas

I am the 2000th review! Park is clean, animals are amazing! By the way, the cheese at the Base Camp is a different price than the cheese at the Safari Grill.

Phyllis Ann

Family friendly. Great experience for all ages. Definitely worth the trip. Jordan and staff are amazing!

Sherry

Large variety of animals well taken care of!! Facilities clean and accessible by all. Lots of fun things for kids! Enjoyable for us adults too!!

ComedyROHRS ComedyYAAA

The animals are awesome! Some u get to pet, some you get to look at, some you get to feed! My favorite was the peacock. The peacock makes a funny sound "aahhhhhAAAHHH". I think I confused my dad, I made the peacock noise and he thought it was the peacock and not me x33

Rebecca Quilty

This place is incredible. It's awesome to get to see so many animals up close! Very clean. Friendly staff. Nice, paved pathways. Can't wait to go back on a warmer, less rainy day!

Before I give my review: If you plan to go here, the small camel near the front of the zoo loves hugs and kisses. Give them a hug and kiss for me. By far the best zoo I've been to! The workers are friendly and easy to talk with, and they are good at answering any questions you have. If you like interacting with animals, this is by far the best zoo for that. Most of the animals you can hand feed. They are all very friendly and will come to see you at the fence. The people that visit there are also friendly and easy to bond with!

Melody Kushinski

Worth the trip from Minnesota! Staff were great and the animals are well taken care of.

Eric Dominguez

Absolutely love it! Right from the gate as we were paying, the young woman marked our map with times of when they had people give a little informative instruction on some of the animals. The food was simple but good. I'm looking forward to taking the family back soon.

Joshua Hall

This place is absolutely amazing to me. Plenty of animal interactions to be had here and to learn. You can get buckets of food to feed all different animals. Prices for admission and food within park are fair for everything. They have some updated areas to check out newer exhibits! We participated in the sloth personal encounter and I couldn't be more impressed with the information and knowledge the zoo keepers all have. I cant wait to come back again as things are always changing!

Samantha Kauchis

Pricey, but well worth it! My kids always have a blast.

Brent Wimer

Great place to take the family. Many improvements have been made in the last 2-3 years. Always fun to feed the animals from your hands.

Kristine Tourtellotte

This a beautiful place. Great staff that take really good care of all of their animals. Have been there two years in a row, going again this year which will be my third visit. The park is changing while they grow. It keeps getting better and better. A must see.

Brian Terrier

Very nice place. To take your family

Emma Brennan

The improvements they have made over the last year have been phenomenal. The air conditioned childrens changing and nursing area was a HUGE and pleasant surprise. Absolutely a great family trip!

Kris Schwier

This place is fabulous! We went in the off season so didnt get to see all the animals but still had a chance to feed all the giraffes. Very clean and friendly place.

Bill Mardel

Good place ...staff friendly and knowledgeable...only takes a couple of hours to see everything.

Andrea Host

The kids had great fun feeding the animals and getting up close. There are plenty of animals to see. The cages are nice and the park is clean. It is a little pricey and for the money, they should give the kids a free cup of food.

John Faulks

Well worth the drive and a great place for young and old. They sell food so you can feed all manner of different animals. The paths are all paved for strollers and wheelchairs, although there are some gentle slopes. Most animals have very informative displays and seem well cared for, even if some of the spaces seem a bit small.

Jerry Corliss

Very nice private animal park. You can feed almost all of the animals. April the giraffe who is famous for having her babies live online lives here.

Erica Deretz

Nice place, very clean and organized. Love that you can interact with so many of the animals! Extremely kid friendly.

Jessica Guerriero-Sorensen

Great fun but no shade or place to wash up, but Soo many animals!

Cindy Gisiner

Animals well cared for... staff at the ready to help, answer questions or just take a photo with you or for you

Jill Dominguez

We had a great time. The animals are so beautiful. The park is neat and clean. Food prices are not that bad. Plus, free parking.

Megan Goodman

We had so much fun! The exhibits were great, clean and the animals seemed happy. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Shelly Fenlon

This park is for true animal lovers! For a small fee you can feed most of the animals present in the park. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I even overheard a staff member say, "i love working here." Exhibits are in tip top shape. Handicap accessible and wheelchairs are available for rent. A MUST SEE!!

Rick Pearson

Incredible place, kids didnt want to leave, Feeding all the animals was fun for all. April and the baby can really eat. Can't wait to see the new baby. Lots of fun.

Judy Wisenburn

Great place for a Family trip. Great for little ones.. Great for the older ones that may like to sit and watch their younger ones have fun. Lots of benches throughout park. Portapotties. But also handicapped accessible flush toilets just inside main entrance. Animals & entire park clean & well cared for.

Karen Yells

Because of the way Jordan has treated Alyssa and now Corey, I will no longer support AAP. Do you really think Taj "just happened" to not be able to go to his new home? I think not. Jordan is more interested in the money than the animals. Shame on you Jordan. I just wonder one thing Jordan, if you had an emergency would you be able to leave?

Mary Hower

Every time I visit, the park is consistently clean and well maintained, the animals are all happy and well cared for, and the staff are very "people friendly" and patient. This is a wonderful place for all ages and all abilities. If you live within an hour or two, the membership card is a great deal.

Bev Roberts

What a wonderful day @ Animal Adventure Park!! If you haven't been there yet, you must go and soon. So many of us call it our happy place...you will too

Kit Donovan

They do a fantastic job providing the opportunity to interact with the animals and have a hands on experience! A little annoying how much Nicole and diming is involved. You pay admission fee, but then each type of feed is a separate cost. Currently the famous, April the Giraffe, is kept in an area where the best view of her is from an observation deck where you have to pay $3 to access. The fee is for the carrots to be able to feed her, which is a lot of fun, but it's definitely not a coincidence that their most famous animal is in a premium pay zone. No outside food or drink is allowed, but that seems to be mostly a safety concern that people might try to feed bits of their lunch to animals. You can exit and re-enter with a hand stamp, so eating lunch at your car is a perfectly fine option. You are allowed to bring a reusable water bottle, but there are no water fountains on site. Also, wear good walking shoes because there are some inclines and you will want to explore every inch of the facility!

Linda Hall

Amazing park! Very clean and animals are well taken care of. Spent three hours there in the pouring rain, but I would do it again. Saw all of the giraffes, even though Azizi appeared not to like being outdoors and Oliver, we were told, did not go out at all.

Shiloh Soper

Absolutely enjoyed it, and feeding the animals. The gift shop is well priced and worth the merchandise due to it all being put back into the park.

Fox

We have traveled from West Virginia twice to visit Animal Adventure Park, and will definitely be returning. It's an amazing, magical place! The animals are so loved and cared for by an amazing team who take pride in what they do. Jordan Patch and the entire staff are so kind and friendly, they always take time to answer questions and they feel like friends. I enjoyed my conversation with Shari at giraffe deck 2, she's very knowledgeable and fun. A shout out to Jim who grills one heck of a burger at Safari Grill! No matter where you are,it is well worth the trip. Please consider visiting and supporting the conservation efforts of this wonderful park.

Kathy Geisler

My daughter and I visited for the first time last week and had the best time ever! We fed everyone, took many pictures, listened in on the bear handler's talk and communed with nature for a few hours. The enclosures were spacious, very clean and offered a lot of enrichment for the animals. Well worth the trip!

Bob anderson

What an amazing little Zoo. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and were very informative, it was so obvious that they were passionate and caring for the animals. This came across especially with one of the owners, Jordan, who took time out to talk to us as my daughter had been following the giraffes for a couple of years. This zoo deserves to be supported

Amanda Evans

Animal Adventure Park has been cited for numerous violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act, including failing to provide animals with adequate veterinary care, allowing them to escape, and endangering their safety. Conditions for giraffes at roadside zoos such as Animal Adventure Park are far from adequate. These social animals have vast ranges in their natural habitat, but at roadside zoos, they're kept in cramped, barren enclosures and sometimes in solitary confinement. In addition, the lack of adequate foraging opportunities and the barren environment in which they're kept often lead them to develop abnormal behavior patterns, including pacing and repetitive licking.

Nancy D. Nevels

This is the cleanest animal park or zoo I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to quite a few. The habitats are clean, the grounds are clean, the animals all look well fed and happy. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely 5 star.

Debbie Lee

Very enjoyable animal park with a focus on education about endangered species and conservation efforts to prevent species extinction. You can get up close to many animals even feeding them carrots, lettuce or food pellets. Among my favorite was feeding April the giraffe and Tajiri her son seen in this picture. Also enjoyed the lion talk featuring info on the rare white lion pair who showed their affection to the keeper giving the talk. Fell in love with the sweet baby dromedary

michael pietschker

Nice place to spend the day take in the sights and enjoy the animals. The park is clean and neat with hand wash stations around the park. The only thing I will say is alot of them were ot of soap. Other then that the staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Me and my wife had a good time and will go back

Rick Brooks

This is a nice place to visit for the whole family. Many of the animals you can feed them. There are plenty of hand washing stations and it only takes about an hour and a half to walk through at your own pace.

Ü Lee

It has good amount of animals. We didn't see the lions, tho. Perfect size for our 2.5 yo kids. They actually finished the whole tour without us carrying them around. We went in around 10:30AM and got out around 12:30 PM. We bought a cup of pills and some carrots. It would be more fun for the kids to get a mixture of food to feed the animals(grass pills, grapes, lettuce, and carrots) Some of the animals got so full that they didn't get too excited about the food in our hands. Giraffes are big hits, except our children got scared once they got close and realized how big giraffes actually were. The only thing I would suggest is to install a changing table somewhere. They advertised for the kids and it was odd that we couldn't find any changing table in the facility. We saw a guy approaching the cockatoo(Please don't do that!) and he got yelled at by the park member right away although the cockatoo willingly went on his hand and seemed to enjoy that very much. For the guy's defense, the no touching sign was a little hard to see because it was on the ground hidden in the grass when you walked up to the birds from certain angle. For the park member who was doing his job, perhaps it would be a good idea for the park to build a lower fence for the bird area to stop people from coming too close and put the no touching sign above the fence so then no one would be able to use the excuse of not being able to see the sign. BTW, I later found out the guy who got yelled at actually builds fences for a living and apparently he's the best in the area and actually had done some work for this park when it first started(way back! not the most recent work). Thank you for doing your job well and keep the park fun, clean, and safe!

Travis Coleman

2.5 hour adventure. Not all animals were out. Clean / newer park. Price was a little steep for the size of the zoo. Recommended kids age 3-12

Janet Schaffer

Great place to visit. So many animals. Zookeeoers are so friendly. They will stop and answer questions for you. They are making the zoo bigger. Wonderful place to go...

Kris Pepe

A GREAT little park. Good for all ages. Not an all day thing but great for the family to spend time together!! Wonderful information on animal conservation.

Dawn Hilker

This place is more amazing than on the cameras! It was more than I could have ever imagined! Thank you Jordan Patch for bringing a dream of yours to all of us. You made giraffe lovers out of more than just me, but my family as well. The park is beautiful! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I can't wait to visit again!

Michael Mallow

Really fun experience. Kind of small zoo but it has a lot of really cool animals. Highly recommend stopping by.

Siobhan adamkewicz

And don't like what they did so their giraffe enclosures.

Shontaye Green

Was a really nice experience seeing animals I'm not accustom to. I'm from Barbados and seeing the Barbados Blackbelly Sheep was an amazing experience I felt really proud!!

Mike F

Please please go here. The animals are well cared for. It's very clean. The staff were friendly and polite. It's on the middle of nowhere, but well with the drive.

Jim Wheeler

Nice place. Enjoyed it. More animals than I anticipated. It was fun and relaxing.

Dina Blanchard

Love the hands on. Highly recommended for families with younger kids

Cindy Lauria

Great place for all ages! So much fun interacting with so many different animal species!

Sherri Vogle

Had a great tine.. Will definitely go again...

Vikki Andersen

Best zoo experience! Well it’s smaller than a zoo, bigger than a petting zoo... Everything is pristine, people are great, and the way it is setup is very in tune with the environment. All the enclosures are framed in natural wood and everything is hands on (except the lions of course lol). Great experience overall!

Julie Dickler

Great giraffe interactions! Well maintained facility with air conditioning in the bathroom. Friendly staff! Bring cash.

LaRae Taylor

Beautiful, clean park. Our family loved feeding the animals (especially the giraffes). Just a bit of advice, bring plenty of cash. The kids loved feeding the giraffes and the giraffes eat a lot of carrots (the animal food is cash only). Well worth the three hour drive.

nsmoyer

As zoos go this was pretty nice. Lots of very helpful staff..you can buy carrots to feed giraffes! Reasonably priced food for humans ( read grandkids) too. They even have easy accessible " cub comfort" sheds to change your little humans, or breastfeed!

Kristin Personius-Dundon

Many new animals and updates! Haven't been here in a couple years, used to be small and over priced. Price is still up there but at least there are plenty of new things to see and do! The enclosures are nice and seem large enough. it appears they are continually expanding. They do kind of get you with the animal feed. Cup of feed $3 (can only feed this to the livestock type animals), 5 carrot sticks for $3 for the girrafes, grapes for the monkeys, lettuce for the tortoises. This get pricey but it's fun to feed them all.

Marni Levett

Wonderful! The staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions! Animals are well cared for. It's small, but packed with so much to see! Definitely worth the visit!

Suzanne Perlingiero

It was amazing. The staff and owners are doing a great job. Very informative. The drive was worth it.

Pam M

Such a special place. I come every summer. It's perfect for families.

Mary Weidman

It was great. The place was impeccably clean. Animals were clean and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly

Dee Culhane

I brought my 18 year old son to a sloth encounter today as his graduation present and it was amazing!! It was so much fun to pet and feed them and ruby fell asleep with food it her mouth while I rubbed her belly!! Our encounter guide was so nice and taught us so many facts about the sloths! We also had a great time touring the zoo after our encounter! It was a blast to be able to feed so many of the animals! The bucket with all the different foods was a great deal! Loved the list on the side of who could eat what! A nice way to run things! The animals all looked so happy and well cared for! Even thoughts the gift shop prices were reasonable! I could go on and on! We drove 2 and a half hours to get there and it was worth every mile and every penny for the encounter! One last shout out to our sloth encounter guide! Thank you for helping us make great memories!!

Jen Bevan

Went on a hot summer day there is no trees no shade the kids were so hot and you cant bring in outside drinks. Everything was insainly expensive and you also couldn't bring in food we had won tickets so we only needed to buy one ticket and four feed cups that was almost 30 dollars. They say you cant bring in outside drinks in bottles yet they sell the same bottles they say you cant bring for 2 dollars a piece. Once you get in you also have to spend money for every single thing your kids want to do separately feed the monkeys have to buy grapes feed the giraffe have to buy carrots feed the turtles have to buy lettuce it's such a rip off. Then to add insult to injury they make you leave the park through the gift shop. So after a day of I'm sorry kids I cant afford that you end with them wanting all the over priced goods in the gift shop and them leaving in tears because that's the only way to exit the park. I wouldn't go back even if we got free tickets again.

Rachael Bratt

Wonderful experience, meeting world famous, April the Giraffe! Very nice park; the animals are clearly well cared for and the enclosures clean (and we were there end of day on a Saturday). Thanks for all you do for animal conservation AAP!

george garcia

This is a great place to visit with kids and if you want to see and touch some exotic animals. It's like the ultimate petting zoo. If you love giraffe, they have a couple of feeding stations for them. They have lions, bears, monkeys, birds, animals from different countries. You can feed all or most of these animals too. Some animals you can't touch though like the lions, and bears.

Nubia Ingersoll

Our first visit with the grandkids - really enjoyed the trip, the animals are caged nicely with enough roaming room. The place was clean, every employee was really nice(my only complaint which was mostly our fault we got to place approx 1 1/2 hrs before closing so all eateries were closed:( but will definitely return earlier next time!

Lynda Faith

Absolutely amazing! Looking forward to any future expansions and watching this place grow! There is so much to do and see for both kids and adults! Love it!

Debbie Muenzer

Awesome place to visit ! Clean !!! Knowledgeable staff ,very friendly.... Had a great time

Robert Dinsmore

I had a blast! Love seeing all the different animals! This was my first trip there and I was very surprised at how large accessibility it was and also how nicely maintained and clean it was! So much fun seeing everyone's interactions with their new favorite friends! I will return again!

Mariena Silvestry Ramos

Place looks well cared for. Easy to navigate. Animals look healthy and happy. Great for the entire family. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.

Melissa Nelson

Absolutely fantastic park! Clean and you can tell all of the animals are very loved and well cared for! I loved that the kids could interact with many of the animals and all of the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. To make it even better, the food was suprisingly huge servings and very tasty, not what you would expect for park food. The only draw back is that they are cash only but they make that very clear on their website and Facebook page!

Heather Merrill

I love that i can feed lots of the animals. Gives you an experience you wont forget. Wide walkways and some airconditioned bathrooms. Really nice gift shop too!

Chris Greene

You can feed lots of different animals there. Kids had lots of fun.

Mitzi Wingert

Beautiful day to visit. Loved all the babies.

Calie Ritter

Went to drafts with giaraffes 2019 and had a great time! Loved the friendly staff and how clean the areas were. The animals seemed to enjoy the after hours attention they got too! If you love animals I dont think you'd be disappointed going here

Michelle Davis

Very Nice, very clean, reasonable price. Animals are very well taken care of.

Emily Jeffres

Clean, well-maintained animal park with a surprising amount of animals for its size (and rando rural location). A bit rustic as far as amenities, but clean and adequate. Very friendly staff. Appreciated the "cub houses" for baby changing and nursing.

Marilyn Deniston

Despite a rainy day, the park is Great! Staff very welcoming. Animals have access to the outside of enclosures, tho many chose the remain indoors, we were still able to see the majority of species represented. Will definitely be back ( even Hubby who generally is a one zoo/animal park visit type) on a drier day!

Carole Armor

My happy place. Wonderful people and fantastic animals. April has my heart

candis hilton

I made a trip from Hershey Pa to see April . The park was so wonderful more then I expected !! The staff was kind and very informative when I aaked questions. My phone needed to be charged and the staff allowed me to charge my phone after a near by McDonald's would not let me charge my phone !! I was very appreciative

Donna Lasorsa

This is my happy place. When I am there the weight of the world is lifted from my shoulders. The park is spotless, the staff is hard working and very respectful and always there to help. I have a zoo 20 mins from my home but I travel over 2 hours to go here. The animals are so well cared for and loved so much. The owner Jordan Patch is so welcoming and is out in the park making himself available to meet his guests. I highly recommend a visit if you havent been there yet. I love it there.

Tessa Pautler

Great park to see. Lots of different animals and you can get right up next to them. The staff all over the park are very friendly.

Katie Cutting

they have great care of all their animals and the staff is very knowledgeable on the animals

Carly Agostino

This place is AMAZING!! so many animals, also some you can feed and pet. I highly recommend if you do feed them, get the lunch box (it has everything for ALL animals). My son was so happy getting close with some of the animals. Staff is so friendly and very helpful as well as such a clean park. If you get the chance, go! It is definitely a experience you wont forget.

Jean Dunaway

10/10 was an awesome place to bring my family to visit! Lots of cool animals and was kept very clean! Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The entire park was well maintained and had a very welcoming and healthy atmosphere. The animals are all well taken care of and are thriving! I have visited many times and cannot wait for my next adventure!! I highly recommend a family outing to Animal Adventure Park!

Patricia DeMagistris

This has been my third yearly trip and the park just keeps getting better!!! The prices are extremely reasonable, the park is very clean, and the staff is amazing. One keeper was bottle feeding a baby camel today and even let my niece hold the bottle and feed the baby. The joy on her face was priceless. I will continue be at least a yearly visitor. Thank you for all that you do!!! Oh, and the otters!!! Need I say more? Lol

Hans Gieskes

Every year it's even better than the year before, what a great zoo. Baby Wallybaby being carried around by super nice caretaker. He even let our granddaughter gently pet it.

Hope Robbins

I love Animal Adventure Park. I went two years and loved it. This visit proved just as awesome. Jordon and the team have done amazing upgrades, got new exhibits and have made an awesome addition to the giraffe clan with Johari. The animals are so lovingly cared for making it the only place of this type I will visit. It also means a great deal to me that Animal Adventure is so involved in conservation. Thank you for all you do Jordon and team.

Derek Gilbert

My 5 year old loved it so much we came twice in a month. Way better than a traditional zoo.

NICOLE Smith

fun place to go with the kids, also nice the have cub station, for nursing and changing kids even older one has a nice bench instead of having to use the floor when their to heavy for the changing tables.

Jill Chmiel

Ever since I started watching April & Oliver waiting for Tajari to be born, I have become so fascinated with Giraffes. I have actually fell in love with these amazing gentle giants. Thank you Jordan and Staff! yesterday was my first visit to the park and I was in awe like a kid at Christmas. This park is Amazing, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, this park is clean and the animals are very well cared for. It was an amazing experience, I highly recommend going in person, seeing it on cam is nice but in person is just Amazing!

Nancy Rankin

What a great time. So easy to interact and potentially feed almost every animal there. Aside from the famous Giraffes, my favorites to feed were the lemurs, and monkeys. What a hoot. Can’t wait to go back. Well worth the 3 hour drive! 8/7/19 Went again over the last two days. Loved it even more!!! What a great place.

NewAge95 Live

Great place for the family plenty of animals and different species to witness and see. Hands on experience with many of the animals. Well taken care of clean and orderly. Great informative staff.

Charles behrmann

I was really impressed by this private zoo and their large animal collection. This zoo isn't about nature trails or extensive education. It has a small footprint and packs alot in there. Must see.

Jamie Grant

Fun for the whole family. Plenty to do. What a great time!

T J

To the whole team at AAP... thank you for a blessed experience with your beautiful animals! By far the best place to visit and connect with nature! Clean, friendly, and the animals are very well cared for! Thank you for bringing joy to everyone who visits ... I was bursting with love ❤️ god bless all of you and the animals ❤️❤️❤️

aldrian rostron

This was a surprisingly great experience. We had no idea that this was within two hours of home until friends from NH told us about it. It is clean and we'll maintained with nice new enclosures for a wide variety of adult and baby animals including their star baby giraffe.

Melissa Heier

My family has been there since they opened it. Seen it grow over the years.....Amazing park keeps growing! Was there today and I seen Jordan..I really wanted to say hi and thank him for his contribution to these animals and our community. But I never had the chance....so thank you

Lisa Creg

Extremely friendly staff. Great price. Great experience. Loved Loved Loved feeding all of the Giraffes and other animals! Keep up the great work guys! I would definitely drive from Michigan to visit again! ❤

Momma Marks

It's always a nice time when we come to Drafts with Giraffes... It's organized well and not at all a hassle... Even with the beer tasting... ;) My oldest daughter and I come together to this event every year... It is a time I always look forward to and a special memory for the both of us... ❤

Cathy Kovaleski

My grandchildren had a good time. We were here 2 years ago also, to me it looks like there were less animals this year. And the gift shop was definitely smaller.

Angeline Frye

It was a great day seeing all the animals. You were able to feed multiple animals, just make sure you bring money with you. Everyone was very helpful. Also of you are handicapped, nursing or have little ones, they have plenty of areas to change and use the restroom.

Susan Pacenza

This place is awesome. The staff are so helpful and all animal enclosures are kept clean and the animals are well cared for

Steven Serdula

Lots of animals! We loved the Giraffes.

Anne Hurst

I have read many of the reviews on this page. And the comments back from the owner are condiscending and down right rude. The place is over priced. To make you customers have to walk through a gift shop to leave a facility is just down right rude and ignorant. If I wish to visit a gift shop I will visit one. To be made to visit one is wrong.

David Rhodes

I never give 5 stars. Friendly staff. Decent food for reasonable prices. Clean, air conditioned bathrooms. Clean facility in general. Very happy animals. Very well maintained. A great time for adults as well as children, and then there's April and her two offspring Azizi and Taj!

Holly Roberts

So many animals. Beautiful location. You can tell there is pride of ownership with how well-kept the establishment is. The animals are obviously very well cared for and loved. Very affordable to bring a family. And who doesn't love hand-feeding and interacting with animals?

MrAscetic23

Nice zoo you can walk the whole place conveniently. Friendly staff with talks about animals every few hours. Price is fair and you can feed all the non-meat eating animals. Food costs for animals is about 3-5 dollars.

Mike Welch

Love this place. Modern enclosures allow you to get up close and personal with many of the a animals. So many on display, lions, giraffes (home of April), Monkees, otters. And many more. Must visit if in the area.

Candungo134@gmail.com Malavet

Its beariful great experience, the giraffe it's amazing

Joni Hecker

The well being of All these Beautiful Animals, are absolutely the Owners & Staff main goal....Beautiful~ Inviting Clean Place

Ashley Brier

BETTER THAT ROSS PARK. NOW HAS BABY CARE STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE PARK! For breastfeeding etc. Amazing animals and lots of fun interactive activities, such as feeding everything from giraffes to tortoises.

Nancy S

Was very pleased with our trip to Animal adventure Park. The staff were kind and friendly. They have us tips for feeding the animals. It was very clean. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded. We bought the pails of feed for each of the six year old boys we had with is and neither ran out of food. Of course we did remind them periodically the food need to last for the whole park. Parking is free. Gift shop prices weren't too bad. We would come back again. There are a couple places to ear in the park though we went out to the truck to eat lunch we had brought and came back in.

Very excellent experience!!!! Visited the park roughly 6 yrs ago, much improvement since that time. Thank you for the fantastic time.

What a wonderful hands on place. If you like animals this place was great. We did the Sloth Encounter and it was absolutely amazing. Thank you to our animal caretaker Erin for showing us everything that is Sloth. Can't wait to return!!

Fun filled afternoon. Clean. Friendly staff. Gift shop prices were a little excess. amazing to finally get to meet the giraffes i have been following for two and half years

Key Logistics

Friendly animals, very clean park. Great staff. Best part was April, Oliver, Taj, and baby Azizi the giraffes.

Jon Minnberg

Very clean and well kept. Website stated cash only, but while most of the park was that way, the entrance fee could be put on a card ($1 service fee). Suggest going early if you want to feed the animals, after a few hours the only ones still eating were the giraffes!

Jen Green

Beautifully kept, wide open spaces. Very clean and easy to get around. Feeding the giraffes was lots of fun!

Doreen Vangrinsven

We had an awesome day. It was picture perfect day. A very clean, well kept park. Nice variety of animals. Especially the giraffes, who I watch every day on my computer. I would definitely recommend bringing the family for the day. We traveled from Saratoga Springs, NY

This park is wonderful. I had a great time . Everyone is very friendly and helpful. All the animals are awesome most importantly the giraffes! Love that you can feed and pet all the animals. Also like the fact I could buy a t shirt in my size (bigger then 1x)

Deborah Deprimio

It was awesome! Would love to go back! I was very disappointed that I didn't get to meet Jordan! It still eating at me! He was doing accounting! Someone could of went and got him so I could of met him! He didn't have to stay long! But probably won't get back there! I live too far away!

Absolutely loved AAP. Park nicely laid out, lots of animals to see and feed. Extremely clean. Wonderful, super friendly staff. Saw Jordan, the owner, several times throughout the park during my visit. Animals so happy and loved, and well looked after by staff. Amazing family friendly adventure!!

Honestly one of the best experiences at a zoo I've ever had.... I highly recommend this location for people of all ages if you are an animal lover.

Cathy Warner

Fun for the whole family. Can get a bit expensive if you have many kids who want to feed the animals, but proceeds go back to feeding the animals. Giraffes were Awesome!!!

Ron Wilkinson

Plenty if parking. Staff is very friendly. Facilities are clean & well kept. Food for humans is available. Animals seem happy maybe that's because we can feed them animal food that is provided by the park, that's a lot of fun! Had a great time and will be going back.

Shawn

Nice place in the middle of nowhere. Met April the giraffe

Amazing little zoo! We got to see and feed so many animals, kids were in their glory. Highly recommend this as a family attraction. They have nice areas to tend to children, like a nursing and changing station in it's own space. The zoo is extremely clean and well laid out, easy to do the whole park in a day.

This place is completely private and for profit. It is not accredited so it doesn't answer to any accreditation board to ensure that the conditions the animals are kept in meet any minimum standards. The animals are kept in tiny enclosures. They look bored. The exception being the ones that you can buy overpriced grapes, carrots or feed for - they are constantly begging for food. They also look over fed. The animals are well fed and given veterinary care. With a small amount of room to live in, they cannot run and play like animals in a regular zoo let alone the wild. My kids liked the opportunity to feed animals, especially since back home, the zoos and fairs no longer allow that because of a few E. coli deaths and liability if an animal bites. I immediately took them to a nearby hand washing station near an outhouse which had no soap. The next one we encountered several exhibits away had no water and the third one had no soap. The one bathroom with running water before we exited had soap so my children were finally able to wash their hands. It figures - it was the one time I left the hand sanitizer in the car. Make sure you have hand sanitizer. They don't allow outside food or drinks in the park including water. (although they allow baby food, etc...) There are no water fountains in the park. If it is hot, prepare to spend $2.50 for a bottle of water. I don't think I will return. The whole park can be walked through in an hour - maybe two if you see any of the talks. The enclosures are way too small and I don't want to support keeping animals in tiny homes.

I had so much fun. It was amazing. Definitely worth the money. I also bought tons of food there to feed the animals. It was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time.

What an amazing park! Enjoyed every minute of it! Parking was no problem at all. I found admission very reasonable. Staff was knowledgeable and so very friendly. I also was amazed at how clean the park was. This was my first time visiting and I couldn't have been more impressed. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Vic Hopper

What a hidden gem!! Great staff and owners, Beautiful surroundings! Its really a great outing for any age!

Chelie Hamblin

This park is amazing! I was there with my family yesterday July 11th 2019 for the first time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all questions. It was very clean and exhibits were great! Family oriented and great learning experience for all who want to learn about the conservation of animals. Will be coming back for sure! Great job AAP!

HotAngel Fire

A calming peaceful place. Animals are waiting on us to interact with them. Staff is very friendly. Everything is thoroughly clean. Great atmosphere. Lovely scenery.

Walter Smith

This attraction is an unexpected pleasure in the hills around Harpursville, NY. They have five giraffes including the world-famous April and well as two of the world's very rare white lions. The keepers are quite knowledgeable and many of the animals are very friendly and can be hand-fed and petted by visitors, such as the baby camel, baby bison, alpacas, goats and such. All the animals appear to be well cared for and healthy and really seem to have a good relationship with the staff.

Jerusa Schmidt Williams

It was a hot day, but the whole family had a great time together, seeing many animals, we never saw before.

RJ

This place was a lot bigger and nicer than I had anticipated. It is a great display of animals just off the beaten path.

Dave Noe

Had a great time at the drafts with giraffes. Very clean, well organized. Only downside was only one food truck. 25 minutes for a sandwich, not cool. Eat before you go!!

Patty Juday

We LOVED Animal Adventure Park! My daughter and I drove 10 hours from Indiana (only Indiana? as Jordan said) and couldn't have been happier with our experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I loved the keeper talks. The park is just beautiful! We loved it so much we went back the next day. I wish I lived closer, I would visit more often.

Victor Boyko

Train rides too pricey in my opinion but otherwise it's ok. I would say food is good and more fresh than at the zoo. They have grilled spedie subs too.

Daria Wilson

Awesome place! Love it there! Today was my third visit!

Donna Warrick

Nice place. Cash only. Carrots, celery, grapes, lettuce, feed, all cost extra. No food from home allowed. 6 year old grandson LOVED IT! Well maintained. Will probably return again.

Jessica Woo

Love love loved it!!! I went here with my husband and 8 month old. We had such a wonderful time! You get to feed basically EVERYTHING! Staff is friendly!! Everything looks so clean! You walk on pavement so there’s no gravel to ruin your strollers. There is even a little building that you can go into to change or feed your baby. It has AC and the door can be locked. The bathrooms, some large outhouses and a walk in trailer with toilets, but very clean! The only downside was that you aren’t aloud to bring your own food or drink in, but if you do get food there it is very inexpensive! I will definitely be back this year again to bring my parents along. Please do go here! You won’t regret it! P.S. You are aloud to renter, so if you really wanted to, you could pack a lunch and eat in the car, then head back into the Zoo.

Loren Perricone-Israel

It is a nice park! It was nice to meet the famous giraffes! They have done alot of work to expand the park from when I went many years ago! The only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is how pricey the gift shop is and how the food to feed the animals is not included in the price and you have to continue to keep buying it to feed giraffes. That is a little much! Otherwise I recommend it! Nice outing to take kids or even to go as adults!

Tabitha Welch

Really loved it. Not nearly enough shade anywhere though. The concessions are also very overpriced. We loved getting up close to the animals though!

Brii Camacho

This place was amazing!!! So interactive and wonderful learning experience!

Jennifer Stevens

This zoo was very clean. The animals were friendly and seem well-cared for. I wish there were more trees because it was very sunny and hot the day we visited and there was very little shade. The whole place is on a hillside, which was very difficult for one of us who uses a walker and has balance issues. (They do have wheelchairs for rent, but he's stubborn.) The walkways are paved, so you can use a wheelchair or walker, but if you have trouble with hills, you will have difficulty.

Haydee Correa

Great experience.... wonderfully close interactions with the animals.

love kitties

I love this park so much! My favorite place. I love the new lion exhibit! And the giraffes! Love to see them, feed them and interact with them. Keep up the great work!!
