Great place to take kids. Cheap too. To all of you that think the owners don't take care of the animals, that's soooo untrue!!! I did NOT see any animals that were thin or "scraggly" looking. What I did see was some of the animals were SHEDDING their fur, which is normal. Why don't you VOLUNTEER your time to help clean cages or groom some of the animals. Help make this world a better place instead of tearing people down who are trying to make an honest living!!

Had a wonderful time with grand-daughter. The people are super friendly and the animals are well taken care of. Will visit again!

Great people that work with these animals

Would be better if the enclosures where larger and the animals were fed properly

We just enjoyed a wonderful visit with Pam and all of the gorgeous animals at the zoo. Pam and her husband have a great set-up and the animals looked very happy and well-cared for. Pam walked with us and gave us a lot of information about the animals. You can tell she's very knowledgeable and loves her animals. She told us the background of each animal and how she raised some their entire lives. Our 9 month old had a great pony ride on Princess. This is the 2nd time we've been to the zoo. We had a wonderful experience both times and will definitely visit again!

This place is awesome, you see the animals so super close compared to a big zoo. Plus there's no crowds here, just you and the animals. :)

Atrocious conditions.

This place provides substandard care to their animals and they know it. But they are not the ones to be upset with, it is because of the fault of Congress and the USDA that they are able to keep renewing their license.

Belinda Bowes

Disgusting place. Animals live in horrendous conditions.

I don't doubt that the owners love animals but I think at some point it got to be too much to handle. It is interesting to see all the animals, but we saw open sores, matted eyes, growths on some. The treats for purchase appeared to be dog food and the animals were ready and waiting for them! The reptile cages are so dirty you can hardly view them. The horses, sheep and coyotes looked very, very thin. All animals fur matted and missing large chunks of fur. Owners maintain the grounds so you can get through viewing area, but I hope the animals get to experience a better habitat some day.

I love this zoo. My family and I go every year. I get to hold the babies and play with the raccoons. This family loves their animals and none if them are abused. They are fed and cared for. I am so sad that they list their lions and tigers. These animals were hand raised and they had to be very confused when taken from the only family thay knew. And what happens to them BUT they get put in ANOTHER CAGE!!! Are they getting taken care of??? Is the organization who took them from the only home they knew, Making sure these animals are being taken care of in s better manner than they thought the zoo was doing!!! I understand shutting down road side zoos but only those who have animals that are suffering from abuse, Starving, and being kept in filthy cages and made to do dumb tricks to earn their keep. Leave this zoo alone!!

This is the greatest zoo experience ever. The variety of animals and reptiles rivals any zoo anywhere. All the animals are healthy, the owners obviously do this out of love, not for money. I love this place!

Recently my family went to Cricket Hollow Animal Park & Fantasy Garden and while some of the exhibits were nice the majority of them made me feel terrible to be a human being. Most of the animals are in small cages that are filthy and loaded with flies. Mud, feces and flies is the majority of what you will see in the exhibits. This is a public health issue. It needs to be addressed and someone needs to shut down the facility altogether. But the problem does not stop there. It is obvious that the individuals running the facility," if that's what you would call it", will just attempt to keep the animals without them being exhibited. Of course the less people that go there the less money coming in and the more the animals will suffer. It's inhumane, it's cruel and worst of all no one and I mean no one is doing anything about it. SHUT THIS FACILITY DOWN, before someone gets hurt either by a wild animal or from some kind of infection. Even the domestic animals there are living in deplorable conditions. If you truly want to be part of something good, do what you can to visit this facility so that you can see first hand why this place needs to be shut down. Tell a politician, a newspaper or anyone who has the authority to shut this place down and end the animal suffering. To give you an idea, I'm a hunter and I never want to see animals suffer the way they do in this place. It's flat out inhumane

Ok place to visit. They need to hire some workers to help with the up keep. They need to find a way to keep the flies down, never seen so many flies b4

Owner's friendly and it was a very inexpensive trip with the kids. The pony ride with Princess was great for my littlest one. Enjoyed seeing all of the animals. Great place to take the family!

0 stars. Sorry not sorry this was the saddest thing i have seen! The animals are kept in cages literally dog cages that are WAY TO SMALL they all look sick and sad. NOT ONE ANIMAL had water and when we got twords the end where the goats and camel are there was a dead sheep laying in the sheep pin rotting. Saddest and worst experience i wouldn't recommend to go to anyone besides people that want to volunteer to go help take care of them.

My family and I loved this place! Bigger then we expected when we pulled up! The kids had soo much fun! Our favorite were the bears!

Emmy Treanor

We went over the summer. I was really thrown off when we pulled up. First we noticed the dogs in a cage that had at least a weeks worth of feces in the cage. Then we saw the lamas one was covered in barb wire. When we told the owner he said what do you want me to do about it. Not one animal had water in its enclosure. None of them had anything to play with or stimulate them. We decided to go off the reviews but it must not be the same zoo. The ducks water was green and gross which takes awhile for that to happen. The indoor tanks were all full of green stuff all over the sides of the tank. Things are not clean or healthy for people let alone the animals. Many of the animals are kept in way to small of an area. It could use major improvements. I understand they may be understaffed but then they should not kept animals if they cannot take care of them properly. This almost seems like a back yard breeder type situation. I just cant believe the charge and it seems like the income inst going back into care for the animals.

Brenda Music

I love going there. They are not a big fancy zoo.they are a farm zoo. But their animals are well cared for and loved.

SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.

Great family fun or just to come and spend sometime with the animals my kids loved the pony rides and all the animals Cricket hollow has to offer.

Great, affordable place to take the kids and grandkids. Owners are friendly and knowledgeable.

I go to Cricket Hollow every chance I get. The animals are all so beautiful. Where else around this area can you get that close to animals that aren't from around here. The owner Pam Sellner truly loves every one of her animals and loves sharing her extensive knowledge of the animals. They also have Reptile Day once every year, you can hold a number of reptiles and animals and get your picture taken with them. I highly recommend you attend one of those. Nomid the wolf is my favorite animal there.

Tabi Gardner

We loved it

Honestly I was very excited to come to this Animal Park, but now I can't stop thinking about the poor animals. My group went into the house with all the reptiles and fish first. It smelled like pneumonia and I couldn't handle being in there very long. Also we found a huge frog that was dead in one of the tanks. Once we walked around outside where all the caged animals were, that's when my eyes really started to see the 'abuse' all the other google reviews were warning us about. All the animals are in too small of cages or there are to many of them in one cage. All cages were disgusting. That goes from the tanks inside the house, to the camel, to the birds and every single 'habitat'. Also what makes me more aggravated, there is a area with a trail with absolutely NOTHING, but animal statues and they could be using that space for their animals. Most of these animals act and appear as if they are starving. A couple animals looked like they were recently injured, so we act upon that and let the 'zookeeper' know about the animals injuries. There were Flys everywhere. You could not stand in one spot for more than a minute before a FLY will bite you. The last thing that I want to talk about and considering it was the last thing we found disturbing. We went to see the rabbit's outside of the 'petting zoo' and there was a dead rabbit. I felt bad for the other rabbit because the dead rabbit was blocking the door to get in and out for food and water. We mention the dead rabbit to her (the zookeeper) and she KNEW about it, but there were some customers that showed up early so she put the dead rabbit BACK in there. Excuse me but.. what the heck lady. I'm sure she has good intentions for these animals, but I don't think she has the money or enough help. After I left this place so unhappy, I really want to shut this place down! #ForTheAnimals

You get to get nice and close the animals

Disgusting. This place needs to be shut down permanently.

Kris B

My kids and I go to this zoo a couple times a year. it is always a great time. Friendly staff!

Paul Haag

We were conflicted, nice place to take kids to see many animals but the place is not well maintained and some animals do not look in the best condition.

KimberlyWhateverVids

I wish you could feed the monkeys better, the big one takes everything when I try to give some to the little ones. I love most of the animals there, I could go on about how I adore the birds and gunie pigs etc. One donkey is rude because it won't let me feed the second, pretty donkey. I feel sorry for their cat that got in a fight with a stray. You can buy buckets of food to feed the animals, there's a pony, SCREAMING Geese, little birds, lovely bears, barking dogs, cows and horses and MUCH MORE!

The Grandstaff Show

Super friendly and accommodating staff. I think they even gave my kids free horse rides. There are lots of animals, some of which come right up to you and interact directly. Wish PETA hadn't taken away some of their better exhibits, but I can sort of understand why (I said sort of, folks). Some of their animals aren't well kept, but that's how it goes when you're a rather large farm with only two individuals taking care of everything. They could use some volunteers for sure, or simply more land. The horses let us feed them though, which thrilled the kids. We left wanting to donate money to keep the place going. We will definitely be back. The community needs more places like this.

John Mikelson

Sad little place. Animals are not in habitats
