Here you will be able to see all the opinions of people who purchase the products of Kentucky Reptile Zoo (Zoo) near Indiana.
Right now this business receives a score of 4.6 over 5 and that rating was based on 160 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is nearly the top, and it is founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the valuation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their opinion when they are pleased with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to give feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Zoo.
Pretty fun little roadside attraction! Sad we missed the times for watching venom collection! They have an interesting collection for sure. Don't think of your typical zoo or you may be disappointed. This is a fairly small operation, but the cost was fair and the guide was knowledgeable.
They had a lot to offer for how small of a place it truly was. They gave you pretty in depth information and actually told you what you were seeing instead of "oh, it's a snake. How nice ". The animals were very well taken care of and they cleaned the cages regularly. It was also extremely clean and an attractive display.
If you love reptiles or just want to learn more, you will enjoy the tour and the knowledgeable guides. If you time it right, you can witness the handler mailing the venom and it is truly a show.

Will go back in August
Staff was very knowledgeable about the animals on hand and was very accomadating for our group of 12
Wonderful, highly recommended! Super friendly expert staff, and the snakes are amazing. Go!
Eh, it was so so. They had a nice variety of snakes but the establishment is really lacking.
Such a cool place! We really enjoyed seeing all the snakes and reptiles. We were especially fond of Jellybean, the little alligator.
Very interesting to see them "milk" the Cobras.
Really cool but short
Amazing experience! My guide was very knowledgeable.
We were in town for hiking and camping at the Natural Bridge park. We took our 4 and 6 year old girls, not really sure what to expect. The facility exceeded our expectations for sure. It has a strong science and conservation vibe, and all of the staff were very polite, well-spoken, and smart. The facility has over 1000 snakes, but most of them are not on display. The ones that are on display are in artful enclosures grouped into buildings according to their natural habitat. In the North America exhibit we were able to see the rare creatures like rattlesnakes, copperheads, and a cottonmouth. With years of outdoor adventures in the southeastern US, I've never seen most of these in the wild. Our guide for most of the tour was a young lady named Carson, and she was fantastic. Thinking from the role model perspective, I love it any time our young girls are able to see a confident and knowledgeable leader who also happens to be female. We spent about 2 hours, which included seeing the venom extraction demonstrations. The cost of admission was more than I expected, but afterwards we felt like we had received value that exceeded the cost.
Very educational with small group guided tours.
Awesome collection, very informative guide! Come back at 5 for hands on talk about one of their reptiles

Really informative and lots of snakes!
They were not open during posted open hours.
True to its mission. Great experience! Shout out to Ezra, our tour guide. Thank you.
Really fun experience. Watching man drain venom from snakes by hand was interesting.
Great place,great staff
I've wanted to visit this place for YEARS. We went around Thanksgiving so there wasn't a milking happening but the intern who gave us the tour was awesome and answered all our questions. The whole tour took maybe 30 minutes tops, but it was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Highly recommend!!!
Enjoyed our tour. Knowledgeable staff, and an amazing selection. Call ahead to arrange a tour. Rates are very inexpensive. Loved seeing the cobras!
This was a fun little cheap thing to do while visiting Kentucky. Although if you want a little cheaper tickets, look on Groupon ;) This place isnt hard to find a all, I just wish the signs were a little bigger and more obvious maybe. Upon arrival you pull up to a little shed but, don't be fooled!! This "little shed" is where you check in and can purchase tickets or suiveniers. Once you check in, you walk outside again and a tour guide meets you and take you into multiple little buildings to see the snakes on display and educates you of them. It was neat! One thing I did not like about this was that, it was not a private tour. Another family joined up in the middle of our tour. But besides that,10/10!
The interns were very knowledgeable but this place was extremely tiny. Toured three tiny shacks and an alligator. I would not recommend. Save your time and money for a better exhibit.
If you love reptiles or just want to learn more, you will enjoy the tour and the knowledgeable guides. If you time it right, you can witness the handler mailing the venom and it is truly a show.
Little only mainly snakes. One alligator and some turtles. The place is really small for the money.
Very interesting place to visit, got to see venom extraction as well. Would definitely recommend a visit
Knowledgeable staff and it was fun looking at the animals. It was more of a hobby farm than a zoo. It's mostly snakes and a few turtles, an alligator, and a couple lizards. The live venom extraction was interesting to see but it would have been fun to be able to handle a non-vemonous snake.
Great place to visit while in the Red River Gorge. Each group is given a tour guide which is usually a student that is very knowledgeable. Our family has been twice and the number of snakes is unbelievable.
Rachal was a wonder tour guide! Very knowledgeable about reptiles.
This place is really awesome! Coming back from a family reunion with my nephew we saw this place and had to stop by. My nephew had such a great time.
Lots of fun. Kids loved it.
Really interesting, so educational.
Cute lil place to take kids...thought price was a lil steep cost me 50$ FOR 2 ADULTS AND 2 KIDS paid for alligator photo that I thought they would supply the picture since I paid 7$ but nope...lol I had to use my phone to. All in all thou the kids enjoyed the 30 min tour and that's all that mattered to me!!
One of the most diverse collection venomous snakes in the world. Great staff, great animals, and for a great cause! This place is a must visit.
A very fascinating place, over 70 species of venomous snakes, make sure you arrive to see the Venom extraction normally at 1
Very run down. Seems as if they were running a junkyard around the exhibits.
Staff was very friendly, and very knowledgeable. The wrangler was very cautious and aware of each and every species handled. Plus the wrangler's back story leading up to his profession was very exciting. Easy 5 stars
So cool!
Lots of really cool snakes staff is great very knowledgeable. Must visit.

Great for boys
Found this gem. It was a great place for a family with kids that love snakes.
If you love reptiles, then you'd be hard pressed to find anything cooler than seeing Jim Harrison extracting venom from the most venomous snakes in the world!!
Knowledgeable guide
One of the largest collections of poisonous snakes in the US. What's not to love?
Great place to visit while in the Red River Gorge. Each group is given a tour guide which is usually a student that is very knowledgeable. Our family has been twice and the number of snakes is unbelievable.
Very interesting and informative.
Love it
Really neat place.
Nice reptiles. The staffs are friendly!
Amazing collection of venemous snakes. Could use some structure to their tours, but guides were pleasant.
Our Guide was great & wonderful
They have a lot of snakes. Some were very active. The black mamba was my favorite

Kids had so much fun and u learn a lot n don't cost a lot
Awesome place to visit. Great collection of reptiles! What a hidden little gem
Lot's of snakes in cage's, one alligator in a pin, you don't get to hold any, not worth the price if you want my option. Something to see but for my family of 4, 2adults and 2 kids it was $36 to get in, and the tour was only about 30mins. A little high to me.
My youngest son has chosen the Burmese python this year. Kentucky Reptile Zoo has been excellent in educated how these amazing creatures help us and our world.
Awesome knowledgeable staff and first class display of unique reptiles
Watching the venom extraction is awesome!!!!! There are numerous types of reptiles and the staff is very knowledgeable!
We thoroughly enjoy coming here!
Really interesting place, was fun watching the venom extraction and being able to ask questions.
Very interesting, had a lot of variety of snakes and a few lizards and turtles. Our guide hadn't been there long but he was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Not huge, but lots of reptiles. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll be back!
Crazy good venomous snake exhibit
They have a very large snake collection. Most all are venomous. I think they have every species of cobra. They have some beautiful snakes I've never in other exhibits and the guide I had was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves snakes!!
Loved seeing the different animals. They give you a tour guide who goes around with you and tells you about the animals.
We loved it. We're reptile people to start with, so it was great!
It was worth a visit. Not a commercialized zoo.
Great Facility Always a good time stopping here
Great Tour! Tots of poisonous snakes, even held a baby alligator! Super informative guide Bethany was awesome! Great place to learn about reptiles! If you like snakes, this is the place for you!!
Was disappointed that we didn't get to see any alligators or see venom being extracted.
Very interesting
huge collection of venomous reptiles from all over the globe. This is a venom production facility first, private zoo second. Tour is among multiple small buildings.
First time there it was okay.
It was the koolest
Staff is very knowledgeable. Our kids really enjoyed it.
They have got very good number of snakes (including mambas) and turtles too. There was one alligator. We almost reached there at closing time but the guy was very patient and explained us everything there..
Amazing selection of reptiles and very knowledgeable tour guides. The only thing keeping me from giving a five star rating is the conditions of a few of the snakes. The Burmese python was dehydrated, and a few other snakes, including the reticulated python, were noticeably overweight. Nothing major and my visit was overall a nice experience.
This is one of the most extensive reptile collections I have ever seen in one place. The work that they do with venous snakes alone is truly amazing and benefits so many people all over the world. Our tour guide was a college intern that is studying the physiological adaptation and evolution of various venomous species. The facility really is a multifaceted and greatly beneficial place to take the whole family to learn about creatures that are mostly misunderstood. My wife and I will be donating and visit often.
Great attraction! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also collect snake venom which is passed along for medical research, so it's not just an exhibit.
Amazing. The tour guide was fantastic, not some high school kid: a real biologist who was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. I didn't see her speak parseltongue, but I wouldn't have been at all surprised. The collection of reptiles was extensive: There were some very beautiful snakes, many of which I'd never ever heard of before. I had no idea there were so many kinds of cobras, or mambas.
Rachel was very rude! She screamed at my child so loud that he almost cried an was ready to leave, for trin to touch a turtle that he wasn't told not one time that he wasn't spose to touch. She could easy told him nicely bud plz DNT touch the animals. We will never be back an would not recommend this place cause of her!
Great place to take your family

Guide was very knowledgeable about the reptiles on display. Extremely friendly staff. We had an awesome time!
Staff is friendly, my kids love it and it's close to so many other sites in the gorge that it is A MUST see!
Awesome place and our guide Caelyn was really passionate and knowledgeable about every animal there! Highly reccomend checking this place out!!!
Small operation, but very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I definitely recommend visiting.
Really cool got to watch them milking copperheads.
Great Zoo! Best tour!
It is done by a tour guide that is seem to be very knowledgeable of different animals here
Great place to visit when in the Natural Bridge area
If you are a snake/reptile lover this is the place for you. All kinds of venomous snakes and local ones too such as copperheads and timber rattlers. The anacondas were enourmous. Make sure you go for the show. They brought out a baby alligator and gave an informative talk. They also have turtles, and a few lizards as well as a large 6 ft alligator named Wonka. The price is 10 dollars and the guided tour last from 45 min to an hour. Lots and lots of snakes in enclosed places. Enjoy!
Amazing! So glad our family decided to visit some of the nicest people that I’ve ever met
more snakes than you could ever want. Very informative and the staff are all very knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you may have.
Good local zoo, knowlegedable young staff, very interactive with young people.

Love the reptile zoo. They get a little over chatty at the exhibits which slows the viewing down, and the last time I was there they had several of the animals missing for different reasons. But overall it was not a bad experience. I've been there several times and we always leave satisfied.
The venom extraction was the best part, the tour was very short I wish it would have been longer but it was pretty cool
Looking at snakes behind glass learning about them is much better than face to face and descovering them sorta speaking....lol
This place is awesome
Great collection. of snakes and other reptiles. Knowledgeable and friendly expert staff.
Very informative and interesting. Friendly staff.
Cool experience.
When the kids say it was worth the 3 hour drive it must be awesome! Glad we took an umbrella, you are outside while watching the milking, and walking to the diffrent snake houses. The Gaboon Viper was the reason I planned the trip, everything else was a bonus. The guide we had was awesome, she was able to answer all the question myself and all the kids had.
Friendly people and wide variety of amazing snakes. Also, they have other reptiles to show off including alligators you can hold!
One of our absolute favorite places in the area ran by two of the coolest folks we know!
So it’s a little sketch driving up but seriously this place is rad! It’s not super expensive and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A lot of interesting reptiles! Definitely go check it out!!
Super coooooolll
A really fun activity for everyone, but the tour is shorter than anticipated. The snake milking is really informative, and we loved asking all sorts of questions. We used a Groupon 2-for-1, which made it a really good deal.
They have an incredible array of venomous snakes from around the world. The staff is quite knowledgeable and took the time to answer my children's questions.
Good people, and great teachers
