REVIEWS OF Indian Creek Zoo IN Indiana

The zoo had a great variety of animals BUT there is no enrichment or activities for the animals. They just sit in there cages and there are several animals (the bears in particular) that are in cages that are WAY TOO SMALL for them. If you are going to do a zoo you need to do it right keep what is best for the animals in mind. Parts of this zoo made me sad I don’t see me going back.

Angela Ramsey

Cute small zoo. Unique animals.

Pam Schoen

My grandsons goved this place! We will be going again. A secret gem.

Stephanie Roosa

We love coming to this zoo - it is a lot smaller than your average zoo, but I take that as a positive because it's not a huge trip that takes up a portion of your day. They have quite a selection of animals - zebras, giraffes, monkeys, wolves, hawks, etc. We love this zoo because it's affordable and more interactive. You can purchase a cup of carrots to feed certain animals for $3 each, it's often overfilled so I'd say it's a good deal. We saw someone training the lemurs on our visit today and she was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from her. Overall, great trip for the price, in the middle of nowhere.

barb badyna

What a gem tucked away here. Well worth it!

Michelle Martinez

They are constantly making things better. Now there's a sidewalk wide enough for people to still go both directions.

lethallugnut

Great little zoo to visit with family. Nice selection of animals.

Connie West

Seeing the animals up close was a real experience I can't wait to repeat. So many from different continents and areas of the world. A wonderful way to spend the day!

Angel Marie

Even on a rainy day, the animals are adorable.

Jon Wilkerson

Get place for a family field trip or just top walk around and enjoy nature.

Tara Gust

Very family friendly! Definitely going back!

Jen Turkovich

I went to this zoo for the sloth encounter. I really liked that they offered reasonable prices. It was a unique setting and a nice variety of animals. It seemed to be under construction so I plan on visiting next summer to see the new exhibits.

Kendall Sweet

Small zoo nice day trip. Super nice folks

Rachel Knicker

Fun day at the zoo. Glad they're making a bigger enclosure for the bears. Needs more safety rails by the streams. A little scary with so many little kids around. Friendly staff.

I am disappointed in this zoo. My real disappointment began in the ticketing area. There was a sickly sweet odor that I was having trouble placing. It concerned me because the room was full of toys and food for children. I was told later that it was because of some goat cheese that was on sale but it seemed to be emanating from the reptile exhibits which were placed in the walls immediately facing on the ticketing area where the food and toys previously mentioned are. Yuck! When I got outside the first thing I saw was the chicken coop. The birds seemed to be in good shape. They were quite large. There were two guinea fowl in the coop. There were two unclaimed eggs that appeared to have been there for a couple of days at least. The coop itself appeared to be showing its age. There was accumulated detritus from the trees above weighing down the top screen. Nearby was a pig exhibit. The shelters for the pigs are very small. The one I saw was exactly the size of the pig. I believe it was some sort of a boar. I couldn’t tell. It didn’t exit its house and the exhibit was closed. Further along was a large cage with two small monkeys in it. Obviously not from the area they appeared a little on the exposed side. The cage was uninteresting and barren. I didn’t see any fresh fruit in the cage though there appeared to be some food in there. Around the corner were some other monkeys. They were unlabeled. They were isolated in separate cages. They looked forlorn. The cages were barren and uninteresting. They were exposed to the elements. There was a cage with two small baby black bears in it. No mother. They were taking turns tearing up a piece of black cloth they had pulled off the top of the cage. One of them busied itself chewing on the straw on top of its bamboo ‘shelter’. The cage was stark and small especially for two bear cubs. Next was the caribou enclosure. One male was moving around the pen aggressively. The other caribou sat in the small lean-to in the back. The enclosure is small, poorly drained and devoid of greenery. There was no fresh, dry feed. Further along we came to an enclosure with wallabies. There were two albino wallabies. One of them appeared to have some sort of eye infection. Two others seemed to have trouble with their eyes. The lot was somewhat spacious but had only one manger. It was poorly drained and smelled. They have a small herd of tortoises. They were moving about. The compound was generally dry but it smelled. There didn’t seem to be any fresh feed and the water was questionable as little as there was. The area was denuded of greenery. They have a small flock of alpaca. At least one of them appeared to be wildly hungry. The others appeared to be slim. They had recently been sheared by they certainly didn’t appear up to an optimum weight. In the Zebra cage there was a Zedonk – a cross between a Zebra and a Donkey, a female Zebra that appeared to be in the early stages of pregnancy and a Zebra colt. There didn’t appear to be a male so I am hard pressed to imagine what’s going on there. They have a ‘Zebra Feeding Slide’ which is a rubber tire cut in half and nailed to a board. You slide pieces of carrot down the slide where it lands between the steel cage and a concrete pad. The animals need to dig it out with their hooves or pull it out with their lips. There is a large nail sticking out of the end of the slide where little hands might be. The paddock was uninteresting poorly drained. The giraffe paddock was also poorly drained. They have one Timberwolf. It paces back and forth without cessation. The enclosure is heavily wooded and brushed but uninteresting. The wolf has worn two tracks. The bison enclosure was filthy and poorly drained. It had a heavy stench. Along with these items park staff were roaring around in large carts. The sounds of screeching wheels coming a stop or turning were common. Be wary with children and the elderly if you decided to go to this place.

It was really nice! Everyone was so nice!

Barb Cilley

Awesome ti.e and great place to spend an afternoon

Nadile Sanpow

About an hour of fun fantastic for taking the grandchildren

Tammy Kieselat

My husband took me for my birthday. I have never been here. It was very sweet of my husband because he knows I love to go to the zoo. I was pretty disappointed with how the animals were kept. They were all filthy and their living areas were even worse. It was 85 degrees the day we went and I saw a bunch of empty water bowls. Their pens were nothing but dirt and mud, no grass anywhere. I saw a goat sticking his head through the fence to reach for some fresh grass so I started pulling the grass up and feeding him. My husband almost stepped into an ankle buster because they have gophers running around the zoo that are digging very large holes. They were cute but I would think the zoo would want to fill the holes in that are in the walking path of customers.

Jim Brunt

Great place to visit, have Birthday parties and your children will love it. Adults love it as well

Traveling our beautiful Earth McNally

Such a cute place. I loved hanging with all the animals.

Marjie Smith

Awesome! Great for families of all ages! Event today was great!

ree G

This is a great place to take your little ones. I had a party there for my 5 year old autistic son and there were heavy thunderstorms on and off and they helped us still have a wonderful party and we are forvever thankful..

Dan McConaughy

Animals deserve FAR more room and are in very small cages....

Amanda Corser

Not very large but nice :) kids had a great time!

Francis Montry

Fun little Zoo. The owners take real good care of their animals. Slight issue is their parking is limited.

Faith Ritchie

My family and I went to Indian Creek Zoo on Saturday. I definitely wasn't disappointed. It was up close and personal, and decently taken care of, which is hard when it comes to animals! The giraffe was AMAZING, and I really enjoyed feeding and seeing other animals. I've worked with animals for years and only want the best for all of God's beautiful creatures. It was really nice to see someone with the same intentions! I do wish that there were a few more signs about animals, but I do understand they're still building and getting better. I would definitely recommend this place!

Arlene Steinhilb

Great afternoon! Granddaughter loved feeding and petting the animals!

Hayley Emmons

We had an amazing time at this zoo. We did the private sloth encounter- which was incredible. We fed them and got to pet one (no holding the sloths as it's a stressor). We ran into Joe - an owner - and he invited us to an an impromptu feeding with Puzzles the giraffe (who will eat carrots out of your mouth). It was a beautiful, private zoo. Over 300 species of animals - many of them were very active (the baby black bear was hilarious). Of the 41 acres they own, only 13 or 14 are developed, so we're excited to see how this zoo develops. Very clean, nice facilities and gift shop....highly recommended.

Bradley Recon Vaughn

It might be small but it's one of the best zoos I've ever been to and Incredible time

alexander papow

Nice place to take the little ones. The wife, granddaughter, and nieces loved it. They got to feed some animals, got to pet others. It was pretty clean although there was se construction debris and some cut down trees that could've been cleared up some.

Monica Fowler

This zoo is a wonderful option for all ages! The staff and volunteers are all very friendly. They have a good variety of animals and experiences as well! The new train is a great touch for young kids!

Jackie Swyers

Our family loves going to Indian creek zoo, we've gotten a membership ever since they opened and enjoyed all the expansion they have added. We are excited that our kids will grow up while experiencing Indian creek zoo growing with them. We have never been disappointed and the owner is great to talk to. See you next visit.

Benjamin J Nichols

This place was a pleasant surprise! Far more exhibits than we expected and the fact that we could feed and pet several animals made my 3 year old ecstatic. A little pricey for a one time family visit, but the annual pass was very reasonable so we got that, as we intend to return multiple times throughout the year.

Marnie DeWulf

Lots of beautiful animals on beautiful property, cared for extremely well

Wm. Joseph Eyler

A fun place with lots of cool animals. Perfect for family with very young kids

DelAnna Coffman

We had an encounter with a bobcat and one with the sloth. It was the best! There was two baby bears there, too cute! Baby zebra, baby camel, baby wallabies and baby goats. Baby heaven!!!

Joshua Frederick

Great place to visit. Small but worth it.

Joseph Jones

Went for the first time today and enjoyed myself, I can tell they are doing alot of improvements and expanding. Can't wait to see where it heads over the next few years and plan to keep visiting to find out. It's a solid little zoo with alot of potential.

Larry Smith

Small but fun. You get a good look at all the animals. They allow you to get close so close I was amazed. Like two fences and a few feet between you and the king of the jungle. Take the kids they'll love it.

Sharleen Miller

Fun place nearby.

Deborah Laviolette

We took are 8 yr old great niece there on December 28th, even she wasn't too impressed. Had to walk through very muddy paths, not many animals to see. Not sure where they were all being kept, no one around outside to ask any questions we may have had. Very poorly kept, wouldn't recommend it to family or friends. Wasn't worth the money!!!!

Tom Macaulay

My wife and I took our two adorable grandchildren( 3.5 and 2 y/o)here for the third time in their short lives. This is a "low-key" place... with fewer visitors than Detroit, Toledo, Binder or Potter Park. While it has fewer animals than the larger places, it has a more cozy or intimate feel to it as well. There are also a nice variety of animals. Being spring, we saw a number of baby animals (camel, zebra, bunnies and goats to name a few). It seems every time we visit, a few more exhibits are added. Nice touch. We'll be back again.

Lisa Murray

Great place to take the kids and get up close and personal with the animals.

terry marckel

Awesome Zoo love this place had a Great Time there.

Douglas Denno

Love it!! Great for kids and parents too.

Brandon Coots

Great fun for family. Very interactive

Kirk Huebner

First time there and it was great getting to feed some of the animals. Much more interactive the our local zoo.

Stacy H

Our family had a wonderful day at this zoo. We booked tickets for the sloth encounter and were given an up close opportunity to feed and pet the sloths. Dave is a very kind host and made our day great. We definitely recommend visiting!

Tamara Swicegood

They've done so much to improve what they offer in the last few years, the place has really expanded and has some nice upgrades to the grounds. The animals all looked well cared for with clean living spaces. You can get much more interaction here than at the Toledo Zoo in my opinion. The dog that monitors the ducks at the pond was laid back and friendly, and he kept those ducks where they're supposed to be!

Megan Langford

I brought my daughter here because she loves animals. She really enjoyed feeding carrots to so many animals (goats, bunnies, cows, pigs, tortoises, zebras, and alpacas) and being so much closer to the animals than she could at either the Detroit or Toledo Zoo. My only complaint was that some of the monkeys needed a few more enrichment activities.

Spencer Johnson

Had a wonderful time at this zoo. As many other reviews state, the zoo has a lot of variety, and has a smaller feel that lets you get up close with the animals. I would imagine those commenting about the conditions of the enclosures don't know a lot about animal care, and the animals all seemed happy and playful. All of the staff were courteous, and the place seems to always be growing. Definitely worth a visit!

Christopher Ford

If you think of it as a zoo, you might be disappointed. Think of it as a petting farm and you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Beth Hensley

So much fun! The kids can get an up close look at the animals!

Echo Klein

Terrible living conditions for the animals. It's just a cheap zoo for cheap parents to bring their kids to

Bryon Weise

My grandson loved how close the animals are

Amy Milios-Knieper

Cute little zoo but the woman selling tickets today managed to be both spacey and surly.

Stacy H

Our family had a wonderful day at this zoo. We booked tickets for the sloth encounter and were given an up close opportunity to feed and pet the sloths. Dave is a very kind host and made our day great. We definitely recommend visiting!

Lindsey Diroff

Nice zoo for small kid especially! Small enough so they can run but enough variety to keep things interesting! Plus they can feed the animals! Love that!

Kevin Crater

Great little zoo, not crazy busy and can get close to animals, A+

Allan Perchard

My daughter had a field trip here and the Zoo was great they have a good variety for a local Zoo and had camel rides for the kids as well a selection of animals that could be fed.

Jared Nicholls

Are you kidding me? This place rocks! Awesome exhibits. Great animals. A very open concept to walk around. It's great! Just look at the pictures.

Kaytlyn Peterson

It was so much fun! The kids loved that you can pet and feed some animals there!! Had a great time!

Suanne Pipping

Fabulous zoo for my grandchildren, small enough to get around in a couple hours but a nice variety of animals, and great staff and owner.

Tira Fleming

Great place it is very affordable and amazing .

Ava Avion Maniac

It was a very good zoo! I went with my grandma today and it was very fun! It’s just that the animals have enclosed area. Overall, awesome zoo!

Jason Matthews

Great place for small kids. It took about 2 hours to go all the way thru. A lot of construction happening when we were there but the season just opened so its understandable

Julie Smith

Very nice, small zoo. Great for toddlers.

Tilly M

Awesome place with a nice variety of animals that is always expanding.

Dawn Lerma

My first time here and wow what a experience I had!

JIM P

Small zoo in someone's back yard. Nice but little pricey for backyard zoo

Sarah McKee

The Indian Creek Zoo is honestly the Best zoo I've been to. The Owner is wonderful he cares about the Animals and the people who visit. You can get up close with the animals some you can even feed. It's an amazing experience and I promise you won't regret it. This zoo it's great for the whole family and bring your friends too. I can't wait to go back and see the animals. They are also expanding the Zoo and it's so awesome to see. If you get the chance to go to the Zoo you definitely want to go to Indian Creek Zoo.i hope this was helpful.

Heath Harris

Very awesome small zoo. The owner does a lot of work around the zoo and is a great guy. Highly recommend the encounters, and if you do them in the cold season you may get lucky and see a lot of other animals up close and personal.

Tamara Swicegood

Dawn Fontana

Loved this zoo! Loved the kisses from Puzzles the giraffe

Justin Hunter-Knox

It's a great small zoo. My daughter loves feeding all the animals. The wolves and baby black bears are a great addition.

Carol Ganzel

It really is a great place to spend a couple hours...great for the young ones and the older ones also....fun!

Kathy

Great little zoo!

jane currier

Worth seeing. The animals seem well taken care of. We went on a cooler weather day, so animals weren't real active. You can feed some of the animals which makes it a little interactive with the kids. Fun day.

eryn thacker

One of my most favorite places to visit! So affordable and great for families.

Mary Kimberly

Wonderful place to visit. It is constantly changing so every time we go there is something new to explore!

Megan Langford

I brought my daughter here because she loves animals. Darrell Frye

A great place to take kids. So much hands on.

Linda Cleveland

Great place to visit! Had a lot if fun!

Amber Schock

Our 2 and 5 year old boys really enjoyed this place. I did as well, it is mostly shady and you can see all animals up close. Much more enjoyable than the larger zoo Toledo. A great value for the price.

Malinda Pegish

It's was nice place for family to visit. Will go again

Ray Hislop

Constantly upgrading and improving the zoo. Have been here several times for birthdays and with friends. Definitely recommend for a different zoo experience. You can feed many of the animals. They have veggies that you can purchase when you get your tickets.

Spencer Johnson

Had a wonderful time at this zoo. As many other reviews state, the zoo has a lot of variety, and has a smaller feel that lets you get up close with the animals. Melissa Bianchini

Loved it !! Great for families!! Just right size for Afternoon excursion!! Definitely will be back especially to see the renovations they are working on !!

Micah Daniel

My child kinda liked it. It was for me kinda depressing. Very small cages for the smaller animal. Not clean at all. The animals all looked very sad. At 10$ for entry, not at all worth it. The only redeeming factor is the ability to feed select animals for 3$ for a cup of carrots. And you can keep the cup. I won't be back. If you want to see happy and clean animals go to the Toledo Zoo!

Girlmomx3

This is a wonderful little zoo! You can see the animals are happy and well taken care of. It’s smaller so your experience I feel is more of a personal one, you’re able to get more up close with the animals versus walking around bigger zoos and most of the animals aren’t even out. They have the cutest little gift shop, you’re also able to purchase a cup or bucket of carrots to feed the animals. My kids loved it and we will definitely be back!!

Marie Ranville

For a smaller zoo venue, this place was fantastic..my granddaughters had a great time! All the animals were happy and active!!

Sophia Dick

Went the first time today. It was a fun experience although.. questionable cages. Question though. Can you feed/pet sloths? And how much does it cost?

Lonna Woolford

Great zoo except only half the animals out yesterday and wasn't made aware a head of time.

Kelly Fenker

Sweet little zoo! Good for small groups that want an experience that has a smaller time frame. I went for the sloth encounter and enjoyed feeding them! They were a bit sleepy, but excited for mango! You will also be greeted by the nicest dog named Arrow, and she is so well behaved! I went in December, but there were still animals out- goats, wolves, camels, ostrich, bunnies, alpacas, etc.

Isabel Incaln

First time there. Parking needs some improvement. Should have some Handicap parking. Be nice to have like some more help in side. But over all very nice enjoyed the animals with my grandson at his BD PARTY THERE.

Chayna Campbell

Amazing, I absolutely love how close we can get to the animals! You cant touch all but you can seriously cuddle a few!! Loved it so much!!!

Hermalyn Manglona

Great smaller scale family zoo

Jessica maaynard

Love this place been going ever year for 3 years now they have done alot to it and it looks so nice now great staff

Amber Aubry

This place is absolutely amazing, I love coming here, I love showing everyone this place. If you live in any of the surrounding area as I highly suggest to take your family or friends and just have an amazing time. PS puzzles the giraffe is very friendly and he might try to steal your headband

Holly Hall

This place is great! We loved it so much we got a membership. Go, you'll love it too :)

James Jay

Decent little zoo. Always seem to have numerous construction projects happening at once though.

Jessica Haynes

Excellent place for a kids party!

Linda Kososki

I was extremely upset with the condition of this zoo. I feel bad for animals. Exhibits are not maintained. Mud + extremely stinky conditions. Water for animals was gross. There was a pond that was so gross that I think the ducks that were in it will die. Then and shame on me for not checking receipt, but they charged me for an adult ticket when I clearly said one senior and 2 kids. There was no one else around us, so where she got this extra person is beyond me. Check your receipts!!! I will never go back!!!

Sarah Bear

Good place to take little kids, feeding animals is very fun , nice little getaway .

Heather Altepeter

Wonderful place. Very friendly staff! Animals were well taken care of, and many walked right up you in their enclosures. I took my best friend here for the sloth encounter, and afterwards walked the rest of the zoo. We ended our day by doing the camel rides. The whole experience was absolutely wonderful.

Megan Blythe

A quick, fun trip! The animals are great. Not much of a variety, but still fun. Disappointed that there were no capybaras durring my visit, but I know things come up. Hopefully, I can see them next time I visit!

Gregory Foster

They have giraffes! All the animal's are close. Fun for kids. You can feed some animals

Sheryl Retzlaff

Perfect zoo for the whole family especially if you have little kids!

Natalie Konarske

We love Indian Creek. The intimate feel is very awesome. We went during baby animal days, which they have every year, and had some really cool experiences with some of their baby animals.

Vickie Looker

What an amazing zoo! It's the perfect size for those who want a zoo experience for children under 10, who have a shorter attention span. It's in a beautiful wooded setting, and has some animals that can be touched and fed. We all loved it, adults and children alike!

Hallie Loy-Roby

Surprised my niece and nephew with a stop here on our way back to Ohio. It's a great little zoo that is perfect for an 18 mo. & 4 yr. old. Their walkways are paved which makes pushing a stroller much easier. You can buy carrots to feed the goats. That was my nephew's favorite part of the visit. Their souvenir shop was inexpensive, so that was a plus.

Andrew Russell

This is a nice little zoo. It is smaller than, say, the Toledo zoo, which has some advantages and disadvantages. It has fewer animals than a big zoo, but you get to interact with the animals a lot more than you can at a larger zoo. Overall, we were very pleased and would go back again.

Toni McCoy

What a great place to take children. Got to feed animals ride a camel and see many animals!

Martha Bertich

Very nice petting zoo I really enjoyed it

Jenni Burns

Definitely not worth the price you pay to get in but had a great time with grandkids and that's all that matters

luke schonfeld

A pretty cool place. Animals were out and moving around. Amazing place to check out!

Danielle Winkler

Great little zoo experience! Went on a hot day and was a bit disappointed in the lack of shady areas. Also bring water as it is only available at store by entrance to zoo (no fountains or restrooms throughout zoo). We did enjoy the more intimate experience with the animals and the camel ride was a unique addition!

Sara Richter

We always have so much fun here been going for years

Beth Chubb

It a nice family own zoo! The kids loved it!!!

sally mcnally

I go there often, excellent place!

Baked Brie

I love how close you can get to the animals. You can buy a cup of carrots & feed the goats. Not all the animals can have the carrots and there are signs posted but some people and their kids didn't listen. I guess they don't care if they make them sick as long as they get a kick out of it. Besides the rude kids running around everywhere & yelling it was a very nice experience. Some of the cages looked too small like the black bear Cubs enclosure. That's completely unacceptable and I hope they have a bigger indoor one they go into at night. Also a few of the white Wallabys looked lethargic & hot.

Justin Bussell

Not alot there the dogs were the best attraction

Geoff Paulin

A smaller zoo, kind of out of the way in a place you wouldn't expect. It's not as crowded as other zoo's. But not as many of your standard "zoo animals" such as there are no elephants or lions.

O'Grady Ray

It's small but you can tell the animals are well taken care of.

Chrissy Jo Clarke

Very Interactive!! Took my young sons [5&3] and they loved how close they got to the aninals. We were also able to feed them. Its not to big so they were able to walk around and see all the animals without gettin tired. There is some construction, so im sure id be back in a couple weeks to see how much more they have developed

C Sharp

Nice little hidden gem in Bedford to take your family. They always seem to be adding new exhibits which makes the visit even more enjoyable

Megan Street

I agree with others about the small environments and the less than stellar cleanliness, however, i do believe the animals are well cared for by experts and exercised. I took my daughter to get photographed with Chewy, the camel. Our photographer has an excellent report with the owners. Chewy seemed to love the attention and was well mannered. The handler was kind and the whole thing went very smooth. The owners are constantly improving the park. Specialists bring in other animals on occation for learning opportunities as well which is unique. Some animals are rescues. You can't beat a sloth feeding experience! I love bringing my family here.

zvnavv3w5

A bizarre and questionable experience. We were constantly looking at each other, bemused and a little scared - is this allowed? As we wander by filled pens, cages, and enclosures, I ponder on the ethical and situational intentions we should interpret from the displays. Is this conservation? Or is this the dream of having a personal zoo? Is this what has to be done if I want exotic pets? Is this strictly an amateur operation, or is there expertise/professional staff on hand? How do they care for the non-native animals during the Michigan winters? Are they really meeting needs? It's easy to call into question the care, ability, and necessity of this establishment. I'm not sure I see a good reason for this place to exist, but it does and, even though I've come to question the moral integrity of zoo's as an adult, I had a surprisingly good time walking through the many exhibits.

Bridget Stralko

This was our first time ever visiting the Indian Creek zoo and we loved it! It’s very small. We probably walked around the whole loop in less than an hour… But we decided to walk through again because we enjoyed feeding the animals so much! They had a nice little pavilion where we ate lunch and the facilities were clean and well kept. Highly recommend this little hidden gem.

Laura King

Very cool place, close to home. Prices not bad.

Rob Shaffer

The people are very friendly. The attractions get better every year. I love this place!

Rev Paul Aduba

Though I have never been able to make it to the place...the FM Christian Radio station here.. Proclaim FM always encourage people to visit the place. According to them.. the place is attractive and fantastic for the family.

Rachel Sondergeld

This place was kind of depressing. The animals were kept in really small, muddy, enclosures. I felt too worried about some of the animals to find the experience enjoyable. The one good thing I can say is that I think it's cool that there was a mix of traditional zoo animals (giraffes and zebras) and petting zoo components (like going in the pen to feed baby goats carrots and pet them). But ultimately, you should go to the Detroit or Toledo Zoo instead.

James Fox

It's a small, well tended little petting zoo. Animals are very well taken care of, staff is friendly.

Keith Kirby

Nice zoo. Small size and I think admission is too pricey for what is offered.

Patrick Forrester

Its a great place. It is somewhere between a really small road side attraction and a full blown zoo & is being developed. They have some really neat very close up exhibits including giraffes, a bobcat, very small primates, and many more. As I enjoyed the place I thought this must be what the family zoo owned by Steve the Crocodile of Australia looks like.

Kathy Stanifer

Wonderful place not to expensive no big crowds you can take your time seeing the animals

Jenny Williams

Great family time

Gary Williams

Wonderful place! Great staff and the animals are amazing!

Roy Privatte Jr.

Lions and tigers and bears oh my, just kidding. Wolves and camels and giraffes what a laugh.

Cindy Jamnick

Loved it got to walk through without being pushed like the bigger zoos staff so friendly my granddaughter loved feeding the animals

justin mfj bradley

Great place. Friendly staff. Lots of improvements over the last couple of years. Will always be a fun place to visit.

Felicia Siddiqui

This place is phenomenal, big zoo meets petting zoo, fun for the whole family! Great staff & happy animals!

Small zoo. Looks to be expanding. Family friendly park and staff. About an hour walk through. Fun to see animals up close and personal. Purchase sliced carrots to feed deer, alpacas and donkeys.

I enjoy bringing my daughter here, however a couple of times the lady, who I presume is the owner (because I saw her and her dog go to their house next to the park), has been snobby and held a could have cared less attitude to us contributing to their income by coming here. Other than certain staff's attitude walking the zoo has been enjoyable.

When is this place not awesome. I am so happy to see that they are working and expanding. Can't wait to see the finished project. The bear cubs were amazing. Never seen one before. What a great place

A quaint way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Animals are all close enough you can get a close look. Lots of opportunities for children to pet and feed the farm animals

Susan Harms

For a small zoo it’s really nice. Would definently go again.

Don’t miss out on this amazing zoo!!! It’s in such an interesting setting. It seems like it’s right in a neighborhood! My kids love all the different types of animals. There are tons of shady spots, places to picnic, and places to explore. The gift shop is reasonably priced and you can buy carrots in a cup or run to feed a bunch of the animals. The yearly pass is definitely worth it! We’ve been back a bunch of times and we drive from an hour away. It seems like they are always updating, too!

Erik Chappell

Wonderful place. Very family oriented.

I volunteer here, everyone is very nice, the animals are too, just a joyful place :)

A small family owned zoo that is ideal for a weekend visit with kids. Do not visit this place with over expectations. They do not have big cats or large herbivores like elephants or rhinos but they do have a lot of animals and most importantly well nourished ones. You can feed deers, sheeps, goats and llamas . Its not a big area so within it would only take an hour and half to 2 depending on you. Entry fee was $12 . Some may say it is expensive based on the exhibits but remember: maintaining healthy animals and safe environment for vistors is expensive affair. These people are doing a great job in keeping those animals healthy and well nourished.

The kids love it! So do the adults

Sarah Stump

Visited during baby animals days and really enjoyed getting up close view of all the babies.

The Bead Man

Such a great experience for one to share with family and friends. To me this is what a zoo should be, a place that cares about you just as much as they do the animals. Everyone should go at least once in their lifetime.

Brian Walter

Great place to visit.

Cindy Kaszubski

Love this little zoo, feeding the animals

Tronak Rock

I saw a cub and a wolf with signs of anxiety moving repeatedly from one side to another with some nervousness, in a monkey cage, the bucket where you can put cereals was full of wasps and I also wonder if he only feeds of cereals ... the giraffe is very friendly, it is a beautiful experience but I am still worried about its conditions, its feeding and the anxiety that I could observe in a wolf and a cub

Dawn Caram

Cool you can feed and interact with the animals

I would NOT recommend this zoo. I was excited to go because I had heard great things about it. However, the minute we walked in, I knew we made a mistake. The first thing we saw were wolves neurotically pacing. They were in a small cage with a short ceiling and it was very hot out. The urine smell overwhelmed me. I thought it might be a fluke so we continued on. I found animals that were in muddy cages with no green grass. If animals did have plants in their cage, it was weeds. Many reviews state they enjoy feeding and being close to the animals. The reason this happens is because the cages are so small the animals have no other option. There is also no other stimulation for the animals in their cages. There were wild prairie dogs that were everywhere. They made big holes that could be a hazard, especially for young children. There was also a deer exhibit with two babies it had recently had. The mom was very skinny and did not look well taken care of. The entire place smelt awful and there were flies everywhere, literally. Do not support this facility. If you want to go to the zoo, go to a Zoo where animals are properly fed, stimulated, and cared for.

This place is a hidden gem, the staff is friendly and the continuous upgrades are great,This is a great family atmosphere!! My son had an amazing time, make sure to support this family owned zoo.

Peggy Densmore

Very nice zoo! Nice gift shop also. Friendly workers.

Kerrie Van Den Berghe

What a wonderful little zoo in the woods. Loved feeding carrots to the goats. And seeing all the baby animals.

Amber Helvoigt

Amazing! They have a lot of diffrent animals, feeding options, very affordable gift shop, way easier to take a kid to so they won't loose focus and it's a shorter walk. Definitely coming back here!

Bethany Brown

So much fun!! Will be coming back soon! Trick or treating was great for the kids!

Rudy

Very nice for a private zoo, a unique experience with the up close venue. Great to see them expanding.

Thomas brown

Love this place. Every time I go they have more new animals. They keep expanding and making more places for the animals. Enjoy the new cement sidewalk. Makes it nice. You don't have to walk in the mud. Also enjoy feeding the animals. Will be back soon.

My granddaughter and I had a great time. Would highly recommend.
