This Zoo corresponds to the category of Aquarium.
This zoo just never stops improving! Awesome exhibits and great setting for animals. Lots of new interactive things for kids also. Great visit with my granddaughter and daughter.
Great exhibits. Need to make it a little more handicapped accessible. Doors need to be wider, and have automatic opening buttons.
So much fun and today we had the pleasure of seeing a diver in the aquarium!!!
Great little aquarium! Has touch tanks with sting rays and another with sea stars, hermit crabs, etc. Lots of cool fish to look at including several small sharks.
This was an amazing experience and that I'd do again and again. You must get a season membership so that you can make this a regular event. A nice zoo with a State of he art aquarium with other state of the art attractions. Go and have a great time.
It was an awesome way to spend my daughter's 8th birthday!
Fun aquarium. My daughter and I always go there when we're at the zoo.
Always love it. My daughter likes to touch the fish but I prefer to look.
Kids love it there and the staff is very knowledgeable.
Love! I only wish they had water stations like the Detroit Zoo.
This is a great zoo, been coming for over 30 years.
Love the aquarium and everything about it!! The staff is super friends helpful and willing to answer any questions. Great place for kids to learn. Love the touch tank!!
Great Family & Date fun! As someone who grew up with the Toledo zoo and the old aquarium, I have to say I’m even more impressed! The kid friendly (ex: touch) exhibits, the diversity of aquatic species, the beautiful set-up is just beyond words! Now that I have my daughter I will be taking her here to make just as memorable memories as I once did here! This is our 4th time at the zoo with our little 8month old and the aquarium had to be one of her favorite places to visit! Watching her eyes light up just melts any parents heart! Perfect for mommy & me day or a daddy & me day!
Not as good as Pittsburgh but certainly a jewel of the Toledo Zoo. There are fish in there I've never seen before like a flashlight fish. Say "hi" to Tink the Sea Turtle, he'll go nose down to say hi to the whole family.
Awesome experience. Kids love touching the stingrays.
Great place for th whole family.
Excellent experience! Options to touch some sea creatures and the layout was easy to get through. It wasn't a super big place, which I liked.
I have been to the Detroit Zoo several times over the years as I was growing up. I had passed it by as I travelled out of town heard about the Toledo Zoo for a very long time. So, when my friends daughter told me that she had never been to the zoo I had to take her as well as see for myself. It turned out to be an outing for family and friends and we had two cars and about 8 people in total. We had a great time and my friends daughter had a fantastic first experience at the zoo. Don't wait until your young people become adults or when you are too old to enjoy it. Go to the Zoo and make sure the Toledo Zoo is on your list of things to do!
My family loves visiting the zoo, Toledo zoo is great for little legs too.
We spent an entire day at the zoo and never got bored! We took our 4.5 year old and our 1.5 year old, they both enjoyed it so much. We went at the beginning of April and there were only a few animals that we didn't get to see due to weather but that was ok. We got in discounted because we are zoo members in our hometown.
Lived the zoo, prices a little high, and food prices are too, a lot if families cant afford to eat there, so I seen alot of parents feeding there kids snacks they bring to hold them over till they leave and go eat some where else. We packed our lunch. Went to the car and ate.
Constantly improving their exhibits and experiences. Been coming here since I was a kid. Now I bring my kids and will continue to for years to come.
Great zoo! Nice mix of indoor and outdoor space.
I love the Toledo zoo! The kids had a great time! Looking forward to a kid free visit too.
The aquarium gets a 10 my family and I went back twice to enjoy it was so amazing to see up close and personal!
The aquarium is wonderful but I think that strollers should not be allowed in. It's already too crowded and then people take their children out to see things and leave the strollers in the way! Otherwise it's air conditioned and beautiful!
One of the best Zoo's I have been going too. It beats the Detroit Zoo hands down, and I llive in MI....
Went to zoo holiday lights with Sons family nice evening there
I always love going to the aquarium now that it has been remodeled. We were there during a time that the diver was in the fish tank feeding the fish and it was a lot of fun to watch that happen. As well as very informational to get questions answered about the different types of fish in the fish tank.
Its was my first time and I loved it. My son had a blast, a little on the hot side when I went but It was a great time.
A must see, especially if not from toledo area. This is a hands on experience where kids get to touch certain sea animals. They have scuba divers in the tanks at certain times of the day that interact with the kids. We make sure to come to the aquarium everytime we visit the zoo.
Really great place with lots to see. Go in the cooler months of Summer though, as the really hot days drives the animals indoors or into bushes where you cannot see them. Otherwise cool place. Food at the cafeteria is AWFUL though, so be warned!!! But you're not going for the food. Bring some in if you can.
Very awesome to see all the world's fish
Fantastic Aviary. Not a huge array of different birds but the walkthrough area was phenomenal and provide you with up close interactions with the animals. A lot of the exhibits are closed for the winter, however I would still consider it a great place to visit even on the off season it has lots of animals to look at and different stuff to do.
We LOVE this place! Touch tank and so many beautiful displays. It is worth it just for the aquarium but the rest of the zoo is great too. Long time membership holders.
The aquarium is absolutely beautiful. I would recommed going between tuesday-thursday.
Great zoo would go back
Great place lots of things to see. Friend staff and helpful. Fun for kids of all ages. Took 4 1/2 hours at a slow pace to see all easy to navigate through.
The new aquarium is fantastic!!! They have an awesome set up and for the kids to be able to touch a couple small fish is incredible! They love the interactive parts!
A must see! Very beautiful i could sit for hours watching the tanks
Such a great time with the family at the Toledo Zoo in general. The Aquarium was recently remodeled and it's more spacious and hands on in two locations of the building. From watching a live feeding and getting to ask a scuba driver a question while underwater how can you go wrong take your kids. Also the splash pad outside on hot days for the kids to cool of is great.
Good environment. They should do something about the age pricing. Shouldn't have to pay top dollar for a two year old
A surprisingly nice aquarium in the Toledo Zoo. We have stopped here a number of times and have always enjoyed the experience. The aquarium is clean and bright and open.
Good variety of aquatic animals in cool displays. I like they have educational spots and spots where you can touch different animals.
So beautiful, the staff was very knowledgeable and personable about their animals!! Would definitely recommend, and absolutely loved feeding the giraffes(especially Charlotte)!
It's just awesome. Almost all animals were up and active. Good layout, reasonably priced food and great aquarium. We got the annual pass AGAIN!!
Love the rare mermaid exhibit!
Had a blast.. clean and neat..
This zoo just never stops improving! Awesome exhibits and great setting for animals. Lots of new interactive things for kids also. Great visit with my granddaughter and daughter.
I love the Toledo zoo i would've gladly given them 5 stars but they had the safari section closed literally nothing was open the carousel closed why? The giraffe area closed the zip line closed all the stands were closed nothing was open except the bathrooms and it was a weekend which you'd expect it would be open for that reason. I dont live in Ohio so to come and spend almost 200 is disappointing.
Very clean and pleasant public place. Loved every minute of it. Gotta go back, too much for my old body in a single visit. Easy in and out with plenty of free parking.
Too hot for animals to be out. Short lines in Cafe though food was fresh and warm. Park was clean, bathrooms were clean. Still think some of the bigger animal exibits are too small and the safety glasses for observation areas was rather dirty. We didn't a great view of the yearling gorilla though. He was adorable!
My boys and there cuz loved it.. So would do it again ....
The aquarium is bright and amazingly clean. There is little to no "fish" smell which in itself is astonishing. The staff is attentive and keeps the crowd moving through. Even at 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon, they were able to keep fingerprints on the big tanks cleaned up.
I enjoy my visit when ever i can go
Excellent place for kids! Giraffe experience was awesome!!
My niece had an absolute blast at the whole zoo but was absolutely fascinated in the aquarium!!
The Aquarium is so nice at the Toledo Zoo! My kids love it there.
Its beautiful. Another attraction that makes Toledo Zoo Shine!!
Penguins, Polar Bears, Seals, splashing, cheering, guided tours. Fee to get in means you probably have to wander the entire zoo to feel like you're getting your money's worth but there are plenty of things to see and do. The food isn't too staggeringly priced but it's not cheap. There are no free water stations so be prepared to pay for a bottle or bring plenty. There is no bag check. Parking is paid, and limited, and it can be a bit of a walk to get to the entrance.
Very clean exhibits, nice layout. The only reason I give it 5 *s is because of their reef tanks, otherwise I would have given them 4 *s. It really is a nice aquarium. But their reef tanks...AWESOME displays. EXTREMELY large hammer coral and frog spawn! In addition, they have a VERY large toadstool leather exhibit. Bioluminescent fish.... very cool! Definitely worth it!
What a great day to spend with family..Animal exhibits and closer to the people so you can really see.
The Toledo zoo has been a yearly, at least, stop for my family and myself for many years. It has always been an amazing experience and the opening of the museum of natural history has made this trip more enjoyable for me.
Its small but nice the animals are well taken care of although I would recommend bigger enclosures for the snow leopards and maybe more enrichment for the wolves and a fan for the arctic critters
The Toledo Zoo is definitely one of the best zoos in the country. I have a membership and my kids never get tired of going back. I'll continue to be a member for a very long time!
Beautiful setting but can be a bit crowded at times.
The atmosphere here was almost as amazing as the variety of marine life on display. I've been around the block a few times and thought I had a fair idea of what I'd see but every time I turned a corner I was face to face with a new critter I'd never even heard of. Awesome experience.
It was a cheapish fun day with the family. lots of animals. bring a cooler and you will have great time.
I love how close you can get to the animals. When we were there the animals were right up against the glass. LOVED the aquarium too. You have to pet the rays and shark!!
I absolutely LOVE my zoo!!! It's humongous and filled with every animal and attraction you could want to see!! Prices are steep, however, I'm pretty frugal. I was born and raised here and have sooooooo many memories at the zoo. From me being a child, to taking my children. Loooooove my Toledo Zoo!! #zootodo
Great service and nice staff. I suggest going when it's a bit cooler out so you'll see the animals while they're awake.
I am not sure how everyone is being fooled by this. It's the same aquarium as before. They added a large tank in one end and some stingrays. Not much more to see than there was before. The fish are still in the tiny little tanks. Some of the fish are so big in their tanks that they can barely swim around. It's sad to see them just have to float in the middle because they can't move.
Amazing fish! Crazy close encounter with the shark and stingrays! One of the best parts if the zoo!
Military got in free,it was beautiful my remodeled. I had an awesome time with family and friends.
The animal exhibits were a little small, but It was a great place to meet friends from Michigan and Indiana. It was a central point that all of us felt the kids could run around enjoy and we could catch up. It was a wonderful time being able to see friends and their kids in a clean family oriented environment.
Fun place. Always fun to visit and see the animals and the new museum of natural history.
The aquarium is really nice got to touch some starfish.
Very clean and pleasant public place. Loved every minute of it. Gotta go back, too much for my old body in a single visit. Easy in and out with plenty of free parking.
The aquarium was amazing. Great displays, hands on experiences, many different types of aquatic animals.
Beautiful exhibits with happy, healthy animals. Loads of educational material. My husband and I spent a couple hours in the aquarium taking in every detail. I still look back at the pictures and videos and can't believe how beautiful it was! Really looking forward to going again.
It's really a wonderful little aquarium. They have a good amount of fish to see and some decent interaction for the younger set. Definitely a must see on your zoo trip!
Great zoo with lits to see and do. Loved the variety of both animals and habitats.
Had alot of fun. Just sucks alot of attractions were closed for some reason. Couldnt find a few of the animals.
Fantastic zoo, exhibits are nicely crafted, it flows well, animals don't seem to be too crowded, the walkways give ample space, there is good variety. One of the best Zoos I've ever been to, lots of things for kids to see and do. Lots of animals for them to encounter. They have a few add-on activities to do if you got someone that isn't into seeing animals that much as well. Food can be a bit scarce, and a bit pricey but not much more than comparable locations.
It was beautiful and amazing to see all the fish and the touch tank.
Amazing visit! It's like a new adventure everytime! Thank you #Promedicazooday for a fantastic day!
It was actually pretty fun and interesting. It was a highlight of the zoo today. Ironically, we never really see that many animals at the Toledo Zoo when we go but the aquarium is guaranteed to show some form of animals because its water. And it's a nice indoor display. Which is a plus for the zoo for what they charge children to visit because if the prices keep going up, it's going to be comparable to Cedar Point. And unless we see pandas on roller coasters at The Toledo Zoo, they're never going to match up
Wonderful place, love it. The kids really enjoyed seeing the great variety of fish and the touch tank.
Had a great time!! Very clean. Staff was extremely friendly.
Love this zoo! Live over an hour away but have a membership here over my local zoo!
It has some really cool exhibits, that focus on Ohio water life, along with deep sea life. Tha hands on part was pretty cool, being able to pet a sting-ray, horseshoe crab, and shark was fun for the kids. Exhibit workers always make sure to interact with kids, and hold a complete professionalism. Only thing I wish, was a bigger deep sea tank.
My absolute favorite place to take my kids or spend an afternoon. You'll never see everything in one day, theres that much to do.
This is one of our favorite zoos. Always clean. It is big enough that even when there are a lot of people here, it never seems crowded. The littles love the splash pad!
Toledo Zoo is a great place to spend time with the little one. Recommend the family membership if you are local, pays for itself in 2 to 3 trips
Always a family fun environment! Used to be an annual family trip for me. However increasing prices are making it harder to go. Nonetheless, the zoo is always a fun place to hang out!!
Love the touch tank and so does my grand kids. The scuba diver in the main tank made it fun too.
Its laid out well. They've packed a ton into the area, no long walks from a to b with nothing to see. The open aviary is gorgeous and the aquarium is other worldly. The touch tank alone makes this place but everything is up to par and then some. Animals look well cared for. We have gone to zoos around the country and even out of the country but this is our favorite zoo.
The Toledo Zoo's Aquarium is wonderful! They have a large collection of both saltwater and freshwater species. It is very kid friendly with lots of interactive opportunities. My 2 year old loves it! The main touch tank with stingrays and sharks is a little deep for him but he still loves to look through the glass section that shows and underwater view of the tank. There is a smaller invertebrate touch tank where he can touch and enjoys it. All the animals seem healthy and well cared for. They have plenty of space and tanks are not overcrowded. There is a daily dive show in the large tank that is both entertaining and informative. The aquarium is one of our favorite exhibits in the entire zoo and is ALWAYS on our must-see list! We cannot wait to visit again!
This aquarium is really an experience! From a variety of sea/water life to a real life scuba diver that interacted with the kids while in the tank. I also loved the local fish of the area portions and the glow in the dark tanks. Hope to see this grow as time goes on!
Terrible Experience Started at the ticket counter! Took 7 minutes to purchase 2 adult tickets.... we were the only ones in line! The aquarium enclosure made no sense, with far too many large fish in small spaces with large spaces half filled with medium to small fish. The park was packed but most all of the food and drink stations were closed. We finally found one open and stood (with no line) at a window for someone to take our order and when the lady walked up to the register without saying a word she flipped the sign to closed and walked away!! Its a Saturday and the zoo closes at 5pm, about 345 it started to sprinkle and the employees immediately pulled all the animals in, closed up ALL food and drink stations and exhibits and started leaving!! So with no other option we headed to the exit and just before we got to the exit my daughter took a hit off of her electronic cigarette (we hadn't noticed any no smoking signs and since there was no one near us she took one drag) and as she was putting it back in her pocket an employee that was walking way behind us screamed at her that there was absolutely no smoking anywhere in the park. We can completely understand and respect that but a simple "I'm sorry there's no smoking in the park" would be far more appropriate, not to scream at a guest like a maniac! So by the time we get to our vehicle, 410 - 415, the rain had completely stopped but by that point the park was empty including employees. I never realized wild animals couldn't survive a light 20 minute summer shower!!! For those who say this was the best zoo they've been to breaks my heart because they obviously have never got to experience a wonderful zoo
Best zoo around! The kids love Natures neighborhood and the splash pad. The new museum is a great addition!
The aquarium was just recently remodeled. If you haven't seen it yet I highly suggest taking the trip. The kids and I absolutely love it!
Beautiful aquarium! It was a very well played out facility with numerous fish and animals I didnt expect to see. Everything from bioluminecient flashlight fish to sharks to alligator snapping turtles and jellyfish.
The zoo was great. The interactive element in the bird house was fun. The map really helped and the food was good.
Very clean. So much better than last year. Loved the animals and the new additions they have added.
The zoo was absolutely amazing. It was the first time we had been there. The only compaint was it was raining so they had attractions closed, my children were upset they didn't get to do them. I would have loved to experienced the other attractions.
The aquarium was not very big, but what they had was really well done. Very clean the displays were awsome
I just live coming the this Zoo! Nice, clean and just a great atmosphere! Just sad my grand niece is so into giraffes the zip line and feeding was down!
Great interactive exhibits for kids. Great variety of sea life. Friendly staff as well. Highly recommended!
First time there and enjoyed it very much.
Super cool fish and other sea critter displays...we all loved it!! Highly recommend for family fun day at the Zoo
Some of the tanks are to small. Aquatic friends have no living space. Think how you will feel living inside a box.
Always a great time , and their new Museum is really wonderful
Our zoo is very nice, loved the new museum.
Very cool place to stop with the kids. They have touch tanks and very cool reef viewing center. My kids love to change the colors of the jellyfish
Pleasantly surprised. Very nice time, older zoo so it has some rough edges but had a great time and many great exhibits and animals.
Always love it here. Fun place
This is my favorite part of The Toledo Zoo. I'm not really into the rest of the Zoo, not because something is wrong with it-- but because I just don't care for the zoo LOL. The aquarium is super cool, you can pet stingrays and sharks! Love it!!
Beautiful displays. The first Asian Arrowana I've ever seen in person. Gorgeous.
This aquarium is really an experience! From a variety of sea/water life to a real life scuba diver that interacted with the kids while in the tank. I also loved the local fish of the area portions and the glow in the dark tanks. Hope to see this grow as time goes on!
Excellent! Had a great time. I should have bought a membership. I will next year for sure!
Amazing scenery, touch tanks, and its a part of the zoo , no additional entry cost. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience. The fish and reptiles seemed to be at peace with captivity. The mammals not so much except the grizzly in the tub.
I love this place. So big, and much to do. Fun for all ages. A bit pricey if you want to do anything extra inside. Get there early, because just like me the animals like a good afternoon nap. I feel some of the enclosures were small for the bigger of the animals. Overall a great place to spend the day.
It was neat they had a diver feeding fish

Since its renovation, I enjoy coming here and taking pictures. Its alot of fun
Small but very nice aquarium. Part of the wonderful Toledo zoo.
Love love love this zoo! The wildlife habitats are beautiful and the animals seem very content. I love the fact that the giraffe's share an enclosure with Zebras and various types of Antalopes.
Loved all the features and new fish
You won't be disappointed.. Toledo zoo is the best except for their expensive food and drinks.. It's better to pack a cooler.
Gr8 experience. I've seen more animals here than anyother zoo we've been to.
Ehh I went to have a day with my family. I wasn't as impressed and I'm the type of person who enjoys the zoo, the saltwater croc was probably the best attraction.
The Toledo Zoo has always been and continues to be amazing
The best zoo that my family has visited. Fun, impeccable facilities. Cheerful staff. Engaging, hands-on activities. The Toledo zoo has it all.
This is the best aquarium ever, except the Florida Aquarium which cheats by residing in Florida. Great variety, it's kept clean and the employees are smart.
Shot a wedding here, it was beautiful. I didn't get to explore the zoo at all but the botanical gardens and the reception area were beautiful! I'll be going back to actually see the animals.
The animal displays are easy to see and allow visitors to get reasonably close to them safely. The cafe has tasty food in a relaxed environment. It is handicap accessible and enjoyable for the whole family.
Great bonus to the zoo experience! Has a nice variety of ocean wildlife. A hands on experience and touch pool with sting rays, starfish, and horseshoe crabs. Fun for all ages! You can't go wrong at this zoo and aquarium! Will be back again!
Great exhibit. My children loved the variety of wild life
Absolutely beautiful experience!! Very clean, spacious. I've been to the aquarium in Newport and the Toledo zoo is better than there for sure. Excellent work!!
Always a good visit. So many thing to do we gotta go several times to cover it all!
Top notch. Great variety. Could spend a couple hours just in the Aquarium
I love the new setup at the aquarium. It's absolutely beautiful! If you're going to the Toledo Zoo, make sure you don't miss it!
It was really nice and my daughter loved the touch tanks! Just wish they had more tanks with more of a variety of different fish to look at.
It's not a very large aquarium, but it's a nice place to take kids on an outing. They have a decently diverse selection of fish and other sea life, and they've got a touch tank for the little kids to get up and close with a few of the more harmless specimens.
Good variety of fish. Kind of wish they had a bit more local fish displays. The entire zoo is much better than when I was a kid.
This was ons of the most impressive aquariums I've been to inside of a zoo. Most aquariums that are inside of a zoo tend to be subpar, but this one was above and beyond my expectations! I recommend this aquarium and zoo to anyone interested in going to one!
Fantastic way to spend the day with our grand daughter
I wish I had photos but it started raining so I will go back. So much to see!!
Beautiful aquarium with many different species. You can even pet Sting Rays!
My kids had a blast, there was a little of everything plus sting rays and sharks you can touch! Well worth it
Shot a wedding here, it was beautiful. I didn't get to explore the zoo at all but the botanical gardens and the reception area were beautiful! I'll be going back to actually see the animals.
Toledo Zoo is probably our favorite of all the zoos we've ever gone to across the US. There's so much to do in addition to just looking at animals. The aquarium alone is huge. If you go on a hot day, there's a lot of stuff that's indoors with air conditioning or in the shade. They have a lot of cool animals to see. I really liked that they have a playground for the kids in two different areas. Have a splash pad and a little river the kids can get wet and play in. We go here multiple times a year even though we live in Michigan.
Love the remodel. Large tanks filled with active fish. The "hands on" tanks are great for kids (not toddlers though, their immune system isn't up to par, yet). Easy access restrooms are modern. Multiple points of entry and exit. Much, much improved.
We drove 4 hours to the Toledo Zoo and it was so worth it!! The animals were very active, lots to see!! They have some neat exhibits! This zoo is big so plan a couple hours. Being our first time there the only thing I wish they had a sign for was the tickets for train rides need to be cash only. We waited in a long slow line for tickets to find out they don't take cards.
I had a wonderful time at the zoo. The aquarium it very nice and the museum of natural history was amazing! My favorite part was the tropical area where you got to see tropical plants, butterflies, and tropical frogs. It was a great experience over all!
Wow what a place to have a wedding!!! The staff and coordinator were phenomenal before and during the event. The room looked stunning and the guests had a blast. The touch tank was the talk of the day!
Amazing Experience! So much to see and do! It's changing all the time!
Great family experience. Only hour drive from Detroit ❤️
It says a lot when you live 25 minutes from a major zoo, but instead, will drive an hour to go to the Toledo Zoo. This zoo is always great! I just recently took my girlfriend to the Toledo Zoo and she had a great time! The animal exhibits were clean and the animals were pretty lively. The indoor aquarium is a must see. In my opinion, waayyy better than the Detroit Zoo.
Loveliest zoo I have ever visited. Love their carousel and safari Train. Prettiest aquarium and apt place for toddlers and kids to spend time. Fountains are too good during summer.
Took the grandchildren and they loved it! The aquarium was especially fun!
The animal displays are easy to see and allow visitors to get reasonably close to them safely. The cafe has tasty food in a relaxed environment. It is handicap accessible and enjoyable for the whole family.
Had a great time, spent all day and almost not enough time to see everything. Will definitely be back!
Very hot day. Many of the animals were smart to stay in coolest areas, but the old Zoo buildings were beautiful with huge varieties of species.
Love the updated aquarium, so many different activities and exhibits for kiddos and adults to enjoy
Loved it. Went with my son on a field trip and I love my Zoo.
Displays allow for good viewing. The touch tank was great. Low enough for kids and there is a step area for shorter kids.
Love all the updates the animals have alot more room to move around in with the outdoor exhibits. Something there for all ages and the personal are willing to answer questions
A very nice place. Probably one of our favorite spot in the zoo. Very wide varieties of fish and some very nice spots to look at them as they go around the bigger tanks. My wife love the "glow in the dark" ones. My daughters are just in love with that place and could spend most of the day there. The aquarium as a "touching" area. I am not thrilled about it, but other kids seemed to enjoyed it.
Absolutely beautiful zoo and aquarium. All of the animals have nice big enclosures. They're all treated with respect, and they're all active and happy. Definitely recommend.
Nice little auqrium to start the zoo tour with on historic north side!
Wonderful, large zoo. Not our record time but we did it all slow and steady!! Great day!!
It was huge!!! They have added on so much! My daughter and I loved it! I would highly recommend!
Loved this place, staff was very helpful with a small 2 year old. The deep dark exhibit with the glow in the dark fish felt like I was seeing aliens.
The aquarium, built by the WPA, has been recently renovated into a wonderful Toledo Zoo treasure full of diverse marine life and creative displays. You cannot visit Toledo without visiting the zoo and its aquarium!
Great bonus to the zoo experience! Has a nice variety of ocean wildlife. A hands on experience and touch pool with sting rays, starfish, and horseshoe crabs. Fun for all ages! You can't go wrong at this zoo and aquarium! Will be back again!
Drove 21/2 hours for either no animals in enclosure or animals sleeping. Monkeys were great and I fed a giraffe lettuce. 39 bucks for hamburgers and drinks.
Great place to visit. Make sure to keep an eye on the website for exhibits or events that may be closed. It will save you from possible disappointment.
Overall it was a wonderful experience especially to see polar bears from such a short distance.
The dark room, the touch tanks, recently redone and also in one of the oldest buildings at the zoo.
Love love love this place. A must go. You won't regret it. I live the hands on stuff for kids and even curious adults like me!
Beautiful aquarium with fish from all around the world. Touch tanks and diver talks make for an awesome experience
One of the best Zoos in the US. Great exhibits and activities.
Very clean, modern, and interactive. This is a great place to spend part of an afternoon, especially on a cold day. There are many fresh and salt water exhibits that are well explained. Definitely worth visiting on a day off or the weekend.
Love the zoo! Never had a problem with this one, and we are happy to see the natural history area open.
All I was trying to do was get a closer look at the stingrays in their fancy new "touch tank" but when I strip to my underwear and hop in to swim around with the stingrays they call security to escort me out and ban me for life? Is not the point of a zoo to interact with animals normally found in the wild? I wanna pay $15 dollars to swim with stingrays in my city than for a plane ticket to Hawaii. Great zoo, fast security, but not good animal interaction.
Toledo zoo is amazing. Even when its busy the layout of the zoo means it's not crowded.
