Here you will see the feddbacks of real people who bought the products and services of Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park (Zoo) in the state of Idaho.
Now the firm has a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 1362 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is practically the best, and it is based on a very high number of opinions, so we may be quite sure that the score is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is included in the category of Zoo.
Fun place, not too busy when we went, which was during the week in the afternoon. They don't have a TON of animals though. No elephants, giraffes, rhinos, or hippos. Kinda my favorites. There was one tiger. Otter exhibit was empty for some reason. Anyways, for what it is, a small zoo, it's worth it.
I really wasn't expecting it to be nearly as fun and diverse as it was. I missed some of the bigger animals that are commonly in larger zoos such as giraffe, pandas, and elephants. But it was still great to see lions tigers and camels. I was really impressed by the economic price the zoo charges for admission. My favorite animals were by far the lemurs and monkeys. There are quite a few varieties and they were up close to the glass interacting with us. All around a great experience that I would definitely want having again.
I love this Zoo. Its quaint and has a smattering of all kinds of animals. We had just been to the zoo in Salt Lake City and this zoo was a million times better.
My friends and I were on a road trip and felt like making a short detour. We're glad we did!! The zoo is delightful with plenty of animals and friendly staff ready to answer any questions.
A wonderful experience to take my grandkids to. We go whenever I'm in town visiting.
Wonderful small zoo. Been here many times. It never gets old.
One of my favorite places to go with my son!! It never gets old!!
Small zoo but with some cool animals in there. Staff is very friendly!
Wonderful zoo and friendly staff. Thank you for the great time
Very small, tiny zoo. But the Lions gave us a show the day we went. So it was worth the $5 entrance fee via groupon.
Awesome place and great for kids of all ages
It was perfect, just the right size to keep little ones entertained, and with school being in session, you could take your time looking at all the animals, only thing that I missed was the lion, he was locked in his cage... maybe next time he won't be so shy.
Zoo staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Zoo is part of an international organization that is helping the lion and snow leopard numbers come back from endangerment levels.
Cute for a small local zoo. I'm from San Diego so all zoos are small to me.
$15 for two people to see a pretty comprehensive zoo. Small and compact but with plenty to see. Educational signs tailored for audiences of multiple ages. Worth the stop and a good addition to our day!
I was surprised by this zoo. I've been to big city zoos and this one is great for the small size. I will go back again and again.
What a great zoo. Tons of community events at night, they’ve done outstanding job for a small town zoo.
Small zoo nice choose of animals Trees keeps it cool to walk around.
Not too bad. First time in 30 years I go back to the zoo and I liked it for how small it is. My nephew loved it too.
Great, small zoo. Clean and the animals seem happy and well cared for.
Clean and fun environment. Lots of animals to see and the price was very reasonable.
Informative and a great place for the kids to get out get some exercise and learn about the animals. I reccomend going in the morning because by the afternoon the animals are napping and relaxing in the shade so you dont get alot of interaction.
For a smaller city, this is a great zoo! The kids always have a great time seeing all the different animals!
Fun small zoo. Loved the Lions and the Red Pandas
It is awesome and fantastic zoo too see animals is so cute to see and to lean where they are form for your family and your friends too
All of the animals were so active and visible. They are working hard to make it better and better.
Getting bigger and better every year and my kids love it like I did when I was little. Make sure to see the otters!!
I live going here with my daughter. It's a smaller zoo but well taken care of and lots of animals to see.
Love this zoo. It is perfect for all ages. It is small but they still do have lions, tiger, and bears (oh my). The monkeys and otters are our favorite. Don't go on a Monday if you want to see the otters as they will be cleaning the tank and won't be out.
Sweet zoo - animals were enjoying the nice weather. Children were having a great time.
I am from out of town, and glad I came yesterday. The zoo was quaint, clean, and well cared for. The junior staff that I interacted with were not that friendly however. I felt awkward when I tried to talk to him (he worked in the petting zoo). I wish some of the monkey enclosures had more space. But other than that, the animals looked healthy and well cared for. Thank you for the experience!
Fun place to spend with kids, but definitely eat before you go! Food prices are a little steep as expected. We love all the animals!
Had a great time with my kids. Such a reasonable price too.
Small but pleasant, good for little kids. Cafe is a small shack with slow service, but good burgers.
We saw the baby red panda today and loved the penguins and the otters!
Absolutely fantastic place! So may animals and what a variety! Its great to go there with the family or a group of friends. I would recommend going to this zoo to anyone with a couple of hours to spare. Plus the staff is so welcoming and nice, I most definitely will go again!
This Zoo is so awesome! It has really cool animals like a large zoo, yet still maintains a very natural feel. The whole place is nice and shady with trees and other plants everywhere.
Pretty good. They have most of the major animals, Lions, a tiger, bears, and primates. However; no gorillas, elephants, or giraffes. Good overall though. Worth the price of admission for sure.
Great little zoo, we had a fun day with our two little granddaughter s aged 2&3, they walked around the whole way. Very good day
Great small town zoo. Much better than you can expect it to be given how few people it would normally serve. Never crowded, always something fun to see.
Lots of new additions in the last few years
Smaller zoo but affordable and we loved it, plan to visit again!
Great place to take the kids! Fun little zoo that kids enjoy without having to drive to SLC.
It's small but a good zoo, very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable.
I liked it because it took a long time to see all the animals which gives kids time to get rid of their energy. There were a lot of people but it doesn't feel crowded. The kids got to touch the goats and the lizard.
Animals, Check! Cages, Check! A survivor style voting system for animal popularity, Check! (To clarify the animal voting just goes to some charity or improving the zoo... I mean I assume them don't BBQ the loser...)
Great for a reasonably priced small zoo. Whole family really enjoyed it.
It's a nice place to bring your your kids and your dogs and a picnic it's just a HomeTown niceness
Admission is fair for what's there. Good variety of animals. Gift shop was very small and crowded easily
I took my niece to this zoo to give my parents a rest from caring for her. She loved it. The duck pond was quite a hit, and she loved tossing the feed into the water for them. She was also fascinated by the tiger. There was a good half hour spent watching it stroll about it's area. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the zoo and how well ordered everything was. It was well worth the visit and I highly recommend it to any who are interested.
Visit this Zoo for the first time. Had fun with my family seeing those beautiful animals. Will. Visit again.
Best zoo around! Even better than some zoos in bigger cities. Great for families and they also host fun things for adults at night like Brew at the Zoo.
If they built me an exhibit here I would gladly relinquish my freedom to live in it forever. Hands down my favorite zoo west, east, over, under, or above the Mississippi.
Great local zoo with great staff and good variety of animals for its size.
This zoo is a great value. There is a lot of interesting animals and the habits are well maintained and easy to view. The price of admission is quite low considering the quality of the zoo.
Great zoo lots of animals for the kids to see and other fun activities. If your in Idaho falls you need to stop in and see the zoo.
Great place, great staff, great history. Your kids would have a lot of fun.
Great place for a good stop! It was seven dollars for adults. We spent an hour and forty five minutes and went to some of the animals twice. The Lions and otters were the best! The otters were so active and loved giving us high fives! The zoo is clean and tidy. The monkeys were also impressive. They had a lot of them for such a small zoo!
A fun day. Not all the animals but enough for a good day at the Zoo.
I was pleasantly surprised about the size and variety of this zoo. They fit a large and fun variation of animals in a fun little loop. The exhibits and animal where all fantastic.
For a small town, it was a great zoo.
Cute, little zoo of the highest quality. Was driving cross country and needed a break. Wonderful hour spent. Recommend.
For the area this is great! The animal exhibits are limited. You can walk the property in about an hour.
Great leisurely walk. Animals in clean natural habitat. About 2 hours to see everything. Don't miss feeding of the penguins.
It was alote of fun wish they would have prices where low income families could afford to go
It's hard to describe, but here I go, the zoo displays the animals and their surrounding so close to the animals original habitat and that made me feel like I had traveled to many countries. A must visit place.
Love this place. Want there twice when we lived there" great place to take family.❤
It was a small zoo, but it was good for the price!
This zoo is perfect for little kids. It's not a huge zoo, and some of the bigger animals were hiding and not visible, but it was really fun. My only complaint is that I belong to a reciprocal zoo and the website clearly said that I should get in free to this zoo (some are free, some are 50% off, so I always check before I go), but they would only give me a 50% discount. I probably could have pushed it and shown them the website, but it wasn't worth the effort. I just think they should probably train their employees a little better on how to tell which ones on the list are free and will ones are half off.
The best little zoo! They have a tiger for Lions a snow leopard! It's amazing and a super good value!
Smaller than other zoos but filled with unique animals! I love how it’s organized by region, and the zookeepers are very friendly!!
It's a small zoo, with suprising variety, and the staff is always so kind and eager to help and answer questions.
Had a great time seeing all the animals, they were pretty active and the walk wasnt too long. Would recommend a visit if you haven't been!
Great when it's not crowded! The lions and tigers is the highlight. It's a small and safe setting to let the kids run around and explore
Great zoo.........small but cozy they are opening up a new education center which I expect will be great. I have a season pass and it seems that the animals are very lively (depending on time of year). The people there whether it be workers or volunteers are very good and love to help.
For a small zoo it has some incredible animals. I love the layout and the atmosphere.
Small, but comfortable zoo with good amount of shade.
Had many animals that even larger zoo's do not have. Nice collection.
We got there late but had plenty of time to look around. The big cats and the different kinds of monkeys were the best things. Really enjoyed it.
Had a great dsy at the zoo. Shannon was so friendly and helpful. She made my visit a great experience and kept me smiling the rest of the day!! Thanks Shannon for your great customer service!!
Best experience at a zoo! It's small, so my husband and I went through everything in about 45 minutes, but we only were there for the last hour of opening hours. We were passing through for the weekend and decided to give it a try since tickets for us were so cheap ($7 each). Worth it!! So much fun and we were still surprised of the animals they had. Because it was right before closing (and dinner for the animals), I'd never seen them (especially the cats!) So active! Would come here every time and recommend to everyone.
Great zoo. Very shady from all of the trees and foliage. The animals seemed happy and well kept. The zoo keepers were friendly and answered questions. The children's area was fun for my kids, they got to pet the goats. It's a small, clean and kid friendly establishment.
Fun little zoo, I love all of the trees shading you as you walk through
This is an awesome experience and very affordable.
Great place for a family. It's a little small but surprisingly has some very rare birds.
Not a big zoo but great to take the little ones. Had a fun time here with the family.
Great little zoo. Pretty inexpensive and grandson loves it
Very fun for a small zoo. They have stroller rentals which totally saved us! They have a petting zoo but my daughter was not into touching the animals
I loved this zoo! All the workers went out of their way to help you. They even had stations where kids could learn more about the animals and in some cases get more hands on with them. And such a wide variety of animals! Definitely will be going back again.
An unexpected gem! This little zoo has a grand vision of education and entertainment through the beautiful and unique animals from around the world. With different regions expressed as continents, this zoo has many wonderful animals that one might not expect to see: lion, snow leopard, tiger, sloth bear, red panda, camel, primates, many species of birds, just to name some. You'll find many an adventure here at the zoo. You'll be glad you visited.
It was wonderful. Not too big and not too small. Well organized
We were driving through on the way to Yellowstone and decided to visit this zoo. It is a great little zoo! There is lots to see, and the staff is super friendly. I normally do not even like zoos, but enjoyed this one.
Great experience! Not the most comprehensive zoo, but for $7 a person it had a lot of the signature animals and was definitely worth it for our family of three.
Love the zoo got to see the new baby animals. Also the free reed’s dairy ice cream was the best
Perfect size zoo for a an afternoon outing. Loved the animals!
Had all my grandkids together for a great day at the zoo.
Great zoo! My kids love seeing all the animals. Especially the lions and tigers.
Nice place, employees very helpfull.
Fun place for a great price! Relaxing place to hang out and have a good time with family.
Great fun and educational for the kids. Great zoo. The staff is friendly and takes good care of the animals.
Loved the place. Definitely will visit again. It's a small zoo but they have a great diversity, plenty of species. The place was clean and well maintained.
First time there it was fun alot of Animals there i wii go back AGAIN before winter
This zoo is very big and very beautiful. My favorite animal there is the otter because they are the most playful. You get really entertained by watching them. The more then looking at animal. There is activities there like face paint, feed the penguin, and etc. The food is really for a really good price.
My wife and I love this Zoo. When you read about its size and low price you think you won't be getting much but this is one of the greatest zoo's I've been to. It's clean, has lots of variety in animals they're all usually pretty active. If you're ever in Idaho Falls you definitely need to stop by.
A surprizingly nice zoo for such a small town. Go in the morning or late afternoon. All the animals are asleep and mostly out of sight midday.
Wonderful exhibit's the kids loved it.
Great zoo for a small town. Four Lions!
The zoo is always fun for my kids. As usual, they loved it.
Good exhibits and a variety of life. Sad that we didn't know about the interactive penguins exhibit before hand, otherwise we would have made reservations. Maybe open it up to walk ins if there is space available, we would have spent the extra $ in a heartbeat. Otherwise my wife and I loved it.
Great little zoo. Small but you have a great view of the animals and the price is really good.
This is a small zoo but clean and is great from young kids.
Tiny zoo, but quaint and informational. The landscaping could use some work and the exhibits need a good cleaning. Entry sign would be great as it appears to only be a block wide from main road and you'll drive right past it.
Went to the lastthat night at the zoo it was a lot of fun and we did see bats in their natural habitat touching this water pond. we were offered a chance to see the Lions but without any lights it was very difficult and there was really no activity. The bats themselves though we're pretty really small and interesting
A small gem of a zoo. Spring is a wonderful time to visit. Lots of baby animals and the big cats are more active with the cooler weather. There is a children's zoo area. My favorite is the otters!
The zoo is always interesting to visit. Our favorites are the penguins and the monkeys.
Such a lovely little zoo. Lots of types and varieties of animals. Everything is really close together, which is good for little legs.
Great little zoo for the size of the town. Very clean. Only down side is the gift shop is pretty small
These guys are always great. Awesome little zoo
Great zoo for a small town.
I can't believe how cheap this zoo was! My wife, two kids and I was only $15! We will definitely be looking into a membership. I only wish we had gone sooner in the year! There were more exotic animals than I would have expected in a small, Idaho Zoo :-)
So know that this is not a very big zoo. Don't go in expecting San Diego, Oklahoma City, etc. That said, this is a darling zoo and we really enjoyed our two hours there. We saw lions, tigers, primates, all kinds of birds, otters, and penguins. All of the staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions. It is very little money for a nice little zoo. The tree canopy and environment help keep you cool as you walk through in the summer.
We have a membership to the zoo and visit regularly with our 2 & 9 year old girls. There's always something new to learn and the keepers are informative and friendly. Today was Carnivore Craze where they feed the animals on exhibit for everyone to see. The different kinds of enrichment they do with and for the animals to help them use their natural instincts is super interesting. You can spend as little as an hour here if you're there for a quick trip or find things to do that lasts for a few hours.
Great little zoo. The great Pyrenees was an odd choice.
Fun little zoo. Very nice park employees!
A lot better then I expected you a zoo that size. Great place for all ages
Not a large zoo, but it's laid out very nicely. The animals are easy to see.
Idaho Falls Zoo is SMALL, but I was impressed by how many animals they have. They even had some species that I've never seen at the bigger zoos I've visited. The price is very reasonable, and it's easy to see everything they have in just a few hours. Staff are friendly and helpful, animals are happy and healthy, and it's easy to get to. This is a great little zoo for the Idaho Falls community.
Pretty good for a smaller zoo. Animals seem content and well cared for also.
A very nice zoo. Just don't order food. It takes 30 min to make a sandwich
My grandbaby love it they had a lot of fun
Very nice to have a great zoo here in Idaho Falls. Very well managed
they don’t have a wooly mammoth there
While it is a small zoo, it has a lot to offer in all areas. There is a gift shop, food stand that sells hot food, drinks, and ice cream, as well as bathrooms, water fountains, benches, and there are rental options for carriages and strollers. Every sale earns the customer 3 tokens to place in a collection tank that goes to raising money for the animal displayed above. There are penguins, lions, tigers and a sloth bear, as well as monkeys, lemurs, and flamingos. On Earth Day, you can recycle items to earn free admission.
It's a nice little zoo. Reasonably priced and not too crowded, you actually get to see the animals.
Wow. Great updates on habitat for animals. I really enjoyed the vibe.
So awesome. The animals are great people who do the displays and take care of the animals have done a great job
Great admission price, clean, friendly staff, lots of animals to see and interact with. Totally going back!
This is a wonderful zoo! The animal variety is great, all the animals are well kept and happy, there is plenty of shade, some of the animals like to greet humans when they walk by (River otters and monkeys), there is a place to eat, a place to go to the bathroom, friendly staff, a petting zoo, and a kids play zone! There really is not much you can complain about this wonderful place!
This was a solidly mediocre experience. We could see almost all the animals in their exhibits, though we were concerned about the living environment for one or two of the animals that were large group animals and housed with only one companion. Over all the entire experience took all of 30 minutes and I would not go back.
Cute little zoo that is growing every year. Staff is always helpful and nice.
I love the quality you get for such an affordable price. All the employees are helpful too. And they have way more animals than you'd think!
Great place for the family, lots to see and do
Ok zoo not that big but good for kids.
Such a great local zoo! We came early in the season so it wasn't warm enough for all the animals to be out, but it was still tons of fun and there were all kinds of animals to see and interact with.
Great place to visit with small kids. The staff are friendly and the zoo exhibits are really good for its size!
I always love to do especially in the spring on the new animal for up
It's a very nice little zoo. My day didnt start out so good and I was in a grumpy mood. My wife, child and I went to the Zoo and had a really great time. I was a little surprised how large of a variety of animals they have. The flamingos were very active. There were some monkeys that played around a lot. The whole experience was a lot of fun. I hope they continue to add features to the park as it's going in a really good direction and has a lot of potential!
Really great small zoo with reasonable prices!
Nice zoo, enjoyed it but alot of the animals weren't out (which was just bad timing) ..disappointed with the food stand ..no deep fried food because of being broke which made it somewhat limited on your orders ..Was out certain drinks and waited awhile for just 3 hot dogs and a hamburger ..recommend eating before hand
Small-ish zoo, but cool exhibits and staff were really friendly.
We LOVE the zoo! It's definitely a smaller zoo, but you can go through it quickly (30-60 minutes) OR stretch it into a half-day activity!
I know this zoo is doing the best they can and they keep it good and clean and presentable. It is a cute zoo but they seriously need more space. The enclosures are too small and too many animals look sad and lonely being the only one in a habitat.
The zoo is pretty nice, considering the size of Idaho Falls. It is kept clean, and the animals look well-cared for. My family just purchased a family membership. My 2 y/o grandson and I will be spending a lot of time there.
During our family roadtrip from Las Vegas to Yellowstone we were looking for things to do on a short leg of our journey from Ogden, Ut to Jackson, Wy and we discovered this zoo. Las Vegas lacks very little but one thing it does lack is a zoo and we thought it would be a great stop for the kids and us to move our legs and check out some animals. Upon arriving we were immediately pleased with how the city zoo melts into the landscape and really feels as if it's not even there. The theming through out the areas keeps I terest up and never do you feel like you are just walking from cage to cage but more immersed in the experience. Despite this being a small zoo there are a healthy number of exhibits and animal species to view and the staff is informative and very helpful. The zoo is also a well priced attraction and gave us an easy 3 hours of family entertainment all for under 25 dollars for the 5 of us. Despite a great time and experience there are a couple things that may not be to others liking. This is not a large zoo and should not be compared to the likes of San Diego or Phoenix Zoo, but the price reflects that at 8 dollars for an adult ticket as opposed to 50 dollars at some large zoo's. Parking is less than to be desired here as there are very few spots available, you may need to park at am adjacent area and make the walk to the zoo. The minor potential inconveniences did not bother us in the slightest and we had a great time here and will be back if we are in the area again!
Amazing place with cool animals, lots of big cats. Always have a good time when coming here.
Love our city Zoo! It's always clean and the staff are friendly.
Great place to visit. We were there early i. The morning and the animals were all active. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
Great time with the family! The kids really enjoyed it looking forward to future visits!
