Staff is super friendly and accommodating. They might be understaffed though! Great place for little guys! It's not too big, so the kids can walk all the way by themselves. We spend around 1.5h there. Great petting zoo! Awesome that kids can feed the animals there! Our little one is fond of giraffes!!!! The only thing I don't like is that the animals are in the small cages. But hopefully they are treated well.

Brad Grochowski

The Lemur experience was unreal! The lemurs jump from person to person, it was wild and fun! My daughter loves lemurs and was overjoyed. The rest was great as well

Christine OBrien

This is zoo is the best zoo I have ever been too. Up close with these animals. You are able to feed them and pet them. I highly recommend this zoo. It has a tour that lasts about 45 minutes and you stop to feed animals along the tour. Best tour ever! If I could give more stars to this zoo I would.

Carrie Shatley

First time there and we loved it, definitely going back!

Zach Goins

This zoo may not look like much from the outside but it's evident that the workers care for the animals inside. Considering they do not receive any federal or state funding it's pretty cool. Plenty of animals to see while walking and then a 45 minute to 1 hour tractor ride is included with admission with several stops to feed the animals.

Mommabear N

Christmas lights/Wonderland experience was FANTASTIC! Once you drive through the lights= park and enjoy the other festivities at your own pace! Lots to do!

Andrew Greene

Loved the wagon ride! Highly recommend it.

Glenda Smith

This is one of several animal parks that you can take a wagon ride and see different animals up and very close. Some of the animals come close and you can feed them from your hand. But be warned, they'll try and take the bucket of feed from you. This would be a perfect trip for the kids or maybe a hangout to do something different. I've been here several times and I still get amazed.

The one zoo where you can see lions & tiger very near rather than we usually seen them packed inside the cages. And the peacocks are placed outside so that we can touch them. The giraffes are great, there we can take a selfie with the giraffes and they are very friendly with humans. Wagon trip is also a great place where we drive for 3 miles in open air, and we see byson, zebra, ostrich.... on the way and we can even feed the animals too but $ must be paid for animal food. Animals in the open place are free and they are friendly towards humans. You also see camel

Janet Hadley

Enjoyed all of the animals, being able to feed them and the wagon ride.

Josh Sells

My wife and 4 month old went tonight for the Christmas lights! 14 dollars is a small price to see my daughters face light up with joy! Everyone there was amazing and we had a wonderful night there! Thank you all! Highly recommended! For all ages

Tasya Denisenko

Nice place, friendly animals.kids are in a cloud nine! Giraffe is just my love

Very interactive and well kept. Extremely impressed - this was better than most public zoos by far

Benny Burleson

Friendly staff and easy access to all the animals.

Their close personal interactive experience is absolutely awesome. The price is a little over the top, but so is the experience. The rest of the zoo leaves much to be desired. If you are not planning on the interactive experience then don't waste your time here... go to the North Carolina Zoo instead!

Janet Gragg

I loved it!! Went with the whole family including grandbabies. It was an awesome experience!! Absolutely loved getting to feed and pet the giraffes. Wonderful place!!

Hayden Chambers

This place was AWESOME! I love feeding animals and seeing what they do, I would recommend going.

Beautiful Love

Hands down! Best zoo ever! Touch and feed these big beautiful gentle creatures.

David Sloan

This is an unassuming Zoo with no frills and well cared for and loved animals. This small Zoo impressed me more than many big zoo's.

Yari Hercules

They do not make the horses pull the wagon, they use a tractor which is great! They park is very large and not over populated with animals which means the animals have as much space as they might want. The giraffes are used to the people they are friendly and you can pet them and feed them!

Andrew Donatelli

My wife and I had a great time coming to Zootastic Park this past Saturday! We got there early so we could sign up for a 15 minute sloth encounter with Flash, it was a blast! We loved walking around the park, getting up close and personal with the giraffes, and taking the wagon ride. Flash was definitely the highlight though. P.S. - if you were the people playing YouTube videos of animal noises and shaking the cages to try and “wake the animals up,” you should be ashamed of yourself and never be allowed near animals again. Shame on you!

Kim Potter

Zootastic is seriously my favorite place in the world. All of the employees treat you like friends and are so informative and kind. You get to see a great variety of animals up close and personal. This is the best zoo I've ever been too, and it has become our yearly vacation spot. The animal encounters are worth every penny!

Adrian Polanco

Seems this time around, there weren't so many animals. But it is always fun to go.

Megan AC

I visited zootastic of lake Norman located in Troutman NC ...The giraffe is kept in a small room... can’t stand up straight and the only way the animal gets fresh air is thru a door way covered in wire. The carrots we was given for the giraffe were old, dried and some had mold. The room was about 20’ by 20’ maximum. MANY animal enclosures were too small including the white and golden tigers, both giraffe enclosures, Jaguars, wolves and many more. Most enclosures had excess amount of feces, little shelter, green water, and trash. Multiple animals paced back and forth(especially the big cats). During the wagon ride we noticed very little grass in the large enclosure were the zebras, llamas, wildebeast, donkeys etc are... there is electrical wire laying everywhere along the side of the road where the wagon drives. I saw storage tubs in many cages made into make shift shelters and I even saw a Mountain Dew bottle cut in half to be used as a feeding bowl in the cage for birds. In the hyenas cage there was a half eaten storage tub. Some of the water and/or food bowls had feces in it. A lioness had blood on the side of her face and down one of her front legs. The animals enclosures had mostly man made shelters out of concrete or wood, fire hose or wood to climb on, and some had the storage tub as a “shelter” or a run down carrier. None had trees or natural landscaping. None of the animals had natural enrichments, many appeared distressed. In the giraffes barn there were many birds in chicken wire cages. The small cage size you would usually house a small finch or two were housing multiple macaws, cockatoos, and other birds. The largest room in the place was the gift shop which is a shame. Some enclosures were empty. The servals, cougars, jaguars and 2 tigers enclosure had no space for them to run. The wolves were in a dog yard sized enclosure... they need and deserve so much more. I left Zootastic feeling very sad but motivated to be their voice.

Trevor Hadley

Lots of hands on, activities. Able to pretty and feed most of the animals. Very friendly staff and prices were very reasonable.

Aretha Hutchins

Had a great time. My grandbabies got to feed the animals. Nice place.

Glenda Chirn

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to visit here. My mistake. It was an amazing experience! Despite what I had read in one review, the giraffes were all located in spaces with plenty of head room & an open door to explore the outside enclosure. Yes, there were some birds in cages inside the giraffe barn, but the cages were not too small for the size of the birds -- many loved pet birds are kept in cages much smaller for size. The birds were quite raucous and seemed pleased with themselves. There was not a neglected animal to be seen. Free ranging chickens, geese, and peacocks everywhere. Did I see critter poop- sure! I’ve raised chickens and goats – animals do not poop in designated spots, or on cue. There was no filth. Just critters being critters. Watch the giraffes, though – they think your hair is hay! The staff were delightful, full of information, and very patient. I heard and witnessed so much love for these animals - including the Great Pyrenees guardians. As far as up-close experiences and feeding opportunities during the included wagon ride, the animals were free to choose whether or not to approach people. And, you are shown a video and given a talk about personal responsibility for your behavior and that of your kids before taking the voluntary wagon ride. Did I see two big cats in a smallish enclosure pacing back and forth when I went by? Yes… and, those same cats walked out the back door of that enclosure and followed parallel to me down their long outside environment (aka “catwalk”). So, “me thinks” they were not stressed, but just wanted a snack – me, perhaps? I took advantage of the senior discount, but felt like a kid today. It was so much fun. Larger than I thought it would be, but not so large it can’t be enjoyed without reaching the point of exhaustion. Go for a visit -whether you go as a kid-at-heart, take your kids, grab your grandkids, or visit with a group. You will not regret it. Just one more thing. Yes, they have a gift shop. Before I had left the gift shop to enter the zoo, I saw a sloth happily swinging (as in actually moving!) from the rafters and two joeys hopping about. Plus, there was a glass enclosure where the baby giraffes could watch us (as the zoo animals) shopping... unless they freely chose to walk through the door into their accommodating outdoor enclosure. I will be going back – soon!

Susan Campbell

We had a great time !

Sommer Nixon

Great staff! Fun for all.

Sarah Helton

It was a great first zoo experience for our family in NC. The kids enjoyed the tractor ride, the animals, and especially the hands on feeding of the animals. The only thing we noticed is that some of the cages seemed a little too small for the animals.

Ardeen Lucas

The staff are all nice and the animals seem healthy for the most part. I don't think theenclosures for some of them are adequate. The big cats need more room for sure. They were pacing too much and seemed very stressed. They seem to be doing renovations so hopefully that is resolved soon. Park is set up well and clean.

Hayley Walker

Amazing zoo with great animals, including some babies. The wagon ride is great. They have plenty of food and drink choices. Playground at the rear of the property with 4 different structures. Definitely an amazing experience!

Allison Hunt

Planned a surprise birthday party for my girlfriend, booked a private animal encounter. Everything was amazing and the staff was super friendly and helpful! 10/10 will come here again.

Brad Long

The staff is very insightful and helpful. The tractor ride through the venue was very nice and had close interactions with a number of animals. The only complaint is everything seems so disorganized a messy - I am thinking the facilty is going through some major renovations and hopefully will seem more natural as time passes.

Stribing Kimberly

What a wonderful adventure! Scotty Brown has loved and cared for these wild animals for over 40 years! It is a bucket list must!

GARY KOWAL

Family run and up close. Great for kids and adults Close to mooresville.

Cynthia Hicks

Amazing experience viewing the Christmas lights and all the animals. Our 1 year old grandson wad mesmerized. Will go again. Friendly staff and great gift shop to remember their visit!

Julie Brakefield

While I enjoyed watching my dad have a day out with the kids and I did overall enjoy my visit, the staffing and the cleanliness of the park left something to ponder. With Christmas well over a month behind us, I had to watch for random balls or strings of lights just laying around, the pond around the Lemurs looked like a Kale smoothey gone wrong, the giraffe pen needed a serious overhaul of clean shavings and lime or something similar to neutralize some of the horrific odor. The big cats need to be in larger pens and not to mention the signage needs to be updated and it should never leave the customer wondering what kind of animal this is and what to feed and not feed. The help wasn't very helpful nor friendly. I had to wonder around to figure things out and still am not sure what all they had to offer because no one bothered taking the time to explain anything. Not a single employee stopped to say hello, can I help you or can I answer any questions for you today? Not a single person. I felt like being in an animal park with the large cats and other animals that someone would be trolling around and protecting not only the animals but be available for the customers as well. I having managed a horse barn as well as raised a large amount of animals myself. I would have never allowed for them to be vulnerable to the public, the public uninformed nor the cleanliness of some of the animal pens to look so run down and outdated. Step it up Zootastic. Get a good manager and make this into a great place, not just an okay place to be!

Neil Cranfill

Great place see different animals and have interact with them. Great prices.

Madison Allison

So many memories here, ahh and the animals... so glad to have this place here.

Christy Collins

Fun daytime activity.kids will love it!

Samantha McGrade

Very cool experience that my family and I will never forget. We did the Safari with the two-toed sloth and got to see four additional animals in the encounter. The lemurs were my personal favorite. We also fed the tigers and saw the other animals around the park. It was raining so we were unable to go on the wagon ride, but we will do that next time.

Steven Helton

It was a great experience for me and my kids. They loved seeing the animals and petting them on the tractor ride. Rustic setting and country atmosphere made it good for me too.

Mandy Ratledge

Kids had a great time!! We even got to watch them feed a couple of the big cats!

No Name

We bring our daughter once a month she loves it.

W Reid

I didn't know what to expect heading in there, but it was nice! The kids loved it and the animals seemed very well cared for. They all seemed very active and very healthy, which is not like some of these off the road zoos sometimes. Some of the front office staff could be more congenial but the place is really cool in general. My daughter got the opportunity to hold the baby chimp for a few seconds too!

MusicMan Reviewer

On of the greatest private zoo's. The owner is always there. The animals all love the workers. I love the feedings. You can feed tigers, giraffes and more. The hay ride is amazing and the private encounters are the best. My favorite is the lemurs.

Beehive Carolan

Super fun.

Teresa Kelly

We did the animal experience. Lindsey did a remarkable job. We all had a great time. The camels were so much fun and spending the extra $$$ to feed the animals was so worth it. Can't wait to go back.

Christopher Mesquita

This place is depressing. All these exotic animals penned up in small small areas with no stimulation. Tiger was just pacing back and fourth the entire time I was there. People are nice, just don’t think they had the appropriate habitat, or care needed for these animals.

Jen Atkinson

Was really hoping it was going to be more amazing for the price. It was still fun, but overpriced.

Chris Whitehead

Totally awesome! First time visitor, will be back!

Ronda Collins

Absolutely amazing! I will go back!

Nicholas Merriman

This place is great! I had more fun than the kids. Weekday price is only about $15 per person and children 2 and under are free. It's a lot of fun

Matt Pascoe

Animals are kept in terrible conditions. The park for the kids are no assembled correctly and are covered in garbage. $14 per entry is extremely expensive

Robert Thompson

This zoo is amazing. Up close and personal experiences with many animals. Christmas in July, as well as the December lights, are the best in the Charlotte region... Highly recommend!!

Valeria Gloria-Barron

It was amazing I got to feed goats and tiger but with a stick and a giraffe and I got to touch a zebra! I had a good time with my family

Grace Horn

Every visit has been wonderful and worth our hour drive. So appreciate the obvious high-quality care that the owner, staff and volunteers provide to the animals and visitors. I strongly recommend Zootastic!

Marsha Pearce

Love taking my grandchildren there to see the animals.Lots of fun.

Al Dirusso

Very good family fun place

loreen sekerak

Had a wonderful time. Christmas lights are beautiful & such great animals-especially the giraffe. He was adorable & so friendly.

DAWN Roberts

The interactive encounter is amazing and a must do.

Déidre DeeDee Bermúdez

Family friendly, beautiful clean zoo, friendly staff, great place to visit yearly. What's even better is the Zootastic Wonderland of Christmas Lights...NOTHING COMPARES TO IT

Luay Alkazmi

Nice place to visit with family. You may bring some vegtibles (carrots) to feed the animals as they sell these for expensive prices. Liked it

Monica Jade

My family and I love this place! My two year old loved looking at the goats, chickens and llamas the best. There are other more exotic animals as well. My favorite was the giraffes! We were able to feed and pet them! We can’t wait to go back!

Matt Reeder

Nice walk around zoo and nice assortment of animals not normally viewed in the USA. The Safari ride was nice but didn't have a huge assortment of the animals to see as when you were in the walking tour of the zoo.

Justin Douglass

Absolutely one of a kind and great zoo! You can pet and feed lot's of animals and even go on a tractor Safari ride! Lots to do for not alot of money. An absolute must see!

Morgan

The most awesome experience I've had at a petting zoo!

April Nicole

Awesome place!! Took my summer camp group here on a field trip this summer and it was amazing! All of the kids loved it! They worked with us when our first scheduled trip was rained out and helped us get another one scheduled quickly! The staff was knowledgeable and fun to interact with! Definitely recommend!! The giraffe experience is like no other!

Brenda Madala

My grandkids and I had a great time. love being up close to the animals! I even got t pet a baby zebra! The kids loved the little white tiger and his story!

AC

What an awesome experience!!! The animals seem to really love their caretakers (and not in a, "they're just here to feed me" way). The owner is very kind and staff knowledgeable. Highly recommend for all ages!

jerald croyle

Overpriced but not excessively. Bigger than I thought.

Kylie Johnson

Great adventurer for all families

Mega Gengar Lucario

Great place for the kids and grandkids. Great place for family to get together.

Katie Ulrich

I had my daughter's Birthday party here. Upon entering Zootastic a group of children ran to see a tiger. To their surprise, the tiger was shot with a tranquilizer right in front of them. I understand animals will occasionally need medical attention, however it would have been best to tell onlookers what is going to happen so that they have a choice as to whether or not they are comfortable with seeing this event. Also when guests got on the wagon ride they got a cup of good to feed the animals. Instead of using the opportunity to upsale the food we were all spoken down to for jelping ourselves. Her hissy fit over the food situation went on for 10 minutes, even though we had already told her right away it would be paid for, along with the party. The large cats were in depressing small cages as well as the white dog on the wagon ride. I would say I would never go here again, but that would only hurt the animals here. I hope they can provide training for staff to be professional as well as better care for animals.

John Jonczak

Great place to spend the afternoon with kids

Real Life Mama

We went back for the Christmas lights. It has been about three years since we have been. It was so amazing. Not expensive at all. $7 a person is nothing for the 2.5 mile drive through some of the best lights I have ever seen. Less tigers this year and we liked that. They seemed happy. The kids fed a giraffe and a tiger for $5. You can’t beat the experience for the price. Definitely recommend. Our kids are 5 8 and 10 and they loved every second.

Terena Wilson

Nice place wish their cages was bigger

Bonnie Robinson

Our family loves Zootastic! The $13 feeding pass provides multiple opportunities to feed the giraffes and tigers, as well as all animals during the wagon ride. We've been going to this unique zoo for 6 years and the animals are always eager but not aggressive. Staff are friendly and informative. There are so many opportunities to touch animals that you'd likely never be near at other zoos. We've always had the best time at Zootastic

Maggie McCarter

I felt incredibly bad for the animals. The cages were small and not geared towards natural habitat... Normally I have no problems with zoos and the like, but this is rediculous.

Mark Berniolati

DISGUSTING & DESPICABLE. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ZOO. ZOO PROFITS AT ANIMALS' EXPENSE. EXPLOITS BABY SLOTHS, BIG CATS, GIRAFFES, PRIMATES, AND OTHER ANIMALS. THEY HAVE KILLED RABBITS WITH HAMMERS. THIS IS WHERE ANIMALS GO TO DIE A SLOW DEATH, CAPTIVE AND TORTURED. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR KIDS. THINGS ARE NOT AS THEY SEEM HERE OR AT ANY ZOO. INFORM YOURSELF AS A CONSUMER BY INVESTIGATING WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE SCENES. IF YOU CARE ABOUT ANIMALS, DO NOT PUT YOUR MONEY HERE.

Lindsey Kanoza

This zoo left me feeling really sad. I think they need to get rid of the enclosures, relocate those animals to a large zoo with large spaces, and stick to the wagon rides only as that area seemed humane. Such an incredibly sad experience.

Lauren Miller

Really fun, the animals seem to be well treated, and the staff was fantastic! If you want a very interactive experience, check this place out.

Dave Staehle

Sent our oldest boy to camp there and he had a blast. They really treated him well, and taught him a lot about the animals and their care. The park seemed clean, and the animals were all mostly kickin it somewhere you could see them. They have a tractor ride where the animals mob the trailer, and eat out of your hand, which our kids loved. Admittedly, I did too....

Travis R.

The enclosures and areas seemed small for the confined animals... They did say many are rescues, but there were more than a few that didn't look great. Wagon ride and feeding is a nice change from typical zoos.

Kimberly Drennen

This place is amazing! The animals are so close and the staff were super nice! All animals look well taken care of. We will be back again!!

Tonya Huntley

I came here on a field trip with my son. They have a lot of animals we saw giraffes, lions tigers, leopards and kangaroos just to name a few. We rode on the back of a wagon and feed zebras and llama's and some other animals. It's a great place to bring your kids to if you don't want to go to the zoo. They even have special packages to interact with animals. They also have a park and picnic tables.

Crank That Dank - Gerard Bae

Woo! That was fun.

Kimberly Baker

As absolute "Zootastic" experience for any animal lover! Animals everywhere! We loved the animal show where we got to meet some of the animals and pet them. We also loved the new wagon ride where you ride 3 miles on the wagon with stops allowing you to feed various animals such as goats, deer, bulls...even Zebra's will come up to you!

Richard Hagan 1

Amazing staff and great prices

Melanie Muehl

It was nice getting super close to the giraffes at Zootastic. BUT the only thing I could not bare to see was the fact that half of the animals were kept in the tiniest cages. 2 black leopards in a tiny cage laying in there own feces and can barely move around what kind of life is that?? The place kind of reminds me of a scary movie.. The lions looked sickly and had no shade. And on top of all that the workers are kids.. I am all for teenagers having summer jobs but we are talking about live animals and taking care of them. The whole place made me sick. These poor animals are living in a small cage of hell.

Bonnie Robinson

Our family loves Zootastic! The $13 feeding pass provides multiple opportunities to feed the giraffes and tigers, as well as all animals during the wagon ride. NHRA Deuce

Animal park is a lot of fun for the kids. Good variety of animals and many that can be pet. Went for the Christmas display and the family loved it. Well worth the price without long lines or ridiculous traffic.

Candii Mariee

By far the best experience I had today...Thankful it did not rain on us... Looking for a me and kiddo time definitely the right place very reliable and friendly.

Brandi Rash

We always have a great time we have gone with and without the kids. The animals are vast and employees friendly and knowledgeable. Very affordable as well.

Lyndsey Ogrin

We had a great experience. My only con is that the grounds could be a little more appealing and organized. Otherwise, the staff was wonderful and we got to see all of the animals except for maybe two because they were sleeping.

Barbara Cockerham

First time at the park..soooo fun with granddaughters!! Great, knowledgeable, friendly staff!!!" Will go back soon!

Logan Brenneke

Animals seemed very confined and sad. The lions got mad because we were so close to them and the Male seemed like he was trying to "spray" us. Neat thing to see but a little too close for comfort. Overall it just didnt feel like the animals were happy and I was disappointed seeing them at this place.

Dave Arnold

Was a Awesome place. I got to hold a sloth in my arms. We throughly enjoyed our visit and our chat with the owner of the zoo. We highly recommend this place.

Deana Trenchard

We really enjoyed taking the kids for Easter. They were able to feed giraffes and see all types of animals.

Michele Cregger

Amazing zoo that is absolutely fantastic!!! Highly recommend and will be back again real soon!

Dale Bishop

Awesome group of animals. Loved the Super Safari.

Craig Pasquale

What a great place. Just the right size for 2 year old grandson who loved it. Especially the wagon ride.

Shawn Shaffer

The park itself was okay, but the hour long one-on-one animal viewing was spectacular!

Marlin Dailey

No zoo is perfect. The staff at Zootastic is great. Some of the animals may be in what some consider small habitats but they are well cared for and not abused. Some of the comments here are unwarranted and hateful. They are probably put here by paid activists. I moved to NC from Columbia, SC and was used to going to Riverbanks Zoo. Zootastic is privately funded and is doing a good job caring for their animals. The animal activists should worry more about feral cats in cities than bothering people who are actually taking care of the animals they have.

Anita Maloy

Had so much fun here. Got some good laughs out of this drive thru zoo. There is also an area to get out and walk around and see more animals. The have 2 big turtles here. There is pinic areas to eat but no food sold here. Just ice cream.

Wanda Krumroy

Had a great time with my son. The animals are amazing. Great place to visit

Kristen Millsap

I loved seeing the animals! Me, my daughter and my husband came to Zootastic with my daughter’s school. We had a lot of fun and we loved getting to feed and pet the animals. Maybe y’all could get some Sloths.

Ann Marie Mills

It was a lot of fun and not crowded. My granddaughter enjoyed feeding the animals.

Sherri Leonard

Great place to go and see the animals.

Fawn Roark

Really neat little place that was fun, complete with 2 giraffes you can feed and pet. We couldn't do the wagon ride due to weather, but it was still fun!! We enjoyed it and they also had an adorable baby giraffe.

Ryan Mcclinton

Not your average zoo. But there's a good cause behind it!

Sheron Stevenson

a very wonderful place to take your children and family excellent staff very friendly people very clean environment highly recommended

jimmy christy

Really nice place had a lot of fun will be going back

Jeremy Perdue

What an amazing day. Nicely layed out, staff was awesome, great value!

Trevor Gardner

Great place. You'll enjoy it.

Holly Myers

My kids have so much fun here. They always have so many activities going on and living so close is awesome. The staff is sweet as can be and the prices are very reasonable considering what you get.

Jack Fallin

My Wife and I enjoyed it very much. The wagon ride was definitely an experience! Loved seeing All the animals...

Ange D

Great little zoo! Owner is hands on and nice! Staff is friendly!

Doug Faldowski

Great place for kids

Debbie Yarnell

Love this park. Interactive.

Anique Tiwana

After doing some research, it is apparent that the animals are not kept safe here. This is not an actual zoo! Don’t support this.

Will Alexander

This is the best zoo I've ever been to. I love how close you get to the animals and how many different ones there are. I've been going here for years and plan to continue going back. They've added a ton of new encounters, and only raised the admission by one dollar since I first went, if I remember correctly.

Heather Barr

Field Trip with my daughters school and all of us enjoyed it. I loved that there was a wagon ride so we didn't have to walk the entire time there. All of the kids enjoyed the picnic/play area and seeing all of the animals. Would love to come see the light show when it is going!

Arpita roy chowdhury

My daughter loved it..

Black Houdini

Love this place. We come here twice a year and I’m always amaze by the lights during Christmas. Also feeding the animals is another big highlight of mines

This was such a great place employees are so nice . Great place for the whole family. Would be great if they had some type of water area for the hot days.

Hands down best zoo I have ever been to. You get to get close with the animals, feed them, and pet (some) of them. I also feel that this zoo does a great job of taking great care of these animals. Definitely a great family friendly place to spend the day!

Very family oriented, hangs on education & VERY CLEAN & ORGANIZED. Excellent small zoo. A great way to introduce your children to animals.

Had the best 1-1 experience with the monkey, kangaroo, armadillo and lemurs. Our tour guide was awesome! The grounds were so beautiful and after our tour we visited the giraffes and they employees were so sweet and came over to give us crackers so we could have a more interactive experience. It was well worth the drive and money. It was a lifelong dream of mine that was fulfilled and I’m so glad it was at zootastic :) love u Maggie!!!

So I had one of best days of life today, no lie!! This place is beyond amazing and so worth every minute of the drive!! The incounters you can have with the animals even the ones in there enclosures are by the the best we have been to! The staff is amazing and after meeting the owner it's easy to see his love and passion for his animals, they are his family!! We will be going back very soon!!! And can't wait to have some more animal encounters!!!

Nancy Johnson

We had so much fun at zootastic. It's nothing too fancy but you get to interact with the animals, everything it pretty reasonable priced and my kids loved it. Looking forward to going back.

Andrea Bastidas

The park is nice: lights and animals are amazing, but the traffic past 6 PM is terrible. We spent like 1 hour try to get into. If you want to enjoy the experience and don't let the waiting can be frustrated, you have to arrive before 6 PM.

Todd Milstead

Took the family there and was so excited. The kids really enjoyed the interaction with the animals. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will 100% visit again and again.

Best experience ever! We went through the light show that was PHENOMENAL, then we were able to go through and interact with the animals in various ways. The animals are beautiful, and exotic, and I’m not sure who had more fun, my 2 year old or me! We will definitely be going back. There was an outdoor fire, s’mores kits, feed for the animals, a carousel, indoor and outdoor animal experiences. Interactions with giraffes and tigers! The owner talked with us for a while and was a super nice fella! We loved our time at Zootastic.

We went as a Family and had the most wonderful time...however it did become extremely hot around 12PM...but other than that we absolutely loved it.....

Octavio Soares

A very nice small zoo! Animals are well kept and enclosures are clean.

Brandon Esty

I think this zoo needs pachyderms. From o.k. to great.

LeDonna Sotomayor

A variety of animals to see. Plus, you're allowed to feed a good number of them! Worth a look

Great place to spend a day with family.

We got here a little after 4. The zoo staff was a little hesitant to let us pay to get in just because it takes a while to really walk around and enjoy everything. We wanted to take the wagon ride since you can see everything that way but the park closes at 5pm everyday it is open. We were not staying in town except for two days so this was the only day we had and we couldn't get to town any sooner due to work so we worked with what we had. We ended up paying the 13.50 per person to get in and bought some giraffe crackers (3 crackers per cup and we got 2 cups). This was the best part - feeding the giraffes. I had never done that before and I love to feed animals. We opted not to pet them since they pulled back at bit and I don't like to force the animals to let me pet them. We took a bunch of pictures. We got to see some lions, lemurs, leopards, hyenas, cougar, sloth, monkeys, lynx, zebras, wallaby, tigers, gibbons, peacocks were just walking around free as well as some other birds that I did not recognize, camels, wildebeest/water buffalo?, barnyard animals like goats, chickens, calf, etc. We did not get to see all of these animals but we saw at least half. Part of them you could only really see with the wagon ride and part of them were in their little shaded areas where we really couldn't get a good view. I don't blame them at all as it was super hot out. They do have animal encounters that you can pay for and I would have loved to do that but since we weren't even sure we were going to be able to make it to the zoo I didn't want to spend a couple hundred and not be able to experience the encounter. We will probably never be back in this area again but if we are we definitely would try to work our schedule to take the wagon ride and schedule an animal encounter to be able to pet and hold different animals because that would be absolutely awesome. Do those if you have the time and money for the encounter!!! It was super hot out and we were sweating all over but it was worth the 50 minutes to walk around the parts of the zoo that we had time for and were allowed to (part of it is only available to the people who take the wagon ride and we missed that by about 5 to 10 minutes of our arrival. My boyfriend also went back to get some feed for me to feed the goats, calf, and little deer looking animals too. I have always really liked goats. I have milked one before and fed them by the bottle before too. The little goats are really awesome to be around. We took a look into the reptile area (not my favorite area) and we were about 1/4 of the way in the door when one of the zoo staff was actually going into the main room to get one of the snakes because it had escaped. It was just trying to hide. That was a bit of a shock but I didn't feel my life being threatened or anything. She just picked it up and put it on her shoulder and brought it back into the room where it belonged so it could get fed. The serval was really walking along side of the fence and several of the other animals actually walked up to the fence and looked at us about 30% of them I would say. I thought that worked out well since it was so hot out and they didn't really need to do that for us. Anyway, there was one of the deer looking animals that followed me along the fence. I assume you can feed them and that is what they were wanting but I didn't see any food nearby to get to feed them. Maybe that is at the front desk to ask about. If I ever go back I will have to get a lot of feed for all of them!!! The giraffes and goats were my favorite out of everything. Not being able to access everything by walking was the least favorite part of this zoo for me. They also have ice cream, a gift shop, places to eat inside, etc. You should spend at least 1.5 to 2 hours here to enjoy everything (their recommendation when we were buying tickets) even if you do not do a special animal encounter.

We love going to Zootastic. Our kids can't get enough of this place. The facility is always upgrading and you can tell the animals are well taken care of. We love the light display at Christmas time that you can drive through.

Sheryl Ross

Grounds are not well kept. I fell into a hole on the path causing damage to my knee. Did not enjoy spending the rest of the day in pain! First aid consisted of them handing me gauze and ointment to fix myself! Not impressed!

Brad c

Great place to take your kids and not expensive!

Sam Vowles

This place is fantastic... Scott (owner) is awesome, as well as the staff... My 2 year old daughter wakes up asking to feed the animals, " It's ANIMAL DAY!!!" She asks so often that we now have season passes... Great family fun, affordable, and it doesn't hurt keeping my money local... Thanks Zootastic crew... You guys rock!

Julia Kinderknecht

My husband and I were completely blown away! This zoo offers close up encounters with breathtaking specimens of exotic animals. The animals are very tame and friendly, so most of them come right up to the barrier and put on a show! The white tigers, giraffes, binturongs, lions, gibbons, and free-range peacocks are a must-see, but honestly there was nothing at this zoo that I didn't love. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the animals seem happy and well cared for. One of the best days we've had in a long time! We will be coming back!

I loved the animals! They were hilarious and cute! The giraffes were funny, along with the ducks! The animals were pretty tame and the employees were super nice! The gift shop was amazing to, the things there weren't to overpriced.

Kenneth Barnett

Some of the comments seem to be negative but I couldn't see anything negative here. Animals are well taken care of, staff is very friendly and helpful, a very nice little zoo. I highly recommend the wagon ride totally awesome

Steven Fredell

Its an amazing experience family owned and they make you feel like your are a part of it. So much better than ANY OTHER zoo I've ever been to. Whether you have kids or just one at heart you must experience this place.

Very nice zoo. Lots of animal interaction

Sarah Michelle

The animals are obviously well-cared for and happy and the people who work here love what they do! The animal encounter was so worth the money to be able to hold & take pictures with animals! They have almost every animal I can think of and I can't wait to be back!

skylar j

This is awesome to have around the area! Nice friendly staff! The kid loved it! Great experience

Bri Babington

Staff was very friendly and informative about all the animals. It was a small place but it was a perfect. Animals were amazing.

Amber Kinder

Took two twin boys here, 3 years old, and everything was so kid friendly! We fed the animals and there was a small train the boys got to ride (both kids only $5 total). Amazing experience for the price!

Jennifer Wright

We went to North Carolina to visit Great Wolf Lodge. After the first day, the kids were ready to do something different. We found this place in a brochure and decided to give it a try. I am so happy we did. The experience was amazing. They were able to feed the giraffe a cracker from their mouth. The up close and personal interactions with the other animals left them speechless. We will definitely visit here again.

April Moses

Always fun and gives you a different experience than the typical zoo.
