REVIEWS OF Nashville Zoo at Grassmere IN Georgia

Megan Johnston

It was so nice and clean!!! Our entire family enjoyed it!!! Their hours are weird though so be sure to call and ask about hours before you go.

Breanna McGrew

Not very many animals but a wonderful experience and the prices are amazing. They told us that they are now going to be open year round, which is great. They are planning holiday in the park and other fun events.

Bradley Roberts

Awesome zoo. My kids loved it. They also have a few rides and animals that you can interact with.

marianthompson69

We had a great time at the zoo. We went to see Frances the tiger in her new exhibit. She was looking regal in her home. So beautiful. I was so excited talking with the zookeeper that I forgot to snap a picture. No worries. We ended up grabbing season passes. I enjoy spending quality time with my family. We made good memories on this trip.

Ethan Sanders

Pretty good zoo! What they do have seems well taken care of and is displayed nicely. Animals like the Gibbons seem to have a nice spacious enclosure with diverse landscaping and great trees to swing from. I feel like you kind of expect a zoo to have certain "staple" animals like lions and elephants, which they don't. But the exhibits for the tigers and Andean Bears are good! Really not expensive compared to other city zoos, so a great time for the price of admission!

Andrew Pakstas

Great zoo, but I'd avoid the barbecue place they have. Found a delicious piece of barbecue plastic wrap in my pulled pork sandwich when I bit into it. Maybe a little more attention to detail on behalf of the staff would go a long way.

M B

The Nashville Zoo pretty much sucks for the price. I'm from Toledo, OH and the Toledo Zoo is $2.00 more for adults but it's worth it up there! The Toledo Zoo has every animal you want to see at a zoo. The Nashville Zoo is great for toddlers due to the activity ship they have. Other than that it's not a very good zoo at all.

International Tiger Day was a Roaring Success. Beautiful new exhibits. Some older areas refreshed. Lunch in the cool and refreshed dining area was delicious, quick, and relaxing. Watching a surgical procedure was very intetesting. Frozen lemonade was the perfect end to the day.

PB C

Very nice zoo. Lots of food places and gift shops. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Amanda Alldaffer

Finally made it for a visit and loved it! The grounds and exhibits are beautiful and thoughtfully laid out. Lots of shade and the paths are well maintained. Several of the exhibits are tucked away so it really didn’t feel crowded on an overall busy day. The restrooms are clean and even have exhibits! The kangaroo encounter is fun and unique- I feel most zoos would charge extra for this, but not here. Overall, very fun and unique zoo for all ages. We’ll definitely be back again!

Nina Brabham

What a fantastic zoo! The exhibits are beautiful and the staff is super friendly. We loved watching the kangaroos learn to finger paint. This zoo was so magical, it reminded me of Disney World ☺️

Mark Mallory

I was very impressed compared to the last time I was here five years ago. They have a great area for kids to run around and play. Exhibits were good. I have a special place for hippos, so I'd love to see some get a place here some day. But the animals they currently have are worth seeing. Lots of construction going on, which is a good sign that more things are coming.

Kenneth Stem

The kid in me loves zoos. Nashville's zoo has gotten much better over the years. Still not on the level as Memphis zoo but that does not mean it is not worth going to. I enjoy this zoo and like to visit when I can.

Dan K

Very clean facility. Staff was friendly, the animals were as active as they could be given that it was 100 degrees out. Pretty good shade on the walking paths. I'd go back if I could

Louise Soskin

It is a beautiful place! Well-kept! And they really seem to care about the animals and making sure that future Generations will enjoy!

Daniel Hauger

I enjoyed the animals! The best thing was feeding the lorikeets! Next time I think I want backstage passes and a guided tour! The BBQ sandwich at the cafe was amazingly delicious!

Krista Crowder

great place to take the kids. kinda don't like the rhino, giraffes, and very center being so far from the biggest portion of the zoo (and mostly uphill for us wagon pullers), but the animals are great and I love the updates to the tiger exhibit and the new bear exhibit. I don't like having to pay for special event tickets since I already have an annual membership but I get that the proceeds do help but the reason I buy a membership is to get in as much as I want free because taking my family of 4 here would be costly otherwise. but over all there's no negative experience for myself or family here. great zoo, great staff that talk a lot to visitors. they seem to genuinely enjoy working here.

The Nashville Zoo is a great place to bring younger children during school hours to gain an interactive educational experience. There are tree canopies that offer an abundance of shade and cool breezes, even on 95 degree days! There are also indoor exhibits and water stations throughout the zoo.

hayley beckwith

There is a large amount of walking half of which is up hill. If you spent the ten dollars on the free refill expect to only get one more drink cause there's only to places to get them refilled with a half hr wait...at least you can bring in your own food and drink. Bring sunblock and water

Shane Correa

Tonight was a good night to enjoy it's entirety. Not to crowded and the weather was perfect. What truly counts is that my granddaughter had a fun time.

Chris Paret

My first time at the Nashville Zoo was a great experience. It was a hot day but the canopy above us made it feel good. We spent 4 hours and still didn't see everything. Get the souvenir drink for free refills, and also bring that cup on your next trip to the zoo.

Analies Fraser

Highly recommend! It's well laid out with so many animals. Grounds are clean and staff are knowledgeable and friendly!

Maura Fertich

This is an amazing zoo with lots of animals and shady walkways! My parents and I were impressed by how the exhibits were set up so that you could always see the animals no matter where they were situated. It's not a large zoo, but you can spend a good half a day here, especially if you have small children or are visiting with people who like to take their time at each exhibit.

shannon carney

Very clean, loved the monkeys in the bathroom!! Only the womens. Family had a wonderful time! Very pricey once inside, but the money obviously goes to caring for the animals. Had a great visit and 3 hours is more than enough time.

Leslie Losey

Glad they finally have most animals out for exhibit! Also really loved seeing the new exhibits. Definitely will be back

Mikey Murphy

Really enjoy the Nashville Zoo! The tiger area and veterinarian additons are very nice and neat to go see. The kiddos always enjoy the kangaroo exhibit where they may get the opportunity to pet a kangaroo.

Marty Black

An excellent zoo! Very well designed enclosures for the animals and walkways for people. Even on a 90+ degree summer day it was easy to walk through the park without working up a sweat. The walkways are mostly shaded so you don't have to spend much time in the sun.

Heath Matlock

The Jungle Gym is huge and so much fun for all ages. The older kids enjoy the Soaring Eagle zipline - you can see the whole zoo at the top. The younger kids enjoy the carousel. The bear and tiger exhibits are our new favorites. They're also air-conditioned. The food is a little pricey, but it's pretty good. If you want, you can pack a lunch and take it in. Fun for the family!

Jennifer Johnson

Such a beautiful zoo! And if you're female check out the women's bathroom near the bear exhibit, it's one of the coolest bathrooms I've been in.

Melissa Stone

Very nice zoo. I felt admission was high compared to other zoo's I've been to but we still had a great time. The staff was very knowledgeable

Vanessa Crowe

I purchased the tickets online before arriving along with two parking passes. No one took the parking passes or even ask for them. When providing the entrance tickets I ask if they wanted my two parking tickets, she said no, we don't need them. It was a rip off online to pay for parking. We entered the gates at 9am no one was there and we left at 5pm and no one was there!

Kendra Martin

Great zoo! We love visiting different zoo's because they always have different animals. We went when they first opened and all the animals were super active, including the reptiles which we normally don't see being active. We loved the animal shows and the park was very clean and maintained. People were cleaning the park the whole time we were there too. My favorite part was getting to see the vet clinic, I love that it gives you a viewing of everything they're doing and a look at the animals and new babies!

Amber Morton

It's a really nice zoo and i love that the animals had such space! The only thing is the viewing areas are very small. When it is busy or if you have a stroller it's hard to get in there and see. The zoo was nice and clean. Also the layout it a bit confusing. It's a more organic layout which is cool but hard to navigate.

kendal penick

This is one of the best zoos I've been to. Is really easy to navigate around, all of the animals look very well taken care of, and the workers are all super nice and helpful.

Kayak Angel

Loved it, loved it, this was our first time and we will come back again. Had a great time, wasn't crowded, plenty of shade and lots of walking. Lots to see and learn, priced well, lots of parking and friendly staff. If you haven't been here and you love wild animals you need to visit this zoo.Thank you Nashville Zoo.

Yvonne Findley

It is a nice size and well organized. Shaded paths keep you from getting overheated. The viewing areas are well placed do you are able to see the animals even when they are inactive.

Beth Slusher

Who doesn't love animals. Never a line and you get to see some great animals all while getting some excersize. Recommend to all. The only recomidation is to clean the swamp for the turtles.

James Lucey

Amazing zoo, everything is done so well. More like a sanctuary than a zoo. Beautiful property

Bev Harris

Currently at the zoo and I am impressed. I visit a lot of zoos. Neat, well maintained and helpful staff. I will be back on my next trip to Nashville for sure.

Isha A

This is one of my favorite zoos. It isn’t huge or fancy, but I love how well it’s set up. They do a great job of making their facility seem natural and well blended into nature.

Ellis Redevelopment

We loved this zoo! The ground sand habitats are beautiful. Everything isn't all on top of each other and there is lots of shade. Being able to into cages with some of the animals was a unique experience (birds, kangaroos). They had every animal that you would expect to see at a major zoo. My favorite, as always, were the giraffes and th he lemurs. We were there on the Tuesday afternoon after Labor Day. Most of the concessions were closed, but we weren't there for that, so we didn't care. There were probably 10 other groups in the park at that same time, it felt like we had it to ourselves.

Jennifer Seal

We loved out visit to the zoo. Even though it was hot there is lots of shade as you walk around. The animals are kept in what seems a more natural environment. Really had a good time.

Edward Owen

Fun and well structured. I enjoy going once or twice a year.

Laura Belrose

We had a blast at the zoo! There are many different animals to see! It was quite crowded but we bought our tickets ahead of time and were able to enter quite quickly. There are many different things in the gift shop that were reasonably priced.

Mishtiel Deanmon

Besides the rude people that don't know how to say excuse me, the visit was fantastic. I went there for a field trip with my daughter and the entire class had a blast. There are a lot of animals and you get very well informed about them. The enclosures are kept clean and safe. The animals look healthy and happy. There were workers there cleaning up as you go so praise them. Every worker I came across was friendly and helpful. One of my favorite parts of the zoo is the petting zoo. I love the goats. Please go visit them. They do not abuse animals. They are great and it's a fantastic learning experience.

Dana Robertson

If you love walking and don't want to see animals, this is the zoo for you. Nice habitats but things are too spaced out. I was very disappointed by the selection of animals, for some reason I thought this was a better zoo. Perhaps it's new and they haven't had time to finish building, I hope so as the potential is there. Again lots and lots of walking with no animals to look at.

Sierra Wolf

This zoo was amazing. Sadly we came on a hot day so we got tired, and didn't get to see everything. Totally worth it though. Just wish they had mist stations for hot days like this. I believe it would benefit from the mist stations. I highly recommend going to the zoo when visiting Nashville!

Rick Bennett

We took our grandson to see the animals and no one was disappointed. Very clean with excellent vantage points for viewing the animals. Worth the trip.

brittany Keith

Such a wonderful place! Always so much to do my daughter loves it!

Courtney Light Salazar

One of the best zoos we've visited. Habitats were amazing, good variety, and even on a busy day we didn't feel crowded or rushed. This activity was one of the few kid friendly things we did on our Nashville vacation.

Philip Busk

This is a wonderful zoo. Loved the large martial space enclosures and seeing the animals. Truely a great place to spend the day.

Kristin Griffin

Everyone loves the zoo! Great place to bring the family and spend the day with the kids seeing all the wonderful animals!. Never a dull moment at the zoo!

R P

This zoo is excellent! It may be small compared to, say, the Memphis Zoo, but they're still growing, and I'm always impressed with their new exhibits. The keeper talks are always fun and informative, and the behind-the-scenes content they post on their social media is so cool. The new vet center is impressive, and I can't wait to see what they do next!

Stephanie Rokosz

It’s a small zoo but well taken care of and had some great exhibits! The information on the tigers was informative and I loved being able to pet the kangaroos!!! Watching the bear training was cute and I was happy to see the interns taking such pride in the animals and their work. Walking into the bamboo rainforest area (where the red pandas and spider monkeys are) helped with the heat and was quite impressive! Don’t pass it up just because it’s small!

Amandeep Singh

First zoo that i came to that had all the exhibits open. There were sections where you can touch the animals. Overall great experience for couples or families with kids.

Snezhana Knysh

Very good zoo. It was a very hot day but we felt pretty comfortable as it has a lot of trees. Many animals, you can pet a kangaroo, watch the bear swim, surprises in the bathrooms. Lots of fun!

Wayne Rock

Very nice. Enjoyed the layout and seeing animals is habitats instead of cages

Matt LaMotte

Purchased an Annual Pass and haven't regretted it once! We've been a few times now the kids absolutely LOVE this Zoo. There are plenty of attractions where you can be hands on and some where the view is worth the trip itself. The Kangaroos are definitely the coolest part. Being able to stand right next to them as they hop around is pretty awesome! Highly recommended!

John Hood

The animals looked well taken care of and healthy the amount of animals was a little on the light side really there was tons of room for other exhibits but nothing but pathways. Be ready to walk half a mile between exhibits. Guinea pigs dont count as exotic

Kristen Anderson

Got to hang out with the Roos and feed them! birds land on your shoulders in the bird room! And the tiger was just as friendly as could be. Two fully grown adults had a great time at this little zoo. Especially on a buy one, get one free Friday. Brought our lunch so we only spent about $25 (including tickets and parking) for a whole day of fun! Recommend you check it out!

chrystel flake

Walk walk walk... great layout decor is amazing and exhibits so well thought out must see... our children loved the flamingos

Carol A

Absolutely loved the place, especially being able to pat the kangaroos!! Only down part was the amount of walking! You should consider having a tram or something to help people get around since the place is so big!

Jessica Owen

As always our family had a wonderful adventure at the zoo. It is always clean with clear pathways and excellent maps so you can plan where to go. Our family lives the 'hands on exhibits'...kangaroos, tortoises and goats. Listening to the keepers talk about the animals and watching them be fed is a treat. The memberships they offer are a very good deal if you plan on visiting a few times a year. Besides admission you also get discounts while you are there. Well worth a visit either for a couple hours or the entire day. The clinic is a wonderful learning opportunity.

Elizabeth Sholar

Love this place! The new Tiger Exhibit is awesome, as well at the veterinary center! My nieces and nephews love visiting to see what's new!

Cesar Andres

Friendly staff and fun animal exhibits and attractions, but the Red Panda was "Temporarily out of exhibit" despite the fact that it was advertised everywhere around the zoo. (Gift Shop, Banners, etc.) We noticed that it was in a small cage next to the exhibit. It also wanted to get out.

Virgilia French

Had lots of new things since the last time I visited the zoo 4 years ago. I enjoyed the walk through the bamboo forest and observing and seeing different kinds of animals in their natural habitat. Seen the monkeys swinging from tree branches, bears playing with each other, tiger sleeping, rhinos and giraffes. The cafe inside the zoo serves good sandwiches and starbucks coffee. Very enjoyable experience! Will go back to see Zoolumination in November.

Adon Mallory

More like a Disney theme park than city zoo. Well designed, happy staff. Great layout and worth a trip.

Jonathan Cassagne

A good zoo. Clean, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of wildlife. The enclosures are well made.

Etta Lea

The animals seem content in their well-maintained habitats and the staff seem to genuinely care about the animals in their care. Beautifully landscaped walkways with plenty of shade made this an enjoyable visit even though it was 99 degrees out! Environmental education and conservation awareness are a strong (but not overbearing) component of the experience. We will definitely be back.

Pat Britt

Wonderful zoo. Great variety of animals, birds and maybe snakes. Lots of people took advantage of the cooler day to bring their children. Signs were helpful as well as they map we got when we got there and alll the employees were helpful.

Tammy Georges

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a wonderful place to take children. There are lots of places within the zoo for children to explore, learn and pet animals! And as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed my visit too! I can now say that I have gotten to pet a kangaroo and a pig in the same day. One is very soft and the other is not! Go see for yourself! Fun day!!

shannon Johnston

Love this zoo! They really focus on the conservation of the plants and animals. The animals all have great qualities of life and they make sure to keep up with the health and saftey of the animals. I worked there for a summer in 2018 and it was a wonderful company to work for too!

Vincent Vilay

Been here a few times. Place is always very well kept and employees are pretty nice. Animals are kept in places that are appropriate for their size and range and offer them plenty of space to roam around instead of being cooped up in some itty bitty tiny enclosure. Nothing bad really to say about this place.

andre mendoza

Potentially the greatest Zoo I've ever been to! Even with Nashville's brutal summer heat and humidity, this zoo offers a lot of shade and places to take breaks with tables. All the exhibits were beautiful and all animals given substantial space. None of the animals looked miserable. The petting area was a ton of fun with the goats and pigs. We even were able to pet a kangaroo. The gigantic gift shop had great options and variety. They even have a few rides which was cool to see at a zoo. I'm telling all that I know to make a trip out to this zoo. A Plus for sure!

Justine Dunning

Even in TN heat there were many exhibits in ac and most of the walk ways are under shade of bamboo. Clean park friendly/knowledgeable staff. Great experience.

María Fernanda Martínez

Great place to share with family and learn about nature, even a little bit of history! Animals look healthy and the environment is well maintained, interesting facts about the species are shown, and you can find lots of places to sit and buy food/water if you get tired. Prepare to walk a lot and have fun!

Jackie Flynt

the zoo was awesome! However when we went into the farmhouse the first lady doing the tour got rather rude when someone asked if they had spirits in the house. It was just a question. A simple answer of no we don't think so would have been enough. But she went on and on like it was the worst question in the whole world.

Carnivorous Meat

The theme and landscaping maintain a feel throughout. We found a walking path that allowed us to see every exhibit with minimal retracing of our steps and kept our visit to within a couple of hours. There were many opportunities that allowed us to directly interact with the animals (without having to pay for anything special). Touring the original mansion house that the original animal sanctuary was founded on was truly unique.

Sara Roberts

This was my first time in years visiting the Nashville zoo! They have mad so many improvements! It was very clean with plenty of fun things to do for all ages!

Dee Witt

Fun for the whole family. Love the new exhibits and improvements being made. Beautiful, especially in the spring and fall.

Simon Kilpatrick

I've never had a bad experience at the Nashville Zoo!! The zookeepers are always ready with fun animal facts or even just to have a conversation with you! I've been here multiple times and after every trip, without fail, I always end up saying, "This was our best zoo trip yet!" I highly suggest you visit this place!!

Stefanie Delinois

This is a great zoo. A great place to take kids and a stroller. Be sure to check out the women's bathroom by the bear exhibit for a fun surprise.

dRumpf tRump

Very clean. Happy animals. Meerkats seem like they need more space but overall wonderful. Smiling, helpful staff. Wonderful energy/ambiance. 11/10 will be going again

Robert Langley

We've been 5 times now and it never disappoints. If I lived in Nashville I'd have a season pass. Always being up graded. Clean well taken care of. It's got a little bit everything and the kids love it. The playground is out of this world. The coolest I've ever seen.

Don Lines

Nashville zoo has gotten better and better. The exhibits are very nice and will maintained. The new veterinary center is really cool with the new flamingos. The zip line thing is fun. The playground at the zoo is one of the best I've ever been to, so much that I would go there and not see any animals sometimes. My kids all love the zoo and you should definitely try it out.

candace whitehead

The water fountains that we stopped at to refill our water bottles(to stay hydrated in the scorching heat) were barely working for not working at all) and it took forever. Other than that it was a good family experience. Id probably go again when its not in the 90s outside so the animals are out and about more. Good experience. Make sure to bring extra water if you go in the summer

Joan Cotton

LOVED the Nashville Zoo. Do come prepared to spend a significant part of your day here. It's huge, with lots of awesome exhibits. Additionally, you can tell that the zoo takes care of animals that cannot take care of themselves. Rather than leave them to die in the wild, they bring them here to live out the rest of their days in peace. I can't say EVERY animal is here for that reason, but it's nice nonetheless. They even have a veterinary office on-site with an exhibit of its own. Great gift shop, too. Coming from Houston with our own amazing zoo, I would say I highly recommend this one!

Erin and Mike Tarumi

Not your typical zoo. More natural feel with lots of trees and plants along the walkways and large enclosures for the animals. Kids will drop their jaw in amazement at the huge play structure that seems to cover a couple acres. Only negative I would say is there aren't all that many animals. But it appears the zoo has more land they can expand into, probably just waiting on funds.

Tracey Ammons

The animal enclosures are position wonderfully, we loved watching and hearing the monkeys while eating lunch. The food was delicious and buying the refillable slushy cups was an excellent money saving ideal. My only complaint was we bought tickets to feed the tortoises and it was closed when we arrived on the time going by the instructions on the ticket, which upset all our children.

Jonathan Karr

A large zoo in terms of sq. Footage but in terms of the amount of animals it falls on the smaller side. Many enclosures include no more the two of any animal. A few of the exhibits are very well constructed, the tiger enclosure for an example, but there's only one tiger. Overall if your looking for a nice Saturday afternoon with the family or a date idea, this is a good spot. If you are hoping to see a world class zoo I wouldn't include this on that list.

Emily Smith

Amazing, went for boo qt the zoo and the people were really amazing and helpful. Loved the tour of the Croft house

Kevin Johnson

One of the best zoo's I've been to; this particular zoo features plenty of historic relics including a beautiful mansion, Grassmere mansion. The monkeys were a little riled up and the kangaroos were shy, but one did eventually come to me and let me pet her. The staff is well educated and eager to help and provide information. In short we had a blast!

Carrie Dieter

Great Zoo!!! Visited for the first time and ended up buying a season pass as we just loved it.

d cope

Nice layout. Exhibits, grounds, and facilities are well kept. New exhibits like Andean Bears, Sumatran Tigers, and Spider Monkeys are exceptional. Nice variety of healthy animals that are well cared for. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to take the family!

Julia Champe

Beautiful grounds, great exhibits. Great variety of animals & many opportunities to watch big cats & more in outdoor habitats. Educational and visually interesting at every turn. Gentle curving paths through shady groves, lovely seasonal lighting for night visits. Friendly, competent staff and servers.

colton drake

This is one of the best zoos I've been to. The exhibits were great, style and detail was great. Plant life was fascinating, loved the bamboo forest. Overall a great place to spend the day.

John Turner

This zoo has a nice variety of animals and the displays and designs of the environments were very well done. My only complaint has nothing to do with the actual zoo. All I will say is that it gets tedious rather quickly during hot weather, so go early or pick a cooler season to visit. It's a great choice for roughly two hours of fun.

Emily B

Very clean and a nice layout. Definitely recommend visiting the vet facility. The snow leopards are beautiful and their Guinea pigs are adorable

Josh Bisbee

Good setup. The layout takes a little to learn. Lots of shade. Not to many animals out today. The kids enjoyed the jungle gym.

Samuel Baker

Our first time going and my kids really enjoyed themselves. Lots of different animals and plenty of fun things for kids to enjoy. I highly recommend a Zoo membership.

Deisy Valdez

Loved it! I had not been here in a while and it has improved a lot! Animal shows are great. It is pretty clean, but could be a little cleaner. The staff, of course, could also be a bit more friendly.

Gali Basel

Super fun zoo. Has the best playground for kids. The zipline was a hit as well. My personal favorite was to pet the kangaroos and feed the birds.]

Roi Sevilla

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a wonderful place to take children. We also loved the 'hidden worlds' indoor exhibit. It was packed full of interesting reptiles explore, learn and pet animals! And as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed my visit

Adam D

this place is fantastic. My son and I go here at least once a month. We've been yearly members for the last three years. We love going there to see the new exhibits and the remodels. Also boo at the zoo is fantastic if you love trick-or-treating, we go every year

Irandira Gonzalez

So big and lots of animals. The parking is great and all the employees are extremely nice. I’ve only been there once but I definitely want to go back! Something cool you can touch the kangaroo!

Joseph Norman

A wonderful place the family loves going to the zoo. It is expensive to eat and drink in the zoo. I understand the cost of taking care of the zoo is expensive as well. The zoo keeps getting nicer every year. My kids love seeing all the animals and playing on the playground. There is also rides like a small train for very small kids. Also a beautiful carousel and a kind of high zip line type of ride you sit in.

Jason Johnson

The wife and I had a ton of fun. Very open, clean, and well laid out. Everything was able to be seen and the staff was really friendly. For food try the TN BBQ Nachos! For the price you get A LOT OF food and that is some of the best pulled pork I've ever eaten. Highly recommend bringing your family up for a visit

Kumar Pooran

So how do you give zero star? This place is boring, long walks that leads to nothing interesting. The prices for entrance and parking ridiculously high. Virginia Zoo much better way cheaper and free parking same animals plus elephant rides and more go visit. Will never recommend Nashville Zoo.

Jeremy Jankowske

Okay zoo. Better than some city zoo's that are almost solid concrete with few trees. This one had nice landscape and you were never too far from the shade of a tree or an exhibit building to get out of the heat. They have a small farm section with a bunch of old implelements that was out of the ordinary. The aquarium and reptile exhibits were pretty good. Selection of "regular" animals is lacking and nothing really stood out there. Definitely worth going if you are in the area.

Clara Robinson

This is an amazing zoo with lots of animals and shady walkways! Definitely bring the whole family there is so much to do here. Prices are high as expected it's a zoo but totally worth it.

michelle Jobes

Beautiful zoo! My daughter and I had a great time. Very informative staff. The veterinary clinic has baby snow cubs and some birds. Loved the way we could watch them do procedures or just watch the babies.

Nikki Sasser

We haven't been to the zoo in over 4 years. Wow! What a pleasant surprise to see all the renovations and upgrades! It is truly a beautiful zoo!

Kenneth Smith

Had a wonderful day here with my family, I'm only leaving this review to make the day and time. The staff were friendly and sweet, the animals were cool too... But ya know... It is a zoo

Michael Katterjohn

Great zoo! About 4 hours to see everything. Loved the tigers, bears but no lions. Meerkats were a lot of fun. First time I've seen Guinea Pigs in a zoo. Very cute.

Jennifer DeChant

We have been to several zoos in different states, and we loved Nashville's. The grounds were so clean, and the overall environment is lush and beautiful. We felt like we were on a nature hike. The grounds are just big enough to spend several hours, but not overwhelming.

Julie Sinko

Beautiful Zoo. Wonderful place to stroll and simply have fun. in one of the ladies rooms there is a floor to ceiling glass windows where you can stand and do tiny black and white monkeys. now that's some creative architecture.

Benjamin Stork

Amazing place for kids and the membership is worth every penny. Even when crowded there's plenty of room and plenty to see. Good food available as well and the kids love the playground

Susan W Shafer

A fun place to visit with grandchildren. The gibbons were our favorite - lots of activity. Unfortunately I was too tired to walk to the Savannah to see the giraffes. Maybe consider adding a golf cart ride for those who need help.

Adam D

this place is fantastic. My son and I go here at least once a month. We've been yearly members for the last three years. We love going there to see the new exhibits and the remodels. Also boo at the zoo is fantastic if you love trick-or-treating, we go every year

April Trowbridge

First time to this zoo last Saturday and we were blown away! Absolutely gorgeous place to walk around, and the variety is incredible. The staff are patient, fun, and informative. There's always water and a bathroom close by, and I was shocked by how clean everything was. Can't wait to come back!

Paul Joiner

The zoo is laid out well and flows nicely. My family goes a couple of times a year and we have annual passes. It’s nice for a casual morning or afternoon. Never too crowded. You will spend a couple hours here and be happy.

Jonathan Solomon

This is a wonderful zoo with engaging exhibits. The grounds are also immaculately cared for. Unfortunately the animal enclosures are spaced far apart with many meandering paths between them. The beauty of the surroundings was dampened by the confusion in navigating them. They also offered refillable soda & slushy options but once again the refill locations are fairly spread out.

Irandira Gonzalez

So big and lots of animals. The parking is great and all the employees are extremely nice. I’ve only been there once but I definitely want to go back! Something cool you can touch the kangaroo!

Vanessa Carvalho

This was a fabulous zoo. It's so clean and we'll kept. The grounds are beautiful. The exhibits are so nice to see and nice for the animals too. A lot of shade to get you out of the hot sun. The price was great. Definitely a place to see if you are in the area.

Trina C

It is a very nice facility! The upgrade from years ago makes it worth the price of admission! We loved our day.

Janice Sensing

The animals have nice, clean enclosures. There is a petting area for children, lots of learning opportunities. Clean restrooms, snack and food areas. Personnel were friendly and helpful. A good family experience.

Allison Appleton

I loved the new Sumatran Tiger exhibit. The docent was excellent and so knowledgeable too.

Brandi Beech

Fantastic for people with children or no children. Exhibits are gorgeous and well maintained. Animals are beautiful!

William Alderson

I am glad Nashville has a zoo. And this one is a pretty good one. The only problem is that in their effort to give the animals something closer to their real home and more privacy you often can't see certain animals when you look in the area they're kept in.

Cruz Nestler

Great zoo for a quick 2 hour stop! This is a relatively small zoo but it makes up for that with many of the petting exhibits! Want to pet a small Kangaroo?! This is your zoo then. Bathrooms are spread a little thin but some of them have AMAZING exhibits inside of them... yes inside them! Men’s: Ironically is a Snake exhibit and Women’s: is a small monkey exhibit! Very cool and clean place. Family oriented!

Elizabeth Jones

Totally awesome experience!! Its definitely worth the extra $14 to buy the arm bands. They allow you to feed some birds and tortoises, and ride the ride as many times as you want.

L Pan

From NY and have been to several zoo's one being the Bronx zoo. The Nashville zoo was so impressive and reasonably priced. Highly recommend and great place for the kids.

Kim Baugg

Great place to go..my daughter and I went Saturday and had so much fun.. can't wait to go back soon ☺️

Tomáš Kroupa

Very nice zoo. You can walk it through in 2 hours. The animals have very nice and big coops and all the animals were visible during my visit.

Joe Cribbs

I always have a good time at Grassmere Zoo with my daughter. Doesn't matter that we have been 7 times this summer, we always love going back.

J Miles

This was a great zoo. There were a variety animal exhibits with interesting bits of information. There was a lot of shade, and they mixed music, foliage and facilities throughout the zoo to pull into the exhibits. Stop by the Veterinarian Hospital, because it had great viewing windows. They mixed the zoo with restrooms, places to refresh, and other activities that keep the kids engaged. We especially enjoyed the hands-on in the Aviary, by the kangaroos, and the farm. One last thing that cannot be over emphasized is the play area. It was huge. It gave our kids an awesome workout at the end of a 3- hour trek through the zoo.

Lisa Martin

i brought my 4 year old grand daughter and my 11, 15, and 16 year old nieces to the zoo on Wednesday, August 14. There were things for everyone to enjoy! No one was bored and everyone went home talking excitedly about their day! Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

Xiaohouzi .Huanghou

The best zoo experience I have ever had. I have been to The Columbus Zoo, Austin Zoo, Oklahoma City Zoo...but Nashville is the most attractive, cleanest, best exhibits and the employees are kind and thoughtful.

Lauren Russell

This is the best zoo I've been to and definitely worth the stop if you're visiting with kids. They can go in and pet a kangaroo as well as some other animals. Theres a huge EPIC jungle gym that kids could spend a whole day on. I highly recommend getting a membership. It has been amazing to have, and allows us to take shorter visits with my toddler who doesnt yet have the attention span for the whole zoo.

Angie Mckinney

Clean bathroom, nice family atmosphere. Everyone says drinks are expensive. Buy free refill drink suvenior cup when you first get there. $10 but we refilled it 3 times so wasn't bad.

Jeff Coffey

Great family day. This zoo is pretty nice. Kids liked the playground and the Soaring Eagle.

Connie Langton

Very well orchestrated, awesome interesting and we'll balanced for all ages. Rentable wheel chairs, strollers and motorized chairs for those who need. Prices reasonable staff helpful, just go visit, you'll be glad you did.

Sarah Wallis

It was really exciting at first and then after a while me, and the two others with me noticed 1) it’s a HUGE area and exhibits are spread out very far (forgot to wear my walking shoes) and it’s EXTREMELY hard to navigate, dead-ends, never ending loops. The paths connected to other areas that looked like offices or empty park areas but didn’t have signs saying that the exhibits ended and wasn’t marked on the map so it was really confusing. 2) a lot of the exhibits that were nicer were inside, the tiger exhibit was neat but it was hiding so I could barely see it 3) it’s more of a mini ‘theme park’ than it is a zoo, you walk in and see zip lines and playgrounds but very small signs directing you to the actual exhibits & 3) all of the exhibits that we wanted to see were ‘closed due to temperatures’ but based on some of the other reviews I think it was the staff putting them away early before closing. Not terrible, but poor directions and lack of communication kind of spoiled it for us

Stephanie Roberts

This zoo was so awesome! Better than any zoo I have ever been too!

Jennifer Perron

Wonderful day to enjoy the Zoo! The animals were beautiful and the Chinese Lanterns we're captivating. My favorite habitat was the monkeys, they swing from branch effortlessly!

Naomi Turner

If u have children there is plenty of stuff for them to play on. It's very beautiful here, they are starting to decorate it for Chinese festival of lights.

Chris McKee

Great experience, well worth the money and the drive. Animal show was great. Enclosures were well kept, animals were lively and active. Zookeepers were well trained. Took back ideas to use at my zoo. 4 out of 5 stars because several of the staff members could have been a little more polite and helpful, it was mostly the younger ones. But overall recommend this zoo and I will be back. I see comments based on other zoos. It’s a bit unfair when you compare a privately owned “for profit” facility to a facility run by parks and recreation services. Of course free is better but private facilities wouldn’t stay open long would they? I never complain about the money because for the most part it feeds and homes the animals. As far as enclosure size USDA has regulations on this, please research before you bash a zoo. We’d all love to give animals football fields to roam in but it’s just not always possible. These enclosures were a good size. The zoos appearance was wonderful.

Ryan Arthur

The Nashville Zoo is becoming a world class zoo! All of the new exhibits are breathtaking, not only because of the animals, but because of the enclosure areas they are building. The new tiger exhibit is phenomenal! And where else besides Australia can you get close enough to a Kangaroo to pet them. I also love all of the member benefits and extra events they put on as well, like Boo at the Zoo and Zoovie Nights! Additionally, the cafeteria is surprisingly amazing. My wife and I actually went on a lunch date and pretty much ate lunch and left. I highly recommend the BBQ Mac!

Danielle DeFrank

Really nice zoo but the reptile area was very cramped. The reptiles look very ill treated. There was algae growing in most of their water bottles and a lot of the enclosures were way too small for the reptiles. A lot of the enclosures were empty and many of the other animals were alone and showing very anxious behavior. I feel like I would not go again because I don't support treating animals that poorly.

Denton Allen

It was great my family went to Boo at the Zoo and my three year old had a blast. It was setup very nice like normal and very worthwhile for me and my family. It is a little pricey but worth it if you have kids that are under the age of 6. They even had some animals out too which I really liked even though it was nighttime. We will go again for sure.

Ted Binkley

Very clean and good views of all the wild life. Lots of shade. Easy parking to entrance. Very laid out for the animals and the public. Very impressed. A must go to place for young and old. Can't wait to go back.

Meg's List

Love how animals have natural habitats. Good variety. Very family friendly. Clean, exotic, great architecture on the buildings, and wonderful, fun design of the whole place.

Dusitn Venz

Very well shaded, and the exhibits make it easy to see all the species most times of the day. I've been to many zoo's and this one has very nice trails and is well maintained. The "shows" are at 11:00a.m. and 2:00 p.m. central time.

Lindsey Hatchett

Love love love!! Awesome priced membership. The kids love it. The playground is epic

Randi Renee Long

First time going to this zoo and it wont be my last! Super fun and I got to pet a kangaroo. I only wish they had penguins haha

Missy Taylor

It is a decent zoo. It was good for our 17 month old grandson who didn't really know what he was looking at. They charged us all 3 for activity tickets when in fact, he was the only one that needed one. The tortoise exhibit was closed so we didn't even get to see them. We did enjoy the shaded paths that a lot of zoo's do not have.

Spencer Goldade

This is a gorgeous, really well designed zoo. We strongly recommend it if you have kids or care about the welfare of animals in captivity. Where we had trouble was with some of the narrative surrounding its history and how it was presented. It's no secret that the zoo moved to this location after a historic family sold it. You can see plaques all over one area talking about how slaves were "needed," for the original farm to run. A few years ago, in 2014, many of the slaves graves had to be relocated. You would think this would be a good opportunity to show these people more respect, but instead they received regular stones as grave markers instead of any identifying or anything more presentable. Meanwhile, the "masters" still have an elaborate graveyard, filled with obelisks and nicely carved markers. Why not something to honour these nameless slaves who built and ran this farm? And why not a more suitable narrative surrounding them, the family that owned the land, and the farm's history? It felt as though the narrative here was okay with and sympathized with these slave owners. We were glad that the historic home estate was the last part of the zoo we saw, because the rest was absolutely lovely and still very much recommended.

Jody Janczak

This is an awesome zoo! Plenty to see - you can easily spend a half or full day exploring. The Sumatran Tiger exhibit was our favorite! Those photos are on my Nikon. We like the natural enclosures throughout the zoo. No animals pacing on cement slabs here.

Zach Hendrix

By far the best zoo that I have ever been to! The enclosures should've considered the gold standard in my opinion. Everything seemed natural and the animals seemed very at peace. Everything had a great view and didn't seem too distant as well.

bonita Hall

The zoo is awesome! We take our grandchildren there a couple of times a year and the experience is always really great. They especially love the play area with the bridge and swings. We really enjoy the new exhibits too.

Robert Melancon

Love all the exhibits here. We spent the whole day here and only got half of the park explored with how much we enjoyed each area. The giraffes were spectacular and the indoor reptiles were pretty awesome as well. Spent a lot of time at the rhinos and zip line with my son. Glad we got the annual pass, it's worth it to really be able to enjoy yourselves.

Ken W

We visited the zoo for the first time today and are really happy that we did. The zoo grounds were really amazing with all the plants and trees; labels on many of the plants was a nice plus. The selection of different animals was nice, too. A few too many of similar if not the same frogs would have been better but this still didn't change our level of happiness with the Nashville Zoo.

Michael Gicking

Absolutely beautiful zoo. Gorgeous decorations, the animals look very happy, and there's tons of information posted about.

Spencer Goldade

I love the atmosphere of this zoo. It's a bit small but they have great expansion plans. I can't believe how close you can get too giraffes! The theming is top notch and reminds me a little bit of Disney World with the attention to detail and care they put into it. We have any passes and love the playground and toddler area for our daughter.

Michelle Fortier

Stunning zoo. Clean, animals in gorgeous natural habitat, staff friendly, fun animal interacting with feeding opportunities. Great food options. Love grassmere. Feels like something at Disney

Raine Dawn

I will never attend this event again. It said there would be limited tickets sold.... We were shoulder to shoulder, with no space to breathe or sit! Not nearly enough park employees.. to police all of the overly self entitled mom's, who were sticking their kids over fences and inside the exhibits! Pushy, raced through at a rushed pace! This was a huge disappoint for what you pay, and how it's presented. I'm not sure I'll be going to any future event at the zoo. I will also be telling everyone I told that we were going...NOT TO GO.

Kimberly Jannetti

Beautiful zoo! Not too big to see everything and not too small to feel like there's not much to see. Lots of shaded walk ways between exhibits and LOTS of real foliage in enclosures. Very "natural" enclosures. Really glad we got to visit!

nickol lugo

I've never been to the zoo like this before every animal have ever seen in the zoo before has been caged like totally caged and I thought this was amazing. It was amazing to see the animals roaming and how nice it looks it's not have bunch of cages and it was just beautiful. And I tried the Zipline and it scared the s*** out of me but overall cool. I want to go again but on a cooler day.

Samantha DeSanto

The perfect place to take your kids to learn about conservation! All the exhibits are built to provide the animals with the best life and show you what proper conservation looks like. The staff is nice and the zoo is clean.

Christen Rodes-Warren

We had a great time. Lots to see and explore. Plenty for kids. Everyone was very friendly. Everything inside is expensive. Bring your own snacks and drinks if possible. Make sure they can be sealed to put back in a purse or backpack because some exhibits do not allow food or drinks. A lot of exhibits required you to leave strollers behind unattended. We didn't get to do most of those. I wish you could bring the stroller in or at least have someone watching the strollers so you don't have to carry every single thing in with you. Overall it was a fun trip. They also offer a military discount. I think it's 10% off.

Mike Stephens

Totally awesome zoo with many cool animal exhibits. It would be hard to pick a favorite, but the monkeys and "kangaroo kickaround" are really great. Nice vintage carousel ride as well. We never get tired of going here!

Tiffany P

Amazing place to go and have a little fun!! A lot of walking though so wear some good shoes to stay comfortable

Lizzy F

The Nashville Zoo has everything from Kangaroos to Tigers to Miniature horses. We especially like to go see the farm animals and the barn. Has something for everyone.

Kim England

Family came to the zoo for military appreciation day. We were able to get in free and see some of the up coming zoolumination that is coming up. Very neat trip!

Savannah Rector

This zoo is nice. We have been to many zoos across the US, and Nashville zoo is nice. The landscaping is perfect, the amount of animals is good and my favorite addition is the veterinarian center. Seeing the baby animals is a nice touch that we haven't encountered in other zoos yet. The zoo membership prices are a good price, the ticket price is about average for a zoo. The concessions are a little expensive, but the best part about Nashville Zoo is they allow guests to bring in a small cooler. We are a family of 6, so I pack a lunch, and lots of water and we find a nice spot to eat. There is a lot of nice shady grassy areas to spread out a picnic along with tables and benches all over the park. Nashville zoo also has areas to refill a water bottle. The bathrooms are always clean. This is a great way to spend the day.

Ben Bennett

Such a great experience for the kids! The jungle playground and trackless train are usually the main attractions for us. Recently the new tiger and bear exhibits have been a hit too. You can get soooooo close to the animals. It’s amazing.

Alexandra Hill

Awesome zoo with some unique animals. The gibbons were our favorites. We also loved the 'hidden worlds' indoor exhibit. It was packed full of interesting reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Food and drinks are pricey, it's a good idea to bring your own. The Friday deals in July and August are awesome, we got buy one get one free tickets by showing our Kroger plus card. Would visit again!

Peter Felice

Amazing zoo! My wife and I were in town to see Queen with Adam Lambert and had an extra day to kill, so we thought we'd check out the Zoo. I've been to zoo's in Indianapolis, Louisville, Erie, Chicago and Lansing and so far this is my favorite! Also - love their BOGO Kroger Plus Fridays. We happened to be visiting that day and that was a plus for us!

Chad Herig

Lots of fun for the whole family. Very well kept and clean. Lots of animals and activities. Cool inside aquarium style place as well. Lots of cool paths do walk down, bamboo forest to walk through and they are always adding new experiences and animals. Beautiful place. One of the finest zoos I have ever been to. Definitely bring the whole family there is so much to do here. Prices are high as expected it's a zoo but totally worth it.

Jacki Bailey

It was over priced!! We saw a tiger sleeping. A kangaroo she could pet. A bear zebras giraffes. We liked the petting zoo the best pigs goats. Won't be back for awhile

Kyle Smith

Awesome zoo that has really grown and with an exciting future. New Vet area is really impressive. Kristen Smith is a phenomenally engaged and knowledgeable intern!!

Zach Hendrix

By far the best zoo that I have ever been to! The enclosures should've considered the gold standard in my opinion. Everything seemed natural and the animals seemed very at peace. Everything had a great view and didn't seem too distant as well.

Katherine Stevens

This zoo is a little on the small side but if you are looking for a fun day trip I would highly suggest the Nashville zoo. The new tiger exhibit is really nice and the tiger is warming up to people and will walk right up to the glass. I've been going to the zoo since I was a kid and never realized the history of the beautiful house on the property. Also, the new veterinary clinic is amazing because they have baby snow leopards. All the staff was amazingly friendly and I had a great time. This is a fun place for all ages.

Dan Young

Five things to know about the Nashville zoo on Grassmere. 1. Buy the the collectible cup for $9.00 save money with free refills. 2. BRING SUNSCREEN! 3. Bring extra cash. 4. Get the day pass for unlimited rides.(kids) 5. Show up early at opening time. This is a such a lovely zoo, the work they do is amazing all of the animals look healthy and well cared for. The staff are exceptional, snacks and drinks are a little salty on the price but always amazing, the Andean bear and the Sumatran tiger enclosures were breathtaking and the animals were so beautiful and amazing that it was a joy to witness them healthy and happy. If you have kids I advise you to Bring them here if your in the Nashville area. My daughter is 10 months old and loved every second of it it was a tad hot but it summer in the south. There are multiple drink stations to get a refill on drinks and snacks see the tips at top. Overall it's an experience the entire family can enjoy.

s smith

Tons to see. It's really done well. Lot's of attention to detail. Walk through Kangaroos, Pet Goats and Pigs, Rope bridge, and lots more.

Aubrie Candler

We had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. As a mother of a potty training toddler, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the restrooms. Thank you Nashville Zoo for a great day!

Nancy Emme

Well maintained, beautiful space. You can go inside the kagaroo exhibit and pet one! Hand wash station right outside for your health. Some of the trail signs are confusing even with a map - you can miss an exhibit, so be careful. Expect to spend three hours to see everything. More if needed.

John Spano

This is one of the best zoo’s I’ve been to. Very clean and organized. The living environment for these animals is unbelievable and can tell these animals love where they live. Definitely recommend visiting while in Nashville

ambika m

Really great zoo. Kids will surely enjoy. The place is clean and well maintained. Just take care of the entry fees as the rates varies between weekdays and weekends. Rates hit the peak on Saturdays. There is also a parking fees.

Paul Burton

Very Clean Facilities, Neat & Orderly. Impressed that most animal areas have zoology interns/students explaining extra details about most animals with types of food, favorites toys and replica skeletal bones and teeth giving greater detail of certain animals. Surprised to see animals from the Galapagos Island's and the Kangaroo Petting zoo!

Kayla Ball

Went here for my 20th birthday with my husband. This was one of the best zoos we have ever been to. Beyond beautiful. We easily spent 4 hours where. Large, so expect a lot of walking, which is a given at the majority of zoos. We got to pet a kangaroo! Definitely do the tour of the house on the property that started it all, if you have the chance. They have a self guided and a tour guided one, do the tour guided one. So many amazing animals and so much history here. Even got to hear an incredibly interesting ghost story about the parakeets!

JanisHolton

The Nashville Zoo is one of the most wonderful things about Nashville. Clean Open Spaces, helpful staff. There are lots of animals there plus they change the exhibits from time to time. I love going here. I have been many, many times.

Cyndi Cooper

Not impressed with the animals. No elephants, didn't see tigers, only 1 set of 2 bears. I've been to several zoos and this one just didn't have the exhibits I expected a big city like Nashville to have. Website needs updated. Overall, however, we DID enjoy our day here and employees as well as other visitors were friendly.

Michael Fisher

Such a nice zoo. I love that so many of the walkways are covered and shaded. The animals are easy to spot. Some of the animals were missing from their enclosures with no explanation but many zoos have that problem.

Eric Hale

Nice settings. Pretty good zoo from a “how they treat them” standpoint. Employees are from a volunteer basis. We went a month back and employees were kids mostly some were adults. Kids were nice and professional. One adult though had a major attitude issue. Kind of spoiled the day a bit. You get what you pay for in your help? Nothing to really draw you back or warrant buying a seasonal pass.

Robert Peters

GREAT EXPERIENCE at this zoo!!! It was clean and well kept. The staff at the water points could have been a little more friendly but it did not take away from the experience. On the way out of the zoo I stopped by the gift shop and left my wallet. It was turned in to customer services with everyanything still in it. Thank you.

MrJh66sh

The zoo had great exhibits. The docents were knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions about the animals. The Zoo and all facilities were very clean. There were lots of benches where you could sit, rest, and observe. We especially loved seeing the giraffes! We were disappointed that there were no elephants, chimpanzees, and gorillas. The food and drinks were very pricey. We do recommend visiting The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere!

Melissa Greene

LOVE the zoo! Very clean, everyone was so nice and helpful, and the animals are well cared for. We love the petting zoo, the rope bridge, and the farm. The big cats are out now so the crowds are a bit thick and there are a lot of renovations going on but it’s looking fantastic and we always have a great time.

Tara Piergies

Wonderful place and the plantings design is amazing! Rivals cheekwood for flora. Food is a bit pricey and that my only complaint. Completely worth price if admission and a terrific day out for families.

J. Mark Finlay

Well maintained, beautiful looking zoo with thoughtfully laid out exhibits and some fascinating (and clearly well taken-care of) animals. Lots of great little bits you won't find at other zoos that make it special. The reptile/amphibian/fish building was the highlight. Also the indoor areas are well air conditioned if you go on a scorching day like we did!

T G

Pretty good zoo. The placement of water fountains is pitiful though. I felt like they really just wanted you to constantly buy their drinks @$4 + Everytime a kid whines. Wish they had more water features to cool down in the extreme heat of summer *like the Memphis zoo has*. Overall it is still a nice place. I really liked the eagles nest & carousel. Definitely not what you expect to see at a zoo, but a great addition my 4 kids loved!!!!

Glad we got the annual pass, it's worth it to really be able to enjoy yourselves.

Nathaniel Jones

This zoo was great! Super kid friendly and pretty organized! Lots of cool animals and beautiful landscapes! I'm sure you'll enjoy this one!

Jake B

Loved this zoo, very clean and knowledgeable staff! I can't wait to visit again animal all looked very well cared for and loved. Definitely recommend to friends and family.

Sierra Kiss

Nashville zoo is one of the best zoos I have ever been to. It’s not in the greatest area getting there, but it’s very much worth the visit! They have new exhibits with tigers and are continuing to add more. One of my favorite things we did there was pet kangaroos! Also bought a couple things from the large gift shop.

Zack Schneiderman

My favorite part of this zoo is the design and size of exhibits, I've never really seen anything like it. The exhibits are large and absolutely beautiful. The gibbon exhibit was perhaps the greatest exhibit I've ever seen at a zoo. It was very natural and expansive and was just an amazing opportunity to see them in as natural an environment as possible. They may have fewer animals than some zoos, but those they do have are in excellent habitats. Only downside was that parking was $7 which was a bit strange considering very few zoos charge for parking and that it was outside the city in a location with plenty of space for parking and no real other way to get here. However, given the quality of the zoo I still gave it 5 stars.

Wayne

One of the best Zoo's that I have been to. Very clean and inviting. The grounds were well kept and taken care of. The history of the home and land dedicated was so interesting.
