I love the option of riding a bike with your family around the park. I took in a show with birds that was impressive but all animals were either sleep or hiding in the shade. My only advice if you insist on going is to bring water to drink and snacks.

Waited all my adult life to go to the zoo, where were the animals? Too hot out, they said. But still a lovely experience. We were all about to pass out from the heat so a nice man picked us up and gave us a private tour on the way to our car. TOO HOT in August.

Very nice zoo with lots of various attractions for everyone. Get the bikes, it's worth the money to get around when it's hot and to carry your stuff. Very well priced too. Not necessarily an every month kind of trip but definitely worth it for the day. Plenty of animals to see

Very nice zoo! I wished we had taken advantage of the bikes to get around because it was much bigger and hotter than I thought. They have many misting stations and shade areas all through the zoo so it's easy to get out of the sun when you need to. One of the best I have been too. They also have a number of different animals you can feed for a reasonable fee. So much fun!

One of the best zoos I have ever visited. Compared to other zoos this one has plenty of space both for animals and for people. At the same time it designed for great animal visibility to public. Transportation inside is also nice you can walk, you can ride a little tram or a monorail, also you can rent a four-wheel bike for up to six passengers which makes it possible to see everything in one day even with little kids.

This is easily the biggest and best zoo I've ever been to in florida. It took a little over 4 hours to walk the whole thing, but there are bikes available if you prefer that. So many animals and activities, you'll definitely get your money's worth. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed myself where did giving it five stars but their Australia exhibit was rather side length and let down the koala and Kangaroo exhibit left me feeling depressed I have seen much better displays and happy looking animals and other facilities other than that I had a really good time most animals were out except for the lion and a couple others most animals look happy and we're in the well-kept areas easily to be seen without fences or Gates locking most View I did feel a bit sad for the gorilla who seem to be all by himself and looking lonely but I don't know if they could be kept at someone else he look like he was rather old but I could easily be incorrect I am not an expert on animals there was a fair amount of shade throughout the park which is always a pleasant surprise in the state of Florida there is plenty of rest rooms and places to get drinks or refreshments we spent 5 hours there and I'm not sure if we did it all you can rent bicycles and Electric scooters as well easy to get to from the turnpike

There is a lot to see make sure you dont go on a really hot day. A lot of walking but worth it. Make sure to have at least 4 hours or more as it will take a out that long to see everything. Also on hot days a lot of the animals hide.

Came here for the day because I’m on vacation and love animals. The line for tickets was fairly long, but it was a friday so that was to be expected. It moved fairly quickly, so it was only about a ten minute wait. Tickets were only $10 today, which was so nice. It was a super hot day (104, and super humid) and there were misters all over the place and small water parks for children, as well as plenty of places to get drinks. All of the exhibits were so nice! All of the animals were so well taken care of and happy, and it was so cool to see so many reptiles and amphibians up close, because most zoos only do mammals and larger reptiles. At 12, we watched the wildlife training show which was so much fun! The zoo is huge! And due to that and my health issues I had to cut the trip short, but if i didn’t need to I would have been running around like a little kid. The trip overall was so much fun, everyone was so nice and it was awesome seeing so many cool animals!

Gotta say, I was shocked. I haven't been here in about 2 years. Everything has changed way so much. And in a cool way. I still get exhausted walking but at least now there's so much to see so it's worth it. On a serious note, I couldn't find a turkey leg. So yeah, Metro Zoo (das right, I said it, you'll always be Metro Zoo) get working on that.

Amazing place to visit for adults and kids alike! (We were two adults and a 3 year old) By FAR the best zoo I've ever visited. You need a full day to cover it all (including resting ;)), and it's totally worth it! You can see the animals up close and in ample natural surroundings. I would visit again any time!

Wear good walking shoes. Its a big zoo! Rent a bike for 2 or 4. It is well worth it! Help support the zoo by buying drinks and food there. The price helps them take care of the animals in the long run.

Membership line needs to be faster or at least have two people in the box. Shouldn’t annual members come first? But other than that the whole zoo is amazing. It’s sooo much more things to do and animals too see. I grew up going to METRO ZOO and I’m happy to say that my kids will also love the zoo as did I.

It's a nice Zoo. The cages are pretty wide and open, so it makes the walking A LOT. Prepare to spend either half of, if not your full day here. It's very hot, so bring water and sunscreen. We saw a lot of animals, which was awesome! Everything extra is expensive, so if you plan on getting anything else, prepare to also spend a pretty penny, but also remember it supports the Zoo. I've been to better zoos, but I did enjoy this one.

Nice Place, rent the bikes is a must, for 2 hrs 26 $ but worth, saving time . In 4 hours walking can't see the whole place. After that you will feel tired. The prices for snacks or water inside are a little bit high. Bring a bottle of water is a good idea.

The zoo has been steadily making improvements and has recently had the addition of a baby rhino. They also opened up a new Cafe with good food at a fair price. Recommended to get there as early as possible on hot days as this is when the animals are most active.

I love this zoo! Be prepared to walk a lot! At the Africa elephant exhibit they have the zookeepers come out at certain times to talk about the animals, if you or your kids like elephants, DON'T MISS IT! The elephants have been trained to do a couple cute things like lift their trunks, lift a leg up, and most importantly make a trumpeting sound. There is also a huge playground and water play zone in the middle of the zoo next to the restaurant.

The zoo was my last excursion before going back home. I wanted to take the kids somewhere fun and close. Because of the predicted hurricane they didn't have everything running. I can understand that and they were also charging half price at the door. However, they could have at least allowed the public access to the group bicycles. It is a big place to walk through especially with the heat. I had slightly twisted my ankle and it would have been a big help. Also, the convenient vending machines placed around the zoo were not working or empty or both. Very important when walking so much and dehydrated. Plus, I lost $3.75 with the machine. If you plan on going call ahead and find out what is working and what isn't just to avoid the disappointment.

Hands down a place worth the drive. The zoo is extremely expansive and has some spectacular animals. The lack of cages makes it different from other zoos and makes you feel like you are on the wild with the animals. The zoo is clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever we visit Miami we make a point to visit the zoo.

Great Zoo. A lot of reviews state you’ll get through in 3 hours. It took us longer. You have the option of renting a bike/trolley/cart thing, but we opted to walk. We got there right as the zoo opened. I would suggest this in the warmer months. A lot of the animals were up and about early then were out for the count in the afternoon with the 90 degree weather. We went on a weekday, none of the food ziosks we’re open so keep that in mind.

I really enjoy this park. It has tons of activities for the entire family and a huge variety of animals. I enjoy my time there a lot. I love the aquatic bikes throughout the lake. The food is also good and is an excellent venue for children birthdays. Highly recommended! I would say to go during weekdays or Saturdays because Sundays are very crowded. Other than that it's awesome, you are going to love it!

We had a good time at the zoo, most of the animals were out and it was lovely seeing all the different kinds the zoo had to offer. The staff was nice and friendly and each enclosure had a volunteer give us a fun fact and Information on the animals which was a nice touch. Do note that the best deal is the 40.00 dollar deal, you get lunch, an animal feeding, carousel rides, a souvenir cup and rides on the monorail plus the actual admission to the zoo. Great experience!

I haven't gone to Zoo Miami for 2 years and in that period of time so much has changed. When I went this last time I was blown away by all the changes they've made. The Improvement is amazing I love it I plan on coming back again soon.. the only thing is I wasn't prepared for was the increase in prices on everything and things that we didn't have to pay for before we have to pay we have to pay for now... which is understandable with all of the new updates they have done

Almost deserted, but they didn't skimp on the shows or feedings, really quite awesome. Lion roared, ghost leopard, baby joey- free monorail after 4:30. Easy to spend the entire day- we did. A little over $100 for 3- shared an cream burger and fries, fruit cup, drank cold water.

The zoo is amazing! There are so many places to explore for kids. You can rent bikes, rent boats, and they even sell beer. The animal habitats are well maintained. There is lots of shade. Many places to rest. They even have a splash pad. It is best to go early as there are days where there is tons of people traffic. Beautiful gift shop. Extremely educational.

This is the best zoo I have ever been to. I had such an amazing experience the last time I went. There are so many things to do and animals to see. If you do end up coming to this zoo do be prepared for a lot of walking unless you rent one of the bicycles. It is a VERY large zoo. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that quite a few animals weren't in the exhibits and that the Australia exhibit wasn't open yet. I think one of my favorite parts was feeding the Giraffes. The very kind lady who was working the post at the time offered to take pictures of my boyfriend and I. She got some amazing pictures and was very helpful. All of the employees were very informative and had very outgoing personalities. I can't wait for my next visit and definitely recommend coming here if you have never been.

Zoo Miami is an amazing zoo! There are so many wonderful interactive exhibits. Highlights for me are the Wings of Asia, Amazon, and FL exhibits. The Wings of Asia exhibit is an enclosed aviary where you get to see birds walking and flying around right next to you. The Amazon has reptiles, otters, exotic birds, bats, and a huge aquarium stocked with giant fish. The Florida exhibit showcases Florida native animals and has a clear slide that goes through the otter enclosure and a clear tube that goes through the crocodile enclosure. We had a great time! I highly recommend Zoo Miami!

What a great day! We got the cycle cart and pedaled around. I have physical issues walking for long or any distances. The cycling was just the ticket. I loved the elephants but my favorite thing was feeding the giraffes.

I was able to share my metro zoo childhood experiences with my son the other day. Definitely has improved over the years. Easy parking and access. Able to walk around easily without disney type traffic. The only downside is paying for the extra curricular activities like the boat ride or monorail ride. I think it should be free with price of admission. Overall, good experience for my family, definitely going back.

It's a great place for the family. But you have to do a lot of walking because the animals are spread far apart. Walking in such hot weather takes it toll on the adults & tbe kids.And believe methere a lot of walking to do. You can rent the pedal carts. It take 2 people to pedal. I forget how much the rental cost. I wouldn't advise one person to get rent it. But there is a place where the kids can get wet and play in the shooting waters. That keeps them cool. Awesome place to go.

I like the zoo, but, I remember it better. I love the fact that you can rent a multi bike, but it is expensive, especially on the weekends. However, it is almost a must. Oh, yes, you must leave your driver's license with them. I believe it's easier to rent a car... The signs in the zoo are poorly, especially those that lead you to the exit. They have very few, far and in between on the floor, but at least on that, they need to clearly mark signs towards the exit and the distance. A better way is to color code the walkways. Drinks in the vending machines are $3.75 and no machine that I tried accepts anything more than $1 bills or coins... Feeding the animals its $5.00 for each kid, if you have 2 kids you may not split the feed... At least the parking is free (for now) and plenty... This can be a full day event. I would also like to see a plan planned out to see the feeding events. For example a plan that a parent can follow with the kids to see multiple feedings. Kids love to see the animals in action.

My wife, daughter and I all went here for a nice day out. There is more to see and do then you can in one day! They have a full water park with splashpads throughout so bring bathing suits for the munchkins. If I could recommend one thing, dress for hot weather, and wear comfortable shoes!!

My family lives about an hour from Zoo Miami but it is totally worth the drive! We just got membership and plan on going quite often. We love the bicycles that they have because it’s nice to catch a little breeze on a hot day and they also have a canopy so there is shade also. It’s a great way to tote the whole family around to see all there is to see. We love going to feed the giraffes and rhinoceros, the water park is great and they have a bunch of snack stands throughout the zoo. They also have a stand that sells slushy wine which is a great place to stop

The animals are kept happy and safe. My daughter is two and had an absolute blast running around the entire park!! We were able to get wonderful pictures and we weren't crowded which was the best part. Plenty of parking, we felt extremely safe, food is reasonably priced. There are misters set up throughout the zoo, there is a small water park and playground as well.

This is a great zoo with loads of exhibits and lots of zookeepers around to give information. A lot of walking so be prepared or rent the bikes with small kids! Food at various cafeterias is surprisingly good although pricey.

Well let’s just say that my experience was that I just traveled about 2 hours from Naples to Miami to go to the zoo by myself and used the metro zoo website to get directions and the price of the ticket. When I arrived at the window the employee told me that it would be 24.95$. Meanwhile the web site on my phone said the tickets were 15.95$ and I showed him my phone and he read it. Then he told me sorry but the price was 24.95. Which was posted on the outside window which I did not see at first but then I read it. I was a little upset because he said he could not help me. Then asked if I would like to talk to a manager and I said “sure” So the manager came out and I explained to him the same thing and showed him my phone also and he basically said the same thing he could not do to much for me because at the top it said not secure. He did give me a little discount like 3.00$ but as a managers point of view I felt like he should have given me the price that was on my phone until they fix the problem. The problem is that there should not be 3 or 4 different prices for the metro zoo on the metro zoo website they should match what is on the ticket booth at the metro zoo. I felt like he was not a good business man. The more I thought about it the more I was turned off. I do not think I will be going to the Miami zoo for a long long time. I feel like that price is way too high for anyone to afford to go. I have to say that it was not even that busy when I went. So that tells me bad management. When I did go I went when they opened at 10am and it was nice to see the animals up and moving around and they were eating but by 12:00 pm they were pretty much done and hiding the rest of the time because it was hot out. I left by about 2:00. It is not worth the money. I always enjoy the animals but they seriously need to drop the prices and maybe open a little earlier so the animals are more active a little longer before it gets way to hot for them. Just a suggestion! That’s all

Amazing. Truly, is amazing. The entire park is massive, and riding the bike cart makes the whole thing easier to traverse. I was fortunate to go with an amazing friend that invited me, and they really treated me nicely. The staff is really nice, and they have most animals you'd see at a zoo. Zebras, lions, tiger, elephants, giraffes which you can also feed, gorillas, everything! 100 percent recommend for an amazing experience

Great place lots of different opportunities to to feed all kinds of animals. When I ate there I had a chicken wrap at their cafe and it was really good the place is clean and the employees are friendly the trainers really care about the animals. Do be prepared for lots of walking they do have bikes you can rent and a monorail that costs money.

I love the Miami Zoo, I grew up going here for field trips and now take my own kids on no-school days and breaks. There has been a lot of changes over the years. There is now a splash pad near the central food court. I would bring towels and have kids wear swim suits if it is warm. Bring sunscreen! It is a lot of walking so I would suggest bringing a stroller and wearing comfortable shoes. A good alternative is to rent one of the covered family bikes. You can spend all day here from the time they open, there is SO much to see and do. It is a total blast for kids. You can usually find discounts online or get the family yearly pass which helps save some money if you live close enough to visit a few times each year.

This dude was a little hard to navigate but I love that you can rent the tandem bicycles it made touring it very fun. Their café had amazing vegetarian options. This you can be used with the Miami go card.

Zoo Miami has best land and zoo design in Florida, but it's potential is not fully utilized, and sadly on the ground appears to be very badly managed. It appears that management has taken past popularity as granted. We bought premier pass that included one animal feeding but no zoo staff at showed up at the given time - our kid was very sad. The premier pass also included one deli lunch at Oasis - but staff at Oasis first refused to Honor as they didn't know probably how to read English - after much argument they accepted the deli sandwich coupon but made it so bad that it was unable to eat. Right at the entrance before the ticket check there were two camera crews from same company but the confusingly they didn't know they all work for same company - and both managed to lost our pics. As you pass the ticket check first animal is much loved

Growing up in Miami, I used to go to the old Crandon Park Zoo out on Key Biscayne. Then the Miami Metro Zoo was built which later changed it's name to Zoo Miami. While I hate seeing animals (especially highly intelligent creatures like orangutans and gorillas) in captivity, in this world, sometimes zoo's are the only way we can keep animals safe from poachers and other terrible people who want to harm them. In addition, Zoo Miami let's children feed giraffes and get up close to so many magnificent creatures and therefore establish a connection with them So they can hopefully one day advocate for their conservation. All in all, it's a very beautiful place to visit and the animals look quite healthy.

Horrible, all the land and not enough animals to view. They should really come together to reach out to other Zoo's to help create a great attraction. There missing a lot of animals that people of Florida haven't seen. Florida should be the greatest Zoo because of the weather. I know in the near future this will be possible. Nice experience, but the front staff is very assertive to the point it feels almost too pushy, not enough concessions to justify not allowing outside food or drinks. The park was also pretty littered considering how many workers there were, and a lot of the exhibits are showing advanced signs of aging due to neglect, and it doesn't seem like they're going to try and repair/replace anytime soon. Bonus pictures of the flamingos I took on the way out because everything else was just seemingly too hot for them to be out and about.

Go early and rent a bike. Take some clothing to get wet in cuz they have a small kids water play area. Make a right turn and tour Asia first, seems like I didn't have to go uphill as much. It was an awesome place to visit hadn't been there in many years but I appreciated the updates and the changes that were made that they make the experience as I'm walking in the zoo a really good experience where you able to view the animals I really liked it the alligator and a water thing where you can go under the water and be up under the alligator and the side by side by the waters the Jaguars and the Bears you got an opportunity to see them in an up and personal way it was great we'll go back again and again

It's a surprisingly good zoo. Takes a long time to traverse it, so I recommend renting one of their bicycles and taking your time with it. I always judge a zoo in part on how depressed the elephants look -- they actually seemed fairly happy here!

The place is organized and clean. Animal display organized by geographic habitat. Extensive area so plan to spend the whole day. Highly recommended to rent a bike. Huge line in the bike rental. There is places for the little ones of the family to interact with the animals. Would definitely recomend to family and friends!

A very large zoo that consists of many animals and animal groups. Plenty of water fountains, misters, shaded seating and playgrounds are offered for breaks. Paid add-ons include rental bicycle trams and a monorail. The zoo had a lot of juvenile and baby animals. The enclosures for the larger animals allowed for roaming. The zoo is easy to access from the turnpike and parking is free. The zoo contained some species I have not seen elsewhere.

Great zoo! Get your tickets online they are cheaper. The monorail is great but you can definitely walk the whole zoo in one day or they have bikes to rent. The Everglades ride was fun but beware you do get soaked! I recommend feeding the giraffes they stick around and you can get great pictures! The zoo also offers multiple areas for food. They are pretty good and have many choices.

Zoo Miami keeps getting better and better. I remember volunteering for high school to get community service hours and the amount of things that they have changed here are for the better! It has become a great zoo. Animals are out and about of course when the sun is not scorching hot. There is beer available for the thirsty tourist. I don’t really eat here because I think the food is a bit overpriced. So we stick to drinks and small items to snack on while we are there and once we leave we go somewhere nearby to eat. This is a big zoo so you need to bring comfortable shoes. There is water refilling stations every so often. Overall a great experience and we do go back as we are yearly members and they have a lot of perks for members with events & souvenirs.

Tickets are expensive, it is a super hot place, so be careful especially with babys and toddlers. Most significant negative is that you barely see any animals. If you try to rent a bicycle you will find 3 long lines... and restrooms are very distant from each other.

If you have young kids, get the annual pass; you can't go wrong. Overall it's really a great experience. During the cooler months you can enjoy a nice stroll through the zoo and enjoy the outdoors. They have plenty of activities and play spaces to keep the kids entertained for hours. During the summer the water play area is a hit. Overall, it's a great place to spend the day with the family. The bike rentals are fun but can be tiring if not everyone is able to peddle to be warned.

Great place to spend time with the family while sharing the outdoors wildlife view. This is always our perfect family spot. The park is large enough for them (my kids) to stretch their legs and engage in some healthy workout. The interaction with the animals is a life changing experience for the little ones. Petting animals they don't regularly see teaching (to some extent) to coexist with others despite their differences. The overall ambient is very relaxing. Buying the annual pass is a perk for local residents.

My boys and I loved reading all the signs, learning about the animals and where they are from. We also learned there are so many animals on the verge of extinction and some ways we can try to help prevent that from happening! There were lots of great photo ops! My boys loved the solar powered charging stations where you could plug in your phone for a charge from the South Florida, Miami sun!

It was nice. Family oriented and kid friendly, however, a lot of the animals weren't there. No lions, no tigers, no kangaroos etc...so it was a bit empty and underwhelming. Otherwise, it's always fun to visit the zoo, the kiddos enjoyed their time.

Wonderful experience at Zoo Miami, absolutely loved it. The animals have great enclosures that look large and they seem very well looked after. Lots of education throughout the park with sufficient water fountains throughout. Lots of shade provided too but it still can get very hot as most of the park is outside. Only downside is it felt like a lack of food options (lots of carts selling snacks though). Great day out and highly recommended!

This has always been and always will be the best zoo in all of Florida. The zoo is very large so bring your walking shoes. The enclosures re also very big the animals have a lot of room to move in. I like how the zoo has tried to.get.you the customer.as.close to the animals as possible from the silver back gorilla to the Florida alligator. The zoo is always on top of my list every time I go down to Miami.

We had a great time at the zoo. We went during the $10 days deal, and I highly recommend it. It let us know what to expect and we definitely have to go in our beach gear next time, and wear lots of sunscreen. Our little one couldn't focus on everything, but he still enjoyed aspects of it-- especially the aquarium, and other animals he could see more clearly. We had an overall enjoyable experience. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and attire as there is a lot of walking involved if you wish to cover everything. (Next time we're thinking of renting the canopy bikes instead) We went in the afternoon and didn't have enough time to cover all of the wonderful exhibits. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. Most of the staff seems to genuinely enjoy their role in making this place special. You almost forget you're in Miami because of the great hospitality. My recommendations would be more family friendly amenities in restrooms and more Minute Maid frozen lemonade stands. The lemonades are excellent in the heat! Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Definitely one of the best zoos in the country. Were there for 4 hours and didn't even get close to halfway. There is also a raised Tram that goes through the entire zoo, and it's air conditioned. We are planning on going in the next week again

Grady place for kids appt to see. We spent 5.5 hours at the zoo. We rented the cycles because there park use very big & the cycles was a good workout.

First time at this zoo and it was mediocre. I felt like it was bigger then what it needed to be. So much walking and not as many animals to see. I was really looking forward to seeing big cats but they didn't have as many big cats as I'd hope. I went to the snow leopard exhibit and couldn't find him to save my life. I don't know if he was even in the exhibit or not. If he was then his hiding skills are 10/10. I saw one Lion chilling in the shade and one tiger near the temple. If I were to compare this to the Atlanta zoo then I would say the Atlanta zoo out ranks this zoo. Atlanta is much smaller with just as many animals if not more. Overall it was still a cool experience and I would suggest you go because it's a zoo and zoo's are worth going too. The one thing I really liked about this zoo is that I saw camels which I didn't expect too see. So that was neat.

Always fun with kids, it was a great day to visit. The staff were very helpful. I love the new photo spots. As you enter the zoo they have new photos of animals drawn on people’s hands by a very talented artist. Definitely a must see. The Everglades boat ride was hilarious!

We loved the zoo. Brought our two boys here last week and again this week and still there are a couple things we didn't finish seeing. It was during the week and not the least bit crowded. It was nice to see so many of the animals out and about and we were able to take lots of pictures. I wish more of the random snack stands had been open, but I guess it doesn't make a lot of sense when there aren't a lot of people. It was clean and the prices weren't too bad overall.

A great zoo with an average / good value entrance price. There were a lot of happy animals here. Many were active and playing and all seemed to be well taken care of. Air conditioning was seen in some of the animal enclosures and all had their needs met physically as well as emotionally, with the staff actively involved in the pens and interacting with the animals. There are some nice extras for children to be actively involved and there are plenty of water and refreshment stops. Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

They stop selling tickets an hour before they close. They have beautiful landscaping and a good and unique selection of animals you probably won't find at too many US zoos. There's lots of water elements for the little ones to play in. Be sure to pack an extra set of clothes. Bring some cash if you want to feed the animals. Very educational. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to come back!

This place was ok...it has nothing on the Dallas or Forth Worth Texas zoo's and the entrance price, ice cream, cotton candy, food and water was ridiculously expensive. The person that took our our order close to the petting zoo had a very nasty attitude and if she didn't want to work for the zoo she should choose a job where she doesn't have to deal with the public or better yet grab a career and stop just having a job....if she would've been nice I could've given her some work from home job options but with an attitude like that she will continue having just a job that she doesn't like!

Went there on a family vacation and it was amazing! The animals looked very well taken care of and had safe boundaries. The park provided information about all the animals and even trees! The staff were very nice and they had stands for snacks and souvenirs all over the park. Highly recommend!!

Amazing Zoo to see all kinds of animals from all over the world in one place. The Zoo is huge so much to see, and a lot of walking. Make sure you check the weather because if lightning or thunder is in a 10 mile radius they will shut down a lot of activities such as the monorail, and tram station which our the 2 main ways of fast transportation for cheap around the park. You can rent sheltered bicycles that can hold over 4 people for about $26 for 2hrs.

Had an amazing time! Staff was professional and the zoo is the size of an amusement park, like Universal sized! Definitely a two day trip if you have the time. There’s a little for every age from the splash pads and playgrounds to the cycles, grill and tram. We honestly didn’t have time to walk it all in one day but I would love to come back and do a VIP tour. Those looked so fun! Saw some cool animals, learned some new facts and the animal training show is definitely a must watch! Can’t wait to come back

The zoo is huge, lots of animals and things to do. The splash pad park is amazing, there’s paddle boats, bike rentals, tons of places to eat or get drinks, and even water filter stations on all of the fountains which give good cold water. Employees are friendly and prices are really not bad for anything there. The only reason why I give 4 stars is because some of the enclosures were too small for the animals, the giraffes being one of them. Otherwise my family enjoyed their time there and will most likely be back again.

This is as close to a nature preserve as a metropolitan zoo can get. Its absolutely well done and pretty to look at and view the animals. But it is a WALK if you have anyone who is not an adult in their 20s rent one of the bikes,scooters,carts. You will not make it otherwise.

Our first time at the zoo and it was a great experience! We went for the after hours zoo for $10 and it was so worth it! Zoo Miami has many sections to discover, explore, and enjoy. I very much liked this section called: "Wings of Asia", has lots of tree canopy, flowing water, and a huge variety of birds, which walk, swim, and fly all around you. Miami Zoo has also a baby rhino! Amongst your typical Zoo animals.
