We recently celebrated our son’s 8th birthday at Sarasota Jungle Gardens, and it was amazing! My son said it was his best birthday ever! The staff were amazing! Kristi, Bill and Madeline were so helpful and kind. The party was a complete success in every way. I would highly recommend Sarasota Jungle Gardens to anyone celebrating a birthday party or any other event there. I will definitely be back for my youngest daughter’s birthday in a couple of years, but until then, I will be back many times to visit.

We are here visiting from Kansas and we couldn't have been more pleased! Ty for the great experience and all the excellent sights!!

Very nice live shows and beautiful gardens with animal exhibits too

Took my students who have special needs to visit Sarasota Jungle Gardens. Our visit was a great learning opportunity. The people, trainers were so accommodating to my “kiddo’s and had a special show for them where they got to touch a variety of animals, birds, reptiles. We all had a fabulous time.

This place is one of a kind. I remember coming here as a kid and this year I was able to bring my 3 year old. He absolutely loved it. I've never been to another place that has so many opportunities to interact with animals. It's also very reasonably priced. If you're in the area, check it out. It's perfect for kids (and adults)!

Love this place, we always come here when friends or family come to visit us

Sarasota jungle gardens was a very unfortunate experience for us as a family. Seeing the helpless creatures being mistreated and not cared for, bothered us very much. Never in all my time of visiting zoos have I seen such inhumanity to animals.Exotic and unique animals should NOT be kept in captivity for human entertainment! This torture prison for innocent animals deserves a NEGATIVE FIVE MILLION-star review. ANIMALS SHOULD NEVER BE TREATED LIKE PRISONERS IN A JAIL CELL!!!!! If you care JUST ONE LITTLE BIT about the animals’ well being, if there’s just ONE OUNCE of kindness to animals that suffer in zoos,PLEASE “like” this review.

Oh my goodness, this place was so cool! I have always been terrified of most animals, but this was such a great environment to interact with the flamingos and hold a baby alligator! The bird show was really fun! Fun for little ones and parents alike!

Very friendly people and family oriented Zoo

What a great zoo for all ages! My girlfriend and I came here over spring break and we loved how interactive everything was with the animals and being able to give treats to most/all the animals. By throwing the food of course. The little cafe has pretty good lunch food and the ambiance of the place is actually quite neat with a jungle built right in! Plus tours, informational seminars for all ages especially mid ages 10-13, lots of reptiles, and you're able to feed the flamingos they have walking around. 10-10 experience but take your time and enjoy!! if you rush through you wont get the full experience.

Nice shaded paths. Nice staff.

Super cute place and interactive hands-on experience! We came for the Easter egg hunt event and loved how the staff were friendly and they kept replenishing the eggs. I hate attending most Easter egg hunt events as usually my little one only gets a few because other kids and parents take the joy out of it and don’t leave any wife the little ones. I liked how they had it separated by ages too! Very well planned out!!

Very family oriented!! Clean, fun to be outdoors and just have some fresh air! Employees are very friendly and welcoming!

Beautiful pathways and just incredible environment.

A little beautifull jungle its good for small kids. But also for adults you walk like in a park and it feels like the animals are free and ther is a place where you can have pictures with the pariits and the flamingo.

Such a fun day with my family! Getting that close to the flamingos and peacocks was amazing, and we had a blast watching the other animals. Everything seems clean and well taken care of. The only disappointment for us was that some areas were closed off for renovation- but that just means we will have to come back to check out the new stuff.

So much fun. We have been there a bunch of times! Bring quarters to feed the fish and flamingos! Lots of walking. The kids loved it!

Not as many animals as would be found at a bigger zoo and most of them are pretty easy to find elsewhere (like in the exotic pet trade.) Great if you have little kids that would get a kick out of feeding animals- they have feeding stations for snapping turtles, gators, and flamingos.

Cheap prices and is truly a hidden gem for any tourist. The opportunity to feed flamingos is AMAZING, these animals are very gentle and graceful. The gardens also have a petting zoo for kids (and adults) to pet chickens, pigs/boar, and goats. You can also HOLD birds and snap a picture for FREE! And don't miss their shows in the pavilion -they have extremely smart/well trained birds. This is also a great place to stop and take a walk and get some fresh air.

The Sarasota Jungle Gardens is one of my favorite places in Florida! It’s a must see, especially for children. They have zoo keeper talks throughout the day and multiple shows to go see. Kids (and adults) can feed flamingos, baby alligators, swans, and coy fish as well as pet animals in the petting zoo and pose with a parrot on your shoulder. Besides all of that, it’s a beautiful place to walk through with an array of plants and flowers. It’s some serious fun and I can’t recommend it enough!

Great family jungle garden place to see a bunch of wild life. Nice trails and live animal shows. Feed the coy fish or flamingos along with other animals as well. Family and I had a blast.

Beautiful but expensive, very expensive. My opinion anyway. I’m sure most people find it affordable considering the area it’s in

Very small and not worth the money. Feeding the flamingos was the best part but would not go back.

Great family fun, reasonable and very interactive. Love it every year!!

Few negatives lots of positives! Our 5 year old son loved every minute of it! The gift shop was wildly over priced, we still left with $150 worth of items lol. These are a few of the items.

I loved this place! Great staff and exhibits. It was great that you could interact with the animals, especially feeding the flamingos. I would definitely recommend!

Fun place to visit! It's not huge but it is very shaded. Was really cool to get to feed flamingos and hold the snake and alligator and take pictures with the birds!

I love it! So many things to do/see. Perfect for children

The jungle was great, but the humidity wasn't.

The staff was very professional and friendly.. Rachel she was very nice & knowledgeable about the birds .. Frosty jr showed off his knowledge.. unbelievable fun!

Won't be going back due to the conditions the animals are being kept. The reptile house is HORRIBLY maintained. This business is definitely making enough money to revamp the reptile house but instead enclosures are simple boxes covered in hay, no proper substrate, the area is extremely dim and and run down. The only thing cool about this place is the vegetation in the surrounding gardens. The huge alligator enclosure is WAYYYY too tiny for his size and his pool was completely dry. I won't be supportive of a business that clearly isn't keeping up with what would be most comfortable for their sweet animals.

This is a great place for all ages! Young kids loved playground older kids loved the shows and all the animals... I'm pretty sure my parents brought me here when I was a kid. 5 stars for a reason

The place was very nice and doesn't involve too much walking. Once you get in you get access to many things that you don't have to pay extra for, which is very appreciated. There are only a few things that you pay extra for such as animal feed and getting a photo taken. There are a few shows per day where an employee shows and tells you about three animals being showcased that day. The only disappointment was with the petting zoo; it is open for 30 minute intervals about three times per day and we went for two of the intervals and no one was there to let us in so we didn't get to do that part. I can understand not opening it for weather but it would be appreciated if we could be notified so we didn't waste our time waiting. We tried asking staff we saw around the park but we were either told they weren't sure or conflicting answers that it was happening or that we missed it when we were definitely there during the time frame that it was open. As for vegan friendly food at the Flamingo Cafe, I think the peanut butter and jelly sandwich would be your only option. Overall, it was a very fun experience.

Amazing scenery, awesome animals, friendly staff! Food is delicious!

Beautiful and well maintained. We really enjoyed a nice morning here. The only reason I gave it four stars was because of the price. For a family of six it was well over $100 and sadly they didn't offer a military discount.

This is a cool little zoo. Very pretty and it is very awesome to be able to feed flamingos and pet the goats. There was some flooding so if you go after it rains wear shoes that you can get wet. Part of the zoo was closed which we were not aware of until we came to a blockage on the trail. Not sure what we missed but it took us about an hour to get through the whole zoo. Gift shop is really nice and the staff was very friendly and kind.

We enjoyed our visit. A nice place to take a slow walk and enjoy the animals and natural beauty.

This was one of the first places I visited in Sarasota before actually moving down from Michigan. I’ve Since visited three times over the years and I always have a great time. There is quite a bit to do and They do a great job keeping the place looking great! For not being a huge funded zoo, like others in Tampa etc. They do a good job of maintaining a variety of creatures and shows to keep you entertained!

Beautiful garden. We loved seeing the animals. Would not recommend going mid-day because it was SO HOT.

A unique little gardens where you can hand feed Flamingos, Ducks, Ibis, and Tilapia. They have short live shows with birds and Reptiles.

Nice place to take the kids or grand kids. Pretty grounds with nice walkways. I'm not sure I would call this a zoo. Some birds, alligators, turtles and a petting zoo. Not much more. We spent over $3 for flamingo food but the birds had no interest whatsoever. So that was a waste. We didn't eat there so I can't speak with regard to people food. I felt it was a little pricey for what we experienced. Kids would probably like it though.

The flamingos are the best part. The staff is very friendly, but this just a small local 'zoo'. They have a TON of different birds, small alligators, a small petting zoo with 2 pigs and a few goats. It's great for smaller children. There aren't larger animals, so don't expect that. It is a but pricey if you have a large family.

Took my 6 and 7 year old. Great experience! Lots of interesting animals with a very easy walking path throughout. Of course, the gift shop is always a hit with us. It did not disappoint. :)

Beautiful place, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A must see while visiting Sarasota.

Not much to see here. The gardens are pretty and there's a show or two (get there early as they are only a few times). Feeding the flamingos was fun. However if you've been to any other gardens, you've probably seen better ones already. Good for a local stop. Otherwise pass.

Loved this place. It was clean and well kept. The animals are beautiful, cute, and there are reptiles if you enjoy them too. The staff was friendly for the most part. The animal shows and the handlers were great. Definitely a fun place to spend time with friends and family.

Wife is a flamingo alcoholic. She loved the up close interaction with the birds. Walking path is heavily treed with nice shade.

Nice but the animals seem to not have enough nature in their areas. Some seem sad. You can tell they care for them maybe they just need more money to spruce up the animal areas. They have a nice a shop with lots of Florida items. We saw everything within 1 hr.

Absolutely awesome! Our son loved everything about the place. Much better than going to the huge places and feeling rushed and it being able to see everything. The the shows were awesome!

Lots of fun. Been going for like 20 years and I was able to bring my daughter. Too bad she had a tantrum but the staff was understanding.

Some of the zoo was under construction. But my wife had fun

It was so much fun. we walked through it all TWICE. YOU KNOW THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING YOU MISSED ONLY GOING THROUGH ONCE. We sat in on the reptile show. Learned a few things we did not know about reptiles. I missed not seeing the monkeys. They were rebuilding new habitats for more monkeys but it wasn't open yet. All in all it was great. We took many photos and went to the pelican cafe in the back for cheese burgers and fries. I really enjoyed it. I even went into the petting zoo where tbe turtles were and held one. I wanted to take it home with me It was so cute. Just a baby. We ended our visit there at the inside store buying a coconut monkey Bank it has stringy red hair looks like my husband.

Learned a lot about native Florida animals that I wasn't aware of. Park is really nice and great place to bring the family for a walk amongst nature.

Awesome place to take the kids. A little confusing on where to go at some points but still a great way to entertain the family. And the cafe food was awesome and not too over priced.

Loved the Parrots and Flamingos just a shame that all the others in the small huts, were to far from the railings to see or photograph.

I was really impressed with this little wildlife sanctuary staff was great it was well kept the animals reptiles birds ect All seemed like they were in good condition place was clean and well worth the admission price great for young toddlers on up catch all the shows you can figure 3 hours at least

Beautiful place, my kids love it. In love with the flamingos ❤❤❤ every friendly staff

We went here on a whim. Feeding the flamingos was the best part hands down. I think the price point a little high for what you're getting (we paid almost $50 for 2 adults, 1 child with coupon). Most animal enclosures were unkempt and noticeably dirty. I felt like this was a glorified zoo, but without the concern for the animal welfare you generally see at a zoo. They had a wide variety of birds, which seemed to be in the best shape. I felt bad for the baby alligators that were swimming in dirty water and looked like they had moss or algae growing on them. All the reptiles looked like they were neglected honestly. There were shows advertised, but we never saw any employees on the grounds during our 2 hours there. There was little to no signage altogether. It might be worthwhile for the flamingos, but if you are looking for information about the animals, you won't get a lot here. This place borders on 3 stars for me but bumped to 4 because of how delighted my little was to get so close to the flamingos. If animal welfare is something that upsets you, you might want to skip this place though.

Great little zoo with family atmosphere and a nice little cafe with food too. They also have a playground for the kids and loads of cool things to see. Oh yeah and a petting zoo with pigs and goats!

If the tickets were $5 this would be 5 stars, and at $10 I'd give it 4 stars. But at almost $20 this is definitely a 3-star attraction. We got there a little later in the day and were on our own schedule so we missed the shows, so maybe we missed a lot, but the rest of the grounds we could walk to check out all the animals didn't seem all that impressive. High points were the butterfly tent and the petting zoo - both interactive so great for small kids. And flamingo/tropical bird lovers will like getting close to those also. But if you've ever walked in someone's backyard in Florida that's near water or undeveloped land, you've pretty much seen most of the other wildlife here already.

Perfect Weekend getaway, the Flamingos crushed it all. The park entry is expensive. But besides that it’s totally worth it!!

Fun for the whole family. We came here with our 3 year old while on vacation and had a blast! It was great to see all of the animals up close and we especially loved the turtle petting. A word of caution though, BRING BUG SPRAY it is very buggy!

I visited recently for the first time in over 10 years. It's super nice that they help abandoned and rehab animals but some of the cages/living conditions seemed way too small and unpleasant. Some of the animals seemed very unhappy.

Cute place... enjoyed. Not as big as we expected but I think they were renovating bc sections were closed off. The flamingos were beautiful.

Great fun place. The flamingos are very interactive, you can feed them and one will follow visitors in the park too. There are fun shows in periods of time that are educational and amusing. They have a lot of animals to see and it's also a cool place to relax if you want

Lovely local attraction. Fairly priced for what it offers.

Love, love, love. I purchased a family pass and have been three times already in two weeks!

My friends and I had a great day and the staff was so nice and gave us great info about the animals. Stop by at the little cafe before you leave! Very friendly...I saw a donation box but not a tip jar?

Great place, cool animals, place seemed small at first but ended up spending over 4 hours between shows and everything else they have to offer. Cost around 18 per adult but is completely worth it. (Check out the parrots and say hello and goodbye)

This was one of my daughter's favorite things we did while on vacation and we loved it too. They have a great play area, but what's even better is that the place is covered in trees (go figure) and it make for a really cool walk in the 95° weather. Super great afternoon for our weekend vacation to Florida (late may from Portland OR)

Very cool smaller type zoo and you can interact with various animals and feed them which is really cool!

Wonderful day to spend admiring the wildlife, and the kids are able to be interactive with the animals. We will be back!

This place was excellent! We got to pet a skink, a smaller, and a crocodile and got to hold beautiful birds. We fed flamingos, koi, crocodiles (or alligators, I can't remember which), and turtles. The walk through the garden is amazing. We would highly recommend this adventure to all families!

Such a beautiful place to take your family! There is so much to do and see. Very well maintained! The Koi pond was so amazing as well. Thank you!

The Sarasota Jungle Gardens are conveniently located just south of the Ringling Museum and west of Sarasota Airport. Parking is free and the admission is reasonable. This is a long established attraction and provides the visitor with a taste of what tourist attractions were like before Disney changed everything. There are a variety of animals to see, including an American crocodile, a petting zoo for the kids, lots of parrots, several shows (we saw the reptile show), a flamingo pond where you can feed the flamingos, and attractive walkways displaying a wide variety of plants and trees. There is also a snack bar/cafe with very reasonable food prices. This is a great stop for a relaxing tourist experience and is especially good for those with small children. Teens may find it a little too relaxing.

This is perfect if you are looking for something low key. It's a decent facility, very clean; however some of the exhibits (alligator & a couple of different Hawks were way too small which was hard to see. The highlight, by far, was hand feeding the pink flamingos. That was an absolute blast. They are just amazing birds! The kids enjoyed the little petting zoo which had goats, pot belly pigs and a type of chicken. Kids will love it - adults...meh, except the flamingos - they were cool.

The best of the old Florida attractions. It is near so many other great spots too. Feed Flamingos, hold an alligator, snake, or parrot and take pics with your own camera. All those things I mentioned come with your admission. It is also a nice botanical garden too. 1 of Sarasota’s best things to do.

I absolutely love this place. Between all the animals and the flowers it's absolutely beautiful. I was there two hours and that was not enough. Plan about three to four hours. Including but not limited feeding flamingos. Very awesome

Honestly loved it! Being from Miami, i used to the “bigger” in size places but this changed my mind. Although small, its has so many things for families to experience. I especially loved the Bird show and Bird “photos”. You could also feed Flamingos which was pretty cool as in Miami, that wasn’t allowed. Sarasota has proven to be a small, but amazing place!

What a beautiful garden! It offers shows, a petting zoo, beautiful paths leading through lush foliage. There is a big Flamingo pond and you can feed the birds. An excellent place for photography buffs. And, the gift shop offers an abundance of souvenirs to remind you of your visit. The park is a great place to spend some time and unwind.

Took my wife there for her birthday. She loves flamingos and the fact that she could hand feed them was the icing on the cake.

Relaxing atmosphere. They could clean out leaves and hind wires, speakers and hoses in the "jungle". Also did not smell great. Smelled like stagnant water. Flamingo where cool. Definitely more of a kids place.

I take my kids here all the time and we love it. We love the live interaction you can have with the birds and some of the animals. Today I was there for a kindergarten class trip and it was amazing! The stuff was super friendly and helpful. They were also great with the kids!

Flamingos were cool. Beautiful park. Map was confusing. Not enough directional arrows. Animals in cages have little activity stimulation. A couple areas under construction. Some Creatures needed larger spaces. Snakes very cramped. Educational shows were excellent. Speakers had great enthusiasm.

Nice place to go with the family, especially young kids to see animals. They have small animals mostly native to Florida. The flamingos are a big attraction for the kids since they can get super close to them and there are no barrier. Also, they're pretty birds. They also have alligators and reptiles. A great place to get away from the beach for a day.

I feel like this place could use a facelift. However the kids like it. Worth going to. Its been around for decades and is a local landmark of sorts. Everyone's been there at least once.

Decent zoo. I think it should be advertised as a zoo instead of a botanical garden. I didn't see very many exotic plants featured, mostly animals.

This place was kinda cool. The feeding of the flamingos was cool too but I noticed they weren't really in the mood to eat. I think because people show up a lot to feed them maybe giving people less food in the big bags (not the same price either) would maybe help with them not filling up as fast? Also, the petting zoo area was cool with the sheep, goats, pigs and chickens. The tortoises and the other turtle area was kinda cool also. The employees were very nice when explaining things too.

Not impressed at all. Drove an hour to get there and very disappointed. The bird encounter was good, but that was the only thing. Part of the trail was closed and there was no notice until you got up to it. Other exhibits were closed as well. And the much hoped flamingo feeding was a dud. All the flamingos were in the shade and the water was full of flamingo food. They're animals so I know it's unpredictable but it was very disappointing. Even if we'd gotten to feed the flamingos, it still would've been disappointing.

Nice setting with scheduled shows. Trails need more attention and landscaping. More parrots than flamingos.

Fun place to hang out with the kids and animals.

Needs major updating. Not worth the price at all. There is some flamingo s a few gator s, snakes etc petting zoo is 2 pigs goats and a few chickens. Staff is inexperienced and we had some very rude comments from them. Make sure you are clear what you can feed or pet. Old signage is not clear

Love love love this place. It's Soo much better then Naples Zoo. They have alot more interactive places. I was excited to feed the flamingos. They are adding a big snake exhibit to. So will have to come see that.

Great place to interact with different animals. The Fleming's are definitely an experience you want to have.

Lovely place to visit. We have season passes and frequently bring guests here. On a couple of recent occasions, we have experienced a very rude staff member in the gift shop (elderly, blond hair, pulled up). As much as we appreciate the animals, if we have any future negative interactions, we will not return. Owners - customer service should be the focus in the gift shop and in any other places where your staff interacts with your guests. It’s truly a shame that a person selling tickets or merchandise can ruin the experience.

Easily one of the most beautiful places is Sarasota. It's surprising how many exhibits and adventure they packed into this relatively small area. Short, exciting shows (birds, reptiles, alligators, etc.) throughout the day make it a very family friendly place, as do the short walking distances between everything. Thick, very appealing rainforest trails with tiny bridges leading over tiny creeks filled with small tropical fish and turtles make this place enjoyable even during hot and sunny weather. Flamingoes eat straight from your hand at the pretty lake in the back of the park. There's a cafe with free wifi and restrooms and a playground and picnick benches right next to it. You're allowed to bring beverages but no outside food. An adult ticket was 19 bucks and in my opinion definitely worth the money!

It was a blast, we went just for the flamingos and birds but got so much more!! Definitely worth $18 for one photo with the birds alone

Lots of shade - kids had fun - lots of animals and activities to do. Will come back

Horrible ! This place is a shame : Crocodiles are living in a little drop of dirty water. Geant turtles that natural home is wide heart are closed in a tiny space. Please brothers and sisters, make free all animals ! And make this garden a beautiful Botanic Garden as is could become.

Great place for younger children (and probably older adults). Older children will probably sorry through here pretty fast. My 3.5 y/o loved it. The shows were cute and informative. Thankful for the shaded areas. Between holding a baby alligator, a parrot and feeding the flamingos my daughter had a ball. Also a playground in the park is a great addition to get some extra energy out. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

There are birds, feeding of flamingos , reptiles, holding baby alligators and many more interactions. Very kid friendly , there is a playground in the park. Beautiful gardens and plant life everywhere.

If your looking for a place to explore with your kids, you should stop by! Our kids had a great time today feeding the Flamingos and stopping by the petting zoo. The walk ways are beautiful with the different trees, plenty of shade too! They were also excited to see momma peacock and her 4 little babies.

Love love love. Fun place for kids to adults!

Tragic how I drove an hour to get there legally but could not get in due to me “not having a parent” with me. What is there lots of teen loitering going on at jungle gardens? I highly doubt that. Don’t see why you need to be 17+ to get in the park if I legally can drive all the way there. Is the park rated R? That’s a no as well, so what’s the issue? This was about a month or two ago and it still bothers me and the woman who sold the tickets made me feel embarrassed. I asked to purchase tickets but she wouldn’t let me without a parent. I drove my boyfriend for about an hour to get there as a surprise because he had never gone to Jungle Gardens before. At least the park is boring anyways. They completely turned me away and didn’t care about it. Won’t be returning in a few months when I turn 17 or anytime for that matter.

Great place to take the kids, walk around, and enjoy nature and the exhibits.

Love it the staff great animals are awesome a blast alot of walking

Nice place. Look for online coupons. Flamingos are really friendly and eat out of you hands.

It was fun but the map and the walkway isnt right. It started raining and we were using the map, and literally walking in circles when the map wasnt saying we were heading back to the front store. There are also small walk threws that isnt on the map. It was very confusing. But the animal show were very informational. My kid loved it.

I Loved the animals of course. A nice place to visit, price is reasonable, but it was so hot out that day i felt like i was in a jungle! A suggestion: Place just a few overhead fans throughout the park, add some water to turn them into misters! It'll help us and the animals to cool off a bit.

Great experience for the entire family. Lots of fun animal encounters.

A nice place to see a good variety of jungle animals. The children really enjoyed it. The place is very cleaned up and interesting.

Awesome! Took the grandkids (8 and 5) for the afternoon. They both loved it. Lots to see. Especially loved feeding the flamingos. And the petting zoo was fun for the kids. Would definitely recommend. Tons of shady trees too

Have been going here for years. Small but very entertaining. Beautiful setting , nice variety of animals. Petting zoo, able to feed the flamingos, our favorite. and feed the fish.(, pictures with big birds or alligators. Play area, bird show. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our visit. We came on a day it didn't seem very busy. We went to a show and were the only ones there so it was a personalized show. Very nice employees. Loved getting our picture taken with the parrots and really enjoyed feeding the flamingos

Great place to see a variety of animals and some beautiful flora. Nice place to add to your visit to Sarasota

hand on with the animals. staff is great. feed the flamingos first thing. food at the snack bar was really good and reasonably priced. wed go again.lots to see and do here.

The parrot show is a must see and some of the trainers do a better job than others. So much fun for kids. Flamingos are amazing to see up close. Watch out for Flamino #28, he will nip if you get too close.

Such an educational experience, they have daily shows about an hour apart so you can enjoy 2 or 3 during your stay. The food isn't great so I would probably eat before visiting but besides that I had an amazing experience.

Great big little zoo. Little in size but they offer a big enough experience that kept our family busy for quite a few hours. Jungle atmosphere trails were really neat. Butterfly garden filled with fluttering Monarchs. Lots of different birds and reptiles.

You get to feed the flamingos !!! We spent an hour watching them . Loved it !! Worth it . Oh, they do have other animals there also but we went for the flamingos. The pathways with the plants are pretty too

Old-school Florida attraction. Not so much a petting zoo, but it has that vibe. Walk through the gardens and see a variety of Florida flora and fauna.

We loved this place. Hands down the best place to have an interactive experience with the animals. We went for my daughter's 4th birthday and she had such a magical day. Feeding the flamingos was her favorite, but she also fell in love with the goats in the petting zoo. She held an exotic bird for the first time and loved all the animal shows. We will definitely be back! Thank you Jungle Gardens for making my daughter's birthday so special!

Beautiful animals and elegant birds. JUNGLE Gardens has a lot of green foliage and water. Cool places to hang out to avoid the heat.

What a wonderful option for kids and families! Loved this place. Gorgeous and had bird shows (hands on for kids). Flamingos were awesome ans you can feed them! My daughter and I loved it.

This place is awesome. They have a small petting zoo for kids, all different kinds of animals around. You have an opportunity to feed the flamingos, which I highly recommend. There’s a bunch of different paths to view some different plants. They hold a couple of different shows so make sure to plan the times you go.

We liked the animal presentations and feeding the flamingos. The gardens were hot, but we enjoyed walking through.

It is a small but really nice zoo in an amazing exotic setting. Great for a nice walk. The petting zoo and feeding flamingos were the key reasons for our visit and they absolutely worth it!

Always a good time. Close to home and a great way to spend an afternoon with children. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable about the animals they care for.

Quaint place for a family till get together and enjoy an educational review on animals around us

Well worth the visit, especially with small children. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed the reptile show and the petting zoos. We had a very nice time and will come back, if the opportunity should arise.

Nice place to visit! Lots of animals to view and handle, as well as presentations. Thanks!

Was expecting there to be a little more to see, but I wasn't totally disappointed. There was other stuff to keep you busy for about 2 hours or so. They are working on building an extension to a snake exhibit, but overall it was a good trip

This is my second year in a row going here, it's an essential part of our yearly family vacation

All my son wanted to do on vacation was be able to hold a snake. I read this would be possible on the website, but I called and sent a Facebook message just to verify before heading to the park. Both the employee on the phone and the Facebook message confirmed he would be able to hold a snake. Upon arrival the employees were friendly, and the reptile show and room were cool, but when we got to the photo booth, there was a sign stating it would be closed for the entire day. Getting back in the car, my son said, “But I didn’t get to hold a snake.” This was a huge deal for him which means it’s a big deal to me. If the photo booth was going to be closed on certain days, someone should’ve mentioned it. It was the entire point of us visiting, and we wouldn’t have come had I known this was the case. We are really disappointed in Jungle Gardens and will not be returning or recommending it to others.

Awesome place to visit! Beautiful walking trails to see wildlife and learn about alligators, birds, and other animals. You can feed the flamingos, pet animals in a petting zoo, feed soft shell & snapping turtles and for a little extra get your picture taken with a baby alligator, bearded dragon or snake. Fun for the whole family.

good friendly place good to be with the family the people who work there are very friendly and helpful, my happy son feeding the animals thanks sarasota for my vacation

Super fun. Great bird show and lovely grounds.

Very cool spot to bring your kids and hang out.

We’ve sent out son to this summer camp 2 summers in a row! He’s had a blast each time! He comes back with a wealth of knowledge and tells us how they’ve cared for animals each day! I would highly recommend this camp! I appreciate they have optional lunch provisions (extra) for days we didn’t have a packed lunch ready! Great staff with the kids groups! Can’t wait till next summer!

Ok, well maintained property, but leaves you lacking. Some paths go to nowhere and you have to backtrack due construction, unfortunately there was no signs or markings indicating a closed path at the start of the trail. Overpriced when compared to other gardens/city zoos such a Fort Worth zoo. I have seen far better at lower prices, but the animals look well cared for. Dining services also lacking.

It's okay. Not much to really do. The place is pretty run down. I would not come back.

Lots of friendly staff, many animals. Cute shows going almost non stop. Only not perfect thing is one part of the zoo was closed. Says they are building new things. It was not a huge area so didn't take from my rate. Come feed the flamingos. They are so funny!

Awesome... so few people there... animals were great... animal shows were fun and interactive.. tons of parrots, cockatoos, and conures..

Just like I remember as a child. Love walking the paths, seeing the nature, and feeding the birds!

This is a great and very spacious older attraction at any time. There is tons of parking and street access is very good. The staff is friendly and polite. It still looks the same as it did in the 50s and smells the same. However, with the large-scale operations like Busch Gardens these out-of-the-way places in Florida have gone by the wayside. If you want to step back in time, I would suggest going here. Landscaping is gorgeous and photographic opportunities abound! Highly recommend!

We love this place. So much fun for the whole family. The flamingos are great, the reptiles are awesome. They have different shows that you can learn about the different animals. Awesome experience!

Omg! I absolutely loved this place! I love flamingos, and here you can feed them! They also have a petting zoo for the kids and shows through out the day.

Fun times at the gardens. Nice little area to view magnificent creatures up close. Our favorite was feeding the flamingos.

It was a great way to spend the afternoon with the family. We saw the reptile show, heard the zoo keeper talk about Quilly and feed the turtles, Gators and flamingos!

Fun spot for young kids 3 to 12 years old.

I brought my kids while on vacation and it's an absolute gem. Incredibly interactive and the staff was amazing. I couldn't have been more pleased with the visit.

This park is not worth it's money. You pay almost 20 bucks per person. The zoo is super small and dirty and not taken care of at all. There is lots of places where nothing happens. There are no animals and you feel kinda off track. Those places with animals are ok, but still they look like nobody actually cares about it. You need maybe 1 hour to visit the entire park. That's the max. I am sorry but this was one of the biggest disappointments ever.

Came here with my girlfriend on a whim for a day trip on our vacation to Sarasota and it was a ton of fun! The first thing we did was go to the Macaw exhibit where you can have one stand on your arm and take a picture with it! Definitely recommend this part although you have to be there at certain times of the day. We were also lucky enough to be standing next to one of the employees in line who shared A TON of super interesting information about Macaws and was super polite. I wish I remembered her name because she deserves a shoutout for her knowledge and friendliness! She also ran a reptile show we saw later on that we also enjoyed. Feeding the flamingos was also another fantastic part of the day. My advice is to not spend the $3 (I think it was) on flamingo food when you buy your tickets because there are dispensers for the food by their exhibit for 25¢, unless you plan on feeding the flamingos a lot. We had enough food to have a great experience with just 50¢ worth. Overall I would totally recommend stopping by if you’re in the area for a fun morning/day trip. It probably took us about 2 and a half hours to see everything that we could!

Small, nice garden with few animals. This place has seen better days. Maybe in the '70s. Pathways and small bridges are maybe original from when the place was first built. Some animal cages built from wood as if it was a temporary cage. Don't take me wrong. I understand the experience required to run this place. However, sometimes, you just need to invest money to make it current or your tourism money wouldn't return.

Bird interaction was down when we went and they are still working on the giant snake portion of the gardens but other than that it was nice

Loved it!!! Very nice experience. I loved feeding the Flamingos.

Clean nice little animal place. Enough to keep young people (kids) busy and interested for a couple of hours. A few of the Zoo keepers we delt with were young knowledgeable "kids" in their 20's that were passionate about their jobs. They volunteered Some extra information and trivia about the reptiles and birds (their duties this particular day). We went during the week so it wasn't crowded at all. It was hot but being under the natural canapy of the trees kept us in the shade. The snack bar serves ice cream!! Well worth the price and drive.

This was a nice place to take the kids (Young Adults) to learn about the many animals they have on display. They do live animal shows with the many Parrots they have. A lot of the animals they have, especially the Parrots, are rescues. It was worth the price of admission knowing they are rescuing and rehabilitating some of their animals.
