Quite possibly the best zoo I've ever been to! Really enjoyed this place. Not only are all the animals located so you see them up close, the grounds are simply beautiful to walk around. I also found the size to be just right. Not too big that it wears you out. Will definitely be back!

Kristine Rosendahl

A highly dedicated and innovative staff makes this an amazing staycation day. Love the community outreach also.

mia comer

I love the zoo,and Mardy is by far may favorite animal there

Deana Lowe

I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer here after the hurricane came through a couple years ago and I learned so much. I used to go there just as a visitor and always enjoyed it it's great place to take your small children who I believe get in for free if they're under a certain age take their swimsuits and a change of clothes because that fountain is a God sent to you and your children on a hot summer day or basically any day in Florida. but if you do go on a rainy day as long as it's not thundering and lightning you will see a lot more animals out playing in the rain it's the same goes for the cooler days. the animals are like us when it comes to the heat they want to hide in the shade and you won't get to see them. if it's raining a little it's worth getting a little bit wet or take your rain gear and definitely when it's cooler out bundle up and enjoy the view!!!

Mikaela Moe

Amazing zoo, love coming here every time and seeing the exhibits. Staff is always helpful and very informative. Small zoo with a big heart, definitely recommend this to family with children or just to change up from the every day routine.

Richard Sanfratello

Always a great place to visit. My daughter loves it. Just the right size for a nice walk with the little one and the walkways tend to have a lot of shade which is nice. Highly suggest checking out their events as well.

Curry Family

It was great we loved it. The staff were very friendly.

Andrea Liddell

Always a great time at the zoo!! Today the otters were extra playful

Bill Dunn

This place has been a family favorite for about 10 years now. Smack right in the middle of West Palm Beach, you'd almost not believe such a great little zoo could fit inside the city. Has animals of all types there from Alligators and Panthers to Tigers, Lorakeets, and Bush Dogs. Small enough to walk through in a couple of hours, but interesting enough to spend the day there, and they always seem to be doing stuff to improve the experience or bring in new animals/exhibits. Has a nice air conditioned snack area with a selection of finger foods, salads and beverages (including beer and wine). If you have the kids bring/wear their bathing suits, the fountain/water play area in the middle is a nice spot for them to blow off some steam and cool off.

Patricia Wootton

Nice zoo! Clean! Splash pad, air conditioned Cafe, playground, and gift store included. They let you bring your own food too. We had a nice picnic.

Brock MacDonald

My home town has a world class zoo that's free to the public so paying $50 to get into a zoo that had almost no animals was a tough pill to swallow. I think of you aren't used to going to awesome zoos you probably won't know the difference. However, if you have any expectations and you have alternatives you can spend your time on for the day I would definitely recommend going somewhere else.

roger ethier

Love this place. shaded just about every where. Animals seem to be well taken care of. Young children love the water fountains. There's extra parking on the side.

Loren Price

Great for the family. Summer pass is a great deal.

marisela R Ceballo

Love that there's a little for everyone! Water fountain great for refreshing! I like seeing A lot of volunteers helping out clean the park or take care of the animals..Love the Camp zoo......love the recycling bins...bathroom were clean...price a little too much...l cant afford to take my girls! But sure enjoyed it with my campers! I know some days the Zoo offer some special discount but l always miss it...

Calling this a "Conservation Society" is stretching the truth more than a little. It is a nice setting with lovely plants, trees, etc., - for birds, flamingos, turtles and fish. This is NOT the place to keep bears, tigers and other big cats. It's way too small - the enclosures aren't big enough - especially for the two bears. 'Felt especially sad after seeing the giant Anteater loop the enclosure the same way constantly. The larger, wilder-type animals look depressed. The gator was just sitting in a concrete cell, motionless; there was no tiger (and thank goodness, seeing the size of the place it would live). I guess I'd have a lot of questions about why those animals are there if it's about conservation, such as "Will they be free again one day," and "Why are they here?" I though the cafe was great, actually, and gave the waitress more than the regular 20% because the service was fast, personable, pleasant and the food was hot. Finally: What is WITH the Volunteer Guy in the Butterfly area? We actually wanted to spend a little more time in this area today but he was belligerent and out to prove something (around noon today, we were there). He was pushy with a creepy way about him. Make a change there, PBZ&CS!

Julian Miranda

Very fun place to watch and learn about the animals and also sketch. The food is alright and reasonably priced. Very much enjoyed a lot of the animals here and appreciate the variety of animals they have to offer.

Jenna Bartnick

I love our local zoo. It's small and perfect for kids. There is a fountain for the kids to play in so bring your suits, towel, and definitely sun block. I try and save that until the end :). There is a snack bar and a sit down restaurant. They serve food, drinks, beer, and wine. They also offer animal experiences that are my favorite. You can feed a sloth or feed a tortoise. It's really awesome.

P. Sherman

Not a bad way to kill 3 hours but overall not great. Fun for kids. The habitats are nicely done for the animals. The animals are a bit stir crazy. It's a well kept place and they really seem to care. I hate seeing these animals in captivity. But unfortunately man seems to like to destroy nature and it's creatures, then puts them in cages to preserve them?????

James Brady

I Grew up in the DC area. The DC zoo is free and has about every animal in the kingdom. This Zoo you do have to pay for but it's Way more better kept. Animals are right in your face. Exhibits are beautiful. If you get the time stop in. Staff is super friendly when asking questions.

MVP

Nice zoo. Went on a hot day so I'm not sure if that's why so many animals weren't out. Also had a few exhibits closed. Still fun with the kids.

Alex Wehmeyer

I can't believe I waited so long to come here! This zoo is just beautiful, it feels like you're experiencing an intimate, personal tour. The employees are wonderful and full of knowledge. You can feel they truly love what they do, and love the animals they care for. My favorite part was how close you get to the animals! All the animals look healthy and happy. Best part...it's shaded and they have a splash pad - that's important in our South Florida sun!

Arielle Pendergrass

This place was surprisingly amazing! The enclosures were clean and beautifully crafted.

Vivian Alejandra Carcamo Cañas

Its a great place to ser different kind of animals with the family.

Taisha Chery

It was great! We had so much fun!

Sharon Johnson

Beautiful habitats for all animals. Great splash zone for the kids. Membership prices are very reasonable. Food court has decent food for the prices

tsb stallion

Went to the zoo today with my family and tbh it was a waste of expenses and time. We got there at about 1:30. It was not much going on AT ALL. Animals looked TIRED and I wish they could have told us or discounted the price. The tiger wasnt available for us to see. Their main attraction Mardi the alligator wasn’t even moving. Jaguar stayed at one spot. Only saw 2 monkeys. No shows available. Not much went on for the price paid for.

Waleska

Great place to take your kids. They have a little spray park where your little ones can stay cool. Lots of animals to see.

Carrie Carrie

I love this zoo for my toddlers. It is small and very shady and easy to walk around with them. It takes forever to buy food; bottled water and Coke is $4 or $3 at the vending machines so just make sure to bring your own food. They also have a train and carousel, 2 for $5 for the kids. If you go for a special event make sure to check the website ahead of time before heading out. They will cancel due to inclement weather.

Craig Lazell

Wonderful small zoo,my wife Lucy and I loved it.So well laid out.I would recommend going there especially if you have children. They who run it, should say it is a sanctuary for animals, as the animals have been brought there for a purpose because of their history. So please support it.Enjoy the day.

Sharon Donaldson

This is the best zoo in South Florida for children. The animals are primarily rescues and they have a splash zone, so ethical and fun. The staff all know the animals by name and are ready to answer questions with a great attitude! Right now they have a promo for a free second visit between now and labor day. We love it.

Mariu E.

We love palm beach zoo. This time we visited during the week in the morning. I noticed done exhibits were closed and common ground were not as clean as I remember. We still had a good time with our children.

Denise Novick

This place was really great, the grounds and enclosures are spacious and beautifully maintained. We were there on a quiet weekday and so many of the staff and volunteers happily took time to talk to us about the animals. JW especially spent a long time entertaining us with fun facts. Will definitely return.

Kathy Jablonski

Well kept facility with a good variety of animals. My son and I paid the additional fee for the sloth encounter. It was wonderful to be up close and personal with their two toed sloth Wilbur. I believe they also offer other animal encounters such as koalas.

Edward Mera

What a fantastic zoo. Its mostly rescue animals and the staff truly cares for these animals. I wouldn't call it a large zoo by any means but absolutely worth spending an afternoon at!

Cindy B

Lots of awesome animals that you actually get to see!

Stephy C

The panthers & kimono dragon were not out and the day was really hot! They would benefit from putting misting fans around the walking trails for families especially to cool off small children. Besides the heat the zoo is pretty cool

Sean Streed

Great zoo. Not too big that you can't view it all in one day.

Michelle m

So many beautiful animals! The zoo has a great layout and great exhibits.

Kadian Stewart

My experience is good the staff are friendly. It is budget friendly also. It is not a large zoo but there is a lot to see and do.

Courtney matthews

This issue was very nice that's why I gave it three stars it was fun and the trails were cool. There were no cool off zones at all whatsoever except for the cafe and the fountain in the front. We brought our one year old and no bathing suits we assumed there would be cool off sounds but there are not the only place you could cool off was like I said the cafe and the menu prices were extremely high. This being said we did not stay very long and we were disappointed in the money we spent and did not feel satisfied.

M J

This is a great zoo! The animal habitats mimic the habitats they’d be in if they were able to be in the wild. The zoo also educates on conservation and how we all can help. Some animals were hiding, but it’s August and 90 degrees. I don’t blame them!

Goodbyemrcool

Good time! Lots to see, best to go when its cooler and overcast. The animals are more active when it's cool and raining.

Alex Gross

Have been going here forever, they have a wide arrange of animals that are not in cramped cages and the paths are very hard to get lost on. They also have great shows where they take the animals moods and health into consideration.

Roman Buchta

Great place. Lots of animals. Friendly employees. Relaxing. Great place for kids. Worth to see it.

Valley Girl

This is a really nice zoo and we had a great time here. All the different animals to see!

Julius Bridges

A great way to learn and have fun all while proceeds help protect animals! Alot of learning opportunity for kids as well! The splash pad is a great addition especially in Florida heat

Laura Hartshorn

My husband and I went for a visit here recently on our honeymoon! We had a great time and the zoo setup is great. The only two things I disliked: 1. The bathrooms were FILTHY and truly were disgusting! I’m almost 8 months pregnant and had to use the restroom a lot, I eventually just held it dreading to go into the bathroom again! 2. The prices for even a snack were a little high!

Prototype Kaito

For anyone who loves animals and want to learn more about them, as well as a huge spot for Pokemon Go players.

Kat S

I really like this zoo! There are many animals to see here. My favorite part is the animal encounters. We got to meet a sloth!

Tanvir Ahmed

Nice place to take your little one!! Lots of place for them to run around and play

Rey M

Always a nice place to visit. Not too crowded oh, just the right size. Always something new to see. It is a great place to bring the kids and family. They have fun events and we have been going there for years. Just remember to always bring a swim suit because there is a water area where the kids can go play.

Jason Livernois

Nice zoo..not to big you can see the whole thing in a few hours..lots of animals we're out when we visited..good display of many animals.. nice restaurant to stop for lunch and lots of shade and spots to stop and sit.. Very well maintained we enjoyed our time there

Jay H

My Palm Beach Zoo review is a good one although a couple things preventedba 5-star review. At arrival, the parking situation was a nightmare. There was no parking available and a huge line. We were forced to park across the street. Not a big deal but an inconvenience. Secondly, a few animals dod not appear to be around such as the otter, tigers and a couple other animals. Despite this, there were plenty of other amazing animals to be seen so my experience was definately great. It just fell short of 5-star great. 3 dollar bottle of sodas doesn't help either.

Yami Triana

Very small zoo for the price of admission. There are a lot of great animals to see but they should offer more shows. This is definitely geared towards younger kids. The water area is good for young kids.

Gianna Rose

Amazing camps and this zoo really takes care of all their animals! Beautiful scenery! This is by far one of the absolute best zoo's in the area!!!

Laura Difeterici

Took my grandkids, had a great time. Animals were out and lively, got to see the tiger get fed, very exciting. Small zoo, great for small children, easy walk, took our time, had a snack midway, spent an enjoyable 3 hours.

Zein Ferdousi

Splash pads for kids, animals, birds, reptiles and stone structures makes it fun! Entry lines gets long during mid day but moves fast.

Ivaylo Simov

We liked it enough to buy a year pass. Perfect size. Not too big or too small. Splash kids area is awesome finale of the family day at the zoo.

Meredith Naim

One of my favorite zoo's to visit! We found the Palm Beach Zoo to be small enough that when we walked through casually we did the whole park in 2 hours and 45 min, but had plenty of beautiful and interesting animals to see. The 3 different sections had plenty of fun animals to watch and more importantly learn about. The zoo keepers were very friendly and helpful with sharing information about the animals in their care along with answering any questions we had. We found ourselves in a Flamingo walk, where the zoo keepers walked the flamingos to an area to feed them and show off some beautiful features of these birds. There was a bird show at 2pm that was fun for adults and kids alike, and the animals were all well fed and had plenty of shade and amenities that they needed. The cafe had well priced and good sized portions of tasty food. We were allowed to bring in some snacks and drinks for our 1 year old no worries or questions. This is a place we will be coming back to visit many times over the years as our children grow up!!!

Josh Quick

The Palm Beach Zoo offers a leisurely walk through well thought out, well maintained, and pleasantly integrated exhibits. It features many areas grouped by regions or animals and includes many educational and interactive elements. There are spots to cool down, unique ways of looking at animals while giving the animals protection and privacy, and there are friendly staff everywhere to help answer your questions. This is a little gem in the heart of West Palm.

Lindsay Grimm

If you are looking to do something in under 3 hours, this is the place to go. The exhibits seem nice, and for the most part, well kept. We will visit again. The kids really enjoyed it. Our only critique would be the condition of the bathrooms. They were a little run down, and dirtier than expected.

Alexandru Popescu

Super small and very few animals. Don't waste your time and money. 1 hour we saw everything. Go to the miami zoo or the safari.

Stacy Minotti

My family loves the Palm Beach Zoo!!! This is our second year having a membership and we usually go at least once a week. The splash pad is awesome for the hot days and we love feeding the parrots. My daughter loves going to visit Mardi too. The food is yummy and totally affordable and there is always a place to sit in the shade and enjoy lunch. This is definitely one of our favorite places!

Tracie Dimond

Brew in the Zoo is so much fun. I just really wish after paying a $50 charge for entrance and beer....they didn’t run out of beer about an hour and a half after the event starts. They should make sure the vendors bring enough beer to serve everyone. Other than that it’s a cool event!

Rudiana Cruces

Beautiful place. Nice to relax and walk around. I went there in a Monday it wasn't crowded at all just perfect. They have a nice cafe area where you can have some snacks. I just buy sodas and water, same price than any park.

Melissa C

We had a lovely time and took advantage of the flamingo experince. Keepers were super friendly and informative... So glad we did it. We are now annual pass holders.

JR Taxes

I looked at website this morning and the top said 50% off because of weather. The banner had no date. When I get to box office they charged full price stating it was a marketing error, even though it was clearly raining. The cashier stated nothing I can do. After driving 40 minutes. I paid full price but they should of made adjustments for their error.

Wren Schmitt

Amazing zoo! We had a great time walking around and seeing all of the animals. Check out there Facebook for specials. If it is a rainy day sometimes they will have a deal.

Paula Greenberg

I love bringing friends and relatives here. It is a beautifully laid out zoo, with shady spots to cool off in, even a fun sprinkler area for the kids to run through. Good food is available, not too expensive. Not too big so you can see everything without exhausting yourself or your visitors

Stitch Blue

This place was so much fun! The staff is friendly and the zoo was easy to navigate. I would recommend a visit.

A. J.

I loved it. The kids loved it.

Liam Hinton

I went to this zoo on a Monday. It had few people, which greatly facilitated the tour with small children (one of 2 and another of 6 years). The zoo is well maintained and clean, having few stressed animals (I counted two species). The diversity of animals is great and there is space for interactivity with birds, in which we can give nectar and they come in our hand. It's a program that could be done in two hours.

M Lopez

Nice small zoo, love the fact that all of the animals they have are either rescued or brought in from other zoos only.

Rogue- Fael

Always amazing friendly and so many changes in the last 2 years!!

Raymond Giraud

It's a nice and friendly atmosphere zoo. Animals look to be in good health. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Especially the staff member in the kids train and carousel area. Volunteers are around handing out knowledge to guests which is wonderful. The fountain in the center that connects all the areas is great and it's fun to see all the kids running through the water.

Joey D

Quaint, nicely designed and taken care of zoo / conservatory. Great variety of animals. Great photo ops. Not too busy. I do wish it was cheaper for kids. $20 for adults and $10 for kids seems reasonable. We paid $68 for 2 adults with a 5yo. Had we more kids with us, we might not have gone in. I completely understand the amount of money it takes to run a zoo. But the bulk of that cost could be put on more local businesses and city / county. More subsidies to keep this park nice, rather than high child prices. Less 1-time art donations, and more subsidies for admission.

Sam Massaro

Nice zoo! My first time there. My overall experience was great. It was a Saturday and not crowded at all, The food is cheap, a few nice shows and friendly staff. Didn't go with 5 starts because of the selection of animals to see. When you go to the zoo you expect to see zebras, lions, giraffe and rhinos but none of them were there so a lot little disappointed there but everything else was pretty cool.

Stephanie Bea

Such fun!! We have a membership here and try to come at LEAST once a month. The size of this zoo makes it doable in one day and the shade really helps. The splash pad and recently added play area are a great plus for families. Our family also looks forward to all the holiday events they host here! Best zoo in South Florida!!

manuelabadawy

The staff is extremely knowledgeable; has great programs to educate while entertaining kids and adults. These are all rescued animals! Great job by all staff, very well run.

Amy Paci

What a fantastic visit! The up close experience with the Sloth named Wilbur was phenomenal! And we were a part of news story about the zoo at the tiger exhibit. To thank us we were treated to a delicious lunch at the Tropics Cafe. We will definitely be back again!

Rakibur Joarder

Great place for kids to spend the day. Their family annual pass is affordable and of great value. They also holds lots of special events great for kids.

Stephani Davis

A little small but still took a few hours to explore. Had a good afternoon. The staff was super friendly and the zoo was kept very clean.

Daniel Summers

This zoo is very clean. The animal enclosures were clean, very large, very diverse. Many of the animals are 'rescues' that for various reasons are not able to survive in the wild. The zoo does a great job of telling the stories of rescue/rehabilitation on the placards near the enclosures. Pretty good diversity for a relatively small zoo.

Aaron Gray

Great for kids, exhibits are close together and the facility is clean. Arrived at 10am on the Monday of a holiday weekend and it wasn't too crowded. When we left around 1pm, there was a long line at the ticket office. So arrive early! Lots of shaded areas and there's a splash pad in the middle of the Zoo so be sure to bring extra clothes for the kiddos.

CJ Minardi

Looking for something fun to do this week with the whole family? We say, Check out the Palm Beach Zoo

MzDidi23

Get a season pass. It's worth it if you have children. Kids have fun in the splash area and there's a restaurant with indoor and outdoor sitting and members receive a discount there. Staff is very friendly. Walking through has a good amount of shade. Go early or when the weather is rough if you want to see the animals when they are most active. Also take pennies and quarters to get your zoo printed penny for 51 cents. There are 4 different prints to collect.

Roy Cobb

While it is a smallish zoo, what it does have is fantastic. I brought my grandchildren here and they had an absolute blast seeing the animals. Well worth the trip.

Winston Bloomingdale

I wish the animals werent in cages. They should be free. The only reason i am giving them 5 stars is because the young lady who sold me tickets agreed to go out to dinner with me if i paid for her car repairs. Shes a beaut but the animals are sad.

Jayleen Adorno

This place it's beautiful! It's well taken care off the few animals that I saw looked healthy. Kid friendly, beautiful gardens, plants and ponds. It's small but truly enjoyable. Sadly It was raining when i went. But they have plenty of shades for a sunny day.

Nelly Harris

Animals were awake and lively in the morning. Love that they let kids in free for September.

Tayla Clougho

This is one of the most interesting landscapes for a zoo. You are immersed in a local tropical oasis. The animal collection in not overly large but well diversified. Great for children without wearing them out. They will want to go back again. Congrats for a job well done.

Peter Preston

This zoo is very clean. The animal enclosures were clean, very large, very diverse. Many of the animals are 'rescues' that for various reasons are not able to survive in the wild. The zoo does a great job of telling the stories of rescue/rehabilitation on the placards near the enclosures. Pretty good diversity for a relatively small zoo.

Denise r

Nice atmosphere. Kids playing at the fountain. Mostly shaded areas through the zoo. Animals were very active

Trisha Cook

Love this place. We try to go in the morning to avoid big crowds.

Radai Cintron

I love this place and go there at least once a month. A great place to spend time with the family serious

Patty Lopez

Is ok, small & well kept not much variety of animals but all of them look very happy & healthy, well fed. I don't like that they don't have a lot of room to run or play inside their cages. The water fountains is a nice touch during summer for children to play. Their food is good. I love that there is a lot of shade to rest. We used groupon to get in $17

Kathleen Gorby

Nice small zoo with plenty of animals to see up close.

Jessica Peck

It was a good place to visit. A few exhibits were being worked on so they were currently closed but it was a great trip to enjoy.

Lisa Burford

The PB Zoo is my spot for serenity. Perfectly laid out, with an abundance of wildlife from near and far. There is an incredible play area and water fountain to play in, and a pretty decent cafe.

Divya Thakkar

It is a great zoo for spending 3-4 hours, we could see so many different animal and were well feed. Inside cafe for food has decent option for vegetarian and service was good. I wish if the parking was bit better or else you might have give for valet.

Rosa Valladares

Small beautiful zoo with many animals and opportunities to learn about their environment. A water fountain for kids to play. Cafe serves good food. Mayan ruins looked authentic but Not enough parking. Arrive early spend the day.

Megan Deligio

So cute and fun. Our two toddlers loved it. It's small enough to feel manageable but big enough to keep everyone entertained. Bring a stroller. The birds are fun. Also, the personal animal encounter was well worth the money.

L P.

Was served moldy hot dog bun with my hot dog. Was told that they can give me a refund of 3.76 for the hot dog. I don’t care about the refund but It was more of a concern that I was there for a field trip and I am not sure how many other kids or adults had a hot dog.

Tiffanie Artigas

Nice setting, great fountain for kids, would be nice if there were interactive exhibits.

Robert Marsh

My kid loves it here. Paths are shaded which is major in the south Florida heat. Fun little fountain for the kids to play in to help them cool off

Lloyd Parker

Was a good time. Live music and beer. I think they need more bar's maybe two at the fountain.

Emma Anne

My family and I are huge animal lovers so naturally we very much enjoy going to the zoo. We have been here many times. We first took my son here when he was almost two and ever since then every chance we get he asks if we can go back. He is now 10 and we have probably gone at least twice a year since our first visit. We love to interact with the animals. He absolutely loves lizards, so he spends as much time in the reptile area as we let him. I absolutely recommend taking your children to The Palm Beach Zoo! We have tuns of fun every single time. Its been eight years since our first visit and we never tire of going. Everytime they always have something new also. If you have not been here please go. Your children will thank you!

Anime Junkie

Loved it the kids had a great time lots of trees so we weren't so hot.

Chrissy M

The layout of this place is perfect for children. The pathways through each part of the world offer plenty of shade and space. There aren't a large amount of animals here, but the spaces offer so many learning opportunities for kids that they really get to see and experience enough without realizing there are no larger animals (that shouldn't be in cages anyway). Additionally, the staff is very knowledgeable about the animals and friendly. The splash pad/water feature is the perfect way to end the trip. The price of entry is my only complaint: we are world travellers and this is the most expensive zoo we've ever been to. I only hope the money goes to taking care of the animals.

B Walsh

I have to agree with some other reviews. Its nice. But small. Its great if you have little ones and want to walk through the zoo in just over an hour. Lots of shade. The last time I went (5.28.19) they were doing a lot of construction and had quite a few exhibits closed which was disappointing. The fountains are another option after a hot day, but they do get crowded in the summer with camp groups.

Kenneth Naim

Nice place. Very few large animals. Bird feeding was a lot of fun

Ashley Gardner

Amazing zoo! We had a great time walking around and seeing all of the animals. Check out there Facebook for specials. If it is a rainy day sometimes they will have a deal.

Elizabeth Penaloza

The zoo itself is nice and the walkways are shaded. The person working today at the outdoor concession stand (Sammi Jo?) next to the restaurant was so incredibly rude to EVERYONE. During my first visit to the concession stand, I saw her filling bags of popcorn, so I ordered popcorn and she directed me to the prepackaged popcorn in front of the counter with an attitude. Something told me not to get that popcorn and I decided against it. The second time I went to buy water, a woman in front of me was returning a bag of stale popcorn. The employee never apologized and just took the bag with an attitude and threw it away. The customer obviously felt awkward and she actually APOLOGIZED to the employee and explained that her kids tried to eat it but it was too stale. She asked if she could just have a bottle of water instead of a refund and the employee just handed a bottle to her. I asked for a bottle of water and asked if there were any pretzels as I didn’t see any. She, again, seemed bothered and stated they were in the oven. I took my water and stepped away to wait for my husband who was in the restroom. Then, I see the pretzels being brought out by a man in a black polo while the employee is filling bags of popcorn. I go back to the empty counter and she looks at me and continues scooping popcorn while he hangs pretzels. He tells her there’s a customer at the counter and she replies that I want a pretzel. The pretzels were pretty dark. As I see that she’s finally stopping what she’s doing and getting me a pretzel as he hangs them, I ask for one that isn’t burned and they both (with attitude) reply that they are supposed to be that dark. I’ve had a million pretzels in my lifetime. They are not that dark and they could’ve easily just given me a lighter pretzel. I decided not to buy anything. I’m not sure if this man is a concession supervisor, but ALL of the employees working the concessions - inside and outside - seem like they hate their jobs. I bought a bag of sour cream chips at the inside concession that were apparently expired about two weeks. What a mess. Even my husband who is a really easygoing person was at a loss with how rude this person was, as well as the man who appeared to be some sort of supervisor. Do better. I’m not going to spend $100 to spend a day at a small zoo to deal with rude employees and expired food. The zoo itself is charming, the employees at your concession stand that should be driving food and drink sales and even up-selling need better leadership because they all look and act like they hate their jobs and customers.

Colleen Axtell

I haven't been to this zoo since my kids were little. I'm now taking my granddaughter here and it is just beautiful. Lots of upgrades and the splash area for the little ones is just perfect. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Gonzalo Cadavieco

Nice place to spend some quality time with the family. lots of shade and relaxing areas for the kids. Try to get the annual pass

Yamia Williams

I loved it. It was awesome

A little disappointed. I was so excited to go see all the animals with my kids and it was such a let down! There were zip- zero animal encounters, plus the birds were too full for us to feed them. If you miss a show, too bad, there are no more times available. Never heard that one before. Felt sorry for a lot of the animal habitats that were way too small. It was quite depressing. You walk and walk and there aren't enough exciting things to see. I expected a lot more from The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society.

Great place for young children. Plenty of animals to see and a beautiful cafe serving lunch (truffle fries, hamburgers, chicken tenders, beer, fountain drinks etc.). FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.

Mia

Small enough to see in a few short hours. Well laid out and plenty to do with the kids. Small splash pad for the kids to cool off in. Don't miss taking a look at Mardi!

sycobebe

I had a great time! It was beautiful to see all the different kinds of animals. Great place to spend a few hours and help feed n keep animals alive and safe.

Miki Ciraky

Besides the cool trees and walkways... This was basically a bird sanctuary. The tiger and Panthers were basically hidden or not out. It wasn't a hot or humid day so figured animals would be up and about... Nope. Nothing great to see, no lions, elephants, zebras or giraffes. No aquatic place either. We got back to the entrance and were shocked how small it was. It passed the time on a cloudy day but for the outrageous price of 25.00 a person!!!!!! Not worth it!

Laura Praed

Every time we come here we discover something new. My mom watches my two boys and has a seasonal pass and we love it! The animals are like our family we learn so much about them, we love this zoo! The water fountain is a great place for kids to play when it's a hot day and they kids need to get out some energy!

Stephanie Martin

I have hundreds of photos from this place but for some reason it's not picking up the album review that has the photos. I love going to this place especially with my two and a half year old twin boys who love the fountain to play in the water with and all of the animals everything are wonderful to see as well however I don't like seeing them in cages but they are in definitely good hands and they are a delight to see. 20 minutes

Brian Niemczyk

Always a great place to bring my 2yr old son. He loves it every time and he plays in fountains when we are on our way out. Remember to ask about the veterans discount when getting your tickets!

Michael Hill

Its a nice zoo. A few of the employees look absolutely miserable which is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars .

George Gold

Great day to spend the day for any age. remarkable little zoo with plenty of goodies. Restaurant serves good food and most of the exhibitions are in the shade as it has a forest like environment to the whole zoo. The animals well kept well treated and the entire environment is one of enjoyment and lots of smiles.

Lolo Lo

I really enjoyed taking my 5 year old niece. The two cons I missed the restaurant hours but luckily they had a cafe next door which we grabbed some quick food. The additional pay to watch the animal shows kindy pricey around 30 bucks a ticket.I really enjoyed the fact this zoo is really shaded and the sun doesn't feel as potent. I wish I would've known so my niece would've taken her bathing suit and towel. They have a little water play area for the kids. Will definitely make another trip here again.

This place has grown beautifully, a lot of care has clearly gone into the keeping the animals happy and their enclosures kempt. Plenty of small daily events and great seasonal ones. Veterans get in free and annual passes available. Fountains offer a great place to cool down for the kids.

Melinda Young

Had good time with kids, have water play which is very needed since so hot. Wish were more animals that were out to see. Need more vendors. And I never in last few times there was a show going on.

Ryan Darling

Not really big, but well appointed. Beautiful exhibits and happy animals. Very kid friendly, including a central fountain just begging to be played in.

Jill Domenico

Normally I’m not a fan of zoos. I believe animals belong in the wild. However, this zoo has animals who’ve been rehabilitated and are unable to return to the wild. The animals look happy and healthy.

Michael Chase Flack Fox

This was an amazing Zoo. It actually caused us to buy an annual membership. It was That good. One pointer however - it gets VERY oppressively hot. Beware elderly, those with heart conditions, or people who just DON'T enjoy hot-n-humid.

Whether I go with my family or my girl scout troop, this zoo has some great events and a great atmosphere. I love how the zoo takes care of their animals. The upkeep of the zoo is seriously positive and detailed. The staff is very knowledgeable too. They even hired one of my former students there. A quiet gem in unsuspecting cave.

Katie Coluccio

I enjoyed walking around and seeing all the animals. They seemed well taken care of and happy.

Its nice but small He had a great time but for the price wasn't worth it. We were able to get through the entire park plus lunch in about 2 hours. The upside is it's well shaded, the food was good, and they give you a ticket to return for free so for that then yes it's worth it.

D S

Arrived at 9:30am . There were a few exhibits closed , and it says you can't bring food or drink into park yet there was an issue with every beverage vending machine but one . I would expect when you open that the machines are fully loaded and that they are working . Also clearly labeling the cafe entrance with better placed signs would have been better . Bathrooms also needed attention .

chris mallen

This place is incredible!! Love how shaded this zoo is. Really makes it fun to enjoy even in the South FL heat. Cool experiences too watching the trainers work with the animals.

Mary Leyzeaga

Nice zoo. Free parking. You can bring your food, drinks and snacks. The kids can play in the fountain (the need swimwear). I little bit expensive the tickets.

L Hernandez

Awesome little place. My son had a blast

Conni Clough

Disappointed that there were not more Annimals. Saw lots of empty places where they should be but few were in sight

Lauren Maline

Overpriced. Not very clean. Not very exciting. Rude staff at entrance. Good thing kids were free this month. Wont return.

Nancy Wethington

First time at Zoo. Bought Family pass and Grandparent pass. Very Friendly staff

C

A super display of animals from all over the globe. Love the bird display and the lady bug release- hilarious but wonderful to watch the kids interact with the prospect of ‘check out and release.’ They have many things for the whole family to do, including a small train and traditional carousel for them to ride.

Layzee

I would definitely recommend that you visit this place. Even though the zoo is small, the adorable animals are worth it. I'd recommend spending a few extra dollars at the lorikeet loft.

Dan Cornford

I love this zoo. I have an annual membership, and I visit often enough that I can watch changes in the animals, such as watching a howler monkey go from an infant that is barely visible (hey, does that monkey have a second little tail?) to a baby that is now about 1/8 the size of mom. In addition to the animals, there's a fountain to play in, a small playground, a carousel and small train, lots of shady spots, and lots of benches.

Callum Ortega

I take my kids here all the time and it's always a blast! My oldest loves to play in the splash zone area. Plenty of refreshments including beer and wine. We even got to hold a sloth!

Will Ham

This was a nice zoo. We went during the week therefore it wasn't crowded and had a lot of one on one time with the zoo keepers which gave us an excellent opportunity to learn a great deal about a lot of the animals. The employees seemed to really care and enjoy their jobs and were really nice. We would definitely return if in the area and have the time.

Dania Perez

Park was clean. Customer service was good. However I believe the animals can be a little better kept in their area with more water and pools where they can bathe due to this heat. Our family of 8 didn't see all the animals out which was disappointing. Hopeful they'll be better next year.

Roy Cullipher

It's the zoo at closing time that I love the best.

John Carlos Landry

Amazing place for kids and adults alike. Been going here for almost 20 years and always a great time.

Natalya

Beautiful animals and great lay out of the zoo. Decently priced food.

Sal Paci

What a wonderful zoo!!! The family was in from NY and wanted a day away from the beach and pool and we decided to come here. WHAT A FANTASTIC TIME!!! Up close to the animals in all the exhibits and just a great day. When we come back for vacay, we will come again. Cant wait!!!!

manish vanmali

As far as the zoo.... I like the zoo for watching the animals..... as far as photography goes.... the nets and cages get in the way of getting the shot which is very disappointing.... photography wise..... lion country safari or zoo miami is far better then this place especially for photo ops with the animals

Anthony Magalhães

Nice zoo! Just a bit small. The animals seem well taken care of, however. We came for the Brew at the Zoo event which was a good time.

_juuzou. suzuya_and_andrea_

Nice place to hang out with friends and family but bring sunscreen and bug spray cause you'll need it

Susan

Perfect size zoo. I leisurely walked around and was able to see everything in about 2.5 hrs. Several benches were available around the park to sit and a majority were in the shade. I did not feel rushed or cramped when viewing the animals.

Claudia Krause

Excellent zoo. The zoo was very clean and a great atmosphere. Customer Service was great in each of the shops. Lots to see and do. Very nice indeed. It is a whole family experience they will enjoy.

Erin Gwyn

Amazing zoo. Spacious, clean and authentic habitats for a diverse array of species and many interactive opportunities for kids and adults alike. 50% off admission on a rainy day was a huge bonus! Plenty of covered areas along walkways offered perfect shelter for brief intermittent sprinkles.
