REVIEWS OF Jungle Island IN Florida

We reached there at 2:15 pm or so. The price was way too high. It was not worth it spending that much money for just couple of hours. Not much animals. You will just see parrots and monkeys. No lions as shown in picture. I thought we will be there until 5 but we were done before 3:30 or so. It was so small. We just waited to see show. Just a total waste of money.

Limor Man

The general admission is pretty costy. The park itself is nice, and clean. The shows are nice but quite short

F M M

Amazing place, my daughter is in a summer camp and this is the best place we know. We are so thankful. Dana and Samantha make this place better

Pretty Young Thing.

Went there with my children's school. It was lovely. There were many beautiful parrots, monkeys, baboons, and different species of fishes. There was not enough time to take it all in, as we were on a field trip with time restraints. I would definitely go back for another visit.

Sofia Bannister

We visited Jungle Island and did the lemur encounter. It was so much fun and such a cool experience. There was some things under construction and we had seen things on their social media that we didn’t find when we visited. Overall it was a fun experience and the food in the park is also great.

Anita Russell

We were blessed by a wonderful VIP tour with Ryan...he is amazing and so inspiring to listen to. The love he has for the animals that dwell within the Jungle Island boundaries is like no other love I have seen. The animals are family members for all that work there and our experiences were incredible. We were able to play with the lemurs, feed the tortoises, feed alligators, feed and sit with the Pink Flamingos, and pet the Condor! I would recommend this to everyone! Can't wait to see Ryan and his team again soon!

Charlotte Jordan

Chinese Lantern Festival was amazing! Runs Oct - Dec it is a must do!

Tiffany davis

$285 for 3 kids and 2 adults, could even hear the lady speak about the animals. For a place where it rains so often I'm shocked how chaotic it was and unprepared it seemed . Water dripping onto the seats from the covered ceilings . Spent half hour inside walking to the show and had no options available as far as food or drinks since everything closed due to the rain. Dissatisfied and disappointed is an understatement

Tia Huffman

Amazing zoo. We have been here multiple times and we always come back when we are in Miami. Can't wait to come back.

The Bacon Family

Fantastic! All of us has had a blast here! We were there on a weekday and it wasn't overcrowded at all. We learned a lot at the shows. The staff are all very informative and seem to really enjoy their jobs. You can tell they take great care of the animals. Parking was $10 when we were there. You can easily find great discounts online if you're only going once, or they have a FL resident deal right now where you pay for one day and get free admission the rest of the year (not sure if it's only until the end of year or if it's good for 365 days, but either way is a great deal if you plan on going a few times). You should definitely know before you go: Many adventure games are included in your ticket, but do require closed toe shoes (water shoes are fine), have height/weight restrictions, and are subject to the weather (especially lighting). There is a water park play area with serveral inflatable waterslides, so have your kids bring their bathing suits if that's your thing.

Annie Panov

Jungle Island is a very friendly place to visit - especially with kids. After the renovation, it's even better. I loved the new feature of indoor skydiving, the zipline and the since the lunched LIGHT the NIGHT I dream about to organize an event there. Great for weddings btw.. or for corporate events. We were able to interact with lemurs (My Favorite) & pet the Kangaroo. Great Place to Visit! Do not miss it

Theo Stone

It's a fun quick park. Decent food prices too. Good informative shows.

Justin Corsa

One of our favorite places to visit. Great place for everyone! It's a beautiful layout with plenty of parking, and lots to see!

Alixandria Hilliard

I went with my parents and we purchased the sloth package. It was enough content to spend a few hours there. There’s lots of parrots and tropical birds perched around. I mean, a LOT, which was kind of cool. They have a decent variety of animals, including lemurs, warthogs, alligators, and a GIGANTIC tortoise. (He was my favorite.) The shows were a little cheesy but overall it’s a good place to come at least once and a good outing for when friends are in town. The pictures are expensive, but otherwise it was a decent value!

Wanda Ward

It was one of the most amazing experiences my husband and I have ever had! To be able to interact with live tropical animals was truly awesome! An excellent end to our vacation . we cannot wait to return

Maria Dimitrova

The place is very nice. They have an incredible bird show that is a must to see! The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because some of the staff working there is not very friendly and they kinda kill the vibe. Other than that is very clean the birds are all around the place which is adorable and you can see many different species.

Nina Nothdurft

Small but nice to walk through. They have added an area for kids activities, wall climbing, zip line, highrise ropes and trampoline jumping.

Irene Rosa

Place has a lot of activities, bouncy houses with water are really cool for kids and you can spend a good amount of time there, I saw zip lining, jumping, and other things that seemed very cool, food truck, plenty picnic area, plenty bathrooms. Little spots where you can sit and relax.

Hiram Ruiz

The landscaping is very nice. That's the high point. Most of the animals are kept in old time small cages enclosures. Very sad and upsetting. The entrance fee is ridiculously high for what you get. About half the price of Disney for much less than 1 % what Disney offers. Snacks are also major rip off. Ice cream cones, though tasty, are $7! Photos with parrots $25. Parking $10 on Top of entrance fee. A family of four would spend well over $300 for a visit with lunch.

rash aroskar

It is a different experience than a zoo. This is a great place for bird lovers. It is certainly overpriced. The bird and animal shows happening there are the real bang for the buck. The employees are knowledgeable. The flamingo cafe has decent food.

Shela Norrell

Well worth the money. The Lemur Experience was amazing! There were two flamingos walking the park that we could pet. It's not a large park but takes more than 3 hours to see all the shows and to take your time and enjoy the animals.

Peter Takach

Great atmosphere and most active animals I've ever seen at any zoo or animal sanctuary. Plus they allow you to meet animals you may never have another chance to encounter in person!

Jeff Sneed

I went over soring break with my family, too teenagers. The staff was friendly and informative. We did the sloth experience and both my kids were in awe. I would go again. Please do not miss this event, the private tour is a life experience!!! My daughter and I will never forget petting the penguins, feeding the alligator and much, much more!!!!!!! Amazing place and Ryan made us feel at home!!! The best

andrei dvornikov

I was here twice.for regular visit with animal shows-that was so great!and we were only adults.kengoo live interaction add up a lot to the experience!!but today we went to LUMINOSA..I thought it's only about night lanterns..I said fine to the price-animals need it.BUT ITS a pity moment that you come there and finding out there was an acrobatic show, but no announcement on website or else I found info about it months ago.no info also there was zipline..I would love to see acrobats..MY PERSONAL pain is parking price..15$ works as flat fee when its family visit.but when u go as two for 1-1.5h is much..could it be a choice? - pay per hour or pay a day price?..put some funny ad that we pay for parking high to afford monkey limo or giraffe double decker or elephant truck when they come to work...see u soon for fly experience..but let me find a machine to barbie size my car first..doh..

star

It was very pretty please go there to enjoy your life

Louis Alfieri

Great place for families. Attractions are first rate. Easy to find. Expensive for what it is

shane wood

This place is highly overrated. Way too expensive for what you get. The parking garage had no signs telling you where the entrance was. You have to figure it out on your own. The signage around the whole place was inadequate. The beach access was closed. The animal show was just them bringing out a pig, a kangaroo, and some other small animal. I thought there'd be tricks or something. The park has mostly birds. It's a very small park. I just didn't see the value for the high ticket price.

Juan Moreno

Everything was closed. Not like it used to be. Only cool things were the Escape Room, Capuchin monkeys, and the birds. Pretty friendly staff.

Darlene Lewis

This is in Miami.. Jungle Islands is before you arrive at Miami Beach.. Customers are able to visit and payment in the form of Cash or Credit Cards.. It's a Family affair with activity for All age's.. While visiting the family members get to See, Touch,Anmials and Different Kinds of Birds.. During the Main show the employees interaction with the Visitors..

Elizabeth Guzman

Very nice place to visit not huge so it's good for walking. Many birds lose. Great for pictures!

john galvez

Went to a birthday party and it was Great!! A lot to see and workers were very helpful and knowledgeable with questions about animals. The Orangutan was one of my favorite exhibits. Larger than life .

J3N FB

Good place to take the kids. They take great care of the animals. Nice little store inside to buy things to remember your visit. You have to pay for parking. Bring water and comfortable clothing...it can get hot there! Please be mindful and don't throw plastic bottles to the animals...or on the floor. They have plenty of garbage cans around.

Shannon O'Neil

Lemur experience is the best! Don't order hot dogs and french fries from the flamingo cage because you will wait 40 minutes. The poor girl was working the register all by herself and had to run get the food from the trailer which was 30 feet away.

Envita M

These poor animals don't have enough space to roam. They can make enough space for the kids to play (blow up castles, bouncy houses, etc) but not enough space for the monkeys, kangaroos, and other animals. These animals look miserable. Shouldn't even have cages but since they do, they should at least make it bigger than the kids play area. Really disappointing and definitely not a "jungle"

Modesto Garcia

Its a nice place. Excellent for family events as well as for office events. Great service..

joe hollingsworth

There updating the place and its turning out pretty nice

Damon Wagoner

I hate giving negative reviews, but I really feel like this is a bad deal for the money and honestly wish I could get a refund. I get that it's Miami and things are naturally more expensive, but this was not even close to being worth the price of admission, and that's even after a significant military discount (which I do appreciate them offering). We saw the entire park including 2 shows in about 2.5 hours. The bird show was decent, the other show was maybe 10 min and showed a pig, a "honey bear," 2 penguins, and a python. Kids were disappointed because the attractions required closed toed shoes, but we could have done more research to know that ahead of time, so I don't completely hold this against the park. My wife grew up in Miami and said this park was a huge disappointment compared to its predecessor Parrot Jungle (apparently you used to be able to feed the birds at the cost of a quarter for seed). This was an expensive mistake so I hope I can help those trying to decide. For perspective - a family of 4 would spend about $180 + tax which only includes basic admission (no lemur or sloth adventures). At the Miami Zoo (we've also been there and it's a far better experience), it would cost about $84 + tax. 2 stars because the birds and bird show were neat, but bottom line, this attraction is a bad deal for the $$ at even half their current prices (plus $10 for parking). Parents - save yourself the money and find something else.

aliza fundo

Great day trip with zipline and wall climbing, animal shows and lots of beautiful parrots and animals to see really up close.

Nicarra M.

As always a perfect night!!! Luminosa was incredible. Worth the 40 dollars. Would love to go again.

Ralph Bernal

Beautiful park! Unfortunately it's under construction right now so not all of the amenities are available to see. But they are making some great improvements to the park. Will definitely be a place to visit again after the overhaul.

Carrie Thompson

It was closed due to construction for a Lantern festival. However they did bring out some animals and birds to enjoy. We were a party of 4 and we were able to catch up on old times while relaxing in the reception area. It had tables, chairs and a food vendor. The little one was able to blow off a bit of steam. It was enjoyable to us.

Anime is Trash fight me

The park is closed. No mention about that on their website. Construction and prepping going on for their Chinese Lantern festival in October. You’ll be informed about that upon arrival at the ticket boots and after being on the hook for $10.00 for parking. Oh, you can meet and greet the animals at the square for a cool $30.00 plus. Corporate greed and misinformation to the public at its worst

Sergey Green

The rain started once we get there. We only attended couple shows. Kids were impressed. Definitely come back next time to check the play ground :)

Malgorzata Kucharuk

Absolutely gorgeous place with beautiful birds and other animals... At certain hours they do shows for kids. The only drawback is the price of tickets... (about $35), but it’s worth it to spend a couple of bucks more and get an anual pass...

Maddy Mccomb

Was headed back home to Clearwater and had heard amazing things about Jungle Island and decided to stop in. The park is extremely clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Was able to get in for the kangaroo encounter and actually touch them!! Bucket list item checked off. The Liger was gorgeous and was able to catch a good photo of him. I would definitely recommend for people of all ages!!

Izz J

Loved coming here. Great atmosphere very family friendly and welcoming. Looks like they are remodeling and there is a nice restaurant in the middle. Animals are well kept and plentiful. Shows are entertaining and fun. The entrance is somewhat pricey but it was a good afternoon.

Matthew Reiber

Cool park, we enjoyed our time here, I do think things should be better labeled and setup, we where surprised sometimes when we found something because it wasn't labeled or on the map. Also while we where there the beach, which looks really cool, was closed!

Joe Garcia

Don’t order the margarita pizza, it’s garbage and is basically a less than “ cheese pizza”. I kindly asked for a refund or to replace it with a pepperoni pizza. I, in return was bombarded with an attitude that the margarita pizza was just fine and if I wanted a pepperoni pizza I would have to throw the margarita pizza away and order a new one. What? Lol I asked the representative if I could kindly speak to a manager, she then replied “ manager is in a meeting and won’t be done for another hour”. Great I’ll wait I responded as her face turned white from my response she stomped away and called her manager then came back and said “my manager finally answer he’s on his way”. (Time lapse under 30 seconds) Manager approaches less than 5 minutes later and was aggressively convincing me that the pizza was a margarita pizza and I kindly told him that wasn’t here to argue but to enjoy my time at his facility and that it’s not about the $12 pizza that’s less than 6” width and should be more about the customers satisfaction and I wasn’t satisfied with the pizza. He aggressively yank the pizza from the table and the words “you’re outta here” came out of his mouth threatening my family’s visit to the facility. Not sure if this is an issue that keeps happening there and it’s frustrating them but if I was in charge I would change the sign it’s false advertising. We immediately left the facility and were not satisfied with the animals up keep. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Lorry Simmons

Very good to take children's very fun and great interaction with animals.

Janet Rosa

The place is clean and the birds looked very well taken care of but there is not much to see you're really can't spend more than 2 hours in the park. There is nowhere to really eat in the park. Over all it is extremely overpriced for what they have there will never come back would not recommend to friends. Zoo Miami is much nicer much bigger and you get a lot more for your money.

ElectricEel

I love jungle island! I’ve been going here since I was a kid. They have shows, great animals and the place actually looks like a real jungle not just a regular zoo. They have animals shows where the animals do tricks. You can tell they really care about the animals. If your in Miami I highly recommend going!

javier pepin

Love it we came from providence Rhode island to Miami vacation

meme marie

We loved this place. Not cheap, especially if you do some of the premium activities. But we didn’t fly to Florida not to spend any money, so we chose to play with the Lemurs, about $30 each for about 10 minutes but totally worth it. They know how to work a group, I am talking about the Lemurs. They jumped on our laps and heads. So soft and friendly. The rest of the park we enjoyed lots of animals to see, we saw a great bird show and got to interact with birds. The kids loved the zip line, which had little wait and was included with admission. Lots of lizards running around everywhere, which adds to the ambience. Washrooms were actually clean. Parking was easy. Not crowded at all. Great time.

Jesus Rondon

Nice place to go! I’m 26 and I loved it! It isn’t a place only for kids

Vardell Vereen

A great place to take your kids if they really enjoy birds. My son loved every second! He's a Rio Kid! The only downside is the price of food and the heat.

maritzabel luzardo

So much to see. my little one loved it

Gonzalo Garcia

Very cool! A bit over priced but with the Groupon you can get it 50% off, beware you also pay for the parking about $10. The shows are worth going to and free with admission.

Ashley Vargas

Very beautiful place but the price is ridiculous. The shows were fantastic and informative, they really did showcase some gorgeous animals. It's worth to see once but not interesting enough to grant me to come back.

Ezequiel Aguilar

Family attraction. A place to find life all around as you walk in. Beautiful animals to see and even pet. There are a lot of activities that can be done such as being up close to lemurs or sloths.

Dina Malx

The place is small for the price not much to see, there was a lot of playing areas for kids but let's remember this is a park with animal entertainment if I wanted my child to jump on some air bounce house I would have gone somewhere else. The animals specially the monkeys look sad. Some of the birds don't even want to interact they look angry and sad. The staff is not very friendly either. Total experience was bad I will not recommend this place for families without small kids.

Carrie Rangel

A bit overpriced and service for drinks was poor by the champagne area computers were down which dint know when I ordered was planning to use CC only taking cash and I was a dollar short and they threw away the drinks instead of giving it away for one dollar less that I was short!!!!

mario b

Great learning experience. Small zoo like park, not overwhelming like a major city zoo. Staff friendly and helpful.

Sintya Bokaa

Nice place to bring kids to see exotic animals

Rajeev Saxena

Not good. Not bad. Too pricey for the offerings. Stay out of the Gift shop.

LittleMe Indira

I would honestly rate this a 0 . The place is nice but the animals are in horrible condition. The animals have no water . No food . Literally all the monkeys look sad and especially the alligators are extremely skinny . It’s so sad . I am a crazy animal lover and some needs to let these animal out the cages . The cages are extremely small . The only animals treated correctly are the lemurs and that’s because they need them for interaction which they make money from . THE GOATS ? EXTREMELY DEHYDRATED ! trust me save your money

Pirvu Doru

Not worth $50 per person IMO. Park is small and everything is crammed. Not that many things to see / do.

Cleiton Becker

Really a very lacking zoo. Few varieties of things besides Internet ads with attractions that are closed. A tremendous disappointment. Miami Zoo is best. And also the amount charged very expensive for what is offered. It's not worth going to the Miami zoo or strolling on the beach that earns you more. Em 26/04/2019 In response to what you have commented on my discontent. So you need to review the whole park concept because not even an adventure park are you. People who are thinking of visiting the site search the site and do not go for photos that are on Google because many of the attractions are closed it seems that the park is failing.

Taghreed Sarsour

This place is way way way overpriced, and on top of that you gotta pay parking there’s barely anything to do or see and construction everywhere, it is not well maintained at all Miami Zoo is so much better and cleaner with way more to see and do and even half the price and you can even feed the giraffe for a couple of bucks, and parking is free. Please don’t waste your money on this place. Those writing good reviews probably work there cause trust me all it is, is a few parrots and monkeys for a ridiculous price.

Gentian Duro

For adults, its a good experience if you have a few hours to burn. Great for kids though.

Jane Kozz

Good parking. Good installations Luminosa

MM MM

Went as a family this past Sunday and have to say I was a bit disappointed. Definitely not worth the price. Not much to offer anymore and even though outside, there were a lot of rats by the lemur and monkey exhibits coming out of the tree's to get the food. Thankfully my son enjoyed the bounce house water slides but that was all. Not too sure I would want to return.

Bruno Doyle

Seems very expensive just to get through the door, and a lot of activities are extra once you're inside. For our family of four, it cost us $210, and we spent two hours in the park. Staff seemed eager to please, and animals appeared well cared for (though that's difficult to assess). The Miami zoo and the Frost science museum offer far more to see at a far lower price.

Micheal Rogers

If you want a hands on experience where you are 100% the most important person in the park, the Go Wilder Tour is expensive, but well worth it. Brian, our guide was the best. We were able to interact with lemurs, pet the condor, feed an alligator by hand, feed a baby monkey that couldn’t have weighed 3 pounds, hang with the sloths, the list goes on! It was my gift to my wife for her 40th Birthday, and it was truly a day we’ll never forget.

Maureen Hutchins

Had a great time! The animals were well kept, clean, and had enrichment and healthy foods. The lemur and sloth interactions were well worth the cost and the highlight of our vacation! Staff was great!

ELIZABETH GUERRERO, BROKER-ASSOCIATE

We had a night function and the view from the ballroom was amazing. The food and dessert was to die for. I had a wonderful evening.

G F

Chinese lanterns festival is a colorful and bright experience, great for the whole family!

Brock Whittaker

Unfortunately it's under construction right now so not all of the amenities are available to see. But they are making some great improvements to the park. Will definitely be a place to visit again after the overhaul.

John Wilkins

Tickets are kind of pricey, but it is worth the cost of admission. The parrots and wildlife there is beautiful. I love all things natural. We don't have anything like this in Ontario.

Chris Albanese

This place is good not great. It’s VERY expensive for what it is - a small zoo. They have free shows if you’re there when they’re running, which aren’t bad. There are parrots hanging out all over the grounds, outside of cages. And the staff is very friendly. But some of the animals looked fairly unhappy. The orangutans looked very sad in what seemed like a small enclosure. And the gibbons looked the same. Also, there are other VIP experiences you can do, like with the lemurs or tortoises, but of course that costs more on top of an already expensive admission ticket. In short, I really wish they would use some of the open/dead space they have to expand some of the enclosures for these animals, or maybe add to their animals to better justify the cost.

K. W.

Extremely difficult to park ... Small place and offers few attractions ... Expensive for what it offers! And without good eating options... Most of water toys are not for toddlers, they are only for older children and there is no warning on the website or at the time of ticket purchase ... I had pity for the trapped animals, but the birds seemed well treated during the shows... And could see gorillas been trained, very smart, was fun...

Brand Alles Vazquez

Luminosa was perfect and beautiful

Kenny Castillo

This is one of the most amazing places to go to with many animals to see and learn more about. My girlfriend and I took the up close vip tour and it was absolutely amazing we got to see many animals and interact with them such as lemurs, sloths, tortoises, beautiful flamingos and so much more. We got to learn a lot of info on these animals and had an amazing experience the staff was helpful and very pleasant to be around. Also our tour guide, Ryan, was very exciting and knew everything about the animals. It was very apparent he loved the animals he works with and that they loved him too. It was a great experience one I would definitely do again but I would go with the go wilder tour next time although it is expensive it will make for one of the most amazing and unforgettable experiences ever.

Liudmila Bukhryakova

Superflight is amazing attraction! Great instructors!

Ciaara Riverah

Awesome place to meet beautiful birds and enjoy ocean view. Fun activities for kids and right across us the Miami Childrens museum and 5 min from South beach!

Manpreet Singh

A great place for kids. Nice variety of birds and animals. A vast number of macaws can be seen as you walk across the island.

Danish Jaffer

Great value. You get so many things included with the price including a lot of hands on time with animals. Definitely recommend coming early and taking advantage of the free guided tour as well.

Carlaine Wesley

We had a great time. Only disappointed the beach area was not open. Food was really good!!!

Lemongamer47

Don't be there before 10 am. The shows and food are great. Staff are great. Lastly, Battleground was soooo much fun

Andrew Hitselberger

Not what it used to be. Half of the park is under matinence. Half of the cages are empty. Used to be full of uncaged animals and photo opportunities, now the only photo is at the beginning in front of a green screen. Feels like the direction is towards a pop up theme park instead of a cool place to interact with exotic animals. If you've been here a while ago and enjoyed it, don't come back.

The SharkMan

Amazing but I would reccomend a hat and water.

Mohamed Ally

Well worth the price of admission. The experience with the sloths was educational and hands-on meeting with the sloths was unforgettable. The sloths names were Flash and Rico. The trainer was very personal and made the whole experience worth the price. I would easily pay to go back again. The whole zoo was a nice atmosphere, the wild animals are free and majority of the animals weren't caged (which was a nice change than a traditional zoo). The experience with the lemurs looks really fun and would love to experience that too. I would love to go back. Thanks to the whole crew at Jungle Island for a great time!

Leslie Benoit

He entertainment was great and i loved their personalities

Manuel Zambrano

Very good to take children's very fun and great interaction with animals.

Jean Claude Echevarria

Definitely $52 is too much and parking $10 more. Water and food overpriced (bring your own food). Do not go during summer, too hot. Overall place is nice, but I think is a bit overpriced for what they have to offer.

nona allen

Loved it. It was the best part of the trip with the kids

Тая Сергиевич

Beautiful place. But a lot of trails are closed (( but still nice place to go. Jungle. I like it so much. I bought ticket at Groupon. 43 dollars.

rogert deleon

It is definitely not worth half the ticket price. Disappointing visit. Very limited in everything. Food options don't exist. Persons working the one food truck had no idea what was inside the sandwiches with fancy names. We took a gamble and turned out ok. Tasteful, fresh and large portions. Very expensive. Dinner that night in a good restaurant was cheaper. Not much to do or see. They want to be a zoo but are not. They have a few birds (beautiful) 2 shows. Nothing remarcable on them. You can do the whole place in less than 2 hours including lunch. You are much better going to the zoo.

Luis Fernandez MMA

A super zoo with water park. Nerf combat. Zipline and more. Our camp loved it

Tara Hardy

I came here for an event my job hosted and it is a beautiful venue. The staff is friendly and the space is clean and elegant.

Elider Desir

It was an amazing site and I recommended it for others aswell

James Tharpe

I took my family here to check out some unique animals. We weren't let down, the park had a wide variety awesome animals that all ages will be able to recognize. The park was very clean probably one of the cleanest you'll ever visit, staff was very friendly. The entire trip to jungle island will take around 3 to 4 hours with a 2 year old toddler. Overall was a good mid day trip, if you are military ask about the discount make sure you have your ID card though.

jaz a.

Went here with my hopes high as there new website made me think they had made it better than it was... As you can see my rating it did nothing for me.. The park still has places closed.. They have gotten rid of a show mind you they only used to show 3 so now theres only 2. They added some inflatables even tho they are nice they sat them on top of rocks which hurt your feet when you walk on them.(dumbest idea ever). The rock climbing area is beautiful, prob the best thing i could give them.. They got rid of the lions they had so the only animals you see are parrots, monkeys, fish, flamingos and if i'm not mistaken a kangaroo that looks dead.. Once i see the picture they have been posting comes to life ill give them a try again... Sorry not sorry save your money..

sucilia bryant

Hi, I havent been to Jungle Island in quite a while. Now I drive school busses. When I got here with two orher busses. There was no indication on where the busses should drop off. It took us a while. Finally someone came out to show us because its not clearly marked. I guess the kids had an okay time. I didn't because there's a lot of renovations going on. I know in order to keep things nice renovations are needed gor whatever reasons. Maybe if I come back in a year or so everything will be beautiful again. I'm just glad the rain dried up so the kids could enjoy themselves after traveling so far away. Weston, Fl.

Fernando Bahamonde

Nice place. Military got in Free, that was very nice. It was a nice place to visit every once in a great while.

Angela Hovi

My four year old son and I were disappointed. The playgrounds are shut down, and the water splash pools aren't running in the winter, neither of which is reflected online (from what I found). The staff were great and the ones we encountered seemed to genuinely love and care for the animals which was nice. High prices for very few exhibits. Call ahead before heading out there to find out if anything else is missing.

Doris Leonardo

Was good place to hang out for couple hrs.

A Google User

There is noooooooo way anyone should be paying over $50 per person for admission. Absolutely not. I got the groupon for $26 and I still feel it was over priced because as soon as you get there, they start nickel and diming you. The parking is $10. A meal for TWO cost us around $45. Anything going on in the park is extra so the only thing included are the two bird shows and walking around the park. The animals were is very small confined spaces as they are in most zoos, however I will say that the animals actually looked fed and well taken care of so that is a plus. The signage is terrible so we thought we were going one place and end up in another.. the two places where they hold shows are not marked. There were plenty of bathrooms and the staff was friendly which is rare in Miami. I’m glad I experienced it, but for a family of three I honestly would have spent the same at a theme park with gas included; so not a place to return to.

Amelia Diaz-Bencomo

Excellent for children, enough to do with them. It was too humid today.

Tina Megan

Good water park. Animals are not a big variety. Atlanta

Eunice Bernard

Good place to take the kids to check out the animals and other activities for them.

Joan Nasha

My family enjoyed Jungle Island. There are a lot of things to see and do. Public transportation is also easy. My kids love the rides and the food. This is a recommended place.

dilara

ive been there many many times in the past. great place- used to be atleast. i went today and im very disappointed with what i saw. the animals looked depressed and dead. cages are too small for most animals and the zoo is now turning into a kids amusement park. there used to be many animals to interact with, like a petting zoo with kangaroos and so on. sad to say ill never be back here again, never will i support this place in the future. xoxo

Pyro

The place is good but it is very expensive. $10 for a hotdog and fries and $4 for a bottle of soda? I recommend that people bring their own food, a fan, and a lot of water or any drink.

Cristian Scanzoni

NOT WORTH THE PRICE! 50 USD per adult, 37 per kid, and you would think the condition of the animals would be better. Also, the play zone was half closed and ALL of the things were for kids over 50lbs. Little kids over 3 still get charged full price, but they cant go on any of the jumping things, or ropes area. Half the park was under construction.

Alejandro Aguiar

This is a great place for families to enjoy with their kids. The employees are not only friendly but actually quite knowledgeable when it comes to their jobs. If you wish your kids to learn about the environment, animals and their planet, bring them over for a great time with people that know, care to teach and you will leave the park not only knowing a lot more, but inspired by their love and example to make a difference. Do not forget that they also have the best prices when it comes to Catering and party planning. They have the most beautiful events at their affordable ballrooms which are not known to the general public. Their prices are beyond surprising for such levels of customer satisfaction. I was impressed by them as much as their venues.

Danijel Teofilovic

We saved turtle on the middle of the road on our way there. We had drawing class here few weeks in a row. This is really nice place for family visits or learning life drawing. It is not crowded and they offer student membership which was really affordable.

Jillian Jordan

There are so cute parrots you can take pictures with but it doesn't worth the admission. Palm Beach Zoo has much more animals and twice cheaper.

Susan Arnett

This experience was beyond amazing. If you go, do yourself a favor and ask for the lemur encounter and the sloth encounter. Magical.

Caleb Florez

Many things to do and shows were crazy! Birds are very smart creatures contrary to belief. I learned many awesome things about the animals they exhibit.

Shelly Ramsamuhj

I went to Jungle Island on a field trip my daughter's field trip. all the animals were sleeping because it was so hot the only show that it was enjoyable what's the one with the birds

Adalis Reyes

The time spent there was fun but unfortunately they have not recuperated fully since hurricane Irma as far as their exhibits. They had a large variety of birds, kangaroos, a large tortoise, monkeys, orangatans and very cute goats!!!! For the price it there was not enough there.

Alexandra Tukelturk

Extremely overpriced. Misleading pictures. they do not have 1/3 of the animals they advertise. Staff attitude the worse ever! everyone is soo lazy, rude, have absolutely NO knowledge about ANYTHING related to the park. the food sucks and the cages are dirty and outdated. they should close this place ASAP

Damian Maz

Great place to have contact with animals. Show's were amazing... first time I've seen something like that. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Sofia Mereo

I have not been here put the things I heard about is amazing I am going but how much does it charge you

Ashley M

They try but this is seriously the worst 50 Dollars you can spend. Please take your money and spend it at zoo Miami. Half the price there and way bigger with way more animals and much nicer. Jungle island is small with barely any animals and nothing to see. Not worth the money. And you have to pay 10 bucks to park. You can literally walk through the place in 15 minutes. Not the best 50 dollars spent. It’s wayyy overpriced.

Trey Holladay

Beautiful facility, unbelievably expensive but a worthwhile cause from what I can tell. The animals are really fun and much better viewing than most zoos, kids loved it for the most part. Exotic birds are just kind of hanging out everywhere. Real bananas growing on trees just off the path. Really unique. However, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. I called beforehand to ask a couple of questions. It was difficult to reach someone, nobody answered the main number for a half hour after opening, I had to contact an alternate at the website bottom. The staff member that answered was rude and condescending and sounded like I was annoying her by discussing my lack of a printer on vacation and the purchase screen only had a print tickets option. Then she sounded totally offended that I dare consider that the lemurs might be dirty and was asking what to wear for the experience. Well, in fact I was right to question because the lemur peed on me. Which brings me to the next staff member, the lemur caretaker. When I asked for a paper towel to clean it off, I was literally told, "you signed a waiver". Seriously? I paid over $500 and brought 6 people and you and your photographer don't have the common human decency to walk 5 feet to the dispenser and get me a paper towel to wipe off animal excrement? Oh, did I mention the lemur splashed it from the floor on my face when it jumped? I get it, it's an animal so it's to be expected but the staff having the same level of care as the lemur is not. I am able to brush stuff like this off so it didn't ruin the whole experience but I wouldn't go back.

Eddie Smart

It's perfect for family time. The Jungle looks so natural.

Michele

The New LUMOSITY Show was SPECTACULAR! Beautiful lights, love there new Beach and activities, and lots of attractions.

Iones Jimenez

Beautifull Crucero from Miami, Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Key West

Tyler Solorzano

Visited one of the ballrooms upstairs for the Miami Nice Gala. Good venue. Food was okay.

Alexa Reed

So much fun for the family! Not too crowded and very clean. Saw a lot of animals and also a bird show. We did the lemur experience and it was so cool. Ate lunch at the flamingo food truck and the chicken tenders and fries and hot dog was good. We solved an escape room and it was fun. The VIP tour is amazing and our guide was so nice and explained everything- definitely worth the price!! Nice way to spend a day in Miami!

Karl Clark

It is one of the best places for family outings as well as to take kids along. Last week, I went here with my family and the kids in the family had a lot of fun. . I went here with my family and the children in our family were very happy with this place. They enjoyed themselves and got to learn so much. The kids were so happy that they keep on asking about our next visit. This is a wonderful place.

Mike Gosh

First time we visited it was amazing and worth every penny of the ridiculous amount of money they charge to enter, there was all kinds of animals you could interact with and they even had a liger. That was a while ago but we visited last weekend and the place had literally turned into a bird sanctuary with a couple of bounce houses where the big cats used to be.

Damon Uhl

Loved it, enjoyable and enlightening. Kids love it, parents will too learning things about different animals.

Harrison C. Davies

This is a great event venue because its literally between two of the most popular Miami Districts, one being Downtown, the other South Beach. Every event I have gone here to has been a huge success and had lots of positive vibes from the guest and staff as a whole. So great energy here! Also love the easy parking and the Valet people are super nice.

daniel carbonell

It took 2year and they dont finish yet.. Now its sad and boring.. NO MUSIC... Really???? Whay its a place without music...We hope someday this beautiful place be what it used to be...

DylanBeff Yeet

So far im with my camp and its amazing there is birds, flamingos, monkeys, baboons,a lot more i havent seen

Lukas Aldama

Animals were okay, food was over priced, entertainment was sub par. Probably wouldn't go back.

Rebecca Hamrick

We were given tickets as a gift but I can't imagine anyone paying full price admission for this place. All the animals looked miserable in this heat. The orangutans look so sad in their tiny cages. The underwater alligator viewing was dry with no water and the poor gators were crammed into the only shade they could find. The parrots that were not in the shade looked like they were going to die. If you are going to go anywhere in Miami, go to the Frost museum. Its right down the street from Jungle Prison Island.

Jennifer Vasallo

Jungle Island is a beautiful place to experience once or twice in a lifetime by yourself or with your family. While a bit pricey for my taste as a local attraction, it is an ideal tourist location and it is priced as such. To put it in perspective, for a family of three I ended up spending $140 dollars on the entrance alone. That being said, once inside you can expect to encounter anything from entertaining exotic animal shows, to kangaroo petting experiences, a beach (open during the summer months) and various food options. In addition to that, the animals all seem to be in excellent health, the park is clean and litter free, the bathrooms offer changing tables, and it’s an overall good experience.

Jack

This is a great place for a family of all ages, we felt like we are in a real jungle! And about the price, they offered us a special for Passover holiday that came out around $22 and change so we really had it all!

Egbert Attson

Very good exhibits, had up/close with the lemurs/sloths(paid extra), today was kind of Hot, just visiting from Denver.

Shaindy Jay

very nice place! the kids loved it! some parrots just fly around and arent caged letting you walk up pretty close to get some gorgeous shots from them! they also have a small petting zoo area with a couple of goats that the kids can go into the pen and brush! staff is friendly and very kind. overall was a very nice family experience

Timothy Palmer

Loved the experience! Me and a friend went because we are staying in Miami and were reccomend this place by a few people. The environment is great and there are a few free shows included with admission. Would definitely come again!

William Anderson

$50 and half of it was under construction. It takes about an hour and a half to see everything if you are walking slow. It may be better once they have a lazy river and the other promised features, but I'd suggest waiting until then to visit..

Rob Cole

Very nice but a lot of construction still going on. Nice animal shows and animal petting. The kids really like it.

Khim David

My girls and I went here on a rainy day. The pavements aren’t that great for that weather since the puddles were never ending. There was an abundance of birds and the bird show was great. Petting the kangaroos was the highlight of the trip tho

Norma Litsky

Great park for kids very clean lots to see great beach

Jack Ibarra

We visited Jungle Island and did the lemur encounter. It was so much fun and such a cool experience. There was some things under construction and we had seen things on their social media that we didn’t find when we visited. Overall it was a fun experience and the food in the park is also great.

Josephine Basher

We had family that came in from abroad and made a short detour to Miami. It was their first time here and we wanted to show them the uniqueness of Miami's nature and wildlife. Jungle Island shows off the local greens and animals like no other. Fun and family friendly, easy to navigate, accessible and clean. Hands on experiences and amazing photo opportunities. A bit pricey but well worth it. We leisurely explored the grounds in 3 hours and enjoyed every minute.

carlo chan

Fun experience. Definitely do the lemur encounter.

Patience Loring

It was awesome to see the animals up close and personal

Maria Contreras

Had a lemur experience, it was awesome!

Dawn Smith

For like $42, you can be in a room for ten minutes with lemurs. They climb all over you and jump from you to the trainer and back again. It was by far the best experience I've ever had. I've seen a couple other places like this but they charge a lot more.

Joy Coyle

This place was very nice but had a lot of ...... amazing animals there was just too much too look at that we ran out of time but will be coming back and loved it.the staff was very nice and helped out.the trainer was good and looked like he had a full relationship with the animals and was good at answering questions and helping the animals become traines

Eunice Perez

LOVE to visit all my feathered and hairy friends throughout the year. Love the annual pass. They are making a lot of cool improvements.

sophia dorcent

My 3 year old loved it!...Would highly recommend...Family fun! They had various free activities for all children of different age groups.
