You will be able to see all the reviews of people who are using the products of Cohanzick Zoo (Zoo) in Delaware area.
Nowadays the business receives a rating of 4.4 over 5 and that rating was based on 889 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is really good, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the rating is quite reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

Nice little zoo you can visit for just a donation. It may be one of the smaller zoos but it definitely worth the trip. All of the animals there are well taken care of and it shows. They do daily feeding and educational shows and most of the animals in the exhibits were active during a nice day. Pack a lunch and bring the kids its worth the trip
Been to this zoo handful of times and it’s still always as great as the time before. Free but have donation boxes, recently just opened a concession stand with certain hours of operation and cheap prices! Never EVER crowded and just a great little getaway when you want to get out of the house. There’s a splash pad attached to the same parking lot (small fee) must wear water shoes. They also have trails to walk. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
The zoo is very nice and it's free. It's a bit of a hike from Camden County though. If you don't want to deal with madness of the Philly zoo or drive all the way to cape may this is a great choice.
Perfect place to take your kids for free . Pack a lunch or have a birthday party . This place really could use monetary donations .
Small city zoo. Good for an hour stroll. Limited selection of animals. Free. If you don't expect more you will have a good time.
Not all the animals were open to see but it was cool
Cape may zoo is nicer. Nicer environment More to do. Nicer staff.
First time there since my kids were little. Lot of the animals are gone. My grand daughter loved it!
Not alot of animals but good to walk around
I just love animals
It was free to get in the Zoo. It wasn't a big Zoo but it was a fun experience and is great to bring younger kids too. They also have a water sprinkler park which I believe is only $2 to get in for the day and that as well is for the younger children. There is also a kayak and canoe part where you can rent by the hour for only $10 that the older children and adults can enjoy.
Love this zoo, we go every year starting at Easter!!
This is a small zoo, which is great for slow walkers. Most of the time the animals are out giving us a show. They have a picnic area and walking path.
Great place for to bring babes and little people. Ive been going to this place 36 years and it's always pleasant.
It is so nice!! A great place to take little ones!! And they now have a mini water play area!
Great place to take children and just have family time. Really peaceful and quiet
Very nice, well maintained zoo. Good place to take kids.
Cute little zoo. Could use a little update though. The one little building is always closed so I have no idea what's inside. But overall, I had a pretty good experience there.
Pretty great for a small FREE local zoo.
Great little zoo. Good variety of animals, nice setting, great place to take the little ones
Great little free zoo to take the kids to. We try to make it over a couple times a year. They don't charge admission, but they do have a donation box to help offset some of the operating costs. They have done quite a few upgrades since our last visit. They really have the zoo looking nice. Not a huge place, but big enough to spend an hour or so walking around.
Been to this zoo handful of times and it’s still always as great as the time before. I've been going to this zoo since I was an infant. Bridgeton has really done an exceptional job with keeping it up to date and having a wide range of interesting animals. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The Bridgeton zoo is smaller than Philadelphia and Cape May, but has a charm of its own. Definitely worth a visit.
In a wooded area, feels natural, nice enclosures, not busy, good place to take yound kids
A great, free place to visit with your family. The zoo is small and takes about an hour to walk through. However it is clean, well kept and has some great exhibits.
Perfect for toddlers who are curious. The animals are well cared for and the place is amazing
Cute little zoo, up close and personal with most of the animals. It also has a nice splash park for the kids along with a mini golf course. Plenty of picknick tables for a relaxing afternoon out. There is a walking trail along a stream we didn't the chance to explore.
The zoo was really nice we made a nice donation. They would not let my nephew sit on a bench right inside the gate because he had flip flops on. My nephew has a cast and we knew he couldn’t go on the splash pad, we had other children with us.
Nice enjoyable day. All the animals were out... even though the ducks n cranes spent their time fighting lol. Should've packed lunch and stayed longer
Nice little zoo with friendly staff.
This is a good place to spend all day. Pack your lunch and have a picnic in their picnic area. There are lots of photo opportunities for the kids. There is a splash park that is open in the summer. My only complaint is that there is no regular playground around the zoo.
Great little Zoo for the kids, clean and it is free as well. Can't beat it!
No crowds, enough scenery for the kids to explore.
Awesome, love this zoo, always love seeing the animals.
I haven't went to the Bridgeton Cohanzick Zoo in a few years. But i have to say myself and 2 teenagers went and we really enjoyed ourselves. Especially watching the cheetahs playing.
Beautiful zoo. Shaded, clean, and free! Bring the little ones for a great way to kill 2 hours
Not many animals there, and sadly not the zoo it used to be. The animals we saw looked sad and sickly. The poor bear seemed hot and was sitting in a small tub of water trying to cool off. If the city can no longer afford to run the zoo properly they should close it down and find a better home for the animals. I’m sure the zoo staff does the best they can with what they have to work with. But it’s sad and depressing to see the animals look so unhappy.
Great zoo. My son and I enjoyed seeing all the different animals. Staff is very nice also. I'm not sure what the correct title of his is, but he was keeping the grounds clean. He was very nice and knowledgeable about the animals.
I always enjoy taking the kids there. The animals look great and are well taken care of.
It was so nice lots of animals my grand baby loved it the place was packed
The Zoo is a lot fun as long as you go in with the right expectations. It's a small zoo that's run by a small city with free entry. That being said, they have a nice variety of animals and it is perfect if you have little ones. Our 3 year olds love it! They also have a newly refurbished snack bar if you get hungry. Once you're done, there are some nice, family oriented trails to walk. And in the summer there is a splash park adjacent to the zoo!! I would recommend checking the zoo out if you're nearby. It doesn't warrant a special visit, though.
Bengal tigers are amazing!
They really fixed the place up nice
This is a small town zoo but I've been going there since I was a kid. They have great events for families to enjoy together, such as Boo at th Zoo, and the Festival of Lights. Stop in and check all the great animals, they are always changing things up and looking to make improvements, support your local zoo!!
This place surpassed my expectations
Free zoo is awesome and so is the parks surrounding it
Great little zoo. Free admission (please donate in the box at the entrance). I was pleasantly surprised at what they had there. Big enough to spend an hour or two walking through, not so big that kids (and worn down adults) get tired of walking.
We take our son all the time, great little zoo.
It was very nice. Empty at first but its charm was lovely
Great free zoo! Animals were so active when we went. It was nice a quiet with few visitors.
Small but very pretty beautiful different varieties of animals....was being worked on when I went but still open
Not a big variety of animals. It's very hard to see the animals because most of them are hiding within all of the assorted junk strewn about the animals enclosure.
For a small zoo its worth visiting. However it could use some more animals. This is a FREE zoo and could definitely use some donations to make it little better. But worth the trip to visit. Make sure you see the bengal tiger. He is a big old baby as you can see in pictures.
Very small zoo but it's well kept. The animals there are beautiful. It's a great place to take your kids and it's free. The zoo trail is also a nice little walk too.
Free to enter and a cute little spot. There's quite a few small cages but the place has a fair amount of cute animals like big cats, foxes, and monkeys. I absolutely love it and visit there quite frequently.
Small, but nicely kept. Animals we easily viewable and lively. Cages set up more like their natural habitat. Definitely give a donation if visiting.
Friendly staff and well maintained
What a lovely little gem of a County Park pay-what-you-want, walkthrough see the animal. It's not big so it is perfect for young children and young at heart adults. The free kids water park next door is a big bonus.
Nice arrangement and selection of animals- some even walk around freely!
IT'S AN AWESOME PLACE TO VISIT
This is cute little zoo. Makes for a nice little free day trip. It is not nearly the same experience as the Cape May Zoo, but there was a nice variety of animals and plenty of shade on a hot summer day. The splash pad did not open until we were ready to leave, but we were told we would not be allowed in anyway wearing flip flops, so if you go remember to wear water shoes or sandals with straps. Also don’t forget to bring your own food and drinks!
Always a great time and love that its free!
Very good place to visit
Its free which is great but not a lot of animals. still great for the kids
This is an awesome place to bring your kids, out even go on a date. The best part, besides the awesome animals, is that it's free. There is a place to leave donations and I certainly did. Also, if you pack a lunch there are multiple places around the park to eat. Definitely was worth the drive.
I normally adore this zoo not so much today. Went to the boo at the zoo, I’ve went before and it was great. This year hardly any candy and worst of all someone used an actual crow as a prop and had the poor thing tied to a display and it was desperately trying to chew it's self free.. I left after that.
My son loves going to the zoo every day. The zoo offers birthday parties also. He cant wait until his birthday
Forgot this zoo even existed ! But luv it. There
awesome place! Birds like ducks or peafowls just walk around
It is an awesome and quiet place. No Admission Fee. Clean environment and nice staff. Worth taking your family and friends there.
Fantastic little zoo run fully on donations. Be sure to slide some money in the box before leaving. The baby tigers from last year are the size of donkeys now and they continue to grow. Amazing. My favorite smell in the whole zoo would have to be the fishing Cat, he really marks his territory.
Great family experience!
It's small and not too overwhelming for the little ones.
This is just a sweet small zoo for a nice day with small children. Clean and nice.
Gotta love the Cohanzick Zoo. Been going since I was a kid. Looks like they've been putting in some new walkways and such. PLEASE LEAVE A DONATION EVERY TIME YOU VISIT! The zoo is "free" thanks to peoples donations!
Always love going hear ever since I was little. It's small but still nice to go see and get some walking in. Love walking the paths near the zoo watching for turtles a d birds. Great place to go.
That place has evolved over the years. Its really an awesome place to visit in the area where you don't have to spend a ton of money. The zoo is small but kids love it. Interesting animals to see and take pics.
This place was great. Not crowded at all. The kids had a blast seeing all the animals. It was very clean too.
Best little Free zoo! All the animals are beautiful. I love the black leopard, tiger, bear and monkey their enclosures are beautiful and well maintained. Awesome trails !
I often visited here as a child in the late 70's and early 80's so I have a lot of fond memories. It is a small zoo but offers a chance to see animals a little closer up then some of the bigger zoos. We visited in the colder weather so some of the animals weren't in their habitats which is understandable. Still got a good look at the big cats and the other animals that could tolerate the colder air temps. My wife and 2 teenagers had a nice visit, and will be back in the warmer weather to see more.
Nice little zoo, has nice splash park for the kids to cool off also.
Have been going for over 50 years, still enjoy the wall thru but some of the attractions need more loving care
Doesn't like they take care of their animals and needs more interesting exotic animals
Free entry but we always make a donation it’s the right thing to do
Great little hidden gem in Bridgeton. Not a ton of animals, but an interesting variety, not just goats and sheep if you know what I mean. Tigers, monkees, bears, etc. and some different birds. Nice environments, animals look healthy and not scruffy. You can get nice and close and there are easy walking paths. Spend an hour or two here if you are looking for something to do on a free day. And speaking of free, the zoo is free! Can't beat the price. Go do it!
Nice little free zoo
Wow. Wow. This was a small but growing zoo. There was so many different kinds of animals and EVEN 2 TIGERS!! Very clean and all the workers were very nice and they made the trip well worth going back again and again. In the same parking lot was splash pad! That was awesome for my 2 year old son! ** just make sure your kids have water shoes that have a back or strap on them. ( my son just wore his sneakers lol ) AND THE ZOO WAS FREE!! splash pad was $3 a person.
Not much of a zoo. Very small and doesn't seem well maintained. Nice splash pad area.
Quaint little zoo that is very well kept. Sometimes take my little one for a quick trip before running errands....keeps her happy while shopping!
Went there for a birthday party for kids. Excellent place for parties and great learning experience for all.
Awesome little zoo. You can make a half day out of it with a picnic
A hidden gem. Very nice.
Always love going hear ever since I was little. It's small but still nice to go see and get some walking in. Love walking the paths near the zoo watching for turtles a d birds. Great place to go.
Amazing zoo lot's of animals Free zoo
Nice quiet zoo, not very big but perfect to take my 5 year old grandson
That place has evolved over the years. Its really an awesome place to visit in the area where you don't have to spend a ton of money. The zoo is small but kids love it. Interesting animals to see and take pics.
Great little zoo and they have a lot more animal then you would think. Great great great park!
Love the little zoo..nice childhood memories
Its a nice zoo for being free and a short ride away.
Clean, free, nice habitats.
Very Nice..had a Great time !!
After reading some negative reviews I was hesitant to visit but I’m glad I didn’t let those keep me away. The zoo was quite quaint and beautiful. The animals looked well cared for, and the one staff member I interacted with was as sweet as could be. It was not crowded at all (Sunday around 1pm). I definitely would go back again. I would ignore these negative reviews, it truly was nothing like I expected given some of the descriptions!
For a small Zoo it is a really nice place. It is a awesome walk while seeing the animals.
we went to check it out it's a small Zoo. Since I was raised in Philly I've been to other zoos. If you want to go it's free you can have a fun day with kids check it out
Big disappointmentVery few animals. A lot of empty cages.
I love this is who that's a child and it's even better now I took my daughter there is she loved it
SO IMPRESSED! Animals were beautiful and seemed very healthy and well cared for. The tigers and cougars were incredible. Truly a hidden gem in south jersey - and free admission!
Love this zoo, and so do the kids
It's a nice, but small place. Some animals did look like they were sick or lonely. They didn't look happy in there. Worth the drive from Philly for the kids. Splash pad right across the parking lot was a plus!
Always loved this zoo. Not the biggest zoo, but a nice selection of animals, great and educational for the kids
Still have the Zoo set up and updated from when i was younger in the 90s. They have a Splash zone park for kidsz, mini golf, picnic tables, nature spacious.
I love this cute little zoo❣️ When I was a kid my grandparents lived on Giles Street. I would walk there and spend most of my days hanging out watching the animals. I wish they had all of the fun activities they have now back then...lol
Great zoo! Runs on donations so people dont be cheap! It's not cheap to keep it up and running so help out! Your community will thank you! The splash park that's next to it is great too, $3 per person and must have shoes with backs aka no flip flop type shoes.
Free place to walk the kids and look at animals
What a great place. Talk about up close and personal with tigers, lemurs, a gibbon, mountain lions... Etc etc etc.. please donate on your way in, the zoo is free but needs your help..
Relaxing stroll through the park..
Very nicely kept public zoo. Smaller, than big city zoo's, but still a lot of fun for the little ones. Some big cats, bears, and many other animals.
Pretty much what you would expect for a free zoo. I loved that the wild(?) peacocks came right up to us as we parked.
This place is awesome. Really amazing animals in this tiny FREE zoo! You can put donations in a giraffe print box...
The animals look well cared for. Very small zoo with alot of empty exhibits. Nice for a short walk with the kids or grandparents. Grounds are well kept as well.
This place was great. Not crowded at all. The kids had a blast seeing all the animals. It was very clean too.
Clean, kid friendly place with a spot to have a picnic.
Best little Free zoo! All the animals are beautiful. I love the black leopard, tiger, bear and monkey their enclosures are beautiful and well maintained. Awesome trails !
Such a wonderful place to visit with the kids for free! We love going to this zoo! And the employees are so wonderful too!
A very small zoo, and very quaint. But, has magnificent animals. The surrounding park is very nice as well. Perfect for what it is.
My girls love going to this zoo! It's on the smaller side with the amount of animals that they have but , they have the basic animals at any zoo -- Lions, Tigers, Bear, peacocks, monkeys and my girls favorite animal they have is the leopard. The people who work here are the nicest. You can really they love their job and working with the animals on a daily basis. They know all the animals by name and call them over .. it's free and they accept donations. Driving 45 minutes here saves me 300$ a month on the zoo !!
Nice small zoo good for small children with sensory issues.
Haven't been in yrs alot of new construction Very clean well taken care of I had a great time with my sister on our day trip to bridgeton
It was fine except that I was disappointed cause there was no Tigers out....
This place has gotten so much better with the animals and the route to walk... it is spruced up and looking very nature like... peaceful and wonderful trip for little ones... to me a great date spot
A nice little zoo with interesting animals. Free admission. Donations welcome at entrance. Plenty of parking.
Small zoo in Bridgeton. Nice place to spend an afternoon. Splash park on the other side of the parking lot.
Love the Cohanzick Zoo! Animal enclosures and walkways always clean and well kept; nice to walk along the trail; water park in the summer great fun and super affordable!
Free zoo with a great walk for me in the three children please donate to help keep the zoo open and growing
This place is a part of my childhood, so I'm a little biased. However! When it comes to small, free zoos, it has never lost its charm. I took my wife there when we were visiting family and the selection of interesting and adorable animals to look at and get close to was extremely enjoyable. We had the chance to hear a presentation about the two young tigers they have, and the zoo keeper was friendly and interactive. Peacocks wander around the zoo freely, which is always fun to watch.
I wasn't prepared for how tiny this zoo is. Even with a wandering toddler we weren't even there an hour. Still, it's a magical little oasis with some unexpected animals. There's a picnic area and a splash park around the parking lot too. Plus a lot of Mexican restaurants nearby.
This is a nice zoo for being free in a small-town. Donations are much needs & welcomed, there is a donation box at the front gate. We live close by & it only takes about 20-30 minutes to walk the whole zoo so we usually go thru 2-3 times to make it more of a day trip. We love seeing the peacocks, ducks and geese roaming freely & swimming in the pond. Holly the Bear is so cute when she’s not napping! The animals tend to be most active from about 11am-2pm.
Good experience. Nice for kids and adults
Nice free zoo
Its free. Good place to take the kids
I was born in bridgeton in 1961. Family moved to tenn in 74. Some of my first memories are of time spent at that zoo. We lived in elmer, and had cousins in hopewell. Our mom's (sisters) would arrange to meet at the park or at sunset lake. Sometimes elmer lake. Cenerton and Palatine had an entrance fee so we rarely got to go to them. We always had a freat time at the park/zoo. Us boys especially loved the old WWII plane in the park. I am sure it is not there now, but back then it was like a jungle gym. Kids crawling over, under, up through the bomb doors, out on the wings. It was great, but probably much too dangerous for todays society. Anyway i was just glad to see that the zoo and park were still there and operateing free of charge. That's pretty cool.
Cute little local zoo and amazing that it's free(although you can give donations). Animals were well taken care of and happy.
Great place I'll say I go Too think n enjoy the animals
Great little zoo. Give a small donation and enjoy an hour or two. Very clean and nice to walk through with lots of shade
Can't believe this place is free! We had such a great time seeing the animals. Make sure to leave a donation by the gate if you can.
We go here all the time. My little ones love seeing the animals. They do a great job, considering the do not charge admission.
Nice peaceful stroll and the animals are well cared for.
Nice Day trip...just the right length for someone like me(back problems). My granddaughter & I had a great time. We will be going back!
I grew up here, and I remember as a kid being able to hear the lion that used to live here, roar, from my house near the high school. That, and the peacocks screaming. To be honest, it's kind of a scrappy little place, but I love the charm of it. It's such a small town zoo. And I have only good memories of it, growing up here. I'd definitely take my kid there. It's fun. And so should you.
Small but nice place for kids under 6 year also free
Loved this zoo. It’s small, but the animals are well taken care of, it’s clean, in a good area! Great fun place for the kids. Make sure to donate, the zoo is free, but taking care of animals is no joke and staff needs to be paid! Highly recommend!
This is a very nice, kid friendly, amazing place. The animals are kind and gentle. A little bit dirty, but not too bad. The kids there aren't too bad either. The people don't really bother you and the workers are nice. I do recommend
They need more animals that are not squirrels and ducks. Also, they need to control the bee population.
Small, but cute.its fairly well kept and it's free.
Even though the signs indicate that the splash park opens at 11:00 AM, apparently that is not true. It opens if or when the staff chooses to open it. When I called to inquire about the posted time opening, I was basically told "sorry for your lucky. Do not plan a visit to the splash park without calling in advance or you may be left standing in the heat with your disappointed children.
Nice little zoo with free admission. Donations are accepted to help keep the zoo in operation right at the entrance in a little lock box. for being a smaller place they have a few cool animals like bears and tigers. all the animals seem happy and healthy. Great place to bring the family.
This is a small but nice zoo.
Nice clean well kept up
A hidden treasure. Great trip for any age. I absolutely adore the gibbon. There are tigers too. This zoo is free. You can picnic across the road at sunset lake, and meander the walking trails.
Nice zoo..good for ages 2-12
Great place to kill an hour. One word of caution, saw some children playing on the elephant statue, it looks ( to me ) like the tusk could be potentially dangerous.
Loved this zoo since 1971
