Baby everything all for the petting
Totally enjoyable and affordable for family outings. The animals are adorable.
Alot bigger then it looks, very kid friendly, lots of activities! It's great for a day event! And super cheap!
Nice place.well worth it.
Loved all the animals.
Always a great time!
Bring your kids here and spend the day! The Animal Farm Petting Zoo is a non-profit organization run by the same family for over 30 years. The animals are from their Zoo Rescue Program that takes in abused, abandoned and unwanted animals and gives them shelter and care. The admission $ goes directly to support the animals. The exhibits were built by hand to provide each animal with a safe environment. So, if you love animals, come and see them and show your support for this worthy cause. There is a cute baby emu that was hatched from an egg by a pair of emus. And a male and female zebu and their sweet baby zebu born on the premises. [See the photos]. There are also bunnies, goats, deer, llamas, large tortoises, peacocks, a bobcat, a monkey, a huge camel and more. It is easy to find, just off the LIE Exit 69 south. Don't forget to stop at one of the local farm stands before returning home. I also highly recommend this for Summer Camp groups.
Super relaxing and fun
Great farm low cost ..super cute
Great for the whole family especially todlers
(Translated by Google) Very nice ... The workers are friendly ... And the super friendly animals! You can adopt rabbits ... and the Pony Ride is free! (Original) Muy bonito... Los trabajadores son amables... Y los animales super amigables! Puedes adoptar conejos...y el Pony ride es gratis!
Clean, and price is reasonable. Little guy had a blast!
Great place to take the kids. Staff is very nice. Allot of things you can do and be hands on. Also the take in rescues.
A bit pricey, but it is a nice, small, quiet place. They offer free point rides, which, if you would buy separately, makes the price more worthwhile.
My kids love this place! Lots of animals to feed and pet. The staff is friendly. It make for a great family day trip.
This place has so much to do for my 2 year old. There are lots of play structures, bottle feeding baby animals, free pony rides, a train ride, coin operated rides, tons of animals to look at, picnic tables... She loves it!
Tranquil environment, clean grounds and friendly staff, even the guests were friendly.
The animals is very cute and friendly. We brought our 15month old baby girl there and she had alot of fun with the baby goats. And she ride a pony that day too. Very nice and clean place. Dont smell like a farm at all.
Great place !! Kids loved it !!
A nice local animal farm with a wide variety of animals. Make sure to buy animal food. Make the experience way better!!
Wonderful place with beautiful grounds. A great place to take the kids for an afternoon trip.
Nice for the kids
Nice and well maintained zoo and playgrounds.
Grandson had a great time an so did I
Price was too much, food was too pricey, animals were not fed properly and their room was too messy and dirty.
Wonderful place! Kids had a blast.bstagf was very friendly.
Fun animal farm for small children-- clean, helpful staff, lots of animals to see.
Wow, they have a lot of amazing animals. It was a fun place to take the kids.
It was a nice petting zoo. The place is a lot bigger than it looks. A great place to take children to experience farm animals. The gift shop offers a bucket of animal feed for $5 and a small bottle of milk for $2.50 (which the baby pigs drank in 2 seconds). There are many cool animals there, including goats, sheep, mini horses, different varieties of chickens, a capuchin monkey, bobcats, peacocks, cows, ducks, rabbits, llamas, and many more. I would have given this place 5 stars but I was a little uneasy with the unpredictable chickens roaming around freely.
Such a nice way to spend a few hours! Bottle-fed piglets were a big hit, and the baby goats, bunnies, chics, and guinea pigs were the sweetest. The pens are clean and the animals look well-kept and healthy. A pony ride on Rusty was the perfect way to end a great afternoon!
Various animals at the zoo. Great for the little ones, but a bit pricey.
The best farm. Great for kids I loved it. Highly recommend
This place is great for kids and has so much stuff to do.
Not bad
My kids love it here
Took my 3 kids here today and they loved it.
Love this place...amd so do the kids... Clean, friendly, nice atmosphere, nice people, you gotta go here...
This place was amazing. The animals are all very friendly and there is plenty to do especially for the prices asked. Highly recommend.
Great place!
Nice for kids, pay to get in. Fair selection of animals . Kids can interact with small goats and bunny rabbits and chicks
Happy petting zoo with a lot of friendly animals. The bunny run is a fantastic place to relax, but we were there in the middle of the week. The animals are well cared for and the staff is friendly. Go here instead of the zoo or the circus.
Had a great time at the Animal Farm Petting Zoo.
Great Farm for the kids and family this was my first time visiting and I really loved it so did the kids. The staff was very friendly and the place was very nice nd kid friendly . Overall I loved everything in the farm loved feeding the goats and birds great experience I would highly recommend this Farm.
Not bad place, wish their animal selection was bigger, especially for the price.
If you want a farm life experience, then visit this place
This zoo is great for kids and adults! It’s got a very large selection of animals and they are beautifully kept. The petting part for goats is loads of fun for kids and the goats are friendly.
We brought our two year old, perfect for toddlers, they touch and feed the animals. WARNING: there is a row of coin rides so bring quarters! All kids need to go on these. I dont know why they are there but the kids have a buring need to ride them when they see them and I had no quarters. Admission is under $15 for adults and around $12 for kids. A milk bottle for the baby animals is $3, feed bucket is $8, you can keep the bucket and we fed tons of animals with it. FREE pony ride for babes under 48 inches or 60ish lbs. We will be going back again soon!
too expensive
A little pricy but a great way to interact woth the animals
My kids love going there to see and feed the animals. However, the admission fee is high.
We donated a bird and they took it in for us. So we stayed for the petting zoo and the kids loved it. Spent hours looking at all they had. And we got to see ours on display too. Lots of fun.
Finally got a season pass this year love this place great for my small kids not overwhelming they're not pushy about bringing your own things to eat I do wish there was a little more Hands-On things to do with some of the animals that are deep enclosures and if they spruced up their shows
Great fun for the whole family!
Despite the wind it was a great experience. My 2 year old enjoyed thoroughly n definitely it's a family entertained for 3/4 hrs. Staff were courteous. One star less to a 5 coz of entry $$.
Beautiful animals
Not the best, unsafe for children and animals don’t seem to be taken care of. The place looks abandoned and animals are in horrible cages. Fences are broken and the animals can easily crawl out and in my experience the animals got free and chased down a 2 year old! It’s nice because of the animals but very unsafe.
Overcrowded, not well maintained, super expensive.
I loved it!!!! Let’s support more our local zooosss !
I had a good day the whole family for a fair price, with the food and milk bottle. All around good day can't complain.
First of all, the place is not big big, nor is it too small small. The staff are very kind and I would most likely come back. I would 100% recommend this place to a friend, maybe invite a friend to come along with me.
Always fun time .
Great experience with the kids! The ice cream, play areas for the kids, free pony ride, and holding baby bunnies were all highlights of visiting the petting zoo today. The staff was excellent as well.
Friendly staff, great setting for family and great for seniors
Great experience, always enjoy the lovely clean environment and animals, only complaint is that the some of the cages might be too small for the animals, Other then that , very laid back atmosphere where you can spend the whole day with the family
Plenty of animals, clean for a petting zoo, staff was sparse but friendly - we're here on a school day. Animals seem well cared-for. Pricier than I expected, but I'm getting old. Even some unexpected animals. Here's a white peacock.
I am sorry to give this place a 2 star review, but am doing so because some of the things I saw go on there were a little questionable. I will start off with the positive - the animals, on the whole, seemed happy and sociable and their pens were clean. We did have a lot of fun getting to interact with so many adorable animals and they all seemed so friendly. I think for a place like this, the smaller 'farm' type animals (goats, sheep, pigs, horses, ducks) are probably acceptable but the lack of staff present throughout the premises, and the sale of animals makes this place seem slightly questionable. The reason for my poor review was because during the 2+ hours I spent there, I did not see one employee overseeing interactions with these animals. Interactions between tiny, hyper children and these animals is left at the discretion of the parents - which I do not think is in the best interest of the animals. There is no information handed out describing how to handle the animals in place of staff being absent. There were 4 year old children running and grabbing goats and trying to pick them up, and freaking out when the would butt them or run off and I did not see one parent intervene. What would happen if a kid seriously injured an animal or an animal injured a child, after it had tried to give signals of not wanting to be pet? There were signs all over admissions advertising new baby animals, one of which was a baby japanese macaque. While I am no expert on macaques it also did not seem like this petting zoo was the place for these animals. The cage held a baby, the mother and a male macaque. With groups of 20+ SCREAMING children and parents crowding around the cage consistently, the male grew agitated and started attacking the mom macaque (holding the baby) while she screamed and tried to escape him - there was no staff member anywhere to be seen to either ensure the situation didn't get out of control OR (more importantly) to ask the screaming/laughing group of 50+ parents and children (who ran over at the sounds of the macaque screaming) to back away from the cage - it REALLY seemed like the more people that crowded around the cage screaming at them, the more easily agitated or stressed they got. My other big issue was the sale of animals. There is station where baby bunnies, guinea pigs, ducks, and other baby animals. There were a few of what looked to be high school age staff members there who it seemed like their only job was to be a salesperson to get the baby animals sold. While I was there, there was no intervention between screaming toddlers reaching into the open playpens and grabbing tiny bunnies and guinea pigs, picking them up and walking/RUNNING around. Again, what if a kid dropped a bunny? What if it bit the child and out of reflex, they dropped these tiny animals? Constant interaction with baby animals causes stress and can make them more prone to illness, which is animal care 101 and really shocked me that this was going on. I overheard one of the teenage staff members say to a parent all of the animals in that section had already been sold and they're waiting to be picked up. Why would animals that have already been sold be out in the open for anyone to be playing with? It didn't make sense and to me, shows that money > welfare of their animals. It may also be a coincidence but the driveway before the entrance was advertising pigs for sale..though total speculation I sort of wouldn't be surprised if the baby pigs were sold off at a certain age. While I am sure a lot of the staff there does truly care about the animals and i am in NO WAY suggesting they are abused or in bad conditions, there seemed to be more of an emphasis on the profit that the welfare of the animals housed there.
Unbelievable place. Lots of animals. Lots of fun. Great and relaxing. Emplyees are extremely nice and polite. You will rest, your mind will rest and those animals will make you laugh and feel great. Great place to take your mind away from everyday hectic life. Will come back again!!!
Nice place to bring the kids. Train ride free pony rides.
The best petting zoo ever
A thrilling place with a wide variety for any animal lover. Definitely coming back.
bought our kids here, animals are well taken care of here!
Granddaughter loves this place....season tickets next year...
Awesome animals and fabulous people! A must see!
In this place, If I could, I’d rate this place this place is 6 stars out 5 stars. The animals are so friendly, I could have stayed longer.Though they were dirty, they were so eager to eat the food.
Great for families with small kids.
Fun place ,there is a lot more to see and do than what is posted on the website. Kids enjoy the animals.
I give 5 stars of course to the animals... I was so excited to take my granddaughter the price listed om the web is not the price you will pay when you get there it's 16.95 for an adult ticket.. The place seem a little unkempt . and the over priced food that made me sick However I would still recommend you take the kids for trip to see the animals.just bring your own food ..
This place is awful. It should be shut down. Report to SPCA
The place is nice and the animals are very friendly, but was kind sad to see them with no water no food. I understand as the people are coming you don’t want the animals to be overfed but today wasn’t a lot of people there, the animal was screaming and begging for food. The little snow Japanese macaque was trying to get the food out their cage. Also the cows drank the bootle of milk because they were so thirsty. There did not seem to be staff or anybody around to look out for those poor animals
Such a fantastic place to visit with a child or no child. I like it better than the game farm. Very cute very clean
The animals did not appear be well taken cared of. They were full of flies bugs, and feces. There were a few emaciated deers. For the price they charge you to go in I believe the animals should be better taken care of.
Great variety of animals.
Super friendly staff. Very clean place. Animals are well taken care of. Plenty of individual play grounds for the kids that are all new and safe. Lots to see free pony rides great value for your money. Definitely will go back again. Highly recommended.
great animals, fun place to take the family, interesting selection of attractions
I was there with my sons girlfriend on November 3, 2017. What a treat! We basically had the whole place to ourselves. Stayed with the baby goats for a long time. Holding and feeding them. Held baby rabbits and guinea pigs. Had a lot of laughs. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Animals were all very friendly. Came right up to the fences waiting to be fed and petted. Clean bathrooms. Very fun day.
Best Place to Bring your family for a day of fun!
LOVELY PLACE!!!!! Much better than the Long Island Game Farm. The animals were so very friendly. We got our two cutie goats from here a while ago, and they are doing very well, they seem to love it at our little farm at home!!!
Family fun
My 4 year old grandson loved it, prices are very reasonable, it's family owned and operated so they know how to price it.
We always have a great time here as a can't with my son
Clark the camel was the best!
(Translated by Google) Very dirty, smells bad
Took daughter there .she had fun
Great place to spend your time with your family, laid back with enough stuff to keep your kids occupied for hours,
Lots of animals to see. They appear to be well taken care of. Pricey BUT animals require a lot of food and care so makes sense.
It's a cute farm. The kids like to hold the bunny and ride the pony.
Such a cute little place! I love it here. I've been here a couple of times. It could use a bit more upkeep and updating on some things that are pretty run down (especially their website too) but I always love seeing and feeding the animals. It would also be nice to have more signs of who we can or cannot feed with the feed bucket you buy...a lot if the time I'm not sure and don't want to harm the animals by feeding them if they're not supposed to be fed...so I'm probably missing out on a lot of fun animal time because of that. Overall, I do recommend visiting at least once :)
Great place for families
Great little zoo, very interactive.
Amazing
(Translated by Google) I loved everything very beautiful and my children very happy (Original) Me encantó muy bonito todo y mis niños muy felices
Nice and clean. Great experience for the little ones and affordable.
Awesome spot. Great for adults and kids highly recommend the camel.
My daughter had a great time!
Been taking our 4 yo since he was 1. He loves it!
Good place
Good
Admision is $15 for adults, but your kids get a free pony ride. Plenty of animals and birds and playgrounds for kids. I did not buy food or drinks though, so cannot comment on quality and price.
It's great petting zoo with a lot different animals. It's never to crowded which makes for a low key day.
My god, i haven’t been to such a welcoming such clean and well kept petting zoo in so long, was really a pleasure
Good place to take kids
Petting zoo.....petting, feeding, free pony rides, and puppet show...playgrounds...awesome place !
We really liked this place, especially our 8 year old
Great !!
Animals are great and perfect setting for kids of all ages but a couple things to be forewarned about: 1- dont bother buying bottles for baby animals unless you are there within 1st hour of opening because animals get full and dont want them. 2- it gets very busy on school days off so go early!
Awesome place, staff is great and very nice!
Wonderful place to go with the entire family!!! It is a hidden gem, in the middle of nowhere. We had just stumbled upon it and we are glad that we did!! Animals were cute and you could feed them with the treats at the front desk. Multiple hand washing stations are an added plus. Definitely a must go, especially if you have kids. PS don’t waste your milk on the pigs!!!! They will drink it all like it is their job, hahaha
Just fun so much fun with the animals alone n kids
Great very happy helpful farmer
Animal jail for caged animals
Worth the price, free pony rides, animal interaction with people and children, clean bathrooms and food available
This place is amazing lots of animals. It's a great place to go with family. Would reccomend to anyone that loves animals.
Fun place to spend an hour or two..chose to visit this petting zoo over others on the island because they are a rescue. Overall staff was friendly and the place seemed very relaxed. They have goats, pigs, ducks, a camel, monekys, and parrots (along with others).
Ok experience! I think it's a bit pricey but the kids do get a free pony ride. The animals seem to be well kept and happy. It's a go at your own pace environment and I like that.
If you are an animal lover, go here! The fee is i think 15 per person for adult less for kids. Bring your children here and enjoy petting the animals. i had such a blast. the best part was feeding the donkeys haha. It's quite big so it's worth your money. Must go'!!'
Great place to bring the kids. Our 15-month old grandson loved it! Lots of animals, including many unexpected ones like a camel and bobcat. Nicely kept. Several playgrounds, each for different age groups. Bottle feed the animals. Train ride. Snack bar. Pony ride included with admission. Senior discount. Highly recommended especially for young children. Adults will enjoy it too.
I visited over a year ago and plan to visit again. I love this place! There are a lot of animals that the kids can pet and or feed.
Wonderful experience! 3 yr old and 5 yr old ...LOVED it
Have a baby monkey
We came all the way out from long beach to visit with our two year old and we had a good time. The animals were good and came running for food which made it fun. There is a tractor train ride and a free pony ride. They have a few playgrounds for all the different ages which is a nice break. The snack stand is weak but is to be expected. If you live in the area they have a nice seasonal pass which we would purchase if we lived a little closer, all around nice place worth the money definitely something good to do with the little ones.
My grands was very excited to be in the pens with the animals, to pet them. My 4 year old grandson said that most fun thing was his pony ride. My 17 month old grandson petted the baby bunny, baby duck and baby guinea pig. They truly enjoyed their visit. We will make this a must visit when we come to Long Island.
A fun experience for the whole family
very nice place..quiet to walk paths see and feed all diffrent types animals
Happy to been there. My 5 year old son loved it. 3$ for small milk, 5$ for food basket if you want to give food to animals. Entry fee is not too much and includes short pony ride and puppet show.
A great family place..a day to relax. Pack a lunch. Relax and enjoy the animals the puppet show. The train ride. Pony ride. Slides.
We visit this petting zoo at least once a year! Amazing friendly staff, clean environment and of course lots of great animals. Highly recommend for a fun day with the family!! A+++
Great place to visit
Nice local place to visit with kids
Very cute! Loved all the baby animals and loved the baby petting zoo!! So cute. I did feel that some exhibits were a little small for the animals and most of them didn't have Water out on a dat that's 100° out. But overall was a great experience with bottle feeding and pony ride was great!! Would recommend this place to the people i know that have kids.
Small zoo but you are up close with the animals. My daughter liked the nursery where she was able to hold a bunny rabbit. The playgrounds were also fun for her. The only downside is the overall price as we paid $52 for 2 adults, 1 toddler and a milk and pellet feed.
On my visit 2 weeks ago i had a few noticeable wonders and concerns. i did not see any staff besides the pony ride person within the park. Noone walking around feeding or making sure everyone had the necessary food and water. It also concerned me that there's absolutely no signs on who can and cant eat the grain and milk bottles. As a customer i had to physically put but a duck who jumped out and was wondering around looking for a way to get back in. It also concerned me that they have open unsupervised touch pens with baby ducks chicks and Guinea pigs to be seen. As all of these are concerns for a person who not only loves animals but As someone who works 6 days a week as a animal caretaker for a similar farm my main concern were the baby goats. In the "baby barn" there were 2 small (maybe week or 2 old) goats who looks so out of it and winced in pain when you touched them. They were(im guessing) just dehorned (which is weird to do at such a young age) and were healing. Not bashing the place its cute and everything just a few minor concerns from someone who deals with this on a every day basis.
Well maintained area. Only complaint is that their animal feed is really small pebbles and was difficult to feed the animals for my daughter. But that's a personal problem not one with the attraction.
Best place for kids
Great family fun
Really impressed with how cared for the animals appear and the level of interaction allowed. My 4 yr old loves this place and I can completely understand why with all the play areas, pony rides, feedings, and more. Got a season pass.
a hidden gem, far nicer than the LI game farm. very clean, very friendly.staff..lots.of animals, an old fashioned.puppet show that had my 3 yr old and us..giggling outloud, very affordable. They also have.childrens train and pony rides..love this place..
Had a good time with the family. They have many animals. All seem to be in good health. The kids enjoyed it as well which is the important part. I thought the $15 for an adult is a little high. Maybe $12 would be better. A lot of yellow jackets around. Im sure no fault of theirs but heads up if you are allergic.
Had a wonderful experience. Went when I was a lot younger and got to take my girls. It was great my kids loved it. Thank you.
Was an excellent experience. We fed the baby goats. Animals seem pretty well cared for. Decently clean.
Well my favourite part was watching the rebellion between Old Major n Jones. Very epic
Lot of animals to see and of course pet. In addition they have several playgrounds for different ages and a little ride on train. My kids had a birthday party here and I will definitely be taking them back for a family afternoon out
Despite going on a rather cold & wet day, we had a good time visiting and feeding the animals. Definitely worth a return trip.
This place is cute, but expensive. We went through 6 bottles of milk and 2 buckets of feed between the goats, pigs and cows, so beware. There are lots of hand washing stations and a snack stand. The trolley was a nice little break, but its not guided or narrated in any way. Its a nice way to spend 2 or so hours with kids.
I love this animal farm because you can actually pet, hold and feed the animals. They have monkeys, llamas, farm animals and exotic animals. There is also a super nice sunflower field close by that’s nice to stop by in the fall.
So much fun for the kiddos
Cutest baby animals for little one to pet, CLEAN!!!, couple of really fun playgrounds (one with soft sand), really great place for whole family to enjoy
Nice place
This place is great is nice and clean, animals are well cared for.
