Here we offer you all the reviews of real people like you who used the products of Promised Land Safari Park (Zoo) near to the state of Arkansas.
Nowadays the business gets a score of 4.2 out of 5 and that rating was based on 142 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is quite positive, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo belongs to the category of Zoo.
We didn’t have a terrible time. It was fun, but not exactly what we were expecting. We’ve been to the Gentry Wild Wilderness Safari many times and had a blast so we thought we’d give this one a shot for something new. Welllllllll, we’ll definitely be sticking to our tried and true safari park in Gentry after visiting the one in Eagle Rock today. Maybe my opinion would be different if I had never visited another safari park that had so much more to offer. Also, it didn’t help that one of the staff members was very unfriendly and raised her voice at us and rushed us out of there. Like I said though, we didn’t have an awful time, but there’s absolutely no reason for us to return.
The animals are very active. I loved the petting zoo. All of the animals are well taken care of and have big habitats.
Used a Groupon, showed barcode from phone without printing and had zero issues. So with the money! Went in the morning on a Saturday and we were the only family at the petting zoo. Was a fun time with the grandparents while vacationing in Eureka Springs.
It wasn't worth 40 dollars first of all nor the drive out of Eureka Springs. The people running it were not friendly I asked the lady a question inside and she answered me in a rude manner like I am to know what the heck is sitting in a cage under a blanket. They ask you to wash your hands before touching the animals but have no sink outside. And literally it's false advertisement when you claim to have over 100 animals and all you see are Byson, deer, emu, and oh 15 or more different kind of elk. I was seriously dissappointed and I won't recommend it to anyone I know, save your money and go to the cat refuge instead totally worth it
Amazing
Nice place to take the kids
Loads of fun and cool animals.
I took my children to the Promised Land Zoo in Eagle Rock in March 2018. Almost immediately after arrival, my son (age 11) asked a male employee what the large snakes eat. He informed my son that they eat the rabbits and guinea pigs that are also on display in the building! My son was very upset with this news. We almost left at that point, but decided to stay to hopefully see some other animals to cheer him up. We enjoyed the drive through portion. My advice to the Promised Land Zoo: 1. Feed the snakes something else OR 2. Don't tell the children.
Fun place.. enjoyed feeding the goats
Great place
Our son had fun, but definitely a one time thing.
Worth the drive
Great experience-fun and interesting!!!
Friendly and well cared for, the animals here are fun to visit! Stop by soon to see the baby lemur.
Awesome! Had a Emu try to get into our car! Fallow deer will put their heads in your vehicle. Just a great experience!
The best Zoo I have ever been. Love the fact they have the Word of God all over their location. Great friendly staff , very clean, animals are well taking care off. Love that I was able to touch the animals , I felt I was in my own Zoo.
Love this place!
Staff was very friendly.
Friendly staff. Call ahead for discounts. Good petting zoo area, be sure to go during a feeding, kids can bottle feed youngins there was a camel, calf and goats when we went.
The drive through park was fun lots of animals to see and many came right up to the car. The petting zoo was to really a petting zoo. You could look at the animals from a fence that was a foot or more from the animals fence so you not pet or feed the animals. There was a cage of birds you could feed. It was ok but not worth what I paid being able to pet animals at the petting zoo would have made it worth it.
Their website and facebook says open seven days a week, 12-4. Drove up on a thursday to find them closed at 12:30.
We absolutely loved this place, our kids were laughing and so excited to see all the animals up close, well worth the drive and money and we will be visiting again in the future.
Friendly staff an amazing animals. The Emus are hilarious, at time I thought they were gonna get into the car with us.
The petting zoo was disappointing as there are very few animals you actually get to touch. The kangaroos did come up to us which was awesome. The drive through part was hilarious and the kids loved it. So many animals come up to your window looking for a snack and it's hard to not feed them! The Emu stalked us the whole time which gave my kids lots of laughs.
Promised Land Zoo at Eagle Rock is a very clean, not overly crowded place to interact with animals. You can tell the animals are well cared for. We especially loved the new areas to watch lynx and serval cats and the parakeet feeding area. I do wish they had animals besides herd and farm animals, like rhinos, giraffes, or lions and tigers. For that reason I feel their admission is a bit too high, especially considering how much they charge for a cup of food. Overall, excellent place to visit. Just a little too pricey for us so we only visit every once in a great while!
Love it
For the amount of animals the price was considerably to much. $10 a person would be a fair price.
This was a most amazing place. Many animals to see and interact with in the petting zoo and the parakeet paradise. The drive park itself was just as amazing. I am a newer local and plan on going back a lot!!!
Although they claim 30 different species, it was pretty boring for both the adults and children. We have been to many zoos across the country, but this one did not have the variety or much information about what we were looking at. The petting zoo was also a disappointment. We will not be going back.
Most visit! I personally enjoyed, and think is worth the money! The safari through the 100 acres was fun, and a learning experience. Love the biblical signs!
Not worth 40 bucks. False advertising. It said feed the kangargos. There were no kangaroos or signs saying they were working on an exhibit for them. There wasn't a gator or a sign that said he was in for the season. There was literally deer, camels, wolves, pigs...everything you would see a a normal petting zoo really plus a few cats. But nothing that was on the brochure. I'm sure that brochure is mostly the one in branson. No bottle feeding of babies. No lions like is showed. No wall through zoo..nothing. don't waste your money. It's too pricey for what you get
Great place to take ur family.
Awesome place to take the kids. The staff are very helpful and nice.
A really nice small zoo. There is a large variety of animals. The live animal show is worth sticking around for, I learned a few new things. Really ideal for younger children (age 2-5), but school age kids would also enjoy it. Plenty of shade, so a good activity for a sunny day, allow about 1-2 hours to see and experience everything.
Feeding the deer was amazing. Gre as t family fun and loads of laughs
It was not how they explane it to be. And little on the high side
I love the animals
Kids loved it
Excellent for kids!
This “zoo” made me very sad. A lot of the small animals were in very small enclosures void of any sort of enrichment. The coatamundis’ were in cages, no grass or anything to climb; the caracals’ were pacing and again, no toys/enrichment. There was an alligator in a concrete pool the length of his body, and there was nothing else in the enclosure. The guinea pigs inside had no water! They were banging their empty water bottles on the sides of their cages when we came in - they were also terrified when you came near their pen, I’m sure they are mishandled by people/children all day long, so it’s understandable. The drive through portion was okay, but a little underwhelming. My husband and I left a little depressed after seeing so many sad animals.
I liked this place there are several different species of animals here. I read post that read different and there wrong. If you aren't in a hurry and drive through slow it truly is amazing to see how wild life reacts. The lady we spoke to was nice wasn't rude. I didn't feed animals but my fiancé and her mom did and they liked it. The price isn't to outrageous honestly when you compare it to tickets to see a show for $12 and there $16 to see animals and $4 for a decent size cup to feed them. I will definitely be back.
Fun place
More farm animals than zoo animals. I felt sorry for the 3 calfs...their bones were showing and it looked like they was starving to death.
Great time
We love it here! Animals seem happy.
More fun than a zoo. Kids loved feeding the kangaroos
This place was amazing! Loved the animals. Laughed so hard at the emus following us around.
Awesome
So much fun to see so the animals
Roads are in terrible condition and need fixed badly. 50% of the animals were deer
Great place friendly staff bigger than you thank
Tourist trap. Don’t waste your money here!!! This place is dirty with sickly animals do not support.
We absolutely love this place!!
Awesome staff! My 8 year old had a blast!
We had a great time there. The animals all look very well taken care of. Definitely worth going to!!
Beautiful place you get to have contact with a lots of animals
Had a fun experience bottle feeding a camel! Then the drive through the park was nice and serene. Many of the deer would come up to the car and eat out of our hands. Worth the money, would highly recommend.
I loved it here. Price was a little steep I thought but overall it was definitely a great experience. My wife and I were driving through Eagle Rock and passed one of their signs. We thought it would be a great spur of the moment date so we pulled in. There were quite a few animals to see and feed. And we were able to get some wonderful pictures through it too. If you take your time you can spend easily an hour and a half or so here.
Loved it here, animals came right to the truck and all animals very friendly as well as staff.
I enjoyed it, my cousin cried every time he saw a bird, but I didn't
They had baby Ringtaled Lemurs so it could have just been that and I would have loved it, but they also had kangaroos and some pushy goats (lol) and we spent about an hr just doing the drive through part. Best part was they had a groupon! So that was nice!
I went on the ultimate excursion and it is well worth it! The animals are all so cute and you can tell they love the zookeepers and everyone working with them. The 1 on 1 meet and greets were fantastic, the sloths are great and the lemurs are hilarious. I especially loved the drive through feeding experience. I am more than happy to give my money to a place that not only is family owned, but treats their animals right and actually rescues most of the ones that are there. I recommend this place to anyone who is thinking about visiting!
Defintley not worth the money. I was very disappointed. The small "petting zoo" was terrible as all the animals were in cages and you couldnt even get to them. Its not a petting zoo. I seen one staff the whole time. The animals in the drive through were even incased so they couldnt come up to the car and I might add that really its just an overload of Deer, like 95% of the zoo is deer. Which wouldn't be a problem if they made that clear. I just feel like there brochures and advertisements are false
Nice place. Decent price. Decent variety of animals on the safari as well as the letting area. Friendly staff. It is very obvious that the free roaming animals on the safari part are feed by the visitors passing through, even though there are several signs saying not to feed them. So be prepared for the animals to come directly to your car windows searching for food.
Feeding the birds was so cute! The petting zoo was pretty typical: rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, mini horses, and the less typical kangaroos. The drive around portion was iffy. You have to go around a whole grassy field of nothing before you even see an animal. There is an amusing herd animal, whose name I can't recall, that is VERY vocal!
Great day trip. So much to see.
Great atmosphere
Great place to visit. Loved seeing all the animals. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Great drive thru park
Great place to visit for the kids lots of animals to see and very friendly people my kids had a great time feeding the animals .
Several animals had no water , or food tooooo hot to not have water..
Great little zoo, friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the interaction with the animals. We didn't get to see the safari but kept them busy for 2 hours
Hmmm, lot of mixed things to say. Took my daughter here for a little vacation a few months after my husband died unexpectedly. As I was concluding my trip I went back to the door and stood there calling my daughter who was playing in the Kangaroo. The owners son bolted past me from behind out the door and knocked a $2500 lens out of my hand that landed face down on the concrete. The dad yelled at him to apologize. He did and then the dad went outside after him while I stood there trying to pry the cap off my lens that broke and got jammed in it. The kids mother I assume said "I didn't see anything" and I dont know where she ended up, but not 1 person came to ask me if my lens was ok or showed any concern. I took it over to the counter and proceeded to check on it a few more minutes and pry the cap off. Still no one said anything. I am not mad a the child. I know kids do stuff and accidents happen. But a parents responsibility as a business owner, which I am myself, is to take care of the customers not run off, especially when its obvious by size alone it's an expensive lens. I guess they're more concerned with having to pay for it than whether it's broken or anything else, b/c no one bothered to ask. The animals indoors have a bit to be desired. The cockatoo's beak Is way overgrown, but maybe it's a rescue and came like that. the rabbits dont have a way to see out or anything and one of the cockroaches had escaped, which didnt bother me other than maybe the enclosure isn't well sealed. When we went outside there was a black rabbit (obviously domesticated species) sitting with the turtle so it somehow got out as well. I tried to catch it to bring it back to the owner but it escaped. I'm sure it'll meet a poor fate outdoors. Maybe there is better care needed to protect the indoor animals from escaping outdoors. The parakeet center is very nice and that was a fun experience. The outdoor drive is nice. The animals have great space and have adequate room. They came up to the car and were all really really nice. My daughter had fun. I'll have to test the lens when I get back to make sure it works.
We've visited in the past, and we love it. We went on a weekday, and it was much less crowded. Although the facility is not new, the pastures are spacious, and the animals appear to be calm and well-fed, with healthy coats. It would be a good idea to bring binoculars, as the animals may be at the far end of a paddock. Also, the llamas and emus are very sneaky and will try to reach past you to eat directly out of the food cups! The petting zoo is delightful. Not all of the animals may be petted, such as the lemurs, porcupines, and prairie dogs, but being in close proximity to them is still wonderful. The lemurs had three babies, who were so tiny and lovely! There are commonplace creatures, such as goats, geese, burros, and guinea pigs, but there are also capybaras and kangaroos! I learned that the capybaras don't enjoy head scratches, preferring instead to receive soft pats on their very long, soft upper lips. The roos liked head scratches and neck pats. Finally, I went into the parakeet room. The little birds will congregate at one end of the room and wait until one brave one begins eating the peanut butter from your stick. Then they will begin gently scuffling for a turn at it. They'll nibble every speck of it away! We'll definitely go back.
We get to the zoo and find first of all, they have no food for visitors to feed the animals. We then go through the walking part to find that the conditions were awful. I get that it is incredibly hot but the grass was overgrown and the water bowls were brown and disgusting. We then went through the drive through part and there were animals that we felt looked sick and weak. We were here a few years ago and loved it. I’m worried about the conditions.
Loved it, animals were very well taken care of, emu were very friendly and so were the deer. Hope to visit again soon
Love, love love it!!!
Loved it!!! Clean, well taken care of, animals looked well taken care of. Employees were very friendly! Grandkids had a good time !! Thank you
Nice zoo! Kangaroos were awesome!
Such friendly staff, loved that we could really take our time and enjoy the animals. Kids and us loved our time here great family fun.
Very friemdly peeps
Great price and good laughs!!
This is a drive thru zoo that some animals can come right up to your car. Most animals are behind fencing but you can feed them the new bird exhibit is amazion tons of birds fly right up too you and you can feed them with a stick
Really nice drive through park
Fun place to be for any age group. Loved the interaction we had with knowledgeable staff esp. Diana. Will be back again!
Great place to bring kids. There is a petting zoo and drive through.
Fantastic! The staff was very professional and treated me like family! They truly love animals and want their guests to learn all about a wide variety of animals species. Both Zoos were amazing and I can't wait to visit again!
Nice but $80 to drive thru was high to me.
We took the kids expecting them to be able to interact with the animals. By petting zoo, they mean through the fences. There was no bottle feeding, the cages looked in disrepair and desperately needed cleaned up. The drive thru portion was ok except a good portion of the animals seem to be sick or something as their hair was very patchy. There were no bison that we could see, not enough grass for the animals to graze on, way to many deer, and roads are in need of repair. The only animal that could come up close was the emu. The rest were fenced in away from road. This place was much better in 2009 when we took the kids, but now I would recommend saving your money. Before the owner says that I'm wrong or wasn't at their park, I can assure you we were. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review, and this was enough.
My husband and I got the senior's price for a little over $12 each. Staff were friendly and helpful. Animals clean and had a lot of space. We opted not to go to the petting zoo area and just did the drive through. While there were lots of animals I felt the variety was small. While we did see a few wolves, don't expect to see other predatory animals there. If you know that going in, it might be just your cup of tea.
5/6/18 56 dollars for a family of four. All that was it there was goats and emu. Horrible time and waste of money. No Buffalo's it was horrible.
Loved it!
Fira Children ok....
Great place
Great place! I guess most of the animals are rescues.
Definitely the highlight of our day. We wanted to drive thru again. We will be back and let our family and friends know about this place.
