Way super cool! The animals were way dope and its only $44 for an adult. I went there at 12:30 pm and had a hard time seeing thr whole park. Its a massive place with too many cool critters. Also consider that paying admission helps them feed and maintain these animals many varied and special needs. Well worth the while and they said they're adding 1p new species by spring 2020!

Mike Third

The lil Monkeys are hella coo

Twice i have been here and most likely i will be visiting again as our little one enjoys coming here. Some may feel entrance fee pricey, but there are ways you can find deals to save money if more than 1 person is going to bring down cost 50-60% of regular price. It's totally worth it. Carry some cash in hand if you are planning to buy lunch inside. Otherwise you will end up using the ATMs which charge you couple of dollars to pull some money out.

This is a great place to eat and check out the animals. We shared it with family that had never been and they really enjoyed the beautiful and huge aquarium. The service is always excellent.

Renard Gittens

This place was great and HUGE,go early stay all day! It is a zoo, aquarium & safari park there is a restaurant by the main entrance and snack bars in many different locations throughout the park. We went in February so it wasn’t real hot and the animals were active and visible even the lions & cheetahs. The only drawback was you couldn’t buy one ticket for all the rides you must pay at each & it’s cash only but overall was a great to spend the day!

Adolfo Martinez

Our family loved it and the encounter show was awesome definitely will recommend

Dakota Couture

Honestly it was really fun. Recommend bringing lots of water!!

Dennis Sutton

Great people work there, they really cared about what we needed, the animals all looked well taken care of, though there are so many people that were pigs throwing their garbage everywhere like in the moats. We enjoyed talking with the employees, getting more details on all the animals.

Alicia Wright

Very large park with quite an array of very well taken care of animals. We spent 4 hours and only hit maybe 2/3 of the whole park, and that was without taking in any of the shows or rides. You could spend all day here and not do everything. Looks like a couple more exhibits are being added in Spring 2020, so we'll definitely be back.

This place is over priced, it cost us $100.00 for two adults and two children. The so called aquarium is very small, the only animals my kids could enjoy were the giraffes. I just can't understand why they are receiving such high ratings. I drive by this place once a week, on the 303, and I never see any people within the park. I see animals walking around eating in the park, but no humans walking around and nobody on the park rides. The one good thing is that there is never a crowd of people, so you will basically have the place to your self, for what it is worth.

Tomas Hyde

It's a great place to visit. Only thing I personally did not like was that I went to buy food and asked if I could get ice and water in my hydro flask and was told if you want water it's $3.50 a bottle.. say what!!! It's just water come on. And I could only get ice if you got a drink from them. Either way they want your money.

Herb Tuiaana

Much more interactive than the Phoenix zoo and it has an awesome aquarium that makes you forget that you are in the middle of the desert. Just don't try to take a picture too close to anything that kill you.

Carters Farm MPZ

What a great zoo. Petting zoo is amazing and animals to fill a whole day. We recommend this zoo to anyone who calls.

Michael mclaughlin

Great place and the aquarium is great but it's very expressive! You really need to check for coupons before taking the family.

Victoria Pratti

Food and service was pretty good. Sitting by the tank was a pleasure. I'll definitely go again.

Ànne & Mark Pagè

Way too expensive and then they won't let you even bring in your own food for lunch! Won't go back for a long time!

Alyssa Mahar

Love this place. Definitely would recommend. Bring your walking shoes and some water, and visit the macaw in the aquarium, he talks sometimes!

K Brigan

Animals seem happy and there is lots of shade for the kids. Pretty pricey but you can easily spend the full day there and not see everything.

Brooke Allen

What an awesome place! I wish the rides didn't cost extra, but that's not a big deal. They have a great selection of animals to see. It was hot out, but there was plenty of air conditioned indoor exhibits scattered about. We were confused about the abundance of Macaws everywhere. Found out they rescue them. So amazing!

Gabrielle Treece

My daughter and I had a great time here. Definitely worth one trip, my only complaint is that anything other than looking at the animals cost extra $$. It was $6 per person for a train ride, $6 per person for the Safari ride, etc. The staff was friendly and we loved seeing the baby animals in the nursery!

John Smith

The best place to go for the day. Bring your walking shoes.

Lynn McColley

You've got several choices for zoo's in Phoenix. They are all good. World wildlife Zoo may be the best. We spent 4 hours on a beautiful day and only got through about a third. Highlights we're the awuatic area, and the kids thought feeding the giraffe was a blast.

Mary Bernal

Many new rides available. We did the bird feeding and it was so much fun. They have lots of animals and the interactions with them are very fun. Great for a whole day activity.

Kelly Ruffalo

LOVE THIS PLACE! Can't wait to see the GIRAFFES! ;)

Kristi Gilbert

We got tickets for this through the Luke Air Force Base so we got discounted tickets. Best to get them there if you are active/retired military. We really liked the zoo. Many cool animals and able to feed the giraffes right there. Get some quarters at the entrance for the feed machines many opportunities to use 50 cents to get food from dispensers to feed animals. Not crowded at all. We hard packed dirt. Not as hot as Phoenix Zoo. They have rides also for $6.00 each. We did the ski lift type gondola ride and the log ride that gets you wet. Nice day. We got there just as it opened. Nice and cool. Heated up in afternoon and we went to see the aquarium at that time. Nice and cool for Phoenix. Ha. They have our favorite penny smasher machines so take some quarters and pennies. Have fun. We did.

Christian Hernandez

This zoo is spectacular. I come here often and I love it everytime. Highly recommend.

Will Sydnor

This place just keeps getting better. More animals, more rides and always lots of baby animals.

Rachael NemeraBengals

We love this zoo! Have been several times now. Always some free extras to enjoy (sea lion show, feeding the lorry parrots, wildlife encounter show, touch pools including stingrays) and some cheap extras (feeding giraffes, carousel, feeding stringrays). If you're planning on eating at the zoo - be prepared for ridiculous prices. Bring your own water bottles and fill them up at fountains around the zoo. The one in the Baby Animals house is ICE COLD!! Early morning is usually the best time to see the animals before it gets too hot out. The best times, weather wise, we went were in May and September. The most exciting exhibit we saw was the leopards :) the Sky Ride. Lets you see some of the bigger animals much closer & great photo ops! Worth the extra $6/person to ride it. The tram that goes through the enclosures is pretty neat too but it gets expensive to do all the extras especially if you have kids.

Jose Barrios

this place was a great experience and the animals they had seem to be kept in good condition which is always a plus to see. there's usually a Groupon that you can use to get a discount but either way the regular ticket prices themselves are not that expensive

Beautiful zoo. Really large with lots of animals. Definitely a multi-day visit

LaVina Burns

It was so fun!! I took my granddaughter for a date there. Excellent choice!! The staff was pleasant and helpful! Thanks for a well kept zoo and aquarium!

Judge Judy

Awesome place. Lots of animals close to each other so u don't have to walk as much as the Phoenix Zoo, but almost twice the price. If you go feed the Lorie's lots of fun.

Christine Bank

A lot of animals to see there, also a lot of walking too, so be prepared to walk A LOT!! Just to see everything you need to speed walk or use 2 days. Otherwise, choose what you want to see 1st & go from there. I went with work & had a group of kids to watch. It was nice, not too crowded, could use bathrooms easily & learned about the animals with the plaques of info by each animal area. Lots of birds & monkeys too. Definitely bring extra sunscreen & water!!

Sandy Murin

Would be a good idea to make rides available with wristband purchase at the entrance . It’s a bit spendy to pay entrance and then pay for rides (cash only) while walking around.

Dimmu Borgir

Amazing zoo my kids always enjoy going there. It's gotten so large now with the extra added animals we normally get there at opening time and leave until about 4-5 pm. So take plenty of water and snacks for your kids.

Laura Payne

Very big zoo. Only Saw about half of it. I feel like they could've had more water fountains though. Guess that would ruin them marking up bottles of water though.

Crizna Zamora

Super large zoo. Loved taking my kids here. They enjoyed it very much so. You might need to take two trips it's so big! The bears were my favorite.

Glenda Jones

Our waitress was the best! She accommodated our grand children we had with us without a second thought. I believe the food was above average. We were seated outside. It was beautiful and less noise than inside. Wish we could have seen the sharks and other fish better without intruding on other diners.

Amanda Alverson

Love this zoo because it's not all about putting the animals in cages for the poor creatures to be gawked at. Seeing a good portion of the animals being in open enclosures able to roam freely, interact in their communities and actually live instead of just existing is as beautiful as it is educational.

Heather Barnes

Very very dusty!!! If you have respiratory issues ( you will have when you leave ) don’t go!!! We were not told when we entered that cash was needed at all the cafes. Who carries cash?? Yes there were ATM’s with a fee at the cafes. Cafes pricey $4.00 for a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar!!! Should have signs before everyone enters notifying them of the cash stance. Now about the gift shop..I bought a (one) pair of a child socks for $7.99!!! A 18 month tiny t-shirt for $16.99!!! Customers were walking in and seeing the prices and walking right back out.

Laura Soltes

This is a wonderful place to spend a Saturday. You can see all the animals easily. The aquariums are awesome . There is also a zip line which last a total of 30 seconds for$15. There are about 8 rides from carousel to train ride, super high swings . Each ride cost money . Ranging from $5 to $15. Tickets are$ 21 for children 4 and up . Adult tickets are $41. Pretty pricey i thought. The over all experience was good. There is a lot of shade but don't forget your sunscreen . There is a restaurant called Dylans BBQ. Food is good. You can also find a couple of other places inside the zoo to eat at . It does say at entrance no outside food or drinks but we had no problems bring in our H20 bottles .

Kirsten Olshefsky

Wonderful zoo. The Safari park addition is worth the trip alone. You can feed many animals and enjoy close encounters with some. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Definitely go right when it opens if you're going in the summer to beat the heat and crowd.

Antonio Rubio

Its a nice zoo. To be completely honest the animals seem to be a bit sparse and not at that happy. But I can't imagine any animals is insanely excited to be in captivity. I really like seeing tigers and sea lions. They had a really cute baby clouded leopard in the baby animals exhibit. Most the staff seemed friendly and they have some fun rides throughout the park. You can bring your own drinks and snacks so that is really nice but dont forget to bring cash because after you enter, everything is cash only. Atms are located throughout the park but who wants to pay those fees. Bottom line, its fun, good way to spend a day, but has room for improvements.

Danae Barker

This zoo is great! It's very large so plan for a few hours visit. Also, bring cash. Most of the rides and Cafe's don't accept credit cards. Lots of education about the zoo and it's animals throughout the entirety of the park.

Tiff Doodles

So cool! So much aquatic life! Animals I have never seen. Very informative. Good family trip

maria mendez-garcia

We went on a weekday so it was pretty empty and super hot. They have lots of birds and though they try to make it a tropical environment it's kind of sad to see animals in cages. It's huge place. I wish they didn't have those machines with the food pellets. It costs 50 cents and you get maybe 6 pellets and crumbs. I just saw video of my nephew visiting another zoo and feeding the giraffes lettuce ! Why can't they have that here I wonder.

Tina Seamans

We had a lot of fun. Since the last time we were there a lot has been added and it made for a great time. We didn't get a chance to see all we wanted but we enjoyed seeing the animals and what was new. Would definitely recommend the place for anyone

Aida Awad

Although the entry ticket is pricey, this place has a great variety of animals. Many animals are in animal friendly habitats, and remain easy to view. Lots of shade too. We were there on a 100 degree day, but the amount of shade makes it pleasant.

Courtney Boss

Nice sized zoo. A lot of walking but there are indoor exhibits to give you a break from the sun. There are rides that give you an aerial view of certain exhibits and a few rides just for fun. Drinks can purchased with cash at several spots around the zoo. We were there for about 2+ hours and didnt even get to see the entire zoo. Will definitely go back.

Stacy Flewelling - Crow

We had a great time at the zoo today. We rented those character scooters. Quote of the day “they are totally worth it.” One hour rental turned into 3 hours and we got to see the whole zoo without killing our backs.

Noah Curry

A really great zoo with a ton to do and see. We love the variations of animals and you get to experience a lot of different things here. It can be a little pricey when you have to pay for a lot of the extras but it's always worth it.

Coleman Anderson

I love this small town zoo. It has such a nice collection of happy and healthy animals. They are still adding new additions which is great. The aquarium has some of the largest Discus fish I have ever seen. My favorite fish and shows they know what they are doing. There were a few school groups but still didn't feel crowded. Lots of room to walk about. Also the baby nursery is an amazing concept and loved the cute lion cubs.

Nathan Farley

Always a fun time when you're at the zoo! Worth the annual pass, you'll easily want to go back!!

Marc M

Great zoo with close views of the animals some cages have the large cats walking directly overhead. Train & tram safari rides have you in the animal enclosures. Animals at clearly well taken care of and walked up to us when we talked to them. We expected too spends a couple hours here and spent three times that having a great time with the animals.

Josephine Gilmore

I give the zoo 5 stars because they take really good care of their animals. They are all healthy looking beautiful precious mostly endangered beautiful beasts. They are clean and as free as can be. The admission fee is a little bit more but I would rather pay more for them to be well cared for. I happily pay for them to be well taken care of and they are happy. I can tell. You should go check it out. You will fall in love with all of them.

Paras Rad

Lots of shaded areas to stop and look at the animals. Exhibits are unique and provide close up views of many animals. The giraffe feeding is amazing and very fun. Would recommend going closer to fall as it cools off more, but if you go earlier, especially during the weekdays while school is in session you will have the park to yourself. More of the feedings and events happen as it's cooler so if you want to know what's running during summer it's good to call. The staff are very knowledgeable too. The aquariums are massive and really diverse too. You really almost need more than one day to see the whole park.

Dawn Deguire

I was amazed how well you are able to see the animals. And how empty the park feels because it is so big. Great variety of animals. Much better than the Phoenix zoo. Just know they only take cash in the park though. There were atm machines throughout the park. Very fun time!

Linda Fox

We've been here twice with our toddler. She's entertained throughout. She likes the aquarium and the lions and was blown away by feeding the giraffes. Bird lovers would be in paradise, there are birds every freaking where you turn. Don't miss out on the nursery! They had baby bobcats and leopards.

Nicol Bearup

Love this Zoo easy map and easy to walk around. I love how all the animals are close to see

Trish Leon

Worth the drive!! Absolutely the best zoo experience, get your walking shoes on because it is spread out. I love walking thru the animal grounds then finishing up at the aquarium areas. Plan your visit for 2hours minimum.

Jordan Parkes

It really will take you 6-8 hours to stop and see everything. We had such an incredible time. You can get so close to the animals and there are plenty of shady spots and exibits to get out of the sun. Definitely bring cash with you, many spots don't offer card options for payment.

BettyAnn Ashby

Amazing and magnificent ❤️

Tom Santek

Very nice place to go with family and friends! Lot of animals and always something new!

Greg Bullock

This zoo is more casual in atmosphere than the Phoenix Zoo. They have a great number of birds in addition to a few large animals and assorted smaller ones. It's nice to switch over to the indoor aquariums as the day heats up. The adorable penguins alone are worth the cost of admission.

Chris m

This place is absolutely amazing. It does cost a bit to get in but that money goes toward the 4 trillion animals they have there. Love this place and we are getting season passes for christmas for sure! My kids are obsessed.

ramona brunswick

Awesome! Obviously really hot in July. Aquarium, sea lion feeding and log ride was just the things to see and do. Highly recommend!!

Eddy Zuazo

I really enjoyed my time here. There is a lot to see and would need the whole day to really appreciate every exhibit. Sun screen is a must if you go as you'll be waking outside for most of the visit.

Leah Monserrat

First time visiting and we loved it. Many animals and we were able to see them. Lots of walking on flat ground which made it doable for us. Each employee we dealt with was super friendly and helpful. The price of admission is definitely reasonable.

Melody Dockery-Chleva

Only thing I don't like is that they still haven't found a way to keep the dust at a minimum. I always enjoy this venue. Their food is typical, but it's a great way to spend a nice day. I also appreciate that they didn't punish the jaguar for a mistake from a patron. Although, I would like to suggest we rename her to Selfie

K.

****Make sure you take CASH! They have ATM’s but if you don’t want to pay the withdrawal fee, the main eatery is cash only, and I’m not sure what the other ones are because there was only one with lunch food options so take your own snacks if you have kids*** Absolute *MUST SEE*! This is the best zoo I have ever been to. We got there when they opened and stayed until they closed and still didn’t see the whole thing! The giraffe feeding attraction is amazing! Who knew a giraffe tongue felt like a cat tongue. Definitely not common knowledge! Make sure you take quarters because it is $0.50 to get the food. The bird feeding is a must-do as well! We participated and had birds landing on our heads and down our arms. Super unique experience. The staff members are so, so sweet and you can tell they adore the animals! They also offer attractions and rides. It’s more than “just” a zoo! This is a great spot for kids, and they have rescue animals like macaws

Scott C

Always lived this private zoo and with the aquarium it is just that much better. My mother and I try to do an annual pilgrimage there in the fall. The setting is more natural and quaint then the phoenix zoo.

Amanda Lutha

This is a nice zoo with lots of different animals. The zoo is huge so plan on being there for a while. There is some shade and there are benches to sit on in the newer parts of the zoo. It’s not paved so you are walking mostly on dirt. The new exhibits are nice, the older ones are mostly chainlink enclosures. There are a few restaurants inside and there are a few picnic tables if you brought your own lunch. There is a playground and a petting zoo. There are also a few carnival-type rides. The aquarium area is nice. It’s pretty expensive, $40 for an adult, so check Groupon first because tickets are usually on sale there.

Polly Bergseng

Great place to visit with kids and adults--lots to see! We've been to a lot of different zoos around the county and this is definitely in our top 3! So many animals and great access to get close viewing. Seeing the tigers and rhino close up was amazing!

I can tell. Joyce Figueroa

I loved this place and so did my kids. We enjoyed it very much. The only thing i will say is that the fact that you can only use cash for the cafe's and rides is inconvenient

Azaria Brooks

Kinda expensive but it is a private zoo. Pretty neat though, we have a membership. No elephants which has me bummed

Kathy Hagan

Such a nice place to visit, lots to see, and learn about. We had a really nice day, everyone was helpful and friendly. We even splurged on the log plume ride, and the tram, which was worth the price.

Alex Layton

The zoo was great, visited during the slow time so many of the rides were down, but the tour buses were still running and the animals were active despite the heat

Renee Henderson

This is my favorite zoo in the Phoenix area. I feel like it changes every time we go! They have new animals coming regularly and the animals seem active as opposed to some where they are always hiding. I would love to see a splash pad added for those hot summer days!

Jamie Alascia

This is the most amazing zoo I ever been to and I miss it so much now that I don't live in the area. The animals are actually happy and they have so many babies that you get to see all the time. And there are a ton of experiences that you can have being much closer to the animals with less cages than other zoos.

Cheressa Cargill

This place is huge. I got an annual pass and have been 3 times and still have not seen / done all this conservation has to offer! I love how close you can get to the animals and the rides are fun. There is a log flume for those especially hot days. The animals are all very well cared for here and safe.

Paras Rad

Lots of shaded areas to stop and look at the animals. Exhibits are unique and provide close up views of many animals. The giraffe feeding is amazing and very fun. Awesome place to hang out for they day!! Animals are well taken care of, staff is great. Lots of shaded areas in the park. Look for 5 dollar discounts for entry... Clean and open areas with easy viewing of the animals. Animal shows with the staff are groovy as well. Overall 5 star experience.

Tom McWilliams

Really nice place. Loved it here for the most part. Seriously expensive. Last trip cost me a little over $300 for 3 adults and 4 kids with lunch and drinks. Don't take your family unless you have a coupon or $$$$$$$ to burn.

Dawn Bryden

Had a great time

Kayla Grubin

My favorite zoo in Arizona!! It actually feels like a zoo. Dirt walk ways most of the zoo && they have an amazing aquarium with sea lions.! Different rides throughout the park and all the animals look happy. I can go on & on about how amazing this zoo is!

Charlie Maxson

Very extensive and fairly large zoo in far West Phoenix. The animals are, for the most part, in outdoor, fenced enclosures so some of them may be quite far away from visitors bit many are used to humans and are quite close. There are many birds, reptiles, and the usual assortment of lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, etc. In addition, there are some rides such as trains, trams, a sky ride, a zip line, carousel, and others. These have an extra charge -- usually $3 to $5 -- in addition to the regular admission charge (25 - 30 dollars depending on age). There discounts of $5 readily available for veterans, AAA members, or coupons that seem to be in many retail stores in the Phoenix area. Families could easily spend the entire day here.

Melissa Georgi

I love this zoo. It's pricey to get in, but they clearly spend the money on the animals and conservation instead of marketing and glam. So if you're looking for a sleek commercial zoo, this ain't your place. All the exhibits/enclosures have lots of space, the critters all look really healthy and content, and while all the pathways are dirt, it's always really clean and well kept. And there's just so much to see that the kids and I never manage to see it all. Even better, there are never as many people as at the Phoenix Zoo, so there's less waiting and the little ones can see the animals without being overwhelmed. This was our first time in the safari team, and it was worth the extra money to drive through the exhibits with the guide, especially if you're with someone with limited mobility. It's cash only though, be ready. There are also lots of opportunities to feed the animals, including the best petting zoo I've ever been to, just be prepared with lots of quarters. Overall a great outing for the family.

Norma Ortiz

All the way from Chicago to visited this Zoo for my son, JB and family to see and we actually love it! Especially we love to feeding the animals! I know it’s kinda pricey but it’s definitely WORTH IT! This is one of the best zoo ever we visited! We will love to go there again whenever we visiting Arizona.

Scott Mitchell

This zoo is complete garbage. I've been to a number if zoos and aquariums in my lifetime and this is by far the worst. The exhibits are dirty and we didn't see a single zoo keeper the entire time we were there. It's a horrible commercial attraction that makes me sad that places like this even exist. The animals seem to be kept in very poor conditions. I've been to good zoos where the exhibits are clean and the animals seem to be well kept. This is not that type of establishment. It's also way, way over priced. Please, if you read this DO NOT GO HERE! This place needs to be shut down so please stop going. Maybe the Phoenix zoo is good so go there instead.

Evelyn Noriega

It was alright but can do better , make it more modern looks old

Miply

Very nice place. A lot of the animals are rescued (I think 90% of the birds?). Every animal looked happy and healthy. Be prepared, this place is HUGE. Wear comfy shoes and be ready to spend a whole day here.

belinda davidson

This Zoo is HUGE. They have an Amazing Giraffe feeding station!!! 50 cents to feed them as many times as you want. Very up close exhibits with unique animals. Also has rides and navy flights training nearby ( very cool) Loved it, but bring comfy shoes. Well worth every cent :)

Subscribe to Gavitronicks

Way better than the Phoenix zoo. Its bigger and there's more animals. The dillons there is really good, and don't forget to bring sunscreen

Dawn Deguire

I was amazed how well you are able to see the animals. And how empty the park feels because it is so big. Great variety of animals. Much better than the Phoenix zoo. Just know they only take cash in the park though. There were atm machines throughout the park. Very fun time!

Jessica Hewitt

This place is so cool!!! I haven't been here for about 15 years. It has grown so much and has a really cool variety of animals. Unfortunately we ran out of time and missed the Safari Exhibit but nonetheless we had a great time! With a sunny AZ, there is lots of shade, sitting areas, and quite a few places to run indoors in case you need to escape the heat. There are also a few food options here as well with reasonable prices :) Last but not least the aquarium exhibits were very unexpected and definitely exceeded what I was expecting!!!

carol Lang

Really enjoyed myself here..I think you will too !

Joseph Gambino

I enjoyed our trip to the Wildlife World Zoo. We went early in the morning when they opened at 9 and there were so few people we could explore the park and see the animals at our leisure. As the day warmed up we visited the aquarium to cool off and finished our trip with a visit to Dylan's BBQ for some good lunch. While not on the same level as larger zoos it was still an enjoyable experience with a wide variety of animals. Would visit again.

Jeff Dur

Pretty depressing place. Animals all look unhealthy and/or hiding. Dont even think about going in the summer.

Garret Rzepecki

Always a great place to visit on the west side of Phoenix; the restaurant has great aquariums, one view of their albino alligator inside the bar area, and flamingo viewing from the patio. Their gift shop & ticketing area has additional aquariums as well as a view of the monkey exhibit. Once inside, there are plenty of attractions and exhibits to enjoy with a young family, and the rides are accessible at a reasonable cost. What prevents a 5-star rating is that the exhibits haven't been remodeled or updated to optimize the viewing of animals, and they haven't added new exhibits within the past 2-3 years, at least none that I'm aware of. But, if you've never been and are looking for a new, fun place to take your children, this park is well worth a visit when near this more distant part of the valley.

Zoe Deib

Amazing since we went on a warm day and were the only ones there. Be sure to carry cash though, most of the cafes/ food stops only take cash, plus it will save you the ATM fees.

Linda Fox

We've been here twice with our toddler. She's entertained throughout. She likes the aquarium and the lions and was blown away by feeding the giraffes. Bird lovers would be in paradise, there are birds every freaking where you turn. Don't miss out on the nursery! They had baby bobcats and leopards.

Abby Rodriguez

This zoo is so much better than Phoenix Zoo! You can easily see most the animals & get closer to them than you can in the Phoenix zoo! Some of the enclosures seemed a little small for some of the animals, mostly the reptiles but other than that everything is great! A little pricey but if you consider that this zoo is non profit it makes it all worth it! I would consider this zoo 100% over Phoenix zoo where you rarely get to actually see the animals. And I would plan all day here because it is HUGE

Adam Barnes

We had a very nice day at this zoo today. Beautiful animals. I loved the sea lion show and feeding the birds and giraffes. We rode the skylift so we could get a different view and it was worth it. The aquarium and indoor exhibit buildings are also very nice. Plenty of benches around in shady areas and water fountains so you can rest and several snack/food venues and a nice restaurant called Dillion's. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Some of the kids rides were not open to ride but we were not there for that.

Plannedartist 74

What an amazing place to go! My wife got a video of an albino peacock exploding all of its feathers everywhere it was so amazing I never seen anything like it before, we also got to feed the giraffes and how crazy was that slimed all over my hand and was pretty disgusting but at the same time very cool, I highly suggest going on the Safari ride we got to encounter lots of wild animals very close up, definitely would recommend

Danielle Copeland

A bit pricey, I live in St. Louis with a free zoo. Loved the aquarium. The zoo was nice but the animals seemed tired. Great scenery and it was the first time I saw a playground at the zoo which my daughter loved. Well trained birds.

Mike Mondloch

Love this zoo.. I consider it the best. Even on a 110 degree daythe aquarium was fun

Cassidy Sokolis

This is my favorite zoo. I've been coming here for years, and it's better every time. The animals are super friendly, the employees are kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend coming here, it's amazing.

William Smith

$41.50 plus tax? $20 for wheelchairs? Really? You should be ashamed of yourselves. Zoos are big business and this zoo proves that. Very sad.

Lonnie Thompson

Had an awesome time here at this zoo! Like they are saying- this place is huge. There is so much animals to see and the shows are amazing! The staff that are interactive with the animals are very caring and knowledgeable about their particular animal. Now that warmer weather is here...it may be best to visit more earlier in the day. Overall I had a terrific experience here and would love to come back to see more animals that I missed.

Heidi Presson

Largest collection of albino animals I have ever cone across before. Wish more of the rides were open more often and foid stands but that's alright I'd live to see bigger and more realistic areas for some of the animals but it's coming along beautifully. I wish people would donate more toward this place instead of those places that get government funding.

Elena Tapia

It really is upsetting that they won't let you in with coolers, especially in this 100+weather! How are you supposed to get through the entire zoo with a couple water bottles on hand when they're warm/hot by the time you want to take a sip and refresh! Not everyone is up for buying the water bottles inside for $2+! Very disappointing! By the way, to the reviewer who said that you're allowed to bring on your own food and drinks, that's false! It even says so on their web site, you must've smuggled it in, cause that's another reason why we immediately left. Very disappointing and it needs to change.

Daniel Fieldstone

This is an absolutely phenomenal zoo! Yes it is a bit of a drive to get all the way out here but it is a nice drive so long as there is no traffic. You will also drive by some flower fields assuming they have not been sold and developed by the time you read this. This zoo is massive! The biggest highlight to it is the petting zoo.

Nicole Mora

So much fun! My 2 year old was in heaven! You can even feed the sea lions and the giraffes! We’ll definitely be back :)

Andrea Guy

Way too expensive for what they have. The bathrooms are mostly dirty. It is supposed to be no smoking and we have seen several workers smoking in their trucks. One was smoking at the Kangaroo exhibit. For the money they charge it should be kept up much better.

Bernadette Righter

Love all rhe animals an you get a lot of excercise in the process. Would highly recommend anyone to go if you get the chance.

Ray Gutierrez

Been coming here since I was young. Its a wonderful Zoo with alot of diversity and a great atmosphere for kids. The girraffe feeding here has always been a staple of this zoo

Theresa Flores

My family really enjoys this zoo. Not only is it close by, there's so much to do & see. It's worth getting the annual membership so you can take your time rather than feeling the need to see it all in one day. They've had an expansion recently & more to come . . .can't wait too see what's to come!

Sean Rice

This zoo is great. The exhibits feel like you are really close to the animals. The shows were informative and fun. Definitely take the tram ride for the back area of the park. The guide was informative and we really got to see the animals up close. The aquarium area is nice too with a couple of tough pools our kids loved.

Kevin Arco

This a must do! What a great way to spend a day, there was so much to see. Can't wait to go back.

Daniel Fieldstone

Laura Burnett

They were supposed to close at 6pm but by 4pm all the restaurants in the park were closed. The last tram ride was at 4:30. If yr open till 6 you should be open till 6.

Jeffrey State

What can we say we love this place. You can get up and close to the animals. In all the times we have visited we have always seen something new. They continue to grow and offer a great and educational experience. Price is high but so is the normal zoo, but like a zoo get a membership. Get there early there is a lot to see and adding more. Oh and never pet the panther.

Rob C

Pros: You can get very close to all the animals. The aquarium sections are awesome. Cons: The rides are rip off. It is very expensive compared to the other zoo.

Victoria Vera

To much to see! Non stop fun! Food every where and drinks are not flat and watered down! Worth every penny!

Brian Regan

Great zoo and a hidden gem in the West valley. Decent sized aquarium and some rides for the kids. If you live on this side of town the membership is definitely worth it!

Alicia Collins

Great animal sanctuary, they TRULY care for their creatures. Beautiful place.

Anna Rose

Took my son here for the first time on his 6th birthday. We loved it. We were so close to the animals, a giraffe even surprised him by licking his hand.

Elizabeth C

World zoo &Aquarium is amzing! There r many different animals, you can also take food in for a picnic. T was supper hot the day we went so we couldn't see all the animals.

Lisa Simpson

Fun zoo to visit. It's spread out, so wear comfy shoes. I recommend getting there early as you can see some of the animals being fed and it's cooler.

Jamie Lucas

Each exhibit was large enough you could see all animals at all times. The admission price was crazy high to see hundreds of birds but not only one of every other animal. Kangaroo enclosure was closed again. Staff never talked to you even when you asked a question. Aquarium parts were small and stunk. Half the park was flooded so you couldn’t even go to that part of the park.

Jessica renee

Great zoo but I would not recommend going on a got day because alot of walking

corey shultz

This is a great zoo. So many animals to see and lots of fun stuff to do. Would highly recommend spending the day here. Lots of trees for shade and the place is so big it never really feels too crowded.

Kenneth Bradley

Lots of shade and places to sit as u walk around and see the animals. Big habitats, spacious. Enjoy the variety. Family friendly space.

lil monster

We had a very good time as a family. But the guy I think his name is John that works at the train station is very RUDE and made the end of my trip disappointing for my 5 year old daughter who wanted to ride that so bad. He need to work somewhere else not around people. I talk to other employees and they gave the opinion that he always talks to people like that. A great and nice zoo. Will go again but I will stay the heck away from John.

lauren

As I made my way around this place, I couldn’t help but feel a dreadful sense of sadness. The animals look absolutely miserable. The quality of their habitats are so poor. There are horses across the street from the zoo who have a better environment than the zebras. It’s a really dingy place and the owner should stop investing in dumb rides and invest in the wellbeing of the animals. It clearly shows that money is the only goal here and it’s completely disheartening. These animals deserve better.

Justin T

We had a very nice time. You’ll spend at least four to five hours here if you try to see everything. There are a lot of birds here, there is an opportunity to feed some parakeets. That was an awesome experience, my son got a kick out of the birds landing on his head and shoulder. There are so many animals here. The aquarium was nice, there were so many exhibits, I’m not sure we saw everything. We got there about 1200 and left a bit after 1600.

Azdimondkat Azdiamondkat

Great place would recommend it to anyone. We always have fun here and my kids love it here and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Eberto Freeman

Worth the entrance money! This place is HUGE! As I’ve volunteered there many years ago, I know how well these animals are cared for! This place runs of workers and volunteers. They get top class food and care! As they have expanded you will need to plan a whole day there, as walking around and seeing these animals takes time. Most of it is flat or has wheelchair accessibility so if your disabled don’t fear! You can still go here :)

Thompson Hunter

This not the kind of zoo you want to support. Your money is not going to animal conservation or education, it is going to the pocket of one person. I’ll try to briefly state some points: 1. This is a privately owned zoo. That means the owner has control. Which is fine if you have a caring owner. This one is not though. He is in it for the profit. Which is obvious by the constant upkeep and construction of rides that you have to pay for. Also, ask the staff how much they get paid. He offers them the minimum amount he has to. Any benefits full-time workers usually get are pretty much non-existent. Long time staff make less than what other zoos pay entry level workers. With this type of model, either the staff work extra jobs perpetually or they go somewhere else (so what’s left is overworked/exhausted staff or staff that aren’t high quality). The owner relies on the fact that people enter this field for their passion, and he takes full advantage of that. There are so many examples of him cutting corners to pocket a profit for himself. Which leads to the next point: 2. Animal care is not a priority. This zoo meets the minimum qualifications at best for a lower tier certification than other zoos. Look at the exhibits, they aren’t that great. That’s because the owner puts little thought into their construction based on the perspective of the animals. You can even ask the staff, he continuously ignores their opinions with every new exhibit. And the next time they are building one, go watch who is building them. His maintenance staff are an interesting crew to say the least. These exhibits are “designed” to meet the very minimum qualifications in order to maximize how many they can squish into the property, and they are built by people who do not care and who you seriously wonder if are even sober. This approach by the owner continues to other areas such as poor diets, poor cleaning standards, few enrichment options, etc. This list could be very long. And yes it always comes from the top. When the staff bring up certain issues, they are almost always denied or ignored. Everything I say can be verified by simply signing up to volunteer. Since the owner set it up so staff have to rely on people who are willing to work for free, there is rarely a shortage of need for people to volunteer. You can easily observe any of this for yourself from just volunteering once a week. Then you can also see what happens when government agencies such as the USDA get called for inspections (which happens more than it should). The owner has a plan to sneakily evade the inspectors on certain points he know he’d get cited for. For example, slapping uniforms on volunteers to pretend they were stationed somewhere, or quickly cleaning certain exhibits to make it look they are cleaned every day. Your money is better spent elsewhere

carolyn anglin

It was a very hot day in June but we still enjoyed it.

Katrina Coon

Tons of fun with lots of shade so you can take a break. But make sure you bring cash.

Katura Rodriguez

It was great! However it was a cool 110° so we were a bit warm..upside..it was like our personal wilderness!

dantes estrada

Where do I start. Well this place is huge. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. This place offers a plethora of animals to look at. Lions , and tigers, and bears. And much more. Highly recommend go check this place out.

Al Munson

My family has been coming here for 10+ years. I enjoy WWZ so much more than the Phoenix zoo. Animals are easier to see. I fed the sea lions, it was a great experience.

Travis Collatz

Amazing place. My wife and my cousin both loved it. And the kids had a blast too. Nice little bar by the flamingos

Tahir Reid

Clean environment, friendly staff and my daughter LOVED every minute of it

cara Levens

Always cold and always a fresh glass. Food is just ok and service well they could add more staff but I get it. That freezer they keep these glasses in doesn't run on good looks. Always stick with COLD BEER!

Suzanne Smith

We were surprised how awesome this place was. We like that the animal enclosures are larger than a conventional zoo and that they do conservation work. Well worth the trip.

Kathy Munro

Good to walk around. Many animals showed serious signs of stress.

Lorraine Jaramillo

Let me see, haven't been here since 2005 or so, but absolutely loved it! This time I was with my grandson who is 6 yrs old, and his two ma'mas. I will have to say, I was sore after all the walking but, it was worth every step. To see his eyes, he would make sound like the animals, he loves animal's. So Thank you, from the Kazy RaeZ!

Marisa Martinez

So much better than the Phoenix Zoo! It doesn’t look like much from the freeway, so I was shocked at how large it actually is once inside. Plan to spend an entire afternoon or day here, wear walking shoes, sunscreen and clothes that you don’t mind getting dusty (the paths are flat but they are dirt paths). Also bring spare change to feed the animals from the animal vending machines. Next time I will be packing my own food to eat instead of purchasing the mediocre, overpriced food, but I can’t complain with the overall experience. I’ll be going back soon!

Sir

I’m a total animal lover. I was actually born on earth day and I care deeply for the planet and all of Gods creations. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than getting to encounter some wild animals. For my cons, I was a bit disappointed to see some areas of the park did close at certain times, certain animal encounters and what not. Also, very few shows seem to be happening, which is probably for the better considering our crazy heat. They had a log ride that seemed to be out of order or not running which I’m sure the kids would’ve enjoyed. The sky tram (I forgot the actual name) was a bit old but served its purpose, I just wish it had different stops, and took you to the front of the park. The pros, the park is massive with animals to see at every turn. Being able to feed the giraffes was the most memorable thing to do without a doubt (bring quarters to buy the food), they’re beautiful. My second favorite thing to do was feed the animals in the small petting zoo that’s near the exit. The goats ran up to me soon as I entered the fenced in area and I got to feed some deer, again very memorable. In closing, I feel every animal loving Arizona resident needs to visit the wildlife world zoo. Bring your kids and let them experience these beautiful majestic creatures and hopefully instill in them empathy and compassion for all animals.

Erin Law

A bit pricey, but totally worth it & the place is huge, so you can spend all day there. There are lots of extra paid attractions as well, but remember the attractions only accept cash. The train ride is a must, very cool & knowledgeable guides. This place has the most hands on interactions with the animals that I've been to. I recommend this place for families, dates or just to hang out with your friends.

Channa Griffin

It was hot when we went but it was still good. The animals we're all fairly active for it being 104. Overall it was awesome and everyone was so friendly and we all got to make some memories. We got to feed stingrays and giraffe

Roland Beaucage

Best zoo in the valley. Lots of great interaction with the animals and the animals are all well cared for and loved by the staff.

Miss Samantha

I thought the zoo was pretty cool regarding the neat variety of animals to see, as it took me 6 hours to see everything. I have a few problems with visiting though, the costs were ridiculously overpriced, 6 dollars for one ride is pretty crazy, and the meal prices made it so we couldn’t eat here, or I would have spent 40 dollars for two people. I suggest coming only for the animals, and eating elsewhere. Another issue I have is I saw that drinks aren’t handed out with lids/straws to help the environment (which I understand why) but at the same time I saw employees smoking and throwing their cigarettes onto the floor around the safari ride ticket stands and near animal cages... it just doesn’t make sense, I’m not sure if I’d come back or not.

Caleb Mauldin

I really enjoyed the Wildlife World Zoo! The setup puts you closer to the animals than say the Phoenix Zoo. The rides were affordable ($6 per person) and the food prices weren't inflated too badly. THIS PLACE IS GIANT. Be prepared to walk a lot but there are several places to sit down along the way. I enjoyed the extra space and variety of animals. Photos shot on a6400 / 50mm 1.8f

The Truth be told

A wonderful place. Was amazed at the amount of unique animals present. It started with the Aquarium section. I been to 5 different aquariums and saw fish I have never seen before. Then I got on the log flume ride which got me soaked ( very fun), Then through the rest of the park including the informative narrated train ride and the tram ride through Africa exhibit. All in all an excellent day. Additional every staff member we came across was friendly and helpful.

Teniece Smith

I loved it. So much to see. We will definitely be back.

José David Alvarez Guerrero

Great value place. The aquarium is awesome

Tyrell The Tyrant

My Husband and I went to Arizona for the first part of our honeymoon. Of course you have to go to the zoo if you love animals. It was a very nice place to be. The animals had beautiful habitats and seemed very happy and well cared for. Nice gift shop (Bought some tiger prints) Lots of shade to escape the

Kandi Dandi

Loveeeeee this place my toddler has a ball everytime we go the yearly passes are so worth the money you pay!!

T S

We've had a memebership for multiple years. Tons of animals that you can view up close, always expanding. definitely recommend the skyride

Joseph J

This place is awesome! It's hot as hell outside but don't let that stop you from having fun with the fam! Grab plenty of water and snacks, hats and shades with a large umbrella and you'll be good. You can find good coupon deals for this zoo online or Hickmans eggs usually has a BOGO coupon also (: They have added new exhibits so do your research on the website and enjoy your time here (:

Joel White

Always excellent, being going here since I was a little one and it's gotten so big! Tons of exhibits and it's laid out pretty well. Multiple places to eat on the ground and having many water fountains throughout the park is a plus. Well made and we'll be back next visit!

jade sorensen

Took the family to this super fun and interactive zoo. Fed giraffes, pet and fed stingrays. This was a fun place for all ages.

Baby love Williams

So wonderful! Worth the money! Wear comfortable shoes. Love riding on the gondola. Highly recommend! Plan on being there for 3 or more hours at least. Great family time!

Leslie Darling

Most of the animals were up and about despite the 90+ degree day. You could tell that they had regular zookeeper interaction throughout the day which kept them more visible and interested in the visitors. There's a King Vulture there that was really quite the ham. Loved him/her. Also the little armadillo in the wildlife show was a hoot! I took the Tram tour and highly recommend that. The driver was very friendly, informative, and shared his experiences with the critters on his tour. He obviously cares very much for each of them. Take the Tram! Plan on spending the whole day, there's LOTS to see. And visit Dillon's BBQ, delicious food, great shark tank view.

s h

Great Zoo. Like that much better than the Phoenix Zoo. Get to be a lot closer to the animals, there are more animals oh, there's also some cute rides and a great playground for the kids to play in. We spent a lot of time in the aquarium which was really cool.

Sarah Casey

Loved all the adorable animals. It was super fun.

ChuckD7961 Patriots

Great location, super care of animals, just the Bear needs water to play in/with.

John Greenawalt

It's a nice place to go. But it's very expensive to get in $39 a piece for adults. $20 for a child. And then once you're in the park. You still have to pay to go on the rides. Which is a little disappointing considering how much you pay to get in. Not to mention the food was overpriced as well

Linda Coker

This zoo has grown and expanded so much! It is really a delightful place to visit! We had a great time, spent entire day there. Highly recommend.

Joe Lo & Co.

So I have to say that this might be one of the best Zoos I have ever visited. It's more on par with something like the San Diego Zoo than any other privately owned zoo that I've been to. First of all, the price of admission is worth it. At first I felt the cost was a bit high, but after walking around the grounds - nearly 7 miles of walking without retracing a lot of my steps - there is a vast assortment of animals not commonly seen in other zoos. Having the opportunity to see a white rhino is worth the cost of admission alone. The displays are large but still very interactive. We got to feed giraffes, and were lucky enough to stumble upon feeding time for the Lory Parrots, which was an amazing experience in and of itself. Such a great experience! Concessions are thoughtfully spread about, so you're never too far from water, even if it costs a pretty penny. I recognize that the funds go back to taking care of the animals, so every penny is well-deserved. There are birds, reptiles, fish, mammals, and more birds. There are tons of things to see. Plan a whole day to make sure you get the most out of the experience and bring good walking shoes and your camera!

Lisa Rovson

Love them! Food was good. Atmosphere was great! You can sit outback with the The Flamingos and drink, or sit by the albino alligator in the bar or watch the sharks and stingrays swim by in the main dining area whole thing super fun staff is great

Alicia Milton

Fun place. We went on a very hot day. Be sure to cool down first on the water ride then go and enjoy your tour of the animals and facility. .

Jennifer Ericson

My daughter loves going here. And she had so much fun at their summer camp. She will definitely be doing it again next year!

Deborah Haynes

The admission is ridiculous. It should be half what they charge. Where were the elephants or the gorillas? Were they hiding? The lions and giraffes enclosures are the only sites worth viewing. You can feed the giraffes. That was our highlight. The aquarium is OK.

Christine Daly

Wrestled with even giving it a 2. First and foremost, it is way too exoensive to get in! Once inside, most things are extra. Cash only for snacks. I get the no straws no lids thing, but try giving a slushy to a 3 year old without either. We found most who worked there rude and not open to friendly communication. Feeding the giraffes was the highlight. Drained all our change but well worth it. We will not go back, there are other zoos to see and they have elephants.

Phil Braun

So much better than originally expected. Expect it to take all day due to all the animals to see, and it's not to crowded so you can truly enjoy it.

John Polk

Where do I start its 44 dollars to get into the park another 6 dollars to ride any of the rides and and then the food is very expensive. Also came for my son's birthday mainly to feed the Giraffe's and that was closed as well. I feel like I wasted money coming here.

Christopher Smith

This is a wonderful zoo, the animals are quite active and the staff are very friendly and willing to answer all your questions. I would recommend if you are in the area.

Leslie Lewis

Love this zoo. So much to see. Used to take my kids there and now take my grandkids. The zoo has really grown over the years. It's a little on the pricey side but that's how they add on. Aquarium is outstanding. Restaurant is good food too. There are several areas showcasing certain animals. Kangaroos are great. Can feed the giraffes. We stay all day. Easy to get around but a lot of area to cover. Well maintained.

Merrill Madsen

I wasn't sure what to expect for our class field trip here and I was impressed! I like the ambience - less pavement and more dirt trails and palm trees. They have cool big animals like the tigers (and a white one!), lions, rhinos, cheetas, giraffes, etc. We also got to see the adorable new baby jackals (the baby animal exhibit was a fun surprise!). They also have a fun play area, a "ski lift", train, and the petting zoo was a big hit. They have construction going on (watch out for the equipment) and they'll be getting 10 new species in 2020 in their African Safari exhibit. Definitely looking forward to going back with the whole family.

Michael Johnson

We had a lot of fun! My three year old loved it! Only downside is cost. 100 bucks for two adults and a child. Total spent was almost $300.00 for admission, a few rides, and drinks/snacks. No lids or straws so that's an inconvenience. But overall was a great experience!

Mario S

Not a bad place but they nickel and dime you for everything once you are inside. The rides average 6+ dollars and they are nothing special. For 44 dollars a adult children 13+ are considered an adult you would think the couple rides would be included. Definitely felt sorry for the Lemurs stuck on the tiny island doing hot laps. What blew my mind was they charged to rent wheel chairs for the disabled. Get this 20 dollars I about choked. You just felt taken advantage of. Could be a great little place.

Dale Gallosky

By far our favorite zoo, and worth the drive from California. I don't know anywhere else where you can feed animals so freely, nevermind the expansive park. We came for our second time with the mindset of getting the zoo done in four hours, but ended up staying a bit over six just due to how large it is. They are working on an expansion project to be completed next year; I'm anxious to see what they have in store for us. Prices are pretty reasonable as well for what you're getting. Going during the week is a big advantage, as the zoo is super empty.

Great zoo, but too hot in the summer. It is a very large zoo and they keep adding more and more exhibits! Love feeding the giraffes, just wish they had more places to do so, it has become very busy and we havent had the chance to feed them lately due to that.

Nicholas Adams

Exceeded my expectations. Tons of animals and marine life exhibits. You can easily spend all day here. Make sure to go check out the animal nursery. There were baby lion cubs, foxes, and warthogs. Awesome time with the family.
