REVIEWS OF Reid Park Zoo IN Arizona

Morgan Elise Alford

Nice little zoo! They have a good selection of animals and the whole space is a good size. Not too daunting for those unaccustomed to a lot of walking. We especially enjoyed watching the Andean bear splash around in its enclosure!

Deb Haglund

This zoo is smaller than the zoo I'm used to (Denver Zoo), but they did a very nice job organizing, maintaining, and presenting their animals for viewing. I love elephants, so it was a real treat getting to see the five African elephants there. And their rhinoceros was active in the morning, so we could better appreciate the rhino's large size. The restaurant was very concerned about providing quality food. My husband's burger wasn't ready when my brisket sandwich was. The manager informed us that it had been burned, so they were cooking a fresh burger for him. He apologized for the delay, and offered us a free dessert. And the quantity of sides (fries, fresh kettle chips) was huge! I would be happy to return, if we're in the area again.

Charles Pifer

Great small zoo. Easy to see everything in under 2 hours. The new tiny monkeys are adorable, and the search for them showed me that I had been missing about a quarter of the zoo for many years. A great way to entertain children for a few hours.

Chad Veillette

Always love the zoo. Clean grounds and lots of animals. Not impressed with the new tiny monkey exhibit though. I think more than the 1 monkey I saw would be a huge improvement.

Leonard P. Lowery III

Great place to gather or take the family. Kid friendly. Some of the park is under renovation. But always fun to be had.

Jenni Mattin

Awesome little zoo. Perfect size to walk the whole thing and not leave exhausted. The animals were awake and moving when we went which makes it all the more fun.

E.J. Wagner

This is one of the best places in the city to take your little one. Not only is the zoo a cheap and fun place, the big shaded pool super fun and kid friendly, but the park has many fun activities in its own way!

mikey mike

Fun place. Great animal exhibits and friendly service

Amy Huntley

This is a lovely zoo surrounded by a beautiful park in Tucson. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing day here with the animals. I would recommend a visit during the autumn months.

Leslie Rob

Its the best park ever i will always visit.

Jessica Marie

This zoo is fantastic, I have been a member for a few years and my kids and I always have a great time. They are doing a lot of expanding right now so there is some construction, but once it's done it will be amazing! They even have an indoor learning center in the back of the zoo and they have animal encounters. Just this week my kids have been able to touch and learn about a baby alligator and a lizard. I enjoy seeing the progress they make every time I come out to it! Highly recommend!

Danielle White

Great zoo. The animals are well taken care of. Great for kids. It's not too big so we can get through the whole thing

Great! Cool animals big area all great!

Malachi Eldridge

I'm extremely pleased with how much the zoo has improved! I have to tell everyone. So much fun. I have NEVER been told we should starting heading out because the zoo was closed! We brought a 2, 8, and 10 year old and we actually stayed so long that we forgot the time as we were enjoying ourselves so much.

Susie Snow

I was volunteering at the Rose Garden in Reid Park. It's e lovely place to visit. No entrance fee

Azucena .O.

I absolutely LOVE Reid Park Zoo. The staff is great and are always willing to answer questions, the animals are adorable and they really care about their animals. The events they hold- for members and for the public- are all amazing and unique! I take my niece and nephew here all the time and they never get tired of it. Their gift shop is adorable and while some items are expensive, all of the money goes to making sure the animals are comfortable. I love this zoo!!

Colton Patton

It was okay to say the least. Most of the habitats we getting cleaned, water issues, nothing in them or closed down...Rather watch healthy looking animals on NatGEO, than these poor critters. Just my opinion. Better for kids to expand imaginations at the next very least...

Linda Holland

Reid Park is always fun. I recommend visiting the beautiful rose garden. Or feed the ducks on the pond. Visit the zoo or let the kids ride the train around the park. For those of you who are more energetic, you can always play a round of golf, or just hit a bucket of balls. Enjoy your day at the park!!

Chaz Humphrey

OUTSTANDING VALUES and VERY family friendly, even those who are handicap. Everything is very GOOD for SENIORS, TOO.

Ferrari Welch

It's a small zoo but definitely fun and family friendly

Carol Foley

This is a small park with quiet a few animals in it. As a child I remember the park being bigger! I used to come here with my Grandma, loved it then and really enjoyed coming with my kids. The weather was perfect to spend an afternoon. It has little kiosks through out the park with small treats, there is a restaurant that smells delicious! We did not eat here, but did get drinks. The prices are not horrible, but a little high. The guest relations (people who wander the park) were very knowledgeable and friendly. The animals looked healthy and active. The zoo was very clean! Lots of signs for people to read information about the different animals. There is a lot of "small" construction on site and so some spaces are not open. Over all I would highly recommend coming to the zoo and making a day of wandering the walkways as you explore.

Phantasmal Forerunner

Prices better than I thought they'd be. Absolutely love this zoo. They've been expanding and thanks to some new props, they're going to be further expanding over the next decade! I can't wait to see. Great service. Plenty of helpful associates all around. Well kept. Animals obviously well cared for. I hope that this zoo stays here for a long, long time and continues to protect endangered species. :)

Sheena C

Such a cute little zoo! It only takes 1-2hrs to go through the entire zoo, so it is smaller but it's also cheaper than most zoos we have been to. In the exhibits it's done well so you can actually see all the animals. They have specific times where you can feed the giraffes. The animals were pretty active and moving around as well.

Abby Hunter

My 3 year old loves this park! Really love that there is an area for younger kids. Will be going back all the time.

Renae Lerma

Great value for this zoo. You will not be disappointed in the variety of animals. Beautiful walk ways and staff was friendly. There is also a kid train and carousel for $3 additional. Wish there were more options for snacks around the zoo. There are stands that have some drinks, popcorn, chips and ice cream. There is a food hall at the entrance for food orders.

Mariah Whisenhunt

Always a good time. Most of the staff I have encountered are very friendly. The animal demonstrations are very informative and they answer all questions.

Charles Pifer

Great small zoo. Easy to see everything in under 2 hours. The new tiny monkeys are adorable, and the search for them showed me that I had been missing about a quarter of the zoo for many years. A great way to entertain children for a few hours.

Katherine Cook

The zoo is the perfect size, especially if you have small kids, you can see all the animals in a couple hours. The African Elephants are amazing. The cafeteria has good food. Really happy with our experience.

Fabian Quezada

Good amount of tables, space ,and amenities. Nthe grills can fit about 12 burgers all at once.

MiSt 526

Always a fun place to visit, and there's always new stuff being worked on.

Gordon Aberbach

Very nice zoo a good variety of exhibits of wild life. Good size, easy to negotiate a path throughout. Helpful staff. Enjoyable excursion.

Luz Naranjo

It was really nice, a great place to take the kids. We loved seeing the Rhino.

Rosalind Peters

What I enjoyed about the visit this time was that staff was readily available no matter which way I turned. They were available to give directions and they were available to give information about the animals. I felt that we received extraordinary customer service on this day. My grandchildren loved it!

Diana Mian

The zoo was full today but so much fun for my three grandkids. Price is really inexpensive compared to everything there is to see. Food there I found was pretty expensive and small portions. I did not give it a four stars, only because my daughter fell on an edge that had metal on it and scraped her stomach when I told them they only gave a Band-Aid and some antiseptic wipe that's all they offered I thought they could have gone a little bit further in meeting customer satisfaction see my post

M0M LIF3 247

They are really putting our tax dollars to work.... I cant wait till its complete..... Membership is definitely worth it

Ashley Lytle

I live very close to this park I always take my kids there when I can and I play Pokemon go when I have the time. If people are trying to rent out ramadas I know you have to do it in advance sometimes by a couple months but that could have changed it's been a little while I believe you have to call Parks and Rec. It's a pretty good Park could be a little cleaner of people threw away their trash but it's nice to watch the Ducks and walk around the pond they also have a Rose Garden you can walk through it's usually open unless somebody has rented it out I believe you can rent it out for weddings and other occasions.

Sheri Ramirez

My son's job requires him to travel around the country for weeks at a time, and is fortunately able to bring his wife and home schooled son with him. For this reason they have had the opportunity to visited zoos all over the nation. While visiting me, they were very impressed with the Reid Park Zoo. Throughout the visit to the zoo they made remarks about the outstanding qualities from habitats, cleanliness, and layout. It just happened that our zoo visit was during the time lanterns for the Lantern Festival were being set up. Even in the daytime the lanterns were amazing, and nearly as interesting as the animals. I definitely want to go back during the lantern festival! It will surely be a beautiful display! There are too many wonderful aspects of the zoo to list herein. Go! Prepare to be entertained, educated, and impressed! Reid Park Zoo is a gem!

Priscilla Housholder

The Zoo is always fun! Excited to see the new exhibits when they get done

Cirilo Foot

Yesterday we visited the zoo with friends and family. We arrived early and expected to spend a couple of hours before it got too hot! The kids wanted to see the Jaguar but it was hiding back in a cool spot and we never saw one. Cats will do that you know! The elephants were out stirring dust and playing in the water. The giraffes were being fed by the visitors. The 80 year old tortoise got cooled off with a garden hose operated by the zookeeper. We got to see the Tiger as it was out for some morning exercise. All in all a nice outing and a great visit to the Reid Park Zoo.

Mary Lopez

I took my daughter to Reid Park and she loved it AR change it for the better

Kelly Pultorak

I love this Zoo. We purchased a membership just so we can come as much as possible. It is small enough to do after or before DR appointments in Tucson. Kiss also love the carousel. Highly recommended.

Sara Corrales

Always a pleasure!! Staff are eager to help!

Bob Carver

Nice Zoo, smaller than most but makes for a good couple hour.break with the kids.

Grant McCarthy

This place is on point. I've come back over and over again since I was a toddler. I take my kid here now and watch her experience the wonders provided by our amazing zoo. BTW, the Asian Festival Of Lights was incredible!!!

Kenneth Tomerlin

Always fun and enjoyable. The kids love seeing the animals. Such a nice, relaxing Saturday morning trip.

Kim M

Perfect size zoo to keep you busy for as long as you have time for. We saw everything under two hours and could have spent more time. Animals active and viewing was great. Enjoyed the bears, giraffe, and exotic birds. Fun day and very reasonably priced.

Kimberly Garde

The animals were out and active. It was easy to see the whole zoo in one visit.

Samuel Larsen

This is a great zoo! Compact but the exhibits are well done.

Aaron Myers

Great experience for family and kids. My daughter and i got to feed the giraffes. A nice little zoo. Good price. Worth a visit.

Sharon Grey

The zoo is stunning!! But it seems that it has fewer animals tham it used to. The enclosures are beautiful and clean. The human bathrooms REEK. NO outside food or drink allowed. But it seems they are lax about this rule. I didn't know better and we brought our own water and candies. If you do this take LOTS of water!! The food is insanely priced. Bring your own drinks and snacks. $4 for a 52¢ animal drink, same stuff as Hugs!! Same size too! $7 for a burger or a brisket sandwich. $5 for a slice of pizza. Visit in early morning or late evening. During the heat of the day the critters are hiding.

Robert Gomez

My daughter has lots of fun here she names all the animals and learns new ones. Says hi and bye. She loves the bears

Martha Hansen

Had a great time with my family at the zoo. The elephants were a joy to watch play together. Listening to the roar of the lion was awesome! And the rhino was very cute.

Kendra Blaine

Do NOT go to Boo at the Zoo!! Spent 55 dollars for my family to take my daughter - just to be confronted with huge crowds and hard sales people. After 2 hours we walked out with about 15 pieces of candy. This is after having been hard sold 3 different memberships - a gym, Mary Kay and a bowling place. I promised my daughter a snowflake wand from the gift shop on the way out (yes, willing to spend even more money despite my high annoyance) only to find out they close the gift shop before the zoo. I feel robbed, and so does my daughter.

Selena Pinkney

Great time with my 3 yo daughter. I love all the animal statues and the way the zoo is decorated. It's rather small compared to the zoo where I'm from, but had a great time and was a welcomed outing while on vacation. Admission price was good too.

Carolina Gofsky

This is a small zoo but the enclosures are beautifully kept, you can tell they really look after the animals, they have a lot of water features and mist stations to keep the animals cool. They've also done a great job with the viewing platforms for the enclosures.

Dreamsofu92

They were setting up for the Boo at the Zoo so a few areas were closed for the event and decorating but all animals were still in view and roaming about. And it's a sneak peek for halloween event 2019. It was perfect time going around 10 because we got to see some feedings!

Maria Teatzner

This zoo was nice and very well kept. Animals were secured in natural habitats. They had a giraffe feeding which was an added plus. It's $3 for a leaf of lettuce and a slice of carrot, but we knew it went to provide for the animals, so didn't mind the additional cost. Staff were friendly, and it was nice to see others that volunteered their time to such a worthy cause. There was an educational talk where the staff had brought out a baby crocodile (that was a little rambunctious while being held!). Interesting facts, and geared so children could understand. They had a store with souvenirs...of course my grandson had to get a hat. My granddaughter got a "Flip book". It was fun, and there are some benches to rest as you walk around...very important for those of us that have some mobility issues on occasion! Make sure you bring quarters and pennys...there are a few machines that crank out coins with animals on them (you do the cranking...lol). It costs 51 cents for each one.

Robert Jacquez

Lots of fun. Alot of animals. Great for kids and adults great expirence

Kristina Saucedo

My kids absolutely loved the zoo. Everything was super fantastic. Got to take a family portrait, feed the giraffes and ride the carousel. We had a fantastic time!

Joseph Muñoz

Green beautiful and a great place for your dog

serventKen Wallace

Took my daughter out for a walk in the park. It was beautiful and full of other people walking and running

Stephen Hall

The park is nice, lots of walking space. Smokers everywhere, uncaring for the Cancer causing smoke cloud they leave in their wake. The pond is so polluted, I can't believe anything can live in it.

Emily Hancock

Reid Park Zoo is one of the nicest for young kids. It's not too spread out, the animals are close enough to see most of them any time, there are nice shaded areas, and by the time the kids are tired you've seen it all. Highly recommend.

Arthur leeth

Go on a cool day so you can enjoy it, its a nice zoo

Kim Reighley

This is a fun little zoo that's easy to see in an afternoon! They have plenty of animals in habitats that make them easy to observe up close, and they have quite a few species not commonly found in every zoo, like a tapir and an anteater, among others. They have plenty of activities for young children, so we were able to keep my 3 year old engaged throughout, despite his toddler attention span. Bring some cash if you enjoy things like giraffe close encounters and carousels! They have a small play area near the aviary where parents can take a break while toddlers play as well, and a small educational center. Restrooms were always easy to find, and the park was clean and safe as a whole. You can rent motorized wheelchairs and strollers, so that's helpful as well, it's very handicap accessible.

Martha Hansen

Had a great time with my family at the zoo. The elephants were a joy to watch play together. Listening to the roar of the lion was awesome! And the rhino was very cute.

Ted Tenenbaum

This is a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon. The park is run very well

Cyndy Port-Dean

Celebrating sweet Nandi's 5th birthday

Marlee Latulippe

Lovely place...animals look healthy and happy...several peacocks roaming around. Foilage is beautiful throughout the park. Senior discount as well. Great cafeteria. Cant wait to go again.

Anita williams

This is a fun small zoo, you can see everything in half a dayish. Parking is free, you get up close to animals, and they are making a ton of improvements and expanding. Pricing is reasonable considering the free parking. The military discount for a season pass is great $64 for a year, or upgrade for $114 and bring friends with your family. The food was decent and reasonably priced. They sell Starbucks coffee. The one upgrade they could make is additional shaded seating. Make sure to feed the giraffes. Get in line 15 min early.

Amanda Marie Snell

I love running around this park! It is a 5-mile (figure 8) loop, or 4 miles around the perimeter. I love how there are always all kinds of people out enjoying the path (families, dog walkers, bikers, and runners of all ages). The trees and green in the park are also a treat, and runners can easily extend their route for many more miles by going through nearby neighborhoods (I prefer those on the east and north sides of the park).

Nicole Schlanger

Clean affordable it is small but perfect for little ones, the animals are always active. Wish they had a petting zoo. They also have a big play ground/park right out side the zoo with a pond. And + bathrooms

Bradley Matheson

This zoo has always had a special place in my heart. It isn't exceptionally large but it is well kept and barriers between animals and the viewers are minimalistic giving an amazing experience. The animal interaction options are also so fun! This is definitely a great day visit for families!

Adam Baird

This zoo is wonderful...and I have frequented many others across the country. I like that it's small enough to go through in a few hours, yet has all the "big draw" animals. They also seem to make a great effort in the well-being of them, and have plenty of information on not only facts, but conservation awareness. Great prices, free parking... great day

J.L. Burnett

New features at the zoo! It is a fantastic place to bring the kids and everyone!

Jenny Buck

The Reid Park Zoo is a wonderful place to take your family or hang out with a bunch of co-workers like I did. The zoo is a perfect size to see many animals in a small amount of time. The giraffes are the center of the zoo and you keep coming back to them making it very difficult to get lost, turned around or miss anything. The animals were all active and happy, this seems like it's a wonderful place for them to live! I went into the gift shop to find a little something to take back to my boys and there were so many fun things that I had a hard time deciding. The staff member in the gift shop was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Brandon Goldberg

Tracy went above and beyond to make our lives easier. About a month ago (May 2019), my 3 year old daughter lost her 2 favorite plush toys at the zoo. After numerous calls and being told there was nothing in the lost and found, we finally were connected with Tracy who took on and owned this issue. After a few weeks, many calls and searches of the zoo and parking lot, my wife and I had given up. 2 months later (end of July 2019), Tracy called that she had found them! I cannot explain how important these toys are to our daughter and without Tracy, we would never have gotten them back. She went above and beyond to make our lives better and to care for the members (us).

hector moreno

love it here. small enough to enjoy an afternoon. staff was very friendly

nickole roney

It was great my oldest son loved the animals only thing is try getting there early during the summer

J P

Very nice and clean zoo. Plenty of activities for kids. Take a look at the activity schedule before arriving and take advantage of the great programming. There is a small splash pad for the little ones. The cafe has just enough variety to please everyone.

Paul Hardersen

Reid Park Zoo is a gem in Tucson. With recent expansions with the Tanzania exhibit to their South America exhibit and special events, the zoo continues to be a truly valuable community member. They are worth supporting today and into the future!

Daniel Liebeskind

There for the Zooscon event. Great times for a great zoo.

BillyBigBlunts

Amazing place to take the family and enjoy a great day together.

Tina Ashcraft

Had a great time visiting today. One of the Docents named Francine stopped and talked to me for about 20 min, just chatting about the animals there and our love for animals in general. She gave me some info and also recommended that I check out the Arizona Desert and Sonora museum which I did. It was also great. It's a small zoo but definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Ramses Noriega

It's a safe, restful and peaceful park. The lake is a miracle in the middle of the semi desert. Reid Park Zoo takes our citizens to feel many places in the world through the animals and environment that they represent. Young and old, and different ethnicity don't matter. Thank God for providing us with such a great Park.

Ryan Montgomery

Great value for the money! Awesome exhibits and great education.

Ksenia A

They have done a lot of updates, landscaping, and increased the size of habitats in the last 10 years - great improvements! We hope to see the few habitats that still remain small increased in size as well.

Jesse Horn

A nice little zoo but not the smallest I have been to and not bad on pricing either

Kristena Smutzer

I went to Reid Park Zoo with my son's first grade class. The kids loved it! The zoo was clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly. It is a small zoo, so we were able to get through the whole place with the short time we had for the field trip.

Jess M

Awesome place for kids and adults! They have a bear, elephants, tigers, lions, rhino, otters, lemurs, meerkats, and tons more! My 6 year old and her class had a blast! Great value for the price of admission. We got to pet a snake and watch an armadillo hunt for worms. Very cool place! Will return for sure!

Chris Brainard

Great zoo! This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. Fun atmosphere, lots of animals and exhibits, a kids crafting section with helpful people manning the stations where my son and I made little binoculars... It was a great first visit to the Reid Park Zoo! We will be back, just have to avoid the summer heat...

Laura Brewer

This zoo is not as big as others, but has all the main animals and birds your kiddos look forward to seeing. You can walk this zoo in about two hours, which is perfect for me.

Michael Drifke

When going to Reid park zoo in February. It was over all a good place, but the reason I am not giving this place a 5 star rating is because the pricing of everything including the tickets. But if you have money I definitely recommend this zoo.

david Rea

Enjoyed the morning at the zoo. Great walk. Gets too hot in the afternoon

Maybelle Bowman

It was awesome and fun and had a great time with my children's

Kelcy Carter

Very small and not a lot of animals. Other than that the cafe is really good and they always have activities for the kids

suzy mc lean

II love going zoo with my family . We like look at the animals. Fun swimming park kids can get wet when hot outside. Nice go in the morning.

Lydia Bischoff

Always love this zoo. Well kept, happy animals, friendly staff and volunteers. Go early for the most fun!

Jennifer Roman

Love this zoo! It’s very well kept and they have a large variety of animals! My family always has a great time here! It’s Perfect for children!

Jesse Gutierrez

Great zoo. Loved it sense I was a child. But I feel like more effort is needed. Like attractions, games, safari train or similar, more land!! Things like that of sort.

Felicia Partee

First place that allowed me to use my reciprocal zoo discount for other things beside just getting into the zoo! Awesome

Elizabeth Hicks

We purchased membership to the zoo as it is much more economical. Individual visits can become very costly. We come here at least once a month. It is a great place to walk around. They are working on updating a lot of the animal habitats and working on obtaining more animals as they grow. It is very nice even now, and once they complete their projects will be fantastic. We appreciate the fact that at one point or another you run into docents, staff and animal training at any time in the day. It is a WONDERFUL place to take the kids and, in our case) the grandkids. Highly recommended.

Alyce Robinson

Clean and cute zoo! They have all the big animals you want to see at the zoo. It is pretty small compared with the Phoenix zoo but it is the perfect size to actually be able to walk around with kids. Plus, you cannot beat the price! It is super affordable! The exhibits are large and we'll kept. They are also up close to the animals so you can actually see and interact with the animals. My kids favorites were the bears and the giraffes! We will definitely be going again and probably purchasing a year pass.

Deborah M G Kunze

A beautiful, well kept little zoo. If you have children with very short attention spans, it's great for them as you can do a quick trip around the whole place in about an hour.

Ellen Woodruff

There are a lot of new areas. It was not crowded. Lots of shade and seating. Plenty of parking. If getting food stamps there is a $4:00 discount per person.

Labreesa Murphy

My son's class had a field trip here and we absolutely loved it. It was his first time to a zoo and he had so much fun. I plan on coming back!

Sarah Yeo

Such a pleasant place! Though not very big, it is nicely arranged and well maintained. As some paths were also shaded with trees and there are a number of benches along the paths, it was also great to take a rest during the visit.

Frankie L

Fun zoo! Lots of water fountains to stay hydrated as well!

Banjyus Tucson

I visited about 15 years ago and loved it. I just recently visited and was so disappointed. A lot of the exhibits are empty. Not many animals to see. I wouldn't visit again. Hopefully they can make this zoo nice again somehow.

D L

We went to the "Saturday Summer Nights Music" that they have every week right now from 6-8pm. It was nice! The animals were out, it wasn't as hot outside, & lots of vendors as well as music.

Sarah Y

Such a pleasant place! Though not very big, it is nicely arranged and well maintained. As some paths were also shaded with trees and there are a number of benches along the paths, it was also great to take a rest during the visit.

Shane Way

This is a fun place to take the whole family lots and lots of animals to see a bit pricey if you go once or twice a yr if thats the case its ok but if you go more than that you should get the family package then you get in free for the year as much as you want anyway have fun on the safari hunt lol

Torrin Dufforsmith

This review is focused on the Summer Safari Nights held on Saturdays in summer from 6PM to 8PM. This is a great time to take the kids. They have hands on projects and games for them plus areas with zookeepers providing info and answering questions. Best part is nearly all the animals are out rather than hiding inside as it's cooler at night. I highly recommend you buy your tickets online ahead of time. I cannot stress this enough. They do not allow anyone in until exactly 6PM and the lines are LONG even with tickets. Members are free, but it seems best that you reserve your free ticket online first. Also, parking fills up incredibly fast for these events. Don't even bother pulling into the lot closest to the zoo (unless you have a vehicle using alternative fuel as they do have special spaces for that).

Marie Langevin

It was intimate enough to enjoy without being crowded. Alexandra gave a well informed personal touch to our tour. Diane gave us a close and personal touch to the rhino meeting. All eere very patient with my grandchildren .The Chinese Celebration was beautiful and added to the scenery. The children loved it. We plan on going to zoo again in future trips.

Julian Martinez

My family is very fond of the Reid Park Zoo. The animals are very well cared for, the grounds are pleasant and maintained, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I love the zoo for a nice morning summer walk. We make it a weekly thing with a membership; we always have somewhere to go when feeling stuck in the house. I love our rhino.

Christopher Short

Nice, intimate zoo. Easily accessable

Isaac Revilla

I had so much fun with the family all of the animals were out and active more so than before. Have you visited the zoo lately? Its nice!

Brittini Renee

Love visiting here and will definitely be coming by again! As a nature photographer, I love visiting and capturing the animals.

adam rodriguez

Love the job they are doing this place has changed for the better keep up the great work

Beatriz Quintana

It was great!.. We went in the morning and were out by Noon. Best of it, was watching the elephants playing in the water.

Deirdre Chandler

Attended Annual Zoocson Fundraiser, enjoyed food provided by local restaurants and hearing about making this zoo the 1st to offer choice to animals when it comes to their own habitats.

Consuela Shafer

A great zoo that takes about 2 hours or so to get through. They have an excellent selection of animals and the staff is very kind! The food at the cate seems a little overpriced, but the amount of food is great!

Duffy Elmer

Cute critters! Lions! Elephants! Giant tortoises! Lots of happy animals in a good environment. Some parts of the park are a little well-worn, but the place is good and great for kids and animal lovers.

Kristi Odom

The Asian lanterns were amazing! I don't live in Tucson, my daughter does but Reid Park Zoo is my favorite. I especially love the Elephant and Giraffe enclosures. Thanks for the great experience.

Alan Michael

Nice small zoo, open early, you can experience it all in a morning.

Heidi Little

A nice escape if you live in the city; but a very small zoo with extremely small enclosures. The best enclosure was for the elephants.

David Davis

This is for the Park: This new play ground is fantastic. Musical instruments, climbing ropes and rocks, little medium and large kids all have something to do. Water fountain has dog water bowl that actually works. Many parts are shaded and grass is nice. Lots of benches and parking is closest off of countryclub.

Darcy Damron

Love this zoo, so close to animals and don't have to keep my kid in arms reach all the time

Carol Byron

Beautifully laid out. Active animals in a.m. this early spring. Flowers including tulips. Plenty of seating for elder folk like me. Current sculpture show beautiful even in daylight.

FireWolfGaming Minecraft And More

Good zoo/park good place to have fun and hang out with friends and family there's a gift shop, And A restaurant

Rudy Cavez

good for the kids squirrel monkeys were cool dudes too

Ray Jeyz

It's still so much fun to go & see my favorite animals! I love the atmosphere & the animals are well cared for & given plenty of love by the staff & zoo keepers.

Amanda Opstad

Always a perfect trip at the zoo. Animals are healthy and all the upgraded living quarters are nice. It really is a pleasure and a gift to get to see the animals looking happy!

Carol Smith

Lots of interesting animals. Had fun feeding the giraffes. Lots of peacocks roaming the grounds.

josephine quigley

Lovely zoo. They have a variety of animals here, also offer giraffe feeding. It's the perfect size. We saw every animal in 90 minutes, which was great because it was so hot. Staff is friendly, bathroom was clean. They offer treats for sale, a cool gift shop and a cafe. Didnt try any food except dipping dogs ice cream. Prices at the gift shop were reasonable for a gift shop.

Benjamin Steele

I enjoyed the zoo. It's a smaller zoo but they have a lot of animals to look at. The elephants were fun. It's a good zoo to bring children to.

Azdimondkat Azdiamondkat

The zoo experience is much, much better now. They added more animals bigger spaces to some of the exhibits, added more events. Good job Tucson Zoo

Michael Colon

Perfect place to take the kids, small enough to walk and see everything but a great selection of animals to see. Carousel rides are a fan favorite for my son

Geraldine Franco

It was nice all the animal's were out

Ty Bowles

Clean grounds and a fair amount of shade. There wasn't much going on anywhere. Would have loved a show or demo.

Luke Rogers

Good spacing between restrooms, snack bars, and water misting. That's important if you are going to spend the day walking outside. They even got a few indoor areas with A/C and areas for the kids to play.

kama rotoli

So fun! Easy to see everything, we saw it all in about 2 hours.

Beth Hardesty

Great zoo. Not too big. You can easily walk the mostly shaded paths and see all the exhibits without being exhausted. Lots of exotic animals plus the "regular" zoo animals nicely housed and displayed.

Thomas Tuttobene

Nice zoo, but is lacking in animals. Lots of ducks, but many lonely other animals. Looks like many are in really small habitats.

Bethanie smith

Love this Zoo!! It has all the greatness of the big city zoo's. Its clean, easy to get around and the animals are amazing! Love this zoo!!

Gordon Yates

Great zoo for the whole family. Easy walking and friendly staff

Nolan Dixon

Phenomenal staff and love the later night events when it is warmer seasons. The festival of lights during Christmas. Great location to enjoy the day with family or just a couple hours to gather some things from the Pokemon Go Game.

Morgan Flores

I love taking my girls here. It's always clean, beautiful shady trees and it's not too big where I have to drag my kids from one animal to the next. Plus, there's a cute play area where you can take a break and let your kids run around.

Jessica Maxam

I enjoy coming here with family. Always a fun attraction!

Frances Bruce

Small and easy to get through in a few hours. Went with my child's school and it was perfect for the field trip. They had a special class that they gave to the kids about adaptations. Even brang out real life examples that the kids were super excited about. It was fun for everyone and informational. We had lunch at the park next to it and then the kids played for a bit til we had to go. I think it is perfect for little ones and schools.

Jake Robison

BEST ZOO I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! Amazing animal variety and welfare, plenty of stations to inform you about the animals, nice friendly staff, and sufficient bathrooms! The animals have good sized enclosures, adequate food and hydration, and sometimes a neat little interaction to get closer to the animals. For example, the prairie dogs have little pop up bubbles to let you get in their exhibit. One complaint, I do not think there is enough shade for the guests, it gets hot, like, really hot. Otherwise the best zoo I have ever had the pleasure of visiting!

Melissa Ann

I love this zoo! I have been coming here for 30 years and have made a lot of memories here! My family has a special spot in the zoo that I share with my kids every time we go and we go a lot. They have had field trips and the kids enjoy sharing our spot with their classmates too. The behind the scenes experiences are well worth it- we picked the giraffes!

Benjamin Vaterlaus

Love this gem of a zoo. You can get close to the animals and really enjoy them.

Lequia Beck

Love visiting this zoo and seeing it expand and make the habitats better and better. There are lots of shady mature trees along the walkways, and bathrooms in the farther corners of the parks which is helpful when you have small kids. Bring a water bottle and you'll be able to fill up at the water fountains too.

Alex Jacques

Lots of animals to see, lots of learning, and a lot of fun. The animals seem to have decently sized habitats and they are well cared for. It seems like they're always adding more to the zoo and expanding it, there's been construction every time we went. They also host fun events on occasion. It can get very humid and very hot during the summer months though, so make sure you bring your own water because the food and drink prices are much higher than normal.

Chris Andros

Reid Park Zoo is an amazing zoo, particularly for being so space limited! Perfect experience with kids. We purchased a family membership last fall, which is one of the best values I've ever encountered with 3 boys, aged 2 to 11. They are always improving, and the new squirrel monkeys are awesome!

Stevie Russo

Bit small, easy 2, 2.5 hrs. visit. Happy helpful staff. Memberships at great rates.

Teresa Jackson

Needs more lights in the park. The Pond's really look filthy. Come on let's get that Park looking fantastic put some more lights out there for the evening time make some more paths for us to walk on. That park has been the same set up since I was a kid and now I'm in my sixties. make it more fabulous looking. Parks and are to be beautiful and clean.

Frances Bruce

Heather Thrasher

Always a blast to walk with the kids around the zoo! They act like each time is the first time. There are always so many different things going on all the time. We absolutely love it!

Estevan Puig

Good family fun animal's seem lively and friendly can really tell they are taken care of.

Stacy Payne

Always nice to enjoy the zoo. The feed the giraffe experience is awesome.

Teresa Johnson

This is a lovely zoo to take the family too. It's not as big as most but it differently offers a lot to learn about and see. The giraffe feeding is fun and got to see many of the animals out and playing.

Michael Hogan

Nice, relaxed medium zoo to spend time in the afternoon.

David Garcia

Very impressed with the Health of the animals from the Dart frogs in the conservation learning center to the Elephants & everything in between. We were even talking to the Rhino & he started to interact with us. The Giraffes were eating right in front of us. The flamingos we're swimming & running around interacting. The Otters were swimming and playing.. we saw many naitive animals like black Bird's, sparrows, mallard ducks, humming birds, whip tail lizards & they all joined the party! The staff was Very courteous & helpful. Very reasonable pricing at $10.50 for adults. Well worth it. We had a Great Happy day!

Chris Arnold

This is one of my favorite zoos. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable

Timothy Williams

Very nice park I've been coming too this park since I've was born and now I'm working here and bringing my kid's here and they are going to be growing up themselves.

Jake Robison

It was fun to be able to walk around and see the animals, but some if the animals weren't able to be seen.

Melissa Ann

Joshua Wertenberger

We love going to the Reid Park Zoo and can't wait for the new expansion!

Jonathon Jones

My family and I loved this zoo. It is very small, but the use of space is really efficient. We had a lot of exhibits and the occasional special exhibit (red pandas were so cool). It is very clean and the food is reasonably priced compared to other zoos I have been to.

Maggie Wu

It's a good sized , and the price of the annual price is reasonable. My toddler loves going there and learned to name almost all the animals after a few visits.

M Cascketta

Love this place. I try and go every week to see the new and exciting exhibits.

John Montana

It could have been better if the animals wr out. I understand they need to rest from being out all day.

emoilio is on a roll

all the animals where amxaing and the park was nice and clean , and good bathrooms

Norma Medorio

We should have more variety of animals but also feel sorry on summer times since is too hot

Maury C

Great zoo and we will definitely go visit the zoo again soon.

Stacy Sotak

I have a membership. Walking around the zoo is kind of therapeutic to me. Perfect for either an early morning or mid afternoon stroll. Also the perfect place to take kids!! I don't have any of my own, but it's been a great place to meet up with friends do - entertainment for all!

Caticorn Queen

I took so many pics of the animals! It's a GREAT place to spend family time!

Diane Bohuszewicz

The zoo still rocks! Haven't been in a few years. Great place to take people of all ages. Love the fact that they ask to keep the coins from whatever you purchase, so it can go back to help support the care, etc of the animals.

Sara Gascho

Such a wonderful place. Proud of it's conservation efforts and that it houses rescue animals or animals born in captivity.

Crystal Allen

Had such a great time at the Lantern Festival! Great environment and it was put together very well, I highly suggest it! The zoo on its own is also a lot of fun and they have done expansion to various animal enclosures which it makes it better for viewing and for the animals to live.

Michael Lugo

Awesome place to go every few months or so. The events are usually pretty interesting; Zoo Lights or Howloween, in particular. I would give five stars but it's a pretty small zoo with some lackluster exhibits like an oversized goat exhibit, flamingos and a somewhat disappointing "Temple of Tiny Monkeys".

Audrey Coffman

The zoo is the best, it's our go to place to spend time as a family. We love the walk around the zoo, it's a pleasant amble with enough shade and water fountains to make even hot days possible to spend there. By far our favorite exhibit is the otter and we are so pleased a sun shade was installed as we had suffered the sun to watch our favorite animals. We love the elephant exhibit and are anxiously awaiting the expansions over the next few years.

Braden McGregor

The zoo does a great job of setting up animal enclosures for guests to see them, and in focusing on filling the zoo with animals that can handle the weather better than others.

Patricia Babella

Great place to see animals of all types, cool easy walking...well maintained

frances bruce

Very small. Makes it easy to finish in one day. I went with my kids school, seems like it was made for that. We even had a class about adaptations. Very informational and fun for the kiddos.

Melanie Taylor

Nice small zoo. Easy parking. Lots of fun activities. Wonderful staff.

Frank Carr

This was one of the best zoos I have ever visited. If you follow the paved walkway, it takes you past every exhibit in the zoo. The enclosures are roomy and well maintained for the animals, yet give patrons a close-up experience. Well-informed volunteers stationed at several areas provide interesting details on some of the animals. There are no big hills to climb, and the zoo was very clean with lots of lush trees and vegetation.

steve pol

Very good place to meet nature. I spent over 3 hours there and took plenty of photos. Well maintained and not too big, so most can be seen in half a day.

Jenny Johnson

For $10 entry fee I thought we would be in and out of this zoo in less than 2 hours but there was SO much to see!!!! The animals are active (we came around lunch time) and the enclosures offer amazing views!!! I wish we had more than 2 hours but I had to catch my flight! It was also just before Halloween and there were decorations everywhere which were very well tied in with jokes, puns and a clean sense of humor. I absolutely recommend this to everyone in the area.

Carol Mc Lain

Beautiful day! All the animals were out. Most fun were the Elephants! Got to see them get their treats. Veggies. Definitely go before it's too hot!

traci esposito

Amazing! Way better than most zoos, very up Close and personal to animals. But it’s small. Can do the whole Zoo in under 2 hours. That was perfect for us!

Matty B Thompson

Wonderful spot to take kids and learn about the animals. Very friendly staff, especially great feeding the giraffes!

Michael Leon

Very nice zoo! Lush Giant Anteater habitat. Elephant habitat is huge!

Daniel Ruiz III

Love it!! Havent been here in a long time. It was really nice October in the future morning perfect weather. Very big and and awesome exbits of the animals

Caroline Cushing

Great, small park zoo. All the animals were awake and roaming...late in the day! A very clean zoo, even the water for the animals was clean. Food was better than expected for a zoo!

Darwin Drake

It's a great little zoo. The design is great with plenty of benches and shade throughout. The habitats are never rundown, they do a great job of keeping the facilities looking good.

Donald MacMillan

Great for family fun for a zoo. Enjoyed having fun with my family.
