We offer you all the reviews of real people like you who have information of the products and services of Navajo Zoological Park (Zoo) in Arizona.
To this day the firm has a score of 4.5 over 5 and the rating is based on 252 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is almost the highest, and it is founded on a large number of scores, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is very credible. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Zoo.
It's free closes at 4:30pm but when your kids run around the playground the officials close at 5pm. Great place for the kiddos too.
it is calming place to visit the animals
Nur zu empfehlen. Etwas klein aber alle Tiere und nettes Personal.
It's a really nice zoo even for a small one and it's educational
I took my 8 year ild twins and 12 year old son, they had a great time..Thank you, we go every year..
New additions. Must see to appreciate.
This Zoo was Upgraded..Had a nice visit with the Local Animals. I even played the Native Flute for the Brown Bear and even Danced while I played.

Such a cute and magical place for kids.
It was a great little zoo
It is nearby to where I live and it houses different animals who are rehabilitated and released or raised from being ophan to educate other about local animals and relation to Navajo Nation culture. They even have signs by each exhibit telling of how they are referred to in the Navajo language and tells of their story.
Distract the kids
This was a wonderful surprise when the husband and I traveled to Window Rock. We were early for our event so decided to tour the small zoo...they have a very nice facility and lots of native Arizona animals to view - coyotes, bobcats, elk, big Horn sheep, black bears and golden eagles. They operate on donations so if you go and can afford it, drop a donation (or two) to help support this local zoo!
Nice little zoo, great Eagle habitat. Loved the bear.
Loved it, had fun and it had cultural meaning and history posted with the animals
Fun
Great little zoo. Informational, many wild animals, and it's free!
I used to just drove by this place majority of the time but this time we stopped in kids loved it I enjoyed it.
Had a great time with the family
Please visit our animals & enjoy the scenary.
Fun for children
Awesome upgrades! The aviary is great and they also have a barn owl now.
Our group had a nice time. However needs to have more animals in the zoo.

Self guided walk through, free, great place to take children
Its free and what a nice place to visit.
Nice
Visited this summer. Lots of great things to see.
Fun as always just wish the employees could be a lot more nicer
This is an amazing little zoo and park that was well worth the detour we took from our road trip to see it. They have a wide variety of local animals that were in habitats allowing for close up viewing, well cared for and stocked with a variety of enrichment activities for the animals. This zoo is unique in offering info on both the animal and how they fit into Navajo culture, which we loved! We did find restroom facilities in back near the bears, so don't be fooled by the portable john up near the front! They have a wonderful playground area, plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout park, but we never found any working water fountains, so I would recommend bringing your own water. It was a very safe, clean, open environment, and is always free entry, although they have donation boxes everywhere to allow you to help out!
Took my girlfriend here for the first time .... She loved it.... We plan on sponsoring and Eagle soon ... We took a lil break from fishing just to see this place ... We bought two t-shirts .....Plan on visiting again ..
Remain objective. Sure you have been to better zoos. However, there isn't anything else for hundreds of miles, and they do a great job of providing zoological information. They also provide you with cultural impact each animal has. If the kids have boundless energy, the middle is a playground.
Toy can take pictures inside a hogan
Awesome place.
Was fun that day
Small zoo, but easy to navigate, lots of information. Animals look healthy. Beautiful location and playground for kids too
A must see for children and your date.
It needs imporvmenta still but great for kids.
Love this place. Nice place to take my kids.
Kids and I loved it. It's free and u can eat lunch with the animals . They take donations to help take care of the animals. Loads of fun for family.

My grandchild loves the animals here.
Free to the public and donations are accepted here. I loved this zoo the first time I visited for awhile. Saw all the animals and learned many intriguing facts about the animals that I never knew about. There is a small picnic area. I would recommend visitors to visit this place. Place is awesome for children who love animals and adventure❤
Loved it
Great little place
Kids loved the new playground

Excellent!
Nice animals!
Love it
They had a recent upgrade and now have a really nice park! It's free and I would recommend taking kids here if you need to kill some time
AThe zoo is a fun place to go for all children but especially for my 4 year old. She just loves it there. The animals here are so special in that they no longer are able to live on there own. So our zoo takes them in. It is just a fun place to go. Even for the adults. Also it free for all.
Interesting
My first time going to a zoo :-) its a small zoo but awesome.
This isn't the biggest zoo, but it's still very decent. What other zoo has FOUR eagles? I feel bad that their cage is tiny. I love the pen that has a duck, red ear slider, and a rabbit; it's very quaint and makes me smile. Also, can't beat the price of free! There is a donation box as you enter, toss in a couple of dollars, the animals will appreciate it.
Good place to take your kids
Zoo always closed in fall and winter months, when certain animals, need their rest, I suppose. Otherwise, located right behind the Navajo museum, but very muddy during fall to winter, when it is shut down.
Enjoyed this small facility. Took my sister, on her first tour. She didnt know their was a Zoo located n our nations Capital. NN capital Window Rock, NM.
Small facility with local animals in ecosystem. The eagle barn appears new and maintained. Restroom clean with tissue paper, water, and soap. Some areas complete with side walk, other half is filled with gravel. No charge for entrance but donation excepted at various animal cages. A family can adopt animals in zoo. Great little nook for children.
Nice come look at our Diné (Navajo) Animals
They had a recent upgrade and now have a really nice park! It's free and I would recommend taking kids here if you need to kill some time
Fabulous local Zoo for Native animals.
Small gem of a zoo. Indigenous animals and plants set in grand geological setting. Pack a picnic lunch and bring the kids.
Great place for families, awesome exhibits and all but the wolf were visible when we visited.
Great incite to Diné cultural knowledge and I like that this is a home for animals that are injured or orphaned. A must see attraction when visiting Navajo land!
Very nice
Awesome place. It keeps getting better every year.
Ive never been closer to wild indigenous animals! Cats, bears, and birds...oh my!!!
Zoo
We love seeing the Eagle Sanctuary. So beautiful
Omg
The zoo is nice and clean. It's a very fascinating zoo with information on the animals you see.
I like how the zoo changed so much . A great nature walk..Eagle sanctuary was assume as well
Always great to stop here on our way to grandparents house.
Had an awesome time at the zooboo!!! Tons of fun for the kids!
I'm enjoying my self being there every day
Beautiful, and quiet place
Great displays of local wildlife and structures that tie into the Navajo culture. This is a small zoo. They have native wildlife and foliage displayed. A great find in such a small place!!!
We love the fact that the Great Navajo Nation owns and operates their own zoological park. My family visits every year and we enjoy our visits. The Eagle Sanctuary is magnificent and we love the upgrades. Continued monetary donations are needed to continue the growth and developments for our children and grandchildren to enjoy. Today, I enjoyed taking my 1 year old nephew Robin to the ZooBoo Festival 2018. Great job all around!
Awesome and very peaceful!
Educational and set on a very beautiful landscape. It's a zoo and botanical garden combined. Highly recommend visiting!
Very nice zoo for small town
Small but great information for Free Zoo
It was relly nice zoo and it's for free. I saw there animals that I never saw before and always wanted to see it. The animals have pretty good places just the cage of the brown bear was to little he wasent fell that good
This is a unique little zoo. And its free!
Very clean! Pets look dehydrated though
The zoo is VERY clean and has been upgraded tremendously! Love the experience of bringing my family here while on vacation. I am from here and it was their first time. They loved it and especially loved how closely they could interact with the animals! My husband said this is the best zoo he has ever been to because of that. Definitely recommend for travelers!
I've been here three times this year and it's just the right size. The neat part is all the animals are local to the area and many are rescues. It is free so please give a donation to help keep the animals fed and healthy.
Nice place to stop. The kids loved it. When spring/summertime rolls around we are going back for a visit
AThe zoo is a fun place to go for all children but especially for my 4 year old. She just loves it there. The animals here are so special in that they no longer are able to live on there own. So our zoo takes them in. It is just a fun place to go. Even for the adults. Also it free for all.
Great selection of wildlife to see here. Even better are the signs which showcase their Navajo cultural significance. I learned so much and have a renewed appreciation for each animal's symbolism.
Would recommend a just to this zoo. I see great potential in it. Did see some unbalanced emotions in a couple of animals due to lack of enrichment, which I hope will be remedied. It is free with donations welcomed. Please donate to help the animals you view.
Like it
The animals we're awesome
From 10am to 11am the Nimal were pretty active. The coyotes, wolves, and bears were walking around.
Took my daughter and she loved it ... The bear Abby was my fav
A wonderful collection of native animals found injured or orphaned within the Navajo Nation. The habitats and educational displays are very well done. We took our time and were able to see everything in about an hour. Our son loved seeing the animals up close, and I was happy to see that these animals were receiving regular care and humane treatment. Definitely worth the trip! The visit was free, but we were happy to leave a donation to support their work.
Awesome
This place has changed alot over the years, great place to make it a day with the kids
Great up grading! By adding the eagles sanctuary, and repainting jeep up the great up grades. I go almost every year just to kill time and do a walk through with my family.
A wonderful zoo! Free for everyone with great displays and wonderful views. The descriptions for the displays include both the English and Navajo words for the animals, as well as natural habitats and other cool information. Has a neat building with stories from the region and a restroom.
Great Improvements! Beautiful Park..
All the animals are beautiful and very active. My family and enjoyed ourselves very much.
An amazing experience I shared with my boys...Thank you!
Good it's a start
Very interesting learning about the indigenous animals.
Good place for the kiddos
Very Enjoyable. Free with donation boxes.
I grew up around the area and remembered this neat little zoo as a child. Moved to Pennsylvania and was back for a visit with my family. Our children loved it! Very quiet and enjoyable place. Would definitely visit again.

The scenery is calm and neat. Small zoo, and not much animals.
Happy there's a big playground and the animals are up in the morning
They have a brand new eagle sanctuary! I love to stop by here and walk the park with my family! The facilities are clean and they have a lot of activities for the children even when they are not having any specials for that day. I suggest you stop by on your way to canyon de chelly!
Very fun and Close to home My kids sure do too. Family Time
Great selection of wildlife to see here. Even better are the signs which showcase their Navajo cultural significance. I learned so much and have a renewed appreciation for each animal's symbolism.
What a pleasant visit. Been in AZ 10 years and this was the first time I came to the Zoo. My favorite? The big Bob cats and the Bear!!! The Eagles so majestic. Very very clean and pleasant. This will not be my last visit I assure you!
Great place to visit.
Great place to bring the kids. It has a several animals the kids and animal lovers will love to see. You are up close to the animals too. The zoo also has a great playground area the kids will love. The zoo is free but they do take donations.
Window Rock is the capital of the Navajo Nation and the Navajo Zoological Park is a free must see (donations encouraged). See black bears, cougars, coyotes, elk, deer, eagles, all rescued from around the Navajo Nation.
Very cool. Awesome experience
Would recommend a just to this zoo. I see great potential in it. Did see some unbalanced emotions in a couple of animals due to lack of enrichment, which I hope will be remedied. It is free with donations welcomed. Please donate to help the animals you view.
