REVIEWS OF Wild Animal Safari IN Alabama

Elijah Mosley

What an amazing trip. We were the first group in the morning so the animals were very attentive to our presence. They come right up to the vehicle! The fries in the restraint are delicious, also.

Janette Rosa

Great place for a family outing. The bus driver Jack made it super fun and educational. We loved every minute of it. Buy your tickets online and you will save a bit.

Steven Huskey

A unique experience. I've never had so many zebras, deer, giraffes & water buffalo stick their heads in my car wanting to be fed! Rent one of their vehicles - you don't want to mess up your own car. You WILL be slobbered on!

Haleigh

It was pretty cool riding around feeding the animals. There were many different kinds. Just one thing I would say they could approve on would be some updates..

T. Haynes

The kids loved it. We rode the bus, but we're people in decent cars riding through the park. The animals are very up close and personal. We got one bag of food to feed the animals. One bag seemed to be enough for one child. It wasn't dreadfully hot on the bus in Sept. 2019 like I thought it would be. There should be an awning of some sort for customers to wait on the bus, because that was the hottest moment (waiting in line for the bus).

Candace Cofty

Neat experience, but not worth the price that you pay. I feel like for price you pay the park should have way better up keep.

Brittany Sublett

Outstanding! Great experience. Animals are nice. Bring the whole family for this one!

Jeremy Small

Do yourself a favor and come to this place with an open mind and heart. Buy lots of animal food , the family fun pack is good for up to four people, and rent a van from the park. The vans smell like a farmers floor mats but the Safari animals will lean in the windows. They slobber; bring towels.

WILL WASHINGTON

This is a must if in Atlanta. It’s a little bit of a drive and then off the beaten path but worth the experience. This was our second time going in the last 5 years. Our kids love the interactive zoo and can’t wait to come back and bring friends. Make sure you pay a little extra and rent one of their vans(you will pay for it either way

Chic Harrison

OMG kids loved it. Can you spot it?

Vishal Kakatkar

A great place to watch the African animals in open through a ride bus. I loved the way the animals are being taken care of and the way they are being kept in such a beautiful natural habitat. We can also feed the animals from the Safari ride bus. Restrauant was also spacious but the quality of food was just OK. Otherwise it's a day out experience for the entire family

Gary Roberts

Absolute riot of a time. After going through in a van we did another time in a bus and it actually got better. Very cool setup. Rentals are one time through. Busses leave Evey hour or so. Your vehicle can go through as many times as you can before they close... 1 admission.

Gary Price

This place is an amazing adventure! I have taken family members here numerous times. Drive your own vehicle through the Safari, or rent one of their vehicles. An amazing time driving through well cared for wilderness filled with amazing animals that come right up to your car! Pet a giraffe, get slobbered by a buffalo, laugh at the antics of zebras, deer, and more. Always a great time here. The best part is it's easy to get to, reasonably priced, and has so much to do. A drive through Safari, a walk through zoo, food, souvenirs, and much more. One of my favorite attractions in Georgia!

Larry Force

Loved it. The guide Robert was very much informed about all of the animals. A great asset to the company

Katrina Couch

Great place for kids to visit. Rent a van...just take my word for it. They take great care of the animals and the gift shop is quiet amazing too.

George Hemphill

I like this place it's an experience you have to endure but I must say I went a few years back and it was way better more variety of animals I'm not sure what happened but it's obviously not the same

Richard

Great time with friends or family! A must do if you’re located in the fort Benning area. Pro gamer move is opening up your sunroof around the giraffes.

Travis

Best zoo experience ive had. But it needs more variety of animals.

Tom Stofer

Had an enjoyable visit and got to feed and touch several wonderful animals to include giraffes, camels, and zebras. Marked the safari down one star for two reasons. First, most of the animals are near the park entrance since that is where they know the food will be. Therefore, not so many animals for much of the remaining 3.5 mile journey. Secondly, the price is a little steep. For two of us it was right at $55.00 and that included one senior citizen discount. And we saw and did it all in about two hours.

Beverly King

I took my daughter and her family here on August 31st, 2019. My grandson will be 4 years old in Dec. We had a blast driving through the park! My grandson loved giving the animals their food. We walked through the zoo after driving the safari and had fun watching the animals there. Make sure you stop by the baboon cage. The Male baboons attitude is high energy, not shy, and aggressive. And entertaining. We decided next to take the free bus ride. Our driver (Jack) entertained us the whole way with park and animal information. He kept us laughing the whole time. After we got home my grandson told his mother he wants to go back and feed the animals. So we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this park as great family fun and Jack, for your bus driver.

Ken Walker

Enjoyed. Many animals and vast variety. A bit spoiled from all the handouts. Curious what they might be fed in addition to that. While they have a vast area to roam and run, it is concerning if the habitat is conducive for all. The "Walkabout" section is a bit sad. While it is interesting to see the various species, it's a concern that they are unable to roam and seem to live their life caged...bears, wolves, other exotics. Overall was a good visit and would recommend. Definitely take the parks rental "zebra" vehicles or the bus vs your personal vehicle. You'll be glad you did. Enjoy!

Rachael Rowe

Awesome! Worth every single penny! My family enjoyed this more than the zoo.

Christine R

Loved it... kids had a blast.. being able to get to touch a zebra, buffalo, camel, the list to go on..just amazing... such an awesome experience. Nothing compares to getting to see these animals up close!!

Lisa Evans

They over charged me in the gift shop! I have called and left messages 3 time with no phone calls returned. I would not recommend this as a place to go till they return my phone calls! Sad

Shannon Allen

This place is amazing! I don't think there has ever been a time we all laughed so much. The drive through was longer than expected and MUCH better than other drive-through safaris that we have been to. There were animals pretty much the entire drive and they loved sticking their heads in our van so there never was a dull moment. Thank you for such a wonderful family place!

Kyhesha Hills

Dirty bathrooms. They closed early, but their website states later times. Walked into the ticket/cafe area was greeted with, our kitchen is closed. We were in the process of doing a drive through at 6, when we were met at the gate by an employee who said they close at 6:30 and he was going to lock the gate. Drove 2 hrs and wasted gas and $83 in ticket money. Don't waste your time visiting.

Shane Barwick

It might not be cheap but it is worth it. You have a great time. On the bus or the walk about. Great spot loved it

Matthew Harrison

Went with the family on our reunion. We had 15 and rented one of the vans. We had a blast. I definitely recommend buying some feed and would highly recommend renting a vehicle to ride through. Animals will come right up to you. Be prepared to get slobbered on. Well worth the trip. Our crew had a blast.

Amy Hicks

The best I've ever been in my life. Seriously! Your money is well spent. Feeding animal at your own pace (i would recommend renting their vehicle ) i think i had more fun and excitement than my 4 yr. Old grandson. Lion's were in huge cages, all the other animals were running free with all eagerness to be fed! they come right into your car window, easy to pet them as well. Exciting! Adventurous! Educational! Fun all in one trip. Feel free to take your time also, as there is not really a time limit.

Ariana's Awesomeness

This place is so fun!!! You get to see and touch the animals and feed them!!! The bus ride was fun and Jack would teach kids about the animals and tell jokes!!! I really reccomend that people go there!!!

Keven Diaz

Me my wife and our two kids had soo much fun !!!was kind of scary when big animals approach our car but was soo much fun the kids loved it.....and def agree on restroom could be better but overall its a great family place....Def recommend you will have a good time

Mike Greenawalt

Good fun! Lots of cheeky animals looking for a handout. The bus tour was great!

M.S. Randhawa

A unique experience in close interaction with vast variety of animals. Enjoyed to the maximum extent

Jared Abig

Me and my fiance really enjoyed animal safari. The baby giraffe was awesome. Watching her scream and laugh while riding through the drive through made it worth it. We will be going back.

Anahi Soto

Awesome experience, kids enjoyed the whole drive. We bought animal food(5dlls per small bag) I believe the more you buy you get a discount. We actually went around twice because two baggies weren't enough to feed half way through the path. These animals are so smart they are literally waiting to be fed. Be prepared to have drool on the inside and outside of your vehicle. Take Clorox wipes for clean up... Some of the animals have long horns, so yes did bang our car and even moved our side mirrors a bit, not a big deal but be cautious because some of them don't move or move super slowly. They do have car rentals for 25dlls I believe, that might be an option if you don't want any sort of damage to your vehicle. I RECOMMEND BUYING TICKETS ONLINE a day before, you save about 10dlls, which come to think of it is two baggies of food. I would go back in a heartbeat, family friendly and the experience is awesome. The walk about is small yet has a variety of animals as well. Take a few quarters to feed some of the animals, kids fed the goats and peacocks. It won't disappoint, totally worth the ride.

Melissa Sentell

I LOVE the baby giraffe and baby pigs!!! They are precious! Definitely rent the van, it's worth it. Get there when they open if you want to feed the animals bc they get full pretty quick. Animals are a little skinny and poop could be cleaned up more often. I've been twice with my kids when they were little and when they were teens and both times they loved it.

Naomi m

My boys, their dad and I had a BLAST! We went around three times, with a lunch break after the second go-round, and each time was a different experience. The animals are in well shape.

Jay Darcy

Fun, unique experience, but some frustrations with inefficiencies keep me from giving it 5 stars. The good: my 4 year-old son loved feeding the animals, who were all docile and came right up to our car. That was neat, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, too. The bad: I bought our tickets online ahead of time, but when we got to the entrance, they turned us away, saying I had to go to the ticket office to exchange my online tickets for paper tickets. So, we had to drive around for 10 minutes looking for a parking spot. Then, when I got to the ticket office, there was a huge line. I asked if there was a separate "will call" line for those who had already purchased their tickets, but they said no. I had to go through the same long line! I was hoping buying tickets ahead of time would save time, but it just made the process much longer! So frustrating. I also found the driving portion of the zoo to be too long. You see all the same animals in the first half of the tour, and I would've loved to shorten the drive, but there's no easy way to pass the other cars. Good experience, but the company would definitely benefit from some process reviews.

Aimee Caldwell Nichols

This was our first time and definitely not our last! We had a wonderful time!! Couple tips we learned today: *The earlier the better. We took the bus tour before lunch and the animals were all over the place! Ready to eat!! We rented a car after lunch and they were not as interested. *Dont drive your own vehicle. Just don't. Might save a few dollars, but the animals are really REALLY friendly. When we drive the van through there was slobber and food crumbs all over the side. It's just part of the fun-but you dont want to call your insurance company with "see there was this Zebra...." *Lastly- definitely buy plenty of food. Most people were running out at the beginning of the tour and the animals toward the end were not getting any. The only things I would suggest for the park is clearer directions in where to go and what to do, and a shaded place for the bus stop wait would be fantastic. Otherwise -thank you for the wonderful time!! ❤ Hope this helps!!

Edgar Worthey

Fun for the whole family! Took my adult children, since they wanted to go because we took them when they were kids! I suggest you rent one of their vehicles to drive through the park if you dont want your personal vehicle scratched up! Highly recommend this place!

Jared Ellsworth

Incredible experience. From what I remember you can either take your own vehicle, rent a van, or go in a bus as a tour sort of thing. We went in our own vehicle and the animals came right up to us! Even the giraffes which was incredible. They are hilarious and will put their heads inside your car trying to get food if you don't watch them. Amazing experience though and so fun; I have been about 4 times now and love any excuse to get to go. Would definitely recommend for animal lovers, although as a warning you will probably get a good deal of slobber on you and your vehicle.

Kelly Mongiello

We loved it. Go during the week, there is no pressure. Don't go during holiday weeks, again no pressure. We went in afternoon, did the self drive first. Buy the food, it's the reason to go. Did the walkabout 2nd. Loved the baby giraffe. Did a 2nd turn on the drive thru. We went Oct 8, parents beware, 5 p.m.ish is mating time for elk and turtles. Amazing. I would give it a 6.

Margo Roberts

This place is so much fun. The whole family loved the drive thru and being able to feed and pet the animals. Fair warning though you need to rent one of their vans because you may get a scratched car if you take your own.

Phaedra Lewis

Amazing!!! We loved it. We came here as a family when i was little. Im 39 now and me and sisters all have kids now. So it was a great experience for us and the kids. My parents enjoyed it too!!

Alyssa Foskey

Fun for everyone! Jack (our knowledgeable and fun tour guide) made the experience better. Ask for Jack and for extra jokes! My hubby and I along with our 1 yr old and 5 yr old had a HOT blast. I do advise you to ask questions if you have them - I assumed we’d leave to tour as soon as a bus filled up. Nope - they have a bus schedule (full or empty)

BrandinShara Mayberry

We really enjoyed this place. The drive wasn't bad either. Thankfully it did not rain. You have the option to ride a bus through the park, rent a van for $25 and drive it through the park or drive your own vehicle through the park. You can do this as much as you would like which is cool. We chose to ride the bus. Our first ride through the park was the best. It was earlier in the day so the animals were very active. The second time we went thru was later in the afternoon and the animals seemed to be in chill mode and doing their own thing. The walk thru section was fun. The baby giraffe was so cute, we were able to pet him. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Trent Bernard

The Wild Animal Safari is an experience like no other. The animals are so curious and friendly and they just want a snack! Lol Truly a unique place for all ages you’ve got to see for yourself.

George Bell

Most enjoyable family activity ever... no phones or electronics are even a thought of. Staff is helpful. Word of warning though, double the amount of food you think you'll need!!!

Silvermoon Raccoon

Fantastic place! A super exciting adventure for animal lovers! wild animal safari, tucked away in the middle of nowhere in pine mountain Georgia, makes for a wonderful outing for fans have animals who want to get up close and walk on the wild side. This place makes for a great day trip and fun for friends, family, or even a date! This place truly is what it says. It's a drive-thru animal safari that wines around for seven miles and a serengeti like planes atmosphere that is reminiscent of scenes in Africa. You'll experience: Buffalo, steers, gazelle, zebra, Zedonks, figs, deer, and even elk as they all come up to your vehicle and pleading for food (pellets that you can purchase from the gift shop at the beginning of your tour). It's $25 per ticket for adults and $25 additionally Torino vehicle. I highly suggest that you rent a vehicle so yours doesn't get damaged by the horns of the bulls or the pushy steers that slam into your vehicle fighting over the pellets. Sony's animals will get aggressive and even jam their entire head in your open window. We watched is one strong bull was able to lift a vehicle off of the ground by raising a head that had plunged through the halfless driver's window! Rent a vehicle. You have been warned!! In addition to the Safari tour, you can visit something called the "Walk about". this is a traditional zoo area that you walk around that allows you to see other more feisty caged animals such as: Mama said, monkeys, baboons, tigers, ocelots, various goats, tortoises, and many more. in addition to this they also have a reptile house as well that oddly holds one loan very depressed looking sloth :( I highly recommend wild animal Safari. Me and my wife visit once every 3 to 5 years just because the place holds so many deer memories to us. Go with family or friends but don't forget the hand sanitizer! Be sure to buy enough feed. The feet I bought was the four pack for $14.95 and it only asked it for 1/4 of my journey through the tour! So if you're going to go, go big and be sure to have fun. :)

Dan Morrow

We drove our old Jeep through the Wild Animal Safari and had a great time. If the thought of bison spit coating the outside of your car bothers you, you can also rent one of their vehicles to drive through. Regardless it is a great idea to make at least one loop on the bus to learn about the park and animals. The walk through area is also fun and educational. This is a great place that your kids will never forget!

Stacie R

Enjoyed feeding the animals and the safari type feel. Beautiful giraffes and liger!!

Leroy Mathews

I Had lunch at the Oyster House up the road then came here randomly with friends. I haven't been since I was a little kid. We rented a van and drove through. We had a good time. Be sure to get food to feed the animals and you will definitely enjoy yourself!

LaShawnda Rollins

Way worth the price! We had a ball. We took our own vehicle in. If you don't want the animals all over you DO NOT take any food into the drive-thru with you! They still like to walk up and try to stick their heads in the windows but all you have to do is shoo them away and keep driving, slowly. We also pushed our outside mirrors in. The van in front of us had theirs broke off. Yikes!

Jessica Chandler

The ride and driver were fun. Lots to see and do. Plenty of food options and items to choose from in the souvenir shop. The experience was pretty expensive, especially when it doesn't even come with one bag of food per person like some places. The animals seemed well taken care of and had plenty of free range room to roam except for the walk about animals that needed a larger habitat. Over all, it was a fun trip but because of the cost our family will not do it again. 2 adults and a 3 year old plus only one bag of food for us to share cost around $80.

Monty Gatson

It was very exciting. My first time seeing these animals up close. We are definitely coming back. Didn't get 5 stars because coming through the walk around we were the only ones asked for a receipt. Let's just say all the others weren't as tan as we are!

jt fagundes

As a local, I have grown up going to this zoo and drive through. I have always loved the up close and personal experience with the animals. If you are hesitant of slobber getting all over your car, rent a van. Other than that, this place is so much fun and visit it every time I am able.

Larry Hunt

It was so much fun it was a blast. The animals are just fantastic they come right up to your vehicle and want to be fed but not aggressive or mean. We would go there again for sure :-)

Samantha Jackson

This was a super fun experience for us! We did the tour bus with Jack, who was very cheesy with his jokes, but absolutely entertaining and informative - we thoroughly enjoyed him as our tour guide and bus driver. I looked at reviews prior to coming so I knew to buy plenty of food - and you should! We got to feed almost every animal. The walk through is also pretty neat. As much as we loved the tour bus ride, I do wish we would have rented a van, only because we would be able to spend more time with certain animals to feed and wouldn’t be so loud (we had a packed bus). Highly recommend! I also recommend bringing a hand towel and hand sanitizer!

Jennifer Musgrove

This place was amazing. My boyfriend took me for a day trip!! They let you drive your own vehicle or rent one of theres. The animals were so beautiful and friendly. Great for kids!! Don’t forget ur slobber rag!

Kevin Berkner

Wonderful place to take children to see animals of all kinds. Can rent one of their zebra colored vans and drive through the entire park, feeding the animals as you go. A fantastic family experience! We absolutely loved it. It's a full day of fun!

Cora Giddeon

It was as if the African safari was brought to Georgia it was an amazing experience for all ages. My family and I had a blast yes we will be going BACK!

Monika Johnson

This was a wonderful experience for me and my family. They had giraffes, deer, zebra, water buffalo, camels, and many many other animals. You drive around the park and feed the animals (you buy the feed when you buy your tickets). I do recommend renting one of the park's vans to drive through because the animals will be right up on your car. Some of the vans also have bars on the windows to keep the animals from sticking their entire heads in the vehicle. Also save your food because the road through there is much longer than you think it is going to be and there are loads of animals throughout. They have the road marked 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 complete too so you can judge how far through you are. They have a great gift shop, a walkthrough park to feed/pet the animals, and a counter to get ice cream/pretzels and other things. Overall I had a great experience and I am pretty sure I had a better time than the kids did!

Nehal Omar

Wonderful place to bring family and kids. They have a small zoo and an animal safari. You can rent their car or drive your own car (prefer to rent their Car because animals might leave dent/scratches) You should buy the food from the shop because it is the only way to attract the animals. They have Zebra, Giraffe, goats, bison, cow, Buffalo, pigs, ostrich, deers, black buck etc etc.... Overall, it is a worth place to spend 2-3 hours with family.

Sarah Cato

My family absolutely loved this place. We had a blast. We did the drive thru part twice one in the bus and the second time in our own vehicle. We also did the walk thru part twice. It's definitely worth it. Take your whole family. Our favorite part was getting to feed the animals so up close. Would recommend 10/10

Breanna Kimbrel

The animals in the walk along look miserable. The cages that they are in are way to small and some don’t even have a partner in there with them. A bus driver also ran over one of the animals foot and wasn’t even worried about it, he said that it’s okay he’s fine, it happens all the time. The employees that we had to deal with were rude also. I will never go back to this place. I honestly wish I didn’t even have to give this place one star to put a review!!!

J Fuller

Very nice adventure. Lots of animals to feed. Great customer service. Beautiful landscaping. My kids thought it was amazing.. You will not be disappointed. Rent their van. You will thank me later. They have a walk through part that's pretty cool too

LaShonda Jenkins

We go here every year during our family vacation. Lot of fun renting a van and be sure to bring towels for the drool.

Timothy Dye

Wild animals that will get close to you, but do remember that they ARE wild and could panic if you do anything other than feed them. Please only feed them what the park sells for that purpose. I advise you to use the vehicles that are supplied by the Safari for a nominal fee. And please drive slowly and carefully through the safari. Watch for smaller animals that might chase dropped food under the vehicles.

T Rice

I grew up around here as a kid and took my wife to visit for her first time! We absolutely love it!

Waylon Franks

The wild animal Safari in pine mountain was awesome! We went in a large group for my son's birthday and everyone even the grown ups had a blast! It was raining and it was still fun the animals still came right up to the bus. The tour guide was great as well, he even stopped the bus to coax the giraffes over so we could feed them by hand! It was amazing! I can not recommend this place enough, we will definitely be going back!

P. Stokes

The kids had fun. It was interesting. The main issue was the flies. They have a eatery and the flies were worse inside the eatery than outside. There were so many flies on the floor. I've never seen that before. Suggested lack of cleanliness. I was glad we brought our own food. I wouldn't have eaten in that place for nothing. The staff wasn't the nicest.

shawn heimerl

Very cool place. A bit on the spendy side, especially for a family, but well worth it. Do yourself a favor though and drive on if their vehicles.

Angie M

What an amazing experience for the entire family! We got some personal pizzas (which were actually delicious) and drive our car through it and it was so much fun! Took us about an hour to drive through the entire thing. Definitely worth the drive!

REX ELDRIDGE

This is our family’s all time favorite. You can tell that animals are allowed to just be animals here and that they are safe. Doing what they normally would do in the wild. I really with I was rich I’d buy them more land so the owners could run more places just like this one. It’s not easy to come up with the funds for this type of opportunity for animals. If I was an animal I’d wanna live here. We always bring our family from out of state here. It’s is a must on our “to do” list when showing off the beautiful state of Ga. most animals here to my understanding have been born here. That says if animals have felt this place is good enough to have a family here I wanna bring mine as much as possible. The feeding the animals drive is so amazing. The little pigs running after each vehicle. It’s just so awesome to see a giraffe up close and they are all the sweetest animals ever. Slobbering and all! I am an animal lover and If any place is worthy of all the stars ⭐️’s it’s this place. All animals are content and have their own personalities. Watch out for the baboon he is very protective of his lady friends. So don’t talk to her or he will get upset. Lol I’m sure it’s how they are in the wild also. My favorite has always been the bears. They have been in a zoo or circus situation before this I’m sure of it. But sadly over the years I have seen my favorite parts pass on. They finally had a place to just be, and not be forced by electric shock to be a performance act. I realized when my daughter who is now in her late 20’s was little that the bears had to have been in some act of sorts, because my daughter at the time was 6 and tossing a fit. I told her “Up UP” and the bear stood up on his or her hind legs rt away. Lol they quickly became my favorite. I felt bad that I didn’t have some sort of a reward to give the bear as he or she listens better than my 6 year old. Lol. Also got my 6 year old to get up faster than she ever did in the middle of pitching a fit. She saw the beautiful bear doing what she was told and stood up to see also. I was telling the bear what a good bear it was. My daughter asked why it did that. I said because I guess it wants to listen, and show you what to do. Not exactly the truth, but it helped me for a few days.

Whitney Shaffer

Great family outing option. Be sure to buy lots of food to feed the animals, to get the full experience. I have ridden the bus before and the seats are very close together and not very comfortable, so a drive through in our own car was much more enjoyable, especially when you have to contain multiple kids. After the drive through the kids can take a walk through a petting zoo type area. Only takes a couple of hours and the kids have a great time!

William Regan

The experience was great. My son absolutely loved the interaction with the animals. The only unpleasant part was the food. It was tasteless and poorly prepared. My burger was a hockey puck and there were enough fries on my plate for two bites. We paid a little more for the collector squirt bottles, which stated "free refills." When we went to get our free refill, we were told to wait at the back of the 30-35 minute line for a refill. What a joke. Of course, I just stood there until someone else came by and refilled my drink. Let's step into the 21st century and put out drink machine where our customers can refill their own cup, eh?

Michael Sims

My wife and I took four of our grandchildren. Ages 2, twins 9 and a 12 year old. We all had a great time. We took the bus through the park. The driver did a great job of narration and he gave us plenty of time at each group of animals especially the giraffes. They were our favorite. Seeing the baby giraffe was cool too. The park was full but that was expected on a hot summer Saturday. This was a great day trip for us all.

FiT FaM

This place is awesome! I loved being able to touch and feed the giraffes up close! The zebras were beautiful too! So many animals! Kids had fun! I recommend bringing towels to wipe your hands down as they can get slobbery wet and dirty!

J Strah

I took my 1 and 2 year old. We drove through in our own car and loved it! The animals came right up to the car, my 1 year old had a blast, petting the different animals. My favorite was the zebras! They were surprisingly friendly. I was very cautious at first but the zebras actually wanted me to scratch their Mohawks. Lol. One stuck his whole head in my car so that I could reach farther to give him scratches. I though for sure he was going to nibble at me but he just tilted his head and enjoyed the lovin'

Lucas Shaffer

We took our family and drove our car through the safari and it was fantastic. All the animals looked happy and enjoyed eating right out of my hands. The giraffe was my favorite. Make sure you are ok with slobber, horns scraping your car, or small nibbles on your hand when you take your own car. There is an option for renting a van/bus and drive on your own. We will be back!

Blesson Thomas

Good experience Buy around 4-5 bags of food. There are many animals. Also just don’t feed all the food within 5min of your trip. Bus tour will take about 45min-1hr

RJ Egnor

Fantastic experience for the little kids! They really enjoyed getting up close and personal with the animals.

Darneitta Jones

Beautiful live animals that you could see and touch but prepare to be slobbered on

Ashley Kendrick

Loved every moment of this park. Family fun and handicap accessible!! Everyone enjoyed this in our family group.

Lorena villalta

We loved the place! We especially loved how we had the bus to ourselves and were able to move around and see all the animals.

Norman Webb

I had a good time here but they need water fountains at this place to hot not to have them

We visited on 5/12 and rode the bus at 4:00pm Jack was our driver and he is amazing!! We considered just renting a van, but we are so glad that we decided to take the bus. Jack is very knowledgeable, friendly, and he’s got jokes!! He drove at a great pace, and the ride was perfect. Tayler is the one that sold us the tickets, and she was very kind!! Thank you!

Joey Gibson

This place is amazing. My two year son had a blast. My wife and I also had tons of fun. The animals are super friendly and come right up to your car. We did rent a van. I very thankful I didn't drive my personal vehicle into the park. The animals could do some damage pretty quick. We purchased 4 bags of food and and just a little left over at the end. The walk about was excellent as well. The baby giraffe was my personal favorite. The only thing that would have improved our visit is if the staff would have been a little more friendly. The person that sold us our tickets was not very interactive at all. She was almost like a robot. We will most definitely return.

Yvonne Beattie

The safari was a great experience! The reason for 2 stars would be the “walk about” portion of the experience. The animals habitats were filthy, the food in the bowls were covered with flies, no enrichment, the baboons were longing for attention. Let me mention the sad lions out in the middle of the safari, in a small chain link fenced enclosure with just a wooden platform and very overgrown grass! Overall the animals looked very depressed and bored. The safari is there main money maker, they should donate the walk about animals and the safari lions to other zoos where they can get the care and attention that is needed and deserved!

Tonya Dispain

Love going to this place. We always take the bus so we can all enjoy the safari. Sometimes the giraffe will stick their heads in the bus. Be sure to be on the first bus out. The animals are most active in the morning. They have bus and RV parking in overflow lot.

Brenda Barmore

This was fun. If you've never been around large animals, its very cool to get this close to them. You can hand feed some although a few do bite so they recommend tossing the food away from your vehicle. Rental vehicles are a available and I would recommend one. Its cheaper than an insurance claim. Bring you camera and prepare for lots of laughter. Young children maybe frightened but they can scoot to the middle of the vehicle and be perfectly fine.

Desstiny Davis

This was absolutely the best birthday experience ever. I really enjoyed looking at the beautiful peacocks. The giraffes were the best to me as well because that's all i really wanted to see. I was not expecting to see so many animals. I fed all of them ( well tried) but the scenery was eye catching. I felt like I wasn't in Georgia. Just BEAUTIFUL!

Boom Media

So incredibly fun! The kids had a great time as well as the adults. DEFINITELY rent one of their vans ($25). We had the big 50lb bag of food and barely had anything left at the end. My only complaint is the people behind us not wanting to take their time as we did. Fun family adventure

Maxene Boland

My grandchildren had a great time at the park. They enjoyed seeing and feeding the animals. It's a great place for seeing wild animals roaming free.

scott maus

We loved it!!! So much fun. Definitely rent a van, it's the way to go.

Khalilah McKinney

I had so much fun. It was one of the best times I have had in the city of Atlanta and I have been here almost 10 years!!!

James Bean

A must do. Buy the 50 lb bag of food and rent their vehicles. Have a camera ready. Lots of laughs are coming

Heather Welch

Lots of fun for the family. Lots to see and do. My kids loved it!

Steven Mooney

It was much better than I expected. They have lots of animals and they all look really well taken care of. The animals looked to be in much better condition than at many zoos that we've visited. My daughter had lots of fun getting to see and feed so many animals. And there was a baby giraffe that was just born a couple of months ago. He was super friendly and playful and even leaned in for pets. Very cool. Make sure to rent a van to take the tour. The animals know you have food and your vehicle will be scratched/dented before it's all over. The rates are very reasonable, both for the van rental and admission. They're as clean as can be expected, but don't expect the windowless slobber-mobiles to be spotless. And take the staff's advice on how much food to buy. We cheaped out and didn't get the recommended amount and ran out halfway through. The cashier's recommendation would have been just about the perfect amount. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely stop back by. It was a great experience.

Mary Lynn

Crazy fun! The animals come right up to your car and stick their heads in the windows. They will even block the road in order to get you to feed them. Tons of fun. I highly recommend. I went with my kids but even without kids it would be fun.

Kathy Major

Up close and very personal with the animals. I would definitely recommend renting one of their vehicle it was a great experience. the grandkids loved it . for all ages. correctly named Wild animals. Also save your food we kind of got threw ours out at the very beginning. Never laughed so hard.

Alina Gomez

It was my first time visiting this safari. This place exceeded my expectations. I loved how the staff were friendly and informative. I love how it is for all ages! Very fun atmosphere!

Ashley Burkett

This was an amazing experience! I’ll be back annually with my children, maybe more often. The French fries in the restaurant are delicious. The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest, but can’t everything be perfect!!!! The tour bus was super cool and the driver gave great info on the animals as they approached us. Beautiful experience.

David Brady

Great experience for the whole family, I can't remember the last thing we enjoyed so much!

Maria Jiram

Jack, our tour guide, was funny, passionate about animals, and very welcoming. We had a group of 35 and everyone had an amazing time.

Candice Huff

Our whole family loves coming to the safari! From age 2-65, everybody has a great time!

Y. Burton

Awesome!! They animals come straight to the car. Be prepared to get slobbed down...lol

Brian Panui

Been here a couple times. Enjoy it reach time we come. Very kid friendly. Rent the van to drive through at your own pace to enjoy the animals and feed them l. Don't drive your personal car through you won't enjoy it as much.

Jiny's Multi-Services

Love love love the experience and especially the giraffes and definitely will be coming back God willing.. Must go if you in Atlanta

Nanna Moates

A great day. Self paced so that everyone can really look at the animals. The animal food was a good amount for the money. Lasted through both the car safari and the walk. Three generations of us all had a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back.

Lora Beck

Loved driving through with the animals and the petting zoo part watching my grandson was so awesome

Carla Sessions

Truly a unique experience to get up close to these animals. It is a little intimidating with large animals with big teeth and lots of slobber coming up, but they are all gentle and just want some goodies. We rented the van for an extra $25 instead of riding the bus. I enjoyed doing it at our own pace. We also bought 4 bags of treats for 2 people to hand out, and we used every bit. I do not recommend taking your own vehicIe in, unless its already old and a little beat up. We had a great time!

Brittany B

I'm only giving them a 3 because of the safari area. We loved getting to feed the animals on the safari! Very fun and great to get so close to animals that you normally wouldn't be able to. I was distraught, however, by the caged animals. The alligator's enclosure was tiny and the water was completely green. The baboon enclosure was also very small and they seemed extremely unhappy. The bears looked miserable. Their enclosure was extremely small and infested with weeds, as was the wolf enclosure. It was just depressing to walk around that area and to see animals in such poor conditions. The Lion and Liger enclosure was obviously too small for animals that large and weeds were seen throughout. They should just stick with the safari area and let the caged animals go to a sanctuary or zoo. They would be a lot happier.

Marlon Spencer

Its a adventure for my 2 & 5 years old kids. They asked Daddy can we come back tomorrow this was fun.

Brian Hallock

We had a great day enjoying seeing all the animals

C M

This place is absolutely amazing! Especially if you are an animal lover. Far better than I ever expected. Make sure you rent their van. The animals jump! I am so happy to have had this experience to get up close to these kinds of wild animals. Go early in the morning when they are hungry! We went in the rain and it didn’t stop the animals. They were active the whole time. Definitely worth the money. Took us about an hour to do the drive through. Bucket list item checked off!

Rosemary Wright

Oodles of animals! They come right up to the vehicle. Some are pretty aggressive. Divide your animal feed out because it's quite a long loop back to the entrance. I would not suggest using your POV. Rent their vans, it's worth it! The zoo part is full of other animals. Neat place!

Ajay Sharma

Had a very good experience on the Safari. One should buy the animal food to enjoy the tour as the animals would come to the vehicle and you can feed them with your hands...

Susie Mo

So much fun! This I would do again. The animals come right to the car. Don't hand feed the ostriches- they pinch.... Just throw the food on the ground for them. All the other critters were so gentle. The giraffes and buffalos do slobber a lot! Take a hand towel for slobber and a pack of wet wipes. I went with a friend. With the senior discount we paid 53.00 each to rent a van, buy 8 bags of food and pay admission. Well worth it!!! I can't wait to return. I would highly recommend renting one of the parks vehicles... They have cars, minivans and large vans. The vehicles are in rough shape and dirty but, you will see the value of renting when you see how rough the park road is. The windows have bars on them that keeps the critters from putting their entire head through the window. Unless you want to be covered in slobber rent the park vehicle. Well worth it. We had a great time. Didn't care for the walk about. The goats were fun but it felt kind sad seeing the critters locked up after seeing the free roaming critters. Maybe do that part first? If you enjoy critters up close you will have a great time. Do buy food... That really makes the visit great. The zibras will come up to the window and hold their mouths open for you to put food in. We went the end of September and it was still very hot. Next time I want to go in October.

Latrice Garvins

Took my girls here over the summer as I had not been in about 15 years . They had a blast!

Michael Hardy

Absolutely amazing! Our granddaughters loved it! Worth going back!

Kristina Ilina

It was awesome! Now I’m in love with this place! Animals are not over fed and everything was very interesting. I liked the tour on the bus. And animals are so cute!

Kemi Griffin

Such a priceless experience! Every single time we go, we have an AMAZING TIME. The kids love it. It's great for All ages.

Linda Smith

It was awesome. The animals were so active. We rented a van it was clean. We bought food to feed the animals. The kids age 16, 14, 12, and 6 and 3 adults enjoyed the trip and the walk through zoo was great also. Well worth the trip and money !

Jennifer Jackson

I was a zookeeper for years, so my standards are admittedly high. I wasn't a fan of this place. The safari animals have it pretty good. But the walk-through area is disturbing. The primates are all kept in enclosures that are way too small and have zero enrichment. All accredited zoos (this one is not AZA accredited) are required to give primates enrichment. They even had primates in tiny enclosures in the shack of a reptile house (which, by the way, was filthy). Not acceptable. The large cat enclosures are also way too small. I'd recommend they keep the safari hoofstock and find better institutions for the rest. Also ridiculous that they charge for information sheets. It's a zoo, the entire purpose is to educate people about animals. For the ticket price they should be offering free information, signs about every animal, and education programs.

James Decker

Had a wonderful experience at the Wild Animal Safari. With the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus. The bus driver was helpful and knowledgeable. The children were delighted with their adventure. The animals were accommodating and friendly. A fond memory. Thank you

anna turner

Absolutely wonderful experience! Beautiful setting and an amazing variety of animals. The animals were obviously well taken care of and had no fear of humans. Highly recommend.

Deborah Young

Wild Animal Safari was most memorableable. Even as seniors, we enjoyed seeing animals we have never seen before except for on television. The bison, rams, and camels were amazing to see how huge they are in real life. And the ostriches... Oh my goodness. We would recommend everyone going atleast once. It is not just for children! D Young

Jaclyn Tabares

Experience of a lifetime. Make sure you buy the biggest bag of food or else you will run out before you get to the end! I rated 4/5 because the carnivorous animals are in very small enclosures, much too small for the space they need in my opinion.

Heather Meredith

MY experience was overall good. The tour bus driver Jack was hilarious, and he made the tour a blast! I'd highly recommend taking the bus. I'm glad I got to feed the giraffes and other cool herd animals. The place lost 2 stars in my book for the walk about animal enclosures and lion enclosure in the herd area. The cages are not adequately sized and there is little to no mental stimulation available. One pair of macaws didn't have a single toy and they resorted to plucking themselves, or each other, out of boredom. I have my own parrot so my heart goes out to those intelligent beauties. Macaw toys are cheap 20-50 bucks. It was a really sad part, and the animals could still be viewable with upgraded enclosures. Very intelligent animals in small room sized cages with no mental stimulation. Baboons, bears, tigers, and monkeys. The bathroom stalls needed 6 more inches in length, I'm a tiny 5'1 lady and felt like I couldn't even half stand to wipe in that stall.

Jono Long

We had a great time. Lots of Buffalo and deer. Kids had fun feeding them. Well run and animals seemed cared for.

LaTonya Davis

The Safari was cool. We encounter some animals that were really unique. It was awesome. The food at the cafe was not as good as I thought it would be, but other then that we had a great time.

Erica Daniel

Very nice saifari. Only thing i would say staff wasnt that friendly. There arent any water fountain on the premises and they charge a lot for the Safire. Charge 50cents for ice and 2$ for water you need to bring your own water.

Amanda Harrison

We have been going their on field Trips every year and have never paid for teachers to feed the animals! Today we had 50 children and 5 teachers and they wouldn’t give the teachers good to feed the animals. Then said, “ well you can go pay for the past 4 years that you haven’t paid for the food.” I have never been treated rude on a field trip before. Previous years have been a blast!

Candace Harris

It was so exciting to see the wild animals in their habitat .We also got to feed them it was awesome!

Jessie Killgo

We had so much fun here! We took our car and the kids (5&2) sat in the front and on the center console. We cannot wait to go back!

Janna Rolfe

This was an AMAZING Safari! We went here the morning of Thanksgiving Day and had such a great time. I've never seen so many wild animals up so close. We loved feeding everyone that came up to the car. We drove through several times and just loved it.

brz ghost

a very good place to be with the family interact with a lot of animals and children are fascinated it is not very expensive to buy enough food

Vipin v nair

Great place for spending a day. Make sure you rent a van instead of taking your own vehicle. Animals are really hungry and don't want dents on your vehicle.

michelle powell

It was a nice experience, but wasn't what i expected. When one hear the word "safari' a ton of animals come to mind.. There wasn't a large variety of animals to me. All we really seen were about 4-6 animals the entire ride. Feeding a giraffe was pretty cool. The walk about was short and boring. It lacks so much. The animals were still like statues. Definitely can use some renovating. I would totally choose Zoo Atlanta over the safari. Glad I'm able to say i went, but i don't ever see myself returning.

Kh Bowman

Another place we had to visit twice on our Pine Mountain journey! Everything from a drive thru safari with tons of animals to a small zoo. You can drive your own vehicle through the safari or rent a safari van. I have an older truck so I was fine with driving through but if you are concerned about possible scratches, which can happen, the van would be the way to go. We were lucky in that a baby giraffe, Tumbleweed, which had been born on February 22, was housed in the zoo area due to it’s mother rejecting him but he would come up to us when he chose for hugs and petting. Now THIS was awesome! Definitely take the drive through the safari. As you will see in my pics it’s very up close and personal plus a load of fun! One hint, there are markers showing how far through you are so be sure not to use up all the food nuggets at the beginning. The animals know the process and you’ll run out before you near the 1/2 way point.

shaun mohr

We had a great time seeing the animals, it is really fun to feed them and be able to be so close to the large animals. I do have to say this however, we will not likely go back. The staff is friendly and I had no issues with service, they are working within the confines put on them by management. We opted to rent the car, because these are huge animals that will run on, press on and chew on your car. The first car we were given was unacceptable to say the least. There was the strong odor of urine, likely mice, and there was a literal carpet of fuzzy mold in the back floorboard 2 inches thick. I cant subject the kids to that, so we asked for another vehicle. The second vehicle did not have mold visible, however the ammonia smell was quite overwhelming, since the air in the car was blasting with no knobs to turn it off, the smell of pee and mustiness was blown in your face the whole time. 3 out of 5 of us left with runny noses and now, a day later, likely have a sinus infection. $170 for the hour, it was not worth it!

Abeni Daniels

I was surprised that I enjoyed this outdoor adventure. Our driver / guide Terry wad very informed & the animals were interesting. Too Tall was nice, but I liked the whole tour of the park. It's expensive, but great learning experience for kids

Brad Harrison

A fun place to visit with family and friends. You literally driver through to see all kinds of animals. Buy some food pellets and they will even stick their heads into the vehicle while you feed them. Watch out for slobbering! Some key advice - Rent their vehicles. Some animals have horns. We also see at least one person driving their own car through. I can't help but think it comes out with a few scratches.

Alnasir Panjwani

Good for children 4 and up as they enjoy feeding animals while traveling in safari bus. Can buy animal food from there .

Tim Hubbard

Rent their vehicle or take the tour bus. DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN VEHICLE! The animals come up to the cars and rub, bump, stick their heads in. Great experience but rough on vehicles. Go early and avoid the crowd.

Quinton Brown

Awesome place with amazing animals! Will absolutely return. Only bad thing I can say is that I feel bad for some of the predators not have much space. I love seeing lions and tigers and bears but they are cooped up from what it seems. Others animals will slober all over your car and let you pet them. Was a lot of fun!

Jocelyn King

Very fun more than what I expected. Animals were very friendly and calm . Cafe food needs some work good wasn’t good. But overall I’d give it 9 out of 10 . Will be back soon

Jenny Hindman

This was the best thing I could ever do. Bucket list item checked off feeding so many exotic animals!

Marina Miller

I have been unsure about going to this place for years, our God daughter wanted to go and it ended up being so much fun! We drove our car through the forest/animal grounds and that was totally OK, but we decided not to get any food so not to have the animals come up into the car and cause any damages, we probably could have still bought some food for animals with no horns. They were all so sweet and friendly. They do you have busses for large groups and vans with large bars on the windows to feed the animals and they will put their heads iside, not in a scary way though. We would have done that but it was too hot outside and of course that vans move very slowly and no AC so that's why we decided to take our car. We will for sure to back! This could also be fun to bring a group of friends!

Crystal White

Had such a great time with my family! So many animals in your face, we were laughing the whole time. Get lots of food!!!

Max Thompson

A fantastic outing. I rate this purely on the animals experience. The food and restrooms were as you would expect. Very basic, but good enough. The actual safari was so much fun. I would recommend the slobber towel they sell when u buy food for the animals, it goes everywhere. If you dont like lots of animals sticking their head in your car, this might not be for you. But if you want giraffes and zebras feeding from your hand, this is awesome.

Sreejith K

Loved this place. Kids had a fun time. The rental cars are quite dirty though, so wear dark clothing :)

Andrew Morris

Amazing place to see Safari animals in GA. My 5 year old loved the animals and being able to feed them from the van. Make sure you go early enough to rent one of their vehicles so the animals don't scratch or dent yours. Also going earlier ensures hungrier animals and better close up experiences. And bring plenty of food for them cause you'll run out quick. Will be coming back again!

Unknown Inc.

The place is great for little kids or a day out of town, just make sure that you save the food! You'll feel bad for the rest of the animals after the start. The animals overall seem like they're treated well but I think the ones in the drive through part could use a little more care...

Zoe Salloom

Took our grand kids, 3 and 5, and had an amazing time (even in the incredible heat)! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the prices reasonable and the adventure AMAZING!! We had a ball and will do it again!! We got up close and personal with the animals in a very safe environment.

VJ

They should have just named it animal safari. Except for 2 camels, giraffes and zebra rest mostly are domesticated animals so keep ur expectations to a minimum. Having said that it will be full to drive around the park and feed the animals. Take your own car as much as possible as the Van's they rent out is in the worse shape possible. Fully dirty. Animals are not that aggressive so you can use your own car or try the free bus. Overall a good experience if it's your first animal safari
