Lots of interaction with the animals for a reasonable price. Bags of food, bird seed sticks, and camel rides are extra. But that's standard for most zoos, and the "extras" are still reasonably priced. Bags of food and bird seed sticks are 3/$5. Camel rides are $10 per person, ages 2+. My kiddos love it. If you're local, consider a family membership. For my family it's totally worth it.

We had a great time! It's a great place for kids of all ages. Animal feed was really cheap. I love the variety of animals. The animals were up and moving about. We got there just in time to see the lion and tigers eat. The lion really put on a show! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

We had a blast! Such a great place to bring the family. The prices are very reasonable. We even got to hang out, feed, and play with the sloths. The staff there is awesome!

The owners are warm and friendly. They are working hard to get this zoo up to par, as the original owners left it in a mess. I absolutely LOVED the kangaroo and sloth encounters. For a small town, this zoo offers something new and fun to do.

Great place but more like a petting zoo.. very small but the kids loved it they had lost of fun with the birds.. my kids and nephews just keeped on saying that it seem like the animals seem very thirsty and it did look like it most of them with the tungs out breathing hard, us coming from Arizona we haven't seen animals acting like that.. I was also expecting Giraffe,elephants and more animals..

I know what this zoo has been through to make it and that makes it so special. I can help but think the enclosures could be better placed (like under trees) or be a bit larger for some of the animals. Price point is great.

It is a little small, but that let's it have the "family business" feel too. I spent a few hours there with my daughter. The staff is easy to find and eager to talk about the animals. We had a great experience and the owner even gave us a sneak peak at something outside the normal area because he over heard us talking about one of the animals and knew we would appreciate it. Then we did the kangaroo encounter which was definitely worth it.

The zoo is a great place. The staff is extremely nice and friendly and it's genuine. The exhibits were being worked on and improved. The place is a perfect size for walking around, not to big so you get tired, but big enough to see seperate animals. The price is very affordable for a family and I would look into getting a yearly pass to come back again and again.

The customer service at this Zoo is AWESOME! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to the the animals. From what we can see the animals are well taken care of and the grounds are well kept. It is affordable to get in and the bags of food to feed the animals are a reasonable price.

I love the remodel of this local zoo! I remember frequently coming here as a small child. Now under new ownership I can bring my little girl to experience the fun! I’m also so pleased with the camel rides and the employees who work that are so friendly and knowledgeable. Worth every penny.

Fantastic place! It's not your typical "zoo." It's better!! The staff are friendly and happy to help any way they can. The animals are very interactive and have the best personalities. The exhibit's are set up wonderfully and allow you to see all of their beautiful animals up close. There are several you can feed by hand with food from the gift shop. While walking, you will find animals roaming the property. It's fantastic to see how well the animals are cared for. For an additional fee, you can choose to experience encounters with kangaroos, lemur's, sloths, and an animated lion named Levi. He clearly loves to entertain and will not disappoint during his lunch time. We chose the sloth and lemur encounter, and it was worth every penny. Sara was so helpful when setting up our encounter and made us feel welcomed. She was personable and sweet. Angel was our encounter guide. We cannot say enough great things about Angel!! Not only was she knowledgeable and kind, she graciously took pictures and answered all of our questions about the animals. We had an incredible time and will absolutely be back the next time we are in Florida. Thank you for a wonderful time today!! Keep up the great work.

Wonderful zoo that is practically half petting zoo and amazing staff. Very fairly priced. Bought the year pass which is super cheap and I take my 2 year old daughter several times a month and she loves it. The animals are very gentle with her when being fed.

We brought our 7 month old to this zoo and we all absolutely loved it. It's smaller than most big city zoo's but obviously this is Crestview and really, that makes it so much more intimate. It is only going to get better and better as the new owners continue to renovate and bring in more animals. We can't wait to go back.

Staff polite, courteous, knowledgeable..always offering to help in some way...my son in law is in a wheelchair, staff quick to offer a golf cart which made it so much easier for us....animals wonderful...when ever we had a question there was a staff member close by willing to help...i have never been to a facility like this and have had so much fun...the rest were walk through and let's go...looking forward to returning on my next trip from ohio...and will be looking into becoming a donator for their projects...

This a great zoo!! The customer service was outstanding during our visit. I would recommend purchasing at least one of the encounters. My wife and I purchased the Sloth, Lemur, and Kangaroo encounters which we really enjoyed. The encounters themselves are much more hands on than at a typical large zoo, which is what makes this place so fun.

So the wife took our 10 yr with his 12 yr old friend today. I did not even know this place existed until today but the reviews were great and it is half the price of the Gulf breeze zoo. She took the chance and they fell in love. When they came home the kids could not stop talking about it. I was informed that I would be going back with them in a few days. They had nothing bad to say at all. Here is what I gathered from their conversation. Like many reviews have said when you pull up it does not look like much but when you get in it opens up and is amazing. It is not your typical "ZOO". Meaning the corporate ran stand at a fence 50 foot from the animal and hope their is interaction. There are tons of animals just free range romaming all around you and this place is huge on enrichment activities for the animals. If you want the cookie cutter corporate zoo, with overpriced admission and outrageous prices on feed NOT COME HERE. If you want tons of interactions, cozy feel and obviously happy well cared for animals and a lot of feeding opportunity for a very fare price this is the place for you. Our son has been to the New Orleans Zoo and the Gulf Breeze zoo but I have never heard him so excited about the experience. Oh I was told the camel rides are a must, the baby deer loves to be scratched under the chin and if you are there at noon for the lion feeding it is a amazing thing to see. I wish there was a 6 star rating.

Great local zoo! Definitely an improvement, new owners are doing fantastic job. Fun way to spend a few hours and great pricing. Definitely will be getting the annual pass-will become a regular stop for us. They also offer some fun encounters and although we are waiting for next time, the guests experiencing each one had a great time! Bird sticks and petting food is a must and bring money to ride a camel-unique fun experience!

Visited the zoo for the first time today, and we loved it! Its not a large zoo, but we still spent 2 1/2 hours there. Loved all of the animals, the lion was very entertaining, and I got to get up close and personal with a sweet camel. On our way out, we got to pet a 17 day old monkey. Everyone who works there is very nice and very friendly. We will definitely go back in the near future!

My dad and mom took our 6 and 3 year old there for a grandparent adventure. They said when they first drove up they thought they had made a mistake. Once they got in it was wonderful. The animals were close enough to really watch with plenty of staff on hand to guard both the animals and the guests. It was a great !price

We always have the best time at this zoo. There are lots of fun animals to see, feed and pet. There is lots of shade so it’s easy to keep cool on hot days. The gift shop has a lot of great souvenirs and the staff is all so nice. Everything is so clean and well kept. The animals all seem so happy and are very friendly. The zoo is the perfect size and not overwhelming like most zoos. We brought our family from California there today and we all had a blast. Highly recommend!!

What a gem this place is! First time coming here with my kids and they absolutely loved it! At first, one of my kids couldn't get past the sand everywhere, but thankfully he became distracted by all the animals to feed. You can buy a bag of feed for $3 or 3 for $5. The favorite attraction is the bird encounter, where you have a seed stick and birds land on you and eat. My kids didn't want to leave and begged to keep a bird! Only improvement I can suggest is that the zoo staff actually walk around and give information and interact. Some exhibits didn't have signs for the animals either. Overall, we love this zoo and will be back!

3rd trip since last summer. Small sanctuary zoo that offers a personal experience with great people. Good place for the kids to run around and be with the animals for a couple of hours. The camel ride was fun, the family really enjoyed that new attraction. Not like a regular big zoo so don't expect big crowds and concrete. We will return again.

This is a very cool zoo. It is fully outside which made it seem like a safari almost. I gave a 5 star but it isn't perfect. It needs just the slightest improvements to make it perfect. Perhaps extra staffing for upkeep and to keep the animals a little more lively.

A very nice, smaller zoo. We enjoyed the parakeet house, the camel ride and Levi the lion was awesome. They don't have anything too exotic and most of the animal exhibits are typical for a small zoo, but it was clean and appeared well run. The staff were very friendly and took extra time talking to the kids. It was fun.

We love this place! My wife takes our kids here at least every other week, and they always talk about the zoo. The facilities are well kept, and we have only experienced friendly staff. They also offer a one-year family pass that is worth its weight in gold. It isn't a huge zoo, but they have a great diversity of animals and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended going! (And don't forget to buy food for the animals!)

This is a great place to bring the whole family. The staff is very friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the zoo as a whole is very interactive and keeps the kids excited and having fun! I was pleasantly surprised at this zoo. My wife and I visited on a whim. It's a small place, but the variety of animals is decent. It does have a lion and tiger there. It took about 2 hours to go through it, but I'm the kind of guy who reads every placard in front of the animals to learn as much as I can. Others can go through it much quicker. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions. It looks like they have room to expand also.

The zoo is great! It's not huge but it gets better, cleaner and they seems to rotate some of the animals. We have a season pass! Our 4 year old can't get enough! Be there before noon to see the lion eat! Spectacular natural show he puts on. Get to hear all those lion grawls and roars and see him be dominate. Strongly recommend you make the short trip if you have children

Went here with the nieces and other family members. We all had a really good time and enjoyed petting the animals. As others have mentioned about prices it’s true. The groundskeepers here are really friendly and the ladies at the cash register are friendly. I hope to make my way back here someday.

My family and I enjoyed our trip to the Zoo today. It is a much smaller, more intimate zoo than the large ones that you spend time walking around and not getting to the animals. The Emerald Coast zoo had animals walking with us (chickens, peacocks, tortoise) while we enjoyed visiting with all of the animals. We were able to see a lion encounter experience and the feeding of the wolves. The staff were so nice, informative, professional and were very caring of the animals. I also have to say how clean it felt. All of the animals areas were very well maintained and clean. The only downside was that I couldn't bring a small goat home with me. They were so cute! We are new to the area and will definitely make this a family spot in the future. Great price and groupons available. Thank you Emerald Coast Zoo!

Love, love this zoo!! We have seen the amazing transformation from the original owners to the owners now. Each time we go, they have added more! It is smaller than your big city zoos but you get to be so much closer to the animals and the prices can't be beat. We especially love the lion feedings and they offer camel rides for only an extra $10. We keep an eye on Groupon because sometimes you can get a deal for the zoo which helps us and allows us the extra money for the zoo snacks for the animals and the bird snack sticks. We highly recommend this zoo! :)

This place was awesome! Definitely in need of some upgrades, but hopefully donations will come in. I showed up with my handicapped buddy and didn't have a wheelchair, non where available at the Easter event. They were super friendly and provided us with a Golf cart! Best customer service ever.

Our first time here and all I can say is wow! Great local zoo, the staff is friendly, the prices are very fair, and there is a lot to do. It was a hot day when we visited so we really only spent an hour or so walking around but we could have easily spent more time if the weather was a little cooler. I definitely recommend visiting, you can tell the owners are investing into the zoo. We drove up from Destin, just for the zoo, and it was worth it!

This outdoor arena is absolutely outstanding!!!! With an array of small and large animals! Featuring a Lion that has enough testosterone to keep you on edge as the "gate keeper" feeds him. He will PROUDLY BARE his teeth and claws while he charges the fence!! But he will NOT SHARE HIS FOOD! This display of BRUT FORCE is not a mock display,,,,,thank goodness for 20' high heavy duty fences!!!!! The rest of the Zoo is guaranteed to to thrill! Parakeets to land on you to feed from a stick and CAMEL RIDES THAT WERE REMARKABLE! Must do in FLORIDA By Pensacola and Crrestview!

This is definitely more of a petting zoo. We liked it and would definitely go again. Based on other zoo's we've been to we think it is overpriced. That was really our only drawback. They have camel rides ($10), you can feed a lot of the animals, huge variety of exotic birds, lion, tiger, bear (oh my), kangaroos, pigs, llamas etc.

What a great gem to the north end if the county! I have drove by multiple times and never stopped. So glad we had family in town and we decided to Check it out. There are many animals to pet, feed and some exotic animals for this area. It was much bigger than I expected and it is priced fairly. There are even camel rides for $10 and other experiences. I was pleasantly surprised by this zoo. The petting zoo portion was awesome with plenty of well-socialized domestic animals that were very interactive! We went on an overcast day so almost all of the animals were out and in view. I had just as much fun here as I do at the larger zoos I'm used to. My only critique would be that I wish they had more educational signage. Some enclosures did not even label the animals.

Really nice zoo. Small but the kids had a lot of fun. I wish the big cats had more space and some of the animals had friends to be with (like the Gibbon). Staff and volunteers are super friendly, we enjoyed feeding the animals. I especially love the little horned sheep. It is the sweetest thing and I love visiting it whenever we come!

Great place, staff is wonderful and good selection of animals. If you are in a wheelchair, definitely ask for a golf cart because it is hard to manuver around the area. Will be going back!!

This zoo is great! Great price for the family. The kids LOVED seeing and feeding animals. The staff are 5 stars for sure. They speak to you and interact with kids. Ask them questions and talk about the animals. Worth it. Go if you havent been!

Nice little zoo. A lot of the signs didn't match up with the animals in the enclosure. We got a Groupon so our whole family was able to go for about $20 which included a bag of food for the animals. It was much smaller than I was expecting, but with the Groupon it was very reasonably priced. They also have camel rides for $10.

We love coming here! It's a small zoo, so you get to see everything pretty close up. The first part has animals you can feed with food purchased as you enter. They have donkeys, goats, deer, chickens, and a few other animals to feed. The other 2/3rds of the zoo are animals in habitats. They have otters, Lions, bears, wolves, tortoises, a Raven, a couple of primates, and lots of birds. It's a great place to spend part of a day. We usually stay for a few hours and still have the rest of the day to do things. The owners are always there, and very nice! The staff is friendly and can answer your questions. This is a small, locally owned place. You're not going to find shows or rides, people dressed up in costume, or any of the other stuff from bigger places. They do this because they love the animals and love to educate visors.

Today my husband and I visited Emerald Coast Zoo and had the most amazing afternoon. This place is just wonderful. Rick the owner could not have been more kind and you can see how all the animals love him so much. What he and his family have done over the past year since they bought the zoo is just heart warming. The animals look happy and well taken care of and you are able to interact with a lot of them too, which made our experience all the better. It is so inexpensive for admission and well worth every penny. I highly recommend you pay the extra and experience one on one interaction with some of the certain species. Rick was so informative and you and your kids will learn so much. Thank you for an amazing afternoon!! Looking forward to our next visit!

Definitely a must see. I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The animals were well taken care of and clean. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth and some. Good for all ages, I took my two toddlers and they were able to interact as well as learn about new animals they wouldn't get the chance to otherwise. As a person who is generally skeptical of zoos I was happy with the conditions and overall well being of the animals. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about them.

It's a nice little zoo, and very interactive. We had my son's birthday out there and he loved it. Wished they had elephants and giraffes though, but overall it was very nice and great for a family day.
