Here we offer you the feddbacks of real people like you who consumed the services of Alabama Safari Park (Zoo) in Alabama area.
Nowadays this business gets a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and that rating was based on 566 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is basically the best one, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is very accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo belongs to the category of Wildlife and safari park.
It's a bit pricey at $16 a person, but once you see the diversity of the animals and how long the drive is through the park, it evens out. Get at least four buckets of food or you will run out before you see the water buffalo.
One of the best experiences ever.
My kids enjoyed every minute we were there.
This place was pretty neat. 1st ride through we got 2 buckets of feed. I wish they would've had more variety of animals... its mostly llamas. The camel was the first animal to walk up to the car and it became a wrestling match and a fight of the wills to try to put this came in his place... he took my entire bucket of feed out of my hands with an evil glint in his eye, even though I fought him for it! I think they should warn you about him, because for the rest of the ride I couldn't feed any animals and had to sit steaming as the camel gleefully slung my full bucket of feed all over the ground and continued to chomp the bucket while watching me as if to gloat over his victory.
We loved this place!! Our first time going and will definitely be going back again! Its summer kids are put of school and you want something fun and educational for kids of all ages this is the place! I had my daughter which is 10 and my two grandsons who are 4 and 7! They had a blast! Moderate prices about the same as going to the regular old Montgomery Zoo but only it's way better! First off it's a drive through zoo which means to kids and adults kinda fill like an African safari trip, you get to touch and feed the animals as you drive through the place! It's hard to get those animals out of your car when you have food lol!!! And after you finish which it's not a short drive through it's long so you get your money's worth trust me; you can go to the petting zoo feed the animals there too. They have a well stocked gift shop with snacks! The most important is you can drive around or stay up to 4 PM when they close no matter what time you get there off your paid admission even if you leave for food you van come back show your receipt where you've already paid and reenter the park again which most places in general dont allow which is a plus! The snacks there are limited and expensive like a buck for one of the super small bags of doritos and 3 bucks for a drink! If you have a lot of kids I would recommend packing drinks and snacks in a cooler because I will be doing so next time we go! I wish they would add some hot food like hot dogs or pizza or something like that! But lots of educational fun!!!
Came for a day out with the family and had a wonderful time. We didn't see all the animals listed on the flyer, but we saw some not listed. This place is new and obviously growing. Looks like an aviary being built. Zebras with babies came right up to the car. We loved it.
Lamas and a camel greet you at the entrance...maybe even Scottish cattle save some feed for later in the park!. Short drive and the varieties of foragers. Water buffalo, zebra, ostrich, oryx and more on the 2nd half. Loved feeding giraffe and budgies. ..macaw!
We had a great time and you'll be so surprised at how much fun is waiting for you
It was a very neat place next time we will bring the grandkids
It was fun, the llamas hog all of the food, so do the camels. The llamas outnumber all of the other animals and will follow your car. I wish they had cars to rent, there was a lot of slobber on the windows! Personally, the birds were the best part. Gift shop was expensive. Would love to go back, very fun trip.
Alabama Safari Park is such a great place to take the family for a day of excitement and fun. It is so cool to drive through and feed the animals from the window of your car. Always extra exciting when a watusi with GIANT horns tries to stick his head in your window and doesn't fit... but his face makes it and might slobber all over you. Then there is the ostrich that pecks in your bowl. After the safari drive, there are several very good activities to round out the trip. The Giraffe is fun to watch and feed lettuce, and exciting to get a bird on your hand. Then there are the goats and pigs that you can pet. Finally, they have kangaroos to watch and pet if they come close enough. Alabama Safari Park is a must visit for everyone! Great for adults and event better to take a few kids along. This is a great asset to Alabama!!!
Interesting to do but expensive, basically you can expect your car to be assaulted by a large array of llamas, and the occasional camel, ostrich and emu with the more exotic animals keeping a safe distance. Budgie and giraffe food is overpriced, but the general safari food is nicely priced. I would recommend this as a "maybe do it once", seeing as the general time inside is about an hour, you might want to invest a little more and simply go to a zoo where you can spend an entire day. The lack of seating, food, parking and other entertainment means that after aprox 2 hours everyone will be done with the experience having done everything twice.
This place was super neat!!! There are quite a few animals and they aren't afraid to come up to your vehicle! We fed many different animals and the kids loved it! The ostrich was probably the favorite out of them all! It was super cool to feed the zebras too!
Such a fun experience to see wildlife up close and personal!
This has to be the best one we've been to yet! The animals have an abundance of space to roam. Some interact while others just seem to hang out. Plan to drop $100 easy here but it's money well spent and a great experience. The Budgies were awesome, we spent almost an hour the aviary. The property looks very well taken care of and you can tell they have spent a ton of money and time to take care of these animals. We saw so many fox squirrels which was absolutely awesome.
Not too crowded, take your time and interreact in real life up close and personal.
We had the best time ever!! This is a must see!! The bison was way in our car!! So many laughs and smiles!!
Really cool. Got to see a llama give birth. Also you might want to get more than one bucket of feed especially if you go early like my family did. Those animals were hungry!
We had an amazing time. Well worth the drive and money.
Excelent place for kids nice family time
The place was very interesting ride and experiences. I wish that it would have had some predators on the ride.
Excellent adventure for the whole family. Don't know who had more fun, me or the kids, lol
A wonderful experience. Beautiful animals. They we so friendly. Could stand to lower the price however. Pretty steep. Cost per vehicle would be more appropriate, not per person.
Can feed the animals. Animals are friendly. Staff is great!!!
Had a great adventure seeing the animals and taking in the scenery.
We absolutely loved it! So worth the drive and price. I have never been so close to animals like that but it was an amazing experience!
It was extremely fun and you truly get an up-close an upfront with the animals. Even has grown ups with no little children we had the best time.
Fun stop on the way to the beach perfect time to stretch your legs
Loved this place! Its a different kind of experience to see animals soo close and feed them. Giraffe is my favorite
A lot of animals and also the animals are very friendly. Was very fun for kids and adults alike.
Oh my word this place is awesome my son is 9 and he just fell in love with it
Safari Fun Don’t forget to take your kids, they would love ❤️ it
Excellent place within 2 hrs of drive from Birmingham to enjoy nature and see wildlife.
The park is beautiful, animals are well taken care of from what I see, and they love the attention. The price for the park is great! But the price in gift shop is too high. Also, the animals like to take the whole bucket before you get a chance to even feed two animals. My daughters bucket was taken at the entrance and she had nothing to feed the rest of the animals the whole time. My advice is to buy extra buckets or the park needs to put a feed station half way through so that people can buy more. Not everyone can go through the park two and three times due to heat. Overall, the Zebras are what made it the best. Llamas are awesome too. Camel is the food hog.
Really enjoyed it very nice place
Had so much fun learning about the animals that were literally inches from me!
A neat place to blow a couple of hours. If you ever wanted to see llama's, they have them in spades. Lots of llama's. A few zebra and some really cool big Horn type of cattle. Mean emu's and nice ostrich. Pretty cool place. Definitely worth a stop. Kids love it.
Awesome fun. The birds were great
These animals are hilarious! I enjoyed the whole park and the opportunity to feed the animals while site seeing. Great idea! If you all add more animals that’ll be even better.
Good time..ticket prices too high
This was so much fun! I went with my mom and the nursing home she’s in. The staff was great and it was overall a terrific experience
Great experience!! Kids loved the buntings. The safari was so cool. Plenty of shade. Would be neat to have a return pass for just the petting area bc my kids like the birds best.
My family and i just left not too long ago. This is our first time coming. And man this place is amazing. The animals are all very sweet and well taken care of. We enjoyed this place. And look forwarded to stopping by again sometime.
Awesome experience! The whole family loved it ! Great facilities and variety of animals!
Awesome park and convenient for the lazy and AC inclined like myself! Watch the camels though, the will snag your buckets
We really enjoyed the Safari Park. My children learned fun facts about each animal. We enjoyed interacting with the animals. It's so cool being able to drive around as many times as you like. The petting zoo has enough space for animals too move comfortably. Alabama Safari Park restrooms were very clean and a nice gift shop. It's a great place to go for a nice and relaxing outing with the family.
If you haven't been here yet, why not?! What an awesome experience! You can buy food and take your car through the drive through part of the park. You're able to feed all sorts of animals. There are cows, bulls, emus, llamas, alpachas, wilderbeast, and more. There is also a petting zoo with goats and pigs. Don't forget to pick up some lettuce for the giraffes who will eat right from your hand. Last, but not least, the birds are spectacular! They come right to you as you walk in the habitat.
The animals looked like they were healthy and happy.
Great place to take the family. Watch the ostrich they were shady.
Fun for everyone! Animals are great and look well cared for.
The grandkids enjoyed it so much!
It's pretty pricey but very fun for the kids and adults alike.
Amazing!! Very clean and well done! We stopped on our way from KY to Gulf Shores and it was a great break for pur little ones. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
This was the second time we have been here and it was as great as the first time. I suggest that you rent their vehicle to drive through the animal enclosure unless you like to see your car beaten up by animals. It's worth the money and you will have a blast. The staff are very friendly and dedicated. Thanks for allowing us to come over.
Close to home. Good family trip.
Great experience! Love all the animals! Well worth the money!!!
I think everybody that travels to Montgomery Alabama she consider this as a stop it was a great time our children loved it
It was really nice. Not as many animal as thought. If not for map directions would have not found it
Loved visiting this drive thru animal park. Located just off interstate 65, this treasure is an animal lovers great day! Priced right for everyone to enjoy. The animals provide hours of fascination and enjoyment. There is also a giraffe petting/feeding station, petting zoo, Budgie feeding aviary, and gift shop. Restrooms are a travel trailer behind the gift shop, and 3/4 stairs are required to be climbed to use the restroom facilities. Aside from the restroom facilities being non-handicapped friendly, this park is a real pleasure. My recommendation would be to make restrooms ground level and handicapped capable as well as expanding the gift shop merchandise to more clothing with park logo. V neck T-shirt’s, magnets, ornaments, post cards/sets of post cards featuring park logo and animals. Make the trip and make the kids and animal lovers very happy!
Fun time! No scratches on the car but beware of the Longhorns blocking the gate waiting on a snack.
This was a great experience for the whole family. We enjoyed being up close and personal with all the animals.
As adults we enjoyed. With kids it would be better
The animals are very friendly. Great place to visit
What a wonderful surprise! It was beautiful! Very friendly animals, and such a variety! We drove 2 hours to go to this park in June 2019, even in the heat, well worth the drive! $5 extra to feed the Giraffes was a shocking cost, but the souvenir cup included made the purchase more bareable.
We had so much fun
great for the kids, be prepared for admission prices and to buy food for animals.
There is nothing bad I can say about this experience. The feeding and price is a tad expensive, but the experience was fantastic, super fun! Have already went twice since.
Had a fun experience! Nice family-friendly place with variety of animals to feed as you drive through self-paced. Only downfall is there aren't additional places along the way to buy more food (camel grabbed my bucket upon entering the park). Loved the giraffes too!!
Most animals were out and about, there were LOTS of different animals to see. The road through is very well kept. Workers are nice. Petting zoo area easily accessible.
Fun family experience. Clean & well maintained. Not as many animals as we expected, but still had a lot of fun! I recommend it for families looking for a new adventure!
I have the fortune to drive from Texas to Alabama and stop here. Beautiful and so friendly for kids. No regrets at all.
Great opportunities to feed and pet animals. Beautiful place on a perfectly beautiful day! Buying feed for different animals is a little expensive.
Awesome experience. All the animals were friendly and curious. The llamas were hilarious. Followed the cars for food. A great drive through the land. Various animals, all very food driven. Pretty cool to see that many different animals up close. Great price. Can drove through as many times as you want, so that's pretty cool. Only negative was we couldn't feed the giraffes, due to the romain recall. Feeding the giraffes is always our favorite part. But they clearly love their animals and take great care of them!
Great family fun! There were so many animals within the park
We had such a great time!
Lots of fun! I recommend all to this! Watch for horns lol
Like it. Jast don't go when too hot. Alittle to expensive for my taste
Fun place. Needs spash pad and park for kids
A great place for Grandfolks to take the Grandkids...our boys had a ball...
Love this zoo! You get to pet and feed all the animals
Absolutely amazing place! We loved it and so did the kids! (Ages 11,8 &1) We drove thru once, checked out the petting zoo, fed the giraffes, and had a blast feeding the birds in the aviary. Unique experience, and totally worth it! We spent about 3 hours here in total. Bathrooms were very clean too! We'll be coming back for sure :)
We had a great time! A very unique experience!
Great place! Lots of animals and well taken care of. We were even lucky enough to see a baby Alpaca right after it was born.
This place is a must see! Take an hour or two to visit on your way to or from the beach this summer ! I promise you will not be disappointed!
Fantactic place. Had a GREAT time
My grandbabies loved this place. A little pricey but well worth the comedy, entertainment!!! Will definitely be back♥️
We've been here twice and it keeps getting better. Allot of fun for the whole family.
Very nice clean natural habitat for the animals. The camels are a little food aggressive lol. Camel head in the car was scarey but fun!
Alpaca and emu is your thing this is the place. Too pricey for small variety of animals. 118.00 for 1 vehicle 2 adults and 3 children just too see small selection of animals.
Great Place! The animals are always hungry and ready to vome up close and visit your vehicle. They act like they are starving but you know they arent.
I have grandchildren 10 and 4 years old and they love the safari. Being able to interact with the animals. Planing on returning in August.
Love this place! So nice and tidy. Wonderful place to spend a day!
Please understand when it says they close at 5p.m. they actually close at 4 p.m. You can still see the giraffe, birds and farm animals but you will not be admitted into the main area after 4.
Awesome place the kids loved it good price for the memories
Love this place. Feeding the animals is greatm
This place was very fun we took a minivan with 4 adults + 2 children ages 2 and under. There are a lot more animals than we thought were going to be there. The staff was friendly. The grounds were well kept. The only drawback is I think it was overpriced, especially when you bought the extra foods for feeding the animals. Overall it was a very good experience.
We had a great time! It was something different for the kids to do.
This place was awesome! Kids really enjoyed it.
This was such a neat experience! Drive through and feed the animals!!
Awesome place. Be sure to get feed the giraffes and the birds
The animals were awesome!
Very fun!!! Park is really well kept up and staff greets you with a smile!
This was a spontaneous stop on our way home. I'm glad we stopped. I had never fed a girraff. Now I have! It is kind Of pricey but it's going to a Great cause. Stop by for a look the lamas are a laugh . And I fell on love with a Zebra.....
What a great experience! Animals come right up to the car for the food in the drive thru section. Most of them let you pet them as they are eating. Make sure to buy plenty of feed as some are pretty greedy! The petting zoo part is cool with the goats, pigs, alpaca, and more. The budgies are a blast to feed for $1.50. They fly right up on your arm, head, anywhere they feel like it. The giraffe will come check and see if you have food. The kangaroos are new so they were a bit standoffish but still cool to see. Highly recommend!
Great for family day with or without the kids.
Our kids had a great time at the petting zoo and giraffe feeding. There was baby animals all thur out the 350 acres. We'll be back soon to have some more fun.
Definitely worth the drive from Mobile! The kids as well as my husband and I enjoyed it. It's a great experience.
Super fun. Lots of various animals and livestock. Kids had a great time. Llamas will block the car and demand tribute. Only down side is that it's pretty expensive. We spent about 90 bucks for family for tickets, buckets of food, and food for giraffes.
Awesome experience! We were thrilled to stopped by on our way back home.
Very fun experience. Very nice gift shop. Fun animal drive through. Parakeet cove. Giraffe feeding was very nice. You must drive your own vehicle and can not rent one. I suggest the back of a truck which was a more fiest hand up close animal experience. (Until they update the restrooms, there are port a potties. Go before you get there.) Fun outing. Would go again
Nice experience, I would go again but it will not be for a while. You can go around as many times as you can before they close once you pay the admission. It can get costly, but worth it if you like animals. It has a petting zoo, you can feed giraffes and birds along with the other animals. Would not recommend if your child is scared of big animals. I had to clean my car out because the feed fell back inside, but it wasn’t too bad. I got some awesome pictures for my Instagram Liyah.on.the.move and was able to recommend several people to check it out.
We had so much fun. Just my best friend and I went without kids and became children ourselves.. WOW! We really needed it. It was a joy feeding the birds to... don't forget your "bird stick with food on it" they're all waiting on it.. The birds land on you and are very peaceful.. Be careful not to step on any because they get all around your feet. The staff was wonderful as well... Really great place to visit.
Great way to spend a day with family! Enjoyed seeing so many wild animals in a beautiful, natural setting. They seem happy and well-cared for. Many are very friendly. Loved getting to see them up close and touch many of them. Even got a camel kiss! We rode through once, then went to the petting zoo and aviary. Took a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Then went back and did it all again! Spent the entire day. Keep your ticket for all-day admission. Staff is friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go again!
A+ great family spot for all ages. You can take selfies with the animals but watch out for the camels.
Fun, family friendly place. Animals come to your car window for food. Small petting area. Bird sanctuary. Go early, as animals aren't hungry in the afternoon.
Absolutely worth the stop best part of our roadtrip.
Enjoyable, but bathrooms and petting zoo are not wheelchair accessible.
Excellent experience. Get two buckets of feed! Animals come right up to you.
Animals are awesome. Emus are sketchy. Most of the animals will eat from your hand and want scratchings. Great way to spend some time with the family.
Alabama Safari Park is a great hands-on learning environment! The staff are friendly and made certain we had an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Neat place to visit if you have some free time. You can purchase animal food for $4 and the animals will approach your vehicle and eat straight from the bucket of food. Even if you don't have a bucket, the animals still approached our car. Was a nice, different thing to do.
Fun drive through park for the family.
When u think of safari I thought exotic animals not parrots, deer, llamas zebras and some farm animals I felt cheated out of 42.00 And to boot there weren't a lot of animals
So far this is the most fun I've had in the Montgomery, AL area! You simply must plan a trip to the Alabama Safari Park located just South of Montgomery in Hope Hull Alabama. It's expensive but worth every penny of your hard earned money. Children will be thrilled! Buy your bucket of feed at the main entrance and gift shop then prepare to have the time of your life driving through. You'll see so many different kinds of animals. But get there early so they'll be good and hungry! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure you also feed the giraffes, pigs, and birds. We'll be sure to return to Alabama Safari Park!
Easy to access from interstate, easy parking, and lots of fun for all ages. We had fun feeding the animals and nice gift shop to visit. The restrooms were tidy also.
The kids had a blast. Wish there was a little more variety of animals
Lama's will rush your vehicle! Lots of animal's. Birds are the best!
A little on the pricey side but they did have some animals and the petting zoo was the best.
Loved this experience! Worth the drive from Daphne. Every bit fun and exciting! Make sure you get enough food (the friendly staff can advise on it). Highly recommend for any and all animal lovers!!
Loved it! It was really fun with a small group. The animals all appear to be healthy and well cared for. We also loved being able to linger and spend time with the giraffes. At the zoos they hustle you through the giraffe feedings. The aviary was a treat as well. The birds were all really friendly and just crawled all over everyone. I couldn’t believe how the longhorn cows seemed to be aware of exactly where their horns were. They even tilted their heads around the side mirrors so they wouldn’t bump their horns!!! Well worth the visit. Every person needs a window or else pile in the back of a truck!
Awesome experince, the animals seemed like they wanted to come in with you!!. Loved what was there. The birds and the giraffes were beautiful. Great time, expecially with family!!
We took our 3 kids to enjoy the day. Ages are 8, 7 and 1. Even our 1 year old enjoyed being able to see all these wonderful animals up close. We were all so thrilled to be able to get these amazing animals to come up to the vehicle to be fed. We fed zebras and bison amongst many others. I wish the petting zoo was a bit bigger, but it was still nice feeding the giraffes and the goats and pigs they had there. We plan on trying to go back once it cools off so maybe more animals will be willing to come from the shade of the trees. Will be taking our truck so we can feed them out of the bed of the truck, as well. If you go, just be wary some animals do have significant horns so watch your mirrors and you may get a scratch on your car, but it was still quite amazing. Can't wait to go back.
It was awesome to see all the animals. Would definitely recommend it. Just keep in mind vehicles may get some scratches.
A very fun place to visit, its not as well developed as the Virginia location but either way you're going to have fun
This is a nice park. The fact that you can just drive around and feed the animals instead of getting out is a plus. I would like to see more animals, because the few that they have look so similar it's like seeing the same animals over and over. The animals are huge and not shy at all (A bit aggressive though). Overall the kids really enjoyed.
This was a Great Adventure to see animals up close. Awesome experience feeding the animals. Lots of fun!
Great experience. Buy at least one bucket of food. It may get your car dirty on the inside (if the animals knock food out of the bucket into your car) and the outside (because you drive on a dirt road). Also has a petting zoo.
Drove all the way from Pensacola, kids loved it. You're car will smell like a farm when you are done though.
Staff was very friendly . All the animals were great . Kids will love this
Our first visit here and it was absolutely amazing. My three-year-old granddaughter loved it. Heck my 38 year old wife loved it. Good prices, friendly staff and amazing time for a drive-thru Zoo. They have a giraffe feeding station and a bird aviary as well as a kangaroo area.
Originally thought it was expensive, but was worth every penny. Had a blast. Would love to see more added.
This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My first time going. My daughter took me for my 64th birthday and I loves EVERY minute.
This was awesome and it took us all most 2.5 hours to drive thru and we didn't have a line of cars ahead of us then we done petting zoo and fed the birds and giraffe and spent 30 to 45 minutes more well worth the price fun fun fun making memories with grand babies ty ❤️ it
I could not write enough great things about this place. We spent over 2 hours in the driving part. My kids loved it and as an adult I loved it as well. The animals look very cared for and they are so friendly. It was priced well to. We will definitely be going back soon!!
We had a great time! We saw every kind of animal we had hoped to see and got to feed most of them, too! The ostriches are demanding; be careful when they want to stick their head in your car window! We touched zebras and giraffes as they ate from our tubs. The road is wide enough to pull over and let others around you if you want to stay in a spot longer. You should make this a stop on your travels, for sure!
This place was great. Be extremely careful when entering with all the animals flocking to the entrance. The long horns are very intimidating. Great place to take the kids or for a trip to satisfy your inner child. I recommend buying at least 2-3 buckets of feed for each person.
Such a fun little place to stop and visit ! The gift shop isn't over priced and it was so fun to drive threw in our own vehicle ! We had such a blast and definitely will be back again !
