It was good service at the winery. But the wines were not that great. Pricey Because I can't comment on your post, I'm adding a comment. Just because you've won awards and such for your wines doesn't mean I have to like them. Therefore you still have 1 star.

My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner. We enjoyed doing a wine tasting in the winery before dinner and we really enjoyed our dinner. The employee at the winery was very friendly and the wine was quite good. I had the beef filet and my wife had the walleye. They were both excellent. The bruschetta board was also great. The atmosphere is really nice, relaxed but upscale. All together, this was one of the best meals I've had in Wisconsin. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

We were on our way to the AMERICAN Club and stopped here for dinner . WOW what a pleasant surprise. Food and wine was amazing and the server I believe her name was Brittany was just as amazing and being out of town she educated us on the local culture and food they were offering. Their salmon and scallops were amazing.

My wife and I along with our good friends came to your fantastic restaurant for our 28th wedding anniversary. It was our first time there and we were very impressed. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the food was outstanding and our server James was awesome. We toured the property and checked out the winery. The wine was very good as well. Love your wait staff, great people, great fun. Very personable. Decent beer selection. If you only have one tap, Spotted Cow is the way to go. On the patio on a cool rainy day. Heaters and umbrellas! Blankets being offered was over the top. At first I thought the food was overpriced, but with the great staff & a fantastic patio, I realized it was totally worth it.

Sorry to say, once again disappointed. It is a "Winery", "sorry we are out of Chardonay"! Limited lunch menu compared to the always delicious lunches we enjoyed before lunch was only served in the Winery. Wish the food was better because we love the setting. Had the Curry Chicken Salad, a few weeks ago and today a fish taco and a steak taco, all nothing to get excited about. One more time, we will try the pizza, hope it is a winner.

Have never had a bad meal here. Service is terrific, wine is outstanding, and food is just amazing. While the menu items are good, order whatever the special is; you will be happy. Only negative I can say is wifi isn't really available downstairs and we wanted our son to use it while the rest of us enjoyed our meal but not a big deal at all. Best restaurant in the area IMO.

We had great expectations based on a friend's recommendation. However, service was extremely slow and it's not a very big place. Our order was not correct (it would have helped had the server written it down) and my entrée was cold - the petit filet which was pre-cut just as another reviewed mentioned. Had we just been there for the historic building that's one thing, but spending $140 for poor service doesn't cut it. Overall it was an extremely disappointing evening. On the plus side, the host saw what was happening and stepped in to try to salvage things but at that point the damage was already done. He did manage to keep our server away until it was time for the check. I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled this time as I have had such wonderful times at other Kohler locations and restaurants. Perhaps our experience was just a fluke?

Visited the winery in mid-October. Tasting is very nice and the wines are delicious (some of the best in Wisconsin for real wine-lovers). Cheese plate was generous and the best cheeses Wisconsin has to offer. Cozy environment for the fall and winter and looks like a lovely patio for the summer.

The wind kept blowing into our side eating area each time the doors opened. The first door closed too slowly allowing the cold air to blow in much longer than it should each time it was opened. The food was excellent.

A group of us went last night and had the best experience. Sandy from the winery took us upstairs to a loft area where they had a huge barn board table ready for our group and all the wines ready to sample. There were 10 of us and we just had the best time. Sandy took such good care of us! The in side has a downstairs with a huge counter area where you can sample. You can also go upstairs to the loft and sample there. They had food pairings as an option for $12.00 with 5 wines they choose or for $6.00 you can choose 5 wines to sample. The outside area has a deck and large patio area with seating and a gazebo with music. IF it wasn't raining....we would have hung there all night. The music was great. Beautiful farm and over all wonderful experience!!! A REAL Sheboygan County GEM!!!

Visited on Friday night September 19. First, the reservation I made a week prior was nowhere to be found by the hostess, but there were tables available anyway. We were seated and chatting when our waitress barged up to our table and aggressively interrupted us. She stood what seemed like an awkward distance from us and explained the non-menu offerings over the ambient noise (but didn't mention their prices.) I then asked her to approach our table without interrupting us; that we would acknowledge her quickly. OK. We shared a scallops appetizer served with a sauce and fresh corn - delicious. My date ordered veal while I had the walleye. Both entries were very good. But our experience was marred by our waitress who did not heed our request and interrupted us several more times. We were on a date, and I didn't spend the time and bad karma to complain to the manager. However, we witnessed a waiter take care of a couple near us with attentive courtesy and graciousness that we envied. Hopefully someone from management will read this review and train this waitress to slow down and warm up.

Exceedingly overpriced for the paltry amount of food provided. The service was very slow, apparently the kitchen was not prepared for the patio to be 3/4 filled. They ran out of one of the 3 starters thru offer, and it was only 6pm. The truffle fries. I give them the 2 stars for the ambience, but they truly lacked in food taste, food value and service. We were very disappointed.

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful evening of fine dining at the Blind Horse last Friday. Service was very good with the waitress (and the waiter she was training) there when you needed them and very personable. I ordered the Filet Mignon. BEST STEAK I have had in YEARS! Done just right (and I am pretty picky), the sides that go with the dish were also outstanding! My husband ordered the fish special. I don't recall what it was called but he kept saying how good it was! For dessert, we ordered the raspberry sorbet (delish) and chocolate trio (my favorite was the tiramisu). Highly recommended! Wonderful ambiance! A perfect night!

Overpriced drinks in plastic cups. Ordered a cheese and charcuterie board that was easily the worst I’ve ever had. Twice ordered a beer that never showed up. Cool setting and kind people for sure but the service and food were really poor especially for the spendy prices. NOT a do over!

Very disappointed. Service was substandard; they did not seem overly busy for a Friday night. My salmon was undercooked (more like sushi) but waitstaff never checked on us so I did not finish it. Wife liked her entree so I rate this place a 2 instead of a 1. Too many good options in area so I doubt we will be back.

Compliments to Rose for a quick “show and tell” about the area and to Mallory who amazed with her awesome, personable service and, finally, hats off to the Chef who is as proficient in preparing the food as he is at creating a most beautiful presentation. Patio - The live jazz was outstanding, the wine was wonderful. Our waiter was either new or just not very good. Took 20 minutes to get our first drink, 35 more minutes to get our food (no plates, napkins or plasticware) and then he never came back to ask how we were doing or if we needed a refill on drinks. Food was okay but portion size for price was not good at all.

Eat here frequently. Some of the wait staff are a bit green/annoying to deal with, but the more seasoned waitresses/waiters are great! Food is always good, wine is delicious, atmosphere is awesome. If making a reservation, request to stay away from the table by the light switches...one of the hostesses has a fascination with adjusting the brightness of the dimmers and will reach over your date's head every 5 minutes to make an adjustment (and that's just plain annoying). Overall, 5 stars...just be aware of these subtle but avoidable annoyances. To address those complaining about prices to portion sizes, this is a winery and an upper class restaurant. You'll expect to pay a bit more for the style of food; don't expect bar food style portions. For the type of food, the portion sizes rock. Totally worth every penny. EDIT: Just found out the horrible manager/hostess that kept reaching over my fiancées head was let go. Also, the waiter James is awesome. That is all.

Wonderful place with excellent food and drinks! The best staff anywhere and easily a favorite place! It is a bit pricey so I reserve it for special occasions, but seriously think place is worth checking out. They have an awesome outdoor patio with a more casual and less expensive dining during the summer, plus live music on Friday/Saturday nights in the summer! The grounds are beautiful and the locally made wine is delicious too.

The patio bar was overpriced. Drinks in plastic cups for $9.00. The fish taco had 3 deep fried fish nuggets that were overcooked. Corn tortillas were hard and stale. Taco bell is better.

Fantastic winery and restaurant experience through and through. Initially you'll fall in love with the beautiful grounds all throughout the winery. There are plenty of terraces and outdoor seating decks to compliment the smaller amounts of seating indoors. The wine tasting was reasonably priced and let you try a good variety of what they had to offer, all of which I had tried were stellar, especially the Gewürtzminer white of you like something a bit sweeter. All of the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, from the bartenders to the hosts and waiters. The interiors of the buildings are gorgeous and well kept and is complimented with live music some evenings. The food over at the Granary was phenomenal and is also served in the main restaurant, but the bar in the granary is gorgeous and well stocked. Overall I have no complaints in the slightest and this location is a must visit for all wine lovers.

Went to have a good time and wasn't disappointed. We sat on the patio and there was love entertainment. The gentleman who performed was fun and kept the crowd going. We had their gourmet Italian pizza. It was very good and the service was great. Did a wine tasting which we thoroughly enjoyed. The grapes come from California and the wine is made at the winery. Loved it. The owners have done a lot to assure the customers are comfortable and have call they need.kudos to the owners. We will be back.

I was at the restaurant two weeks ago on a Sunday less about 45 minutes from closing and the restaurant was not busy. Dinner for two was not a good experience. The place is lovely, but the food did not stand out. I had a panchetta/scallops appetizer and one scallop was not even wrapped by the panchetta. Flavor was bland on a bed of cream corn and snap peas. Then, I had the petit filet(really wanted a good grilled steak). Instead, the steak was pre-cut, warm, not sizzling and the gravy for it was jelled on the side...must have been in the kitchen too long and who cuts a filet steak for you?....so it can get cold? Overall, not a good meal and expensive at the same time. The server was young, inexperienced and even brought or entrees out before we had finished the appetizer. Review by John Neuwirth. I would not recommend this place or go back.

Went to their food truck festival today.what a great idea/way to gather people at their beautiful location! Was able to meet some amazing people who love what they do by bringing good food to good people. I didn't get a chance to taste their wines over filled myself in the food and music. For sure will be back for a sampling. The staff was friendly, making sure trash was being taken care of in a timely manner and the bathrooms were clean too. You guys did a great job!
