I LOVE THIS WINERY. It's my favorite I have ever been to, if I lived in the area I would become a regular there. All of the employees are incredible and the land is just beautiful. I can't wait to come back!

Anne Gerrietts

This is a hidden gem! The wine and the food are great in a beautiful location. Lisa M. helped us out with not only the wine but to make it a fun experience for our whole group. Thanks and we will definitely be back!

Kristine Blauert

We went for wine tasting and liked the variety of choices. The flavors we're described well. Over all a very nice time. I thought the bottles to go we're a bit over priced.

Had my first visit to the Dragonfly Winery and loved it. The atmosphere, the wines, and the service were all terrific. Really appreciate their commitment to charitable giving as well. Outstanding place!

Justin Dritz

5 for wines 4 for service. Though to be fair sounded like they may have been understaffed in the kitchen. Sitting on their patio with a bottle of wine waiting for food isn’t bad at all on a beautiful afternoon. (1st world problems) Great location and facility, am looking forward to returning.

This is a lovely winery, and we are members of their club. They serve panini sandwiches and have a wonderful, casual atmosphere. They also do comedy nights, folk nights, sip and paint events, and other events.

We had our wedding at Dancing Dragonfly Winery and it was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much to Sonia for working with us and helping us with all of the details! It was perfect :)

We were out at Dancing Dragonfly Winery on Saturday 3.2.19 bringing our wine glasses for their wine tasting as we have for the last 5 years. Love the hour drive, which is only matched by the great wine and excellent and knowledgeable staff. It was busy, all enjoying a good time, conversation and purchases. A women standing next to me that I had a few brief conversations with (as we always do), the next thing she started to fall, I grabbed one arm made sure her head did not hit the floor looked behind the bar and montioned to the staff that she was down. One staff member, Laurie Z. came right over, bent down started talking to her in a very calm voice (it was a diabetic reaction), asking her all the important questions, she stayed with, talked etc. for at least 15 minutes, gave her some crackers, brought a chair over and something to drink. They eventual left. It was a very scary experiecnc but your staff member Laurie Z. Kept it calm, without fan fair. In short she was AWESOME! Thank you again for such a beautiful winery and great staff. Judy and Jean

As always, the wines are amazing! Our TR server Alyssa was amazing!!!!

Great wine and food, bad layout, long wait time and so so customer service.

Deb Chenoweth

Stopped there to do some wine tasting. There was 4 of us in the group. We have never been there before. We bought our chips and went to the bar. We stood there for about 20 minutes and watch everyone else get served. We couldn't even get eye contact from any of the servers. When a gentlemen came and stood next to me, with a couple minutes his glass was full. Then another couple came on the other side of him and they got served. At this point we all decided to leave and get our money back. Very disappointed and would not consider going back. Not a good experience and there are so many other wineries that the servers are friendly and you can get waited on. Not impressed at all.

Matthew Carlson

We stopped in for some wine and pizza, and we're pleasantly surprised with the quality and variety of both! The Flintstone pizza and Bills Waltz were great, so try either or both if you can. Would definitely recommend to anyone, regardless of experience or knowledge of wine/pizza.

Could not find a wine that I did not like

Trina Gentry

I tried to be a customer as I made a rare pass through their town, but they had no accommodations for sampling without the inclusion of their glassware. I have zero desire to add to the glassware in my kitchen nor the room, so I had to pass on making any purchase. I would have happily accepted even a $2 discount to let them keep the glass. Aside from that, the facility is beautiful and clean.

Very disappointed in the owners choices

Food, wine and ambiance is wonderful. Service is terrible. You order at the tasting bar (who seem annoyed your there), and are on your own after that. Why is there a tip line? No plates, sliverware (which is all disposable) unless asked multiple times, no water pitcher outside, no bussing tables, etc... But still paying for nicer service? Such a bummer as it's so beautiful to visit!

Tamara Hendrickson

All of my Wisconsin friends laughed at me when I said that you would not serve my 19 yr old daughter on our shared birthday. "It is the choice of the establishment." I can take her to any bar in the state for full sized beverages but she was not allowed 5 sips of wine with her mother. We'd planned our day around coming there, enjoying lunch and just having a girl's day. Nope, I went ahead and did the wine tasting but I think I already had a bitter taste in my mouth and did not enjoy any of the wines. Maybe state on your website " must be 21"?

Nicole G

Great wine. We really enjoyed doing the sampler and getting 6 wines. They have a wide variety and we enjoyed all that we tried. It was a bonus that with the tango sample you also get a sample of fudge. The out door patio is nice. The food was good as well. The pretzels with cranberry mustard was amazing. It was incredibly busy but we often got skipped over or very small pours compared to others which was really frustrating. Aside from the service it was a good experience.

I’ve had an awesome time every time I’ve been here! Had fun celebrating my husband’s birthday tonight. I’ve had Darla and Casey help us on different occasions and they were both so wonderful and knowledgeable!!!

Lisa Mccoy

We had a "girl's weekend" in the St. Croix River area and visiting the local wineries was one of our Saturday activities. We hit Dancing Dragonfly at the right time, because it wasn't too busy. We were able to do a tasting for 6 with the undivided attention of their wine expert. We ordered pizza and flatbread from their menu , which were good and ate out on their back porch gazing at the lovely grape vines. When we were leaving the party buses masses started coming. Whew, glad we missed that! It definitely would have affected our level of enjoyment. Advice.. time your winery visits at their slow times!!!! It's a lovely place!

Atmosphere and what really got the 5 stars was the service. Darla helped us out and was just awesome. Great recommendations and super friendly. Would definitely go back. Can't say much for the wines since I am still learning about wines but loved her suggestions and the service was great.

We had a rainy day that canceled our fun in other areas of Wisconsin. Stopped at Dancing Dragonfly and had a wonderful wine Bill's Minuet along with great food. Enjoyed our time and Maggie was fantastic helping us. We will visit again..

Sheila Holtberg

Laurie was awesome! She directed me through the extensive list of wines all from grapes grown at the vineyard. The tasting includes a souvenir wine glass.

Sarah Everson

Overall had a great experience at the winery today. The wine was fantastic but customer service was spotty...the first person to help us was extremely nice and knowledgeable on the menu. The second person to help us was hesitant to talk to us and wasn't very helpful. As someone who has bright blue hair and is heavily tattooed, I'm use to getting looked at differently, but in service you should put that aside. Second thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the $5 parking fee...there was a grape stomping festival happening, so I assumed that that's what the fee was for, so I let it slide. Hopefully that isn't standard for normal business. Again, overall a great experience and the few negatives won't hinder us from coming back.

Karen Langer

More expensive than I thought it would be, delicious.

One of my favorite wineries! Love all of the wines and the staff and food are amazing! Stop by for the music on Sundays, or the half price pizzas during Friday happy hour. It's worth the drive!

Delicious food, great scenery. We had the Promenade and some Jig for later. Jig was quite sweet, but the Promenade was perfect with our paninis on the patio.

Jean Dale

Great wine, great food, and great atmosphere.

Lynn Wineland

The wine very good, service at tasting bar deplorable. I asked to taste the raspberry wine, server asked me if I was buying a bottle. Wine terrific, I got bottle off shelf, server wanted me to take opened bottle. I've never been treated so poorly. Do your family business a favor and hire a people person who can talk with customers and up sell them We were there on a rainy Wed 6/6/18. Never again.

The other reviewers are right when it comes to trying to get service. We were there on a not-very-busy Saturday evening. We walked right up to one of several open spaces at the bar and were just ignored as bartenders refused to acknowledge we even existed. Would it be so hard for them to say something like "I'll be right with you"? When she finally comes over to us, she's very pleasant but nothing is said about the long wait. If it wasn't out in the middle of nowhere, we'd all be tempted to leave and go do the next corner bar. But no, you are stuck there so you wait. On another note, not that I'm some wine snob, but I don't particularly like the Frontenac grape so popular up here in the northern latitudes. But I do like the Marquette wines. When you look at the winemaker's notes for each wine it says which grapes are used but not the percentages. I'm looking for something that is mostly Marquette. So I ask the bartender if she can give me a better description. Nope. Not even when she ran to someone else. No one knew the percentages. We took our chances with Jete.

Kristin Johnson

I don't write reviews too often but my husband and I were so disappointed that we wanted to give people a heads up. The two stars are for the wine - it was VERY good. I will buy it at some point somewhere else. BUT I have never had such horrible customer service before. We went in for a tasting and it took atleast 10 min before someone said "i'll be there is a sec". Then atleast another 10 for her to come back and ask what we wanted. We put in our order for food (a pizza that was VERY good) and then my tasting and a beer for my husband. After we paid it was then atleast another 10 min for her to come back and take my chip for my first pour. While this was all going on there were other employees walking around, talking to each other and walking around aimlessly. For the number of employees and the number of customers at the "bar" at that time there is NO reason for these delays. We sat outside (beautiful patio) and every time I went back for a pour it was a 10-15 min wait. Each time the same situation of people walking around with not purpose, chi-chatting and staring off into space. I've been a bartender - I currently work in customer service. I am a fairly understanding person when it comes to service and people being busy - if they are truly busy. They failed literally at all levels - not just for me but several others at the bar were also extremely disappointed. Sorry but I will not be going back.

Best Christmas gift from my son! A club membership. We saved trip for my birthday in February due to all of our snow and cold and we are in love!! My son, husband, and I started out with a tasting. Darla was our host and she was so knowledgeable and treated us like royalty. Her expertise was beyond. We followed up with some baked goat cheese and then pizza. We tried four. We loved the the Gregory Hines with the fig preserve AMAZING. We will now leave with a Magnum of Bill's Waltz and we loved Bill's Bosanova as well. We will be back and my son had a great experience wine tasting for the first time.

Great place to visit. The employees are spectacular and very helpful. You can do a wedding, any kind of shower or whatever. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The wine is terrific. You can join their wine club. Its only a few miles from Taylor Falls, so its a good way to spend a day on the back roads.

Steven Johnson

Disappointing experience. Lovely exterior, beautiful vineyards, and the good stops there. Purchased Tasting for a group of seven, waited nearly 25 minutes AT the bar without a single acknowledgement, and as other patrons that had entered after us, were served first. Watched poorly trained staff struggle with tasks that should have been routine, poorly laid out back bar neccessitating excessive steps for servers, 2 trainees on a semi-busy Saturday. Approached the staff member at the door with concerns. Had a very respectful conversation, shared observations, returned to bar, waited another 10 minutes, cashed in our chips for a single pour, and left. This is not the fault of the staff, this is bad management. We won't be returning.

My favorite Winery in the region. As a general rule of thumb, any of their wines that have "Bill" in their name are going to be fantastic. Of all the wineries in the area, Dancing Dragonfly had more wines that I loved than any others. They also have a beautiful location, and a great staff. Well worth stopping by if you're in the Taylor's Falls / St Croix area.

One of the best wine tasting experiences ever!! Great wine and phenomenal service. Darla and Alyssa were the best!! We drove 180 miles and it was definitely worth it!! We are already planning our next trip back!

This place is awesome! Pro tip: try to go here when they're not super busy and your whole experience will be better! Also, their fall grape stomp festival is a GREAT time! Perfect place for any type of wine drinker.

To anyone reading Liz's review, below, you should know that she is a disgruntled ex-employee. Actually, the quality of service improved significantly at about the time she left the winery. Go figure.

Really like this winery. They offer many weekend activities throughout the year. Wine is good and so is the food. I would like to see a new process fit ordering food though. It's tough to get near the tasting bar where you currently order food...would like to see a separate counter for food orders.

It could be improved if they had waitress service at the tables. Allow a lot of time as it is Too slow of service time. You have to order at the "standing only" bar & during peak times you have to wait a long time to get service. The inside seating is cold & lacks coziness. Outside seating is ok but only if weather permits. And they won't refill your glass at the table. You have to go to the bar.

Rob Starbuck

Dragonfly 5th Birthday. Celebration with their first I've wine and cake. Very nicely done!

Laurie Mumm

What a wonderful night listening to some of the best Jazz music I have heard in a very long time! Gypsy Mania was a delightful group of extremely talented musicians who truly know how to entertain a crowd. We had a great time with superb wine and wood-fired pizzas! ! Thank you DDW for bringing in this wonderful group and for a very enjoyable evening When's the next one?!?

Travis Cerling

Great wines and friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed the Promenade and the Cha Cha the best.

Dane

3 stars because the wine is very good and the service not. Dragonfly has some of the best wine in the upper Midwest and their varieties are constantly good. However, the service at the wine bar is bad on weekdays and horrible on weekends. We have given up on tastings there because waiting 10-15 minutes between samples ruins the experience. And the staff is always new and generally has limited knowledge about their wines. Fortunately, we have been in their wine club and know the wines we like. So best bet to limit your waiting is to buy it by the bottle.

I mean wow. What else could you ask for. Fantastic wine (Marquessa is my favorite) and delicious food. Knowledgeable staff. Did I mention the amazing wine? Beautiful location as well. Great to sit and enjoy a bottle (or two). Did I mention the wine?

Absolutely beautiful and wine was really good! The fudge and dessert wine combos were delicious!

Jill Heinn

Great food and fantastic wine!!

Another lovely Midwestern winery. For being such a young winery, the showmanship is stunning. The tasting room, balcony, patio (and even the bathrooms) are put together with the finest touches. They have a nice array of wines that have delectable finishes. My favorite was the Jeté. It has a smooth smokey finish while maintaining a titch of fruitiness. I worry about their plans to expand the selection. While they currently offer about 15 wines, I'd hate to see distinct flavors get lost in a large list. All-in-all, an excellent visit.

Jennica Kosloski

Amazing wine beautiful relaxing place to be. Definitely some customer service issues. I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine about 10 minutes before closing time and the male manager told me no I couldn’t do that???? WHAT? Ended up he thought I wanted to drink it there. Which I didn’t. Even if I did he should have accommodated. All the girls behind the bar had their phones in their pockets, really tacky and unprofessional looking. The general manager seemed very overwhelmed, anxious and not put together. I’m pretty sure she had on a dress shirt with sweat pants and gym sandals. She talked like she couldn’t get the words out fast enough which just made everyone in my group feel rushed.

Scott Graham

Poor service and selfish place, bad to neighboring business
