Confederate Railroad was excellent. Kirkwood put on a great festival. Wine and moonshine tasting, premium cigars, and smoked beef were among the best booths. This event will be on my calendar for next fall.

Great winery and distillery with great people working there. Whether you drop in as a local trying to buy some malic acid and yeast booster for your home brew or you're an out of towner there for the tour and tasting, it's always a great time with great people. It's a small operation, but I can't recommend the tour enough. So much history packed in one place, and they know how to explain their product from still to barrel. If you're in the area, go have a great time, and consider picking up some supplies to make your own great wine or just enjoy their selection.

Reading the reviews, I almost thought we were in the wrong place. I do agree with everyone that these are very friendly folks, no doubt. But, when I asked questions about what I was reading on the labels, the man at the counter couldn't answer. We didn't ask for a tasting nor was there any indication they even did that but I felt we'd have little help sorting through the wines on our own anyway. There are a great many fruit wines mostly, but not all. Still, I wanted to try something so I chose a mead and an elderberry wine based on the reviews I read. Surely there is more to this winery than met our eye but I won't know until we get the wine home. I'm hoping the very friendly folks will translate into good wine.

The wine fest the 3rd weekend in September is really enjoyable. Lots of entertainment, wine tasting. Entry fee, but sample LOTS of wine. Well organized. Also have a distillary open on Saturday's only.

We really enjoyed stopping at this winery people are very friendly and we tried several very good wines,,,, but when we got home and opened the wine it tasted very different than the samples. Are apple wine was so bitter it tasted like it was not stored properly and had gone bad. Sadly we had to throw it out. Very disappointing
