By far one of the best vineyard in the area! Staff was great, scenary was amazing and wine selection was to die for for, of course. We stopped by this place for a honeymoon tour! Love this place, will come. Back in the future! Highly recommend!!

Cave Ridge has some of the best wines we have tasted from VA wineries! They have an excellent tasting room, and great views if you want to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine after your tasting. We were seated at a table with wine club members, and got great service from our tasting server Kelly. We asked enough really hard questions about the wines that Kelly eventually tracked down Randy the owner and winemaker. Randy treated us to some wine club only selections which were also excellent, and answered all of our questions. We got back to Cave Ridge in June 2017: Cave Ridge has some of the best wines we have tasted from VA wineries! They have an excellent tasting room, and great views if you want to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine after your tasting. I did the standard tasting and an additional Cabernet Sauvignon, and Danielle did the reserve tasting. Our wine server was pretty knowledgeable, but we asked enough really hard questions about the wines that she tracked down Randy the owner and winemaker. The Chambourcin was aged in medium plus plus barrels and combined with the flavors produced by the vineyard created the smokiest wine I have every tasted, and so good that I had to buy some for later!

My husband and I visited for our honeymoon and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We especially loved the wine tasting and great views as we sat on the patio. We purchased one bottle of wine to take back home with us. Can't wait to open it! We will definitely be back to visit!

Easily in the top five most beautiful vineyards in the state of Virginia. I've been to about 100 and this is easily top five in terms of beauty. The wines are excellent and the tasting is fun. Our tasters were Olivia and Holly. Beautiful ladies with great smiles and personalities to match. Huge plus.... They are VERY pretty friendly.

Beautiful location with many outdoor seating options on a pretty day. My husband enjoyed the excellent wine flight and we read books for 2 hours on the upper Adirondack chair grassy area. Live music was playing on Sunday which added to a restful and enjoyable afternoon.

One of the best wineries that I've been to. The atmosphere was excellent and the wines are very good. It's an excellent experience... grab some wine and site out on their patio while listening to live music. This is one stop you need to make if you're in the area. Thank me later!!!

The view is great, the winebis great, the staff are great, the owner Randy is fantastic, and its all priced extremely well. You could do a lot worse than stay for a few hours here on a weekend.

We had a great time at the vineyard. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth finding. Our guide through the tasting was very literate about the wines. Cost were about normal for bottles and tastings.

We did a tasting here for a bachelorette party and was by far our favorite winery! Randy is super knowledgeable about wine and everything we tried was delicious! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was welcoming. Overall, a great experience!

We would have loved to do a tasting here, but when we entered the tasting room we were not greeted or acknowledged in any way. Maybe we were supposed to do something prior to going up to the tasting bar? If so, it definitely wasn't clear. We waited for a while and then left, which is a bummer because the property was really lovely and the wines sounded interesting.

Nice selection of wines, knowledgeable staff during tasting. Enjoyed the Chambourcin 2012, will definitely be back and recommend a visit to anyone wanting to try them out. Nice atmosphere too.

Not really impressed by either the wines or the service. Did the full tasting, the best wine was "good" at best. They do have a syrah and a port (which based on other reviews we were looking forward to the port!) But both were underwhelming-we walked out disappointed and empty handed. Prices are on the expensive side for the area too (6 or 10 for the tasting with small pours, 35 for the port, 20-26 for the standard wines) would not recommend-Shenandoah vineyards is probably your better bet.

We had a great experience at Cave Ridge winery. Staff is very friendly and we enjoyed the tasting. The wines are delicious. The only negative thing is at the local Woodstock Café you can find the same wine for a much cheaper than at the winery. Don't let that deter you from visiting this winery. Do the tasting and enjoy your experience but buy the wines from the cafe.

Great view, great wines, wonderful people. We loved their dessert wines though we are red wine drinkers. The Taste of Shenandoah event is so fun every year. We plan to join the wine club and come back often.

Came from out of state and found this winery through a simple google search of what was nearby. We had an extremely pleasant experience. They have friendly staff with a great selection of wines. As well as a great environment to sit outside and enjoy a glass or two. Side note- they were also extremely helpful in helping us find some local attractions and had some great suggestions as well.

Make sure you get the cheese plate and the pepperoni roll! Only the reserve wines seemed worth drinking, the 2011 chambourcin was lacking, but the Fandango and bleu cheese combo was out of this world!

It was a surprising delight to visit this weekend. This location had French style red wines with a rustic fireplace lodge feeling. The staff were friendly and informative, and incredibly welcoming. All hail the fossil!
