First visit to Twin Oaks. Red wines pretty decent. Cabernet sauvignon is like no other I have tasted begore - its was sweeter than a typical Cab. Very fruit forward...if you like sweeter wines, this will be your perfect red. The Merlot was my favorite and the Red Rocks was my husband's favorite. I even liked their mulled wine. Our wine experience was admisteted by Nancy and she was fabulous. She was very friendly and made our experience feel as if we were at a friends home tasting wine.

Went there on a gloomy day with two of my besties, my 5 y/o daughter and my friend, and had such a relaxing and fun time. Stunning views, great coffee/wine/cheese & warm bread! My daughter sat next to the fireplace while listening to that lady singing some older songs and playing a guitar. Magical! It’s right off the main road, not really up the hill, but still great vies if the valley.

Relaxing and personable. Always a great place to drink some amazing wines, enjoy the local music and set out watching great views. It's our go-to place after hiking Ravens Rock, bears den or anyplace in the northern Virginia area. Well worth the drive here!

Let me say upfront that this review is strictly off the wine we bought, Red Rocks Red and the Make Me Blush which were both purchased in October of 2017 for a combined cost of approximately $50. Both bottles have been kept in a temperature controlled wine refrigerator since we bought them and both have gone to vinegar. Very disappointing since the wines we tasted when we were there were actually nice. Too bad considering the owner and staff are quite nice and they have a nice outside venue. Very disappointing on the nights we decided to break open a nice bottle of wine to find we had such a foul tasting wine in our glass.

Twin Oaks is a wonderful wine destination! We did the full tasting of 10+ wines. Afterward: The Lemon Chiller is a fantastic smoothie for wifey, I had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Very well done in French style. They learned wine making the long and hard way. It paid off. The owner, Donna, is a treasure trove of wine history. Such a nice place with great people! Come for the view of the Shenandoah valley or the wines.

Beautiful location, great wine & a wonderful staff. We stopped in today for a quick tasting and ended up spending more time than expected because we were having such great conversation with the staff. We've enjoyed every bottle we've ever had at the winery and brought home with us.

Nicely varied selection of wines - the tasting room and patios are comfortable and have a generous view of the Shenandoah. Light food options are a nice addition.

My husband and 9 month old came to this winery for a nice Saturday afternoon. When we walked inside the owner Donna took a glance at our family and continued to ignore us as we stood next to the wine bar, waiting for a tasting. She continued to ignore us and ask other couples if they need help, all the while purposefully ignoring my family. One of the couples that entered after us was kind enough to tell her we were ahead of them and she was forced to come over and help us. The first thing out of her mouth was oh you have your baby. “ I hope he is a good baby... I guess now you can bring a baby to a winery unlike a bar where you might be reported by child protective services.” I thought it was an extremely uncomfortable and unusual comment to make. Clearly she didn’t want us there with our child. There are so many wineries in the area that are accepting of families. Not to mention have far better wine. The wine was awful at TwinOaks and the owner is rude. Don’t go if you have a family or would like to enjoy a good glass of wine. You won’t find either there!

Returned again this year and the wines continue to be interesting and top notch. Gorgeous views, friendly service and great wines - what more could you ask for? We've found Twin Oaks to be kid-friendly - they provide coloring books, crayons and games. Staff are happy to tell you the history of the winery and answer questions. In addition to wine tastings, and wine by the glass or bottle, they have an expanded line of frozen wine chillers - I've had the lemon and spiced wine - and they now also have additional flavors such as raspberry, "vino colada" and more that are also worth trying, especially on a hot day. This is a great place to bring out of town guests to sample the best of Virginia wine country!

Stopped by last Sunday for a tasting. The view and ambiance are nice and the staff was super friendly. Unfortunately they had amplified guitarist in the same room as the wine tasting, so it was difficult to hear what we were told about the wines. There was also a large bridal party which made it crowded and loud. The selection of variety is heavy on the whites with fruity influences, there is a nice Norton if you like reds. We bought a couple of reds to age a few years as they are good but young.

Excellent! This is everything a winery should be. Cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the valley. The wines were amazing! My friend and I had the entire tasting list and every wine was great! The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly, we had conversations about the wine, pets and the local area. It is great when the staff makes it a personal experience and makes you feel like a welcomed family member. I will be back next weekend and will be a regular from now on! 5 stars today and every day. Stopped by Saturday afternoon and had a fantastic experience! We came in for a tasting and ended up staying for a few hours to relax and have some wine and cheese. They had fabulous live music and a beautiful view from a large comfortable deck. Staff was friendly and fun, especially Jackie and Meredith behind the counter. Definitely worth a stop - be sure to try the frozen wine chillers!

I'm not a frequent consumer of wine and do not have much knowledge or experience with tastings. After this experience, I could very easily become an avid wine taster. I came here on a date with a woman who loves wine. The venue was scenic and had a beautiful view of the horizon. We were the only two people in the entire winery on a Monday afternoon which gave us a more personal and private feel. The lady working behind the counter was extremely friendly and informative. My date and I both had a tasting and were given several bonus tastings. By the end, we had each tried about eight wines including a mulled wine and a wine chiller. Afterwards, we each ordered a glass of chilled raspberry wine and sat out on the patio. All in all, it was a fantastic and romantic experience. We will be back again in the cooler months for that mulled wine by the fireplace!

As always, Twin Oaks has the most amazing view of the Blue Ridge mountains. They've expanded their tasting room to optimize the view. I had the blush, which was nice and light, very refreshing for a warm afternoon. Service was excellent, and they're very dog friendly.

One word AMAZING..!! the wine is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. They make a house made lemon wine chiller and spice wine chiller that is ABSOLUTELY amazing.. a must try. Also there is a local musician that comes in and play named Gary Smallwood that sounds soooo FRICKEN amazing .. definitely a soul brotha

Beautiful location and ambience. Staff was kind though it seemed to have been a very busy day for them so they were perhaps a bit behind on their game. Tasting room is nice but it's the deck that's to die for. I could sit out here all day. The wine is good for Virginia. Either way, we felt obliged to add a review because the woman next to us was very rude to them when they started to close up and claimed she was going to "post all over social media." I was appalled with this woman's behavior and found her very rude.
