Beautiful views, as with much of the surrounding area, but the service was terrible (VERY small tastings). We had a bottle of the Blanc wine and it tasted horrible. Will NOT be going back to this place.

The Trump winery is a must visit when visiting Monticello. For the price of the tasting you get the glass and they really give you a tasting with some glasses being half filled. It was a very good thing I was the designated driver. I bought several bottles to try at home. It is a fairly large tasting room and the scenery was beautiful.

I have to say that the wine and food were outstanding! To my surprise, the wine was really good! Views were incredible! Napa without the plane fair.The staff made us feel so welcome, they without a doubt exceeded our expectations. I can't wait to go back! I also have to say,kudos to Allison that is apart of the staff for making my son feel special. She noticed that he was being well behaved and brought him in the back for a can of sprite and some chocolate bars to take home! He hasn't stopped talking about it.

Came to enjoy some wine and the view for my wife's 40th. Turned away at the door for "at capacity." There was clearly plenty of room outside. And plenty of parking. We stated that we weren't there for a tasting and that we just wanted to buy a couple bottles of wine. I'm just writing this in the hope that the management reads this and can match the date with "guy" manning the door today. Please feel free to contact me. Unacceptable. No one needs this kind of drama after driving 45 minutes from Wintergreen. Oh by the way, Blenheim was fun!

I went here on a wine tasting trip with some alumni from my college. The whole experience was sub par. After seeing the gilded "Tump" sign in the front, I was expecting some wine to match that quality. It was even worse. In my opinion, the scenery doesn't make up for the terrible business practices. It felt like I was at the DMV with the waiter only doing things his way and not listening to outside suggestions. After being warned about earlier reviews, we asked that the waiter pour us a decent serving, but alas, it was even lower than the people next to us. I guess that's what happens when you try to voice your opinion. Not a worthwhile time.

The wine is "eh." The views are very pretty but there are beautiful views at almost every Charlottesville winery. The food also isn't as good as it used to be. The service was slow. Not a terrible place but near the bottom of my list, as wineries go in our area. Go to Blenheim instead.

While personally not a fan of the President's policies, I am going to give an unbiased review. The tasting room was beautiful and is actually located across the street from the winery. I ordered the standard flight ($12) that gives you 4 wines and the glass. Everything was good but my favorite was the sparkling. They did offer a special sparkling flight for $20. There are some epic views from the back. Staff was very friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience.

We felt welcome from the moment we walked in, and were able to enjoy stunning scenery, and absolutely amazing Wines, in a wonderful setting! The wines were delicious, the best that we tasted today despite visiting eight wineries, and the service was top-notch! Highly recommend for the wine enthusiast, you will not be disappointed!

When you think of Trump you think they place is going to be outrageous, but surprisingly it was very reasonable for a glass of wine. The view was great, also it isn't as stuffy as I thought it would be which was a pleasant surprise for us, (I thought it was going to be all snobbish, but it was just relaxed/classy) The wine selection is on the dryer side for the reds and whites you can blur the lines with a little champagny to sweeten the taste which is what I enjoyed. Overall, for the nostalgia, I would recommend.

My mom and I went on a girls trip visiting about a dozen or so wineries in the area. This winery would definitely be on the lower end if I lined them up by favorites. It's very small and way too fancy for a winery. The views are ok. The prices are very high. The food was not very tasty. Now as for the wine: disgusting! Some of the worst wine I have ever had. I kept the glass anyway just for a souvenier. I was expecting better.

My husband and I stopped here on a whim after visiting Monticello. It was very busy! We had never done a wine tasting before and we were unsure how that worked. We worked our way in at the bar and a very nice lady took care of us. I loved the wine and was so happy we got to keep the glasses. We didn't order food but we saw what other people had ordered and it looked great. I would love to go back.

The worst tasting experience we have ever had. The winery was busy at first but by the time we made it to the counter to taste the wines, everyone had cleared out. It took forever in between each wine and we had multiple people to explain each one. We almost got to the point where we were going to walk out. There was no reason for such poor service. We thought with such a well known name we would have had an exceptional wine tasting. We will not go back nor recommend. Blenheim winery was much better!

Trump Winery — the views were breathtaking. The back patio was spacious and backed up to a beautiful backdrop of mountain scenery and Adirondack chairs. We were there for a bachelorette and got a ton of great pictures — despite the rain. I would’ve loved to spend more time there and will definitely be back! The only downside: We weren’t allowed to have outside snacks in the tasting room.

Really the only thing this place has going for it is the view which is fantastic. Other than that the food is average at best and the wine taste very generic and is way overpriced IMO. All you're really paying for is the name... "Trump". There are many other choices in the area that not so commercialized.

Reasons to go to Trump Winery: -Part of a scenic, historic estate; -Tented back patio overlooks fields that are home to bald eagles; -Mouthwatering cheeseboard; -American flag flying proudly on site; -Decent sparkling wine; -Luxurious, individual bathroom stalls; -A Riedel souvenir tasting glass. Used to love this place until we tasted with James. James was rude as can be, we miss Cullen. James poured 5 microscopic tastings for $12 per person. Couldn't even taste the wine. 1/3 of an ounce. He was visibly upset we asked to try one that wasn't on the sheet that he gave to people beside us. He also denied our friends the industry discount, saying it didn't exist like it has for years. So much for bringing our friends there again.

The trump vineyard is has some of the best views of all the vineyards visited thusfar. The wine selection is good, but I admit, not as robust as some of the other local vineyards. The food is excellent on the other hand. Highly recommend the rosemary ham sandwich.

We had an awesome experience The wine was excellent And we spent almost $400 purchasing wine , membership and lunch. However the service was disappointing at the end. We were told that our case of wine would be carried to our car because I have a bad back we finished our lunch and asked to have help bringing the wine to our car. The gentleman behind the bar took it to the front step and dropped it and went back inside. Your security guard came to our rescue and carried it to the car for us. Our sales server Lisa was fantastic and Did a great job of up selling This is our second trip each time we come north we are stopping and we love the winery and your wines. This one experience just left us with a bad taste and killed the whole exciting experience for us. We came off our regular route of route Us 95 to visit the TRUMP winery and were very disappointed

An incredibly beautiful winery. All of the employees were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The wines were excellent and reasonably priced. The Sparkling Blanc de Blanc and CRU are unbelievable. Unlike some of the negative reviews that I suspect are more politically motivated, I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable trip. A must for anyone that appreciates admiring beautiful views and sipping wine.

Yesterday was my last trip to the winery for several reasons and will cancel my membership. 1. Wine tasting is $$$ 2. They no longer have complimentry wine tasting for wine club members but, they do offer a 25% discount on tastings. 3. They no longer offer wine club pick up, they will mail your selections to you for an added $$$. 4. Tasting room hours are 10 am - 4 pm. They told us, it was the industry norm. 10 am REALLY!! I guess it's 5 o'clock somewhere. Most of the wineries have tasting hours 11 - 5/530.

I was at the winery today to have bridal pictures taken as we are a month away from wedding date. As I approached front door of tasting room I was told that this was not allowed. I had called mid-August to check on this. I was told that it would be fine, no charge, and what areas photos could be taken. Well after scheduling the photographer and taking the time off , this was a moment that needed to happen since our timing is a month away and a treasured moment for my daughter. After hesitation the GM says I'll give you thirty minutes...really who can do all of that in thirty minutes and since you didnt allow this . After a big let down and my daughter being crushed, she calls Blenheim just up the road and they welcomed us whole heartedly. Great public relations and much more than I can say for Trump winery.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and facilities. We opted for a wine tasting, the wines (9) were very good. It was busy, but I was hoping for a little more information on each bottle. We were at the outside bar because we had a dog with us. I think the inside tastings were a little more educational. We didn't order from the menu but the sandwiches and cheese trays looked delicious. A lot of people had brought their own picnic baskets and coolers. If you go, plan on at least a couple of hours to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

For all those five star reviews, there's always just a couple of "winers", who obviously never actually visited the Winery. We visited today, 3 May 2019, and the service and wines were great. Had five tastings, Cru wine was 110%. Wow. Worth the trip, just down the road between Albemerle and Jefferson wineries.

Visited the first week of August 2017. The region is beautiful and worth the time to explore. However, the Trump Winery is an experience that should be passed on. Diligently and enthusiastically we tried to find a wine to buy that didn't taste bitter or upset our stomachs, sadly, we walked away without a single bottle. It was that bad. Our group also tried eating, but after receiving the food, each of us smiled at each other, paid the overpriced bill and went down the road for a good meal. Summary: Horrible wine, the food is sub-standard and everything is over-priced and over-hyped. The location is fantastic, but the establishment left a very bad taste that lingers for a long time.

We popped in today and just had an amazing experience! Clark attended to us and we certainly were made to feel like we were his only customers. The wines were easy to drink and the menu was fantastic! We would come back!

I was quite disappointed. The service was more or less o.k, not the level that I am used to. The champagne is not more than three stars out of five. The Chardonnay less than average unfortunately.

Meh, it's all about the name. Wine is not all that great. Will say the setting is nice and great view of mountains. Psst... Dave Mathews winery is just down road. Much better quality wine and great view as well. :)

Great addition to your stay next door at Trump' s Albemarle Estate. Terrif environment, great staff and good product. Lively atmosphere. Usually a line at the door when they open.

Best Vineyard in Central Virginia. Especially love the Cru, fortified wine! Don't believe the fake reviews here from people that have never been to the winery. The wine are the same as the previous owner but the prices have been reduced by 30%. If Kluge's wines were great at $35 a bottle they must be better at $25. Also the views and the food here are the best out of every vineyard in the area with only Pippin Hill being in the same league.

Wow, the Trump Wynery is simply fantasstic! A fabulus place! A sooper expeereeence and they made me feel soooo welcome! I will be coming back reel soon to expearieance the tasteing and buy up an other kase or 2 of Trump wynes! I encoorage everone reeding this to make a a bealine for Charlotesvile and buy another kase of Trump wyanes!

I feel everyone thinks you have to go here if you lean a certain political view. False (Dwight Schrute Voice). It’s just a beautiful view with some pretty good wines. Go and enjoy.
