the service was absolutely amazing. 5/5 will definitely be back ❤️

Justin McPherson

A nice relaxing winery about an hour away from DC in Clifton VA. The tastings are 15 per person and usually have live music when it’s not raining. Bottle prices can be anywhere between 24 and 31 dollars. They are dog friendly and it’s a great place to bring your kids. Next time you’re Clifton VA, stop by.

Becca M

Beautiful winery with rolling hills and surrounded by trees. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the wine was tasty, and there are cheese plate options for sale.

Amy Stidham

Great wine, super customer service. Love it!

albert burkhalter

Very busy. Loud atmosphere. Not the best tasting wine. More like a bar really.

Highly disappointed with this winery and their disrespectful staff! I've been here numerous times and I've never been treated so poorly! My boyfriend and I arrived at the winery at 6:20pm and after some debate on which to get, ordered a bottle of the Norton and a Petit Manseng for two of our other friends who were on the way. The girl serving us specifically asked us "for here or to go" of course we said for here so she opened both. (They close at 7pm on Saturdays by the way) a few minutes after 7 there was still a large amount of people outside drinking and one of the guys working there approached our table and said we had to leave due to a private event inside. We had our glasses of wine full so decided to go to one of the picnic tables near the parking lot to simply finish them. Suddenly two guys come by in a golf cart rudely and aggressively raising their voices at us literally treating us as if we were some criminals! Specifically this one guy with a hat on not sure if he was some wannabe security guard or not. He said they had told us "numerous" times to leave the property! (LIES!) We had to quickly finish our glasses of wine since they were insisting on getting their wine glasses back and we proceeded to our cars. Not sure why they felt the need to walk right behind us and follow us to the cars it was so unnecessary! My friends and I were briefly talking about where to head next and the two guys kept rushing us and said they were not going to move until we drove off and sat in their golf cart and literally waited until we left! Their behavior was by far the worse customer service I've ever received! After we left I looked towards the winery and there were still large groups of people outside I wonder if they all got rushed out and yelled at like we did?! Probably not If you guys close at a particular time maybe you should have last call at a certain time or have your staff not ask if a wine bottle is for "here or to go" after a period of time especially if your staff is going to be rushing people away after! Also we did ask for their names and they quickly without hesitation covered their name tags! Goes to show you how responsible and unprofessional this staff is

Awesome scenery from the vineyard to the barrels inside. Family and dog friendly. Plenty of outdoor seating on the patio and the lawn. Oh, and great wine! Tip: bring food.

Went with a friend and have to be to several in the area. It was crowded and the people were unfriendly. Once we got up to the bar for the tasting we were rushed through, didn't get any answers to our questions and charged twice for a glass. Went with a friend and have to be to several in the area. It was crowded and the people were unfriendly. Once we got up to the bar for the tasting we were rushed through, didn't get any answers to our questions and charged twice for a glass. When picking a bottle to have on their patio we were met with huffs, puffs and toe taps. Due to the crowd my glass was knocked out of my hand and broken. Went up to the lady to try and get a replacement, she was understanding and said "of course I can get you another glass", I was grateful and waited for her to return. Only she went back behind the bar, did a few things, came back, walked by me and just smirked. I mentioned the glass again and ended up walking out after waiting for 30 minutes for a replacement that never came. The wines were okay but the service will keep me from ever going back or recommending others to do so. Maybe it's only certain staff members but the damage has been done.

Steve George

Beautiful scenery. Quiet location. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Wine was terrific.

Caroline Maunakea-Hammonds

One of the best wineries in the area in my opinion. We have been coming here for years and are loyal wine club members, and my brother even worked here as a wine educator and then as a tour director for a time. So wonderful to have this place in Fairfax County! The wines are amazing, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. You can bring in your own snacks, and it is very family friendly. If you haven't been give it a try, you won't regret it! Cheers!

Nicholas Doty

Fun place. Very busy, great atmosphere, nice patio and area surrounding. It's a haven for soccer moms.

Allison Conti

Paradise Springs is my favorite Virginia winery and I keep coming back for more. I have visited the winery for a tasting event, a winery tour, and just to grab a bottle and relax with friends and every time I have enjoyed myself. The facilities are gorgeous and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My favorite spot is the outside patio, where they often have live music playing.

Cesar Chong

This is a very Family and pet friendly destination. We attended a baby shower here. Great atmosphere outdoors and indoors. There were plenty of benches and picnic tables outside; enough to have your own space from other parties. We tried the Chardonnay 2016 and we liked it. The staff was welcoming and overall a good vibe.

Jennifer Pierce Link

Our favorite third location. The reds are top notch. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and contribute to our desire to return repeatedly.

shari spriggs

Excellent winery close to home. Quite impressed. You can bring outside food and pets are allowed only outside. Had fun. Will definitely visit again.

Zaid Jumaily

Amazing place. They allow outside food. Peaceful place and tasty wine. Enjoyed it so much.

Eric Shaw

Great winery close to DC. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting room and back patio are very nice. Wines are generally pretty good. The Petit Verdot is the best.

Taylor Swartz

Great experience and wonderful selection of wines. Thomas set us up with a great tasting and did a wonderful job of educating our group on the various offerings. Mathew, was kind enough to show us around the property and educate us on the production process.

Daniel Pate

Wine we had was decent, but the staff was terrible. Unorganized when we arrived, cleaned off a table when the couple wasn't finished yet, and then started flipping chairs, etc 20 minutes before close. The worst though was when someone came to our table 8 minutes after close and told us to leave. We said we were finishing an email and would be gone in 3 minutes - the guy said "no, leave now". My wife and I have been in the service industry for several years and it was just a ridiculous interaction. I realize we were staying past close, but we weren't causing the staff to stay any later than they normally would. It takes a little time to close down an establishment like that and even though they started well before the actual closing time (which they shouldn't have) - they still had 3 minutes of work left to complete...for sure. Wont be going back - the staff doesn't create an enjoyable atmosphere to drink wine.

Neil Miles

The location is very nice, with woods all around. The red wine we got was very good. For those reasons I gave the stars. However, I go to wineries for the typically peaceful adult environment, but this place was full of kids. There was live music but very few tables on the patio, which was the only place the music could be heard. We never heard it because the main room is very loud and it's not really a comfortable setting either. We got a "meat & cheese combo" which contained a few slices of prosciutto and salami, with 3 large chunks of cheese. The ratio was too heavy on cheese, by far. I didn't care much for their baguette either. It was very crusty and they gave us only a plastic knife to cut it. The place reminded me more of a tourist trap than a winery. Not relaxing to me.

Thomas Francisco

Wine was great. Staff and service was very disappointing. Really liked the place too...

Mark Monson

It's a great place to get away, drink wine, and socialize. The building is quite spacious and there is LOTS of room on the grounds for a picnic. It's a jewel in the heart of Fairfax County.

Yogini Singh

This is a very good place for hangout. It has good ambience.. you can spend a whole day here in summer time and also you can carry your own food ..

Megan Burgess

Some of these reviews are hilarious. I am here to say that this winery is simply one of the best. I've celebrated two birthdays and several unbirthdays and everything from the views (beautiful, rolling hills!) to the staff to the wine has always been top-notch. Sure, it can get crowded since (1) it's the closest winery to DC, and (2) people love it here and keep telling their friends and family about it. Everyone who is complaining needs to just chill, ha.

Jonathan Harar

Excellent wine!! Think that I liked one of the blends the best. Got to do a tasting, they know their stuff and that makes it fun.

Rhea Byrd

Love this place

Jess

We went to this winery on a Monday night so the place wasn't very busy. Matthew was wonderful and took his time chatting with us about the different wines. He was extremely knowledgeable and easy to chat with. It was kind of rainy so we didn't get to walk around much but the inside was very nice and the porch looked like a great place to hang out with a glass of wine. Would definitely go back!

Mark Dixon

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable; willing to take the time to help you learn about each of their wines and wine in general. Grounds are very well kept with multiple places to sit outside or inside.

Michael Hunter

We had a great time at Paradise Springs Winery. It is very conveniently located for Northern Virginia wine lovers. We paid for the tour and tasting, having a wonderful time throughout. The tour includes a visit to the 18th Century log cabin, expanded in the 1950's; the small on-site vineyard with an explanation of the French vineyard methods used; the production facility; and the storage spaces where the wine is aged. There were were only two of us on the tour, scheduled for 60 minutes. We didn't look at the clock before we realized that we had spent 1 hour 40 minutes with our guide. He was very knowledgeable about wine and fermentation in general (I make my own sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi), and gave excellent explanations of each wine and the history of the family and vineyard. I can heartily recommend the tour or tasting. If you don't care for the tour, stay in the grand room for a tasting or for by-the-bottle or by-the-glass wine. They have charcuterie to snack on, or bring your own food. During our Saturday visit, a band was playing on the winterized porch. I did have a question about one of the winery's claims -- that the property was deeded to the Kincheloe family in 1716 and inherited through the generations to the present-day owners. A map that they display at the cabin has a plot labeled as granted to the Kincheloe family, but not the plot where the winery is today. In any case, Kinchloe Road and Kinchloe family cemetery are very nearby. I'm curious to understand the history of the grants in the context of their claim -- but I think they can rightly claim ~300 years of history in the area.

Jessica Thomas

I go to a lot of wineries and this was definitely one of my favorite experiences, primarily because of the pourer, his name was Kyle. Kyle was so knowledgable, personable, and professional. He went above and beyond what I'm used to. Because of him I finally learned why 2015 was such a good year for so many wines. My group also really enjoyed the reds they offered. Things are a little pricey, for four tastings, some cheese, and a bottle of wine we spent nearly $200, so it was a little irritating that the glass wasn't complimentary with the tasting, but that's nit picking. Thoroughly enjoyed and will go back again.

Caroline Taylor

Such a great place! Great staff, great space, great wine.

mra6

Beautiful place. Wine we had was Noth ng special.

Stephen S

Great wine slow wifi

Eric Jackson

Had a fantastic wine tasting here with Sophia serving us. Great wines! Ended up going home with 4 bottles for later.

Carsten Dreesbach

A beautiful setting, nice wines, great meat and cheese platters, and half an hour drive away - what more can you ask for?

Lesley Estrada

Over priced for nothing not the greatest winery I've been too.

The Beauty Chronicles

Henry and Jackie were amazing at wine tasting, gave us a lot of information and were very knowledgeable! Henry had to take over for Ed who completely ignored us and didn’t tell us anything and just poured the glass and Jackie was very friendly and talked with us throughout our time there. Beautiful place and will definitely come back.

Trang Ouk

Pleasant local winery with great atmosphere, decent wines (red melange and nice chilled rose are good options), weekend entertainment, and outdoor picnic areas. On-site parking may be a little hard to find during nice summer weekends, but there is plenty of atreet parking within a few minutes walk.

ERICA MARK

Nice place to relax with friends. Kid and dog friendly. The wine is a touch pricey but, the over all experience is worth it.

Autumn Edwards

For a Virginia winery it's not great. The wine is ok at best and pretty pricey. The building and parking is always crowded too. If you are looking for a more commercial experience then I guess it's ok...

Jaclyn Gardner

Had a great time here today. There were a lot of reviews about "rude staff"...well there must have been some changes since then because everyone we encountered was very friendly. Luke gave us our wine tasting, he was very knowledgable and we had a pleasant conversation as well. The area is beautiful and the atmosphere very relaxing. My husband also enjoyed having a beer and a cigar outdoors. I was impressed with the wine and bought 2 bottles. All in all a great experience.

Denise Zelaya

Great experience. Celebrated my sisters 39th birthday. We did the tour and it was a nice experience. We then bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed it in one of their picnic tables. We did not know that you were allowed to bring your own snacks so we will definitely be doing this again!

Christina Vanecek

I will never return to this winery. The management of this winery ruined a planned birthday party through their rudeness and aggressiveness toward my family. There are too many other wineries in the area to waste my time or money here. The wine isn't even that great, either.

Elizabeth Harris

Fantastic place to come for a glass of wine or do a tasting! Affordable for the quality and you can bring your own food!!!

Matthew Ballantyne

This is a FANTASTIC winery! Michael, one of their wine educators in the tasting room is the highlight of the experience. He's polite, he's engaging, he takes you through all aspects of wine creation while also putting on the best show to ever occur in a winery. He's very much worth the trip!

Scotty ST

A wonderful hidden gem in the dc area. Come here and try the wines. Come with friends and share the meat and cheese platter with a bottle of wine to share. There are many spots to eat and drink throughout the vineyard. Staff was helpful and friendly.

C. Ashe

I recently visited Paradise Springs Winery with some friends and it was a pleasant experience. We sampled multiple wines, purchased a few bottles, and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Being my first visit I wasn't aware I could bring my own food which is a welcoming feature, so next visit I'll be sure to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the patio while sipping some awesome wine and listening to some very relaxing music.

Mary Promo

Nicely tucked in suburban Clifton VA, this winery is a dream place for romance, wedding, group events. Fans of nature, peace and quiet, will love coming here. From the entrance, one may have the deceptive feeling of a small operation. But it is actually bigger toward the back, picturesque and the staff is very nice and attentive. It's even more amazing to find out that they make wine on the premises. This is definitely a gem, less than an hour from the Nation's Capital. You've got to experience this one of a kind.

Ricardo M. Taylor

A wonderful afternoon!

Molly Daniel

They don't seem to handle large parties very well. I visited with 12 people during the week, we called ahead, and it seemed like we were disturbing them. Didn't feel welcomed and will not return. Wine tasted great but considering the staff, I can find a better all around experience.

Sean McElroy

Winery by Clifton, VA. Can be crowded and loud during the weekends in the summer. Much better experience during the winter by the fire with good wine with some cheese and bread. Wines are getting better here every year. Live band and special events happen here. Large wine tasting bar to sample with knowledge staff.

Tom Balint Jr

Awesome atmosphere winery close to D.C. with great wine and fun events. Roaring fires in winter and plentiful picnic areas in warmer weather.

Ron Mecredy

Very nice winery tucked away in the woods with plenty of parking. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. There is food to order but I didn't see a menu.

Janel Nixon

This place is gorgeous. Love the multiple options for outdoor and indoor spaces. Love that you can bring your own picnic. Love that they have a designated kid free space on the patio. The only thing I don't love is that they ruin their otherwise perfect ambiance with blaring loud music from awful bands. Wish they would take away the mics and speakers and keep it acoustic only. If they made this one change it would be perfection.

Alan Hanks

Very knowledgable tour guides. Delicious wine. This place also has live bands.

Adam Reeves

We have been here twice. The first time was when I proposed to my fiance and the second time was to get married there on the property. The staff was very accomodating and the wines aren't bad at all. If I had to pick one negative, it would be the price for the wines. The wines we had were good but, in my opinion, overpriced. Pretty building/property and really good hiking trails on the adjacent property.

Nicky Coogan

This winery has a beautiful location , atmosphere etc. It is so loud inside the winery that you can't have conversations easily. It was super crowded, babies, and dogs too- a bit chaotic. ( The restrooms only had 2 stalls and a long line).

Jon Markman

Still not really sure how they make enough money to make this all work out, but if you get a chance to come here for a beautiful afternoon, do it!

Randy Hopkins

Awesome experience. Great atmosphere for a great price!!Swagger wine was delicious and the tour guide Ed was outstanding. Could not have picked a better wine tour and tasting for our 11tg wedding anniversary!

Peter Barcher

Great wines and beautiful grounds.

Kristen Hoefke

September or October at PS is always amazing. Favorite picnic spot.

Ben Brown

So the wines have improved and will likely continue to improve. My biggest knock on them is their prices. They could afford to knock 5 dollars off of allnof their bottles and get an extra star. There are better winieries in the area, but this one is the closest in to dc. They are usually busy because of that so come prepared.

Dominick Bellizzi

Wine was very good. Lots of space to sit inside and outside. Huge area for kids to play. Dogs welcome.

David Plate

Extremely poor service. Won't be back

Jocelyn Donald

Attended the Father's day pig

I really liked going to Paradise Springs Winery, up until yesterday, 4/23/17. We had my sister'site 40th birthday party there. We were outside, in the lawn picnic area. We followed the rules of no more than 12 per group on the back deck. We followed every rule and there is alot, while we were there. We purchased atleast 20 bottles and atleast atleast 10 people did a tasting, out of the 25 of us that were there. Thats $120 we spent on tastings and each bottle is anywhere between $25 - $40. So average was probably close to almost $1,000 spent on wine. Whether we bought for there and some even bought to take home. We spent alot of money there. We provided our own food and everything else. We kept to ourselves and had a great time. We made sure to clean up everything, even took our glasses and bottles back up to winery. We might have been a little loud at times but we were OUTSIDE, to ourselves not bothering a single person. People were outside on the front patio, making noise and their kids running around screaming yet the minute our group, got a little loud, we started to be watched like hawks from the staff. There were 2 gentlemen that stood out there, staring at us with their arms crossed, trying to intimate us, for the last hour and a half that we Were there. Then at one point there was 6 employees out there staring at us, again with arms crossed and talking about us. Now if someone made a complaint, then someone from your staff should have came to tell us. Don't stand there and watch us like they were in the Nazi army or something. It was very very very rude and made us very uncomfortable. Very unprofessional on their part. Theyou also under their breath were taking about how we needed to leave but never ONCE came down to tell us. Someone from our group was walking out of the winery, from the bathroom and heard them. Then I was trying to ask them where I could throw our trash bags away and got complete attitude. There is other stuff to list too. I have visited this winery several times and enjoyed going there. The wines are good and was a nice environment. I even spoke to the Events director, before hand, so their staff knew we were coming. No one got out of control. We just were there enjoying the day. Everyone was safe leaving. Just very unprofessional of the staff at Paradise Springs Winery. If there was an issue, we are all adults, come tell us, so we could have corrected the issue. Don't stand there to TRY to intimate us to force us to leave. We will not ever be coming back to this winery again. It's a shame too because it was a good one.

Kim Rippy

GREAT wine, great service!! Wonderful experience! Jackie is full of knowledge, and was so sweet to us during our tasting. The best vineyard in the NOVA area!!!!

Sean Whitfield

As a parent of young kids, this place was great! There is plenty of space away from the main house where kids can run around and play and not seem to bother anyone. Plus the big hill is excellent for wearing them out! Oh and the wine is great too!

Erin Danaher

This is my second visit and have not been disappointed. It is a beautiful place both inside and out. They have a covered back deck great for the fall weather. Dogs are welcome but outside picnic area only. Get there early on the weekends because they get busy quick.

JB Kolod

Its often crowded but usually with live music and the wine is surprisingly decent, it may be in the middle of "nowhere" but the roads leading to it are some of Virginia's best. It makes for a great Sunday to drive out here and spend a few hours relaxing, drinking wine, and listening to music. Side note: not the most dog friendly, maybe leave your pup behind because they are only allowed in certain areas and not on the big lawns where you would expect.

Rafael Ramos

Best wine in DC area

norma marty

I am traumatized at the way the security guards Shane and Joe treated myself and my friends. I work at a different winery and never had people treated us badly. If there is an issue when you purchase a glass or a bottle close to closing the employees need to tell us before we go seat outside in the picnic tables not even close to the structure. Or stop serving at a certain time. I have enjoyed the wine here and been coming for years. However, I will not be coming back.

christopher

Had an unopened bottle of wine stolen off our table while we used the restroom. Then staff and management treated us poorly when we explained the incident to them. They acted as if we were trying to hustle them. As first time customers, we were shocked at their lack of customer service. Its bad enough some of their patrons are theives. The whole ordeal left a poor taste in our mouths.

Alexis Bautz

If I had the option, I would give them zero stars. My friends and I went to this winery while on a bachelorette party. I have never been treated so rudely in my life - the staff did not like us from the moment we walked in and treated us as such. The older man leading our wine tasting was even talking about us to the people next to us. We are all very respectful adults and were planning to have a relaxed day at this winery. The staff was so ridiculous that even the locals that were sitting near us made comments to the staff and tried to stand up for us. Now that I have seen the similar stories on google, I wish we had read the reviews before deciding to come to this winery. I HIGHLY recommend that you do not come here.

Mike Brown

Beautiful

Christine Powell

Had a wine tasting with Lizzie. She is a wine enthusiasts and a great conversationalist. The wine is one of the best in the tri-state area. We love this place!

Zachariah Laugen

Enjoyable experience. A lot of room to host your own party! So much room that theres still enough room to find a spot in the grass in the shade and enjoy a glass of wine. Pet friendly place and very friendly staff!

Tihomir Petrov

Horrible.. I did a wine tasting and they told me I could have the glass. On my way out the bartender literally tore the glass out of my hands. I don't know what the hell is wrong with these people

Matt DiNuzzo

Good amount of land and tables. Great spot to hang out with friends and sip some wine. Don’t sleep on the cider either.

julia ziegengeist

My boyfriend and I traveled to Paradise Springs from Alexandria. This winery is so beautiful and great to hang out and have a couple glasses of wine. We did the tasting with Jane and she knew so much about the wine she was selling. She was awesome! We will definitely be going back again!

Diane Sterbutzel

Great atmosphere to explore on a sunny spring afternoon...or any season, really., Good wine, music, people of assorted ages, with indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice.

kevin Just

Have been to this winery multiple times and always have enjoyed it. Yesterday will be my wife and mines last visit. We were rudely asked to leave at closing when we clearly had 2 full glasses of wine left, he expected us to chug it. The two "gentleman" acted as bouncers rather than hosts.

Robert Link

Great wine and beautiful grounds. It's my favorite spot to relax and enjoy a glass with the wife.

Melissa Sisneros

Paradise Springs has been my favorite Virginia winery for years. It feels smaller and more intimate than the larger wineries and because of that, you get far better service during tastings. The employees are knowledgeable and the wine is delicious!

Michael Poston

As the closest winery to the city, my experience was crowded. However, it was still a fantastic experience as the service and the wine were excellent. The service bears another mention at it really was outstanding. There was a very rude customer continually encroaching on my girlfriend and I--pushing us to the side and rushing is through our tasting. But that isn't the fault of the winery. The access to the trails nearby make this an excellent before or after activity from a hiking day. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes and make a day of it.

Jess McDowell

I love coming to this vineyard. I have an amazing time. The wines are excellent. It makes for such a relaxing day. The staff is super nice and amazingly knowledgeable. I will definitely be making a trip back soon

Thomas Shaw

Beautiful, quiet location. The staff was very nice and the wine was terrific! Overall quite satisfied with my first trip here.

Kat Schopf

Great tasting. Simple and helpful with good information from Adam. Thanks!

Nicolas Nouvel

The winery needs to educate its customers to park into the appropriate space, not on the Hemlock Overlook Regional Park parking spaces.

Michael Pease

Great venue for picnics

Melba Padilla

This was great. Took the experience tour. Great value, nice wines. Richard was great. Gave just the right bit of information. Had a lot of knowledge. Tour lasted 1.5 hours-really informative. The wines were great, of course some better than others. I highly recommend the tour as an introduction to their wines. There are lots of families here on the grounds, picnicking with their kids. There is space to just lay on a blanket-loved it, or to to sit at a picnic table, maybe fly a kite, Frisbee, or throw a ball around. Bought some cheese and crackers after the tour-very nice. Lots of parking available. No complaints.

Todd Wardzinski

While the ambiance was exquisitely played off, the wines were not impressive when compared to say, Pearmund...Barrel Oak Winery...etc. The red wine selections were honestly nothing to write home about. But the whites, oh man the whites, were extremely well done. Perfect palette on every sip. While I can be forgiving for the inadequate reds, I do have one issue with this winery. While attending this winery with a birthday group (~13 people) we approached the counter to do a wine tasting. Unfortunately, while the friendly group wanted to be together for the tasting, the winery wanted to charge us $10 instead of $7 a head to do a tasting if the party was six or more. They would not accept our group to the tasting unless we split up. This money-mongering attitude really turned me off to this winery. I would have been happy to spend money on bottles and reference this as a friendly place to go...but they're approach to large groups and unwillingness to compromise has lost them my business.

Robert LeGal

Absolutely amazing selection. Honeymooned all of Napa and lived near all & experienced all the Long Island wineries and truly this winery is the best I've been too. The wines are to die for - and thats putting it mildly! Beth is amazing, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. Not only does she deserve a raise but if your not sure what you like, she will solve all your problems! Absolute highest recommendation!

Sarah Strahl

Exceptional wines. Great service with knowledgeable staff and generous pours.

David Lawrence

Great wine made and shared by great people.

Dustin Blosser

Nice local winery with lots of great outdoor space.

Stephen Theriault

Their rose is good and the staff is very nice as is the environment. It can get busy, but it still a very good local winery.

Shannon McGuire

My favorite winery ever! It is so close to DC and a perfect spot for me and my girlfriends to meet up for some wine. The wine is delicious and well made. The staff is inviting, attentive, and very friendly! Live music on the weekends and plenty of space to spread out over the scenic property. Cant wait to go back!

Barbara Montejano

I came here with my friends that flew in from all over for my birthday weekend and I was recently engaged. I thought it would be a nice touch to bring them to the winery to ask them to be in my bridal group. I got them wine bottles with their name on them as little gifts and I surprised them all with the bottles. We were taking pictures and this very rude lady yelled at us for bringing alcohol on the property. Now I understand this rule but we weren't drinking the wine it was merely a gift. The way it was handled ruined the rest of the day for us. She made a scene and it was a busy weekend and she had me pack the bottles as she watched and then had someone escort me off the property to put them in the car. It was very rude and not properly handled.

Jay Belles

Great spot in Northern Virginia. PSW has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy a nice selection of red and white wines. I enjoyed the franc and Nana's rose. The place is family friendly and plenty of room for young kids.

Melissa Cecchine

Great place to spend a weekend afternoon for a romantic or group hangout. Love that there is an abundance of places to hang out...tasting room, deck, patio, picnic tables, lawn. The wine is pretty good. Even though I prefer reds, my favs are the whites here. They have some packaged meats and cheeses but recommend you bring some yummy food since they allow you to bring your own. Although there is a big lawn area for parking it can be challenging depending on how the drivers decide to park in the unmarked lawn.

Khaled S

Cheerful and pleasant place for family and friends

Shannon Neal

If I could give this place 7 stars, I would. The wine is amazing. I've never been to a place where nearly everything on the menu is pleasing to the palate. From the light and sweet to the big, bold red this place has you covered. I recommend their memberhship as you cannot beat the quality and value, plus it is the closest winery to DC! The staff is friendly and if you want the best experience, go during the week

Dolores Evans

Beautiful view. Not so good service. Wines ok. Made my 90 year old mom uncomfortable at the bar tasting area. There was two groups there of about six people each . I ask if there was anyway we could taste at a table cause my mom can't stand long. The host said no because it was crowded. OK I understood. We had to wait until the groups got finished because the host couldn't seem to handle us and the other 6 people. It started raining really hard and the groups sat down away from the tasting area, then left. No one else came in. When the host finally started our tasting it took her 10 to 15 minutes between each glass to let us taste the next one. We clearly didn't have her full attention and she clearly was preoccupied. Being the only ones tasting at the time, having to pay for the tastings, not getting a tasting glass with the wine, and only sub standard tasting wine, I feel her action was unexceptable. Won't go back. But beautiful view. Took some beautiful pictures. PS THE closest winery to DC is Urban Winery in Silver Spring, MD. Wonderful service!!!!

Amazing hidden escape with amazing wine!!! Try their Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rosé!!!

Kurt Jensen

Great winery!

Michael Anthony

Always great

Melissa McClure

Great place for a glass of wine and catching up with friends!

Tse La Vanover

Love this place. As a sommelier I will say that this place is a hit. Lizzie is a wine taster there who is kind, fun and creates a great experience for a great wine tasting. Ask for her..you wont regret it!!!

I think “Paradise at a Lost” would better describe the series of disappointments that we had here. Starting with a rather chilly reception like what visiting fans at the home team’s stadium might get, we were shuffled off to a couch and then a small table. Three of our group of five went for a tasting. In our experience with wine tastings, the first wine is generally not the best wine of the tasting; wineries build to impress by offering progressively better wines during the flight. However, in this case, the first wine of the tasting, a plain, nondescript chardonnay with nothing bad about except that that it was close to drinking tap water, ultimately was the wine we chose for our table. As for the rest on the list, we tasted what they referred to as wine and dumped it accordingly. Even an award-winning red left us baffled as to who might have saw fit to grant it an award? Certainly, it wasn’t worth stopping the tasting to find out anything more about the “award-winner”, we just dumped it and asked for the next dismal glass. While some of us were at a loss to make savory of a tasting experience, reception learned that we had brought our service dog into the wine tasting room. They demanded paperwork for our dog, which we could not produce because documentation is not available for service dogs. Instead of making an issue, we thought going outside to a balcony would satisfy their request to take the dog outside. That is until we were rudely informed that the balcony is also dog-free. It was imposed upon our group that we can take the service dog to an outdoor patio or leave. Honestly, after those miserable tastings, leaving was the best option, but we compromised, purchasing the first--and sadly--best of their wines, and went outside to sit in a sweltering patio with limited shade. Perhaps, since this is the only business that calls itself a winery in all of Fairfax County, they believe that they are entitled to make a wine-like product and offer expensive tasting of it because people will come no matter what is poured into a glass. Needless-to-say, with such inconsiderate service and awful tastes, we will be taking our wine enjoyment elsewhere.

Nestled in Clifton area along the Hemlock State Park. It looks great and the vineyard itself is very nice. Great picnic table area outside, however inside it was very noisy and crowded. I guess this might be the norm for a Sunday afternoon. The white wines were okay, but the reds were all Cabernet Franc related, not my taste.

Ricky J Olson

Nice place to relax and drink some wine

Thea Lenna

A friend and I went to Paradise Springs today and had an excellent experience! The tasting was generous and Beth, our wine educator, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful and we had a great time picnicking with our own food.

Lorraine Peck

A fun winery to attend, good wine and good people

BVP Shell

Horrible management, the young guy running the show on the weekends has no sense of customer service. There are much better winery’s in the area that will appreciate your business and provide you with quality service.

Matthew Crissman

Great place, very friendly and lively. The wine is good but nothing overly memorable; I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. Still, a good place to meet with friends.

Scott Parker

It's hard to compete with what I'm accustomed to (northern CA wineries), but this place had good wine, lots of room both indoors and outdoors, a comfortable setting, friendly staff, and an overall goid feel. The negatives : somewhat high prices, and the area with the fireplace was uncomfortably smoky - need to check on the ventilation there. Overall, very nice.

Ryan Easton

The staff at Paradise Springs is extremely disrespectful, specifically Mike. We has a small group on the patio early in the day when not many customers had arrived yet. We sat on the patio for 3 hours and slowly it began to fill up, once the patio was full and we had children we were asked to leave. We complied and began to gather our numerous items of food and wine we had on the table. No more than 2 minutes after we were originally asked, we had another employee, Mike, come out and demand we leave the patio immediately. He spoke to us like we were criminals. I have never in all of our many winery experiences been treated the way that the staff at Paradise Springs Winery treated us today. I will not support this winery now and if you have small children I urge to not patronize this establishment given our treatment today. It is truly sad as I asked my wife to marry me there 2 years ago with a party of 60 and that memory is forever tarnished by today's events. I will make sure each and every one of my paying patron friends know of these events today. You have lost customers for life. Shame on this entire establishment.

good wine and music. it was a little crowded because it's too cold to be outside

Dan Abramson

Have been a fan for years, but sadly today’s experience changed that. Paid $15 for one glass - yes I said glass- of wine that was undrinkable. We came on Saturday afternoon for the live music. It was super crowded and packed with families and children and babies, which I understand because it was a rainy Saturday before Mother’s Day. We knew we we would not stay long because could not get a table on porch near music and inside was loud with children and crowded. So we decided to just get a glass of wine while we decided where to go instead. Long line, got to front finally and asked about whites for a glass, lady was rude and curt - probably harassed- said “this is our Chardonnay”. No other suggestions, no taste offered. But I knew she was busy and probably tired so I ordered it and didn’t complain about $15/glass price tag. It was horrible. I’m not hugely picky, but I couldn’t drink it, didn’t smell good, and wasn’t even cold. And it was $15, for 1 glass... Crowd at bar and employees harassed and not friendly, so we decided not worth trying to get another glass, just left. Very sad, since used to love the place. They r obviously not able to handle the crowds they draw by being close. Next time we drive a bit further to Leesburg.

Marshall Pastore

Fantastic wine and great service. Definitely worth the visit! We'll be back.

Kathy Burns

Nice setting but definitely not handicapped accessible. Didn't even have handicapped parking but plenty of spaces for wine club members.

kim mcclamroch

Beautiful property. I was on crutches, the staff was helpful. Nice variety of wines. I was surprised there is no handicap parking. Also found it fascinating they don't provide ice buckets. When I asked for one I was told they kept getting stolen so we no longer provide them. I've been to several Virginia wineries, this was the first time my cooler was searched for outside beverages. Im sure I will go back for a meetup but it would not be my choice

John Lee

This was our first visit and we loved it. It was crowded but that was expected on a beautiful day in March. We took the tour and enjoyed it very much. We saw several small parties, families with children and pets. This place can accommodate a romantic date, a family outing, or a group of friends.

Louis Kleiman

Great place. My only wish is that they had better food choices.

Ed Robichaud

Close by, good wines, great views and friendly staff

Zach Lowenstein

Nice place in a serene rural environment, yet close to DC suburbs. Wine was good. My only issue was the lack of changing tables. There are none. My wife had difficulty changing our baby, basically on a wicker basket in the bathroom. There are a lot of young couples with babies who come here, please install a changing table or two.

Ben Russell

We were there for a wedding. Really nice place. Would recommend it for a wedding or just a place to get some wine.

Yevgeniy Gusev

Surprisingly very nice winery in Fairfax Co. Beats driving to Leesburg area wineries.

Bryan Bomer

Beautiful buildings, great location are decent wines. My only issue is the bar layout is terrible for wine tastings. Could have easily been addressed with more thoughtful design, simply bump the bar out a bit in a few key spots and allow patrons more bar front.

Anthony Thomas

One of the most relaxing and enjoyable wineries I've been to in VA.

Linda Haupt

I would give a zero if I could. So disappointing that our group was turned away. We had 5 on a bus and 5 in a car (one of which is a member of the wine club). The parking attendant told us we could not stay because we were on a bus. We parked the bus off site and were stilled turned away. We had 10 total in our party - 5 on the bus and 5 in a car but were told we could not come in because we had an open container. Here’s the thing, he never came on the bus And we had NO open containers. I don’t know if we were turned away because our party was mixed race or they were just crowded but we will never return, recommend or promote this winery. Really disappointing as it had been recommended by a friend.

Nicole Cox

This place has great wine and a relaxed atmosphere.

Kaushal Amin

Great folks. Got more crowded over the years.

Alain APL

Just loved it. Try the « Petit Verdot ». That’s the "one you love", sorry the "wine you love !! Well you get it

Patrick Biltgen

This place is great. Nice outdoor space. I like that the outdoor patio is kid free, but the ambiance on the patio would be a little nicer if if was acoustic instead of amplified. It’s a little tough to enjoy my pricey overpriced wine with amplified guitar music blaring at me. I think I need more wine.

T Y

It's OK. The venue is nice but I didn't find the wine to be super impressive. The table area is kind of spread out and far away from the winery itself.

Andy Whetzel

We arrived on a bus, which we scheduled and the winery expected our arrival, and were immediately threatened that if anyone appears to be "over-served" we would all be asked to leave...not the best way to welcome 20 customers. The ladies who conducted the tastings were great and we had no further problems. The arrival left a sour taste in everyone's mouth and we cut our visit short.

Lyn Sharp

I would give 0 stars if I could! This is the absolute worst establishment I have ever come in contact with. We scheduled to have my sister's wedding anniversary party on a Friday night at 6pm for approx 150 people, which was confirmed by their event coordinator, ASHLEY, 2x via email. Come to find out LAST WEEK, after speaking with Ashley since January, they don't do reservations on Friday nights....their biggest room holds 130 people.... and they cannot schedule the time until 7:30! I guess it's a good thing Ashley took it upon herself to go ahead and reschedule my sisters anniversary party to Saturday.... You think any of this information would have been communicated when my sister asked for a Friday! When I called to speak with their manager,Richard, he sounded like a 20 something stoner that didn't care one bit about the situation we were put through. Not only did he say Ashley was not at work that evening, but that he would contact her and give me a call the next day. When my sister's husband called them back 20 minutes later, he asked to speak to Richard, was put on hold, and ASHLEY answered! Are you kidding me? Talk about professional! Nothing but a bunch of liars! Last time I checked, event coordinators were supposed to get dates right!

Jae Lee

Have been a member here for years. It's usually very busy which is both good and bad. Wine is middle of the road, but the venue is nice especially in good weather. Plenty of lawn to enjoy a nice picnic.

Hope Golden

Fabulous time! Michael is awesome, knowledgeable and entertaining! He added a special element to our day! Kudos!

I have never in my life been treated so rudely for no reason. On Saturday 9/30 I was with a large group of friends traveling by bus when we arrived at this vineyard a little after 6pm. It was a gorgeous fall day and there were 19 of us. We did NOT want nor did we ask to have a tasting. All we wanted was to buy bottles of wine and sit outside at the completely empty picnic table area to relax and watch the sunset. When I say completely empty, I mean there were at least 6 large picnic tables off to the side, nowhere near the main building, that no one was using. The website for this winery says they close at 7, which is basically a lie. They close at 6. My friend who organized the bus emailed this winery weeks in advance to confirm our arrival and ensure we didn't need reservations. I personally saw the emails saying "no problem, come anytime". We actually traveled quite far (from Arlington) to visit this winery, only to be greeted by incredibly rude and hostile workers telling us not only could we not come in and buy wine (hello why would you turn down business from 19 people?) but that we were not even welcome to get off the bus to sit outside, walk around, etc. So far I have been to 9 Virginia wineries (excluding this one) and they are all quite lovely, family friendly, and have good wine. You'd be much better off going to: Blue Valley Green Hill Pearmund Barrel Oak Winery 32 Or really pretty much anywhere except this winery. Judging from some of the other reviews it seems pretty clear that my group isn't the only one to have this experience. If the owners are reading this, you should consider being nice and welcoming to your customers and if you stop selling wine at 6, say as much when people contact you about reservations and driving all the way out from the DC area. You left us with a sour ending to an otherwise incredible day.

Petra Holden

I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was perfectly empty and perfectly wonderful :) The staff is gracious and well-informed, the indoor and outdoor seating is authentically rustic and caters to families as well as wine lovers, and the location is beautiful. The wine is on par with local Virginia wines (not too bad, not too amazing), but you come to wineries for the ambiance and this one really delivers. I will go out of my way to visit here again!

John H

I've gone here with friends a few times. The wines are alright, a little pricey for what they are. My poor review stems primarily from the fact that staff members patrol the picnic grounds like prison guards, constantly checking each table to see if any outside beverages are being consumed. Doesn't make for a very comfortable experience.

Travis Stansbury

Maybe it’s just the proximity to D.C. but the vibe of the crowd (if not exactly the winery) was very privileged pretentious posturing. The wines themselves seemed like everyone’s afterthought.

Rosa Martinez

Love it! If you like winery, live music and scape...this is a great place.

Matthew DiGaudio

Very kid friendly
