We came in for a visit this past Saturday. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a table on the patio, which was a pleasant surprise. Several in our party tried the wine flights and everyone enjoyed them. We sampled the table bread and calamari which were both delicious. Unfortunately my meal was very under seasoned (Parmesan crusted chicken and potatoes) and my husband's medallions came out very overcooked. The staff quickly corrected the issues, but the entrees as a whole were underwhelming given the price of the meals. We plan to give it another shot sometime in the future and are hoping this is an isolated incident.

The worst potential good burger I have ever had. I have been before and had a perfectly cooked medium rare peppercorn ranch burger that was outstanding. No longer on the menu and that’s fine. I figure I’m mostly about the burger would have asked for them to go easy on the peppercorn anyway. I got a cold medium rare cheeseburger with zero seasoning. Not a touch of salt and pepper. Tasted like nothing. No juices when I bit into it. Absolutely terrible. Had three bites and couldn’t eat another bite. Fed it to the dogs. Literally!

I have been to Cooper's Hawk many times, and always have great service. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very frustrating. There was a 40/45 min wait, no worries. After waiting an hour, I inquired the status. She confirmed my info, and said our table would be ready very soon. 30 more minutes, I check again. Somehow my name and phone number were deleted. They told me give them 5-10 more min. 10 more min, I go up again, and explained what happened, and that we were still waiting. She asked who took my info, and I told her it was her, twice. Her only response was "Oh!" She then got me a table. So 1 hr and 40 min. to seat 2 people, on a Tuesday night. No apologies, no offer to make it right. Just "oh" Today I called to discuss my experience, and was put on hold, then disconnected. I know mistakes happen, but an apology is a bare minimum to make the situation right. I was so excited to share this place with a friend, and it was beyond disappointment. Only reason I gave a 2, was my server and food were good. Update: I was contacted by Copper's Hawk. They apologized for the experience and made it right. Thank you for the resolution!

Wow I am upset that I have not tried this place before. I have driven by it so many times and never went in. My loss. The food is amazing. The calamari was the best I ever had. The Brussels sprouts was the best too. The setting is amazing and the service is great. If the weather allows, have your food on the patio. Definitely will be coming back.

All was good except the seating. We were seated between to tables with limited space. The parties behind us chair was on our chairs and made enjoying our meal and wine hard to do. Mentioned ro waitress and she never offered to move us. She said yeah your seats are close. So much for membership

If it's sunny and cool outside, this is one of my highly recommended places to enjoy the delightful short pump atmosphere. Ask a spot outside the window and you would love to stay out there all the afternoon. Get a cup of wine, or even better, a bottle to share with friends. We love their foods. They change their courses from time to time, especially the lunch special. Service though depends. Sometime we do think the waitress needs more training when younger customers present. One little thing... Although they offer various wines, it does not qualify them a good coffee place.

The concept is great! The staff was friendly. We loved the wine tasting and storefront. The decor and overall environment is lively. The calamari is heavily breaded but the sauce is delicious! The skirt steak was really good. The portions are big but overall the good was just okay. We'll go back again but not rushing to get there.

We had the opportunity to come back for a late lunch to celebrate my friend's birthday. I made an OpenTable reservation and indicated it was my friend's birthday under the notes and "celebrated event" option. Our server Amera was very good. Asked if we wanted pretzel bread rather than assuming; asked if we had any food allergies. My friend asked her for a sangria recommendation, and our server's suggestion of the passion fruit one was spot on. (I had a sip, and indeed it was delicious!) I had the peartini myself, and it was well balanced: not too sweet or overpowering. We shared the crispy Brussel Sprout appetizer. Glad we shared it; it was fairly large. But we ate every last morsel, very yummy with a zippy sriracha based sauce on top. My friend had one of their chicken salads (name escapes me), and I had the crispy chicken sandwich with applewood bacon, guacamole, and a cilantro ranch dressing (served on the side)--a Cooper's Hawk house specialty. I opted for the Asian slaw as the side instead of French fries; it was a little soggy but had really good flavor. My one gripe: they didn't recognize my friend's birthday in any way, whether by greeting or a complimentary dessert. Kind of the whole purpose of indicating the event type on the OpenTable reservation. They need to communicate between hostess (with access to reservations) and server better. Glad we came back and gave them a try for lunch. A nice option in Reston with FREE parking (I avoid RTC during the week for that reason alone).

What a wonderful experience I had today! The sashimi was amazing and so was the Pinot Gris. Emily, who was my server was friendly, attentive, and always checked on me, but not to the point it was over baring. It’s so hard to find a restaurant that has good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and phenomenal service! This restaurant hit all three points. I will most definitely be back!

Wanted to give Bryan at the tasting bar a special shout out. He always has us laughing and actually has long running jokes with us that date back to the first time we visited. I'm always impressed that he remembers details from conversations from previous visits and brings them back up (he's asked about camping trips, weddings we went to, a work meeting we were planning, etc). I've heard other employees in the tasting room talk about how loyal his "regulars" are to him, so I imagine it's not just us he does this with.

Nice place for food and wine. If you're into wine there selection is what you want. Their menu can be paired with a lot of options and their options to airate the wines are great for a group setting. If you're into membership or trying to get into wines they have options for that as well.

So i have been to many of the coopers hawk restaurants in the area and up until now have had a great experience.On Friday March 29 th we decided to go to your new lennox location. While waiting to be seated we decided to do a wine tasting, so we approached the counter .One of the staff asked if we would like to do a tasting so i said yes, but after she found out we were wine club members her attitude changed and the service was terrible. I was wondering why this woman would know longer pay attention to us , as if she lost a commission? The next day around one o'clock in the afternoon i called and spoke to a female manager about the issue that occurred at the counter and explained that we have been club members for quite some time the way we were treated was very rude. She agreed and expressed her concerns about the situation and apologized for the way we treated. I clearly asked this manager if her staff is on a commission basis and she said absolutely not, which was strange because after i spoke with her i called the orland park location and spoke to the manger there and she said yes her tasting staff is on a salary and commission basis!Not only is lying to people very rude, lying to your customers is very unprofessional. This manager from the new lennox location also asked for all my personal information in regards to rectifying the situation , she said she would be sending some gift cards in the mail and once again how sorry she was.Well I'm sorry to say that after almost two months later, still no gift cards, lol. The basis of this dissertation is to hopefully have some one from their H.R. department train their employees better and treat all there customers with respect regardless if they are wine club members or not.

If you like seafood, this MAY be the place for you; I don't so I can't comment on their seafood. I had their steak. So if you like your medium rare steak burned to a crisp and served cold this is the place for you. The side of hard cold brocolli was a nice compliment. Their potatoes were warm, but tasteless. Their desert was very good, and the small serving size will insure that you will not gain any weight. Parking, nealy nonexistent if you go in the evening. They did have a good deal of valet parking, so if you enjoy being saved a very short walk to the front door you will like this feature. Service was poor, they forgot my soup. The waitress removed the cloth napkin before desert was served. You might enjoy their freshly baked bread, if they served any. Personally, i can walk 5 to 6 car lengths. This area of short pump has a plethora of fine dining establishments, put this one at the bottom of your bucket list. I have crossed this place off as a "been there, done that. " As an aside, I don't drink wine, perhaps after a few glasses the fare might pass as "good eats".

Bday dinner at Cooper's last night restaurant week was so good. I tried the maple crusted pork chop and it was awesome. The flat bread was so good to. The salted caramel creme brulee was good. I love my banana bread there but wanted to try something different. Sitting on the patio last night drinking Limoncello was a perfect night Definitely will be back.

This place was so beautiful I just love everything about it OMG the Cooper's Hawks winery is one of the best places I ever visit in my life when you first walk into the door you get this midnight theme feeling of a club or bar it is one of the best things I ever seen in the short pump area you all will definitely have to visit there when I walked in it was a little weight but it wasn't too bad because they got right down to business and got us to the proper seating area that we were reserved when we gave them a call they were full of staff and everybody was friendly and ready to work that's one of the best parts I like when I walk into a restaurant you don't get that a lot often so I'm happy that they had that divide also the theme in the restaurant was simply amazing and it was adult and kid-friendly at the same time he has this elegant feeling when you walk into the door and into the dining area and the wind was simply to die for you all have to try as many as you want the glasses for very clean you can even see through them no spots what's on them the food or simply amazing my platter was beautiful I would definitely have to try this again I think the prices are set at the right price because you get for what you pay for is it elegant classy upscale restaurant and you won't forget the experience when you walk through the door everybody's there to greet you the waiter or waitress comes to the table often to make sure you have everything that you need the food was cooked perfectly I ate it all so I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant one or two more or at least visit it kind of off then because the food was so great so please if you're in the area go to the Cooper Hawks winery and you won't forget the experience

Winery restaurant with mostly house branded wines to accompany their menu. Separate wine tasting, bar and restaurant areas. Wide range of starters with smaller variety of meat, poultry and pasta options. Fish/seafood options broader than other options. Good selection of salads , desserts and sides. Booth and table seating available. Parking OK with some space right next to the restaurant, but on busy nights , additional parking is confusing. Reservations highly recommended and available thru Open Table. Good upper mid level restaurant for a chain, but nothing that makes it stand out as truly special/unique.

The crab cakes were all breader inside. Camouflaged by putting a few pieces on top and bottom. The sides roasted broccoli must have caught fire it was burnt, mac n cheese disgusting very pasty lot of flour I guess qas trying to make cheeae sauce. Second visit. The impression about food is the same: very tasty appetizers, salads, drinks, bread service, but not so tasty entrees. In between two visits we had: Tuna Sashimi(A+), Meatballs (A+), Brussels sprouts (A+), Chicken Potstickers (A+), Shrimp and Polenta (B), Salmon and Kale Salad (A+), Some Fish entree from HH menu (B-), and Lemon Ice Wine Cheesecake (A+). For a chain restaurant the taste of the most was wonderful. The ambiance and value of the meals are great. The service was great the first time, but slow, unorganized and confusing the second. Still we have a good impression about the place and will frequent it when in the area. P.S. Had Lunch this time and the food was wonderful with delightful service. Definitely will be back.

First just let me say I visited Coopers Hawk in Chicago and Richmond VA and the service was fantastic and the food great!!!! I had the worst experience at the Reston VA location . Our server was horrible and the manager on duty was just as awful. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays and a college graduation... We waited upwards of 45 minutes to an hour for our food to arrive. We had to clean our tables and stack appetizer plates, move around glasses from our drinks and silverware, so we could make room for our food. When the food arrived, my dish (short ribs) was room temperature and my Aunt’s (Birthday girl) food order was completely wrong as they brought her a different dish, not the one she requested. She had to wait even longer for her dish. When we spoke with the manager we told him all of the above including the fact we were celebrating.. You would think at this point our service would improve.. Instead the manager suggested we visit another location, he never came back to the table to check on us, we were not asked if we wanted dessert ( I really wanted that caramel creme brûlée), and our waiter continued to suck!!!! I can’t tell you the name of the waiter or manager because neither identified themselves. We visited May 23, 2019 @ 8:15pm... Horrible and I won’t go back!!!!!!!

We went there three times since the opening. Once there was an hour and a half long wait for a table. The parking lot wasn't full and not a lot of people in dining room or bar area. Apparently staffing issues. However, the next time we ate at the bar area and the experience was extremely pleasant.

My husband and I ordered same meal, seared Ahi Tuna dinner. This is our usual meal from Coopers Hawk. Unfortunately, my fish was cool to the touch. I wish the New Lenox CH was as good as other locations. We've had consistently poor waitstaff and service ad well. Bummer.

The wine and food for the price, it really should have been greater... I had the braised short Shrimp & Scallop Risotto. However, the part that will keep me from returning was the hurry, hurry of our waiter, and more noticeably, the rudeness of the young lady at the wine tasting bar. Cooper's Hawk as a chain is fantastic. This location is poorly run. I've never actually sat in the restaurant but I've been to the bar and the tasting room many times. The food is great, the wine is great and despite the service the experience is still great which I still gave it 3 stars. It's always a disorganized mess. If your able go to Loudoun instead. Same great food and wine but much better run.

The only positive thing I can say is that the food is very good. We sat at a table in the bar. The service was by far the worst I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Waiter never actually asked for a drink order, we had to flag him down. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. Appetizer and entrees were served together. Worst of all, the gluten free dish ordered wasn't what was brought to the table. Unfortunately, it was partly consumed before we realized their mistake. Then after promising a replacement, we were informed they were out of grouper. They did comp us part of the meal. Miraculously, the originally ordered gluten free dish arrived at the table as we were finishing. I guess we should have been suspicious from the beginning when our waiter confessed he knew little about wine. Hmm, bad hiring or training? Either way, they have a ton of issues and it will be a very long time before we give them a second chance, if ever.

Had a great first experience at Cooper's Hawk today. Service was attentive and accurate. Little tender loaves of pretzel bread and butter are included with table service. Enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts appetizer; very crispy and flavorful with a slightly sweet accent sauce drizzled. Recommend the Southern Grilled Shrimp and Polenta, especially if you're a fan of the Low Country dish, shrimp and grits; the tomato braised kale is a welcome addition to this favourite. Finished with a single chocolate dipped strawberry, served at a restaurant price, but was glad to have a single bite dessert available. You may want to peruse the menu ahead of time as the number of choices was overwhelming for some of our party. Up to two complimentary wine samples are available for each diner.

Came as a reward from my bodybuilding competition. Our server Stephanie was not the best or attentive, took our drink order but didn't return. Our drinks was brought about 20 minutes later by the chief and looked to be one of the managers. We ordered our food and it came out cold. We ordered three burgers and the order came out wrong and was sent back . Okay here the crazy part they took the burger back added cheese to and replated serious for $$$ price restaurant you think the standards was higher then a fast food place, even at Burger King you a fresh burger, seriously Coopers Hawk's wow. anywho don't ask for a to go box to take the food home to heat it, you would've thought I ask her to pay the check , with the face she gave me smh okay I'm done with my rant. I said all of that just to say I'm very disappointed with the service we received.

I have come here for the fifth time and its like the magic of the first. I drove an hour and a half for this experience from Hampton . My new favorite wine Le Blanc Le Blanc. My leftovers tasted even better as a sunday lunch.

The food was good but some of the worst service ive ever seen, especially at a nice spot. Took us 10 mins to get seated with a reservation, took 25 mins for drinks to come. Had to ask 3 times for silverware which came after the entrees were served. Honestly it was bad enough to keep us away for good.

Last night a group of 5 of us went to the New Lenox location for my friends birthday. I ordered my steak medium rare and when I got it is was well done. No biggie I send it back the manager assured me it will be done in exactly 5 minutes. 20 minutes later all of my friends are done eating and then FINALLY I got mine. So that was annoying. Then they brought out a birthday dessert (which we didn’t even ask for but whatever) for my friend and a second one “for all of the trouble”. In reality I would have rather gotten something taken off of our bill for the steak issues. But we get the bill and of course after we had already paid we realized they CHARGED US for the “free” dessert they brought out because they messed up my food and made me wait over 20 minutes for a new one. Not the absolute worse experience but when you pay $35 for filet mignon and this is the experience you get, it definitely clouds the overall night.

Very few vegan-friendly options, despite local competitors. The only entree that was advertised as vegan arrived with crumbled cheese on top. Our waiter tried to fix it, stating that the waitstaff didn't really know this dish (even though it was prominently shown in the menu), but clearly vegan and vegetarian guests are not really prioritized. We did appreciate the family restroom and atmosphere and didn't feel out of place with our infant, but we won't be back since customers like us are clearly an afterthought.

Cooper's hawk is by far the best casual/fancy dining around. I always loved Cooper's Hawk but tonight they went above and beyond. I received my filet mignon and it was cooked well done instead of medium. The server apologized profusely and sent for a properly cooked steak. While waiting the manager came over and apologized for the wait and even comped my American Mule AND the steak! I have not had customer service like this before. Cooper's Hawk knows how to make you feel appreciated. I will DEFINITELY be coming back!

If you like wine and dont want to travel to Charlottesville, then Coopers Hawk is a great place for you. They have a great happy hour when the Lux vintage (their higher end) are available for $7. They other wines are only $5. Sitting out on the patio, it's hard to believe that you are right off Broad street. Service is usually good. My favorite app is the veggie flatbread with goat cheese. It is consistently excellent. Plus, the pretzel bread they give you as complimentary is a winner. I usually order a 2nd one. For $1, it's a super value.

Amazing food and service! We had a large group from the Reston Chamber that decided to meet up on a busy Thursday night. They we so accommodating and managed to get us seated quickly after we all had a fun tasting. I can't say enough for the amazing service ... from Brian in the tasting room to Zack in the restaurant... and especially Lexi, great job. The food and wine were second only to the great service. Cooper Hawk is a real gem and a great addition to Reston.

We were in the bar area. Layout is terrible and not set up for a group to meet up there at all. Ashburn location layout is so much better and larger. Bartenders and wait staff in the bar area very attentive and nice. Great group. However, there was a man roaming around that I assumed was management? Had the personality of a lead pencil.... He needs to rethink his chosen profession I believe. But other than that everything was fine and the food that we did get which was from the happy hour menu was on point.

Dinner reservations were made for 2. We were seated pretty quickly. However...waiter seemed anxious...one person at table was brand new to the place and waiter did not give ample time to view menu or drink list. He was back to table several times in 5 min or so which made us feel rushed. When reservations were made I mentioned a birthday celebration. Nothing was said or mentioned at the table by staff. One of the entrees was parmesan shrimp...it had FOUR pieces of shrimp for 22.00...that's outrageous...almost like someone forgot he ordered SHRIMP. Lots of noodles on plate but u can get whole box of spaghetti noodles for 1 dollar at store. The waiter was assigned two more tables. Then it was like we weren't even there...off to cater to others..had to ask for box and check...dont know if it was bad timing but felt rushed whole time. Sad. Been to orland for lunch and it's always been pleasant experience. This just wasn't. If you want shrimp platter go to red lobster...dont waste ur money at coopers hawk.

COOPER'S HAWK is a evening out with your special date or group of friends. It offers finer cuisine and a rather large variety of wines. This is more of an upscale restaurant so plan on spending a fair amount of your paycheck. Your entree is pleasing to the eye along with small individual sized desserts. The restaurant is an open floor plan and tables somewhat close to other diners. The atmosphere is geared toward adults. Mom and Dad should consider finding a sitter for this evening.

This is an experience like no other. We have been wine club members since June and ventured out tonight to continue our 15th anniversary celebration from Yorktown and what a night it has been! Wine tasting before dinner, fabulous meal with 2 free bottles with dinner..(most of it going home) and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We love this place and the 1.5 hour drive to get here is so well worth it. If you haven't tried Cooper's Hawk Winery yet you need to make plans and come on out. Went with my fraternity brother and our wives and my real brother to celebrate my fraternity brother and my birthdays (same date and year). We both would have ordered the short ribs, but they were out of them. Three appetizers, five entrees, a bottle of wine and a desert was about $245. We've been to another of their restaurants, and we knew what it was about, and we weren't disappointed, and we'd go again. We had made reservations for four, but as we had five full-sized adults, it was quite a jam for three of us to cram into one side of a four person booth. If you're watching your weight, there's a calorie counting section in the back of the menu. They call it mindful eating, although I pointed out to our server that I could be more or just as aware eating the full-sized portions we chose.

I frequent Cooper’s Hawk and always have a great experience. The food and service is always amazing and consistent. During my last visit, about 2 weeks ago, a friend & myself were having dinner on the patio. There was a couple sitting kitty corner from us for the entirety of our dinner. Towards the end of our meal, the woman became pretty upset that her creme brûlée was not cooked to her liking. It seemed that the server brought her a new one and would you guess.. she was still upset. First of all, it’s a dessert mam, not anything to ruin your server’s night over, but okay. She requested to speak with the manager and the sole purpose of my 5 star review is to compliment the manager and the way he handled the situation. I believe I heard, and I heard everything because this woman thought it was appropriate to disrupt everyone else’s dinner, the manager’s name was Markus. He handled it very professionally and did everything he could to make it right for this woman. Although, our dinner was somewhat disrupted, it made for great entertainment. Our server entertained us on making a joke of this woman’s complaint, which was great. I will definitely be back and will probably order the creme brûlée!

Fine dining is finally here in the Lincoln Way Area! Coopers Hawk has such an elegant atmosphere, with made from scratch food that is so delicious. There is alot of variety and the appetizers are also quite impressive, my favorite are the Thai lettuce wraps. Steak, chicken (the Dana Chicken is a favorite) and more, you will love your meal. But wait, of course the wine! This is some of the best wine you can find, they even featured it at last years and this year's Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) awards! If it impressed the celebs, then I must also have great taste in wine! The Wine Club is a must, for exclusive bottles and tastings, take your wine experience to the next level. I can't believe we have all this right here in New Lenox. Cheers to the manager Dustin, he knows how to treat his patrons, and the attentive wait staff, all were great including Sam.

Be sure to make a reservation on a weekend! We didn’t and waited over an hour for a table. But when we got our table, the food came quickly and was excellent! The only complaint at the table was that it was so good we wanted more, even though we were stuffed!

I LOVE Cooper's hawk, I have been a wine club member for 3 years and never have had an issue until today. My husband and I were in for a tasting, there were maybe 3 other couples being served. We were not acknowledged for 10 minutes, they helped 2 other groups that came in long after us. FINALLY, we were told they would be right with us and waited another 2 minutes. We had to wait quite a while between pours with empty glasses, never offered crackers, and were asked if we were done with the tasting when we're only half way through. Super sad to see that 4 ladies behind the bar were unable to keep up with everything on a slow afternoon.

We went for dinner around 4pm. Not much of a wait. No booster seat was offered for our three year old, but host staff was otherwise very engaging with her. Wait staff was inattentive, appetizers took a solid 45 minutes to get to the table and dinner took another 45. When it did get there, my fish was rubbery like calamari instead of flakey, my poorly cut crunchy filet medallions were undercooked, greasy looking veggies and cold, crunchy mashed potatoes. The bruschetta was amazing and well plated but that was the only edible part of my meal. Even the kids mac and cheese was a rubbery mess. Management did make it right by taking the mac and my uneaten meal off the tab but they could have done more. I was so excited when they built this place and forced myself to wait a few months while they got the kinks out, but it will be a very long time, if ever, before we'll go back. Wish we would have gone to chili's across the street because after spending over $60 for dinner for 3 of us, I still went home hungry. :(

Had a very good experience here, staff was friendly and super attentive. I could not however rate 5-stars. I understand this is a Winery doubled as a restaurant, but I felt that the food wasnt all too different from some meals I've had elsewhere. Considering value versus quality, felt that it didnt speak well for the reputation. Wasnt bad by any means, tasted good, but I guess we were expecting more "wow factor" given the other reviews I read. Maybe was just an off-night, so I'll give them benefit of the doubt being it was our first time, but first impressions are what make or break any business the Food Service industry. Wine selection is great though! Free tastings is a great way to introduce people who aren't too well-versed in Wine or are beer-drinkers (this guy). Overall, it is a great place to sample wine. Wouldnt be my first choice for strictly a bite to eat.

1st time there. Super helpful server, Trevor, was helpful in describing various dishes I was interested in, in detail. I settled on a blue cheese burger that was cooked med rare as I requested!! My friend hat a hot chicken sandwich served on biscuits topped with slaw. She misunderstood the term hot a d was somewhat surprised that it meant spicy not just warmed. The entrance looks like an upscale store, and is sidewalk-level accessible through glass doors and rotating door; there is also seating outside for warmer months. Inside, the atmosphere is charming and our table's food was good. Prices were a bit higher than other places, but I knew that going in. My appetizer salad was the size of an entree salad at other places. The waiters took time to answer questions, and were very responsive. The only challenge was finding parking, since it is a new addition to an office complex. I would certainly go there again.

Disappointed in our dining experience today. We went after the lunch crowd and before the dinner crowd so we could get a nice quiet table. The guy that seated us tried to place us right next to the kitchen and the table closest to their marketplace. It was too loud and most of the restaurant was empty but he seem to have a hard time finding an open table for us. We finally seated ourselves and told him to explain it to the girl at the front desk. Secondly, our entree's came out luke-warm! The waitress was nice enough to have them reheated. But, cold food has never happened before??? Everything else went smoothly.

The food was delicious and our waitress was great! We had the wine tasting then ate dinner. We normally ask for Cornell to be our waiter but tonight we didn’t request him to be our waiter. My wife and I had a great time! The reason for 4 stars is that after our wine tasting, a friend told me the person serving the wine tasting is supposed to tell you a story about each wine and where it comes from. The guy we had hardly gave it a 2nd thought. He poured the drinks, said the name (almost every time) then walked away to talk with other employees.

The restaurant was enjoyable and the food was delicious. The wait staff was very accommodating and or overall experience was great, we'll likely go back again soon. My only complaint is about the Life Balance menu. Many of the dishes featured on the life balance menu (i.e healthy choices menu) were also featured in the main menu. The difference is less food for the same price. The next time we go, we'll likely order off the regular menu and just take half in a to-go box for lunch the next day.

Well I had an eventful start to my birthday week. Came here for dinner with close friends to celebrate. Left having an allergic reaction to Walnuts being in the Caesar salad dressing. I listed my food allergies ahead of time (nuts & fish) via the OpenTable app and the waitress followed up with me to confirm when we arrived. I ordered my meal and my waitress confirmed she had given my allergies to the kitchen and they knew to be cautious of cross contamination. I asked for a Caesar salad to come out first as an appetizer - not thinking I needed to check the ingredients on the menu again because they are usually all made the same, DO NOT contain nuts and the waitress already had my allergies. Even with all my allergies known, written down and given to the kitchen, I was still served the Caesar salad without any warning the dressing they make contains walnuts. I eat about half of it and my mouth/throat start to swell followed by me throwing up the salad. Luckily my boyfriend was close enough to bring me Benadryl to stop the reaction. This happened on Saturday 6/29 and today is Monday 7/1 and I’m still sick. Ended up leaving work early because I threw and still having some trouble breathing. I was able to get seen at Urgent Care today and they confirmed my body was still reacting and got started on a Steroid to counteract the remaining symptoms from the reaction. Manager came out and was really nice, comped my food (because I couldn’t even eat it) but still didn’t make up for the suffering I had to go through. She took my number down saying they would follow up with me to see how I was doing but I still haven’t heard from anyone. Really stinks because I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant because I had heard so many great things about it but I probably won’t be eating here ever again. :/

This review is only for the happy hour. Great happy hour, and it starts at 3 (ends at 7?). Food tastes good and are under $10. Nice variety of sangria and other drinks, at happy hour prices. This place was terrible. We've literally had both better food and service at a McD's. Our waiter paid no attention from us, start to finish. He dropped waters off to us and without a word, went to the table next to us that arrived approximately ten minutes after, to joke and get their drink orders, although our menus were closed and we were eager to order. He didn't give us our menus or most of our food, another server kept taking care, he brought my drink and then ten minutes later, my bf's, though both were ordered at the same time. He asked how we were, once, and proceeded to leave our dirty app plates in front of us as we answered and he walked away. He never asked how our mains were, if we wanted dessert, nothing. All around terrible service. The food is terrible. The shrimp app? Rubbery shrimp, flavourless bacon, i heard there was supposed to be a tequila lime butter but it seemed to be missing, and the guacamole was actually a bit of unseasoned mashed avocado. Horrible. Carne asada flatbread? First, it's on something like matzo; hard and burnt and cracker like. Again, old dry meat and no seasoning, only bit of flavour was the pesto and I've had better from a jar. Fish and chips? Fish was boring and watery, not hot and crunchy and full of flavour, but tasted as though it'd been pulled from the freezer and tossed into the fryer. The fries, well McDonald's does those cheap skinny ones better, at least theirs are always hot and salted. Y'all should be ashamed of the slaw. Boring. Flat. Not tangy or sweet or tart, not crunchy and cool. KFC i swear has better and y'all put a few random pieces of red pepper on top - just why? Fried chicken sandwich was an embarrassment. Chick-fil-a does it better and with a smile. The hot honey was boring, zero flavour, poured out of the ramekin like water, y'all you can drink it with a straw. Same old bland slaw, cold fries, and this had a greasy topped chewy yet flavourless bun. After this fiasco, i went into the bathroom that desperately need attention and when i walked into a stall, the sensor was broken and went off, spraying the toilet water all over the seat, the floor, the wall, and me as i frantically tried to get out of the locked stall. Terrible experience, not going waste my time and money here again. I walked out nearly in tears. Zero stars. EDIT - EMAILED PER REQUEST, JULY 9 @ 8:12PM, ZERO RESPONSE AS OF JULY 15.

Enjoyed lunch today @ Coopers Hawk Winery. Had the lobster and shrimp bisque as a starter. It was creamy and very flavorful. The shrimp and avocado starter was pretty good but a bit pricey for just 6 shrimp. The complimentary bread was very flavorful. I had the Leonard Burger and it was quite tasty. Our service e was extraordinary as we were well taken care of. Overall experience was very good and would definitely return again.

All the wines are Cooper's and all food items offer pairings to accentuate your dining experience and excite your palette. our Server Robin was knowledgeable, personable and welcoming to our group. With renovations that include a huge wrap around outdoor patio complete with heating during brisk evenings, this is a good option in the Herndon/Reston area.

Cooper's Hawk food is always good. It was my brother's birthday & he chose to go there. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the crab cakes; they came w/fries & Asian slaw. We always rate our food & seafood is my thing. The crab cakes were ok, I gave them a 5. They tasted & looked like they used canned crab meat, which is fine & all, but then they shouldn't be charging $26 for them. The best crab cakes I've had here in Milwaukee are at Devon's at Bayshore. The fries that came w/the dinner were the best part of my dinner cuz that Asian slaw had no flavor at all. I've eaten at Cooper's Hawk multiple times...this was the 1st time that I didn't love my food.

I went with a friend who had a membership, so the wines were on him. Food was pretty creative. They overdid some filets my friends had, but that's what they get for ordering boring food at a non-steakhouse. I had short rib braised in red wine, and served over potato puree in a succulent mushroom sauce. Quality of the beef was excellent, and I could barely finish the entree. Hint to management : If you're going to make sauces this good, some complimentary bread wouldn't hurt to sop it up! Prices are quite reasonable for the area and class of restaurant. Service was very professional.

However my family and were seated in the bar area with a newborn and a toddler, not sure why they thought that was a good idea when the dining room was half full. I have enjoyed ordering in the past from this restaurant, but recently the last three experiences have not been good. The first bad experience was when I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the lettuce was not washed and had dirt all over them, I had to wash it out myself. The second time there was a hair in someones food and the chicken was ice cold that is supposed to be pan fried. Today when I ordered food, there was a bug in my salad, someones chicken was ice cold again and also someone here has an upset stomach caused by the Dana's Parmesan crusted chicken.

The wait for wine tasting is way too long. No control over who is next in line. People have turned a wine tasting ( 8*1oz pours) into a 1 hour plus event. Off duty employees are at a wine tasting for 1.5 hours and are getting larger and extra pours when there is line 12 people long. The food is great but the wine tasting is a terrible experience. Seriously considering cancelling our wine club membership.

The food is meh - very middle of the road. Think McDonald's, but costing a lot more. It is a great place to take the friends and family to sit and chat. I have been six or seven times over the last few months. The surroundings are great, atmosphere is lively. The wait staff have always been top notch. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad except one thing - don't eat any of their hamburgers. The hamburgers always taste cold and greasy, taken from the freezer and barely warmed up. Not awful, but close. The patties are very small, and it is hard to find them under the pickles or lettuce, and the huge bun gives the illusion that you are getting a large burger. Nope, it's just a large bun, with lots of pickles, lettuce, and a tiny piece of awful meat. My wife usually orders the salmon. Same thing, not good, not bad. Just something to eat while you socialize. In summary, come here with friends, to have a pleasant surrounding to sit, chat and drink. Don't come here for the food.

First of all, the place requires a reservation. I wanted to go three times and got turned down before I started to accept 5:15 dinner reservations. I know... So finally went twice and it's a mixed review. The food is decent and comes with a good selection but both doesn't blow me away. The meat for instance wasn't great for me either time: the churasco steak was burnt, and the strip steak in the surf and turf was just a few slices. Wouldn't order either dish again. The wines are the best part along with the appetizers. Deserts are not bad, but beware when you order the chocolate truffles - the waiter brought two white ones (which I personally don't consider chocolate) and told me they didn't have dark. But when you exit the place you walk straight by the choc display and there was a full tray of darks. So not sure what that was all about. Just make sure to specify what you want. Atmosphere is nice, for a couple, small group, business - all work...

After making a reservation and getting to the restaurant exactly on time, we were told that our seats would be another fifteen minutes. We questioned why the wait when we had reservations and were told "In order to seat you, others have to get up from the table." This was my first time to Coopers Hawk and certainly won’t be the last. Six women for lunch celebrating a birthday, unable to decide what to order.....a server’s nightmare! We all tasted several wines before deciding what to drink. Our server Holly was amazing and beyond helpful. We had a variety of appetizers to share and entrees. Had to get a few of the delicious desserts, quality calories. Fabulous service and delicious food!

A fantastic addition to the Village of New Lenox. This restaurant hits it out of the park on all points. One of the most massive wine selections I've ever seen as well as a nice selection of micro beers. I went there for lunch and had the chicken sandwich with avocado cheese and bacon which was a great recommendation. My friend had the cheeseburger and said it was delicious. I can't wait to explore the dinner selections on my next visit. Our server was extremely helpful and gave us many suggestions. The overall look of the restaurant an architecture is a appealing and comfortable. Cooper's Hawk is a higher price range restaurant for the area but the attention to detail and quality of the food should exceed your expectations. Keep up the great work.

I loved the wine, the atmosphere, and the food. One request- please improve the hot chocolate. It tasked like warm, sweet water. I’d hoped for the rich, creamy chocolate I’d had on Italy.

Great wine. Horrible service. Tony gave us the tasting sheets and poured our first wine. We asked him for some crackers and he told us he'd be right back. He then proceeded to go talk to other employees at the host stand and the carryout station instead of bringing crackers. Meanwhile, we had to flag down other bartenders to get us our next few tastes of wine because he was chit chatting for so long. Tony finally came back and said they were out of crackers even though at least three other groups had received some since we asked for them. We didn't feel like making a scene so we just let it slide. Then he realized other bartenders had been giving us our wine and he started talking about how they were just trying to steal his tips and they were actually extremely lazy. He continued talking about tips and said the company made employees depend on tips so they didn't have to pay them that much money. After all this talk about tips, there wasn't even a spot on the credit card slip for us to leave a tip. We asked about this and Tony said we should know that the tasting bar people only accept cash tips (how should we know, we'd never been there before?) We told him we didn't have any cash and he demanded that we send him a tip using paypal or go to an ATM. This is a very weird request even if he had actually done our entire tasting instead of forcing other bartenders (who had 4 or 5 groups each) to do his work. He made us feel so uncomfortable that we will never go back to this location so that we don't have to be around him.

Nice atmosphere, rather loud. Portions are quite large. The thai wraps are tasty but messy and difficult to assemble. The mexican drunk shrimp come with tails on. The bacon was overcooked and flavorless. I enjoyed the pretzel bread, however its presentation was lacking without any egg wash or pretzel salt. I would definitely dine here again, but not with a party of more than four people.

I was disappointed with the service. Both the hostess/host experience and waiter were not up to par. The waiter spoke very quickly and did not engage with us. However, I gave it 4 stars because the food was incredible. We were also provided with a complementary wine tasting. I would go back, but I hope the service improves.

We have yet to have a bad meal. The service is always high quality and they are really great about making recommendations on all courses. The egg rolls and goat cheese flat bread are our favorite apps. The short ribs are delish and the truffles are a great way to end the meal. Oh and dont forget to try a wine tasting too!

So, this was a hard review to write because I've been a wine club member for years and I love the wine. Recently, my colleague and I decided to try out the new Cooper's Hawk in New Lenox. I was hesitant because I've had 3 horrible experiences at the one in oak lawn. So, I only like to attend the one in Orland Park (every experience there has been fantastic). I allowed my colleague to talk me into it. When entering the place was very clean. The hostess were really friendly and we recieve a great seat. My server came to us immediately and introduced herself and so on. I order a Wine, salad, and egg rolls. Everything was going lovely until I took two bits of my salad and a long piece of blonde hair. I have never experience this before, so I was totally flabbergasted. The waitress came and apologized and took the salad. The manager came over next and apologized, offered me another salad and informed me that she had just instructed everyone in the kitchen to wear a hairnet. REALLY???? So this establishment allows everyone in the kitchen to prep, cook, and handle food without protection on their head????? That is disgusting and I am applaud. Please do better, because I'm sure the health department wouldn't like that. Sincerely, A Ex Cooper's Hawk lover!

The place is beautiful. The food great. However, I was on a girlfriend day out, and we were among a handful of Black and brown people. We didn't realize that until we were constantly told we are loud. They claimed patrons made multiple complaints, and one table of all white patron moved away. We were 5 professional, classy, highly educated and military women. It was embarrassing. We had a few white patrons who apologized for how we were treated. I am very disappointed and will never go back.

Very trendy and simple interior designs with wine barrels and bottles was impressive. Staffs service was so pleasant and friendly that I enjoyed dining there very much. Wine decanter was a creative figure and nicely worked for the better wine taste. My friend and I ordered Ahi Tuna, Brussels Sprout and Flatbread with beef; especially she strongly recommended we must to have Brussels Sprout. She was right. I like the Brussels Sprout which here's signature appetizer. One more thing, pretzel bread is so good except its sweetness. Less sweet would go better with any kinds of wines in my opinion.

The food was really out-of-this world. I ordered a pork chop and got this tender, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth confection with a bourbon barbecue glaze and a variety of sides that perfectly complemented its flavour. The wines were merely okay, the service very much a work in progress (new location, inexperienced staff), and the noise level a bit too high for rational conversation, but all in all it was a very enjoyable experience.

Upscale Cracker Barrel. First time visit on a Thursday night. First impression through the door was a mass of people milling around stacks of branded merchandise for sale. The harried hostess was at the far end of a long, unmarked desk like in a hotel lobby with a bunch of people answering phones (catering, apparently). We were seated on time and received adequate, unremarkable service. The food was what you should expect from a non-food-court mall restaurant. Menu was large, prices a little above average.

I've never ordered anything I didn't like here! The gnocchi dishes, in particular, are unbelievably good. More importantly though, the staff is always welcoming, jovial, and truly appear to be enjoying working. I had Will today, and he was excellent and really made me have a 5/5 experience. If you're looking for a restaurant with excellent food and wine at a great value for quality, attentive serving staff, and honestly a cool looking interior, go to Cooper's Hawk.

Had our department Christmas dinner on a Wednesday late afternoon. Wine and appetizers on the happy hour menu were a great deal. Everyone enjoyed their meal and beverages. Service was top notch, very attentive. When people in my group couldn’t decide which wine they would prefer, our waitress would bring samples to help them make their decisions. Be aware, between drinks, appetizers, main course and tip, dinner will run you $55 per person. Overall, it was a great experience.

Everything is appropriately priced for what it is and the outside patio even has heaters. The food was great as was the wine. I'm not sure why reservations were required, or why I couldn't get the reservation time I wanted. I preferred a noon reservation but was told that was full and I could have 12:30. No big deal, we arrived at noon and did tastings. However, the place was empty so I'm not sure why I couldn't get my preferred reservation time. Overall, the service during the tasting was wonderful. Our server for lunch, not so much. Everything was very slow. Again, the place was empty so not sure what the issue was. The food was good, but the location in Tinley is better.

Feels like an upscale version of cracker barrel, with the whole store/tasting room/restaurant combo. The menu is as broad and crowd pleasing as the Cheesecake factory, with thoughtful wine pairings for each item. Bottles of red wine are served in huge decanters. Negatives: Tried to sell a wine club membership while we were there for Valentine's dinner. It took a very long time for our 2 tastings to come out, slowing down dinner because we were buying a bottle for the table and needed to taste before we committed.

Everything i had on two different occassissions was either overbuttered or oversauced. Nice atmosphere. Mediocre service. Did not do the wine sampling which i am told is very good. If the wine sampling is not your thing go to jacksons or coastal flats for a better meal.

It is so nice to have a Cooper's Hawk a little bit closer to home instead of having to go all the way out to Orland. It was a little strange to a reservation earlier time on a Tuesday when there were an extreme amount of open tables. No time for wine samples this visit but any other time all of their wines are very delicious and it is such a great gift to be able to do the wine of the month. This new place a little bit more excitement and light than the other location I have been to but over all the consistency of the food and staff was there.

One of the newest additions to this street, this is a great winery and restaurant. They have a good selection of wines as well as some great food options too. Being a winery themselves they offer a great variety. If choosing a flight to taste I would definitely talk to the staff for their suggestion. Really like the fish and seafood options here. They even have a separate Gluten Free menu to choose from. Definitely a good choice for both a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner.

I discovered this restaurant by accident, and I see why they really don't have to advertise. Every dish has extra thought and preparation behind it that you can taste. I recommend taking a bite, closing your eyes and experiencing the flavor combos, for the first bite anyway. Their chefs must meticulously prepare and experiment. Each dish also has a specific wine that is pared with it, should you so choose. The experience was exquisite. Plus, they're a winery. I got two bottles of Ice Wine for a reasonable price, and you don't just find that wine anywhere.

They have very good food. Wife wanted 2 wines which they were our of. Semi understandable as we went after holiday (Thanksgiving). Burger was too juicy #FirstWorldProblems. Wine bar area looks like a good place to hang out and drink wine if you are not finally getting a date night where you leave kids with sister in law and just want to sit down and eat dinner in peace and quiet without someone crying or stating how much they don't like chicken nuggets even though they picked them out.

Being able to sample wines is wonderful, as I don't usually drink. I really enjoyed the flavorful vegetarian enchiladas. He also explained the food well enough to help my boyfriend choose his steak (which he also enjoyed). Additionally, Patch surprised us with two scrumptious chocolate items & candles to celebrate our anniversary & birthdays. We enjoyed interacting with Patch, as he treated us as a guest in his home-friendly, attentive, engaging (good sense of humor), & helpful. If you love wine, you owe it to yourself to at least drop by Cooper’s Hawk at least once. You want to go wine tasting? You can do that. Want a nice dinner? Do that too. Want to have an event in a private room? Got you covered. Also consider joining the wine club which will allow you to pick up a wine of the month as well as get a bottle for your table whenever you eat there. My new favorite is the Gnocchi Cabenara. The egg roll appetizer is also a great choice as well.

I really love this restaurant. However, the last 2 times I have gone here, the time it took for our visit was a bit long. We were in for about 2 hours due to long waits, and the restaurant really did not have many people in it from what I could see. Otherwise, the food is wonderful, and the wine and truffles are DELISH!

Their wine club / rewards club is so worth it. My husband and I eat here pretty regularly and we often have rewards to use towards our meals. The food is good and the staff is always nice. The atmosphere is nice - good for date nights, but not so formal that we feel like we can’t take our baby here for lunch dates too. We love this restaurant.

Quite honestly I have no idea how CH Reston is always so packed - I’ve been multiple times trying to be optimistic about my previous experiences but each time the service is honestly awful. The food is good and the wine is okay (sometimes a real hit, other times a real miss), but it’s the service every time that has been disappointing. This last time was just last night (06/19/19) and while our server was friendly, he was spending all his time socializing with other tables instead of asking us for refills of wine (which we would’ve ordered had he bothered to stop by) or refilling our waters/generally checking in. Was going to order dessert but decided not to as we guessed it would probably take another 30 min to order that. We then went to pick up some bottles of wine from the tasting bar because we are part of the club. Three people working, two of which weren’t busy with customers, and had to wait 10 min for anyone to notice us. When she did (she was the most busy of the three) she said she’d be right with us soon - still had to wait another 5 min for her to actually help us despite her not helping other customers in those 5 min. Going to try to cancel our membership if it’s such a hassle just to pick up bottles of wine. And before CH gives me the standard response: if you read my comment thoroughly you’ll see I’ve already given the exact date and location of my visit and I also made my reservation through OpenTable so you should be able to figure out who was working then. I really recommend trying to train all of your staff to better manage the volume of customers.

My second visit...same opinion....noisy, hard to have a conversation, filet medallions are well done despite how they were ordered to be cooked; new shrimp entree was so well done that it was impossible to know they were shrimp. Everyone at the table experienced food that was cooked too long. Probably won't return.

Good decent but over priced. Service could have been better. Took for ever for our waitress to pick up our plates. Griend n ordered the chocolate covered strawberries. She received two the size of almonds for $4 each. When I asked the waitress what went through her mind when she saw the strawberries. She said she showed her manager and he laughed did nothing or said nothing so she brought them to our table. I said didn't t you think our response would be the second if not worst. She said yeah so she gave then free when my friend tried to return them. Seriously nor thanks

We first went to a branch in Orlando, FL and loved it. Tonight we went to the Reston, VA location with a group of 10. We wont be back to this one. They are careless. No one got a hot meal. Even the coffee and cappuchinos came out luke watm and tasting old like the coffee had sat for some time. One meal came out completely wrong. One meal was supposed to have the sauce on the side but came out with a large plate with mashed potatoes in the center, swimming in sauce and the protein on a separate small bread plate. They took the main plate back to "replate it". They brought back a side dish of potatoes and a soup bowl of sauce. They really had no clue what the issue was. Last we asked them to box up my Celiac sonss gluten free mac and cheese. They brought it back with the box in a plastic bag (unlike all the rest of the items they boxed). It was almost too hot to touch, it melted the crayon I used to label it - the only hot item at the whole meal! It was obvious something happened in the kitchen and they made him a new meal - not that they admitted it. I asked if the obviously not leftover box was gluten free and they said yes. Got home and checked before putting it in the fridge - the noodles are the wrong shape - clearly not gluten free . Sure they were busy but how hard is it to get hot coffee to a table. Or to tell the truth that you tossed someone's food - especially when you know they have a medical need for a special diet - instead of rushing to cover up your mistake and making it worse .

Half-a-dozen dining experiences here have confirmed that this upscale chain does pretty much everything right. Well-prepared, creative dishes rule the day here; every fish, chicken or pork entree has been outstanding without exception, and the large portions translate to good value. Always excellent service. This particular location offers al fresco dining as well as indoor.

I reserved a table online about a week in advance to celebrate a birthday. We were seated almost as soon as we walked in. The food was phenomenal and arrived quickly, the wine was delicious (I had a glass of Nightshade), and the staff was attentive. The only negatives are the parking is not great (although they do have valet service), the acoustics in the restaurant are extremely loud, and the Maitre D' area was not easily recognizable if you didn't know exactly where it was. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be going back!

Despite the inconvenience of 1/3 of our party not eating at the same time we had been fortunate enough to order some excellent appetizers (I recommend the bruschetta) which kept us satisfied as we waited for our meals. The wine choices were very good, but I recommend the sangria sampler- 4 glasses of sangria varieties, each of which were very delicious.

I am a wine club member and I love this place. The wine is really good, the food is delicious, and most of the time great service. I have one problem with Cooper's Hawk and it's the way they do wine tastings. There is no organization and I've sometimes had to wait over an hour for a tasting because people will be hawking around and swoop in regardless of who was there first. This place shouldn't be one where I have to field people off just to get a spot to drink wine. It's not relaxing and it's frustrating. If they fix this then it will be the perfect place!

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Do not go to this restaurant if you expect even the most basic form of service. The night started with sitting at the empty table for about 20 minutes until someone came by to get our drink order. Another 20 minutes go by until I have to actually ask for our server to bring bread to our table. They then proceeded to give us our appetizers and entrees at the exact same time. Who does that? I asked them to please hold our entrees so that it doesn't get cold while we eat the appetizer. I was expecting that our server will follow up with us and take note of when we finish the appetizer to bring out the entree. LIKE A NORMAL RESTAURANT. But that did not happen. We waited 35 minutes until I had to find someone and ask them to bring us our entrees since we have been LONG done with the appetizer. Once the entrees come out, I noticed that two of our orders are completely wrong and the person who ordered medium rare steak now had beyond well done steak due to the extended time under a heat lamp. And to top it off- during this long dinner of mostly waiting, not once were we asked if we wanted to order more drinks or had any refills of our waters. I would not have written this review if this was a one time experience. Sadly, I have a similar experience every time I dine here. I will no longer return to this restaurant until something changes.

Our waitor was super friendly and engaging and didn't bother us too much. My only suggestion is to turn the music down in the dining room. We've thought about going to Cooper's Hawk for a while, but could never find the time. We decided to pull the trigger and make a reservation for our 3rd wedding anniversary. We arrived, found parking, and were seated soon after arrival. Our waiter, Chris, was warm, inviting, and absolutely relatable. He helped guide us through the wine menu, told us how meals were paired with meals, and told us to not be afraid of asking questions. He was super attentive, even though he was obviously busy. He even brought us a desert for our wedding anniversary and wrote us a congratulations message on our receipt. It was above average service and proves that he actually cared about our experience and remembered our conversation. When we go back, we will ask to be in his section if possible. Look people, the restaurant is busy for a reason: good food, good wine, a great atmosphere, and a great staff. Tip your wait staff.

I usually like this place but yesterday on my birthday was not a good experience. I asked for medium well they gave me medium almost raw and mind you I’m 6 months pregnant. My plate was bloody couldn’t enjoy my mashed potatoes only the top half the scallops were good and the broccoli was so big I had to cut it I guess since we got there at 8:15 they was just rushing. Sent my steak back and Once again it was not cooked properly only two pieces were so I just boxed up it up and went home and recooked it myself. I’m high disappointed and had I not look at my food me and my unborn baby would have been sick. I will not be returning

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. And we were not disappointed. Great service. Awesome food. Gave us free dessert for our anniversary. Didn't stay for wine tasting, but wanted to. We would definitely return. FYI...not sure how high-class customers think they are. However, a guy sat next to us, about 6-7 feet away, and I could taste his cologne in my mouth. And I have a poor sense of smell and taste. Maybe you want to watch out for that!

My friends and I visited the Reston location last Saturday night for my birthday dinner and what started out as a great evening, turned into the worst and embarrassing experience ever. After 45 minutes of enjoying the tasting with an even more enjoyable bartender, our table reservation for 8:30 was ready for seating. After a few moments of waiting at the host stand, we were approached by a female manager that notified us that our clothing was too provocative for their family friendly atmosphere. We then proceeded to request her manger for clarification of our "provocative" clothing. He stated that some of the women in our party had SLEEVELESS shirts and even offered to give us a blazer or shirt from the back for us to wear during our dining experience. However, after looking around the restaurant/wine bar, we noticed that there were other female patrons that also had sleeveless shirts on and when asked if the manager had any intentions on addressing their attire he replied "I haven't gotten to them yet" It's hard to believe he had any intentions on addressing their attire considering that they were already seated and enjoying their dining experience. Needless to say, we did not stay for dinner and will not be returning. I recommend the update their dress code policy to reflect that no sleeveless clothing be worn in their establishment.

Atmosphere is great. Ordered my steak med/well and when it arrived is was rare so it went back and when it came back it was medium. I gave up. The manager asked if I wanted soup for the wait but already had soup. They did not offer or drink or anything for the mistake. The manager offered an apology and that was all. I have been to Cooper Hawk many times including my wedding dinner and dinner was always perfect. Getting a rare tenderloin was disappointing it was barely cooked. Other wise the other food was good.

Came for lunch and would not be back. The two star reviews are are reflection of the accommodation the kitchen gave me for my sea food allergy and their lack of presentation. Ordered a Hamburg with mayonnaise. Got it without any. Asked for garlic green beans and just got steamed (no seasoning, butter or oil). The burger was tasty. My wife ordered a salad and the presentation was awful. The waiter; I would give 3-1/2 stars, even though he was accommodating it took three requests for our check. Hope this helps you before you come.

My husband and I tried the new Coopers Hawk in New Lenox today. It was very open and bright inside. Tastefully decorated. Our server Lexi did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable about menu items and the wine club details. Portions were large and reasonably priced. You HAVE to try the lobster and crabmeat bisque! It's full of flavor and has seafood in every bite. And the wine is amazing of course.

The wine tasting was very interesting. It was very different than what I'm used to. Beer. I'm open to trying different things though. This was a great place to start. My wife joined their wine club. So you taste 8 different wines mostly of your choice. After that we got dinner their which was really good. The waiter we had was very helpful with any questions we had on wine and or food. This may be our new date night normal spot. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for either wine tasting or for dinner.

Love Coopers Hawk and want to give 5 stars however the hostess are a continuous problem and are not friendly what so ever. We have a wine membership and honestly love it. We get two bottles of wine and two tastings every month for an unbelievable deal. The food and drink selection is amazing. The best part of this establishment honestly is the GM- Chuck. He is simply amazing. He really picks up the slack for the rude/inattentive hostess. Chuck is always friendly and makes sure everything is going smoothly at the tables and wine tasting stations. We have a reservation coming up this Saturday for my father's birthday and I really looking forward to dinning here. Hopefully the hostess have a bad attitude. If you are thinking about dinning here... do it! You won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The service was great and it had a very comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely make a reservation if I were coming on a weekend; it was bustling on a Wednesday. The food is excellently seasoned, although the steak was a bit over and the tuna a tad under. We loved that we could find menu items to accommodate our diet very easily (lots of delicious veggie side items!), but next time we'd probably come slightly less hungry, since the portions are small. Wine is delicious, varied, and reasonably priced. There was nothing completely out of our moderate price range. We will likely plan to return.

Wow, what a terrible experience. The first half hour went by well, we placed our order and got some great appetizers: calamari and brussel sprouts. An hour after we ordered the waiter came by and offered coffee and dessert. We never got our entrees! And one of us was supposed to get soup! Eventually the soup came out (chowder) it tasted okay but was lukewarm. Finally, well over an hour after we ordered our entrees came out, but they were totally incorrect. When we got the correct food, it didn’t even taste good. The crab and pork was dry and spiceless, the roasted vegetables were undercooked, and the french fries tasted stale. Yikes, won’t come here again! Updating some things I forgot: We also didn’t get any bread. Every other table had bread. The waiter for table behind us spilled mustard on a woman. The table to the side of us was waiting about thirty minutes to pay and different employees kept servicing their table.

Went there tonight with a 5 of my friends. We did the wine tasting (which was great) followed by dinner and have had great experiences at the Orland Park location before. Tonight’s dinner service at the New Lenox locations was well under our expectations as we have all been looking forward to trying out the new location for some time. We we’re seated for dinner at 8:15pm and did not receive our entrees until 9:45pm. We were one of 7 tables in the restaurant being served so this should have had no effect on our service. We are not a group who complains much but when we got home one of my friends found a rubber band in her soup and another found a hair in her truffle dessert. This is highly disappointing as we expected the same service that we have received at other Cooper’s Hawk locations.
