So peaceful and great wine. Me and my husband drove from manassas to have wine trip. This place is so great. Wine and customer service was welcoming. Erin was very sweet and very welcoming.

For my 30th birthday, I rented a small charter bus for me and my friends. I did a route 50 tour of 4 different wineries. We showed up to Boxwood (with a party of 8) asking if 4 of us could do a tasting. The lady working looked us straight in the face and said no then rolled her eyes. I walked out furious and rounded up my friends. On our way out, the very nice manager apologized profusely however my mind was made up. It blows my mind that in this day and age, people are willing to just let money walk out the door. We could’ve easily racked up a couple hundred dollar tab but instead they got $0 from us. It’s too bad the manager (who was beyond nice) has staff members working for him like that.

Good prices. Best tasting wines out of the 4 wineries we tried nearby. Very knowledgeable staff. Small but pretty setting. More modern and less rustic than most wineries in the area, but one of the older ones. Highly recommended.

Reminded me of some of the French wineries we visited in Bordeaux. Wine was good. The hostess was pleasant. Prices are reasonable for Virginia wineries, bought a bottle to go. Oh yeah, one of the few Virginia wineries with a paved drive and lot.

Been members for a few years ... The winery is a great place to visit, also visit Boxwood at the Tasting Room in Reston Town Center or National Harbor. Originally, only reds blended in the Bordeaux style, for about the last two years they have a nice Sauvignon Blanc and Rose ... Try the Charcuterie and at least a glass of wine ... Something for every palate.

You have to love a winery and vineyard that has its own science lab. 60% Merlot and 40% nerd make a great blend. This is a great one to stop by and you should check the events list as well. Also, the office with the natural lighting to the left of the bar is AWESOME! As is obvious, I like this place for all of the reasons never considered by any winery!

Nice looking winery and grounds. Tasted 4 wines with a repeat for $10. A little expensive. Wines were not to my taste though. They only have red and I'm a red wine drinker, but they all tasted like cherry with a peppery, spicy finish. The pourer was nice and friendly, but a little dry and boring.

What a beautiful winery! We enjoyed our tasting and Erin (I think her name was) was lovely in explaining not only the wines, but the winery itself. She was very accommodating. We bought a few glasses and also had a cheese plate that was beyond delicious! One of the more romantic wineries as we were allowed to walk among the vineyards. The outdoor space was gorgeous and even though it is a large winery it had that feeling you get when visiting a home of someone you know.

Great Virginia red wines! The winery is designed so that you can see into all the rooms of the winery and learn about the whole process from the vine to your glass. Nice outdoor seating to relax with a glass of wine and lunch.

Reds are goods. Whites are very minerally, personally not a fan. Not bad place but biggest issue they have is a huge infestation of fruit flies. Actually made our visit extremely uncomfortable. The type of infestation they have needs an exterminator at this point no pitchers of wine in the corners to collect them.

The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed all the information they shared. Atmosphere is an interesting and modern mix of materials. Bring a picnic and sip wine outside. We had a tasting that helped us chose a favorite wine then opened a bottle to share in the fermentation room.

Lovely tasting room near Middleburg. If they have rosé in stock, buy as many bottles as they will let you. It sells out every year. Only bummer: not dog-friendly

We hadn't been out to this winery in quite some time and decided to stop by while out in the area this weekend. There were only 4 wines on the tasting for $10 and it wasn't until we asked when paying that they offered to make up for it with another tasting of one of the wines on the menu. Nothing really stood out out to us, so we passed but the price was not worth their current selection. They are also understaffed for a nice Spring weekend.

Boxwood Winery in Middleburg, VA is unfortunately NOT pet friendly; this is very surprising and disappointing since every business we have frequented in Middleburg, including wineries, is pet friendly; therefore, we would never go. A day out with our well behaved 16lb Coton is wonderful. Most wineries in that area do welcome dogs.
