This is a great place with very good variety. I don't really care for the set up. The cheese isle is closed in tightly by other product so browsing while busy in the store is a bit intense and frustrating at times. They do have a large selection of cheese, chips, and accoutrements though. Walk downstairs and check out the well stocked and thought out wine selection. There's a selection of beer and cider as well for you non wine drinkers.

I was very impressed with this place. They had such a huge selection of fine cheeses! They also had a good selection of hard to find candies. Downstairs was an overabundance of fine and beautiful wines and heavy beers. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to help! I found that the deli case was very clean and well-stocked. This will definitely become a favorite place to stop whenever I'm in the area. Even though some of the items were expensive, the items were completely worth it. There is plenty of parking and also handicap parking. The parking lot was plowed and kept clean.

Funky, kitschy Vermont store that's become a good reason to go out of the way on the way home. Bulk and packaged items galore. Drinks, snacks, and the CHEESE!! Holy moly, the 'everything bagel spread' is so good! Cheese curds, blocks or bars, chunks, fancy, French, goat's milk, and good ole sharp cheddar - they have it all.

Cheese Traders has changed ownership. I miss the real deals on wine. Like bottles of Penguin for $1.99 each. Cheese prices are still low and the selection of wines is still incredible. But since ownership changed over a year ago, I find the wine deals just aren't as low and I miss the occasional beer case specials. I still remember stocking up on a lite beer from a brewer in Mass. that was new to me at $7.99 a case. I really miss those deals!

I’m sad to say I’ve only recently experienced this unique shop after hearing about it from friends for years. I can’t speak to the wine selection downstairs, but there’s always something interesting upstairs, be it the bulk items up front, the local cheeses and meats, the Cabot cheese seconds, the discount overstock juice and sparkling drinks. I’ve even purchased cotton candy and a locally made granite cheeseboard.

So helpful. My wife was in charge of hosting a wine tasting. We know next to nothing about wine so we went here. Not only does this place have a great selection. Everything is labelled and there are people that actually want to help out. We got everything we needed in less than 15 minutes and the wine tasting was a huge success. If you need help picking out wines for people that know wines. Go here, you will learn something!!

This place has (as far as I know) the largest selection of cheese, wine, and hot sauce in the Burlington metro area. In addition to a limited selection of basic groceries, they also carry dried fruits, nuts, and some specialty & ethnic foods. I go there specifically for regional Spanish wines, of which there is a good selection (>40) at good prices. The wine specialists will try to accommodate specific requests. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible. Friendly & courteous staff.

Love this place. I always leave with more things than I planned, but usually spending a lot less too! This is a great spot for finding tasty meats and cheeses for your next dinner party, but the real goldmine is in the random snacks you can find. There are some incredible low prices here on yummy natural foods and goodies. Just make sure you check the expiration dates. With crackers and chips I've found no problem with some products that are even 6+ months expired, but some other items like soups and cottage cheese... that's a different story ;)

Because of the nature of the store (discounted due to not being " as young as it once was") I always stick to buying cheese that has clear packaging ....I have had cheese that was "over ripe" in non-transparent packaging, which was inedible.If you stick to parishible items that you can actually view the items than you can get some great deals!

I follow them on Facebook and come prepared to get a deal and try some cheese and wine/beer on Fridays (so why come any other day?) The deals are usually very close to expiration, so be awesome and go through lots of cheese so that's not a problem. Sometimes they've been sub-par, but I get enough deals to make up for the occasional duds. The weekly deals also encourage me to try way more varieties than I normally would. June sees some really big store wide sales. I can buy my whole summer's supply of wine at it and encourage you to do that same. Chips are frequently on sale and there are many other items besides cheese and wine as well. Always a fun beer I haven't tried yet. Limitless wines sorted by region, and Cabot cheese blocks of unusual shapes and sizes at discount continually.

Cheese and Wine Traders!!! Living across the state - we keep a list of things to pick up in bulk from this wonderful store. I recommend it to all of the guests who come for adventure tours and/or stay with us at Eden Ethical Dog Sledding - the layout of the store with all of its great products -many a step above "usual" -is great for taking home and for giving as gifts. They have a variety of great cheeses - REALLY GOOD GOURMET CHEESE and daily favorites - at great prices and ample samples to help you make selections. Downstairs - if you love wine and beer they have a huge selection. The "cold" room is where I pick up really great yoghurts, kefir, Kevass and other healthy cold foods/beverages in bulk for great prices. The selection of Vermont and non-local gourmet jellies, jams make great treats and/or presents for friends as they come in many standard and exotic flavor combinations. Great selection of crackers, candies and treats, too! I love their gourmet vinegars! ALSO they have great gourmet coffees in bulk packaging up to five pounds - for incredible prices - AND the staff seem to always be cheerful, helpful, able to answer questions and make suggestions . I have been going for over 8 years - at all times of the year - and have always had great support and service!

One of those magical places that has some stuff that is the absolute best of the best (some of their cheese and wine is very high quality) while also having super discounted items at the same time (think dented cans of beans for 20 cents, or a bag of chips that's a weird flavor for 3 for a dollar). I love this store. You have to be a savvy shopper, some things are priced above the prices you can get at a regular grocer, but when there are deals, man those deals are amazing. It's not just wine and cheese, it's overstocked items and out of date things that are still fine. You will find products here not even available in local stores.
