Beautiful place. This place is amazing. The staff is cordial, delightful to talk to, and always know how to treat their customers right. I always come through every week to buy something they always have something in stock. The prices are gorgeous as well. Best liquor store in New York in my opinion... wouldn't think about going anywhere else.

This is my neighborhood liquor store and I love this place. The staff is great, they have an awesome selection of wine and liquor and they frequently have tastings. Highly recommended.

It's not exactly cheap and doesn't have an exceptionally diverse inventory but it had a good number of different liquors that make you say, hmm I can't say I have seen that before. From French gin, to Dutch Jenever to some lesser known Greek Ouzo's. Stsff is ok, not exceptionally friendly but not unwelcoming. Worth a stop to visit and pick up something a bit more obscure to try.

Maybe it was a bad day for the store clerk but for what I paid for 2 bottles of wine I expected a hello and thank you for my purchase. I walked in earlier today looking for wines from South Africa. No hello, no may I help you, nothing not even a reply when I said hello. After finding two bottles, I walked over to the counter and was told the price and that's it. No did you find everything you wanted, no thank you nothing. There are plenty of wine shops in the neighborhood and I will try them all before I go back to McGovern's. Too bad it looked like a well stocked store but it was pricey..

Use to love this place and shop at the store before they moved up. But, horrible customer service via delivery. Do not order on their website. Placed an order and spoke with a female worker after to confirm. Was told it'll be there in 30mins. Over an hour passed and nothing. Called back and they completely forgot about my order. I was given a mere "sorry" and had to cancel the order after being charged for it. Will never shop here again.

Beautiful neighborhood shop. They have a tremendous selection of hard to find whiskies as well as everyday wine and spirits. The staff is very friendly and the store is quite shoppable.

Stumbled across this place while visiting my old neighborhood. Looks great, nicely set up, staff is helpful but not intrusive. Though prices are on the higher side, the selection is impressive, with imported wines from all over the world and other hard to find items. Will definitely return.

As a customer and friend of an employee I must say that this place is nothing short of terrible. From the way deals are done cash only and off the books to the way they price their liquors. As one of many liquor stores in the bay ridge area McGoverns tries to separate itself from the pack but to do that it slashes employee hours and works them to the bone while stifling their voice when they try to defend themselves. As it stands they deliver (sometimes on time) and will set items aside for pick up. This model works as long as their are employees to do that work but the store is grossly understaffed with no manager onsite. While I recommend going anywhere else if this location is the only place that has your niche liquor, get in and get out as to not linger too much in a store that has a faster turnover than a county jail.

This is the best Liquor Store in Brooklyn. The have the greatest selection of wine, both Domestic and Imported. As for the service, Kelliann is the best cashier I've come across. She knew where everything was that i was looking for.

Love this place, it’s a local favorite for me. Wonderful selection of wines, I find the staff to typically greet me and often is very polite. Today I decided to download their app and order 2 bottles of wine and recieved my order within 30 minutes or less. Delivery person was kind and I will certainly be using this delivery service again.
