This Winery is included in the category of Winery.
Wine was delicious but the girl working the counter giving samples was rude. She acted like she hated her job and all of us. We bought 6 bottles of wine and she acted like it was a huge hassle to deal with us.
Fabulous winery. I always enjoy getting a case of wine here. The employees are friendly and usually have some nice deals!
Came here for wine tastings and had an absolute blast! Our server, Jenn, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the wines she was presenting us. Definitely a great saleswoman, ended up walking out with more than I planned lol but it was all worth it. Very welcoming ambiance!
My wine tasting experience was awesome!!!! I purchased the Mountain Berry Wine, it is so delicious!!!!!!
The woman that helped us was very nice. I can not say if it's the best or worst wine you'll ever have. Cost is about $11 - $15 per bottle. They also sell a nice selection of accessories.
Try the mountain berry or the blackberry if you like sweet wine best we ever tried!
Excellent service and very clean. Very friendly. Collier Reserve and Mountain Valley Red were my favorite. Will definitely come back.
Wonderful place. Sweetest people and very knowledgeable
It was pretty cool lots of choices
Another fabulous visit!! Especially loved the limited edition Blackberry Pomegranate...Yum!!
It is great and the people are friendlee
Went in to taste wine and the lady was very rude and didn't look to enjoy her job. Terrible service.
We did the wine trail while in Pigeon Forge and greatly enjoyed our wine tasting the most at Mountain Valley Winery. Jenn (Red) made it a most fun wine tasting experience. She was friendly, knowledgeable and an all around great host.
Nice selection of wines. Employees were knowledgeable and nice. Great place for gifts.
My favorite winery! Always come here when we are in Pigeon Forge! Great selection of sweet wines!
Great winery and great staff and owner Jan was the bomb
Thank you Adam for an awesome wine tasting experience... :}
Awesome selection of wines to choose from and not a bad one in the bunch. Jenn aka Red was great provided so much info about each wine also introduced us to the wine slushies and membership club! A must stop location while in the area! We will be back Merry Christmas Jenn and tell your Boss you need a raise!
Always good
My family and I stopped here touring the area while on vacation. Our experience was amazing! Debbie did an AWESOME job not only explaining the wines to us, but she gave us a nice tour. The wines are an awesome quality at a great price! Mountain Valley Red, Blackberry, and the Collier Reserve are my favorites. Definitely a must visit location if you are in the area.
tasters were great about explaining everything and wine selection for everyone
Very pleasant and tasty samples
Great tasting wine, I bought 6 bottles.
Love this winery! Great tasting wines. I like the sweet and semi sweet and we joined the wine club. Worth every penny
My friends enjoyed it I am not a wine connoisseur
Loved it, wonderful wine and 100% customer service! Wine is amazing!!!
The wine tasting was a lot of fun! And their wine was the best. However, the service was terrible. The lady was rude and not friendly and we weren't even there to just do the free tasting and then leave. We love wine and ended up spending $75 in there. Wish the service would of been better.
While passing through Pigeon Forge I decided to stop at the Mountain Valley Vineyard to see what kind of wines they offered. Im always looking for new sweet white wines. I walked up to the main counter where I was greeted by a friendly hostess. I spoke with her a bit and described the types of wines I generally like and they made a few suggestions for a tasting. I also spoke with her a bit about photography in the area, and she made some recommendations on places to go that might make good photos. I sampled a few sweet and semi-sweet wines which included a muscadine, a sweet berry, and a rhubarb wine, ultimately purchasing a few bottles to bring back home. I had not seen rhubarb wine anywhere else ever and purchased a bottle of this to bring back as a gift for someone who loves Rhubarb pie. The tastings were free, the customer service was friendly, and the location right off the main street near many of the attractions. If your passing thru and like wine, I would highly suggest popping in for a quick tasting. You might find an amazing wine, and at worst have a nice roadside stop.
It was great we come here every year on our anniversary
I absolutely love this winery, and Rachel is awesome! Super sweet and helpful! I love the rhubarb wine, yum!
Unprofessional on how a temporary license from Texas was handled. Employees need to learn to talk to customers differently.
Great wines at a very reasonable price !!
Bought 6 bottles on Wednesday. Bought 6 more on Friday for a total of 1 case. Got a free insulated tote for a full case purchase. Justin is just a wonderful guy.
Great wines at a great price. The more you buy, the more you save!
It was great
Hit the trail! We love the wine trail and have been members of the wine club for a few years now. These wineries are awesome and you should try them all out!
Very nice loved the wine
Very friendly people
A Fantastic Place to visit.Wide assortment of excellent award winning wines. They also have a great group of people that keep it that way. Thanks to Karen,David,Sarge,Doug and William. They also carry some home decor.
Nice people, great free wine tasting and a great store and wine selection
Very nice people working there. Service and the ability to sample different
100% tourist site
Very nice place. Good people working. Had a blast.
The best people and the prices are wonderful love this place i will go back again amwhen i come back
Their mountain berry wine is the best, I only wish you could order a bottle and not the required six from their site lol six bottles of wine is just too expensive for me, however a bottle or two I could manage but sadly they do not give you this option, they would sell more wine I'd think if they did lol
Great winery! Staff is always friendly and very helpful. Great selection of wine. Samples available for tasting. Wine is all very good.
Very nice and helpful. We bought the peach wine
This place was great! The wines were fantastic... The Reserve was my pick!
Cool little place in pigeon forge. With very big beers.. made here.. tasty
The wine was decently good, compared to other wineries around, but the service was TERRIBLE. Particularly Gabby. We had a party of 10. The place wasn’t busy, we waited until the counter was cleared to all step up. Some of our party paid extra for extra tastings before we began. Most of our party didn’t finish their tastings because of her rude and uncomfortable attitude. Her behavior was unwarranted and it was bizarre. Those who paid extra for more tasting did not taste and chose to leave. Fair warning for all.
Very friendly staff. Free wine tasting, good stuff. Cute little shop w/ lots of cool wine paraphernalia. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff. FREE WINE TASTING. offered free cheese samples too. Nice selection to from. Even had frozen WINE slushie. Very nice. Also had a large selection of WINE purchase. As well as WINE decor & related items. Not pushy ...very laid back here. Music playing overhead on speakers but not tooo loud. Small group inside when we arrived but there was several TASTING areas open. We had our own area. Very good & informative staff & yet again not pushy like a car salesmen.
Awesome experience.
Hello all. I really liked this place and enjoyed the Cabernet and Merlot and purchased both of them, 2 of each. I don't like sweet wine and there are plenty here. Although I agree that some of the people serving the wine needed to be better educated about the winery and wine making in general, it didn't affect my experience. Is this great wine? No but it's not bad either. It went well with food and was equally enjoyable for sipping while in the hot tub enjoying the view. I saw a review of this man who was obviously a wine snob (but he denied it) and I would like to address that. This isn't Napa or Europe. It's the Smoky Mountains. It's a great national park area, country music, wonderful friendly helpful locals, and fun cabins for enjoying the area. The wine here will be more rustic so just go with the flow. But to everyone who visits this area, indulge a little. Buy wines you're familiar with. Experiment with new wines. Have fun. Because that's what it's all about. Enjoying new tastes and enjoying the wine of the Smoky Mountains. Cheers!
Good stuff
Great selection. Good wine! Friendly staff for tastings.
I love their wine nothing can compare to it
They were both very helpful taste-testing was excellent. We will enjoy coming back.
We stop by this winery to enjoy some local wines Travis assisted us with a wine tasting. He took the time to talk to us about each wine as he served us. The wine and service was fantastic. We will definitely come back!!
Went on Breakfast Wine Trail 3/9/19 and had a great time. Karen at Mountain View Winery was wonderful. She did our tasting and explained each wine and what to expect when tasting it. She was friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable and made our experience wonderful.
Great wine and a great experience, my need to hit spot when going to Pigeon Forge TN.
Super friendly staff!!!
Great prices on good wines.
Great wine nice to seat outside and enjoy
Great, no more said.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WINERY! I loved the staff and the wine is amazing.
We always stop here whenever we are in town. The Collier Reserve is the best.
You have a employee named Tammie that was one of the best hostess at the wine tasting the day at Nashville Shores. I really hope the next time you have a wine tasting event, Tammie will be one of the servers.
Fun and informative
Came in for a wine tasting and felt a little overwhelmed. Other than that the wine was good.
A weekend getaway to the mountains and we wanted to do something different so I found the Rocky Top Wine Trail. Our first stop was Hillside Winery. We were so impressed and loved Kevin. He was honestly the nicest guy every and informative about the wines and the whole process. He gave us a tour and we loved it!!!!!!! We have continued on to all the other stops and this is OuR FAVORITE. Thank you Kevin!!! Because of your customer service and amazing wines we will be ordering year round!!!!
Wish I could give this place 10 stars, mainly because of the excellent host "Red" (the only redhead). She was AMAZING! Sampled several wines, and she even gave my daughter some fruit juice and cheese. We will be coming back for sure.
Tammie was great! Loved the sangria with the mountain red
Good wine :)
Not a good variety of wines.
Everything was awesome
Awesome place.... the employees are great and very knowledgeable. I will definitely go back !
Very nice staff, great choice of wines.
Thank you Paullette! Had a great time checking out your winery, love the fact that you offer music outside to!
Great staff, products and INCREDIBLE wine!
Mountain Valley Vineyards would have been my first winery experience, but it was made clear by the employees that my friends and I were not welcome. Since we had a group of 13 women, out of common courtesy, we called ahead to let them know we were coming and asked if it would be a good time for us to show up. They told us they do not take reservations and that we could come anytime. When we got there, no one welcomed us to the winery. One employee stomped her feet and rolled her eyes as she walked around us - also without saying anything. We stood in the winery for about 5-10 minutes with no service and decided it was time for us to leave. It was an almost first winery experience that I probably will not forget and I will not be visiting them in the future.
Love colliers reserve!!
A OK
Free wine tasting... okay if you like incredibly sweet wines.
Good
I love and miss this place. Beautiful
Super people working there, wine selection is very good
Mountain Valley wine is my absolute favorite wine! We take trips from KY just to purchase. Also used the shipping method. Great experience!
Bonnie was awesome!
My favorite place to buy great wine and the home if the Rocky Top Wine Club. I never leave with less than 2 cases. My favorite is there American Muscadine. Great for lowering your blood pressure, a glass a night works better than any medication from your doctor. (At least in my case: and remember I said a glass not a bottle) My boyfriend's favorite is Collier Reserve which is a red Muscadine. I truly think it had helped his brain cancer from returning. (Primary brain cancer- 8 tumors stage 4/5. He refused biopsy, did removal surgery, which is how they found the 7 small tumors. Refused radiation, only did 1 of 8 rounds of chemo and told the doctors to shove it. Given 12 months to live, it's been 15 years) Take the time to look up the benefits of Muscadine skins and seeds or just talk to the Very Knowledgeable Staff at Mountain Valley. You can also pick up some great cheese and sausage to serve with your wine and the have a great variety of wine glasses. A must stop if you are near.
Great wines, great club, horrible service. I order from here all of the time and have only had the best of experiences except when I tried to make a purchase on a day they had a special. I had been doing other things all day like working, shopping, etc to get home around 11:15pm when I tried to submit my order. The website wasn't giving me that price. Long story short, David from shipping refused to honor the price because they were in a different time zone. FYI - the e-mail about specials said nothing about time zones just that 12am-12am that day the special was available. He said that I should know what time zone they are in ? How would I know?! Oh well.. Like I said it's a great club with some great wines, just very disappointed in its service
Thay are very friendly and know that stuff
The Blackberry Pomegranate Wine is fantastic!
Great people and wine!
My favorite place to buy wine. They will ship to Illinois also. There really isn’t a bad wine. Great place for a wine newbie or seasoned pro. Their Red & White Muscadines are my favorites. Large parking lot, & several wine tasting areas. You only get to try 4 wines free.
Jen (Red) was phenomenal. She was very informative and helpful. We left with a case of wine and six slush mixes. We are from Minnesota and had limited room in our vette. We will absolutely be back our next trip to Tennessee.
Absolutely love this place. Everyone is so incredibly sweet. Love the wines . In June every year we come and this place never lets me down. Kristin Ball is the sweeties. Hands down the best.
This is the place that hooked my wife and I on wine. They kindly explained the areas wine trail and we started incorporating it into ALL of our visits to the Smokeys. You can easily visit them all if you plan it into your vacation. This is usually the fourth stop for us on the wine trail. We are members of the wine club so we get to try all the wines on the list. We also make our own wine and like to find a flavor that we like to try and duplicate. For this reason ALL wineries will get a minimum of 4 stars from me. They have dry, semi sweet, sweet, and a frozen mix to choose from. I think they can only let you have 6 samples per person so choose your samples based on your pallet preference. The blackberry is my favorite. It is tart and full of flavor. Don't forget to stamp your trail card and don't leave it on the counter. On to Sugar land winery in Gatlinburg to finish your trail card. There is an Old Mill Winery maybe a mile down the main strip from Mountain Valley if you would like to try there wine.
This winery is amazing! If you are in Pigeon Forge you definitely need to go there!
Good wine, good service.
I'd love to write a good review but...this place is a rip off...the wine there is way over priced and was lacking something as far as the taste....if you'd like to taste some of the finest Muscadine Wine you can get your hands on at a reasonable price the Chautauqua Vineyard & Winery right off the Interstate in Defuniak Springs Florida is the place. Theres not minimum orders...can ship about anywhere...and at about half the price or a little under....
Great place GREAT wine and prices , what knocked rating down is Staff is the most unfriendly bunch in all of Tennessee in my opinion
Wine was decent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Many different options including frozen and warm wine. Wine varied in prices beginning around $18.
Everyone is always so friendly and helpful here! Today we went and checked out the wine slushies I had seen on Facebook!! They explained how to make them and gave us a good deal on some wine! We always love visting Mountain Valley Vinyards when we visit!!
Mountain Valley Peach is the best wine I've found. This wine is actually tasty makes you want to enjoy it.
We LOVE this place so much! We visit here every time we r that way. Very nice staff also!
Awesome staff very friendly and knowledgeable about their products
Good but had to stand no seating...
Wine is ok. Not the best in pigeon forge
Nice set up and good wine. Gave you 4 wines to taste for free. The Blackberry Port was excellent.
Nice little place. Great wine and people.
Enjoyed it you need to try it
Wine tasting today was wonderful! Ashley was so kind. We enjoyed our visit!!!
An ok place for wine and wine making supplies.
Excellent Wine, friendly Staff it was hard to choose which ones we liked better. A must visit Winery. On the wine tour I highly recommend if you have time to do the tour.
If they would keep up with the quality they would be the best winery in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, but it's been a few months since the quality of their wines have changed. We went there last month, bought three bottles thinking they would be as good as the last ones but they weren't, totally waste of money. Weaker wine with quite different flavor and color, especially the rhubarb one, even their employee told us that they had the special sale on the blackberry wine exactly because they made a bad batch and the wine came out too sour. We should have take the hint. I mean, what kind of winery can't be consistent and always sell the same wine/quality/flavor, etc?... We always visited them when in Pigeon Forge, and always left with several bottles, despite their poor costume service, but not anymore. It's a shame!
Love the club, love the wines (blackberry is my favorite), love the service and interaction. Had a blast when we were there. Keep up the great work!
