Currently the business has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 170 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is basically the best one, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can say that the valuation is very accurate. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Winery is included in the category of Winery.
The staff was very friendly and the wine was good. We got a tour of the bottling room and even got to see more after the tour was over and everyone else left. We loved being able to see behind the scenes and learn about the specialized equipment they use. As an amateur wine maker, I had a blast!
Brittany, Ken (Jerry), the tour guide was so awesome. Becka too. The most informative and fun wine tour I've attended EVER!!
No common sense here. When a white haired 50+ year old woman is refused service because her driver's license is EXPIRED (doesn't change her age).... They do have sign that says I'd required...doesn't mention must be current...and wouldn't accept digital copy of passport. I understand trying to prevent underage drinking....but really.
Nice place, wine so so
Nice place with Great Wine!
Great staff and wine
Our Favorite Winery On The Trail.
Very friendly, very clean, an excellent service. Will definitely come back on a future visit. The Vino Rosso is wonderful as well as the Black and Blue.
Is the best, friendliest wine tasting spot in Tennessee
Their version of a Chianti was tasty. Good service and good wines.
Is a pretty establishment but is expensive. Wines were ok, staff wasn't the friendliest. Would not stop again.
Great wine choices. Everyone was super nice. Definitely do the wine trail. After visiting three of the wineries we got wine glasses and after the 6th we got an insulated wine bag.
We recently received our case of Black and Blue wine. And seeing the comments of others, it is a favorite! However when opening our first bottle (and I must say with great anticipation )it was NOT the same loved wine! The color was that of a Blush wine and the taste was that of a Muscadine, not a BlackBerry or Blueberry to be tasted at all!. We called right away and we're told several reasons why it tasted DIFFERENT. Apparently they don't think we know our fruit. (We own 72 acres in Ga. and grow 7 different fruits in which B &B are a large section of the fruits grown.) We were told if the wine is shipped in the winter it can affect the taste (from Tennessee to Ga) We were told maybe it tasted different because the Blackberries came from different areas or picked sooner or later. We were told it could not possibly be different because they submitted their recipe to the government and had to be followed. I am thinking they have the right recipe for A Wine but the WRONG LABEL on the case we received. We have been growing this type of fruit over ten years and sell a lot of it because of the quality year after year. So please do not tell us it is all in our heads and the wine we received was right. That would mean when ever you order wine who knows what you will get. No need to identify it cause it could be a different flavor each time. There was NO offer to rectify this problem. I would gladly send them one bottle back to see for themselves it is not Black and Blue but I was told, sorry mam, have a good day. Thank you, one sad customer
We took the tour with Kevin and he was terrific. He was very knowledgeable about the wines there and we learned a lot that we didn't know about the way the wines are made. Then Nala helped us with the wine tasting. She was also very helpful with helping us make our choices of which wines we wanted to take home What a great personality. She was not only beautiful but also a great asset to Hillside winery. Thanks to everyone for making our visit there very memorable.
Staff was great! Black and blue wine is my favorite!
This was the 2nd stop of our wine tour. High end gift shop, with separate room for wine tasting, plenty of parking. Fairly decent wine with fairly decent prices. Worth the stop. Be sure to get your self guided tour map. They stamp it at each stop, and most places give you freebies when you buy a bottle.
My favorite winery of all the ones in the tour. We stop here every trip to the smokies and almost always leave with a bottle of Black & Blue :-) YUM! Got our first tour of the winery this time, and Kevin was knowledgeable, friendly and really enjoyed what he was doing! Can't wait to get home and drink my wine!
Fun people, nice wines...nice place to relax after a long day of shopping...we really enjoyed it!
Loved Jane she was so knowledgeable and a great help!! We had to have 6 bottles!
Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about their wines.
Awesome Place great wine friendly servers one of the best wineries in Tennessee.
Smells amazing as your pulling up! Wines are delicious! Stop by for a free wine tasting! They were very nice and informative about the wines.
Loved Hillside wines and gift shop. Very friendly & helpful. If We had not been meeting family. I would have purchased several bottles & sat on patio the entire day!
Me n my girlfriend went here to do the wine tasting for my birthday. The bartender Kate was amazing she was very nice and actually talked to us like people and not like a sale she was very knowledgeable about the wine and history and was able to pick ones she knew we would like. The best wine tasting experience I've had. Black n Blue still my favorite even though it taste a bit different from the last 2yrs batch.
Love Hillside winery. And all the local wineries
Enjoy this winery and staff is friendly.
Onsite winery, several award winning runs.
The wine was pretty good. We visited both the other sister wineries and our service at this one was the best. Our guy was new it was his first day but he was so nice and helpful. I believe his name was David. The gift shop was the best out of all 3 wineries because they had Alabama stuff!
Brought several bottles home and put in rack. Wine went bad in under 6 months
Totally awesome winery! Great people and great wine, my friend and I enjoyed it thoroughly. We also did the wine tour with kev and Paul who are also awesome! Krisenda was amazing to talk to and was funny! Highly recommend!
We've been to a lot of wineries and this one is by far THE BEST one! Debbie behind the bar was very personable and knowledgeable about the wines. Kevin gave us a tour .. He was hilarious and also very knowledgeable. The customer service was phenomenal... And that isn't even the best part .. The wine... OMG! So. Good. This is a definite must stop when in the area and we'll for sure be ordering their wine to be shipped to our house as we don't live locally.
Visited several months ago to get a bottle of mine as a gift. Great staff, reasonable prices, fast service.
This is one of the stops on the local wine tours. The staff is knowledgeable, fun, and very helpful. This location has great wine as well as quality souvenirs! You will not be disappointed if you stop by! If you enjoy wine, you will find something you want to take home!
Great place the best wine's ever
Friendly staff, great wine. o did I mention the slushies? Outstanding!!!
You won't find better wine anywhere. I buy 6 bottles of Rasberry Blush and 6 Black and Blue everytime My wife and I are there. When I can't get there, they send it to me! Way to go Hillside....top shelf wine!

Great staff and selection! The Black and Blue is my favorite wine they have!
Nice, quick and try the spumanti
Great tasting experience. Derek was very gracious and the wine is delicious.
We stopped by for a bottle of wine. They were very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the tasting and the wine we purchased.
I love this place!!
Nice staff and they are knowledgeable of wine.
Great wine, great place. Will be visiting again when we come back on vacation to the Great Smokey Mountains.
Great wine and service, always have friendly staff!
Very friendly service
I loved there wine. We go almost every year to gatlinburg just to visit the wineries on the winery trail.
Wonderful Winery, beautiful inside and out. Krisenda was awesome! She’s very friendly and kept conversation going. We bought 3 bottles right there. Will recommend to everyone.
Debra Kay was absolutely the best. This was the best wine tasting experience I've had. I come here every year I have to say this was my best experience here. Thanks for everything. Great wine I loved all I tasted.
Worst winery in Sieverville. Tasted like viniger
This was an interesting wine experience. I bought the Zinfandel and Sangiovese. Both good tasting wines for enjoying with food or sipping at the hot tub. They also have sweet wines if that's what you prefer. I like the dry wines. The tour was alot of fun. I picked up some great shirts for friends and myself and the next time I go back here I will go again. I would recommend it to everyone.
Lousy can no merlot
Wine tasting and stuff
A very friendly staff member gave us a tour and answered all our questions. The tasting room staff was very helpful and made great suggestions based on what we like. Great place to visit and family friendly.
Loved it. I can't remember the lady's name but she was so knowledgeable and helpful finding several different wines for my taste. Very satisfied.
Great wine and service
Like most every other winery here. Nice selection at all. Plenty of miscellaneous items for purchase. Very friendly staff. Wines are a little on the high side, but prices all about the same at each winery.
Just love hillside winery & gift shop. The staff was very friendly. They helped me pick I wine that I just love. Always tell everyone one that's going to be in Pigeon Forge to make sure you stop in there. And of course to bring me a bottle of wine lol...
Good wines! Actual tastings, unlike on the Parkway..descent prices.
We enjoyed the wine tasting here and bought a bottle of the blue and red wine at a money discounted price. We loved it!
Kev was a wonderful wine guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. We would highly recommend going to the tasting here.
Had a great time tasting the wine and being able to see the wine room right behind you. The decor in the tasting room was very pretty and the wine was fantastic. Our tasting guide was a very nice gentleman and explained everything well. We ended up buying from there because their wine is really good. We actually ended up going BACK the next day to buy from the gift shop. They had a lot to chose from in the shop. The older woman who served as a hostess was a very sweet woman.
It is a great place their wines are very good.
The black and blue wine is amazing. The sangria is my favorite though. I stop and get 6 atleast every time I am in town. Super nice workers and you can sample. Stop in and sample the sangria, you wont be let down.
Yum yum yum...all i can say, good wine, good samples and i bought 3 bottles.
After a long day at Dollywood I walked over to Hillside winery for a little Mom break...lol. Becca was great! We talked as I tried all the wine and she sent we back to the hotel with a perfect pool side mixer and a to go cup of a sangria slushy. I would highly recommend you take a mom break next time your here!
Love the wines here and the free tour.
The employees were very helpful and pleasant. They assisted in helping me get the same wine I had bought on a previous visit with few clues from me. The wine tasting was done expertly while handling other priorities. Could not ask for a better experience or wines.
This place is absolutely wonderful! My husband and I stopped in while on a short trip to Gatlinburg. There is a wine tour that includes a few wineries you can do free tastings at. Hillside was our first stop. We were greeted and attended by Derek the front house manager, he made the whole experience very joyful. We also got a private tour of the back of the house. Doug the wine maker gave us a run through of the wine making process. By far the best winery we went to. The staff is personable and very fries. Highly recommend it!!
The people were very accommodating. The tour was very informative.
Great place with great people.
Excellent wines and friendly service.
Debbie was great!
Excellent wines, excellent service. Join the Rocky Mountain Wine Club and enjoy your discounts. The specialize in Italian style wines and Bubblies. Great gift shop with fair prices.
Great associates!
We specifically went to Hillside Winery in July 2016 after tasting some of the Black and Blue wine at a friend's house. We liked it so much that we bought several bottles and gave a bottle to a friend at Christmas. She loved it because she could specifically taste the blackberry and blueberry in it and in turn ordered a case of it just recently. Much to her disappointment, the new bottle tasted like a muscadine wine with even a different color. After speaking with Kevin, at Hillside, I was told that every batch of the Black and Blue could taste differently and be a different color based on the fruit they get from the Tennessee farmers. I understand how the fruit could be different, but when you buy a Merlot wine, it does not taste like a Pinot. When you order something online, you expect it to be what you ordered and not entirely different. If you knew it could be an entirely different taste (and color), you could just ask them to send you any case of wine....whatever they had. I feel bad for recommending this company to my friend and will certainly not order from them!!! Just beware of what you may get when you order.
The winery was awesome. Brittany was fantastic. She really knows about the wines. Please keep the sangria in the inventory because it was amazing. It was my favorite. Please keep Brittany because she is a very valuable asset to your winery.
It was ok but the Lady waiting on us seemed more interested in talking to her lady friends i stead of serving us. We would have bought some wine but bad service means no sale in my Book.
This is usually the second stop for us on the wine trail. We are members of the wine club so we get to try all the wines on the list. We also make our own wine and like to find a flavor that we like and try to duplicate them. For that reason ALL wineries will get a minimum of 4 stars from me. They have dry, semi sweet, sweet, bubbly, and a frozen mix to choose from. I think they can only let you have 6 samples per person so choose your samples based on your pallet preference. They also have some neat items for sale in there store so check them out. If you like a bubbly wine you must try the bubbly muscadine they have here. It's the best bubbly I have found. Be sure to get your trail card stamped and don't leave it on the counter when you leave!! Now on to the Apple Barn!!!!
I have been visiting here for several years. This years (2018) wine have truly tasted the best. The gal helping us was so sweet, kind, & engaging with our family group. In years prior we always had a very cocky gentleman. There is plenty of parking, separate wine tasting area, & tours of their facilities. Definitely stop by this year, you won’t be sorry. You get to sample ALL their wines for $5.00.
This was wonderful. The servers were nice and knowledgible. The wine was good. They were also handicap friendly.
Loved many of the wines! Ordered from home several times. My new favorite winery in Tennessee.
Great selection of wines. Must stop for every one
Great people and wine!
Brooke was awesome!!!
Very pleasant and helpful staff
Keri was extremely helpful, very sweet and personable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Bad wine.
Going to the Hillside Winery was the peak of our trip to TN the manager Lawson is absolutely amazing and made sure our group had the best experience possible! If you’re in Tennessee this is the place you need to visit! Amazing wine and top notch customer service!
Um can I give them more stars? We went in for a tasting and the service was absolutely amazing! Our group ended up getting several bottles.
This was our 2nd stop on the wine tour, but it was awesome! Sara took such good care of us, and even shared her favorites from the other wineries we are planning to visit. So friendly and knowledgeable! It was like drinking wine with a friend. Definitely recommend making a stop at Hillside!
We really enjoyed visiting here while we were in town and sampling their wines with their free tasting. There were several that we enjoyed and purchased, but our favorite was definitely the Black and Blue! We stopped in to get a stamp on the local winery tour card (you can earn free wine glasses by going to 3 or 5 of the ones lister), but we were pleasantly surprised to really like their wines!
Kevin was amazing! He was knowledgeable and patiently answered every question. Excellent experience. Highly recommended.
You have to try the following wines they are the best. Thanks Derek I will definitely come back Muscadine Spumante Black and Blue Sangria
Debbie was awesome!!!
The employees are wonderful and I recognize several faces from my visit two years ago. I just find all of their wine to be overly sweet, even the dry ones. I will probably return next time I am in town.
Super Place. Great staff. Holly knows her stuff. Don't miss this place.
Interesting place to go, nice people
Tasty wines (especially the sparkling ones), friendly staff, and fun gift shop.
Some good wine and great staff
This is my first ever review. My husband and I visited this winery on thanksgiving day 2018. We enjoyed the wine tasting and the customer service was great. The reason I’m giving one star is because upon arriving back home (Georgia) my husband opened a bottle of sangria purchased from hillside and it tasted like apple cider vinegar. IT TASTED NOTHING LIKE WHAT WE TASTED AT THE WINE TASTING. So disappointed. hesitant to open the other 2 bottles. We paid $52.81 for 3 bottles of wine (1 Sangria and 2 Cantina Bianca’s). Buyer beware. Especially if you don’t live close by to return wine.
