I've only been to this Barcelona Wine Bar, so I have no experience with the many other locations of this chain. This one is fantastic, especially for large groups. Twice now, I've brought in over a dozen people, and both times, all of us enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and impeccable service. Sharing lots of dishes is my preference for group dining, and Barcelona Wine Bar makes it easy. Plus, there are plenty of options on the menu if your group includes vegetarians or vegans.

5 stars all the way across. From food to management everything was so great! I took my husband here for his birthday and we had such a great time for lunch on a Saturday. This place is busier at night so we decided to try it during the day and the experience couldn’t have been better. The tapas were delicious, crepes, the olive oil cake (yeah I know wth but it was so good) and the paella was great too if you love seafood.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Nashville. I am in love with the ambiance. The wine and the food are exceptional, unique and fairly priced. Above all else, the staff is charismatic and passionate about their jobs. They take great care in their recommendations and service to each patron. I cannot get enough of this place.

Edit: The acoustics in this place are still less than desirable, but if you pick a patio spot, it's a MUCH better experience! After leaving a 3-star review, the manager reached out to me directly and assured me he'd like to take care of me and my 3 girlfriends that had originally dined here together. Take care of us he did! We came in and were given preference on seating, as well as two servers that worked in tandem to take care of us for THREE hours. Dan is a new manager to this location and is really about getting things on track in the experience department. And, as previously stated, the food is flavorful and unique. This was an exceptional experience and we'll definitely be back! Loud and fullllll of 20- something hipsters. The service was meh, but the tapas were unique and flavorful. We were on time for our reservation and still ended up waiting an hour. With a host of amazing restaurants in Nashville, this wouldn't be my first choice to go back to. Maybe brunch or lunch on a weekday would be a better experience, but good god this place was so loud and cramped.

We had a great time! Monday is half price wine bottle night, so that was a real treat! We had drinks as well, and they were tasty and on point. The tapas were delish, quaint, tasty, and filling without being over done. We were celebrating my birthday and our server gifted us a free surprise treat which was extra tasty. I love the atmosphere and the set up...perfect for date night or a group of friends.

I am a native Floridian with Spanish heritage- the croquettes are the first I have had in the TN, Nashville area and they are to die for! The aoli pairing was spot on. I love the bacon wrapped dates and their queso, like their cheesecake was perfectly browned- the crisp burn I have been missing in other establishments! We sat at the bar and felt at home as young, tattooed professionals. When we were seated at a 2 person table, we were accommodated at a larger table with nonhassle whatsoever. Server was knowledgeable, friendly and beautiful and the manager was respectable and accommodating. This is a new favorite love of a restaurant. We highly enjoyed the experience and recommend to any who inquire!

Had a wonderful experience at Barcelona. The Roja reserve was outstanding. We started with the risotto tapas as well as the New York strip. Both were very good. My daughter and I were a little confused on the menu and ordered what we thought was a paella but ended up being just cuts of meat. When we told the MGR the mistake we made they rectified it immediately for us. As a fine dining restaurant owner it was a pleasure to see how their staff accommodated us. I would love to employ anyone of them if they are ever in Montana. The paella arrived and was thoroughly enjoyed. When back in Nashville visiting my daughter we definitely be back.

Called earlier in the day to make a reservation for dinner, and I was assured we needed no reservation. We show up at dinner time excited for our meal, and we’re told that there are many parties ahead of us and that we would need to wait. When I explained the situation to the hostess, she did not apologize and responded with, “I don’t know who said that.” We eventually requested to sit outside, but after almost ten minutes of no one waiting on us, we left. Extremely disappointing, especially after already paying for parking.

My boyfriend and I went on Wednesday night for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. I made a reservation online and got seated promptly at the reso time. They were full and busy which is always a good sign. Definitely recommend the BarCava sparkling wine! It goes great with the charcuterie appetizer. Also recommend the brussels sprouts, the hanger steak, the pork belly, and the patatas bravas. Thank you Peyton and Axel for being so great with service. We will be back!

Found my happy place in Nashville! The wine list is excellent, the service exceptional, the bacon wrapped dates are amazing, and the olives take me right back to Spain! We sat on their patio, which was lovely as it has trees blocking the street noise. The red sangria was just okay (although we loved the one with the twist of grapefruit) and the tortilla was a little dry for Spanish standards, but still good for American standards. I will definitely be back, multiple times.

Wine selection is vast but slightly confusing. However, the servers are great about helping with recommendations. The food was absolutely exquisite. The only recommendation I have is that the make the menu easier to understand with better descriptions of the topas.

A great atmosphere with a nice wine selection and tapas. The patio is perfect for a beautiful night or a sunny afternoon. Recommend the cheese selection with their fluffy bread and a make your own wine flight. The crowd had gotten a bit loud at the bar on the weekends with bachelorette parties, not the same hometown feel as when it opened, setup a good meal.

I absolutely loved this place! The waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended the perfect wine pairings. Every bite we ate was scrumptious. I loved the pasta (not sure of name). The patatas bravas were packed with flavor. The charcuterie board was such a generous size for 1 person, we couldn't finish it all. The flatbread was heaven in every bite, the perfect amount of cheese and greens.

The food was really good, however a better description of each tapas would be appreciated. However i made a reservation and confirmed it for 7:15 on Saturday night, we didn't get sat for another 45 minutes. People who walked in off the street were sat before us, and we were just 2 people. You can't hear yourself think in there. the music is so loud and everyone is screaming to be heard over each other and the music. The paella was burnt which broker my heart cause that is what i was most excited to try. for a bill over $100.00 you would think the restaurant had their stuff together. Update: The Manager contacted me and was really great and extremely helpful.

I went to this restaurant wanting a good glass of wine, and I got so much more that. We ended up having 7 or 8 tapas followed by a dessert of cheesecake which was unbelievable. The best thing about the entire meal was the server, Nesh. He helped us go through each of the tapas and explained which were his favorites and why. He even wrote down the wine I had so that I could get it later! It was the best service I have received at any restaurant in Nashville. We loved it so much that we have already sent so many of our friends to get dinner there because we loved it so much. I highly highly recommend giving this place a try! It will become one of your favorites in town!

One of our favorite spots to go for date night or to bring visitors! They have a very accommodating and knowledgeable staff when it comes to allergies. Everything on the menu is delicious! The cheese boards are amazing as well. Great meat and veggie options for everyone. Love the tapas concept, everyone orders a few items and everyone shares. Great because it allows the group to try fun and different foods!! Great cocktails as well. The atmosphere is great for a date night feel (dark and loud-ish). Not a great place for kids, I would say.

Normally LOVE Barcelona but last night was kind of a bummer. We had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time for a table, and then they were out of so much stuff we ordered! Certain wines, Burrata, croquetas, and the cheese we wanted. The steak tapas we ordered came an hour after everything else and other servers kept trying to bring food meant for other tables to our table. And our server kept taking things away from our table before we were completely done, and asking every few minutes if he could take the plates away. Was a very weird experience last night!

The food here was amazing! All of the tapas we tried were great and well made. We ordered 4 to share and paella for 1 split between two and the chicken pimientos. While the paella was truly amazing and everyone was very happy with it, the chicken pimientos truly stole the show. The sauce was amazing and they offered bread to sop up the extra because everyone generally loves it so much. Will be returning for another fine dining night

Really great place. My husband and I felt like we were still in NYC. We got a spot at the bar right away which was like a rectangle or square shape. We had drinks and appetizers. I've never left a tapas place full until I went to Barcelona! We opted in for the $35/person deal where they bring a large selection of dishes (their choice), which was perfect for our group of 11. (This did not include drinks.) While we were a bit hesitant to commit to the deal because of the mystery of it, everyone was impressed. I would guess we tried about 10-15 different dishes and didn't have to deal with the headache of ordering enough portions and selection for a large group. Thank you!

Meh. Bar and music was extremely loud. We sat at a four top, and people on the "far" end couldn't even hear the server. Most of the patrons are there to drink, not eat. I would not expect it to be a meal for a date. The tapas are hit or miss. Some were great and some were not good. Reservations for four, but we weren't seated until the whole party arrived. Sure, that is an understandable policy especially for large parties, but 2 people will take up a table just like 4 people. The Coyote-Ugly bar shots in the middle of our meal was off-putting. Tapas come out as they are ready, but in no rational sense or order. Farro was dropped almost immediately, and whipped sheep's milk cheese with honey was one of the last we received...? From 6:30 to 9:00 for four people to get 10 tapas... Go here to get drunk and have snacks; not really to enjoy a meal.

I went with my wife and adult daughter for dinner. We had an 8pm reservation and got there at 8. They checked us in by Ipad at 803. We waited 40 minutes as they sat a few walkins for 2. When I politely "inquired" they finally found us a table. But it was a 2 person table with a random side chair (behind the salt and pepper shakers and where the waiter would leave the bread basket). One of the other chairs had a wine spill sitting under it already. I am 5'9 "and 162 pounds and when I was sitting in the "side chair," it kept hitting the table behind me. Some of the tables at this place are almost impossibly on top of each other to begin with. After apologizing to the couple behind us for my chairback abutting their table, I decided to talk to the manager since he came for the wine spill in my wife's spot. He reseated us, but I don't know why we didn't get a legitimate table in the first place after waiting so much longer than when our reservation was actually made. He did send an appetizer, which I appreciate and was good.

We recently moved to Nashville and Barcelona Wine Bar is our favorite restaurant of anywhere we have ever lived. The constantly changing menu is fresh and exciting - probably the most amazing, creative, tasty, interesting, and unique dishes we've ever had anywhere. And the wine! Extensive wine selections, from Spain of course, that we are enjoying exploring on every Monday half-priced bottle night. My husband and I are on a keto diet and find it so easy to stay on our plan, yet have gourmet food. I'm tempted to knock off a star or two for the way-too-loud music inside, but the staff is so super friendly and helpful, the food is over the top delicious - and we sit outside whenever we can and avoid the noise. Maybe they could make Mondays half-volume music night too!

The only issue I have is the VERY rude and unprofessional chef. With an attitude like hers I guarantee she is hated by customers, employees and owner. This is not the alcohol talking. Did I mention the service rocks too!... Footnote, the prices are great, but don't think you can get full and satisfied for $15

It's pretty simple; the food served at this restaurant does not taste good. The atmosphere would be ok if the pop-techno music they play wasn't unbearably loud. Maybe it's just me, but I don't enjoy having to straight up yell when speaking to someone sitting two feet away. I would give some insight on the service, but we really didn't get any. We also didn't get our entire order, which in this case was a positive. You would think that with so many small plates to choose from they would get something right, but any positives in terms of the dish are quickly negated by the quality of the ingredients. I wish someone had told me not to take a bite of the hanger steak. Don't touch those mussels, y'all. The second star on my rating is awarded exclusively to the bartender. They make a damn good gimlet. I suggest ordering two at once, as they take 10-15 minutes to reach your table. Truth be told, my boyfriend and I enjoyed ourselves. It was kind of like watching a really trendy dumpster fire. Props to the owners for trying, but I don't think this restaurant is long for the world.

After our honeymoon in Barcelona I was skeptical that the tapas and drinks would not compare. I could not have been more wrong! All the tapas we tried was delicious. The ham and cheese croquettes were just as good as the ones we had in Barcelona. I recommend the chorizo and figs...so good. The mussels were great. The bar cava bubbly was perfect. The reason for four stars rather than five was the music was unnecessarily loud. It was hard to have conversation with our friends.

The manager Mitchell took the time to introduce Erin and Kaitlyn and a training server. Each one of them made suggestions - trout, flank steak potatoes and a cheese board to name a few, will try and save room for dessert next time. BARCELONA checked all the boxes with five stars setting, food, wine and service all at a price that will not empty your wallet.

You are about to experience one of the best meals of your life! I would make a suggestion on which item to order first but they are ALL delightful. However, three of the items on the menu found me selfish in wanting more...Benedict Serrano, Romao & Paella Mariscos. Allow yourself to explore all the items on the menu in different visits as you will find yourself returning sooner than you think but close your eyes and enjoy, as your senses are about to be heightened on your very first bite!

Menu is rather unclear, food is carefully prepared and interesting although the price is a little high for the quantity. The wait staff is very helpful and friendly though and will answer any questions (you’ll likely have a lot). There are many choices, great atmosphere, and overall it’s a wonderful, light meal.

We've been to Barcelona a few times and it never disappoints. The food quality is always great and they have a wide selection of small plates. While it's not a true tapas place like you'd get in Spain the atmosphere is close. The wine selection is vast with many great choices. Desert is very good and as an added bonus they serve La Colombe coffee, an east coast roaster, which is possibly my favorite roaster. Great to see a restaurant handle all courses of the menu in a dedicated manner.

Beautiful brunch spot! I sat outside with a group of girls on a Saturday morning at 11am. The outdoor seating was well shaded and empty when we arrived. We asked to be moved to a larger table, to fit all our tapas & sangria glasses. The menu offered plenty of fun tapas, something for everyone. We ordered a bunch to share. My favorite was the chicken & churros the cinnamon sugar + syrup combination with crispy chicken was truly delicious. My second favorite was the jamon and manchego croquettes, they were surprisingly light and flavorful. The sangria was sweet and filled with fruit, I enjoyed it. They also offered a self-serve mimosa bar with fun accompaniments.
