Today, my mom was on her last day of a vacation. This is significant because my mother doesn't get to take vacations. You know why? Because she works HARD. She works EVERY DAY and almost every waking MOMENT of that day. That's what the self-employed do - or atleast, the successful ones. You can't be lazy and stay in business. Or maybe you can because you're, unfortunately, still in business after the way you treated her today. You such terrible wine snobs that you can't get your heads out of your butt for five seconds to take some money - the money that she had in her hand, waiting on you to taste test your wines? Or were the two bottles of wine that she had in her hands, picked out to purchase, not enough of a purchase for you to care to even SPEAK to her - ALTHOUGH you didn't bother to let her even sample them? Was her money not good enough for you or do you sniff at a t-shirt and jeans? You have a dress code or something? Well, we're sorry for failing to read the pretentious douchebag handbook; we didn't realize that it was a requirement to enter your establishment. We visit Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Lynchburg often and have attended numerous tastings there. Commercial as all three towns are, the CUSTOMER SERVICE is not lacking, even though you'd expect it to be since it's a tourist destination. Hampshire is the middle of nowhere. You'd think a business a la BFE would know how to treat folks since it's not like people are flocking to Hampshire because of its beautiful views or gorgeous beaches. Consumers: If you want a hometown experience, hit up Lynchburg Winery or Sugarland Cellars. The blueberry from Lynchburg is superb and the Greenbrier from Sugarland is absolutely delicious. I actually got to both sample those AND take them home.
