A great spot we found on a weekend vacation. The wine tasting was wonderful, we bought two bottles of the "Game Changer" and the scenery makes it even better. We brought our 2 yr old and he was able to play in the creek. They are very kid friendly (which I LOVE). Loved this place

New owner has a new strategy for making Abingdon Vineyards a pleasant interlude, and a source for palate pleasing compliments for your cuisine. Blending locally produced wines will generate consistently delicious treats for paring with an array of fine cheese, and complimentary fruit. Convenient to the Virginia Creeper Trail!

After visiting several hundred wineries in Virginia and North Carolina, Abingdon is still my top choice. Picture perfect location along the river, a large selection of really excellent wines, and friendly service every single visit.

LOVED this winery nestled in the woods/country side of Abingdon! They are focusing on 9 essential wines currently. You do have to pay for tastings but 4 tastings is $5 and I believe a full tasting is $10. Bottles range from $15-20 (normal). Very informative about the history of the winery, we found out it has been there for 25 years and just recently took new ownership. You can take a picnic and buy a bottle of wine, and simply walk around the side of the building to see the vineyard and grapes. It's a little off the highway but totally worth it! This is definitely a permanent stop on my road trips!

This is one of our favorite spots to stop when traveling along I-81. The wines are great and the setting is beautiful. We're seriously considering joining their wine club since it's only 2.5 hours from our home.

A wonderful vineyard with incredible wines. The staff is awesome and the owners make you feel like family. If you are looking for a relaxing day I would recommend sitting by the creek and enjoy a nice bottle or 2. Highly recommend.

Least favorite winery. Went 3 pm on Sunday for wine tasting. 2 customers at wine bar. 2-3 servers behind bar. Did not even acknowledge our presence for 10 minutes. Would not even look at us, nod, or anything. Finally, when served, was told that there was a $5 cover per person for band and no wine tasting during band. Wine tasting menu was most expensive I have been to in E Tennessee, W North Carolina, etc. Done with this one.

Stopped by this quaint family owned winery and now has become my new favorite spot. Loren and his wife Elizabeth are terrifft hosts and third two dogs and baby girl make this place were friends can just hangout and have fun. I left with the feeling my wife and met two new friends. Loren and Elizabeth, thanks for a great afternoon, oh and Papa Tom's was amazing, thanks for the recommendation! Len and Misha

Friendly staff, beautiful vineyard, wine lacking depth of flavor, but not uncommon to area for dry reds.

Really neat winery now owned by the coolest couple from California, Elizabeth and Loran. They’ve made tremendous improvements! Today they’re getting ready for a 4th of July party with live music and cookout. Expecting 500 of their closest friends and wine enthusiasts! Unfortunately we can’t stay but are bringing back some of their luscious reds and sassy chards. #winesnob #livingthedream

This place was beautiful and such a wonderful atmosphere. Me and the wife had a nice lunch then headed over to here for sampling local wines. We had been here years ago before the new owners and weren't impressed. Katie was immediately welcoming, and all around wonderful at her job. Knowledgeable with the wines and great with everybody at the table. We did a tasting, had a couple glasses on their beautiful property then took a couple bottles home. We will be back very soon, and love the family friendly feel since we have 2 little boys. Thanks for a great visit!

Disappointed as we arrived at 5:35pm and was turned away from a tasting, even though it says they close at 6pm.

Kevin is very knowledgeable about his wines. Welcoming every guest. Treats you with such down to earth attitude. He listened to what we like and don't like in wines. Instead of just pouring whatever he wanted too. The creek was our second favorite thing about this location. We will be back.

My favorite winery even after being to Sanoma twice, Napa once and To the central valley once. Wines are great, the staff is friendly, and the scenery is beautiful! You can't beat a glass of wine by the river after biking down from White Top mountain.
