I attended a "Sangria Sunday." It was my first time there and my friends and I did a wine tasting as well. We had so much fun! The live music was lovely. My favorite was the Prairie Storm wine and the red sangria. I look forward to bringing more friends to this winery!

Went to the sangria Sunday event, which does involve a $10 parking fee to pay the band, but it was a wonderful relaxing afternoon with chickens and cats walking through the yard. Sangria for two was 12 and change and wine tasting was 6 per person. Not cheap but a great event, only wish there would have been enough staff for a tour.

I was a little skeptical of the five star reviews, but the five star reviews are solid! I would highly recommend making this stop on part of your journey. A delightful family run experience, open lawn lined with bright Adirondack chairs, great wine selection, good company and conversation. And if you make the stop in the summer, definitely try the Blackberry slushy, it's exactly what it sounds like.

For anyone who says there's nothing to do in the Sioux Falls area, head out to Strawbale. There's plenty of comfortable outdoor seating where you can relax and feed the chickens while you enjoy a nice glass of wine.

Susie and Don are the best! We love visiting the winery. They maintain it beautifully, there are tons of chairs, picnic tables, pop up tents, drinks stations, food vendors (on special nights), Etc. If you are looking for a great night out with family and friends...and even kids, Strawbale is the place! Check out their website and Facebook page for details on special events and occasions.

What an amazing place to visit! Don gave us a personal tour of how he makes the wines. So cool. Roosters and chickens are running wild on the property that you can feed. The wines are made from some unique varietals of grapes. This is a must visit if in South Dakota! Very personal and cool experience! Five stars

Wonderful atmosphere. Peaceful and relaxing. Nice wine selection as well, ranging from standard to unique (cranberry jalepeno). I highly recommend visiting at least once. You'll find yourself going back again and again!
