Bartender service was horrific. Beer was good. But probably will not return because of the service. We were barely noticed by any of the bar tenders throughout our entire experience.
Love this place. Friendly, well knowledgeable staff and the beers, Awesome!!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful beer!
Great atmosphere, great beer! Best porter I’ve had!
I was in the area and had heard about this place previously so knew I had to stop by. They had quite a few beers on tap when I was there and do offer flights. I was driving a long haul so could only try a few. The Belgian Dubbel was my favorite! One thing I noticed at this place is that they put the date of the last line cleaning on the tap list. Super cool and let's you know you're drinking from clean lines! This place is absolutely worth stopping by if you're in the area!
Great seasonal variety!
Good beer, nice layout, games, fireplace. Good place to hang out
The beer is amazing. The staff is very friendly. The miner theme is fun, and different from everywhere else. If you're in the area it is a must stop.
Great atmosphere for a beautiful day. White IPA was very good.
Good beer
15 beers on tap, 6 of those didn't have added flavor (blueberry, chamomile, orange, etc). One of those was a sour. If flavoring in your beers is your bag, then definitely stop by. They have a nice atmosphere, rustic, a nice indoor area, outdoor area, and covered outdoor area. Sorry but flavored beers aren't my thing. That being said, it's different than most of the rest of the local breweries.
Stopped in for a bite, they don't really have any food.. But god bless them for amazing beers
Awesome beers great knowable staff. Will be a must visit next time I'm in town.
Good beer and an overall fun place to visit.
The beer is excellent. You can purchase a flight, but unfortunately it is pre-determined selection from the brewery. However, it was still excellent and a neat place. We also purchased a pizza, which was delicious!
yum, duft and $11 flights
Love the samplers and choices of beer
Wow, fresh brewed beer. What else can you say. If you are in the Black Hills and want a better beer than even Colorado can brew, this is for you. Fun people, beautiful sites, it is sure to please...relax and have a fresh brew.
Miner is one of my favorite spots in the hills! Love the atmosphere just as much as the brews. Their seasonal beers are some of my favorites. Always worth getting a flight to try them all.
Stopped by after wandering around all day. Some good people serving great beer. They've got a hefty cider and some good IPAs. Try their specialty beers (blue IPA) and the dank little pies. Definitely worth a stop.
Got their current flight, and pretty good all around. Most beers were not very hoppy, which seems unusual these days. Honey lager and orange ginger APA were particularly good.
Very nice lot's of good wine
Awesome brews great variety for all tastes.
Always great beer and atmosphere! Andrea rocks at Miners
Really good beer and very friendly service, good food too. The lead was exceptional, my wife's stout was maybe 3/5 but most of what we had in a flight was really good. Great atmosphere.
Super friendly, good food, great beer. West River Pale Ale was perfectly balanced.
Quite a few beers to choose from. I had the IPA which was good, not overpowering. Nice patio area to sit with family and friends to enjoy the afternoon.
I can't say enough about how much fun we had here... great atmosphere and beer...
Good beer. Limited (good) menu. Cool space. Really enjoyed our stop.
Always look forward to stopping in to Miner Brewing when I am in the Black Hills every year and I always bring a few growlers back home to Colorado. Incredible beers! All beers I tried on my last trip earlier this month were truly exceptional. Dr. Valentine (red IPA) is a beautiful thing.
Fathers Day brunch was a great way to experience this brewery. The food was excellent, staff was very friendly and the Schneider Cider was very refreshing! Definitely a place to stop at while out in the Black Hills!
Their mango cream ale is SO good. My husband also loved their IPA’s. Great selection of beer, and the staff was very friendly. We also got a 1/2 size buffalo chicken pizza to share, and it was delicious! I really like the focaccia bread. Overall, this is a fantastic brewery. Definitely worth a visit.
Good selection of beers and a cool atmosphere. The one down side is they predetermined the beers that come in your flight, didn't really understand that.
If you want to go to a brewery where you don't get severed then this is your place! After 10 min of two different bartenders ignoring us while sitting at the bar we left. THERE'S A GOOD BREWERY JUST 2 MIN AWAY
Best brewery in hill city. Nice atmosphere. Decent beer selection. Beer is as expected for a small south Dakota tourist town. A necessary stop on the beer tour of the black hills.
This place is awesome. Great for families. They source their food from the winery next door. Lots of unique beer options and great food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking and free wifi.
Great beer and nice atmosphere!
Dog friendly! Really good beer and the staff was very friendly.
Awesome staff and atmosphere. I could spend all afternoon playing cornhole and drinking the best beer in the area!
Music night was INCREDIBLE!!!! So good, so fun... Beer was just as good & great staff.
Excellent service great beer couldn't be happier
Rustic, cottage feel. Fantastic beer. Great place anytime of the year.
Beautiful building and great beer with kind service. Must stop.
Not overly impressed. The entrance is pretty cramped and crowded. Since my wife and I hadnt visited this "local for us" brewery it took a few minutes to decide. I didnt feel comfortable asking questions about the beers available because of the off-put feeling from the bartender. I chose a pint of Wheat and my wife chose the Pink Grapefruit. Both were fair, not impressive and didnt tast much different than that of a Boulevard or New Belgium. We probably wont return here, unless to maybe try the food, but we will continue to visit the winery where we can at least see happy employees.
Love this place and love the guy who helped us!!! Totally worth the trip.
I really enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere here. There are plenty of areas to relax and hangout both inside and out. I'd definitely come back.
Great brewery! Their Peach Kuchen IPA alone is worth coming back for. They offer crowlers, which is great for out-of-town visitors. Their outdoor area has frisbee golf, bean bag toss and hammocks for a hot day.
I went here in the middle of the week to grab a local beer while on a road trip with my girlfriend. We were attracted here because the head brew master was a woman, something that is not very common, so we were excited to see if that brought a different point of view. We did ordered a flight of 6 beers, that were their staples, then one additional apple IPA sour. 6 out of the 7 beers we enjoyed, but the apple IPA sour blew us both out of the water. It was one of the best and unique beer I have had. It was sweet, but had a great balance of bitter at the end. The atmosphere was great and inviting. The only thing I think they need to improve on is there food menu, but I trust that will come with time.
We loved this brewery!!! As soon as we walked in we felt at home and welcome!! Beer was great, service and atmosphere awesome!! I highly recommend!
Delicious brewery with many great craft beer options. A really good time!
They make a very decent pale ale
Fun place to meet up with friends.
Great place to have beer. It's always interesting to see what the brewmaster comes up with. The chokecherry is awesome.
By far the best brewery in the hills
Fair
We spent part of a beautiful afternoon here on July 4, 2018. The staff was very helpful and willing to describe the various beers to us. We ended up ordering a customized sampler tray of six of their beers and enjoyed them outside on the patio. We loved all of the beers and hated to have to leave!
I am a tourist with pockets full of money looking for a brewery to brag about to my beer friends. Bitchy bartenders. Bad service. Close the doors if you dont want to talk to people about beer. I wasnt asking intricate questions. "Whats new", " whats the most liked". After that, she was so annoyed that I was curious about their beer that she made such a bitchy face. I was done there and just asked for a flight Hows the beer? Mediocre at best. One tier above the bud, miller, coors realm. Went next door to the winery, bought $100 worth of wine. Super friendly, happy to see me walk in. Don't waste your time at this rude brewery.
Great variety of craft beer and excellent staff.
Good beer selection. Casual place.
Fantastic atmosphere and drinks! They even have root beer for the kids!
Outstanding beer and fantastic people. I recommend the campfire cocoa with a toasted marshmallow. Mmmm. Standing ovation to brew master Sandi.
Definitely the best beer in the area. A good selection of several tasty and interesting beers you won't find anywhere else. The tap room is spacious and beautiful. We will be back on the next trip!
Nice place with very friendly staff. The beer is good but nothing jumped out to me as being a special beer. Don't get me wrong though if you are in the area and like beer you have to stop in.
I really enjoy making the trip out to Hill City to visit Miner. Their beer list is always changing, but that's all thanks to their ingenious brewmaster. If you're out in the Black Hills, make sure to stop by!
Great casual and relaxing atmosphere, helpful staff and great music.
Great beer and always our second stop after Prairie Berry!
The beer and ciders are awesome!
Excellent beers plus some smaller food items from the winery next door.
Great live music, good games (outdoor and indoor), finely crafted brews, and some food from Prairie Berry! The helpful and friendly service along with a nice atmosphere equals a chill experience!
We had a very enjoyable evening out, trying a half dozen different beers and ciders. Great food and great atmosphere, great drinks. Really highly recommended for a Black Hills visit.
Nice place. Tasty beer
Great
Very friendly staff with well designed and clean facilities! Their menu was interesting and every beer we tried was tasty. We had a flight of 6 beers and then purchased three of the beers in the 32 ounce can that they offer. They poured the cans and sealed them in front of us with a nifty machine. Looking forward to sharing the cans with family when we get back from our trip. Highly recommend!
Great Place...Really nice people and the beer was great!
Beer and people are great
Great spot in the Hills. A beer for all tastes and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Stopped by on a whim- we happened to be driving by and swung in. I'm so glad we did! Super friendly staff, great beer, good atmosphere. Get a flight!
Good beers. No food. They need to offer six packs or liter bottles
So very good. Craft beer in the middle of the mountains outside of the Black Hills.
Not Impressed. We stopped in here for a beer and lunch with our two teenage boys based on the other reviews (outside games, family friendly, etc). For the sake of clarity I will break this review into four sections - food, atmosphere, …
I just went to Miner Brewing Company and got a flight of beers. All of them but one were borderline undrinkable. They were flat and tasted like beer you leave out for too long. If you want to go to a good brewery in the area go to Lost Cabin in Rapid City.
Great place, excellent beer and very family friendly! We stopped here multiple times during the week we were in the Black Hills. The patio and lawn are great places to hang out on nice days. Kids loved all the games and corn hole! Summer Fruit Salad Sour Ale was wonderful!
Great Brewery. Just lovely the staff. I had the Munich Helles which wasnt to bitter.
A cute place to stop for a beer. Good brew selection and we liked most of what we tried. Small food selection, 3 sandwiches and 2 pizzas. We had the corned beef sandwich which was really good but very overpriced at $13 for a sandwich alone with no sides.
Always stop in for post hike beers. Good to great beer. Great atmosphere. Great patio/lawn area with games. Family friendly. They have frequent events, such as their music series. Today they had bingo fundraiser for the local volunteer fire department.
Great little brewpub to enjoy while motorcycling thru Hill City.
Bartenders were not ruse but did not pay attention to us the winery is top notch next door but the brewery did have some good beers
Good beer! Fun place to hangout.
I really enjoy this place not only for it's decent selection of various styles of beers but it's size as well. The new patio and open grass area is great to sit and enjoy on a nice day. The games also add some fun when with family or friends. The occasional concert also adds for a great time. The selection of beers on tap are usually pretty varied so not finding something you like is kind of hard. Of course you can go for a flight or make your own flight if there are any that don't interest you for a small extra fee. The pricing isn't bad and like many other breweries it's difficult not to make friends with everyone around you. The staff are helpful. There is also a select food menu you can order from that will be brought down from the winery. An overall nice place that I recommend people go check out.
Best brewery in the Black Hills. Membership has many events and discounts that make it definitely worth the price.
Decent beer in a pleasant setting with excellent service. Looks like a good live music venue, too, or they have outdoor seating.
Great brewery! Laid back environment.
Saw some poor reviews about service, but Jerry and Olivia were friendly and knowledgeable. Just like any brewery, there are beers that I like and dislike. Found quite a few that I liked, especially Dr. Valentine Imperial Red IPA.
Excellent tasting beer great they had wine selections from next door Prairieberry Winery as well for the wife. Very friendly staff very accommodating too .Also dog friendly on the patio too!!
Truely fantastic beer! Flavors all held together, even on the more experimental beers, and their standard lineup is excellent too. Pleasant taproom, good build your own flight.
Not one of our better stops on our cross-country quest for beer (Fall 2017), but still glad we stopped to say howdy. Beer was mostly just ok, people working there seemed very busy.
