I was visiting SD with family and came here to check out the local brewery scene. Or as it turns out, lack thereof. First, let's start with the brews. Simplistic, uninspired, and frankly homebrew quality. They have a "lager" that is really a mislabeled sour, and not much of a sour at that. Bland and off-putting. My wife had a "wine" that tasted like another failed homebrew attempt. Something along the lines of grape juice that didn't quite ferment right, so they added grain alcohol, and then water to bring down the alcohol content. Nasty stuff. Next, the only high point (if you can call it that). The food. Basic pub fare, but not bad. Finally, I have to mention the layout at SmokeJumper. First, there is no indoor-outdoor flow whatsoever, and their outdoor space is pathetic. Second, the interior is bare and dreary. Third, the kitchen is PAST the dining, PAST the gift shop, and AROUND the bathrooms on the very far end of the building. Who the hell thought this was a good decision for anyone involved? It takes waiters a good three minutes round trip just to pick up food. As a patron waiting for food, it looks like the waiters are going to the bathroom to get your order. Weird and wrong all around.

Service Extremely Poor... we at least stayed and paid for our meal that took well over an hour..the burger was way over done.

Pretty impressive! Thoughtful cheese plate of high quality cheeses with nice accompaniments like honey and apricots. GREAT service. Warm enough on a cold day, cool music at just right decibels. Really pleasant spot to meet a friend. Thanks to the friendly staff!

Nice atmosphere and good location. Unfortunately the beer was flat but had good flavor. Food menu is limited and consist of things you can cook in a Crock-Pot to be served all day.

Wow, was it a mistake to stop here. There is a very limited menu, uncomfortable chairs, and the staff was less than professional. Feels like all their advertising is just to lure you in to buy their branded alcohol. Not family friendly, not a place to stop for food. We ended up going elsewhere.
