We are from North Carolina and muscadine wine is my favorite so I love Duplin's wines. This Myrtle Beach location is really well done. Beautiful building, easy parking, nice indoor and outdoor seating.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The tasting experiance was awesome, we had a great time learning about the history of Duplin Winery and about every individual wine we tested. Our guy doing the tasting was both funny and very informative and spoke nice and clear so we heard everything he was saying. The wine tended to be a little more on the sweet side than I like, i'm more into dry to semi-sweet but they're still tasty. If you love sweet wines, this is your place for sure. The gift section is awesome, lots of cool gift ideas for any occasion. I heard this was rated #1 in SC and it Definitley lived up to the hype. If you are looking for a cool laid back time and some good wines, go here. You"ll love it

The service that Duplin provides is great. The price for a wine tasting is great for a person traveling on a budget. They also have a non-alcoholic tasting, though they don't advertise it. Their wine is inexpensive, which makes it the perfect souvenir to take home. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and fun. It's really worth the trip.

We were a little skeptical about visiting this winery when we walked in the door. It was "overly commercial", but in the end we had a very pleasant tasting and very much enjoyed the music. I would have enjoyed a flexible tasting menu as opposed to the fixed menu. I think it is probably geared to locals that come often, but we were just visiting. Still had a good time.

It was really busy so it took like 45 mins to get a table & I was charged twice for one ticket but my money was refunded. The people were very friendly. Our hostess for the tasting was very energetic and personable. Definitely try the frozen drinks they’re great. You also get a free glass of your favorite wine and a wine glass to take home with the deluxe. Delicious variety of wines. Great experience would definitely recommend to everyone!

My fiancé and I really enjoyed this place! The winery is in a HUGE gift store with a variety of products from different cooking sauces and food products, to home decor. Very adorable inside and kept us entertained while we waited for the tasting. The tasting itself was pretty good. Mary Kay was in charge of our tasting and I found her to be fun, knowledgeable, and very friendly! She kept the good vibes going. The wine itself is very sweet. Their wines are all made with a particular grape, specific to that area. This grape is sweeter than others. The majority of wines were 10% alcohol and 11% sugar. So if you don’t fancy sweet wines, this is not the place for you! After the tasting, we moved to the back outdoor patio where they had an outside bar and a live band. It was a lot of fun! And the wines were very reasonably priced as well! I could easily see myself spending a whole day here. I would have given this place 5 stars if they had a little more variety to their wines (instead of just sweet).

Made our first visit here recently, and I'd definitely recommend it! I've never been to a wine tasting before, and I was so excited! The host was very friendly and knowledgeable and did great with describing the wines, and explaining the history of Duplin! Super reasonable price for a great experience! The store front was cool too with lots of great Duplin gear! For sure adding this place to our list of must-do's at the beach!

Being from California, we were skeptical on how the sweet wines would taste compared to what we are used to back home. We were pleasantly surprised! Staff is super friendly. We signed up for the 10 tastings - you get your tastings, cheese and crackers and your choice of wine afterwards. Kim was such a good sport with us. We kept referring to the smell of the wine - but she kept us laughing. She definitely knows her product, she deserves a raise! Thanks Duplin for a great time.

Really disappointing. They had no dry wines. The driest they offered was what we would call semi dry semi sweet white wine. It was drinkable. There were no dry reds. We poured most of our samples out after a sip and we were entitled to a whole glass of wine afterwards...there was nothing. We both tried what they called dry and after a few sips poured them too. Most vineyards have both oaked and stainless steel aged wines. We love oaked reds, and stainless white. Turns out they dont believe in aging in oak. When you do a tasting it is generally a mix. Had they TOLD us it was only sweets we would not have wasted our time or money. UNLESS YOU LOVE sweet wines, best to pass. There are other places that have both dry and sweet.

Very beautiful building with fun, inexpensive wine tastings, multiple bar areas & unique items to purchase. Lots of tables & chairs outside with live music & wine bar. I think it would be helpful if the bars were not cash only. Also, there should be a few more food choices available besides cheese & crackers or fudge.

Visiting Duplin was one of the highlights of my vacation. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. I to went the wine tasting twice! My parents and I purchased a case of wine plus a few extra bottles and my cousins bought two cases. This is a great winery if you like sweet wine. It is worth the $10 for the deluxe wine tasting!

This establishment is poorly run and definitely has a lack of communication throughout the hierarchy of employees. I called the North Myrtle Beach tasting room at 11:10 Black Friday and asked for a tasting reservation for 4:00 for myself and my large adult family of 8 for that day. The lady took my name and number; she then said that she would call me if any issues came up. She specified this reservation was for the SC location and not the NC location. Upon arrival at the tasting room, the tasting room receptionist apologized and essentially called me a liar as per her policy they do not currently take reservations. The wait was an hour long. My husband witnessed my conversation with the Duplin employee that morning on Bluetooth. I will never recommend this winery to anyone. Even if their policy is no reservations, then they should train employees to know as such. Let me reiterate, Poor management and lack of communication prevail here.

We came here for a tasting while visiting Myrtle Beach and will definitely be back! It was $10 and we got to try 12 different wines (including 3 Christmas and 1 Halloween), a sample of their dip, a glass of wine of our choice after the tasting, and the glass. The wines were all fantastic, it was hard to choose which I wanted for my glass at the end. I normally like sweeter wines, but the dry selection we tried were so flavorful, I loved them too. All the staff were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable and fun. It's refreshing to see people truely enjoy what they're doing. There's a lot of of seating on the porches outside plus live music. You can come in or a glass of wine without doing the tasting, from the bar outside. It's a great place to sit back, relax, and enjoy some good wine!

If you are looking for sweet wines, this winery is for you. Was looking for a nice tasting room experience, with unique wines and didn't get it. I participated in a 5 dollar tasting for 10 samples and I got to keep the glass. The wine was all pre selected, and the woman bartender was more about giving a sales pitch than serving wine. The experience was stale and the wine wasn't what I expected. I even got scolded for observing my wine before the server told me to! I don't want to listen to a five minute speech before I try my wine! Over all, I disliked my experience. If you like a small town calm experience, do not visit. It was too corporate feeling and seemed all about making money.

All The Kids Are Right

Loved being a member here. Used to be unlimited tastings and a free glass. Now they changed it so you only get 12 tastings a quarter and have to bring a stupid coupon with you. I toss the book that comes in my wine every quarter. I feel they should have emailed at the least to tell of the policy change. Not cool Duplin. Edit: Duplin sent an email out today reversing this policy. I’m very happy with Duplin and will continue to be a member. Thanks for listening!!!

Great place to visit if you are in the area and are a wine lover. We drove into north Myrtle specifically for this visit, and it didn’t disappoint. Some other reviews have mentioned something I would agree with, and that’s the fact that this winery has a bent towards sweeter wine, which should be obvious because of the grapes involved, but just be advised that we only tasted one wine classified as dry, most are sweet or semi sweet. The tasting is very informative, and they take plenty of time to go through everything along the way. Even though I’m not generally a wine drinker, I think any wine lover would enjoy the atmosphere, and the people, all of which were very helpful.

A 10 minute wait became 65 minutes. The buzzer never light up. Went to the desk twice and got a speech on " they will find us, we won't let you miss your seating". Finally showed them the time stamp on the receipt , and asked for a refund. They didn't have an explanation.

My wife and Absolutely enjoyed this place. I actually found a new favorite wine or 2 or 3. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wine tasting price was great. Cant say enough about it. I'm a black American, this was my first wine tasting and my first trip South Carolina. The staff was polite and friendly. I was not sure of what to expect in south Carolina but I will be going back and will definitely do the wine tasting again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

KT is an amazing host and the best we have ever had there.

The wine tasting is a bargain and a really nice experience. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. For me, someone who prefers dry wines, the wines were too sweet. There were a few that I enjoyed but I really didn't care for a lot of them. If you enjoy sweet wine, you would probably give this five stars.

Duplin has done a nice job putting together a well laid out wine tasting and buying experience. The wine tasting is well run along with good information about the Wines being dispensed by your "wine tender". There's a $5 flight or a $10 flight. You get to taste about 10 different wines with complimentary crackers. The $10 flight has a few extras like an added cheese spread and a full glass of the wine you liked best of the ones tasted at the end. You get to keep your wine glass at the end. The tasting takes about 25 minutes and then you can buy some wine and wine related items in their nicely laid out store. There's a fudge bar selling chunks of fudge too. Personal favorites were the flavored wine slushies.

We visited the N. Myrtle Beach SC location and it was beautiful. Our Wine Tasting bartender Connie is so good and knowledge she made it a very memorable visit. I encourage everyone to visit either the main Duplin Winery in Rock Hill, NC or if you are visiting Myrtle Beach SC don't forget to schedule a visit to their N. Myrtle Beach location you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful!! We did the wine tasting tour offered by our hotel The Strand in Myrtle Beach SC. Well worth the $10 each and our guide was Rich who was very knowledgeable and funny. Definitely would do again!!

It's fun people are very nice the tastings we're fun. But it is very sweet wine only a couple of dry wine's. They do have a large selection to choose from. We have been a couple of times and do plan on going again.

Revised review: thank you to the owner for clarifying that dogs ARE allowed on the patio. We will be coming to spend time at the winery next time we are at the beach. We would appreciate it if you make the rules about pets clear to all the staff. We were turned away on our last visit. Thank you!
