Shares the grounds with the Firefly Distillery, but neither have tours. Employees are very friendly and enjoyed the tasting. There was a 20 min wait around midday.

Absolutely the best experiences I have ever had in my life. My sister and I visited Charleston, S.C. and this was one of the tours we decided to take. Our driver, John, picked us up from our hotel, King Charles Inn, and drove us to the Vineyard. John (driver) and the Deep Water Vineyard staff were so nice and friendly. Everyone worked together to make sure that we had the best experience. I love this place. I love Charleston!

Wine is super sweet made with local muscadine grapes. The grape juice was good. Each tasting was barely a tablespoon and it was difficult to get a real taste with the amount. Not enough wine to even swish the wine in your mouth.Firefly had 3 tasting bars. Two were reserved while the line for the rest of the crowd was long. Never got to taste. The grounds were fun for the kids and they enjoyed feedingvthe goats and watching the chickens.

Daniel Duncan

The atmosphere here was amazing! Extremely family friendly. The wife, kids, and I all had a great time!

Catherina Harding

My husband an I enjoyed ourselves ate the vineyard. We went to see the grape stomping. We also did win testing. We definitely enjoyed ourselves

We had a wonderful time at Deep Water Vineyard and Firefly Distillery as part of my bachelorette weekend! We showed up on Saturday around 11:00 and purchased tickets for both tastings. Both tastings were wonderful and we ended up buying bottles from both the winery and distillery! We didn’t experience any long waits and our whole party had a great time (even my pregnant bridesmaid who can’t drink!). The property is beautiful, the wine and liquor were fantastic, and the mini Brahman is adorable. If you’re considering a trip out to Deep Water, it’s absolutely worth it!

Very unique style of wine to try, friendly service and stories, and animals to visit with.

This place is amazing. They offer a free self guided tour of their facilities. They have animals for the kids and you can feed them. They also have a gift shop and your choice of wine or alcohol tasting (at FireFly distillery; next door). The wine tasting experience was great and they even got our kids involved by letting them try their alcohol free grape juices. I will highly recommend this place!

Judith Clune

It's fun, everyone there is super nice and the Firefly distillery is right next door,

Monica Haddox

Great wine, beautiful property. You need a couple of hours to enjoy this place.

Tom Hertler

Very fun place to visit

Nate Ruth

Not really a muscidine wine fan. The people were nice enough and the sweet caroline wine was good.

Jill Pratt

This is a great place to check out. It is co-located with Firefly Distillery. We did the wine tasting & the liquor tasting. Both were great experiences. The tasting rooms are spacious & the staff is very knowledgeable & friendly. You can walk around the grounds & take pics of the animals & vineyards. There is usually live music & a featured food truck that changes daily. We took our time, ordered from the food truck & did the tastings and I think we were there about 2.5hrs. Plenty of parking. Nice little gift shop & of course, wine & liquor to purchase.

Muffi Brinson

Awesome place. You should definitely go if have never been.

Family friendly atmosphere. Great Muscadine wine. We arrived an hour before close and made it for the last tasting. Everything was rushed and closed down before 5pm.

Clifton McCallum

I went on Saturday for the live music and food trucks: both were amazing! The wine servers are knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and community oriented. I'll be returning for more of the same this Saturday.

Barbara Hornak

This was amazing!!! This is the third wine tasting I’ve been to and was by far the best one I have been to!!! I like most of the wine they had to offer. The host was amazing and she took her time and explained and described the wine! She even suggested dishes and types of food which one would pair well with!!! I look forward to going back in December to try another seasonal wine they will be offering!!!

Kaydy Miller

This place is way out in the boonies but it is worth it! It has a little gift shop that is full of little trinkets. For $7 dollars we tasted six or 7 wines and got to keep our glass. You can also taste Firefly's whiskeys, rums and vodkas next door for $6 and keep the shot glass. Walk the vineyards and see their livestock!

Rick Cote

Not very organized. Ladies wedding party was very loud and unruly. We had been in line for wine tasting 10 minutes before they entered and told us the line starts behind them. While waiting we had picked up a couple of items to purchase. While waiting for the cashier to return, several ladies approached the cashier stand from the opposite end. Upon return of the cashier, they handled the ladies that had come in after us. Never going there again.

Karen Spalviero

Several of us took a day trip out there and it was wonderful!

Jennifer Prevatte

I love going to Deep Water & Firefly, I bring all my guest here. I was very disappointed that you don’t get to try all the wines, now you have to pick one or the other to try. The portion now is like a drop or two, just really not how it used to be. I think that really brought down the tasting room.

Jeff Sullivan

Did a tasting and bought some wine. Great little place for a variety of wine. Easy to fine. Same location as the distillery. Friendly staff to help with the tasting.

Pablo Gonzalez

Lovely vineyard. We did the wine taste and tour. Fantastic staff and quite place to walk in.

Great place to go for a few hours....

Debra Campbell

My friends and I loved the wine tasting! We loved walking through the vineyard and petting Ida Claire. The chickens were adoreable too. And we saw several bachelorette groups there too--what a fun idea!!

Amanda Geil

Conveniently located next to the distillary. You can walk around the vineyard. There's an adorable little cow in the vineyard. Nice atmosphere, dog friendly outside

Not our first time, and what a great venue! This is the second time we've been to their Cork Shucking Festival and it definitely didn't disappoint. Wine tastings from the vineyard and vodka tastings from Firefly Distillery. Food trucks and vendors. Buckets of oyster from Bohemian Bull. Live music. Dog friendly. If you're not here, you're missing out!

Robyn Bywaters

This place is out of this world love to go do the tastings

My two friends and I had a lovely afternoon here. Paid $11 for wine and distillery tasting, and you get to keep the wine and shot glass you use for the tasting. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Worth the drive.

Anastasia Ward

What a wonderful tasting and so fun! John and Wendy were amazing and did a wonderful job!

Kevin Tinsley

Nice place to walk around and you don't like your rushed around to get next group in. Staff was very helpful and the wine was extremely good.

Cynthia Place

My husband and I were visiting the area from Jersey. We enjoy tasting local wines when we travel so stopped at Deep Water. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. We purchased a few bottles based on a tasting. When we opened one of the bottles a few days later, the wine was nothing like what we tasted at the vineyard...seemed sour. I contacted the owner by email and he answered right away, was super aplogetic and shipped us a new bottle of wine. That goes a long way in my book. I recommend this place as it is quaint, the wines are good (different due to the local grapes, so keep that in mind and give it a chance), and the gift shop has a nice selection of uniquie items.

Ginny

Super fun and delightful experience. Actually went back twice in one week. First time was with friends second time was because I had family visiting. Enjoyed both experiences greatly. Loved having Tiffany and Kelly for the wine tasting. Both offered unique experiences and stories while providing information and history about the wine and grapes.

Festival was good, frozen wine drinks were great, Dallas Baker Band was great, grape stompin was okay cuz we couldn't see it due to people sitting or standing right in front of wine barrels. Wish Lucille Ball contest was done at noon instead of the end of the day. Loved the Greek truck that had not beem there before! Thank you Deep Water Vineyards!!!

Lura O'Phelan

Worth the beautiful drive out from Charleston! The tastings are informative and tasty! Enjoyed sipping our frozen peach bellinis in the courtyard. Overall a pleasant, relaxing afternoon getaway!

Samantha McCosley

Best wine I’ve had!

Samantha Gampel

Definitely worth the drive from Charleston to walk the oak-laden grounds and stroll through the vineyards. Deep Water offers two separate tours: one for their various wines and one for their liquors and moonshine at around $6 per tour. Check for live music dates during the summer months. They also have a gift shop.

William Largin

Absolutely great time!!!

Mary Lou Moramarco

Hoping to get back here for the good old wholesome low country hospitality we enjoyed when it was the Irvine Winery. Great place to spend a few laid back hours whether a tourist or local.

Lyz A.

One of the best wine tastings I’ve been! I freaking loved our host/pourer! She was fantastic and entertaining! The assortment of wines was wonderful as well! And so glad they have yummy popcorn to go along with! This was a great visit & I already can’t wait to return!

Loved the property. Careful driving on the driveway, it's narrow and the fence is very sharp and can scratch your car. It's dog friendly so bring your pups!

Best muscadine wine in the country. This wine isn't overly sweet but still carries the perfect flavor of muscadines. The vineyard is beautiful and their weekend Wine Downs are a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Live music, food trucks and wine tasting with great hosts. Firefly Vodka is currently on the same property.

Take your time out here ...plan to spend the afternoon. They also have lots of events throughout the year. You can wine taste their brand at the winery and browse the gift shop. You can stroll the grounds to see the animals, vineyards and gardens.

We had a great experience - the tasting was very enjoyable, we walked around the grounds afterward - very cool farm atmosphere. The whole experience was nice and relaxing.

A beautiful setting set in the Lowcountry, this wonderful local Vineyard is making the most of what the tidelands have to offer. The Tasting Room is spacious and the wines are tasty and historically correct based on the little known fact that North and South Carolina have been growing grapes since before the Revolutionary War! The grounds offer free-roaming chickens and local farm animals set naturally in the background with outdoor vendors supplying food and music throughout the year. I highly suggest that you visit the website and tying in the local Distillery, Tea Plantation, and other historical sites to make it a great day trip!

So much fun! It’s a beautiful place - lots of live oaks and great scenery. The firefly distillery tasting was well worth the $6. There was live music (it was a Saturday) and a food truck! Overall such a fun time! Highly recommend it here!
