With a recently expanded retail space, there is now an entire store added to the original dedicated solely to wines from around the world and staffed with knowledgeable help. Liquors, mixers, ice, and beers and ales including those locally produced are available in the original store.

The main focus of this place is wine and they do a great job. I worked with Jeff to supply our wedding with great, affordable wines and they were very helpful. I love the selection and someone can always provide helpful commentary.

There are several liquor stores in the area. Each one seems to have a different pricing approach, and each one had something cheaper than the others. Wakefield liquors is reasonably average priced,but I mostly go there for their wine selection. The wines are arranged well, there are reliable staff picks, and in the nearly 7 years I been shopping there I've never had to return a wine.

I know this is simply a liquor store. But I couldn't believe they were not open on the 4th of July. There were so many people going to the fireworks. Many people check to see if the store was open so that they could get a few brews to enjoy the fireworks with. I was one of the few to check and find that this establishment was not open. Make a smart business decision and stay open on the 4th of July your bottom line and newly-acquired customers will thank you for it.

Good selection and all however, I went in recently and witnessed a manager being overly rude to an employee right in the open. Then the same manager proceeded to be rude to me as well. Not the kind of business/people I will support any longer. Spoke to some friends and community members who agreed management at this establishment are often rude and very stuck up. Disappointing seeing one of my favorite stores go down hill like this.
