This place was amazing! We have a pretty large liquor store close to home but we were in the area and decided to swing by. I'm glad we did. Incredible selection of everything. Great craft beer section. A must experience.

When in EG (East Greenwich), Do as EG's do. Thorpe's Wine & Spirits is a family owned liquor establishment that serves the greater East Greenwich area, but you don't have to be a local to appreciate them. I have found on many an occasion a wonderful selection of craft beers & wines. Simply based on size & location, one might be surprised at how well stocked & diversified Thorpe's is. I'll admit I have never had an issue finding something to tantalize my taste buds here. More over, the prices are very reasonable & often better than some other well known shops. Unlike other purveyors who will gladly charge shoppers full 6-pack prices for a case of beer, Thorpe's provides a discount. Keep in mind the discount applies to a case (24 beers) of the same make & model, but that's not the norm in RI. This is just how they roll. When it comes time to stock the fridge or outfit the cupboard, stop by & tell them Scotty sent ya.

The store had a great selection of wines and they were reasonably priced. As I am a tourist, I can't say how it compares to other stores. I live in a state where wine and beer are sold as food in the supermarket. There is no reason to separate foods. But then New England culture is just a bit religious.

I love Thorpes for its great craft beer selection, good collection of moderately priced (i. e. cheap) wines, and solid group of Scotch, Irish, and American whiskeys. The best booze in East Grin. PS Savory Grape, in its 2018 reincarnation has fancier wines, higher prices, and gone-to-heaven beer department, but Thorpe's has everything I drink: local beer, good single malt scotch, and cheap wines.
